2023.06.05 08:57 SteyEy Schlimmstes Onboarding im vermeintlichen Traumjob
Hallo liebe Leser,
Okay cool, also soll ich wohl erst Dienstag anfangen.

2023.06.05 08:37 Nat1IrregularFocus Friend w/ Bed Bugs - Action Plan to help?...
Has anyone ever SUCCESSFULLY beaten bed bugs themselves?
We're trying to help a friend deal with it, who has no budget for an exterminator (well, ANOTHER one). Their landlord absolutely will not help. They've tried on MULTIPLE occasions and the landlord is convinced our friends brought them in.
Regardless of whose fault it is, the bed bugs are there. We're trying to brainstorm how to get rid of them since the most recent pesticide guy failed.
The cheapest option we can think to do is a huge undertaking, but I think it WOULD work....
What we know: For the movable items and furniture: For the apartment unit itself (do simultaneously): Ignition Temperatures of common items are usually more than 400 degrees, which we cant hope to achieve even if we were trying:
https://www.tayloredge.com/reference/Science/ignition.html If the apartment was built to NV code, the temperatures we need should not be an issue, as follows:
https://up.codes › viewer › chapter › interior-finishes Interior wall and ceiling finish materials shall be classified for fire performance ... to room temperatures of
200°F (93°C) for not less than 30 minutes.
Interior finish materials regulated by this chapter shall be applied or otherwise fastened in such a manner that such materials will not readily become detached where subjected to room temperatures of 200°F (93°C) for not less than 30 minutes.
Do you think I am missing anything?
I am beginning to think that this is a lot less dangerous than I thought... Unconventional, but not quite DANGEROUS given the ignition temperatures of most materials.
The landlord is giving these poor people no other choice. Plus they have a newborn at home as part of their family of 6.
I'm over it. If the landlord doesn't want to help with the cost to exterminate, then what option is left???

2023.06.05 08:09 TheBigMan981 Connecticut is becoming California more or less
Article
here.
CT HB 6667 does the following:
- Absolute open carry ban (that is, no permit)
- Bans ghost guns in entirety (previously, ghost guns assembled before 2019 were not factored in). From what I know, there are some grandfathered unregistered long guns (and perhaps handguns?). Correct me if I’m wrong. I hope that a lawsuit challenging the unregistered and unserialized gun ban here gets filed soon. The self-making process before AB 1621 from what I heard was actually burdensome.
- Expands CT’s own AWB.
- Makes the punishment for LCM possession harsher
- Expansion of storage laws to apply in all situations
- All trigger locks required for sales. Hope that this gets challenged soon in our state besides in CT.
- Long guns when transported must be unloaded.
- Can’t buy more than 3 handguns within a 30-day period
- Under-21 rifle purchase ban that can accept more than 5 rounds expanded to private sales
- Updates training requirements for pistol permits. California has the option to jack up our FSC requirement in its sleeve.

2023.06.05 07:46 Lady-Allykai Best travel carrier to purchase?
Hi all! Just wondering what everyone uses and recommends for a good travel carrier. When I first got my hamster, I took her home in the CritterTrail she was kept in, but I threw it away after, having no intent to use it. When our power was out shortly after, and estimated to be out for at least a week, we brought her enclosure (then a large bin cage) to my partner's parents, as the temperature in the house got below 20°F (-6°C) and we were worried she would freeze to death. Not super feasable now with a 75 gallon aquarium.
What do you all use for travel carriers? I was looking at
https://www.chewy.com/frisco-top-entry-two-toned-small-pet/dp/291368 , but I've heard they've been a little flimsy? Honestly, I'm a little worried with anything that snaps together, top and bottom, and then has a carrier handle on top- it might seem a little silly, but I worry I would be carrying her and the top and bottom would unsnap, and she would fall. If they were more like the cat carrier type where you actually screw it together, I think I would be less worried.
Anyway, anyone got good recommendations to throw my way? Sorry, I seem to not be able to post without writing a book.
