I am fenced on two different priority I should be focusing on. Should I focus on leveling up as soon as possible or farming for strong gears build as higher priority? I feel that I cannot level up quickly if I don't have strong gears, but it is a waste to hunt for gears when the power level are not at end game level.
Which activity should I focus on? So far, I'm putting helltide farming on top priority followed by farming the renowns. Should I prioritize power leveling via dungeons instead? Please keep in mind that I only play about 4 hours at the evenings. I could have two helltide tours and then some activities between. I'm curious what y'all thoughts are. Share away!

Anything more than a brief short-covering rally will require a bigger corn problem. Buyers are not incentivized to extend ownership with cheap corn supplies on the horizon. The most profitable strategies have been selling wheat futures and volatility. USA weather could be the catalyst, but the dry pattern will need to persist until the damage can no longer be ignored. At this point, a real wheat story requires a real USA corn problem.

I made a mod pack to play with some friends and have found a problem. Some mobs are leaving behind this cloud of particles that never go away! The cloud gives damage to players and keeps mobs inside it alive, it broke my mob farm and now there is a bunch of it left where i was going to build :(

The Commonwealth diplomatic procession looked wholly out of place seated in the spartan crew compartment of the Fleet dropship. The interior held none of the grace of the cruise liner, nor the subtle warmth of the diplomatic ship. Status lights shone red, the thickly-padded harnesses pressed tight to each body. Empty hard points beckoned to hold equipment or weapons in their grasp. Medkits and backup breathing masks dotted the bulkheads behind the seats. Conduit, bundles of wiring, and junction boxes lay exposed between the struts overhead, evidence of the realities of military procurement: there is no room for luxury.
No, the procession wasn’t dropping into a combat zone, but they were still entering enemy territory.
Four dropships made for the Ascension, replacing the shuttles of the Good Omen with the improved defenses of the military transports. The Fleet was taking no chance after the suicidal freighter incident, adding eight of the carrier’s drones as additional escorts.
The sphere of warships surrounding the diplomatic vessels had spread into a shallow cone, the open end facing the planet. Their sensors and crisscrossing fields of fire would neutralize any threat to the dropships.
Still, everyone in the dropship appeared on edge.
Celescia held tight to the armrests. Yanna and Ruki sat on either side. Directly across from them, the mask-wearing Mystery Man’s blank slate faced in her direction. The sight of the formally-dressed procession crammed into the padded seats would’ve been laughable had the stakes not been so dire.
With each breath, each klick closer to the Ascension, Celescia waited for some malady to afflict her body. Logic told her no harm would come, yet she couldn’t shake her fear that she was beholden to the will of the Provenance and their Project Fidelity.
A hand touched Celescia’s forearm. She peeked around the thick shoulder padding at Ruki. She smiled back, mouth wide beneath the mask obstructing her upper face. Yanna grasped Celescia’s hand on the other side, returning her version of a smile.
Across the way, Dash’s head tilted. “We’ll be by your side the entire time. We’ll keep you safe. I promise,” he said over the troupe’s comm.
“I know,” Celescia answered.
Still, she was afraid.

