I am 39 years old. I had a FUT surgery back in 2007 when I was 24. I think it was like 1000 grafts just in the hairline. I lost a ton more hair since then. I am one of those unfortunate dudes that has extensive hair loss, a weak donor area, and low caliber hair follicles. I sent in online applications to 6 different clinics. I got outright denied by 2, ignored by 3, one wanted an in-person consultation prior to making a decision. Fortunately, my #1 pick, Dr. Feriduni, asked for a lot more pictures and agreed to take me as a patient. He did give a caveat that he reserved the right to refuse to perform the surgery if upon seeing my donor area in person he did not think I was a good candidate.

When I arrived for my first surgery in August, I met with Dr. Feriduni the day before for a consultation and I was very happy to hear that my donor area actually looked better in person and under a microscope. I should add here, that while I heard lots of good things about his office and staff, I was extremely impressed. Everyone was very nice and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. They were also very professional and courteous. Dr. Feriduni himself is very passionate about his work and it shows. When I was with him during the consultation, I had his undivided attention and he made sure that we were on the same page for the game plan. He also is just a super nice and compassionate guy.
The next day I got there at 7:30 am and surgery was all day to around 4pm. My first surgery was the front and mid scalp. Originally the game plan was to not touch the hairline and just rely on the grafts from my 2007 surgery for my hairline. This was not ideal but with my limited donor, we had to be economical with the graft placement. I was happy to learn in the middle of the surgery that they were able to extract more grafts than originally anticipated and there were a few hundred additional grafts. Dr. Feriduni asked me if I wanted these grafts to be placed in the hairline and I said absolutely. He focused on the center of the hairline. He also took around 50 grafts from my chest and placed them in a designated area to test to see if they survive. The entire process was very relaxed. Whatever they put in the IV is absolutely amazing. I actually slept for a good portion of the surgery. They ordered me a really tasty sandwich for lunch. The entire time they were making sure I was always comfortable. I really cannot speak more highly of Dr. Feriduni and his amazing team.

I started to notice growth around month 5. By month 7 I was very satisfied. It was life changing not having to have to use fibers and it was very fun getting to try new hair styles. I think the best part was not giving a damn if it was windy outside.

My second surgery was 8 months later May 3-4. During the consultation Dr. Feriduni noted that all of the chest grafts survived so day one was more scalp grafts and day 2 was chest and bears grafts. The original plan was to only do the crown, but I asked Dr. Feriduni if there are any extra single follicle grafts to spare, if he could put them in the temples and he agreed. After the second surgery I was very happy to finally be done and I am looking forward to my final form.

Just beaten all levels of Gnarly Billy. Here are some tips for him:
a. Use the only melee the first two waves. This will help save on ammunition you will NEED for later.
b. Wave 3 onwards, run along the wall and use your guns. You are gonna need a stupid number of guns or melee if you lack bullets, enough to break through (6000 hp with 40%~60% armour).
c. His vomit will leave acid pools that heal zombies and slow+damage you. If he does that, stand as far as possible and lure him out of it ASAP.
d. His parasites have extremely smoll trigger range. Keep your distance and round them up near the centre (DO NOT ATTACK). Once they are near the middle, run through them to detonate them (they are suicide bonbers) and continue as usual.
Note: His parasites will not melee, their suicide explosion releases acid pools that dont heal but slow and damage players!
Roll skills will help detonate the parasites without Gnarly getting a hit in on you