TL:DR: Good travel carriers for trips to the vet and such? Nothing fabric or mesh, she absolutely WILL chew through it. Thanks! :)

2023.06.05 07:43 Mr-Planet 2 Months. 3500 Miles Later // Rivian R1T Thoughts, Concerns & Prayers (Review/First Impression)
| Two months ago my life changed for the better when I got my R1T. Let me just say; I love this truck, I love this truck, I love this truck. The R1T is also my first-ever EV. After two months and 3500 miles, I'm here to tell you all that I have loved, hated, and everything in between. I hope this can be helpful for anyone who is considering making the jump to the Rivian family / EV world. Last Vehicle: 2020 Ford Escape SE Hybrid Rivian Config: 2023 Rivian R1T, Adv. Pkg., Quad Motor, Ocean Coast/Dark Ash Wood, Rivian Blue, 21" Wheels First Thoughts -Wow. This truck is stunning. I never did a First Mile (I know that was dumb, but I recommend everyone do a First Mile). But holy cow the inside of this truck is a work of art. -Dang, this thing is Fast!! Pulling out of the SC and first time letting loose a little and Holy S%! This is a truck that drives like a sports car. -The sound system is incredible. I love listening to music in this rig, it just sounds so good. -Love my colointerior combo. Definitely a little worried about keeping it clean in the long run, but I'm hopeful. Pros -The acceleration. This truck has made me a speed demon. You'll love showing off launches to your friends, but no one ever talks about all the solo launches you'll do owning this thing. Definitely have broken my previous land speed record as well. On a practical level, the truck's acceleration is great when you need to speed up and pass someone or get to speed on an on-ramp. -The ride is incredibly smooth. While the truck may drive like a sports car, it certainly rides like a truck. Roomy inside for all passengers. Even smooth off-road once you kick it into off-road mode. Mostly have only played with All Purpose, Sport, and Off-Road: Auto. Excited to play with those more, but honestly it's just truly amazing how differently the truck handles in different modes. It's like driving a whole new vehicle each time. -No gas!!! I have an L2 charger at home and use DCFC for road trips. Around town with the L2 charger is amazing. The savings I've had for owning a similar-sized ICE truck are insane. No oil changes, much less maintenance. Definitely loving the EV lifestyle so far. -Holy storage Batman. Storage everywhere!! Frunk, Gear Tunnel, Bed, Bed Compartment, Back Seat Compartment. I don't think I've come close to filling up this truck once yet on any of our trips. -The Tech in this truck is amazing. I love the big multiple screens/displays. Clear and easy to see. Same for all the cameras. The top-down view is amazing for parking. I was worried about parking a truck around the city, but the cameras make it a breeze. Fast phone chargers. 120v outlets everywhere. Air compressor in the bed. This truck is a tech masterpiece. Always a crowd pleaser, some party trick to show off. -OTA updates are the future for vehicles! The truck has gotten a handful of updates since I purchased it. Super cool to see new features getting added and customer concerns get addressed. -I drive a cool car now. I really didn't expect this part, but people on the street will turn their heads. People will come up to me in parking lots or at chargers and talk about the truck. I even caught one guy reversing down my street to come to talk to me about it. It's a really fun experience. Cons -The A/C... I can't say it doesn't work, because it does. Just not consistently? I've felt it blow the absolute coldest of air. But every once and a while; on really hot days, the truck refuses to do anything but blow hot air. No amount of fussing with the settings or doing resets seems to fix it. I have a ticket open with my SC to fix it and will report back. Hoping they find something, but reading other Reddit/forum posts makes me not so hopeful. The truck can get really unbearable on 100+ degree days and makes traveling with the pups somewhat scary. Hopefully, they fix this at my appointment! -Lack of RAN / having to use crappy charging networks. At home, I'm in bliss. I plug my truck in each night and wake up with a nice charged battery. Road trips so far have been hit or miss. It doesn't ever seem like I go anywhere with a RAN charger, so I'm forced to use lesser charging networks. Some days this works out fine: pull up, plug in, charge quickly, and be on your way. Other days are filled with trouble: broken equipment, offline stations, long lines, rude drivers, throttled charges, disconnecting chargers, etc. I really long for the day I get to use a RAN charger. -Range Anxiety is