The dropship docked on the executive level, settling into the berth like a pollinating insect landing on a blooming flower. The airlock opened and a pair of marines in dress uniform departed first. Councilor Traveska went next, other diplomats trailing. Regent Anncellis and the top leadership of Acculturation followed.
Then came the time for Sisters Celescia.
She cleared the hatch and formed a single line with Yanna and Ruki on one side, and the Mystery Man on the other. The airlock was wide, sleek but utilitarian, and most noticeably, pristine. Not a single scuff lined the deck, the integrated lockers, or the thresholds of the hatches.
Three station personnel in sharp dress uniforms greeted the procession as they stepped into the corridor. Their expressions were neutral, even bordering on pleasant, but there was an unmistakable contempt in their eyes.
Celescia recognized the one in the center as the station administrator, a member of a rival house of the Royalty lineage. The appointment had been used to garner favor for the Imperatrix’s agenda, a common tactic of the noble class.
Celescia didn’t necessarily hate the administrator for taking the position but loathed the side he had chosen. She imagined all the Provenance leadership passing through the same corridor, escorted by their staff and servants. The secrets that had been discussed, and schemes concocted to secure their power at the expense of the people. She shuddered at the thought and pressed on despite the repulsion she felt for boarding the station as if her very presence there ran a risk of catching a disease of elitism.
Dash must’ve picked up on her aversion, for he pulled his elbow close to his side, talking her hand with it. “It’s not the place, it’s the people.”
He was right, of course.
Ministry of Security officials lead the procession deeper into the station. She was filled with contempt at the sight of them, her spirit forever burdened with the painful memory of her murdered team.
The corridor connected to a gathering hall. Sculpted glass lighting hung from the ceiling, while wall displays cycled through scenic vids of Preemona. Exhibits ringed the space, holding cages with live creatures, interactive exhibits, and collections of ancient artifacts. A small but enthusiastic flock of reporters waited at the outlet. Security officers and bots formed a line in front of the group, preventing them from approaching the diplomats. That didn’t stop the reporters from lobbing questions at the delegation as they passed, receiving only polite waves or platitudes in response.
Celescia was at first shocked the Provenance let reporters aboard the station. But she reasoned it was a calculated move, the Provenance trying to paint themselves as gracious hosts of the oppressive regime who’d come to assert their dominance.
Halfway across the hall waited their hosts. Ambassador Pertrovich and her staff stood at the forefront. Dressed in elegant gowns and suits and standing with grace, Celescia could sense their dismay in their thin smiles. For cycles, they’d worked on the frontlines to convince the Provenance of the benefit of the charter, and now they had to face their failure in front of the leadership of the Commonwealth.
Behind them stood the Preservationist-aligned members of the Provenance, their attention now focused on the newcomers. Most wore neutral expressions, though a few glared death at the Acculturation party.
Celescia scanned their ranks. She recognized most of them; ministers, regents, business leaders, protopriests, and other members of the noble class. She met some of their stares, registering the disapproval and even outright disgust oozing out of them at the sight of the Mystery Man by her side. She spotted Minister Tryssnym, the longtime power player of the Provenance, holding a peculiar glint in his eyes. He seemed eager to observe an imminent spectacle.
“They don’t look happy to see you,” Dash said.
“Of course not. We called them spineless devotees of a corrupt despot,” Yanna said.
“Yeah, that will do it.”
Celescia stood tall, flooded with a cascade of revolving emotions. Pity at their ignorance, repugnance at their bigotry, anger at their ungratefulness to the Commonwealth and the advantages it gifted her people.
The escorts for the visitors stopped short of the Preservationist coalition. Golden spikes appeared above the heads of the crowd, shifting back and forth. The center of the body parted, revealing the ornate splendor of the Provenance Royal guards. Clad in gold-covered armor, and holding spears of the same, eight of their ilk marched with robotic precision. They stopped, forming two rows. A horned instrument blew a melody of the Royalty lineage.
The guards rotated to face each other and took a measured step back, forming a channel between them.
In it appeared none other than the Imperatrix himself.
The embodiment of regality and beauty, he held himself as if he’d been Imperatrix for millennia. The traditional Imperatrix circlet rested on his head, its ancient jewels twinkling with each minute turn of his head. His expression remained effortlessly dignified as he scanned the opposing delegation with a bemused grin.
Rragustus halted opposite Traveska. The pair faced off, drawing the attention of the entire hall. Neither leader flinched or offset any hint of uncertainty. With natural smoothness, the councilor bowed per the traditional greeting for the Imperatrix.
“Imperatrix Rrghustus, I know you know who I am, but formalities dictate a proper introduction. I am Councilor Traveska, elected leader of the Commonwealth. It is an honor to finally meet you in person. I thank you for receiving our Commonwealth delegation.”
Rrgaghtus returned the greeting and offered a warm smile. “Councilor Traveska, it is I, Imperatrix Rrgaghtus of the Pree Provenance, who am honored to be in your presence. On behalf of the Pree people, we extend our appreciation for your journey to our corner of the galaxy when you have so many other important matters requiring your attention.”
“I assure you, Imperatrix, that the Pree charter summit is of great importance to the Commonwealth,” Traveska replied. It was an understatement that Traveska managed to deliver without any hint of undertone.
The two leaders went on to make other important introductions. None of the other Pree leadership held the same amount of subdued charm that Rrgaghtus had, but there were no outright hostilities exchanged.
With the formal introduction complete, the station admin addressed the crowd. The opening procedures would begin soon. Until then, the delegation was free to view the exhibits in the hall and enjoy any refreshments. He stepped aside and a door along one of the side walls opened. Servant bots and staff exited bearing trays and dispenser carts.
The Councilor and his top delegation members stepped to the far side of the hall with the Imperatrix and his ministers. Celescia caught a fleeting view of Traveska’s face. His hard-set expression revealed the intense discussion that was about to be had.
Spotting the Preservationists descending upon the newcomers, she saw that the rest of the delegation was in for a rough time of their own.
One of the neutral regents made for the troupe. Celescia’s pulsed ticked up a notch. She’d met him many times before she’d joined Yanna and Ruki. He was reasonable from what she remembered. “Regent, it is good to see you again,” she said as he came before her.
He went to speak but confusion masked his face. “We’ve met before?”
Celescia scolded herself for the slip. Of course, the regent wouldn’t remember. “I thought we had, but I might be mistaken.”
“I would remember meeting a traitor like you,” he said, glaring at her with disdain. The open hostility took her aback. She hadn’t expected it from someone like him. “Your talents are undeniable, but you squander your gifts. It’s a shame given your popularity.” He gestured to the Mystery Man but refused to make eye contact. “Your stance on the charter is disappointing, your propaganda disingenuous, but your perverted showcases with this Human are outright disgusting.”
“And you’re a rude narcissist,” Yanna snapped.
“Shut your mouth, lowborn! I’m not done speaking.”
Yanna said nothing else, but Celescia could feel the anger in the tension of her partner’s arm. On the other side of Celescia, Dash shifted closer to her.
The regent wasn’t discouraged. He went on, emboldened by his vicious attack. “There are many who believe that you deserve punishment for speaking so negatively about the nobility. I happen to share their opinion.” He gestured at Celescia with two manicured fingers, stabbing the air with gusto. His head grew uncomfortably close to where she caught the scent of alterants upon his hot breaths. She fought the urge to lean back, to lash out in response, struggled to retain her composure—
A hand went to the regent’s chest, pushing him back. The Mystery Man now bladed himself between Celescia and the regent. He waved a finger at the belligerent bully.
Even if the regent didn’t understand the gesture, his PD would’ve translated it for him. “How dare you touch me, filth!” he said to Dash, finally making eye contact. He shot a fiery gaze at Celescia. “I demand your deviant man to apologize!”
Celescia had enough. “Your behavior is unbecoming of your stature, regent. I will not be spoken to in this manner.”
“I will not be lectured about manners and decorum by some treasonist harlot—”
The slap came out of nowhere. In one instant, the regent spewed his vile insults at her. The next, his head was spun 90 degrees to the side, mouth open, eyes wide in utter shock. The Mystery Man’s white-clad arm hovered in front of his chest, bent at the elbow in preparation for another strike.
The crowd around them took immediate notice, hushed whispers and gasps of disbelief. The regent found himself, focusing a hate-filled glare at the Mystery Man. His flat palm shifted higher as if to dare the regent to fling insults once again.
“Don’t do it,” Celescia said to Dash as security officers slipped through the surrounding crowd, appearing out of thin air. They formed a circle around the troupe, staring at the Mystery Man in bloodlust. One of them held a stunner, pointed down, but deployed and ready to use.
“Why did you strike the regent?” the supervisor demanded.
Celescia said, “The regent was verbally abusing us. The Mystery Man—”
“Quiet. I wasn’t talking to you.” The supervisor glared at the Mystery Man. “Answer my question.”
“That’s no way to talk to a lady,” came a deep voice. Hearty footsteps sounded against the floor as a big marine shouldered through the crowd. Gunnery Sergeant Alvarez approached the troupe only to be cut off by the stunner-wielding Pree.
“This is an internal security matter,” the supervisor said from inside the circle of his subordinates.
“Not when it involves any member of the Commonwealth delegation,” Alvarez replied. The officer blocking him didn’t move. “You’d better put that fucking thing away before I shove it up your ass,” he whispered before peering down at the Pree.
His threat needed no translation. The security officer holstered the stunner. Alvarez stepped around him and stood beside the Mystery Man.
“Everything okay over her, ma’am?” Alvarez asked Celescia.
“Yes. The regent here was being rude, and the Mystery Man corrected him on his behavior.”
Alvarez gave the regent an unimpressed once-over. “Hopefully he’s learned his lesson.”
The regent barred his teeth before slinking away beneath Alvarez’s intense stare. The security officers loitered a moment, then blended back into the crowd.
Alvarez peered around as the onlookers went back to their conversations. He directed the troupe to follow him toward the edge of the hall. When they emerged from the crowd, he leaned in close. “Please refrain from starting a diplomatic incident.”
“We will,” Celescia promised and thanked the man.
“Anytime,” he said. He sized up the Mystery Man and gave an approving nod before he left.
A few in the crowd began to shift toward the troupe, building courage after the incident. Celescia took the reprieve to whisper at Dash. “You must control yourself!”
“What you did was very inappropriate,” Yanna said.
“I am under control. That guy was being an asshole,” he answered.
“We don’t condone what he did,” Ruki said.
“But there are cultural differences you must consider,” Celescia added.
“Listen, I’m not standing here and listening to that vile crap. Especially when it’s directed at a lady.”
Within moments, a trio of regents had mustered the courage to approach. “Remind me to praise you for your chivalry should we get out of this alive,” Celescia said, and resumed her public facade, greeting them and entering an opposed but civilized conversation.
The tension from the confrontation had slipped from her mind when the message came through. She read it again and needed several minutes to excuse the troupe from the conversation.
“What is it?” Ruki asked as they stepped aside, keeping ahead of a trail of admirers.
Celescia breathed deeply, preparing herself. “There’s someone we need to meet with. I need you to come with me right now.”

