Hi, I am writing this post in the hope you can help me better understand the situation I am in.
Me and my boyfriend (both 22 y.o) have officially been together for 3 months. The relationship is pretty healthy all around, we are both very open to communicate with each other, have never had a fight yet, and I would say we are pretty much alike in many aspects.
My problem is, however, with the attention he gives me. I feel like it is not enough. We have talked about it already, not too long ago, and I hoped we would have seen some improvements, even small ones, by now. But no.
He said himself that his last relationship ended because of her breaking up with him because: "You don't give me enough attention". I, in my last relationship on the other hand, had a very caring and present partner, who never really made me feel 'left beside'. So this whole feeling is quite new for me, and I don't find myself comfortable in it.
I want to give you a couple of examples of what I mean by feeling 'left beside' by my boyfriend.
Two weeks ago, we had the opportunity for the first time, to spend the entire weekend alone at my place. I knew my parents had to go on a trip, but did not have a set date, so I asked him when he would have been free from his commitments, to spend the weekend together. We had never even had sex at that point.
So, I thought, we would have spent the entire weekend together, because it was novelty and because we both couldn't wait for that occasion to happen. No, we didn't. He got to my house just in time to have dinner on Saturday evening, then told me he had to go away on Sunday after lunch, because he and his friends had planned a DnD match. Next morning, we wake up way too late, so I cook him a quick lunch and he rushes out to play with his friends. And by the way, he plays DnD with his friends pretty much every weekend. I didn't say anything right then and there, but I felt very much like another commitment he had to check on his to do list.
Now, second example, a few days ago he casually mentions him and his Airsoft team postponed a 3 day tournament (because some people could not be there at that date) to... my birthday weekend. He said: "I said I would be free that weekend because, well, your birthday is on Thursday". Which is true, but I would have liked to organize something with my friends and him on Friday or Saturday evening... or even, plan out a little trip for us to go for my birthday... but now I can't, and if I do throw a party... he be won't be there. This would be my first birthday with him. It's another special occasion we cannot have together.
In general, he always seems to make time for his friends first, and only then, if theres some time left in his schedule, make time for me. We have gone out on a proper date only 3 times since we've been together: two of which, with our respective friend groups to meet for the first time.
He never asks me questions about my hobbies, my interests, he just keeps up with the conversation when I bring them up.
He says he loves me and cares for me very often, and I can't help but start to feel like it just isn't true. I know you cannot give a precise opinion with just this little information I can give you. I am just a tad bit hesitant about bringing this conversation up again because I don't wanna sound like the nagging girlfriend who wants him all for herself and drag him away from his friends, this is not my intention. I have friends too, but I think it is normal, once someone gets in a relationship, that they may have to spend a little less time with their friends as they once did, in order to balance this new commitment into their schedule.
I don't know what to do, because we al ready talked about it and he said he recognized his actions and agreed to what I said, he said he was sorry and would try to do better. I don't want to put pressure on him, but honestly I am just not happy in this relationship because of this.

tl;dr: my boyfriend prioritizes time with his friends than with me. we already talked about it and i am unsure whether to bring it up again...

