I(M 19) have been abroad for a few years and I decided to return this summer for the first time. Obviously enough, my family want to spend time with me (ofc so do I) a bit too much but nothing really of control. Although, the last straw being my mother. She loves to apply her opinions on others even the smallest of things. This in turn kinda hurt our relationship as both of us are quite hot-tempered. So the very first days of the trip, my brother(M 14),me and my cousin (M 16) planned to see the new Spiderman movie. Dad wants to invite the cousin (M 12) from mom’s family side. To clear things, I never hate him bc they they are my family anyways, I have not seen him for a long time too. But having to babysit them a whole day in a mall, is an obvious pain to bear, especially you plan to have FUN. Plus, my brother gets along with them so well that he will likely to cause troubles (kids ig). When my father suggested this idea, I quickly feel pissed bc of the responsibility. Before anything, I admit I’m in the wrong too since I was the one to agitate things. Consequently, mom as always accused me of hating them and being selfish. Now I have no idea what to do since she is also mad at me. What should I do accordingly?

SO in my school hot wheels are popular and i collect them so sometimes i bring them to school and play with them with my friends but Recently i got a new hot wheels set that my Uncle bought for me Yes my uncle bought it for me and it was really expensive like 30$ for 1 set of 4 cars and i was really Grateful for it then i took it to school to play during free time but after i got home i was looking for it in my backpack and I realized that someone stole it and i know who stole it was one of my friends that took it i know this because he steals stuff from people all the time and also someone told me that he said he took it.After i found out he took it i was mad like mad mad to the point i was thinking of doing something bad to him but i went on my phone and texted him that if he stole it but can you guess what he said he said that he did not take it but after i said "then why is every body telling me that you stole it" he left me on seen i don't know if i should be the bigger person or do something about it. Also he knows that my uncle got it for me.

I was in the process of filing a court order but he threatened to keep my dog from me if I did. I let my guard down and thought maybe he could be a decent person.

I was almost away from him for a full month. I am now living in the same house as he is but we’re “separated but trying”
He is 100% adamant that we will be together again.
I don’t have anywhere to go, I don’t have enough money to support myself and pay the mortgage as well. I don’t have enough for lawyer fees and aside from all of that.
He has emotionally drained me.
He makes these promises, he treats me well, he love bombs me and he makes me feel really good about myself. He’s picture perfect and being open with his feelings without blaming me.
He stopped drinking and doing VRChat. He argues he’s going to change, it goes on for hours. The guilt, the pain, the overwhelming feelings of comfort and closeness because of the deep and close conversations I’ve always wanted are happening.
I feel like a coward. I feel like I haven’t tried hard enough. I feel like I’m a fucking idiot.
He will not change. He made it intentionally impossible for us to separate. He only cares about himself and he was living a great stress free life at the expense of me.
I’ve been having thoughts about hurting myself. I’m having hallucinations and can’t do anything around the house.
In he swoops and is being that person I’ve needed him to be for 7 and a half years.
This is the reality of long term abusive relationships. I don’t believe he’s going to change but I have no other option.

I(20M) feel like I'm just drifting everyday. The only sense of routine I have that helps me from complete insanity are my morning and evening jogs. I don't even like jogging but I do it because it's the only times I feel like weightless. I went from an overachiever to a social recluse with no aspirations or wants. The only thing that truly made me happy I denied myself all these years because I was (and am still) a pushover and now I feel like it's too late to do anything about it. I've tried persuing my passion but it has lead me to nowhere but burnout and heartache. I hated living paycheck to paycheck (back when I part timed) and yet when pressed abt finally going to college (like originally planned out for me) I don't feel anything at all. I keep comparing myself to my peers – "why can't I just bite the bullet and be like them?" or "they're majoring in things they hate too, why can't you(me) just bring yourself to do the same?" Everything has lost its spark to me, everything bores me to tears. My sibling is younger than me but is so much more grounded than me and I feel a deep sense of shame. My parents and relatives are disappointed at me but when have they ever not been. I just had a one sided fight with my mum who was frustrated at my lack of enthusiasm for a college degree I was offered. I feel like I'm broken and I only have myself to blame. I've tried and yet I feel like the harder I do, the more setbacks I face. I desperately want to persue my passion but I don't know if it's worth it anymore. The only thing I'm good at, I don't feel any love for it despite deluding myself into thinking that I did for all these years. I just needed to get this out.

The president of the New Development Bank of BRICS, former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, has announced that Argentina will be accepted as a member in the coming months, a move that could open the door to fresh financial backing.
Rousseff informed Economy Minister Sergio Massa on Thursday that Argentina will become part of the NDB once a plenary BRICS meeting in August approves its entry.

Hi all. I'm a tax resident of Australia, however I'm a US citizen. I've made income in both countries this year. The Australian tax year runs from July 1st-June 30th and US tax year from Jan 1st-Dec31st. If I am a tax resident of Australia, do I ignore the tax year DATES in America? I understand I file in both countries, and that I declare my global income to the country I am a tax resident of, and that there is a tax treaty in place to protect from double taxation; however, I am confused about how this works declaring income made in America to the IRS during the US tax year dates and how that overlaps with my global income that is declared in Australia to the ATO during the Australian tax year dates. Hopefully I'm making sense?

2023.06.07 03:05 BOTWgoat Help with my 1 year old cat getting used to new kitten!

Like the title says, I’m hoping to get my cat used to having other cats around, namely the kitten we just found.
My cat, Clo, dislikes ALL cats. She’s great with my dog, but she growled and hissed at the vet, at my brother (who was around cats before coming over), and when she’s at my parents house (they have cats). She is going to have to stay at my parents for a week while I’m out of town. She will be in her own room, and she has some anxiety meds from the vet in case she needs it.
I found a 5ish week old kitten in my front bushes 2 days ago. I searched for a mama cat or other kittens all around, but no sign. I’m going to keep him until he can be neutered, then decide what to do from there. I am keeping him in my bathroom, and let him run in my room when I can. It’s an apartment so not a ton of space to keep separate easily.
She is constantly hissing and growling when she smells him or when he’s around. When he’s locked away, she doesn’t care but as soon as he meows or she realizes he’s there, it’s back to being aggressive. She has not tried to attack, and I don’t let them near each other without me holding him or him in his cage. She is still eating and playing like usual, not hiding away very much. She grew up since 2 weeks without other cats around consistently (she played with my parents cats as much as I could get her over there).
Does anyone have any tips for getting her to accept other cats or at least stay calm around them? I want to foster eventually if I can, but I cant of course if she can’t get used to cats.