I cannot emphasize enough how large the Walker family is, and in the runup to their visit there was a lot to be done. Thankfully, when you’re the richest person on the planet, you can make things happen really easily.
We still lived in the same house, there was just, I don’t know… no need to get something larger. It was large enough to be comfortable and small enough to be cozy and just the right size for privacy and there was a room for everything. The only real indulgence it had was probably the library full of old books. Both William and Rebecca had a thing about those, humans get sentimental about stuff like that, sometimes. It was a quiet room to read in, and nothing more.
But, with this many people descending on the city, something had to be done. I reached out to several hotels and reserved enough rooms for everybody and then some.
I reached out to Roger at the local grocery, who then put me in touch with the local grandmothers who usually cooked there and I said, “On this date, there will be over two hundred people showing up from not just out of town, but from all over the world, and we have only one kitchen in the house…”
To put it shortly, after arranging for single big conference room at one of the nicer hotels, I had a dozen old ladies from a dozen different regions eager to share their cooking with us. Naturally it goes without saying that I paid everybody well… and the local grocery made a mint off my bulk buy of food for them to prepare.
Of course it wasn’t just a business deal, you may recall my mention of how the old would prepare food at the store, making it more of a community center where ingredients were stored than just a place of commerce?
Well over the years of attempting to build ‘community’ around themselves, those engaged in the service industry experience a tonal shift in their treatment. This was nowhere more pronounced than at celebratory events, family reunions, graduations, weddings… and in these events, those who worked at the event, were considered part of whatever was being celebrated.
So, grandmas could be grandmas. They’d come bearing food, and be treated like they were Walkers themselves. While Earth was still riddled with localized hierarchies in their general work atmosphere, a great many positions that are service based are not about server and served, but more as a friend or family member, albeit for a brief time.
Mistreating the one feeding you is considered one of their worst social gaffes.
To Latunde I gathered a roster of the number of pets that were going to be brought along, which was a substantial number. Humans are very fond of keeping animals around. So much so that after I got the total list of cats, birds, dogs, and bought enough from his store to ensure there was plenty to go around…I wrote up a proposal.
“In the event that crews ever become integrated with multiple species, a pet friendly policy regarding human crewmembers must be written. Many of them simply cannot be properly content without something to look after, ergo a program of pet placement and training should be developed as part of any plan to draw human and alien crews together for any extended voyages.”
If you’re reading after the fifth edition of this book, then you’re aware that there is now an organization that expressly trains certain work animals for life on board military and civilian ships and incorporates human crewmembers for that purpose, thus satisfying the peculiar human need to keep animals around.
That proposal of mine, I’m proud to say, is why that organization exists.
There was, of course, only one other thing I had to do.
I’d have to tell Lisa I was leaving. And naturally, I’d also have to ask her if she’d like to join me at the Walker family reunion.
I’ve learned a great deal about human relationships over the last few years. I still remember Halbert Jones, the young man who worked in the information technology department in the same cooperative as Fauve. He lasted all of one date because he couldn’t handle her place in life. After that, she would only go out with people who were related or at least connected to some form of prominent figure.
Some have criticized her over the years for this. But if those criticisms bothered her, she never showed it. For better or worse, her life was different, and so she would only see people who understood those differences already. Who could blame her for not wanting to go through that same experience twice? Nobody whose opinion would matter anyway, that’s who.
But other than that foundational nature that lead inevitably toward nepotism in some form, I learned a great deal from others. Most importantly the thing that had to be kept up was communication. Not necessarily about ‘everything’. Neither she nor Bonny Red would ever discuss with me whatever the contents of their ‘agreement’ with one another happened to be.
But in most respects… and that meant I’d have to explain things, I couldn’t just wait until the last day and then say ‘see you in a year’.
That would not go over well. Just as importantly, I don’t think a simple phone call would do for something of this sort. If I was going to take her on what humans refer to as a ‘date’ before leaving for so long, the least I could do was tell her in person.
Naturally I knew she wouldn’t be happy about it, but what had to be done, had to be done. I routed her ticket to her just as I reached the front door of her apartment. According to her schedule she wasn’t working today, and I promptly heard the ‘ding’ beyond the door that indicated she’d gotten the notice.
It didn’t take long for me to get a message. ‘Thanks for the ticket, I assume you bought yourself one too but… why so far out? You know we could just go today, right now, if you wanted. I’m not working after all.’
I knocked. I had a way into her place, of course. But it just didn’t feel right to use it when I didn’t actually live there and she was present to admit me.
‘Just a second, somebody is at the door, I need to throw something on and get it, give me a call in like five minutes.’
I huffed a little, it figured. She opened the door a moment later, she was barefoot and wearing a simple summer dress. There’s a funny thing about human fashion designs, they can vary wildly from place to place, with new ones coming out almost daily.
However the simple and practical ones seem to just ‘stick around’.
As soon as I saw her, I felt more than a little guilty, and looked down a little. “Hey, hey, my eyes are up here, buddy.” She said and waved her finger up and down in front of herself to draw my eyes up. Her smile faded a little when I didn’t huff or wag my tail.
“Hey, Bailey, what’s going on? Nobody is supposed to be sad after buying tickets to a waterpark.” She insisted and stood aside to let me in.
The door closed behind me, and I just ‘spat it out’, as humans say.
“I’m leaving Earth.”
I really don’t know what I was expecting. Some tears, a big hug and a plea not to go. Dismay, anger, confusion, maybe?
But all she said was, “I’m betting Bonny Red will owe me big for this one.”
I don’t know what she meant exactly, but she waved me over to her couch and said, “Just tell me what’s going on.”
Humans… they never fail to amaze me.

