Hi All -
We are a couple from Midwest USA who are visiting Japan from July 10th to August 1st. It will be my 2nd time to Japan, and my partner's first. I am including a bit from my first time in Japan, but a lot of new things as well - my first time was over 10 years ago and I was only able to spend a week, so merely scratched the surface compared to this go-around. Our itinerary has been scheduled so that we can hopefully be a part of some celebrations for different festivals going on: Mitama Matsuri in Tokyo, Gion Matsuri in Kyoto, and Tenjin Matsuri in Osaka. I have plotted most of this out on Google maps to form this itinerary that I think should work out, however, I am open to any help/suggestions I can get! One of my main concerns would be having something scheduled on a day it is closed, or having something scheduled on a bad day of the week, too late in the day, etc. and not knowing until we get there. I appreciate any assistance I can get, especially getting as close to our departure date as we are. Here is what I have planned so far (questions at the end):

  • Would I receive luggage same day or next in Tokyo on the first leg? (from airport to hotel)
  • Does Pokemon Center on the way out of Hiroshima on the 23rd make sense, or should I just get this out of the way on the 22nd? If I do it on the 22nd, I assume I should wait until after the museums?
  • Do I have enough time for the stop off in Nagoya on the 26th? Should I make the effort to do this, or is it not worth it in the grand scheme of things?
  • Any recommendations for my open day in Kyoto on the 21st?
  • Do you think I will have enough time for Anraku-ji and Reikan-ji on the 16th? Should I make a great effort to make time for these two?
  • Do you think I should go to Kamigamo-jinja on the 18th?
  • Where else would you recommend that I go in Kamakura on the 30th, or do I have a full plate already with the 3 I have listed?
  • Am I able to TA-Q-BIN luggage to airport too, or do I just need to haul it with me? Good chance of having 2 checked bags each on the way back (4 total).
  • What days would you say are too packed, and what would you remove from them?
  • Any other places I should go to maximize my festival experiences? Should I try to devote more times to these areas also, as opposed to the other items on my itinerary for those days?
  • Any recommendations for doing laundry in Kyoto? It will be the only hotel we're staying at that does not have washedryer. A laundry service or something is preferable, we probably won't want to stick around and do laundry.

first off, i’m sorry in advance for posting so much in here. this place has been so lovely to vent & just tell Keegan’s story. it makes the loss feel a tiny bit less unbearable hearing all your stories as well. although i’d never wish this on anyone

the biggest questions i’m grappling with nearly a week and half later are, how & why?
how did this happen? Keegan was in incredible shape with no known cancers, ailments, etc. (besides some arthritis). hours before he started feeling unwell, he was 100% himself. and i can’t exaggerate that enough. how could in less than 20 hours could he go from just your typical senior dog to having to be put down?
if you don’t want to or haven’t read the report, essentially the neurologist was highly suspicious of a tumor within his brain that ruptured and was the cause of his rapid decline, & passing.
typing that out seems too surreal. he had a tumor in his brain that ruptured? how? even more head scratching (from my perspective of thinking he was indestructible) was he exhibited no symptoms, beyond PU/PD (excess thrust and urination) that we got treated by an internal specialist. from suspected Cushing’s disease, to diabetes insipidus, to chalking it up to “psychogenic reasons” (i.e, behavioral / mental health). we found a solution that worked. they were called DDAVP eyedrops that really gave him and us such a better quality of life these past ~2 years of his life.
but beyond that, he never showed any signs of the tumor. no seizures, no weakness in limbs, no abnormal behaviors, NOTHING! we spent Memorial Day weekend (just mere days before) walking him in parks, taking him on a picnic without an ounce of worry something was wrong.
so how could he got from his happy, curious, lovey self to death so suddenly? i did speak to his neurologist & she explained that the growth likely grew too large or even ruptured and basically led to a rapid decline. but just like that? one second he’s fine and the next it’s ruptured? i know she’s the expert who spent hundreds of thousands of dollar on her education and dedicated her life to animals, even more so with a speciality in neurology, but it just seems so unfair. and maybe because he was (and still is) the center of universes, it’ll always seem unfair. he likely couldn’t survive through an MRI or potential radiation and we had to end his suffering.
and my next question is, why? why did it have to end like this? he was 16 and lived a beautiful, long life, but we weren’t done yet. we had so much planned for the summer and beyond. why did the tumor have to rupture/bleed/spread them? he didn’t deserve that. i always thought about the end of his life as he got older in an anticipatory way, but NEVER in my life would i suspect this is how and why’d he’d go.
i know i should listen to the doctors. i spoke to his neurologist, his primary doc, a different ER doc, and even a few vets on here who have the same conclusion— there’s nothing you could’ve done more. but for some reason, i cannot accept that answer. is it my grief? probably yeah, but i feel like i have to keep chasing the answer, for him. you might think “well you have your answer right?” and logic says yes, but my heart is thinking something else had to have happened. it couldn’t be a brain tumor that was seemingly dormant for nearly 2 years. it just doesn’t add up, right?
idk, i feel like i’m losing it and everyone in my life has to keep giving me reassurance. but this vicious cycle of guilt, regret, & “what ifs” is eating me alive. i am seeking professional help to help navigate this & also am starting a support group later this week. i’m trying my best, but truthfully nothing will be able to satisfy this hole in my heart and soul. with every fiber of my being, i love Keegan so much and always will, until the day i go. i just need him to know we did everything we could for him and i hope he doesn’t feel like we failed him.

A couple of years ago I posted my "Commandments of Media Use". The list originally had 24 commandments, then 38. Now, it's grown to 52, and will continue to grow.
Well, without further ado, here are The 52 Commandments of Media.

