Primeiramente, desculpe pela parede de texto.
Tenho um amigo já faz uns 15 anos, mas nos últimos anos, tenho me afastado por longos períodos de tempo, é comum que eu eventualmente retome o contato, mas dessa vez ainda não tomei coragem... Retomei o contato com ele em 2020 e desde o começo de 2022 não falei mais, sem brigar nem nada, só não chamei mais e ele também não chamou. Nós somos amigos desde criança (acho que 2007), mas ele é um mentiroso patológico (sério, não tem outra explicação) e aparentemente um tanto interesseiro. Ele odeia sair de casa, mesmo quando a gente chama, é um sacrifício pra ele ir, mas quando ele quer algo, aí é facinho. Quando combinamos algo, mesmo que simples, tipo jogar videogame na casa dele ou ver um filme, é muito fácil que ele cancele também, por algum motivo bem nada a ver e de última hora. Por outro lado, houve vezes em que ele me chamou do nada na casa dele porque ele tinha "ganhado" um notebook gamer da Sony como acerto de demissão (já explico essa) e veio com Linux instalado, e era pra eu instalar o Windows e alguns jogos, já que trabalho com TI. Tive até que voltar no outro dia pois tinha muita coisa que ele queria instalado e configurado, mas em nenhum momento ele falou em pagar, e pra piorar, nem comida me ofereceu enquanto eu estava lá (cheguei próximo das 18h e fui embora umas 21-22h).Sobre a história da Sony: ele mantinha uma mentira que trabalhava pra Sony, (sim, a Sony!) como Homem Aranha fazendo serviços com cosplay em eventos e coisa do tipo. Apesar dele realmente ter dois cosplays muito bem feitos do aranha, nós moramos numa cidade de 5 mil habitantes no interior de SP, e eventos grandes ocorrem a pelo menos uns 400km daqui, na capital. E ele soltava umas coisas absurdas assim sobre esse tal emprego frequentemente quando a gente comentava sobre os nossos trabalhos "de gente comum". Outra coisa que me magoou um pouco e foi um dos motivos pra eu ter me afastado novamente, foi que no Natal trocamos presentes e eu dei de presente pra ele o jogo do Miles Morales que tinha acabado de lançar, pro PS4 mas com upgrade gratuito pra PS5 que ele já ia comprar. Ele sem falar nada, vendeu o jogo, e depois apareceu com a versão de PS5 dizendo que a Sony tinha "dado de presente" pra ele. (isso foi antes da história do notebook). Nós temos a mesma idade, 25 anos, e por muito tempo considerei ele meu melhor amigo, agora não tenho tanta certeza. Acho que já ficou claro também, que sou um cara meio sem amigos, mas mesmo assim, não sei se quero retomar o contato, o problema é que penso no cara, ele nem sai de casa, fica o dia todo postando uma vida falsa no instagram e imagino que não tenha outros amigos. 2023.06.09 13:21 IzanagiTheGod KOTOR 1 Fan’s First Time With KOTOR 2 (Review)

The first game is one of my favorite games for the majority of my life. The first time I beat it I was so young that my dumbass ran in circles throwing grenades at Malak since spamming flurry level 1 wasn’t cutting it (I just really liked the whoosh noises).

I give it a playthrough every 2 years or so and always have a blast, and now that I saw it was on switch alongside the sequel, I decided to try KOTOR 2 after doing a force only run with like 8 strength in KOTOR 1.
​
For variety’s sake (and a fear of soft locking myself due to the first game’s difficulty at times) I went full meat-head-muscle-guy-hit-stuff guardian with 16 or so strength. The beginning of the game was quite slow and I understand why as a teenager I could never get further than Telos.
​
I love world building as much as the next nerd but my lord the amount of log recordings and depth perceptionally challenged mining droids I had to wack while wearing tight fallout cosplay was definitely getting old after a couple hours. The majority of it is spent uncovering a sabotage conspiracy involving evil droids and miners trying to sell a wizard to the mafia, which isn’t particularly relevant aside from a set up of everyone trying to kidnap you and that the red lightsaber fellas are back once again. Too long for what it accomplishes.

Finally off that space hell and we’re dropped into Telos. I enjoyed the character interactions with everyone trying to bribe you alongside relaxing in a cantina and doing the mini games. Czerka starts off with logic but (as I found most themes in this game) end up being absurdly mustache twirling while spouting about making space walmart great again. So unless you just really hate plants you side with the other boys and eventually get shot onto the actual planet and meet Bao, who’s a great wingman to have around despite me having to crank up my volume when he speaks.