ABOUT ME: As a DM, I strive to give reverence to each player and individual. I'm a fan of being behind and in-front of the DM screen but when I DM, I'm flexible and willing to make things work within reason but, I also expect you to be willing to accept my decisions for the sake of a flowing game state. I've DM'd settings from Eberron to Pokemon and Monster Hunter, most often my worlds are designed by me and I put in effort to make those worlds feel lively and populated. I rarely run out of modules, if ever, and I don't really have any intention to either. I will say that there's another DM in our group who has ran campaigns for us and he has ran Strixhaven, albeit slightly, Icewind Dale, and Keys to the Golden Vault.

A Canadian company plans to build Copperwood Mine to extract minerals from directly beneath Porcupine Mountain State Park, the largest SP in Michigan and largest old-growth forest in the Midwest
The 35,000 acres of old growth forest in the Porkies is predominantly eastern hemlock. Therefore, it is the finest ecosystem in the country to find the highly medicinal red reishi mushroom (in this region, ganoderma tsugae), which has been cherished in East Asian medicine as the "mushroom of immortality."
Given that mushrooms are bio-accumulators of heavy metals, old-growth forest which has never been mined or used for agriculture is the absolute best source of clean mushrooms. Unfortunately, the purity of the ecosystem is now in jeopardy.
Copperwood, if it is allowed to pass, will be a copper sulfide mine. Sulfide mining extracts metals from sulfur-bearing ore. Sulfides are a byproduct. When sulfides mix with water and air, they create sulfuric acid–– basically, battery acid. If this acid leaks into groundwater – which it always does – the result is called acid mine drainage. Such a process does not bode well for the health and purity of mushrooms, or of other foraged goods, nor game hunted, and especially not for the fish in the waterways.
The proposed site would extract minerals from directly beneath Park property. It is a stone's throw from the Presque Isle River where many go fishing. It is only a few miles from Lake Superior, which represents 10% of the world's surface fresh water. It is immediately adjacent to the largest old growth forest in the Midwest. The Presque Isle Scenic Area once held an Ojibwe village – French fur traders and Ojibwe natives used to meet on its beaches to conduct their business. Clearly, this is an area of enormous historic, ecological, and recreational value.
Only a few weeks ago, copper was denied status of "critical mineral" by the US Geological survey:

#03 AHAA Run (Desolands), Log 05 - Early Christmas for Jorge
For the context of why I'm doing this, you can check out this general post. Also, you can check my previous log here.
As I've said my previous post, I just finished all the achievements for this run but I decided to push it a little and fulfill my extra goals for myself:
  • Finish all the achievements by Cycle 1000 (done at cycle 938)
  • Mixed Industrial Brick (see Figure 8)
  • Shine Bug Ranching (done at cycle 1371)
  • 50 t Thermium (done at cycle 1112)
  • Sour Gas Boiler (check previous log)
  • Manage two decent planetoids (Finished 2nd planetoid at cycle 1200)
I just reached cycle 1371, and with my first radiant bug hatching (my ranch is shown in Figure 1) with 38 dupes under my care, I can say that this is a good stopping point for this run. In terms of struggles and issues found from here on then, there isn't much to discuss that is specific for this planetoid. So here's just a list of what I've done and polished before I was able to do call this cluster quits.