Right now it's 11 p.m. I'm sitting in my bedroom stimulating the question. I'm F18 just finished High School 3 weeks ago. Just to be aware I was diagnosed with anxiety in 2018.
I never had trouble paying attention when I was little. I never had trouble understanding what was asked for such as favor, how my day was, or where something is. But I realize that in softmore-junior year when covid hit higher and it was just after during math class I started to notice I was having trouble paying attention.
Softmore year for me was more difficult because my school shut down for online instead. But when junior year hit I felt more dumb. I blame it on covid because Covid mostly mess up everyone trying to focus doing their school work or work in general.
My mom came into my Room just the other day and she noticed my pile of clothes on a chair and behide the chair. She said 'That's what makes me think you have ADHD, because the way you pile your clothes all the time.'
I won't lie, it's hard for me to put my clothes away. When I do laundry I do put them away neatly in the bins, but now I just throw them more all over the chair with dirty clothes and I try hard.
I am overly emotional, a couple of times tears came out of eyes and I was perfectly fine. I feel at least 3-5 years younger than I actually am. I feel like I still have a childlike mindset.
I still feel like I cannot connect with others because of it. I now have trouble paying attention because even one on one, I have thoughts running in my head and it cancels out when someone is trying to speak to me.
I stimulate alot, I cannot pay attention to most movies unless I really want to watch it or enjoy it as it goes on, I have a very strong imagination and it bothers me alot, I daydream alot more now.
I ask 'what, please repeat that, say that again' now because I feel like I can hear what someone is asking me but I can't fully process what they are saying. I have a better grip of it but I used to stay still for a few minutes in silence trying to think of an answer or what they said.
I used to be able to pay attention to details not including drawing but now I can't. And alot of stuff when I am asked for, it's right in front of me and I can't see it even though it right there.
I get spasms or tics in my legs, it gets worst with anxiety but I notice when I am relax I don't get it. I get most of the tics In my legs at night. However I notice I get them everywhere in my body during the day but not alot.
I am forgetful more. I even have these mood swings where now I get super excited for a period of time but then get bored and give attitude when I don't mean to. For example it's like I'm bored and depressed (not because someone did something to me but just out of the no where I feel like that)
I used to watch TV all the time but now I have trouble trying to relax and watch it. Same with YouTube, its like I'm bored of it and it really bothers me.
I talk over people alot when I don't mean to, I shout answers when I don't mean to when I am suppose to raise my hand...it's difficult.
And it's really starting to effect my personal life. Is this ADHD?
And if it does sound like ADHD, then I will make an appointment with my doctor to see can get a test for it.
A couple of times I hear my mom may have ADHD but was never comfirm. Please help!

I'm new to shrimp keeping still, and I recently upgraded my betta to a 10 gallon and decided to make his old 3 gallon tank a shrimp tank. I included everything I could think of for the ideal shrimp tank. Temperature is 80° and tank was cycled from my betta. I initially had 7 (5 blue velvet and 2 king kongs), but one just died (found its remains) and I have only been seeing four of them. I am not sure if the other two missing ones died, or if they're just really good at hiding, but I haven't seen them for 3 days now which concerns me. Not sure what the cause of death was as the parameters look good and I've been doing weekly water changes. So, is there anything I can do to improve?

2023.06.05 08:35 Healthy-Swimmer-129 My (f35) friend (f47) told her 8yo that I'm pregnant, after I asked her not to, risking my mother finding out that I told her first and triggering my mom's subsequent, endless guilt-tripping - Do I say anything?