At this point I’m really loving the combat, it had a good sense of challenge and my team had nice variety once Bao showed up to do more skill monkey actions, since my exile smashed everything they touched. Not much more to say except meeting Atris briefly, who’s main personality trait is attitude. After telling her I don’t really care I was exiled and that my more pressing matter is being shot at, she begrudgingly let me leave while longingly staring at my behind.

Here the game opens more and I’ll give my thoughts more broadly. Our new thong toting albino handmaiden joins mister manslaughter Atton and myself on Dantooine, a very enjoyable planet with good fights and fun side quests that don’t derail the main goal too much. The politics are simple and brief with both sides being the ol’ good and evil. Unfortunately we’re blessed with the douchebag Jedi who is impressively able to contradict his own values every time he opens his mouth. “You saved me from this cage you damn idiot now they’re going to attack the settlements all because of you. Me being in this cage would have saved the day! You should’ve known!”. Yeah sounds like a needlessly risky plan that involves leaving the defenders completely out of the loop and pretending to know what these murderers are thinking, let’s not do that. He’s the most comical example of “jedi bad I wanna sit and think” and the game isn’t particularly subtle about it.

Regardless we move on as I’m ambushed by a toothless submissive in my ship that I promptly one shot. She then falls in love with me. As one does.
​
With my harem of submissives at the ready I leave the wizard choker Atton in the cockpit for the rest of the game and move on to the planet of crime Nar Shadaar, and begin to become very distracted by how every female can’t stop talking about how hot I am. Even the damn assassins are down bad.
​
I find this planet to be the most fun part of the game for me with a good blend of politics, exploration, combat, and overall atmosphere. It felt very “star ears underworld” like I remember from the old EU novels. Mira joins the crew as a bad bitch no nonsense bounty hunter who makes god awful decisions, firmly securing her place in my party for the rest of the game despite her asmr voice forcing my tinnitus ass to read the subtitles.

It’s of note that I built my lightsaber after Dantooine and essentially one shot everything in the game with force speed and flurry, with Brianna also hitting like a truck while the third member buffs/shoots. I love that the guns are far more valid in this game and Mira felt great to use as the party leader due to her high skills and ignoring mines, while my other two members force jumped into battles. This lasted the entire game and made the combat far less engaging however, as it was a rinse and repeat of extremely fast battles, where I two shotted Sion on Korriban before Kreia told me to piss off.

I disliked Onderon and it brought the game down quite a bit for me, due to its politics undermining the writing focus of the game, which I’ll get into here to finish off my review.
​
This games writing is pretty damn good. The biggest thing that made me sad while playing was that I couldn’t bring all my party members with me at all times as I thought each one was super engaging. Unfortunately in a regular blind playthrough you miss A LOT due to the influence system blue balling some extremely well written dialogue. This hit the hardest with Kreia in my playthrough, which is a shame as I knew she was the one with the best acted/written lines. With the dialogue I did receive however, I can definitely see what they were going for but I don’t find it remotely as thought provoking as the game’s reputation would have you think. Kreia “teaches” you some conceptually interesting ideas, but they end up being hypocritical in their own sense and at the end of the day she really is just spiteful about her failures along with everyone else’s.
​
You gave that man 5 dollars, now you’ve effectively made him a target to others where he wouldn’t otherwise be one, making his life considerably worse due to your quick and simple act of kindness. This is certainly thought provoking, but for kind of idiotic reasons. Can an individual even rise up and better their lives without given the chance to do so? Should all be cast into poverty and homelessness without aid as they are too weak to fully pull themselves up in a selfish society? This is some metal gear rising senator armstrong “strong eat the weak” shit and here’s it’s being compared to the force.

She claims I’m only as strong as I am due to the unfortunate circumstances of being hunted, but I was born with a gift and kidnapped from birth to be a fighter, unlike this beggar in the slums. That lesson is essentially the “challenge breeds excellence” poster that was in your elementary school classroom and it cannot be applied to all situations/people accurately due to several varying circumstances. This is decent stuff honestly when not taken at face value, as it can be interpreted that Kreia is just wrong, so I disagreed with her but also told her that I saw value in what she was trying to teach me then. I suppose the main criticism I have with her writing is she’s VERY blatantly evil, which ended up being a distraction to me instead of being a fresh look at the force.