Linked Planetoid Base
So right after getting all the achievements, my first mega project is to fix the linked planetoid and permanently assign to duplicants there – one that's for constructions and whatnot while the other is to manage some essentials like food and farming. Figure 2 shows the finals state of that planetoid.

The reason why I spent about a couple of hundred cycles fixing this place is because this place is the primary source of water for my main base. It has two saltwater geyzers, one cool slush geyzer, and a cool steam vent. I also have my beetas here manufacturing my enriched uranium (I still rely on nuclear energy). For this, it was necessary to have dupes stationed here for sustainability. The following lists the essentials for this base:
  1. For my main energy, I switched to natural gas generators teleported from the main asteroid. I gave up on solar energy because of the destructive nature of the comets.
  2. I allocated a vent for this base's water supply, because my food relied on bristle/gristle blossoms and plant meat (from saturn critter trap)
  3. For this base, I tried constructing modular living complexes for my two duplicants. If you look at the top left of Figure 2, you'll see two buildings that houses one duplicant each. I made sure that the "appartment" has a central corridor that's a nature reserve, whose wild plants are thimble reeds. This will sustain the atmo suit requirement for each complex, as I have my dupes wear them while roaming around the whole planetoid.
  4. I'd have saturn critter traps to eat my beetinies. I need the enormous supply of hydrogen for my main base's hydrogen liquidation chamber, and also for some generators.
  5. No main rocket silo system, just one landing pad for emergency constructions.
Bunker Door Ceiling
With the WhattaBlast update, I used this run to test drive the old design I used (from the Jahws guide) before when dealing with comets. So what happens is that I built a ceiling of bunker doors that are just three tiles away from the upper limit of the screen. I just learned that the space scanners are cumulative in the whole clusters, therefore I can stack them up on different planetoids to increase their detection quality. Such is seen in Figure 3. The whole act here is that these doors will be opened, allowing interspace transport while it will close just a few seconds when the comets are coming. When the shower is done, it will open again, dropping the debris. The entombment will be dealt by the robominers. Also, I made a cooling loop for my space buildings using the conduction panel.

The result isn't really favorable. Back then during the base game days of ONI, comets only yield regolith and metals that fall when the doors opened. This is different now. There are comets (like oxylites and uranium ores) that kind of become natural tiles upon impact, which will stay from where they currently are, far from the reach of the robominers. I'm going to modify this build in the future. I'm just lucky that my main planetoid only has Ice Comets which proved to be more beneficial to me (passive cooling for my rocket silo).
2nd Main Base
This project took me about 200-300 cycles setting up everything before I can introduce permanent dupes here (Figure 4). The colonizing team included three rockets: two 3-dupe-manned builders, and a rocket whose sole purpose is to fly back and forth and drop rovers.

While stripmining the whole planetoid, I started out with establishing power. I constructed a Natural Gas Power Plant, with polluted water dump directly below it. I also started consolidating different bodies of water in the area. After that, I started outlining my base (lead suit-centralized) so that I can focus on the area of my kitchen. My priority to set up a deep freeze chamber in my kitchen by creating a cooling loop around it. The cooling loop will come from a Steam Generator setup with an Aquatuner (for the whole base cooling), Regulator (hydrogen loop for the deep freeze chamber) and a tepidizer to balance of with the cooling (since this is a frozen forest planetoid). After the kitchen, I started constructing a half-starvation ranch for pacus, as this will be my major source of food. For the water, I set up my bathroom loop paired with a sieving system all throughout the base. This planetoid is very favorable as I was given with a cool slush geyzer. Also, I didn't really need a lot of water since I'm going pescatarian.
Moreover, the reason why I chose this planetoid was because all story traits are here and I was able to complete them too Figure 5. However, since I'm very near to the end of my run, I wasn't able to make much use of them. Although the Somnium Synthesizer was actived a couple of times, the ancient specimen wasn't really of much use to me because my lime source comes from the eggs of hatched pacus. The critter trap didn't really provide much help with the morphing and the big shipper container was just a decoration (although Jorge the Hermit became a permanent resident in this base).

Shine Bug Morphing
This was the last goal that I ever accomplished for this run and it felt the longest because waiting for the bugs to morph without anything else to do (by then I got lazy to do any other thing since the fps is dropping significantly). My proposed structure here was an octagon-shaped complex (as shown in Figure 6 with a planner mod) where it will be divided into 8 rooms for each of the morphs (as aided with colors). Take note that the top right room will just not be for the base morph, but as an evolution room for the shine bugs. The rest of the rooms were built to preserve the morphs evolution (like feeding coral bugs with pepper bread and phosphorite to reinforce hatching of other coral bugs).

Here's what it looks like now (Figure 7), 1190 rads/cycle. I had fun with the morphing aspect of the game but since I did it towards the end of my run, it felt so much anticlimactic, waiting for the morphs to appear while I have nothing else desirable to do. Might consider this in my future runs but might do it on an earlier point in time.

Mixed Industrial Sauna
Shown in Figure 8, I have successfully created my industrial sauna and slickster ranch. The whole complex was able to run consistently for a very long time with minimal issues and I was able to productively fix the priorities so that my dupes can automatically produce materials whenever I want them to. It was at this time that I was able to produce thermium and maintain them at 50 t, where my tungsten source came from my rocket drilling missions.