5. To always, at every opportunity, choose the real world and not the digital one.

High school Bullies can either be some of the pettiest or some of most horrible people ever, never an in between. They’re either out to get you or want to find something to hate you for. (Boredom or jealousy maybe, I dunno)
In high school I had several bullying issues and I never brought it to the school because I didn’t want my parents involved due to the kind of stuff involved, and because my school never took bullying seriously. I’ve had incidents of bullying that happened temporarily, like there was a guy who used to get physical and punch me when he saw me; then there was a girl who bullied me for dating a certain person.
However, before any of the more serious parts started to play, there was a girl in the school that kickstarted my bullied officially. Lets call her Ruby, we started off as really close friends and then things took a turn for the worst.
She started off with copying my personality, like my whole personality, she started liking everything I liked and hating everything I hated and it was very obvious but I didn’t entirely pay attention to this, it was my friends at the time who told me about how she was acting. Then she started copying my hairstyles, I used to go to hers in the morning before school started, and whatever hairstyle I had she felt the need to have the exact same. After hair she went onto glasses, I wore and still wear circular glasses with golden coloured frames, i’d get called Harry Potter for it. One day she randomly came into school with the same glasses on, however because she didn’t actually need glasses she admitted to people who asked that they were fake. I knew this because she told me the shop she went to and all I can say is they definitely don’t prescribe glasses and they had the fake glasses that she wore. This all went on for quite a bit and it did bother me so I stopped turning up to her house so she couldn’t copy my hair, I stopped telling her things I liked and disliked, and I changed my prescribed glasses(when i got to change them) to ovals instead of circles.
Lets just say she didn’t like this, so she took her treatment towards me to a different level. She started to have random arguments with me, for example, in a drama class we got to choose a play to show and people chose the few scenes in my group, when it got to me I chose a scene that was to my comfort because of my stage fright. When Ruby heard this idea she proposed a new one, it was out of my comfort zone and because she already chose a scene I denied it, she went off. Ruby started swearing at me, yelling at me and i yelled back too and tried to make her understand that I had stage fright (which she knew after past experiences before this event); she wasn’t having it. I eventually walked off and got asked by a few what happened, I explained the incident without any insulting to Ruby and instead was just crying. When they asked her though, she spat insults and exaggerated what happened.
We mostly argued while she also manipulated me to stay through comforting me about issues that started to happen, it emotionally manipulated me to stay friends with her.
At some point she started a fight with someone who I knew, the girl Ruby fought with is a completely different story but the fight was more of a cat fight. Scratching. When they got pulled away from each other that was when I realised I needed to switch things up, so I stopped hanging out with the Ruby girl for good. Even so, this didn’t stop her from continuing the insults, she proceeded to saying she would kill me if she could and in general death threats, for a little bit she took a few of my friends away with her lies and people started to hate me.
Before she left the school though, she decided to take it further. I had SH difficulties and she found out when I was ranting on a chat that had my friends on it because I lacked motivation to see them in person. I forgot she was in this chat but even with this I never said reasons to why I was hurting myself, but she took it up on herself to make the reasons about her(one reasons was her but it was never mentioned). One day i went into school and found out she told my whole year and teachers that I was SH’ing, i got called into the office but lied and got away with it. Even so, the telling still stuck with people in my year because then i started getting emo jokes and SH jokes by the popular groups.
When she left the school to move to a different one, she made rumours in the new school that I bullied her. It got to a point that I had people messaging me from that school that I knew, saying I was horrible and sly, saying that it was my fault she left. Every time someone messaged me about it all I tried explaining the truth, but the rejected it, so I would break down and this eventually resulted into me having panic attacks.
I am now out of high school and in college but she goes to the same college as me, and to this day i’m still trying to move on from the struggles she gave me, the trust issues that she gave me, the trauma she caused me. I am doing well on this and I can now walk past her without wanting to either break down or throw a brick at her head.

The central room is a large, wide open space, with all the wall, the floor and the ceiling the same dull grey owing to the concrete from which they were constructed. Off of this main room were six cells, with traditional metal bars and few amenities one might expect, though they were larger than typical.
This is the basic set for a new reality show, The Prison. Six self proclaimed sluts will be kept here, and put through persistent sexual torments. This one is essentially new in tube, but I have pocket carried it once. Never cut anything. It’s just a bit large for me to use regularly. Jigging is great and crisp, and the dye is fantastic with a bit of yellow where it meets the bolsters and end caps. Factory edge, never cut, no patina.

GEC H20823 - Midnight Camo Micarta $50
This one is new and unused. I just got it but need to sell as I’ve already got another. The micarta on this is a very dark blue/green. This one has the “muskrat clip” blade. Very thin and looks to be a great slicer. I am including a temporary leather pocket sheath along with this one for free. I made it for my other H20 and it’s functional but I just don’t need it. Factory edge, never cut, no patina.
This one will include the wax paper that it shipped on but these H20s didn’t come in a tube so that’s it.
GEC 141122 “s” Cocobolo: $135
This one is an “s” knife, meaning there is a small cosmetic defect. The defect on this one is that the cover on the pile side has a void. It is stable, but I went ahead and put a small drop of super glue in there to keep it from spreading at all. I think it looks interesting with this small bit of character on the back side. Otherwise the knife is unused and like new in tube. Factory edge, never cut, no patina.
This one includes the tube, pin, wax paper wrap, and of course the knife.
GEC 818222 “deluxe” Snakewood: $130
This is an excellent, very slicey and thin knife. You get two slender and long blades in a very pocket friendly package. This one is the “deluxe” snakewood, meaning I paid extra for the covers with nice figuring in the wood.
This one has been carried and used quite a bit but is in excellent condition. Covers, bolster, and shield show extremely minimal pocket wear, as I normally carry it in a slip. The main blade is like new, factory edge and no patina. There’s a single tiny blade rub mark on the main blade. The secondary blade is used quite a bit with patina and has been sharpened. The secondary blade has some moderate blade rub, but that’s normal for this knife and I’ve never seen an 81 that didn’t have some rub since it’s such a thin knife.
This one includes the wax paper, tube, knife, and an extra 81 pin I had laying around.

There are discussions at work about possibly demonstrating or striking. If we did, we would notify the media so that it would be on the news. But, many are concerned about being fired because we do not have a union. Even though the wages are low, it is all that some of these employees have. They have children to feed and bills to pay and cannot go without a job. We know that if we were fired for demonstrating about unfair labor practices that it would be bad publicity for the company, and so there is a possibility that the company would want to handle this quickly, hopefully in our favor. Here is the scenario...we work for a small company, less than 50 employees. We have a high turnover rate due to low pay and poor management. The company at the beginning of the year has taken away benefits (after a very productive year where we just increased our sales by millions of dollars). The company has bragged that its assets are in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We no longer have sick time. Sick time is lumped together with vacation time as PTO and cannot be carried over from year to year anymore. So, there is no cushion of sick time to be accrued in case someone falls ill and needs to be out for some time. We also found out that new young employees without any experience are making more money than seasoned employees that have been working 10+ years. It is a slap in the face to many of the employees when we are asked to train the new people knowing that they make more money than us. Additionally, we also found out that favors have been made by the CEO to people that he knows. One young man was hired because a family member knows the CEO and his college education was paid for by the company. When he graduated college he was promoted to a manager position. Nobody else has their college paid for by the company. People who have worked there for 10 or more years were bypassed in this promotion.