Then comes Onderon. Every dispute in this game is insanely obvious who the good/bad guys are, with the latter typically trying to murder babies to achieve their goals. Then I land on this planet and see desperate families begging on the street to be allowed to leave, a man being held in custody with no evidence about to be executed as the authorities are too lazy, and the sworn beast rider enemies of the city casually attempting to murder people inside its own walls due to some dumbass blood truce.
​
This queen sucks ass honestly, and this civil unrest and negligence wouldn’t last another 6 months. Then the other side shows up, a bunch of fascists going for a power grab when the republic is recovering from a war effort, claiming its due to war mongering when they’d obviously all be dead if they werent protected from the mandalorians. So they suck ass too. And I decide to not get too involved as the entire game has a “I don’t really care, I’m not a Jedi anymore and I’m trying to learn more about myself and defeat the Sith that hunt me” option for the vast majority of dialogue.
​
I decide to take Kreia’s lesson to heart and don’t decline Tobin’s offer in the cantina, as I wanted to see both sides of the conflict in full before making a decision instead of just the “good guy” option as that could have irresponsible consequences, as she said. It’s a shame that once I agreed to help them by saying I really only wanted to speak to the Jedi master, my exile suddenly gained a thirst for genocide and was commited to become a terrorist without giving me the option of informing the queen of the attack this dipshit just briefed me on.
​
And thus I spent the next hour or so being called a Sith as I helplessly murdered the entire queen’s army without a single moment that lets me say “I didn’t agree to be the damn general of your terrorist regime”. I’m forced to kill the Jedi master as all the options say “muwhaha my revenge at last”, and all the other Jedi at Dantooine I had pleasant conversations with in the past decide my trial of life has expired. Then Kreia, who called me a failure the entire game for not doing the selfish choices, then calls me a failure for selfishly taking revenge.
​
The worst part about this situation? I literally pulled the exact same tactic earlier in the SAME game. When the invaders at Dantooine asked me to help them, I agreed so they’d tell me their plan then immediately snitched to the settlers and set up a defense with this information. Brianne wasn’t happy with this method but tough, it’s called using your brain and saving little baby lives. But here it’s bafflingly not an option and it really hurt my overall experience of this game, changing my ending which all in all seems rushed/unfinished as well, which is truly a real shame once you learn of its forced early release.

Those of you who know the game very well may find this critique my own fault, and I’ll certainly take a degree of blame for it, but it left a bad taste overall. Despite that, the story in general was such a great time with realistic portrayals of rebuilding in post-war time, and ptsd affecting multiple people differently. I don’t regret playing it and while I do prefer the first game slightly I do look forward to a dark side playthrough one day in the future, as the vast majority of the game really improved on the overall flow that the first had established, despite some pacing issues here and there.