Recently I noticed a glitch which reduces my carry weight in VL form from 1000something (that it normally should be) down to 420 for some reason. In normal form I have 620 carry weight... The carry weight items I have in mortal form (if it has something to do with this) are a custom enchanted necklace (+100 carry, made with the final perk from Ordinator Enchanting tree + Ench philter), 2 bandolier pouches (+27 each, from the Bandolier mod), and enchanted boots (+45). The latest mods I've downloaded since I noticed this issue are:

The 35,000 acres of old growth forest in the Porkies is predominantly eastern hemlock. Therefore, it is the finest ecosystem in the country to find the highly medicinal red reishi mushroom (in this region, ganoderma tsugae), which has been cherished in East Asian medicine as the "mushroom of immortality."
Given that mushrooms are bio-accumulators of heavy metals, old-growth forest which has never been mined or used for agriculture is the absolute best source of clean mushrooms. Unfortunately, the purity of the ecosystem is now in jeopardy.
Copperwood, if it is allowed to pass, will be a copper sulfide mine. Sulfide mining extracts metals from sulfur-bearing ore. Sulfides are a byproduct. When sulfides mix with water and air, they create sulfuric acid–– basically, battery acid. If this acid leaks into groundwater – which it always does – the result is called acid mine drainage. Such a process does not bode well for the health and purity of mushrooms, or of other foraged goods, nor game hunted, and especially not for the fish in the waterways.
The proposed site would extract minerals from directly beneath Park property. It is a stone's throw from the Presque Isle River where many go fishing. It is only a few miles from Lake Superior, which represents 10% of the world's surface fresh water. It is immediately adjacent to the largest old growth forest in the Midwest. The Presque Isle Scenic Area once held an Ojibwe village – French fur traders and Ojibwe natives used to meet on its beaches to conduct their business. Clearly, this is an area of enormous historic, ecological, and recreational value.
Only a few weeks ago, copper was denied status of "critical mineral" by the US Geological survey:
Is it therefore worth risk to endanger both the health of the ecosystem and the health of humans all for the sake of a mineral which has been deemed not to be of urgent importance?

Our community has an organized ranking structure beginning with Members who comprise the majority of the roster. Scouts are our support team of Members who've stepped up to more officially support the FC, some work on obtaining a future leadership rank. Lieutenants and Officers comprise the proud Azure Council, a diverse group of players of different specialties and services to the FC, making up lower and higher tier leadership, seeing over the Scouts and the FC weekly events, aside from being admins. The FC Infinitum Master oversees all and leads the Azure Council and the company forward while always keeping the heart and vision of the community alive and in sight. Currently we are re-assessing ranks in the free company, giving more support permissions and duties to our Scouts, while the current council operates as a small team of Lieutenants lead by the FC Master.
Everyone Welcome and Who Fits Best
We have an open door policy. Whether you're casual, a returning player, a veteran, or a newbie, we have a vast array of players in our member roster. Our weekly schedule is organized and provides an array of activity for players of most levels, however we like to ask players who're pretty new or under the level cap, to be extra vocal about their needs while they're still unable to attend some daily events or higher level content that most of our weekly lineup focuses on. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible and have the most success. We find that most players enjoy Azure Infinitum, many have stated that they subscribed to FFXIV much longer than they ever would have imagined after they have been around in our community, as they've gotten involved and experienced all that we offer.
Our FC keeps a daily schedule (see here: of events that are hosted by permitted Scouts and Council ranks, these range from 8-man and 24-man raids and map parties, to WT journal groups and trial clear parties or farms, and more- and attending anything isn't mandatory at all here. We're happy to have you, and its up to our members how much they'd like to get involved. Attendance is optional! There's never any stress to attend FC functions.
Savage Raiding Statement
We find that some hardcore raiders looking for free companies just to join their statics who don't already have one, might not fit well if savage raiding is their only or greatest focus, because traditionally Azure does not have a Savage Static, but focuses more on allowing members to organize their own groups and also provides resources to do so. Despite not supporting an official static for the FC, we hope that hardcore raiders enjoy the wealth of our community's wealth of harmony and overall fun, and that everyone may take initiative to seek out or build a raiding static within our community if they are interested, as opposed to missing out on experiencing Azure. Depending on the content season, we may have an Unofficial static lead by a leader, and routinely offer limited time Savage-learning events that may run for a number of months.
Rules and No Drama Policy
Please take a moment to look over our Rules Page at (, we find that rude individuals and people who create drama are the outsiders here that don't fit well. We know its a big page, so at least visit the General Rules section before joining.
Recruitment Care & Activity
People of Azure Infinitum are often if not always good natured players who found their way to our community looking for a place with structure, friendliness, organization, and great activity, or they've been scouted during recruitment drives and have been well screened. Its a place where one can be social and attend everything, or relax in the background and enjoy the services and facilities of being in an active, organized, and friendly FC. We actively recruit periodically to assist with upkeep of community activity levels, and to meet new comrades. A community that closes recruitment can be doomed to stagnation. Its normal for a community to have an inner core of die hards who log in daily regardless of content releases, and also have an outer core of individuals that range from those with less availability to those who check in during Patches. This is why we take extra care in keeping the fresh blood flowing into Azure, cautious recruitment, and support our active model by always staying welcoming and sometimes running recruitment campaigns and other services. Handling Online Drama
Because we keep a no-drama policy and have a strong communication network, it is leadership's ultimate priority to handle any issues that may come up as soon as possible, and most people appreciate our problem solving which has inspired many other communities. Between our Support & Leadership ranks, we use a number of report and resource channels to handle situations, and perform problem solving protocols & tactics to fairly address issues as possible. Drama is inevitable at some point for any online community, so its important to have a large and strong list of moderators (currently around 60!) and a council of leaders (15+) to quickly handle any problems. Luckily, we don't have a lot of drama, but we're always very well equipped and very prepared. Our community has been commended by game staff in the past for our methods, and we have worked with the FFXIV Special Task Force to ensure as much safety to our community as achievable. It should be stressed that it is up to our membership to report to GM's in-game, and to Azure Leadership should any issues or concerns come up. Its also highly recommended that our members appropriately document evidence that can be used to help us assess situations and make proper decisions. Documenation such as screenshots of harassment is a great example! Our members online safety is greatly important to us and is a number one concern of our leadership team. Estate Organization
We have the entire set-up at our estate, from gardens for members and Krakka Root production (free for members' chocobos), to our stables, nicely uniform clean lawn with hangout spots that are popular, with crafting stations, all available NPCs for simple mats and repairs, cut-scene viewer, toybox, triple-triad board, a fully operational and geared fleet of airships and subs, and our Azure Infinitum Assembly Chamber on the top floor for our meetings where announcements are made at our Grand Assemblies. We also have an organized form of gathering for weekly events in the yard, places to relax, food that is always available on tables at our Cellar, and hold a lot of special events and social games at our Hall. One part of our reputation that often precedes us is our event crafting and hosting.
First, let me make sure its clear that attendance is never mandatory, but those who can make use, when possible, of what we provide each day, benefit from our events each week.
Since our beginning, traditions like our Thursday Treasure Thursdays events have run each week. Our weekly line-up presently begins on Tuesdays post-weekly reset, and consists of Raid Tuesdays, Wondrous Wednesdays (WT Journal Parties, often doubles as Trial Clears and Pony Drops), Treasure Thursdays (Endwalker's timeworn maps with groups of 8 doing up to 3 rounds of maps allowing for up to 24 maps ran), 24-Man Tuesdays (full pre-formed Azure 24-member alliances are made and raids are cleared, will be returning upon the release of EW's 24-man), Super Azure Slayer Sunday (our weekly meetup to do all sorts of PVP content be it Rival Wings or Frontline), and Monstrous Mondays (helps clear the current and previous patch extreme trials).