TLDR: I’ve finally had enough of the cheating, lies, manipulation, and abuse and I’m ready to leave for good but my life is in shambles and I’m afraid of him. Seeking advice on how to navigate and recover from this terrible situation I’ve put myself in.
I’ll try to be as brief as I can. It’s a lot…
I was with my child’s daddy for my whole adult life. 14 years. He’s all I ever knew and for the most part, our relationship was great. There was no cheating or abuse. He was a good dad and my best friend. The last couple years were a nonstop barrage of curveballs and hardships that took a big toll on both of us and our relationship. He made some big mistakes that hurt us a lot and I eventually decided we needed to separate.
When I left, he turned into a man I didn’t recognize. It was and still is traumatizing. I thought we’d be best friends, or at least good coparents. I expected him to be angry and fight me initially but I had no idea he was capable of what he’s done. He hates me. False accusations of domestic abuse and infidelity, accusations of mental illness and unfit parenting. Vicious smear campaign and endless frivolous litigation from his team of very expensive men’s rights lawyers trying to take our child from me.
It was the worst thing that had ever happened and I didn’t understand. I was a stay at home mom and we weren’t married so when I left, we agreed to “nest” in our home while it sold, taking turns staying with our daughter to ease her into the transition. But when I left the first night, he changed the locks on our home, filed a police report of lies and a protective order not allowing me near our home or daughter, and hired a lawyer to petition for full custody. He cleared out my bank account. I was penniless with nothing but an overnight bag and my car. Nothing ever stuck because it was always based on lies. He would drop the accusations before we ever saw a judge. But then would start the whole thing over again.
One after another, I was able to prove my innocence against his lies. Even has a full psych eval with third party input that took a week with one of the top doctors in the state to put to rest his claims of being delusional and mentally unstable. The doctor said that I was depressed and had ptsd from what he’d done but that I was otherwise mentally sound. He also noted that in all of his career, he’d never had someone try so hard to manipulate him into a diagnosis and that my ex’s reaction when he caught him in a lie was troubling. He recommended he have a psych eval as well but I didn’t have the 7k to pay for it and I just kept hoping that he would tucker himself out and stop wanting to hurt me. It wasn’t like him and I attributed everything to him feeling helpless and afraid himself, and betrayed and broken hearted that I left. He really is a good man. I hoped if I stayed the course and didn’t fight back other than defending myself, he would want to move forward and focus on rebuilding his life and giving our sweet baby the best childhood possible. I only ever asked for 50/50 and no child support, despite being her primary caretaker while he worked (at his request) for her entire life until then. I wanted nothing but to be left alone.
It was only a little over a year in and I certainly was not ready or healed enough to be dating. But things were getting better. He’d run out of things to accuse me of. I got a job and a cute apartment for my girl and me and it was finally steady. I thought I’d dip my toe back in and try casually dating. I shouldn’t have. I was lonely and still struggled on the days I didn’t have my daughter.
It didn’t take long before I met him. Oh my gosh. An angel. It was whirlwind. I’d never met anyone like him and I didn’t know love could be so good. The most charming, romantic, handsome, perfect man in the world. And he wanted me!?! It was crazy. I was smitten. It was passionate and intimate and exciting every single day. He’d hand write me the most beautiful love letters. My apartment looked like someone died with the amount of flowers he sent. He was always planning amazing adventures for us and doting on me. It made it all make sense. It was all worth it because it lead me to him.
I’m an idiot… And introduced him to my daughter four months in. I’d never been so sure about anything. I mean, we’d already mapped out our future together. This was for keeps. Might as well lean in! And my god, they hit it off instantly. She adored him. She lit up when he came around. He’d bring a bouquet of flowers for each of us. They’d text each other memes and jokes. Ugh my heart. My girl doesn’t like men.. She’s sassy and the way she latched onto him was proof that this was all meant to be.
He has a daughter about the same age! They loved each other, too. My girl always wanted a sibling and it couldn’t be more perfect. My life was perfect. He was the sweetest daddy. He always planned an adventure the weekends we had our girls. He was so thankful I let him be a part of our lives and told me he took it very seriously. He would be a man she could look up to. He would show her stoicism and strength and restore what she had lost from the trauma of what her father did.
He said he was going to marry me. He’d text me house listings and tell me stories of how we’d spend our evenings reading to each other on the porch and watching our babies play.
It was only 6 months in that something changed. He would snap at me for things I didn’t understand. He would get wasted and yell at me for not really loving him. Accuse me of cheating or using him or wanting to make him my “little b**** boy.” It was horrible. I would pour myself into trying to explain away whatever he was on about but it never worked. Always ended in me fleeing and him blocking me for a day or two. Then he would come back full of remorse and regret and say he realized he was looking at it all wrong. He just loved me so much. He would be so sweet again.
I didn’t understand. I’d never experienced anything like this. The highs or the lows. And I loved him so much. I loved the future we were building.
Not long after, during one of his rages, he told me he’d been cheating on me. Not to confess, but to hurt me. He hates when I cry and it makes him so cruel. I was crying about him being mean and mad at me for some drunken thing he made up and he let me have it. Said the meanest things. Ripped me to pieces. And then told me he was sleeping with a beautiful young nurse who was much more fun than me.
I could go on and on. But the gist is that I kept taking him back. And it kept getting worse. Before long, I was completely isolated from my friends and spend every second I had trying to make him happy and get back to the yum we had before.
He’s now admitted to having 6 physical affairs and doesn’t know how many women he “talked to.” I know of at least 3 others that he slept with.
Each time I would find out, he would rage at me and then block me and go be with other women for a few days. Which was bad enough but then I found out about the smear campaign. He’d been spreading vicious lies about me. And most of them mirrored the same accusations my child’s father said. That was intentional. He told everyone in his life that I was mentally ill, abusive, violent, controlling. That I stalked him and hit him. He told people I tried to stab him one night.
I found this out because he called my child father and told him all of these things. He claims he was drunk and doesn’t remember it, which could actually be true but I don’t know. My kids dad recorded the phone call and used it to file a motion to take her from me.
He kept promising he would come clean and fix everything he did. Kept saying he needed a couple days to figure out how and to make sure he did me justice. But it kept not happening. It’s been a year now and every time I break down and demand he finally clears my name, he managed to twist the whole conversation into me just wanting revenge for the past and I’m a vengeful abuser that doesn’t love him. And then leaves and blocks me again.
A few months ago, after yet another breakup, I was done. I left for good. But I’m still an idiot and when he came back, he said he had an epiphany and he couldn’t stand the shame and pain of suddenly realizing what he’d done to me. He was ready to be honest and do whatever he could to fix what he broke.
We sat down and he admitted in detail to all the women he physically cheated with. Admitted the lies he told about me. Explained his reasons for everything, which were basically that he’s a scared little boy that doesn’t think I could ever love him and he needed the comfort and validation of others and couldn’t see what it did to me. Partially compartmentalization and partially thinking I wouldn’t care anyway because I didn’t actually care about him and was probably doing all the same things behind his back.
It was an exhausting and emotionally taxing conversation but it was so good to me. He cried with remorse and held me and validated all the things he’s worked so hard to make me feel bad for. I believed him. I had hope again but I was too mentally drained to continue and he was too so we decided to “love bubble” for a couple days and then sit down and actually take steps to fix what he did to me.
When it came, he went right back to the same narrative and behavior as before. That I wanted to punish him and rub his nose in his mistakes and ruin his life. I was livid. I left and took his iPad. Found out he was still cheating with multiple women, that the “truth” he told me was bull, that he was still smearing me and nobody even knew we were seeing each other. And that one of the affairs was with a 19 year old girl he met on a hunting trip while he was still married. He wrote her love letters and poems all day and then snuck her off and got her drunk and slept with her in the backseat of his truck. He hasn’t seen her since but they send nudes and declare each other their soulmates and talk about how they’ll end up together someday. We’re in the process of planning a trip together in the next month.
Gross.
She was 19 years old and he was 41 and married with a child when he went after her. And they’ve continued on for 3 years. One of the love letters he sent her was mine. I wrote it to him. He stole my words and used them to seduce this girl. I found out recently he used that same letter on several of the women he cheated with. It makes me sick.
I think I stayed so long because I felt so helpless in my life. I just wanted to give my daughter a happy family and be a normal person. And I thought I’d found that so when everything was proving otherwise, I was too scared and weak to admit it. I gaslit myself because I was scared what it meant for me to have to go against two men that want to hurt me. I am still too scared.
I still don’t understand. I’m not perfect but I’m good to the men I love. I spoil them. I fulfill all of their fantasies. I’m patient and generous and give endless grace and always look for the good under a mistake. I’m the best hype girl. I love nothing more than lifting up the people I love and showing them how powerful and worthy they are. I hate letting people down.
I have only ever once turned down sex with him. and it was after he’d just yelled at me and made me cry because I found out he rawdogged a tinder woman in our bed and let me sleep in the dirty sheets. He got so angry and accused me of thinking he’s a predator and he ripped the sheets off the bed and threw them at me so hard that when I blocked it, it made my hand hit me in the face and gave me a black eye. Then he chased me out of the house while I was scurrying to get dressed, telling me to Jill myself and nobody would ever love me, and punched the door next to my face as I was trying to open it to leave. Then he called the cops and filed a report saying I hit him. I guess he’s done that several times after I left.
Anyway… sheesh. I’m scatterbrained. So after he’d taken back his promise to clear my name, I told him I would have to do it myself. I started recording his rages after I found out he was telling people I abused him. I also recorded the conversations of him admitting he was lying about me. Also many of the conversations about the women were via text. Including the ones about the teenager, his friend/coworker’s wife, a married woman that worked for him who had a mental breakdown from the affair, etc, etc, etc.
I said that he had the opportunity to clear my name however he wanted to without exposing himself. That I didn’t want to harm his life, just fix mine. He could create a whole new narrative of lies for all I cared as long as it cleared me from the vile things he made up about me.
He broke his hand in the wall next to my head by punching it so hard. I left. He called the police and filed a report that I broke in and hit him. And then hired a lawyer and filed a PO on the basis of domestic violence, stalking, and blackmail. All the while trying to bait me into coming over saying he loved me and wanted to fix it so he could have me arrested.
I didn’t even hire a lawyer because it seemed so absurd and I had so much proof he was lying. If recorded it. I had screenshots of him denying it and telling me to come see him and he wanted to marry me. Also because I was poor. He has gotten me fired from my job a couple weeks prior.
His lawyer was good. She shot down my evidence in the heating and used the police reports as proof… which seems like a weird thing to do because they were his testimony. But the judge said she almost never denies a PO because at the very least, those people should stay away from each other. It was granted based on stalking because I’d made a Google drive file of some recordings and screenshots and sent them to several family members and friends begging them to help me. They ignored me. He told them I was insane and not to open it.
My child’s father used that to take her away again.
I’ve been fighting tooth and nail but I’m drowning. Nobody cares. I’m so worn down and have panic attacks almost every day.
Unsurprisingly, he came back recently. So sorry and full of remorse and shame. She’s it all so much clearer now and can’t live with himself for what he did. Can’t live without me. Tugs my heartstrings talking about reading on the porch of our beautiful family home and reminiscing about the good loving times.
Means promises. Same lies. The thing is, I do believe he means it. I think he means it every time. It’s just that the shame and fear of actually following through and publicly facing what he did makes him retreat and go back to the delusional narrative that I abused him and he didn’t do any of the things he did.
I believe he really means it but I no longer believe he’s capable or will mean it in the times he should. He will not change. He wants to be a good man. Something is broken in him. He stopped drinking bourbon but still drinks beer every night. He abuses steroids and vyvanse and they make him irritable and angry and unpredictable. He has so much self loathing and shame. He hates himself. He’s built like a Greek god, the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen, but he has body dysmorphia and starves himself and binges and runs several miles every single day and also goes to the gym for two hours. He has to smoke those super strong joints dipped in something and take half a bottle of zzzquil to sleep at night. On top of the 10+ beers, steroids, and vyvanse. He never remembers anything and I think he really thinks I’m making a lot of it up but refuses to listen to the recordings.
This time, even though I didn’t believe him, I was so broken and felt so helpless that I let him come back hoping he would at least drop the PO and help me get my daughter home.
He finally dropped the PO after weeks of being sketchy about it. I think he wanted to use it as leverage to protect himself in case I exposed him. I’d go to jail.
But once again, I told him either he needs to clear my name or I would and he’s latched on tot he same old victim narrative that I’m trying to get revenge and destroy him for the past. Has blocked me again. I have a feeling he’s out filing police reports and trying to get another PO. But it won’t work this time because I refused to be physically near him and haven’t told anyone anything yet.
I have to defend myself from his lies to get my daughter back. He’s not going to come clean. But after seeing how rotten the court system is, I am terrified he’s going to either find a way to put me in prison with his lies or kill me if he feels trapped. I really believe if he felt it was hopeless and he was exposed, he would him me and himself.
This was so long. I’m sorry. I’m wordy. It’s a lot. But if anyone read this and can give me some advice, I would be so thankful. I can’t see straight and have no idea what I’m doing. I haven’t left my house in days because I panic and get dizzy trying to go outside. I need help. And I need to never date ever again if I manage to climb out of this mess. I’m not good at it.