real. I do my best to overcome in my transition to EV life, but it's definitely hard coming from a Hybrid that could 600mi in a tank. I think with everything in regards to EVs it's best to think of them as their own new kind of vehicle rather than constantly comparing them to ICE vehicles. -All these accessories are so expensive. I know the truck has a high price tag itself, so if you can afford that you shouldn't complain, but it still hurts. $60+ for a front license plate holder clamp. Let alone all the stuff I want to buy for camping now... -I don't looooove my wheels and I think it's too expensive to change that now. Wish I got the 20" wheels, but went for the 21's for range. I hate the look of them. Took the plastic covers off and that helps a lot, but still not my favorite looking wheel and super expensive to change. -You're essentially buying a $100k truck from a start-up. Fingers crossed they don't go under. But also a slim amount of SCs means long wait times for appointments in busy areas. Everyone at Rivian I've dealt with has been super nice to be fair. Trips Include Various Day Trips, LA to the Desert / LA Nat'l Forrest LA to Coachella and Back (in a Single Day on a Single Charge!) LA to San Diego and Back LA to San Gregorio to SF to LA (most recent, longest trip) First-Time EV Thoughts // Rivian Fun Stories // Future Plans // Closing Thoughts -Fast Charging really isn't that bad of an experience when everything works properly and the charger is in a decent spot. Everyone groans about charging on the go, it's the thing I get asked about the most by non-EV owners. Yes, I know getting gas only takes 10 minutes tops. But when you can pull up with no line to a 350kw charger and have it start working right away; you can recharge the truck up to 80% in under 45 min. On trips you try and plan the charge stop around a meal or somewhere you can go shopping, and it's fine. You get 3-5 hours of drive time per charge and there's no reason I wouldn't want to stop after that time anyway. A good charger has a bathroom, restaurant/store, and trash can nearby (bonus points for chargers with doggie areas). -Plug in at your destination when traveling, even if it's just the L1 Charger and if it's only overnight. Trust me, get into the habit of doing it every time you travel. 20-30 miles in your battery can mean the difference between making it to a 50kw charger or a 350kw charger 25 miles further down the highway. I saw someone in here say ABC once, Always Be Charging. It's a good adage for having an EV at home, but I feel like it really rings true on road trips. If you stop somewhere and there's a fast charger there's really no reason not to plug in and charger while you're there. -I don't understand why EV chargers aren't treated more like gas stations. Seems like it'd be a good opportunity for them to expand. It would also be nice for charging areas to be shaded as generally, you see someone waiting in their car having to run the A/C. Hopefully, we see public charging stations improve as more people get EVs. -I'm actually kind of excited for Ford drivers to start using Tesla chargers. You always see no wait at SuperChargers and a long line at the non-tesla chargers when I travel in California. Hopefully, that will help clear up some of the CCS chargers for the rest of us. -Just because it's an EV Truck, doesn't mean it's not a truck MPGe-wise. Yes, I save a TON of money on fuel compared to let's say a Tacoma. But that doesn't mean that I pay the same in electricity as a Chevy Bolt driver. The R1T makes sense for me and my lifestyle. I can use the truck for work and personal life to its full extent. However, I don't think this is the perfect EV for every first-time EV owner. -I kill so many bugs now. It's crazy. Every drive is a slaughter. But the real question is, where do EV drivers get windshield cleaners like at the gas stations? They never seem to have them at chargers. -Someone once said I was like Night Rider driving my R1T, I thought that was really funny. My second best experience was pulling up to a truck stop in the middle of the desert and popping the frunk surrounded by 4x4 ICE pickups. -I really want to buy a pop-up tent for the back of my truck. My thoughts are for future travel having a fast camp option. How do you like to camp out of your R1T, what are your must haves? For me, I love the idea of getting an RV spot and charging off the hook-up. Having a tent that is set up quickly would be ideal. I'd probably also want to bring a small electric kitchen and a few chairs to eat at the tailgate. Thinking this would be a greater initial investment, but cheaper than getting hotels with chargers; especially since I often travel with 1-3 dogs in the truck with me :) -I think this truck is my favorite thing I've ever owned. It's certainly my favorite vehicle, but man this truck is something else. I just love driving now. Can't wait to see where I go in this! https://preview.redd.it/8f4jhqbc054b1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69d1484e6d9560b4219da5ab2ad3382e386dd2eb submitted by Mr-Planet to Rivian [link] [comments] |