We also have what we call Special and Quarterly Events. These types of events are Weekend-Long-Events that usually consist of a theme or celebratory social events we craft. During these events we hold big Riddle Races, Costume/Glamour shows and contests, 3-Story Mansion Maze Races, Speedrun Dungeon Races, Hide and Seek games, Custom Quest Events, Discord events like Cards Against Humanity nights, Comedy events, PVP Tournament Circuits, and more.
Our Special and Quarterly events are Azure Day Weekend (Takes place 3 times a year across a weekend, celebrates the FC), Azure Summer Festival (3-days at the end of August in partnership with Child's Play, raises money for children in long-term care, anniversary of historic FC event called the Lunar Rebellion), Anniversary Azure Day (a big weekend event in November that celebrates our Founding), Azure Day Saint's Wake (celebrates Halloween/All Saint's Wake), Azure Starlight Day (celebrating Starlight Day/Christmas/December Holiday Season), Azure Grand Melee and Duel Tournaments (PVP Circuit series crowning our PVP Champions) and more.

If you've been around our server you may have heard of our Azure Day Weekends. Our Azure Days take place quarterly as mentioned just above, with four evolved editions called Azure Summer Festival, Azure Day Saint's Wake, Azure Starlight Day, and Anniversary Azure Day. With Azure Day Weekends and related events traditionally occuring quarterly our members are always excited to see the next big weekend of crazy and fun social games, and our showering of the free company in gil and prizes galore. We go all out when we celebrate the free company, and Azure Days are another way we find for leadership to give back to the community. 2023 and beyond is now host to additional seasonal Azure Day events!
We're always giving our members a chance to have fun, win big, and make some great memories in the in-game family we've become. Something fun is always on the horizon in Azure.
I almost can't stress enough how friendly our community is. We have a vast variety of members from hardcore gatherers and crafters, social butterflies, chill veterans, experienced raiders, level grinders, support teams, PVP aficionados, mechanic specialists, and mentors. We're also very friendly to all casual players as well and we keep an open door so long as recruits are always aware that we have a no-drama tolerance here.
​Evolution into a Gaming Clan & Network
Plans are in the works and foundations are being laid that is slowly turning our community into a larger gaming network, with our first established Azure Wing with regular occurring activity being founded in Monster Hunter World, this has led to a successful Destiny 2 clan and more. Becoming a member of our Discord and/or Free Company now means access to things like our huge discord, Azure Wing membership in other games, and being able to join in on any of our other activities in the general community. Azure Network as its being called at the moment, is growing with an all-new website and community features for playing together across Final Fantasy XIV and to Azure Skies beyond!
We rank high as one of the top FC's in Worldwide Activity on lodestone, and have for a long time. Most of our players are divided between the US East and West Coasts, members in East and West Canada, and a few outside the US or in EU or Aus zones. Because we do have an activity policy (mentioned below) we keep a standard flow of people, and have crowds in the early morning, late morning, early afternoon, afternoon, evening, and late night crowds.
Elitism isn't our style. Our community boasts a broad range of characters, great personalities, the proud, and also some silly goofs. But elitism isn't welcome, no matter how successful we are or how large we grow. We're always welcoming towards fresh faces interested in joining our guild, and the in-game activity ranges between 30-60+ online at once during prime time hours, sometimes around 70+ on patch days, and usually always with half the roster logging in throughout a 24 hour period, and around 15-30+ during the night.
Activity Policy
We ask that our members do not go missing without logging in for more than 60 days straight. If we hear word from someone or have some kind of decent excuse, we place our members on our On Vacation rank, which lasts presently until 90 days have passed. Exceptions are made for military deployments, hospital stays, financial issues, disability/health related issues, moving, or other reasons that might fall on a case-by-case basis.
All members not heard from in 60 days (roughly 2 months) or currently 90 days (roughly 3 months) are discharged. We allow 3 joins to Azure Infinitum in total, but exceptions can be made due to reasons listed above. If removed for inactivity, or you've left our FC for another reason and haven't already joined 3 times, you're always welcome back, but please remember, we are not a revolving door.
Keeping our roster full of members who have been online and presently play the game actively ensures an active environment for our players who play often. It also keeps our credits and clerical processes balanced across our network, and allows space for new faces to join our big happy in-game family of comrades.