Throwaway account long time lurker first time poster!
So I (20f) am turning 21 at the end of the month (June). I didn’t decide what I wanted to do for my birthday because I knew the following situation would happen, so I told my mum that I would tell her once I decided and to not sort anything.
Today, my mum texted me saying she’s organised the party for me and she started inviting a bunch of people - without asking me who I wanted to come. These people include my step-dad’s family and his friends, who I am not close to at all. Haven’t actually seen some of them since my mum and step-dads wedding 4 years ago. They aren’t my friends or family, they are his. Only invited because of him.
Pretty much, my step-dad is always picky about parties at our house and how many people come to our house, even though my mum and him split the costs of everything 50/50. He somehow feels like he owns more of it than her and can dictate what goes. Idk he’s get misogynistic and hasn’t cooked a day in his life. But I digress! Basically he feels that he should dictate who comes and goes and how many can come and if people he likes aren’t there then the party won’t happen. I haven’t had a birthday party since I was 18 because of this. But I’m 21 so it’s a “big one”.
I told my mum “I don’t want xyz” there and listed a few people off the list of step-dad’s family and friends (some of them I do like). She asked me “why,” I said “because if there is a limit, I’d rather have my friends there than distant family members and people who aren’t my friends.”
She told me that I could just do something with my friends another day and to invite them to “keep everyone happy” but I told her my friends are busy and have kept my birthday weekend open specifically in case I did do something. We all have jobs/uni/etc. and haven’t met up since new years as a group so my birthday is a way for us to meet (first birthday of the year for us). she said i can’t invite them because of how many she has already invited.
I said I’d rather cancel the party she organised and just go out with my friends than have one at home filled with randoms just to make my stepdad happy. She called me selfish because i didn’t want to celebrate with family and told me to grow up. My step-dad overheard and said “it’s not your house so you don’t get a say in it” and i just said “i’m sorry” and walked off to my room to avoid another argument with him.
I may be TA for not sucking it up and trying to reorganise with friends. She’s trying to keep the peace between me and him. throwing me a party whilst keeping him happy.
AITA for saying that? WITBTA if I cancelled it?