2023.06.05 07:23 united_medicines_ A Comprehensive guide for unlocking the potential of Sildalis 120mg
| Sildalis 120mg tablets are a used by men for treating erectile dysfunction (ED). They are a combination of two active ingredients: Sildenafil citrate and Tadalafil. Sildenafil citrate and Tadalafil have the same active ingredient in Viagra. The combination of these two ingredients in Sildalis 120mg tablets provides a dual-action approach to treating ED. Sildalis 120mg unitedmedicines Why is Sildalis 120mg effective in managing pain? The underlying mechanism behind this potential pain-relieving effect is not yet clear, but there are a few theories: - Vasodilation: Sildenafil's ability to relax blood vessels and increase blood flow may potentially alleviate pain associated with conditions that involve reduced blood flow, such as peripheral vascular disease.
- Neuropathic pain modulation: Some research suggests that sildenafil might have a direct effect on nerve cells involved in pain signaling pathways, potentially influencing the perception and transmission of pain signals.
- Endothelial function: Sildenafil has been shown to improve endothelial function, which refers to the health and function of the cells lining blood vessels. Dysfunction of these cells can contribute to various pain conditions, and sildenafil's positive impact on endothelial function may indirectly alleviate pain symptoms.
How do you take Sildalis 120mg ? Sildalis is typically via oral route of administration, along with a glass of water. Here are the general instructions for taking Sildalis: - Consult your healthcare provider: Before starting Sildalis or any medication, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional who can assess your medical history, provide proper guidance, and determine if Sildalis is suitable for you.
- Follow the prescribed dosage: Sildalis is available in various strengths, including 120mg tablets. Your healthcare provider will prescribe the appropriate dosage based on your specific needs. It's important to strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and not exceed it.
- Timing of administration: Sildalis is usually taken around 30-60 minutes before anticipated sexual activity. This allows sufficient time for the medication to be absorbed and start working. It's important to note that Sildalis does not cause an automatic erection but requires sexual stimulation to be effective.
- Take with water: Swallow the Sildalis tablet whole with a full glass of water. Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet, as it is designed to be taken whole for proper absorption.
- Food and alcohol: Sildalis can be taken with or without food. However, it's important to note that high-fat meals may delay the onset of the medication's effects. Additionally, it is advisable to limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking Sildalis, as alcohol can potentially increase the risk of side effects.
- Duration of effect: Sildalis can provide an effective duration of action for several hours, typically ranging from 4 to 6 hours. The exact duration can vary depending on individual factors, such as metabolism and overall health.
When do you not take Sildalis 120mg? It's important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if Sildalis is safe and appropriate for you. Here are some instances where you should avoid taking Sildalis 120mg: - Allergies or hypersensitivity: If you have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Sildenafil, Tadalafil, or any other ingredients in Sildalis, you should not take the medication.
- Nitrate medications: Sildalis should not be taken concurrently with medications called nitrates or nitric oxide donors. Combining Sildalis with nitrates can cause a severe drop in blood pressure, leading to serious health complications. Nitrates are often used for the treatment of angina (chest pain) and are found in various forms, such as nitroglycerin tablets, patches, or sprays.
- Cardiovascular conditions: If you have a history of cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attack, stroke, unstable angina, or severe heart failure, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before taking Sildalis. These conditions can increase the risk of cardiovascular complications when using medications like Sildalis.