2023.06.08 17:20 Deathpaloma Chapter 4. Harsh conditions

I made it to a farm, I tried to hunt for more rabbits but only caught one, there is a ravaged deer carcass, I will collect some wood to start a fire next to it, I need to rest I am still too weak.
I did it! I got enough wood to last me the whole night, there was a little more than a killogram of meat on the deer, plus tha rabbit should be enough for tonight.
I found a note and some food on the farm, along with some wool socks and a Mackinaw jacket, it should give me a nice breakfast for tomorrow, the note mentioned how to plant and keep seeds, it would be helpful if it wasn't winter right now and if I could wait a month for the plants to grow... I wonder what happened to the people that lived here, I saw some pictures it seemed like a family. I hope they are somewhere safe.
I have been studying that old map it seems like this place is called Pleasant Valley, I have treced the course to Mistery lake, according to the map it was a relatively populated area, although I don't expect to find anyone alive here anymore, god knows how long the corpses I found have been out here for.

God I made my way to the cave avoiding yet another bear and two wolves, every time I see one of them my heart races and I start to sweat, an encouter with either would be a death sentence... I am here now, but I am tired and I have no food or bed to sleep in, sleeping in the cold floor seems like a bad Idea.
I am set at an impossible situation, I don't have a bed roll, so I can't stay in the cave but on the other side of it to welcome me a blizzard, I might as well die out there. I feel like I don't have a choice I need to move past the blizzard to safety because staying here is also a death sentence. I am sad, I didn't expect my journey te end so soon... If I don't make it, I am sorry dad, a stupid mistake killed me.

I know this is a pretty discussed topic i am sorry if this has been asked before. I am currently near lvl 60, i have a build pretty much completed, as pulverize bear i got vasilys, shockwave aspect and insatiable fury, i have nothing else to get for this build i am afraid apart from paragon glyphs, my question is if there is anything worth to keep going up to lvl 100? Looking for higher rolls seems boring to me i am already godly powerful, may be t4 brings new stuff?currently i am just looking for a couple aspects to try another build but ultimately i am thinking on creating a new char, would i be missing important things at endgame on my main?

2023.06.08 17:17 New_Connection9333 I think we don't realise how good PoE actually is

So having played a lot of Diablo 2 in the past, quite a lot of D3 and POE since 2015, i of course bought and played Diablo 4 as it looked promising and the game looked like it could maybe have a little competition with PoE
I'm not here to diss the game at all, i played till level 60 with my barb using a Rend build, but sadly i really can't enjoy the endgame. For me Diablo always was a license i'd buy and play again for it's story and lore, and then the "endgame" would come after, as for PoE i'd say the opposite, i just don't care for the story but excited as soon as i get to the endgame with maps. Just this time, i didn't like Diablo 4's story, thought it was rushed, too short, no expansion of the lore at all and full of flaws and things uncoherent.
So i thought that maybe they went all in with the endgame, but i was just disappointed again, i feel like there's 10 differents mobs on the map (and they're from D2/D3, not even original) and in the dungeons, theres like 6-7 diffrents bosses in dungeons ( i thought initially each dungeon had it's unique boss lol) and they're so easy to kill for most of them. Basically once you get to the end there's nothing really insane to do, it feels like as soon as you start World Tier 4 and play a little you're already wearing the best gear you can have, although i still have 40 levels to go, in POE i usually get that kind of stuff after level 90 minimum and after a bit of farming, here at 60 it really feels like you're maxed out, and basically at that point you either have two choices (since the rest of events aren't really challenging/fun) :
- run the same dungeon to level up faster (but for no reason cuz monsters just scale with you)
- run mythic dungeons from wo the nightmare dungeons but again, it's the same 10 dungeons everytime so there's very few diversity and you just feel like running in a circle, to get minimal optimization at the end
And here's where PoE is incredible, the endgame never feels redundant to me, the rotation in maps, the fact that each of these maps feel kinda unique with it's boss even if it's just a zombie with a different name. The fact that i probably played more than 10 seasons of PoE and still enjoy it this day is actually insane for a game. I can't think the same of Diablo 4 because the farming of dungeons for aspects, the altars of lilith ( :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) ) all of this, it's already boring me after only doing it once. Maybe i can't enjoy too much Diablo because of PoE, i don't know, i just feel like Diablo is way too "simple", the game doesnt have mechanics proper to itself, unlike PoE that introduces pretty new mechanics (even though it's seen in other games like rogue like for the Sanctum, mixing a rogue like system and a HnS game like that has never really been done afaik).
PoE was released in 2013, and the fact it's still so massively played today really shows how insane that game is, even though nowadays people have expectation on graphics and stuff related to it (animation, sounds), things PoE isn't really the best (until POE2 which looks gorgeous), the game knows how to re-invent itself, and bring more fun (something i lack a bit while playing D4) to the playerbase, and it probably is one of the only games being that "old" and still delivering that much towards it's fans.

Hi everyone!
Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable individuals or companies that will take commissions on custom keyboards? I'm more interested in function over style so not looking for anything uber luxurious but I've been in this hobby long enough to know that none of this comes cheap 🤣. I am looking for two identical keyboards under the following context:
I'm currently using a Dygma Raise chassis with Gateron Box Ink V2 Pinks and have performed the ball bearing mod to reduce total travel down to 1.4mm. I've also recently switched over to Nuphy's nSA profile keycaps (which I think might be proprietary for them because I can't find that profile anywhere else?). Even though I love the reliability and customizability of mechanical switches, I have always loved the feeling of high quality scissor-switches and minimally sculpted keycaps, which is what I've been trying to emulate with this board. I would want the custom board to be a split and tentable ergo, similar to my current Raise. My dream is basically a split and tented Apple Magic Keyboard with thumb clusters.
I'm not opposed to the idea of building my own keyboard from parts and kits, but I don't have a ton of free time to do all of the necessary research and get familiar with all of the products out there to be confident I'm making the right decisions to get the feel exactly like I'm envisioning.