Let me start off by saying this happened a few years ago but my aunt recently found out and now I’m being called an asshole for it.
For some background, I (25F) was raised by my mother and have no real relationship with my biological father. The last time I saw my father in person was when I was either 15 or 16 and had visited him and his side of the family for a week in the summer. He had taken no part in raising me as he lived on other the other side of the country. He never visited. Never came to sports events and never called.
The first time I had seen him since I was probably 1/2 was when I was 11 the summer before going into middle school with my mom. When I had gotten there I had learned that had another little sister and 2 younger brothers (all about 5-7 years younger than me) who he was raising with my stepmom.
And though it was nice meeting them and everyone on my father’s side of the family(Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandad) I had never really created a connection with anyone and no one had tried to stay in contact with me. The only person who had tried to somewhat stay in contact with me was my father’s wife who would send me Happy Holiday and Happy Birthday texts every now and again. Though no sorts of texts would come from my Father who was given my cellphone number at the same time as my stepmom. My cellphone number has not changed since middle school to this day.
Because I did live on the other side of the country my mom did have my father on child support but it wouldn’t have even been enough to survive on. We used it for competition fees in gymnastics. My mom has never spoken bad about my father but after endless years of no contact and empty promises from him I didn’t want or feel the need to have a relationship with my him.
So to the actual AITA…My father texted me out of the blue on my 22nd birthday “Happy Birthday”. He had not sent me a text or called me since Christmas 2 years before that. He then asked me if I was doing well.
I didn’t want to respond after seeing it but during that time I thought it would be funny to send him a request on his Zelle, Cashapp and Venmo accounts that I found using his number saying “Father Application Fee $2500”. Then I sent him a text saying, “please pay the application fee to acquire a response from daughter”. He sent me a flurry of texts telling me that I was disrespectful and we had gone back and forth before I decided to block him.
Recently I was on the phone with my aunt (his sister) who I have begun connecting to have a relationship with. She had asked me when the last time I had spoken to my father. I relayed to story to her and instead of finding it funny she said that I had been an asshole.

I need some advice/perspective/encouragement, I've just started my first official full-time role as a marketing coordinator.
I am not reaching deadlines, I am taking care of social media plan for our agents while coordinating 5 divisions in the company, coordinating billboards, radio adverts, digital banners, articles, website maintenance, random artworks, admin work, updating budget, adhoc social media posts, answering fb messages, helping in events, coordinating photos shoots and more.
Every division is not happy with the marketing. Its just me in the marketing department apart from outsourced social media agents. I am still developing my communication skills and getting used to the process of marketing and approvals needed, so I struggle to calculate the time needed for the approvals.
I feel like I'm running from one task to the another and never putting my best. How do you organise your time?I am thinking to get a diary planner with times. But there's always emails to answer which are consistently coming in.

If you are familiar with both Dostoevsky and Vonnegut, have you noticed any interesting parallels between their works/philosophies? I’ve loved Vonnegut for a long time and I’m just getting into Dostoevsky (I’ve read Crime and Punishment twice and The Brothers Karamazov once. I plan to read the rest of his stuff ASAP!). If I’m understanding everything correctly, it seems like the two authors disagree on some pretty fundamental issues. However, something about Vonnegut’s emphasis on love and community amidst suffering reminded me of what I know about Dostoevsky so far.
The story of Boaz and the harmoniums especially seemed to fit in with Dostoevsky’s view of love as self-sacrificing service based on faith rather than reason. From what I’ve read so far (which isn’t much), it seems like Dostoevsky would agree that the purpose of a human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved. Only, he would identify God as the source of that love and religion as the purest way to practice it, while Vonnegut would identify humanity as the source and religion as merely one potential tool for facilitating love.
Also, I think Dostoevsky would understand Vonnegut’s thing about extended families. The story of the onion and the importance of good memories from childhood both made me think of the interconnectedness between humans that is so important to Vonnegut.
Oh, and it seems like Raskolnikov could benefit from learning that “just because some of us can read and write and do a little math, that doesn't mean we deserve to conquer the Universe”!
Of course, when it comes to most things, Vonnegut reminds me more of Ivan Fyodorovich Karamazov. With a few tweaks, I think Ivan Fyodorovich’s Grand Inquisitor could be a Kilgore Trout story. And I’ve heard that “there is one other book, that can teach you everything you need to know about life…it's The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, but that's not enough anymore.” I guess I just want to think about the two authors in tandem because they have the same rare talent for making both the immense suffering and the immense joy of existence clear, at least in my reading experience.
Again, I don’t really know what I’m talking about, so please let me know your thoughts on these two authors, especially if you notice some glaring issues in what I’ve thought about so far. Also, I recently learned that they share a birthday, which made me very happy!!