This sub helped me out a lot so thought I'd share my experience in Japan. Hope I can bring a bit of a different perspective because unlike most of the people that seem to post here, we are definitively not early risers and rarely left the hotel before 1pm every day. Still had a great time and crowds were only an issue in a few places.
We're an early 30s Asian-American couple traveling from Germany, so we're coming at this from a bit of an in-between of Western and Eastern perspective. I have been to Japan when I was 15 with family, but remember basically nothing. It was my wife's first time. We had an absolutely wonderful time and both thought it was the best vacation we've had in years.
The trip was pretty last minute (for my standards at least). I started planning the trip from scratch (no flights, hotels or anything booked) in early April and our trip was May 18-30. We spent 5 days in Tokyo including DisneySea, 2 nights in Hakone, 3 nights in Kyoto including day trip to Nara, and 1 night in Osaka. We flew in to Tokyo Narita and flew out of Osaka Itami. We decided to fly from Osaka to Tokyo instead of bullet train back to Tokyo so we didn't have to buy JR rail pass and worry about luggage.
Tokyo

• We stayed in Ginza, which was significantly cheaper than similar hotels in Shibuya or Shinjuku. Maybe it was because I was planning such last minute, but I enjoyed the area just fine. Lots of restaurants and close to Tokyo Station which was convenient.
• Shout out to Star Club in Shinjuku. Had a wonderful Saturday night there drinking til 4am, chatting with other patrons and the super friendly bartender. Mix of locals and tourists.
• T's Tantan Ramen in Tokyo Station was one of my favorite ramen places of the trip (tied with the Michelin star one from Kyoto, but minus the wait). The bowl had a good variety of vegetable ingredients (which didn't seem that common in Japan, most ramen was just noodles and meat) which I really appreciated. Small queue but didn't wait more than 10m.
• The only restaurant reservation we made all trip was at Bon. Vegetarian multi-coursed meal. I would recommend, it was very nice, though sometimes a tad under salted for my taste. My wife loved it though. You get your own little private room to eat, even for two people, which was unexpected and very lovely.
• Asakusa has a tourist center with air conditioning, bathrooms, and an 8th floor view. Nice place for a rest
• Akihabara did nothing for us, as we're not really into anime or games. Pretty skippable if you are similar.
• I thought Ameyoko Shopping District was a disappointment. More like a flea market, it was similar to many Taiwan street/night markets that we've been to before. We also had probably our worst meal in Japan here, at a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant where the food was extremely mediocre. I would have skipped this place altogether and go to Ueno Park or something instead.
• Character Street in Tokyo Station was very fun to explore, we did a lot of shopping there. Nice place to visit before taking the Shinkansen.
• We enjoyed Takeshita Street in Harajuku. As mentioned before we went at around 8pm and it wasn't too crowded.
• When planning I had thought about skipping Shibuya Scramble but I'm really glad I didn't. Something about witnessing the sheer number of people bustling about was so epic and grand. Reminded me of Saturday midnight at EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) when the atmosphere is electric and everyone is moving from one main stage to another.
• Golden Gai was interesting to look at, but way too claustrophobic for us. Very small alleys and very small bars.
• I enjoyed Tsukiji Market a lot. This is one of the places I would agree with people here and advise you get there early. Take advantage of jet lag and get here before 7am, and it is literally a buffet of delicious fresh foods. (not much choice for vegetarians though sadly). By 8am it was starting to get REALLY crowded. I prefer picking out my sashimi this way as opposed to a restaurant tbh, you can look at many options and pick whatever looks freshest. First time eating Wagyu here, had it on a stick. Delicious. Not the cheapest, but I figured if I ate it at a restaurant I'd also be paying for table service and atmosphere. I'm not big on the "restaurant experience", I'd rather just eat my food and be on my way.
• I thought Hamarikyu Gardens was wonderful. I love city parks where there is green, peaceful nature in the fore ground, contrasted by enormous skyscrapers towering in the background. Hamarikyu Gardens fits that perfectly. Got there right when they opened after visiting Tsukiji Market and it was a perfect way to walk off the big hearty breakfast. ~1 hour at a moderate pace should do it.
• Ginza Corridor after work was very interesting to see around 5-7pm or so. Simply packed to the brim with business folks wearing suits and having a good time after their work day

DisneySea

• We checked the weather and specifically went on a rainy weekday. I highly recommend, it was not crowded at all. Almost all the rides are indoors anyway and most of the queueing is either inside or covered. We got to the park at 2pm and basically rode everything we wanted before the park closed at 9pm with time to spare.
• Popular rides still had 40m-1hour wait, but we used premier pass for Center of the Earth and Soaring. Most we ever waited was 20m for Finding Nemo (similar to Star Tours, all in Japanese but very fun). I checked the app the next day when it was sunny and saw the wait times for each attraction were 3-4x longer.
• Another thing I think the rain helped with was that the premier passes did not sell out. We were able to buy them as late as 6pm to Journey to the Center of the Earth. (Fun ride, but I can't imagine waiting 1.5 hours for it)
• I think Soaring is pretty meh, I'd probably skip it next time. I've been to the one in CA ages ago and remember thinking it was just okay too, but we had extra time so decided to try it here.
• Sinbad was excellent, the ride that most exceeded expectations. It's basically "It's A Small World" but way better animatronics and story telling.
• Indiana Jones is worse than in the one in California (less exciting, no fire effects), but the line was nonexistent so we went on it twice.
• It stopped raining at night too so we were able to catch the Believe show with no issues. It's a good show but it is very long, about 40m. Much longer than I thought. After show is over, there's only about ~1 hour before the park closes, so good time to catch a last ride at one of the popular attractions while the locals are heading home.
• I love how every restaurant has a display in front that shows you what the food will look like. They were all extremely accurate and not at all misleading!
• (not a tip but a rant, is it really necessary to have 10 thousand parking spots when the vast majority of people are going to arrive on Tokyo's world-class public transit system?)

Hakone

• Open Air Museum was really nice on a pleasant day. It's mostly outdoors. We spent a leisurely two hours there, but you could probably do it in one hour at a brisk pace.
• We left our Ryokan at 1pm to do the Hakone Loop and still completed it comfortably with plenty of time spent on shopping.
• Speaking of shopping, Cat Goods near Gora station was a wonderful little store full of cat stuff!! Our shopping list in Japan was basically to buy as much cat-themed home goods at possible, and we went crazy here. They also do tax-free! Recommend this place if cat-themed goods sounds interesting to you, the shop people were super nice!
• We stayed 2 nights 3 days in a Ryokan. I purchased Hakone free pass for 3 days, which was maybe not worth it. The first and last day we only took transport to leave Hakone to Odawara station, so I think it would have been cheaper to use the IC card to pay for it ad-hoc instead of an entire extra "free pass" day. Might be worth looking in to.
• If you have the Freepass, don't tag IC card at the stations. Show your Freepass to the attendant instead. It can't be a screenshot, they need to see the day
• Google Maps was great everywhere except Hakone. For some reason it was especially unreliable here, it led us stray a few times.
• Busses are faster for getting around, but have very little space for luggage and seemed packed with locals. If time is not an issue, I'd ride the Hakonetozan Line with your luggage, much more comfortable and more space.
• If you can spare the money, getting a private onsen was really really nice. Plus you can drink while you chill!

Kyoto

• Had an excellent time at Gion Bar M16, favorite bar experience we went to in Japan. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, and was himself a very interesting person that has lived a full life and travelled all over the world. Very interesting to talk to. He was also very knowledgeable about whiskey and drank whiskey with us while letting us try some different whiskeys and giving recs about what to buy and bring home. Also gave us lots of delicious and interesting snacks while we got drunk together. We also met a friend of the owner there who is a foreigner that has been living in Japan for 8 years, and gave us some recs.
• One of his recs was Eikan-do Temple as a less-crowded temple option. Good rec! We really enjoyed this place a lot. Probably our favorite temple out of the 5 or so we visited. They have this really extensive "shoes-off" wooden walkway on support beams. It felt like exploring a big tree house, because the wooden part went up the cliff as well. The insides areas were also very extravagant and intricate. Not so many tourists, even Sunday middle of the day. I really recommend as well!
• Another of his recs was Men-ya Inoichi (has a Michelin star). You line up when the shop opens to get a ticket, and then come back at a designated time, though there's still a wait before you actually eat. We probably waited ~50m in total, 20m at the beginning and 30m when we returned. Even then, thought it wasn't worth the time. Don't get me wrong it was very good, but IMO not significantly better than other ramen places.
• Kodai-ji Temple was a miss for us, especially after Eikan-do. Thought it wasn't that interesting, would have skipped.
• Kiyomizu-dera was indeed very nice, but very very crowded. Another place I would actually either going early or late for.
• The shopping street in front of Kiyomizu-dera was super fun to browse, but also very crowded.
• Had lunch at this tucked away Soba restaurant in an alley that was very nice, one of my favorite meals in Japan. Owner was friendly and spoke in Japanese to a translator that replayed his words in English. Noodles nice and chewy. Good experience, felt very personal!
• We visited Yasaka-jinja Shrine and Maruyama Park both in the evening and during the day, and much much prefer it when it's dark. Less crowded and there are cute little lamps that are lit up and make the whole place look magical.

Nara

• Arrived in Nara station at ~2:30pm and left at 7pm. Felt like we saw plenty.
• Nothing new to add, the bowing deer are fun to visit and feed, though they can be quite aggressive. We went on Saturday and there was large crowds of children in their school uniforms, but we didn't really mind it too much.
• Isuien Garden and Yoshikien Garden are both very nice gardens, good place to get away from crowds for some peace and quiet.

Osaka

• Didn't spend much time in Osaka, but Dontonburi was fun to walk through and shop.
• Ate at a very nice Okonomiyaki restaurant. It was our first time eating it so can't compare it to anywhere else, but the staff was super friendly and bubbly and we had an excellent time there. They also have a little dice game you can play to "gamble" on getting a drink for free, or "lose" and get the drink double sized and also pay 2x the price
• Shout out to our hotel, Hotel Royal Classic Osaka. We were only there for one night, but my god this hotel was so convenient. Directly connected to the subway station via an elevator, and also has a 24-hour FamilyMart you can enter from the lobby. It was also only 3m walking away from a airport limousine bus, which made going to the airport super easy. If we ever visit Osaka for a longer stay, we would definitely book this hotel again.

Random Tips

• The flipside to getting to a popular tourist spot early, is to get there very late. We visited Takeshita Street in Harajuku at 8pm at night and it was very comfortably not crowded. Also noticed other tourists spots tended to clear up near closing time, like Senso-Ji in Asakusa.
• As everyone says, toilets are generally as clean as you can reasonably expect, everywhere from parks to gardens to subway stations. Nastiest toilet I saw was in Don Quixote at 1am, trash everywhere.
• 7/11 seemed to have English featured more prominently on their products labels compared to other convenience store chains. All the convenience store food options seemed very similar, so I started to favor 7/11 for the language convenience. (FamilyMart had English in super tiny letters on the side of the label lol)
• In one of those small counter seating type restaurants, I saw someone take the wrong backpack when they left (didn't know it was the wrong backpack at the time ). A few minutes later, the person who's backpack was taken got up to leave, and was very confused trying to find his backpack. He spent a long 10m talking to the restaurants folks (in Japanese), before the original guy came back super apologetic. Anyway keep an eye on your stuff. I know Japan is a safe country, but accidents do happen.
• One trick we had was to tie a little charm or hair tie to the handle of our umbrella, making it less likely someone would accidentally take yours from the sea of indistinguishable white plastic umbrellas.
• Yes there's a lot of walking. My feet tend to get damp if I'm out all day and foot powder works wonders, highly recommend it. Picked up this trick while attending music festivals.
• No issues with tax refunds and customs. We packed some of our stuff in carry-on in case they inspected, but nothing happened.
• Used Ubigi esim and it was perfect. I bought 10gb and used 7gb over our trip, doing most of the navigation and planning. My wife bought 1gb and used about 700mb with just random internet surfing. I will 100% be using this service for travel to other countries in the future, not just Japan, it was so damn convenient.

Transportation

• Definitely leave extra time for navigating subway stations, those things are like enormous underground malls.
• Shinkansen app didn't work for our iphone country (Germany), but I was able to use the mobile web browser pretty easily. Great for free, last-minute rescheduling of Shinkansen tickets when we inevitably take too long shopping.
• Apple Wallet Suica / IC card worked like a charm (with AMEX and Mastercard). One thing though it that it can sometimes take up to 1 minute for the money to load onto the account, so don't wait until the very last minute and accidentally hold up the bus.
• Taxis are green when someone is in it and red when they are free (at least in Tokyo?). Confused the hell out of drunk me at 4am in the morning. I think in Kyoto it is orange instead when someone is in them, and the orange/red difference is quite hard to spot from far away.
• On that note, I had sorta assumed the metro runs all night in Tokyo, but this is definitely not the case. They stop service from about midnight to 5am, so keep an eye on the last train if you do intend to catch it. Otherwise you'll have to take a more-expensive-than-usual taxi (captive markets), but not a big deal. We thought it was typically priced in comparison to most other US and European cities.
• We had a choice between a 1 hour or 3 hour layover in Tokyo NRT and we chose 3 hour because we weren't sure how long it would take to transfer from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 in NRT. In actuality it took less than 30m, so the 1 hour would have probably been fine. We didn't mind the extra buffer time to relax though.- Absolutely enormous plane flying between Osaka and Tokyo. Like literally it was the size of a transatlantic plane, with 10 seats in each row, for a sub 1 hour flight, completely full with business travelers (judging by their suits and brief cases).

Food

• We aren't big foodies; we like Japanese food a lot but food isn't really a top priority for us while traveling. Some of our favorite meals were from 7/11 (kelp & bonito flavoured tofu stick, sukiyaki beef over rice, fish flavored cheese snacks, grilled squid. Yum!)
• Most meals were good, if a bit straightforward. At least the places we ate at, main courses seemed to be carb heavy, with a side of meat, and little else. I know we could have gotten side dishes, but the portion sizes were too big for us to order more.
• Very few vegetables in general, and if there were some they were pickled. (Guess it makes sense for an island country). I usually bring fiber pills with me when traveling and do recommend it for Japan too.
• Wife is vegetarian, I am not. Japan is not particularly vegetarian friendly if you don't like tofu, which fortunately my wife does. Most places did have at least one tofu option, so it worked out okay for us. She doesn't follow it super strictly though. A few times she would order a dish and I would just pick out the meat from her bowl.
• Portion sizes were a LOT bigger than I thought they would be. I think maybe we are just small eaters. US and European portions are a little bit bigger I suppose, but Japanese portion sizes were too big even for us. Especially ramen! It was crazy to see folks wolf down an giant bowl of ramen, then ask for an extra helping of noodles with their remaining soup, and finish that up too.
• We only made one reservation beforehand and waited in line over 10m once. Worked out fine for us.
• Restaurants tend to do last call an hour or more before closing, so don't get there too late. Happened to us twice before we learned our lesson, got to a restaurant about one hour before the listed closing hours and they turned us away.
• The Japanese palette seems to be much more subtle than typical western palette, and notably less salty. We often find Asian food at US/German restaurants too salty or saucy. Even then, some of the food we ate was bordering on the minimum range of my taste buds to almost be bland. Just my opinion, most of it was good but sometimes the lack of salt was pretty noticeable to me. My wife tends to like things less salty than me though and she thoroughly enjoyed all of those meals no problem. Soup noodle places like ramen and udon are excluded from this, those were usually perfectly salted to my taste.
• Walking while eating seemed fine. I saw at least 3 different instances of Japanese people doing it.
• Apparently there are no laws banning public drinking in Japan. You can drink alcohol on the street no problem, but I rarely saw people doing that (unlike here in Germany where people seem to take full advantage of it and also leave trash everywhere). I did see a few groups of Japanese people doing it at night in Tokyo, usually near bus stops, and the next morning saw the empty bottles and cans. Guess there are litterers everywhere. We had a beer in the park at night, weren't loud about it and took our trash with us. That was very pleasant.

Hotels

• Hotels always have liquid or foam hand soap! I hate the bar soaps that most Western hotels provide in the room, so I usually bring my own liquid hand soap. Was totally not necessary for this trip.
• Lots of people on this sub have mentioned check-in time being very precise, as in you rarely can check in before the designated time. We didn't experience this first hand. But on the flip side, we did find out that check out time is very precise too! They start calling your room about 15-20m after your check out time. This is in contrast to most American/European hotels that we've stayed at, which are in my experience very lax about their check out times. We can often get away with leaving the room at 1-2 hours after the stated check out time (we're late risers). Not so in Japan.
• Agree with other people's advice that booking a hotel close to a big subway station is probably the most important factor. It sucks having to walk 10m to the station every single day, and it is amazing when it is close. Also being close to a 24/7 convenience store was also very nice for late night munchies.

Language

• We only knew sumimasen, konichiwa, and arigato gozaimasu and got alone just fine (lots of hand gestures!). We do know a bit of Mandarin Chinese though so that was helpful with reading signs.Some places knew Mandarin better than English and would switch to that if they thought we could speak it. Chinese tourism seems like big business (we saw a ton of Chinese tourists everywhere) so I guess it makes sense for people in tourism industry to cater towards that. Announcements (like over train stations) always went Japanese, English, often Chinese, then sometimes Korean.

Luggage Forwarding * I thought it was kind of expensive, but it does make things easier.- ○ Tokyo -> Hakone: 2310 yen- ○ Hakone to Kyoto: 2630 yen- ○ Kyoto -> Osaka: 1940 yen. * I feel like for that price you could take a taxi to and from your hotels to the train station and it wouldn't be much more work. There was plenty of space on the Shinkansen to put smaller checked luggage overhead. Then you don't have to prepack things the day before. * For the first leg Tokyo -> Hakone, we shipped two checked luggage which was about ~32 euros. After that we only shipped one, not two. * The middle ground we found was to designate one suitcase as souvenirs and dirty laundry and forwarded it every time. We would then travel with two carry-ons and one checked luggage. YMMV depending on your number of luggage and ease of carrying them.

Elemental is coming out as a Limited release in 2023 on Friday, April 28, 2023. There are 17 other movies coming out on the same date, including Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret and Big George Foreman.

What is 'Elemental' about?
When oilman Paul Sturges (Josh Lucas) takes his family to Bahia Negra, the crown jewel of Baja and the site of Paul’s best-performing rig, the vibrant Mexican coastal town he once knew has mysteriously crumbled. In the decrepit ghost town, the last inhabitants tell Paul the offshore platform has awoken ‘El Demonio.’ Scared to be left alone, the family follows Paul out to the platform and just after they get on, the man and boat that risked bringing them is ferociously attacked by a massive black shark. This shark is unlike any other creature; a shark of legend, known as Elemental. It has laid claim to the local waters aggressively protecting mother nature against human threats. It kills everything and repeatedly charges the oil rig itself, weakening it and threatening to destroy it. Paul and his family are stranded with the few men who have survived and now discover explosive charges have been set on the legs of the platform. Under constant attack by the giant monster and with the time literally ticking away, Paul must find a way to somehow get his family back to shore alive.