I can't tell if I'm overreacting to this all and blowing things out of proportion, but I lost a lot of sleep over this last night.
Background (it's long, sorry) :
I am very, very recently pregnant: 6 weeks today. While my husband and I were trying, it happened almost instantaneously so he and I are still a bit shocked over my being pregnant so quickly. He and I are really happy about it, but cautiously so: I'm older, I have fibroids, and the risk of miscarriage is already about 1 in 5 pregnancies without any other factors. We are not 'scared' of miscarriage as we know it's common and personally see it as a way that biology helps ensure healthy bodies by 'checking' for viability before the full, full swing of development gets going. (I know not everyone feels this way, and it can be incredibly painful - if you've ever had a miscarriage, I send you big hugs and wishes for another, viable pregnancy.) So, while we're excited, I'm not thinking about my pregnancy 'as a baby' just yet, and are instead being excited and happy and curious to see 'if this one sticks around or we try again.' I hope that framing makes sense.
I am close with my mom and with my family, but as with everyone I'm sure, have complicated relationships with my family members. We are also both expats, and I live a 13 hour flight, 8hr timezone difference, away from my family. My mom is a 'mom's' mom, if you get me, and always wanted to be a mom, took to it like water and loves it - in many ways, this was wonderful growing up, and also means she LOVES babies and would be very excited about me being pregnant. With this partly in mind, my husband and I decided to wait to tell our parents. We wanted to get past the initial early higher risk weeks, so that when we told family we could be more straightforwardly excited with them without any of the cautious framings of 'this is a pregnancy, not a baby yet' that in particular, is a nuance I don't think my mom can grasp. Also, a few days after we got the positive test (and normalised to the shock), my little sister announced that she and her partner were going to get court-house married a week later (they are nomads in a sense, and have talked about getting married for a while, but now is a ripe time due to immigration reasons) and the last thing I wanted to do was in any way steal focus from this very exciting news of hers, in which the family attention and spotlight absolutely deserves to be shining on her. My younger brother and I didn't attend, but us siblings had fun convos and chats and picture sharing.
SITUATON:
So, on to the actual issue. My good friend, Fiona, who is a family friend (she was our neighbour when I was 13, she was 27, and my mom was in her early 40s), has come to visit me for a week, with her 8 year old son. She lives in a country different from mine and my mom's but my mom is also an expat, and annually goes back to visit her natal home, about 2-3 hrs drive from Fiona's home. She'll sometimes go to see Fiona while she's back visiting. As Fiona is between my mom and I in age we both have close relationships with her, and she's been a bit like an older sister to me over the years.
I debated telling Fiona that I'm pregnant because it's still so early and because I haven't told my mom yet, but decided to because a week seemed like a long time to 'hide' this from a house guest and because I'm close with Fiona, know she would be excited for me, and because I wanted the experience of telling someone like family 'in person' to get that experience of a real hug after the news. I also knew she'd understand the nuance of 'pregnancy' vs 'baby', and thought I knew that she's respect how private and careful I like to be about things.
I told her I was pregnant her first morning, saying 'but it's a secret!' and stopped her before she turned to tell her son (her son doesn't speak English so didn't understand when I told her) by saying 'Don't tell him!' Over the next couple days, we talked about pregnancy etc a lot (she has A LOT to share) and in those conversations I again made it clear that she especially cannot, please, tell my mom that I told her first/ I love my mom dearly and we also have a pattern in which I look after her feelings a lot in our family bc she can her feelings hurt easily if she feels she's excluded from stuff, or 'preferred' over others, and when something goes wrong in the family in this regard, I can often get guilt-tripped about it for a long time. She had a strained relationship with her mom, and in some ways growing up, I mothered her. Is this entirely healthy? No, of course not - I recognise this and work on it in therapy, but it is what it is, and you can't change all your dynamics in life, just manage them as best you can, and one way I was going to that, was manage the flow of information for this situation. I talked about all this, not for the first time, so Fiona knows.
Then yesterday, I was on a hike with my husband, Fiona and her son, and asked my husband to surreptitiously to take a 'pre-bump' photo of me with the beautiful backdrop. Her son then asked, slyly, 'What are you doing?' I immediately answered, in his language, 'Oh I love this view, and I want to get really fit so want a before and after photo', but then Fiona chimes in 'She wants to take pictures so she can see how the baby is growing over time' and then must have seen the shocked look on my face and says to me 'Oh I told him the news this morning.' I then immediately turned to the kid and said 'Ok, now that you know, you have to promise me that you understand that this is a secret, and know one can ever know that you know! Ok?' (probably a dumb thing to tell a kid that you want to keep a secret, but it was a instant reaction to the shock and fear I had). Fiona then goes, 'Don't worry! He won't say anything - and plus your mom won't come to visit me - she hardly ever does even when I ask her to!' (There is a some minor beef there I think that I didn't entirely know about).
I feel really shocked by this, because I thought I was really clear about not telling her son when I first told her. Though I didn't mention this boundary again in direct terms, I expressed my anxiety about my mom finding out she knew first (my mom is coming to visit her natal home again in a few months for a couple months). My worry is that my mom is going to go visit Fiona, or Fiona and her son will go to visit my mom, and they will talk about my pregnancy (at that point the news will be 'out') and then her son with chime in with 'Oh I knew about that, I found out when I was visiting X(me)' - he's really taken with this trip so I think it'll loom large on his memory for a while. Also, this kid, like many 8 year olds, is a total chatterbox and has fun disobeying his mother and other adults. I'm not judging here - I volunteer with kids his age - but he is not reliable to follow directions, imho.
My god, this turned into a long post. But I lost sleep over this last night - both feeling upset and kind of pissed off that she told her son, background worry that my mom will find out and all the crap I'll likely have to deal with afterwards, annoyance at myself for having taken the risk to tell her in the first place (ultimately, it's my fault for creating a situation in which this could happen, as the buck stops with me).
Do I tell my friend that her doing this upset me and has triggered my anxiety? If I do say something, when do I do it? I know she's be so looking forward to this trip for a long time - she's been working so hard on a particular project for a while and has been effectively a single parent for many years bc her husband works for weeks away throughout the year. She's also always been very sweet to me over the years and was genuinely so happy and touched that I told her. I don't want to ruin, or sour, this important trip for her - first time she's travelled in 4 years.
Or do I just let this go, and learn from my mistake? And work on not building up resentment, and managing my anxiety as my mom's trip back home gets nearer?
I'm in two minds because I'm not sure what would usefully come from me saying anything, besides 'getting it off my chest', or asking her to 'not talk about my pregnancy with her husband at home so that the knowledge get's reinforced in her kid's head'. That feels almost controlling though, and maybe I need to learn that I just can't control this news once it's out?

