Many Bible verses have been used by supposed Christians saying that homosexuality is forbidden. But then, many folks here in this subreddit say that those verses don't refer to homosexuality at all, at least not to loving homosexuality.
But this poses a dilemma. The Bible doesn't explicitly forbid homosexuality. But does it ever or has it ever explicitly said being homosexual and (loving) gay relationships are OK?
I don't understand how the bible verses can be used to support our case. There doesn't seem to be any explicit support that being gay is OK, at least not in the bible.
Just because the Bible doesn't say A is bad, it doesn't mean that A is good or OK or acceptable.

Hello, I'm having quite a struggle with my mental health, I feel like there's something heavy above my head and I can't really tell it to anyone. Apologies if this post will be too long or boring but I just need to get this out of myself atleast somehow. So here I go.
I (26M) and my girlfriend (23F) have been dating for a couple years now. Our relationship started on a very positive, pleasant and fulfilling notes, to me personally she felt and still feels like winning a jackpot. Have you ever thought how many times in your life you've wished or encountered a thought, to have some specific quality, attribute, or basically anything that you'd think to yourself and go "that's what I want my partner to be like"? And it doesn't have to go into very important or deep qualities, it can be also some little details that you ever wanted.
Well, she is that person to me. Or at least it seemed like until some time ago. The thing is, we moved in together relatively early on in a relationship, and at the time we had incredible struggles with work, adapting to all changes, depression, etc. Fights were unavoidable, sometimes lasting for hours or days, but each time we managed to somehow self reflect, come to some conclusions and solutions how to deal with the problem. One of these problems on the table happened to be the topic of sex. I perceive myself as a person with higher sex drive and even tho she is as well, the exhaustion affected her much more than me. I was communicating with her about this problem, taking into consideration her issues and energy and everything as well, but to me it didn't really seem like it changed much. Or, if the change in our relationship happened, it would usually not last for too long and soon we would be back on the old tracks. This was happening similarly like that with other issues I brought in the table. And who knows, maybe she feels the same way, I don't know.
Overtime I started feeling like the pressure is building up and affecting me very negatively. I started enjoying spending time with her less and less, I was anxious around her, waiting when and where will another problem emerge, what did I do wrong again etc. This made me feel progressively more and more feeling like this relationship will not last, even tho my initial thoughts were that there is no way I am ever dating anyone else (still was present 1 year in relationship or so). I started disrespecting her more, thinking if she can raise her voice why can't I, if she can be bothered by this completely random bs and blame it on me because of her mood swings, why can't I.
Whene these problems and our bed issues connected, I snapped and fucked up. First I started watching porn and jerking off by myself, whether she's home or not. Privately of course as that would result in a fight. But I feel like I'm either a completely egoistic fucked up human being, or something just broke me. I decided to download snapchat and try to get someone to send me nudes.
I probably don't have to go far for yall to understand this started to be a "habit" of mine. I'd spend hours and hours on the app trying to find someone with specific requests, looking for ppl online, trying and failing. Then deleting the app, deleting the account, erasing everything, and in a few weeks rinse and repeat. I don't want to know in how many chats I have ended up in, even tho I must say I never bought anything, never paid for anything and most of the accounts were just bots (not an excuse, I know).
Right now I am sitting and processing a way out of this situation. My head and heart are confused, I feel like even with this post all I'm trying to do is to excuse my shitty and filthy behavior. I'm stuck in a loop of doing it, feeling regretful and stupid, knowing such person as she is does not ever deserve something like that, then thinking that one way or another we will break up because I'm so emotionally and mentally drained, and the circle closes. I don't know if I still love her due to our issues, I feel like they really affected me on a deep level, but did they really? Is my mind not just cloudy from all the negativity that was present in the recent times?
To anyone making it all the way here, thank you. I appreciate any kind words or words of advice, even tho I don't really feel like I deserve any of that.
And I know my description of her in this post is very mundane. She is not like that. She is a very cheerful, kind hearted person with good intentions, she is extremely self reflective and aware of her own behavior. She didn't deserve any of this.

Our relationship has been awful the last year. I was mean, he was mean. We have been through a lot with our family. We lost someone very close to us, who raise my husband & then we also suffered a miscarriage & he lost his dream job.
April 2nd he said he wanted to separate and I wouldn’t give him time to breathe. I missed him. He was so hateful to me. The things he said I’ve never heard him say before. I started talking to someone, after he told me he was as well all whole living in the same house still. He said he had sex with her, and I did the same thing. I thought I liked this guy, but he used me. I was in a dark place and I still feel like I’m there. Apparently he is talking to someone and I don’t know what to believe because he says at first he never slept with anyone & now he has. I have loved this man since we were 18. We are both 31 now. Never cheated on each other. Kids and I left 2 days ago for the 2 weeks and I keep bugging him. Driving him crazy. He says he needs time without the sadness. He says I hurt him with the guy. But I would of never ever done that if I wasn’t hurting so bad after what he told me. My kids miss their home. My kids miss debit family and I miss my partner, and my best friend. I feel like we can get through this and I need to give him space but how can I give him space if he is a big part of life?

2023.05.30 00:33 RenegadeBuilder Rainbird Sprinkler Install - Type of head, spacing, number per zone.

I'm currently renovating my fescue and turning it into buffalo grass. Water rates are continuing to climb and I have over an acre. While I am tilling up the yard, I figure now is perfect time to run my own sprinkler system. I do plumbing as one of many trades so I feel confident in my ability, but I definitely don't know jack about sprinkler systems.
I've done a fair amount of research and have decided on Rainbird. Both for the price and availability. I will use blue-lok tubing and fittings. Currently debating on running 1" or 3/4" header lines but that's for a different discussion I imagine. For the sprinklers I am leaning towards some 42SA or 5000 series (or 52SA+?) . From what I find, 5000 series is a little more money and potentially better seal set? Would love to hear first hand experiences here.
I have good pressure, around 85-90PSI and it's currently not being regulated down. I seem to be getting 8 to 10 GPM depending on which faucet I use. I am going to feed the sprinklers (for now) using hydrants and a 4 zone valve kit.
A couple things I am afraid of; spacing my heads too close and wasting time/money/water but also spacing them too far away. Also concerned about the dreaded 'dry zone' right around the sprinklers themselves. I know it's 2023 but the 5000 or 42SA are both rather old. They claim to have the rain curtain technology on both models but I'd like to hear from anyone with experience.
My soil is mostly heavy/clay like so I will probably go for heads that do not dump a lot of water at once and instead slightly less water to have more time to soak in. However if that compromises the performance of dry zones OR severely lessens the spacing between them allowed then I'll just go with higher GPM tips and call it a day. According to their 42SA chart, at 65PSI I can go for 35' spacing with the 2.5GPM tip. It seems the common design idea is to make sure each sprinkler stream touches the next head possibly for that dry zone issue otherwise?
I assume I need to keep the GPM low enough so I can run 4+ sprinklers at once? Technically if I were doing 10GPM that should be (4) 2.5GPM tips but I assume it's much more complicated. Any pro's have a rule of thumb in this department? Would like to know how far to exceed the GPM rating / quantity of sprinklers on one zone.

The majority of investors who took on mortgages in 2022 to pay for new Toronto condos have been losing money every month, a shift that could discourage future building in what is already one of North America’s tightest rental markets.
For the first time, more than half of investors who closed on a new condo unit with a mortgage in the Greater Toronto Area last year were unable to cover their costs when they started renting it out, according to a report Monday from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and research firm Urbanation Inc. That’s because the monthly expenses, including mortgage payments, condo fees, and taxes, outstripped rents for most, forcing those investors to pay the balance out-of-pocket each month, the report found.
It’s a shift that could have far ranging implications in Canada’s largest city, which for years has relied on condo units to serve the booming demand for rental housing. With demand only expected to grow — Canada’s immigration rate is the fastest in the developed world — many mom-and-pop investors were willing to put down deposits on pre-sale units years ago, before the first shovel hit the ground. The thinking was, rents would inevitably outstrip costs by the time they had to pay the bulk of the price. But for those who closed on purchases last year, the economics have changed.
Even though rents in Canada rose by a record amount last year, interest rates rose even faster as the Bank of Canada increased its benchmark to 4.5% from 0.25% to combat surging inflation. That left 52% of leveraged investors closing on new Toronto rental condos stuck with negative monthly cash flow, according to the report.
On average, such investors were facing losses of C$223 ($164) per month, with 11% of the cohort losing C$1,000 or more monthly, the report shows. This dynamic could get worse in years to come as investors who bought pre-sale units before the market’s peak last year are forced to close at today’s higher interest rates, the report’s authors, CIBC Deputy Chief Economist Benjamin Tal and Urbanation President Shaun Hildebrand, warn.
How long investors hold on will depend on the outlook for interest rates, but also condo prices, Tal and Hildebrand argue. As long as the asset’s value is appreciating, investors may be willing to sustain monthly losses, at least for a while. But longer term, such strain may dampen investor enthusiasm to buy into future condo projects. That could potentially limit new builds and put further pressure on Toronto’s rental market, unless construction of traditional apartment buildings picks up the slack.
“If investors aren’t buying, developers won’t be building,” Hildebrand and Tal wrote. “The bigger picture issue is that investors may no longer be able or willing to buy condo presales to the same extent as in the past.”

It's been another year since the 2022 capsule was posted, and for the 9th time we'll be unpacking all sorts of info that was stored away in this annual tradition. Not only is this a great way to look back on what all changed over the last year, but the time capsule also serves as the most complete recap for the current state of Mindcrack and is the best way to see the entire group's recent overall activity with info not found anywhere else.
We'll be opening the ninth edition of the mindcrack time capsule from 2022. You can also find these frozen moments in time for every year going back to 2014 here: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021. Now that all that's out of the way, let's officially open the 2022 time capsule!
Today is the 29th of May, 2022.

General Information

A current concise definition of Mindcrack is "A group of friends and content creators founded in 2010 who come together for gaming content and regular charity events primarily based on Twitch."
Mindcrack currently has 24 official members and around 18 VIPs/Friends active in the group, though there is no official list on who all is a Friend and the linked image is probably missing at least Darkosto and Sapphyrei. Mindcrackers and Friends essentially differ only in name.
The latest member to join officially was OMGChad on the 31st of October, 2014. The latest member to leave was BTC (BlameTheController) on the 12th of November, 2015. The latest Friend to join is difficult to determine, as most Friends have gradually become involved in the group over multiple years.

Charity

There have been nine full Mindcrack Marathons to date and a multitude of other charity efforts, both from individuals and the full group. In total Mindcrack has raised an incredible $1,950,563.23 for others through their group fundraising streams since 2013, of which $1,817,090.78 has been for the charity Extra Life (totals missing $0-5K). The latest full marathon was on November 8-14 and ran for 117 hours across a full week for the first time, raising a record $348,565.69 for Extra Life plus Twitch and merch revenue.
A complete list of all totals raised during Mindcrack group fundraising streams can be found here, the source message is pinned in the Mindcrack Discord and regularly updated.
The most recent fundraising event was held less than a month ago for Arbor Day and was Mindcrack's first time supporting Gone West, the UHC raised £6,161 for the company, helping plant over 1,125 trees for the planet. It's been mentioned that Gone West will return in future fundraising events. Mindcrack also raised $15,651.94 for Extra Life last month during the first spring marathon since 2019 which ran for 12 hours. It was followed up by Extra life United's return to Florida just over a month ago, Mindcrack had multiple attendees who also spent several days at Disney together where some of them unfortunately got COVID-19. ELU 2022 featured the return of the Minecraft Building Competition, and Pakratt led team Mindcrack to a 1st place finish against 6 other teams which included Aureylian.
The Mindcrack Patreon has now been supporting Mindcrack's charity efforts for over 2 years, allowing the marathon to grow in size and production quality. A new $10 tier was added in fall which gives monthly behind the scenes updates on charity events. Currently the Patreon has 413 Patrons pledging $3,626 per month, with 88 Patrons on the $25 tier, 1 on the $500 tier, and the rest split between $5 and $10.
Kurt's Far Lands or Bust journey has continued on as always, having just started Season 10 with Season 9 ending a couple months ago after close to a million blocks traveled in a year. He is currently at 5,765,878 blocks traveled towards the Far Lands as of March 28th, 2022, sitting at 45.9% of the way there. The latest episode was #829 on May 28th, 2022. The series has raised $472,939.92 for 7 different charities since 2011, with $4,470.00 raised during Season 9 for Rise Above The Disorder, and $4,600.00 raised for Equality Texas Foundation during the recent FLoB-a-Thon.
MCGamer and the Zeldathon Team have raised $3,064,623 for 11 different charities during their 32 charity events. The latest Zeldathon was Zeldathon Ascent which raised $176,843.00 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from December 26th to January 1st, and they just finished the smaller event Piece of Heart raising $20,120 for St. Jude at MomoCon from May 26th-28th. The next Zeldathon will be Zeldathon Daybreak, scheduled to start on August 2nd raising money for Direct Relief.
There's also a multitude of individual charity efforts in Mindcrack; several people in the group hold streams supporting their individual Extra Life campaigns, and there's frequently one-off streams for various charities, such as a few days ago where Justin, McLaffyTaffy, and MyLawyerFriend were in a D&D stream supporting St. Jude. A complete list wouldn't be feasible to collect, but their efforts are appreciated. In total everyone in the group have raised over $5.5 million for charity over the years.

Regular Series

The Mindcrack Podcast is hosted by Sevadus, Guude, and recently Soccer releasing two episodes every week, consisting of a public episode every Monday and a Patron-exclusive episode every Thursday. Additionally, Patrons at the $25 tier can watch the recordings live and discuss in the live chat. The latest public episode was S2E99 which released on May 23rd, 2022, and the latest premium episode was episode 99 released on May 26th, 2022. The 10 year anniversary of the podcast is just a few weeks away.
Cone, Kurt, and Zeekay host the podcast Ran When Parked which releases new episodes every other week, the latest episode was episode 78.
As of tonight Coestar's StreamADay is sitting at Day 3,099, and Phedran's daily streaming streak is on Day 1,702. Coe still holds the second longest daily streaming streak on Twitch.
There have been over 500 collabs within Mindcrack in the last year, but with Mhykol's Discord bot not posting VODs it's hard to track them and get specific numbers. In the last year Monday Group Games, Space Cops, and the Dads have gone on indefinite hiatus, so there's currently fewer weekly series than normal.
The following is a list of the more stable weekly collab series within Mindcrack currently:
  • Armo, Breon, Coestar, and Kingster play PUBG for Sunday Gunday every week, and PUBG also makes frequent appearances throughout the week with other squad combinations.
  • Pakratt's Vintage Story Tuesday with Honney and DireDwarf recently ended after 38 weeks, it's likely TFC Tuesdays in MC 1.18 will replace it in the near future.
  • Coestar and Guude's Two Bananas for Sale continues strong, playing games together or with Patrons every Friday night. Their most recent games include We Were Here Forever, UHC, Traitors in Salem, and Codenames. Their joint Patreon currently raises $625 per month thanks to 36 Patrons.
  • Arkas, Guude, Nebris, and Pakratt have recently returned after a long hiatus to play Divine Journey 2 every other Saturday and just passed their 7-year anniversary playing together.
  • Arkas and Cone just wrapped up another season of Cities Skylines, this one being a challenge to build the best city in 36 hours.