This is the second movie I've created that focuses around a Ben 10 Cinematic Universe. I'm going over the plot and important details throughout the movie.(See previous post for more information)
Movie: Ben 10: -10 (working title)
This movie focuses around the -10 team in the original show with changes
The movie starts with a montage of Bens aliens fighting villains we've seen throughout the OG show such as Animo, Charmcaster, the bug dude Clancy, and the mind control dude Sublimino. Ben and the trio are about halfway through the summer and ben has grown as a hero thanks to Max and Gwen teaching him. It then cuts from the montage of Ben saying "This is the best summer ever"! to out of the montage saying "This is the worst summer ever". Ben is shown at Bancroft academy touring for Gwen and Bens having the worse time. That is until he sees the circus freaks, and at this point everything is the same as Ghostfreak out with Ben defeating the Circus freaks and Ghostfreak escaping the Omnitrix and retreating from the sun. Ghostfreak then recruits the Circus freaks like in the episode but Ghostfreak is smart, he knows what Bens capable of. Ghostfreak knows that his allies and partner from the Anur system is tracing for his DNA signature and with Ghostfreak knowing Bens villains, decides to play this safe than sorry and be patient. As this is happening Ben runs back to the Rustbucket panicking, this hasn't happened before one of his aliens escaped what if the others do that? Ben explains what happened to Max and Gwen with Max telling him to calm down we have to find Ghostfreak and stop him. Ben calms down and as Max is starting the Rustbucket Gwen ask Ben if the watch is ok since Ghostfreak could have messed with it to escape. Ben then cycles through all his aliens up to the point where Ghostfreak should be and when he gets to there the Omnitrix starts glowing and cycling through the aliens and then showing new ones. " All right new aliens!" Ben states "Ghostfreak wont know what hit him".
it then cuts to Charmcaster, Dr.Animo, and Rojo in an warehouse arguing and discussing which one contacted them. The circus freaks walk in and explain to them about Ben and how he has beaten all of them. Then Ghostfreak emerges from the shadows and explains to them that his name is Zs'Skayr (I will be referring to him as Ghostfreak) and lays out a plan for them to get rid of Ben for good. "Why should we listen to you?" Dr.Animo ask, just then Ghostfreak possesses him and then stops, Dr.Animo is terrified afterward and knows what Ghostfreak has planned "I have more friends coming" he states as he laughs and the camera goes toward the outside night sky.
Back in the Rustbucket Max makes a stop and Cooper comes in and Max explains that hes dropping Cooper off at home just like in the OG series. Ben and Gwen are annoyed because of Ghostfreak, Max assures them that everything will be ok and Cooper even explains to them that he knows about the plumbers and the Omnitrix. about half an hour later Ben is messing with the Omnitrix and Gwen is on her laptop with Cooper trying to strike up a conversation with the two but failing. Just then the Rv is attacked by charmcaster out of nowhere. Ben jumps out of the Rustbucket and goes for Fourarms but ends up with a new alien, Cannonbolt. Ben is a little put off by Cannonbolt as it doesnt seem like he can do much with him ending up falling over forward. Charmcaster starts laughing and as she is laughing gwen kicks her over and runs to Bens side. "You didnt think that would be it did you" Charmcaster states as behind her the Werewolf jumps over her and he knocks Max down who is outside trying to help. The werewolf turns his attention to Ben and Gwen as Gwen got Ben on his feet. Gwen is yelling at Ben to do something with both being frusturated, Ben eventually turns into a ball and Gwen gets an idea and starts pushing him, with ben being able to pick up momentum and move by himself. He knocks the werewolf down before going after Charmcaster who puts up more of a fight against Ben. Ben beats Charmcaster with Gwen picking up her spell book. Ben times out and runs toward the Rustbucketg but the werewolf gets back up and lunges at Ben scratching his Omnitrix. Cooper shows off his powers for the first time on the Rustbucket causeing it to splash oil all over the werewolf causing him to panic. He then picks up Charmcaster and runs away as Charmcaster screams about her book and about how Ghostfreak and the others will be pissed. Max puts it together that this may be bigger since Ghostfreak is working with others. He saw what cooper did and Cooper explains his powers to him and the others. Max knows there will be other attacks so he goes to the nearest plumbers base, Mt. Rushmore. During the ride ben slowly becomes a werewolf with Cooper doing some tinkering to make a small blaster out of spare parts. Meanwhile Ghostfreak is working on a device about the size of a human but it keeps on short-circuiting. Dr.Viktor and the Mummy appear and Viktor ask if he can help. Ghostfreak says that after the device is finished they only have to worry about a small hole in the plan (referring to Ben). As the group arrives at Mt. Rushmore during the night Ben steps out and is now fully transformed into benwolf. As they are heading to the plumbers entrance Ben sniffs something which turns out to be the mummy. Ben fights the mummy while the others run inside with Gwen stopping and running back as Ben is fighting the mummy and its pretty even but the mummy wraps itself around Benwolf but Ben times out. Since he's smaller than Benwolf he's lose from the bandages and tries to run away but the mummy puts a wrap around the Omnitrix scanning the Mummy DNA. Just as that happens Gwen comes and cast a spell from the new spell book on the mummy knocking it down, Ben and Gwen then escape.
Ben and Gwen then walk into the base with Max and Cooper working on the robot suits. Max gives them a little speech on how they need to prepare for Ghostfreak and the others. Ben turns into the mummy and ask how he can help with him helping move out of reach parts. Another short montage is shown with max suiting up in his grey plumbers outfit with gear, Gwen testing out some more spells, cooper suiting up in a mech. And Ben turning into Eyeguy. An alert comes on and the surveillance camera comes on with the 3 circus freaks, Charmcaster, Rojo,Dr.Animo with his signature mutated frog, The mummy, the werewolf, and Dr. Viktor. Ghostfreak then phases through the walls and gives his speech on how he's going to plunge the earth into darkness so that his kind can rule the earth. The gang tells him basically to screw off. Ghostfreak also explains that earth has loads of Anurite, an material from his home planet that can power his machine, and one of the biggest deposits of it is right under Mt. Rushmore. The negative ten then rush in to fight with the heroes and the Anur aliens heading toward what seems to be stairs leading to a elevator going down. Ben and the gang fight the rest with no one getting the upper hand. Gwen then tricks them like in the OG series and they start fighting each other and as their going away also Ben times out. They go after the Anur aliens in an area that's a bunker filled with old spaceships. When they arrive they have the device to block out the sun and a drill for the anurite The mummy and werewolf go after the gang beside Ben as Ghostfreak wants the to finish him himself and the get the Omnitrix. Ben runs around the bunker with Ghostfreak trying to capture him. Dr. Viktor eventually yells at Ghostfreak to get on the ship and him and Dr. Viktor blast off with a shot of Ben sneaking on board too. As he gets closer to the machine to destroy it Dr. Viktor grabs Bens hand and watch, causing ben to transform into Frankenstrike. Since the Omnitrix gives the genetic peak of what alien he turns into, Ben easily gets rid of Dr. Viktor before Ghostfreak notices him, a short fight ensues but Ben times out yet again. As Ghostfreak gives Ben a final monolouge. The Omnitrix times in and ben transforms into grey matter and escapes on the ship again. Ben as grey matter returns to the device after leading Ghostfreak away and starts dismantling the device and sets the ship to self destruct in 10 minutes. He timesout and as Ghostfreak is out of his mind at this point with anger. Ben tells him that the only option for both of them to survive is to turn the ship back around. Ghostfreak then chases ben around yet again but this time the ship is falling apart and Ghostfreak is full of rage and anger. Ghostfreak corners Ben and tries to possess him but as hes fighting for control the Omnitrix times back in pushing Ghostfreak out. Just then as the ships self-destructs and Ben turns into Cannonbolt then plumets back toward earth Leaving Ghostfreak in space. The movie ends with Cooper being dropped off and one of his parents asked how the ride back was, with him saying it was alright.

1. I know this might be very different from the original -10 special but I really wanted to show and set up certain earth characters such as Charmcaster so Gwen can get her magic. Also show Bens lower tiered Villains. Final part I wanted to include was Ghostfreak escapeing the Omnitrix.
2. One of my Goals is to include every alien Ben has accessed in the original shows at least once.
3. My Final goal is to have 10 movies surrounding Ben from the OG series to Omniverse. The next movie would be a 2 parts and after that will be the alien force saga
4. I also wanted to include Cooper as well to introduce the concept of plumbers kids