TL:DR: I thought I made it clear to my foreign friend to not tell her young son about my very early pregnancy because I have worries my mom will find out that I told her first, if he blabs when she visits their family in a few months. I will then likely have to deal with my mom's hurt feelings and guilt tripping. Do I tell my friend that her doing this upset me and has triggered my anxiety? If I do say something, when do I do it? Or do I just let this go, and learn from my mistake? And work on not building up resentment, and managing my anxiety as my mom's trip back home gets nearer?

Hey All, I recently moved from India during the second sem in January to the California. Being unaware about how things work here and getting used to a system that is completely Different that what i’m used to was a struggle and because of which I have a Gpa of 3.4 at the moment (I’m a rising Junior ). I always hear people going to amazing colleges having perfect GPAs and I don’t think i’ll be able to recover from this. I’m sure I’ll be able to get all As moving forward because It wasn’t the actual tests that held me back since i’m used to them from India but other things like assignments and homework. Do you guys still think I’ll be able to Get a good UC or even a Better school? Im hoping to major in CS

My best friend of about four-ish years has really been getting on my nerves lately. He seems to be incapable of talking about anything other than himself. Any single time I bring up something about me, I can talk for about 30 seconds before the conversation gets switched to something about him which he will babble on about for what feels like forever. I don't feel like I am capable of getting a single word out and feel this is a very one-sided friendship at this point.
He's always had this issue to some extent where he can be a bit full of himself but it seems to have gotten significantly worse these past few weeks/months. I don't recall it ever being as bad as it is now. I feel like he knows nothing about my life from these past few months despite us talking 1-3 times a week. Our mutual friends say they feel the exact way and some have been getting fed up as well.
I've tried to bring it up in the moment in a lighthearted/sort of sarcastic way like: "Dude, you've been talking for like ten minutes straight... can I say something?" which works in the moment but doesn't last long. I think it may be time to be a little more serious with it and really lay out my aggravation. This is a friendship I care about a lot so I obviously don't want to come off too harsh and whiny.
Any advice on how to go about bringing this up?

I didn’t grow up with much money and as a result I tend to keep my clothes forever. I struggle to throw anything away because
(1) I might still be able to wear it (2) trends and styles always come back (3) it can be reused somehow (I can’t garbage clothing as I don’t want it to end up in landfills) or (4) I paid too much and would only resell it if I could.
I’ve been trying to improve my style, but I only wear: - staying in “home clothes” / loungewear - athletic clothes - club wear - business casual / formal for work if I need to go into the office (like 2 times a month) - event wear (formal dresses)
As a result, I have so many things that would be considered regular day to day wear that is too nice for the house but not necessarily dressy enough for an event - but I don’t wear any of this often enough.
I feel like I only wear house clothes or nice dressed up clothes.
As a result, my closet is overflowing. I also tend to buy mostly for events that I only wear once.
Does anyone else deal with this? How do you manage staying up to date on trends, while keeping your closet smaller, or not spending so much money on clothes? I like to be fashion forward but I’m finding it difficult…

One night at Sky Camp in Point Reyes, CA. 22 mile loop (11/11) with a total of +2,500’ vert. 3 1/2 hrs out, 2 1/2 hrs back. Was supposed to only be 17 miles rt but unexpected trail closures forced us to take a longer route. Always check the current conditions before setting out! A mistake I won’t make again🥴 I’ve had Cody and Ranger for 16 and 13 years, respectively. They’re both athletic, competitive horses so this is what they’d consider their light retirement work! I’ve only recently discovered packing with my horses and I’m addicted! I get to hang out with my boys and I don’t have to haul all my crap up the mountain myself😅 I’ll be doing two nights here (Sky and Wildcat) in august watch this space

2 lbs (900g) Japanese Wagyu Ribeye - Grade A5
4 cloves of garlic, minced

Instructions:
