I don't know to what extent the problem is known, but in the case of Restore and Reactivation missions it's quite clear: if the status that triggers these missions (civil unrest, infrastructure failure, natural disaster) changes while the mission is still running, i.e. not yet completed, a whole range of strange things can happen. Not so funny is that the result is not only wasted time, for a mission that can no longer be completed, but also the corresponding consequences like 100000 cr penalty money and loss of reputation.
No big deal, you might think. But for nothing but a bug or a game design not thought through to the end? To make matters worse, these incidents are very difficult (if not impossible) to reproduce due to the nature of status changes. Moreover, it may not be easy to find a satisfactory solution. Perhaps the most obvious solution would be to guarantee all missions their natural time window. But that would mean not reacting directly to a status change which might be problematic for a multiplayer game.
Perhaps the best solution could be to announce the status change in good time and transparently, so that the player at least has the chance to assess whether he can still manage it by then. But first and foremost, FDev should be aware of this problem.
Since I don't believe in the issue tracker, especially for this kind of complicated problems, I don't have much hope.

The title says it all, what are a few ways and/or the best ways to get into the finance field?
I triple majored & earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice & Spanish. I went to college straight after high school & honestly, I didn’t know what I wanted to do but I just knew I wanted to go to college. I was a first gen college student so everything was new to me. Fast forward, I am 27 yrs old & realized that I want to change career fields. I did take finance courses my last year of college (I thought I had time to minor in it, goofy me lol) & I loved it! I also been doing research and I can definitely see myself in the Finance field.
I’m just a little confused on how I should approach. I do not mind going back to school either. Any advice? Thank you all!

White's 4.Bc4 in here looks like a natural developing move, targeting f7 and getting ready to castle. There is however a tactical trick Black has (4...Nxe4!) which has made masters shun away from 4.Bc4. For some history, we might mention that Tarrasch played this against Lasker in the 1916 World Championship, and was crushed.
If Black wants to accept a normal game, there is nothing particularly wrong with a natural developing move like 4...Bc5, but 4...Nxe4! is the best move in the position, and White is then fighting for equality.
In fact, below the master level, this position crops up very often. One online chess database (365chess) says that 4.Bc4 is played in one out of every five games featuring the Four Knights, and since most amateur games never make it onto that database, the real figure is probably higher. Larry D. Evans (see references below) says that his students wind up in this line about once a tournament.
Since 4.Bc4 is played so often, learning the theory on 4...Nxe4 will let you get many good positions with Black after only a few moves. With best play, White should probably equalize (according to Pinski's book on the Four Knights), but has to work a bit for it.

My daughter is 4, turning 5 on September 24. I've been a SAHM since she was born. My husband and I decided not to put her in pre-k at 3 because we didn't think she was ready. My district has a public pre-k that does everything including taking them to and from school by bus, but at the time we didn't think she would be able to sit down on the bus and she was also not completely potty trained so we thought it would be better to wait a year.
So this year we registered her for pre-k. The screening went really well, although the teacher said that she didn't answer all of the questions because she was too busy running around exploring the place. Comparing her to the other kids at the screening, we thought that she about matched their level we were both happy that we chose to wait a year.
This morning we got a call from the school saying that they reviewed her registration materials and determined she was too old. Their birthday cutoff is October, and they won't accept any child who turns 5 before that. They told me that I would have to enroll her in kindergarten, which for our address would be a whole different school.
There aren't any other state-funded/public pre-ks in our area that are accepting students. There is a private Montessori school but we can't afford it. While we don't think she's ready for kindergarten or a full week of school yet, we figured they could help us determine her readiness in the kindergarten screening and went ahead and called them. It turns out that the kindergarten screenings were finished in May. I was told we could still enroll her and that she would be screened in the fall after she starts school. I expressed that I wanted to have her screened first because I wasn't sure if she was ready, and was told that the principal would call me back.
I don't know how to move foreword from here. My only options are kindergarten or homeschool, and I'm not super confident in my ability to homeschool. I have major anxiety and have a hard time socializing, and I don't think I'll easily be able to provide her with the amount of socialization she needs as a homeschooled child. I could hold her back from kindergarten for a year, but I'm scared that the same situation will happen next year and she will be forced to start from first grade. So I guess I should just enroll her in kindergarten and hope for the best?
I feel like such a failure as a mom. I just wanted to do right by her by making sure that she started school when she was ready, but that decision only caused her to miss out.