- Severe liver or kidney impairment: Individuals with severe liver or kidney impairment may have difficulties metabolizing and eliminating the active ingredients in Sildalis. 2023.06.05 07:23 StonedEdge Transferring video frames to Pi Pico from Python via serial or USB 2.0? Which?
Hi all,
I haven't written any code just yet, but I want to discuss the theoretical plausibility of sending a small video file (after converting to individual frames with Python) to a Raspberry Pi Pico over what I believe is USB and then to drive these frames to a SSD1351 128x128 OLED display connected to it.
A fifteen second (note fifteen) mp4 video, without audio, and scaled for my OLED screen is about 275kb. As an option, I can directly convert these video frames to RGB565. Note that the Pico RAM is only about 260kB, so sending the entire video directly to the Pico RAM is not an option here, so I would have to send the frames one after the other in real time. There can be a large number (hundreds) of images after conversion that will not fit in the Pico memory, so transmission will need to be on demand. The transmission capacity must be >= the frame rate (FPS) of course, as if the FPS is 30 frames per second, we need to be able to transmit 30 or more images per second to the Pico to avoid any flickestutter.
I am currently sending a single image frame just fine via the following line of code and that get sent through fine.
get_combined_image()
ser = serial.Serial(port, 115200)
data = open("combined.bin", "rb")
ser.write(
data.read())
data.close()
I suppose my question is, within the serial.Serial() function, what here does 115200 specify? Is this the baud rate transfer speed (i.e 115200 bits per second?). Is my data being sent over USB 2.0 or is it being sent over serial USB? Note that my pico is connected to the USB2.0 upstream port of the host device. The theoretical write speed of USB 2.0 is 4 to 8MB/second, and I not sure if the speed specified in the serial library setup is actually relevant here.
I would appreciate if someone could let me know if this is a possible implementation before I start chugging away at writing any code. (Is there any way I can print the transfer speed to the terminal for testing one single frame, for example?).
Thank you!

2023.06.05 07:06 ordinarycontents Thoughts on creatine as a dietary supplement? Feeling a little discouraged since recently experiencing some exhaustion/ muscle weakness and had to lower some of my weight sets.
For context, I'm 33F, 5'6". I started out at 256 lb in early March, and am currently at 215 lb through IF, CICO, water fasting (maybe a few days once a month primarily for autophagy and reducing insulin resistance), and 5 days a week of 30 min cardio with about 1-2 hour of weights (depending on how long it takes to complete my set that day with rests, waiting for machines, etc). I alternate days of push, pull, core/abs/lower back, rotator cuff rehab, and leg day.
My daily calories are typically 1200-1500 (BMR is around 1540 with 45.9% body fat according to my last health office assessment), and I try to hit at least 120g protein and around 20g carb per day. With rare exceptions, I cook my own food and weigh everything out with a food scale. In the past, I've had issues with reactive hypoglycemia, so I'm trying to stay low carb, high protein. I don't have a gallbladder, so I'm hesitant to do a high fat diet like keto.
I currently take a daily prenatal vitamin (not pregnant), as well as supplements for vitamin d (i have a deficiency), collagen peptides, and fish/krill oil along with a non-caffeinated pre-workout.
I don't have much meat in my diet, and get most of my protein from eggs, cheese/dairy, and whey protein, with a variety of vegetables (usually cucumber, tomatoes, and carrots), though i occasionally will have a salmon fillet or rarely some other kind of meat. I also aim to drink about 1 gallon of water a day with sodium <2000 mg (typically around 1500 or less).
My goal is to hit 150 lb and increase my strength and lifts. This was going well with a steady increase in my bench press, squats, deadlifts, etc while losing weight, but in the last 1-2 weeks, I feel I've been stalling or moving backwards. I was feeling great, better than i have in years, but lately I've been sluggish and had to move back to a lower weight on several different machines. I've also seen a dramatic decrease in my weightloss with only .6lb in the last week. Friday I had to call off work because I was feeling so exhausted and weak I couldn't get out of bed, so I ended up sleeping all day.