It's finally my day off and have no other canvas to spill my musings on, so for those of you who have played through any of these games more times than you can count (starting from at least DMC4), feel welcome to read on and reminisce or share your own story / journey / introduction to this series.
2002: A magazine I purchased came with a PS2 demo disc, featuring a trailer of the first game. Now, titles like MSG2, FFX, GTA3 (and whatever else was popular at the time) were already captivating in their own right, especially for a kid who upgraded from a "blocky" PS1 graphics to the jaw-dropping sleek and smooth graphical wizardry of the PS2.
It was this demo disc which contained a trailer for a game which had a weird, yet intriguing title. Let me tell you, the moment Dante launched a fiend with his sword and kept it nailed in mid air with bullets was a brief red-pilled, jaw dropping moment where everything else I have ever played to date seemed vanilla as fuck in comparison and would end up rewatching it countless times as well as showing it off occasionally to friends.
Problem is, I was also living in a bit of a jesus-freak household and therefore buying / renting the game was an impossibility especially one with the word Devil in the title, so I was stuck with this demo disc and sort of forgot about it over time and moved onto other games.
2006-7: The first time I bought a console (X360) with my very first paycheck as a gift to my brother and of all the games he decides to purchase day one, is DMC4 - ironic as he's still a sucker for western AAA titles and sees nothing special about DMC5 (he finds it too "arcadey").
Let's just say that the Xbox I gifted him was no longer his, as I would continuously pull it out of his room and into mine to feed my insufferable desire to play the crap out of this very addictive and cathartic game. I was instantly obsessed and happy that I finally had a DMC game.
One day, his friends (who I barely interacted with) are over and decide to watch whatever it is I'm playing. Friend #1 (familiar with DMC3) wouldn't stop raving about Vergil and friend #2 becomes fixated for a while, muttering something to the effect of 'I dont know whats going on here but this looks amazing' as I'm dishing out combos, with the incentivized pressure to hit that SSS as they stare.
They eventually become closer friends (thanks Itsuno), the DMC cast kind of became the imaginary friends of our autistic circle and this period of life is marked as a golden, blissful wistful part of the nostalgic depths of my soul.
2010: 'That' trailer drops and my gut sinks. This is it, no more sequel. It's beyond dead. Other priorities have taken over my friends lives, life has changed them and nothing's the same anymore, so no one to vent with. Screw this period.
RIP.
2013: The demo for DmC has just become available. I download it hesitantly but try my very best to keep an open mind. Trying to finish it felt like a slog and the nauseatingly uncanny movements (in comparison to the sharp, snappy, responsive mechanics I was used to) just didn't feel right, and the award-winning shakespearean dialogue exchanged in that boss fight as well as the general tone of the game was about as cool as 2 rats fucking in a sock in the corner of a sauna. Once it was over, I felt like a cheap whore and uninstalling it immediately didn't help wash the stain for a while. Great level design though now that I look back at it. *Fires up DMC4 bloody palace again*
2017: The DMC5 leak on ResetEra just happens to drop only days after buying a PS4 to play through the series for old times sake. My imagination runs wild for months and so does my motivation to stay alive.
2018: 10 years have passed yet it has felt like a lifetime. The first trailer drops online and it's real. I see short, white hair and for a few moments start to feel betrayal and dread. Then Nero pulls out that iconic sword, revs it and at that moment, every single feeling of wonder and excitement I've ever experienced for anything as a child, becomes condensed into a single point and explodes with childish joy. This sub was at around 8000 members more or less and was the most active I've ever seen it, never would've imagined it being 159k.
I immediately contact my old friends (who I haven't talked to since 08) asking if they've seen the trailer. Then more trailers drop and I finally understood what it felt like to be a kid all over again, as if coming full circle to the moment I first saw the DMC1 trailer on the demo disc - but amplified to the power of 9001. My depression is cured, wage slavery is now tolerable for another year and for the first time ever, I begin to feel intense pity for those who will never understand how it feels to be this excited about anything.
2019: The final trailer drops, Vergil appears at the end and my insomnia has gone into overdrive. The game is a week away and I have to make sure no final destination shit gets in between me and that disc, for I wont die happy unless I see how this story plays out. This was my first day 1 purchase of any game and upon arriving at a nearly empty store, it were as if the chariots of weebness descended from Capcom's top floor and cleared the path with an ethereal spotlight for this weird, eccentric manchild to be first in line for this blue balled masterpiece.
One of the things I wanted to see most (and fantasized about for years) was Nero interacting with his father, and (as a hardcore fan evidently) delivered with one of the most powerfully emotional scenes I've ever seen in a video game, one that I wish I could relive over and over for the first time.
And so upon completion, time was no longer at a standstill and was returned to my adult, tax-paying form as the credits rolled, well, a very lucky one that lived to see the end of a story I was convinced I'd never get to see more of in this lifetime. Getting the breaker gloves at the end of game reminded me of this scene from Dexter's Lab, as if we weren't spoiled with enough replayability value.
Sadly, I have never heard back from one of my friends and the other already has children with no inclination for video games. *We shall never surrender ballad plays softly over as I reminisce the days*.
So, if I am ever administered to a nursing home (or mental hospital if you will), I hope they'll have a playstation, a copy of this game, and one of you fanboys with me to pester.

it isn't strange that just a few years ago , resident evil 4 was considered a good game , but the remake comes along with the "new fans" bashing the original saying stupid stuff like , only people blinded by nostalgia liked that game , no actually i liked the game because it was good , its that not a possibility? damn stop using that as an argument is super lame , for this reason i preffer that a dino crisis remake does not exist , because of course the "New fans" will come and start bashing the original and that goes for devil may cry too (the new fans of dmc 5 cant accept a game where vergil is not the main antagonist )

This may be a bit complicated but I have no intention of making things this way. I'll give you a bit of background and we can get to it.
I really don't know my next direction. I love a challenge. I also don't mind a cakewalk I played so many games and have no intention of stopping. I feel like a fighter (preferably 2.5 or 3d) is in the works or a solid platformer, but I'm open.
I just want to hear what you have to say. What is that game I ought to play? I am happy to address any questions, field games I played in the past etc. I apologize if you make a recommendation and I played it before. Just curious what the pulse is. Niche is great. Popular is great. I'm just here for the story.

So I'm having an idea to cosplay as Perona from One Piece. I wanna DIY the cosplay but I can't sew to save my life. So when I saw this skirt at Shien I had an idea to partially dye it.
My question is is it possible and if so how can i make it work.
***Note the material is 95% Polyester, 5% Elastane. Found a black and a white version.

I’m wanting to buy a cosplay online but can’t understand what size I will need. I’m a UK size 16 in clothing (USA size 12) and UK foot size 4 (going with 5 for safety), (USA size 3 or 3.5). What size would I be and am I an L, XL or XXL
(And yes I am working on my weight my size is due to mental health issues)