Just picked up LF, and it took me no less than 12 tries to beat Kavauust solo, on Normal mode, and every single time was solely due to his (basically) one shot ability. Am I the best at FPS's? No, not even close, but I've been gaming since '85 and I think I'm every bit of Average. If Bungie wants to make the end game hard, I respect and expect that; More power to them. Powerful and Pinnacle should not be easy by any means. But your target audience for the CAMPAIGN should be gamers with average FPS skills, especially for the first mission.
If you're going to make a boss that can one shot you if he catches you, throws adds at you, has an enormous blast radius AND you're going to code him to basically stay on your heels for most of the fight, then it's bad game design and a disrespect of people's time in the campaign to send you back 5-10 mins in the map before you get back to him again.

(Ok so this is my first time doing one of these so bare with me)
So i was friends with a person named clove we didn’t have the best friendship they were cool for abit but kind of annoying tbh they’d do really stupid stuff I don’t agree with like sending “suggestive” pics to people who were minors (they were a minor too) but weird nonetheless but we would play games and stuff and everytime we would play they would be so annoying to me commenting on everything i did wrong or talk about themselves so much and eventually i just snapped at them and yelled at them they started crying and i felt bad so i apologized and everything was normal and randomly they ghost me and tell their friends bad things about me so i told their crush they liked them and clove leaks my phone number out and i see random people texting me and Harassing me over it than clove texts me and honestly at that point I really didn’t care for what they had to say.
1 day i was sick in my room and one of my friends told me clove said i was gonna sa one of their friends i tried to talk to them and they said “it’s obviously you and blocked me” so i was losing my cool at that point and I exposed one of their deepest secrets i wont say here for their privacy.
Tbh this happened like 2-3 years ago and i skimmed over alot of stuff that happened but honestly idk how to feel about everything that happened nor idk what to do to cope

Hey y'all, I've wanted to update my old keyboard for a long time and now I finally settled on a split ergo wireless keyboard. I already started designing it (wrapping my head around ergogen took some time), but I still have a few questions.

• I want the keyboard to have a USB dongle because I don't want to deal with BT issues and so I can set it up faster (plugging dongle in vs. pairing)
• Also I would really prefer if I don't have a connection between the 2 halves over 3.5mm f.e.
• Is it preferable to only use 2.4ghz instead of BT because of the delay, especially for someone who likes competitive games?

I saw many ways to achieve this but I can't decide which one is the best.

1. Use multiple nice!nanos with an USB Receiver (e.g. nRF52840) Q1: Is there more delay because you still use bluetooth to transmit to the receiver (or do you even still use BT then?)
2. Use 3 of those YJ-14015 modules (e.g. https://github.com/mattdibi/redox-keyboard/tree/masteredox-w) with a Pro Micro Q2: Is there a way to generate the PCB for this with ergogen or do I have to wing it in KiCad?

If there is any other solution pls let me know

I (female, 23) just started my first salary job 5 months ago. It is a job working in marketing for a Fortune 500 company. Yesterday evening, my city’s division had dinner meeting. At the meeting, mostly everyone drank and spent time discussing work but also personal lives, sports, etc. Most of attendees had a night booked at a hotel so that anyone who wanted to drink would not worry about driving. As the dinner was wrapping up, myself and 2 other young coworkers decided we wanted to go to one more bar before going to bed. As we were arranging this plan, an older coworker (male, around 50) asked if he could join us. We said it was fine and headed to the bar. As we were walking in, my ass was slapped two times. I had assumed it was my young female coworker since we are pretty comfortable with each other. We got drinks then the four of us sat down at a table. A few minutes later, the older coworker asked me if I could chat with him at another table, and I said that was fine. The first few minutes were ok, but then he suddenly asked, “would you want to fuck me?”. I said no and got up to go back to the original table. While I did this, my older coworker went to the restroom. I immediately told my two younger coworkers what happened and they said they watched him slap my ass two times on the way into the bar. I was shocked. At the same time, my older coworker was walking back to the table so I asked my younger female coworker to go to the restroom with me. For around 10 minutes we discussed the situation and decided the best course of action was just to leave the bar. As we were waiting for our Uber, my older coworker fell completely down out of drunkenness. My younger male coworker helped him up, then we got into an Uber that took us back to my apartment building (which is only one block from the hotel the three of them were staying at). When we got out, my older coworker assumed that we would go into my apartment building and into my apartment together. We all said no, but he was being persistent. So for safety, all four of us walked back to the hotel knowing that after my older coworker got to his hotel room, that I would be able to walk back to my apartment safely. I got home just after midnight and cried for about 30 mins before going to bed. This older coworker of mine has been with my company for 15+ years, and I’ve only worked here for 5 months. My direct manager is also an older male, and isn’t the type to understand the severity of sexual harassment in the workplace. In 5 months, I’ve had to complete two separate work harassment training modules, but I still feel as if if this incident was reported to HR that my side would not be taken, even with two witnesses. Do I just let the situation go and going forward avoid interactions with this coworker (who I do not see on a daily basis) or do I report it to HR? I want to choose whichever option has a neutral impact on my job and position within the company. I want to report it, but I feel as if all of my coworkers would hate me since my older coworker is loved by so many. Has anyone faced this same or a similar situation and has advice? I would be greatly appreciated!!