Servers

Season 9 of the Minecraft vanilla server is currently ongoing; Amethyst, Guude, his daughter Apple, Honney, Mookake, Pakratt, Phedran, and a multitude of $25 tier Patrons have been on in the last month. The current season started on December 11th, 2021, and the server is running on 1.18.2 with some extra plug-ins. For the first time the majority of Mindcrack is using shaders on the server in a client modpack with other QoL mods. This season has had approximately 765 hours streamed by Mindcrack so far. The most recent event on the server was the Spring Festival held on May 1st and 7th; Amethyst, Guude, his daughter Apple, Honney, Pakratt, and about 15 Patrons attended one of the two.
Mhykol hosts a server map at https://mindcrackmap.com, the map uses BlueMap which was used as a secondary map on the previous season.
The most recent full modded server was Crackpack Season 4, Mindcrack's 7th modded season which was active from November 2019 until January 2020. A more restricted Crackpack 3 server was active for 3 hours every week from May to October last year as part of Monday Group Games.
The Dadcraft Minecraft server reset at the start of December for 1.18, Arkas and Jaaski joined Chiblee, Coestar, Justin, and Pause with others and the server was active for about a month.
Adlington, Arkas, Cone, Dire, Doc, Kurt, Phedran, and VintageBeef all have fan servers for Twitch subs and/or Patrons.

Ultra Hardcore (UHC)

There have been 33+28 (Twenty-seven donation UHCs and S4b) seasons of Mindcrack UHC. There were 8 Mindcrack UHCs in 2021, the most since 2012 with 9 UHCs.
Breon, Coestar, ConeDodger, and Kingster are the winners of the latest UHC season, Season 33, which was streamed on the 26th of February, 2022.
Mookake and SethBling are the winners of the latest donation UHC, the 27th of its kind, which was streamed on the 30th of April, 2022 for Gone West.
PauseUnpause is the most deadly player in regular UHCs with 36 kills, and Coestar is the most deadly player in donation UHCs with 38 kills, having recently taken the lead from Arkas. Nebris and VintageBeef are tied for the most wins in regular UHCs with 9, and Guude and Kurt are tied for the most wins in charity UHCs with 7. (Latest UHC Stats by Guardax)
Seasons can be categorized as follows: 21 teams of four, 15 teams of two, 13 teams of three, 8 free-for-all, 2 PvE, 1 teams of five, 1 teams of ten.
UHCs have been becoming more frequent recently with renewed interest from the group and there's plans for even more in the future, starting with the first ever collaboration between VintageCraft and Mindcrack Patrons with a UHC next month on June 11th.

There are currently about 28 people part of Mindcrack that stream on Twitch regularly, and about 10 that upload to YouTube regularly.
In the last year there were approximately 30,813 hours streamed on Twitch by about 41 Members and Friends, with 2,483 combined hours streamed during last month. During that year there were 792 unique categories streamed, 4,294,294 total views, and 3,863,022 hours watched on Twitch which is equal to 441 years.
The most streamed games in order were Minecraft, PUBG, Escape from Tarkov, RimWorld, and Elden Ring. Minecraft had the most streamers with 37, most hours streamed with 6,278, and most hours watched with 713,580; the category Just Chatting was also among the most streamed and had the most views with 718,610.
Here's a chart showing monthly hours streamed by Mindcrack members from August 2015 to April 2022; here's a similar chart with Friends added from May 2020 to April 2022.
According to the Mindcrack website, the total YouTube subscribers across all official Mindcrackers is 9,042,471(+24,900 in the last year), the total number of videos is 71,787(+1,586), and the total views is 2,418,417,594(+36,497,698). The website hasn't been updated in years so the accuracy of those numbers isn't guaranteed.
The total member count across public Discord servers in Mindcrack is 25,526 which includes significant overlap(13,595 for just Mindcrack Members). In total there's been approximately 9,394,181 messages sent across all 33 servers including from bots, but I don't currently have Doc's or Beef's numbers which would push that number well over 10 million. Coe's server remains heavily active and is poised to be the first to reach 2 million messages in about 4 months.
SethBling is the most subscribed on YouTube with 2.02 million subscribers as well as the most followed on Twitter with 380k followers. Sevadus has the most Twitch followers with 412k followers. Darkosto has the largest Discord server with 7,947 members, and among the Mindcrack Members OMGchad has the largest with 2,047 members.

Subreddit

mindcrack has approximately 45,100 subscribers. Discord servers and Twitch chats are the primary places the active Mindcrack community's interactions are based, so the subreddit sees minimal activity.
The Moderator Team of mindcrack consists of 10 humans and 2 robots: GuudeBoulderfist, pakratt0013, stinusmeret, Zisteau, pajam, Lost-Chord, Compieuter, ArmoAram, stevetheclimber, emilythecool, MindcrackTwitchBot, and CrackBot / AutoModerator.
This is the subreddit today using old Reddit (Picture Version), and this is the same page using the redesign (Picture Version).

Miscellaneous

Docm77 and VintageBeef are both also members of HermitCraft, and Arkas, Chiblee, Coestar, Jaaski, Justin, and Pause are all members of Dadcraft.
SethBling currently holds 2nd place for the Super Mario World 0 Exit speedrun with a time of 41.350 seconds. He also holds records for several speedrun categories he created, including SMAS+SMW All Five Games with ACE which he'll be running in this year's SGDQ in July, he currently holds a record of exactly 9 minutes for it.
On the IRL side of things several people in Mindcrack have gone through changes in life; in the last year, Guude and Jess got engaged, Cone and Paint also got engaged and announced they have a baby coming, and DireDwarf got married. There's also been multiple kittens and other pets, at least half a dozen job changes, and several moves, including Soccer living with Guude until earlier this month.
There have been no updates in the last year on Mindcrack's progress towards becoming a non-profit that's publicly been in the works for years.

Who knows what kinds of changes we'll see as another year passes and we open the 10th time capsule in 12 months.
The 2023 time capsule will be coming soon, there's a lot of info to collect so I'll be asking for help in the Discord, and anyone in the community will be welcome to add their own messages and info in the capsule. 2023.05.30 00:30 Signal_Flatworm_4450 My life is falling apart and I'm struggling to see a happy end

Using a different account to main on the off chance this gets some traction. Lets dive in. So I don't really know where to start as so much has happened and I'm only now really feeling all of the affects of it. So at the start of this year my family had some tragic news about a family member unaliving themselves and its crushed us all, I've still not quite grasped it but I know how it all happened and theres so many unanswered questions that we will never know. I also had a partner at the time who split up with me for no reason after being together for over 6 months (this has happened rather recently) and being friends for even longer. Shes just full 180d and now just treats me like I had never meant a thing to her not even romantically just even as a person, like telling me a couple weeks after splitting with me that she is already chatting to some new guy and planned on doing the deed with him that night I had saw her. (We have the same friendship circle) she is just a completely different girl then when we were together and I believe I still have a lot of feelings for her and I just do love her still and I hate that I do when she can so easily disregard any form of respect there was for me in the whole many years she has known me. Then not even a week later I believe, I got drunk out with a male friend of mine( I am female and gay to which he is very aware of). Any who I end up staying at his the night and he had done some drugs to which I had not (never have for personal reasons). I then wake up at like 4:30am to his dick in my hand and him trying to touch me all while he thought I was asleep. Now he is a very good friend of mine or at least was and my world is crumbling apart. I also struggle massively with depression and its all hit me like a bus. I just cannot see the light of day and I cant tell many people all of this cause I'm scared (I have told sisters and a few friends all of this). I really just needed this off my chest.

I'm sick to death of posters on Reddit saying they "felt some type of way" or "she felt some type of way". It's a feeling, describe the feeling. Instead of, "he left me at the altar and I felt some type of way about it", how about "he left me at the altar and I was fucking angry!" Or dismayed, disappointed, crushed, heartbroken, ANYTHING. I cannot fathom why they do this. Is it because:
-They are so far from being in touch with emotions that they don't have the capability of describing them;
-They lack the intelligence or grammar to find a descriptive term;
-Saying "Some type of way" is an attempt to be aloof, but failing miserably?
There may be some other reason I haven't considered. I can say, unequivocally, that it makes one sound ridiculous, stupid, and lacking self-awareness.
Do I rage alone at this?