I'm really frustrated right now because I've been working so hard and don't know what else I can do. I've been thinking about adding a small dose of creatine just to bring myself up to a typical level of 2-3g a day since I don't typically eat meat, so I know I'm not getting it from my diet. Any help would be appreciated!

Timestamp
https://imgur.com/a/Z6AQDhI Listen up sluts, these are the rules:
-prices are negotiable, but zero flair must do asking price (no offers from newbies, pay your dues)
-due to the bulky nature of many of these items, shipping costs are not included. Send your zip code in your initial message and I'll get you a quote (I use pirateship)
-ppff, Venmo, or cashapp accepted
-bundles encouraged, extra discounts and cheaper shipping for bundles
-be nice or I'll cry
Ok let's dive in. 1. Eberlestock Fac Trac. Dry earth color way with an upgraded coyote padded hip belt. No original hip belt or rain fly included. Seen one day hike, shows purely cosmetic signs of use. To be specific, there's some water spots on the bottom of the bag and one of the carry handles has a little fuzz from where I was experimenting with onewrap. $200
- Eberlestock RMEF. Very similar pack to the fac Trac, but it has an external frame, a built in rifle scabbard, and meat straps. Never fielded but might show some bumps/scuffs from storage. $175
- Catoma burrow LTE. Box is a pretty messed up but the tent is in perfect condition. I bought this as a backup to my other one in case I needed parts but I never did so this is unused and complete. $70
- Karrimor sabre side pockets. Pair. Coyote. Brand new with tags. Fits PLCE type bags. $40 shipped
- Karrimor Predator large utility pocket. Grey. $20 shipped. Brand new with tags
6. sico asr flash hider, 1/2x28 .224 caliber. Lightly used, but never rocket sett. No Shims or rocksett included. $70 shipped - Garmin instinct solar tactical. Brand new in box, I charged it once and connected the bluetooth to my phone, decided it wasn't for me. $200 shipped
- Altama maritime mids in mcb. Probably 4/10 condition, wore them a few times. Size 12. These run super tight so definitely size up if you want them. $30 or free if you buy over $300
- Olight warrior X tan. Includes picatinny rail mount and magnetic pressure switch. Slightly used. Too bulky to pocket carry and no longer needed as a wml, so you get this for $80 shipped.
- Primos trigger stick gen 3 Jim Shockey edition Tall. Comes with both qd attachments (gun rest and threaded post) and a molle scabbard that I cut the shoulder strap off. Used a couple times at the flat range for glass but never shot off of. $90 buy this and get a cvlife sling stud bipod free.
- Surplus MSS partially complete. Decent condition but definitely used. Includes woodland bivy, black intermediate bag, grey patrol bag, but not the original stuff sack. I'll include an alps mountaineering stuff sack. $100
- Sba3 coyote. Used, free with any purchase
- Prescription inserts for Wiley X saber glasses. May fit other Wiley x frames, idk. Has my old prescription of -2.5 left -1.5 right, 70 PD. Free to anyone, just pay shipping.
- Clapped out Turkish Alice pack with all the good mods. $75
- Camelback backpack, idk much about it but it's pretty beat up. Bigger than a 3 day pack with hella pockets. Make an offer, I just need this gone and it's too nice to throw away.
I'm rushing to post this so my timestamp is still valid. More pics on request for serious buyers, I may add pics to the album

2023.06.05 05:50 Precious_taters_123 Should I worry about these light green spots?
| First time grower. Slurriking freebie about 17 days old. I noticed what looks like a little light green spot on one leaf and a trail or something on another blade of the same leaf. Is it normal? Pest? Nutrient issue? More grow info... 30 gallon no till. Soil about six months old (previously had a bunch of herbs going). Fed roots organic uprising grow about a week ago. Lighting at about 300ppfd 18hrs per day. Water every couple days. Soil is pretty bioactive w/ worms, rove beetles, mites, etc. There's another plant in there (blue zorroso, same age) that isn't having any issues. Any help would be appreciated. Just trying to get ahead of any potential issues. submitted by Precious_taters_123 to microgrowery [link] [comments] |