2023.05.30 00:26 gregor098 Beginner tips for new satisfactory players (repost added flair)

Here are some of my beginner satisfactory tips from my 200 hours ish of gameplay.
First off, you can move faster than normal by sliding then jumping as you hit the ground this is easier to see when you are on a conveyor belt which also can speed you up.
Secondly, keep things neat. Later on in your playthrough having a factory that you can walk around quickly will really help you because you will have so many different machines to automate things.
Third, Coal power is something you should rush to. Coal power lets you truly automate your factory and is the first goal I have when I make a new save.
Lastly, use the internet. There are so many great builds and guides online that you can use to save time which if you aren't a great builder (like me) will help you a lot.
This was a few tips for beginners who are starting satisfactory for the first time. Just remember this guide is meant to help you get started and should not be treated like gospel. As you progress in the game so does you playstyle and feel free to do whatever you want in this game. After all it is a sandbox.

•"Complex commodity production and wage labour's are integral to capitalism and were used in the USSR's mode of production, therefore they weren't socialist."
•"The USSR was actually just as evil and imperialistic as like Nazi Germany or any Western capitalist country, and was hyper authoritarian. Therefore, it was actually fascist or something".
•"Marxist-Leninism and Bolshevism are right-wing deviations from the rest of leftism".
•"What the USSR had was just capitalism with bureaucrats."
I have my informed objections and counterpoints, but I don't think I'm well versed enough yet to mentally come up with detailed reasons why each of these and their prevailing crux may be wrong or fallacious. How much truth is there to any of these arguments, if any. And what are debunkings of any of these points.

Hi y’all, I’m a longtime MT resident that is being pushed out of Bozeman because (shocker!) I can no longer afford to live here! I know the situation is not much cheerier in Missoula - I lived there in the 90s, and I know so many of you have/are currently experiencing this really heartbreaking reality too.
I just accepted a job offer that starts in August in Missoula, closer to my family, so I’m about to start looking for housing (and I am very, very scared - I know that all year round is pretty much the worst time for housing for those of us in the low income bracket, but I know August in particular is going to be a nightmare.) I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on property management companies to avoid, or just any advice on general in navigating the housing crisis in Missoula right now - is it better to go through rental sites, Craigslist, fb marketplace, or just a combination of it all? Again, I know it’s all bad right now - but any specific nearby areas/neighborhoods where I should just avoid all together? Would it be better to look for a shorter-term lease and search for a more permanent situation during the winter?

I know this might not be the best place to complain about having to come to Rose.. but please read and share your pieces of advice/experiences...
i don't want to sound like a douchebag but i am a prestige whore and this is where i'll be attending college this fall.. i had so many dreams and it all just seems crashing down at this point and that's why this..
i'll be studying mechanical engineering.. and I know rose is a good school for job placements and all but i was more interested in the entrepreneurial aspect of engineering...
and again i know i am the worst for saying this .. but how will i be able to achieve something at rose that someone at stanford does (pls don't come after me for this.. I just don't know how to put this.. it's a real big case of FOMO) ... it doesn't make sense to me either but i still feel completely hopeless..
i am already thinking about transferring from rose .. i wanted not just a college good in academics but also one where people from completely different backgrounds come together and share ideas and all.. Rose is completely different in that regard.. it's an all-engineering school with a 70:30 (kinda) male to female ratio (I am girl btw) which is not the biggest concern but it's still something that makes it entirely different to what I wanted (and I know there's some posts around here recently talking about how we aren't entitled to some college's admission acceptance but it still hurts to see plans you've working on for years fail)
i don't know what to at this point.. just feeling completely hopeless