So, although a recent poll showed that the majority of people do not use third-party apps, we are still very proud to announce that, as a Mod team, we have made the decision to take part in the 48-hour temp privatizing of the subreddit from June 12th to June 14th. This means no one will be able to post within the subreddit for that time interval.
We are doing this as a way to show solidarity with those who will be more affected by the change, in particular Blind, who will have a third-party app that helps them take part in Reddit potentially ripped away from them for no good reason than corporate greed.
We will be back once the 48 hours are up, and I personally will not touch Reddit during this time period.
As I'm sure some of ye know from talking to me on Discord, I am very passionate about this community. In fact, I have been working on a sort of timetable for the subreddit to possibly follow regarding events during the upcoming few months, but at the end of the day, it's the people who make up the community, Reddit is just the app and is basically a main way of connecting, but it is not the be all and end all. Hopefully, once the Reddit staff see how their decision is going to affect them, they will reconsider. However unlikely that may be, at least TheCitadel can say that we tried to do our part.
We hope you can understand our position and will stand with us during this time. Hey hey, I live in Boulder county and just purchased my first project car! I picked up a 1989 BMW 325is from Arkansas last week, needs some work but super excited. Previous owner installed a catless performance exhaust with a resonator. It’s fully welded together, from header to muffler. Too loud for my tastes and am considering an OEM equivalent exhaust. What’s my best option for making this puppy emissions complaint?
Could I cut the pipe after headers, have a shop weld on a CARB cat (weld a flange on the other end if needed) and then just bolt on a catback exhaust?
Also, any recommendations on a trustworthy shop would be appreciated!

Please don't facetiously accuse me of coping with my undesired score, because I haven't actually received any score on a formal test. I only took the online mensa test and got 124 but apparently it's unreliable. I've made some observations reading pdfs of older mensa tests, saw Tibees iq test on youtube, and found lots of questions with solutions online which were derived from real iq tests.
I think IQ tests are inherently flawed, but newer revisions are making them more reliable to evaluate the scope of your abilities. Obviously older tests were biased against ethnic groups but that was corrected and such bias doesn't exist anymore so that's no reason to berate them. Some tests include vocabulary, which is biased because an intelligent person may be less interested in memorizing synonyms of words to expand their vocabulary than a less intelligent person. Apparently new tests are removing word problems which is great, so I can't complain about this bias.
IQ tests are measuring intelligence based off of pattern recognition and logical reasoning which is great, I think if you were to design an intelligence test that you couldn't study for, visual patterns would be ideal, which is where they are mostly headed.
The issue with this is that.... different people think differently, see different possibilities, solve things differently, and deduce answers differently. Lot's of matrix questions can have more than one answer or explanation for an answer, it just depends on how you look at it. The designer of a question could have created a sequence and decided the pattern they intended was the one correct answer, so it would be registered as the answer, and so selecting an option that follows a different logical pattern but not the registered pattern would render you "incorrect". Unlike math problems, which only have one solution, matrix problems are dynamic and so long as you can give reason as to why you chose your answer, it can't be wrong, since it's up for interpretation. People who design these questions are just people like you and me, they have a creative idea, decide one or several rules to the idea (this pattern will involve rotation of the exterior shape, the and number of dots inside the third box will be the result of calculating the dots in the first and second boxes using bedmas), yet someone could have recognized a different set of rules that abides by the pattern, which the creator did not intend.
Something my English teacher said to me which always stuck (I got 93 in ap English please don't make fun of me and say I'm coping) is that if something is not purely object then it's entirely subjective. So if there's no one definitive answer, then your answer makes sense so long as you explain your reasoning. There can be many solutions to problems so long as you express and support your reasoning. Some people simplify matrixes using fundamentals of math and precede from there, some people can use pure vivid imagination to move the components of the objects in the matrixes to see how they change, others will use trial and error asking "what if this happened, or if this happened then how would this happen" and just seek different possibilities like a little researcher.
This is why I think measuring intelligence using current IQ tests would be no different than if we evaluated intelligence by essay writing, in your native language. The resemblance is that the evaluator will usually be fixated on one ideal conclusion, refuting any other plausible solutions. In English, there is no one right answer, there are only reasonable answers, the bias is that teachers will only accept answers they agree with, which is similar to IQ tests. Many solutions which depend on perspective, but only one correct solution based on the creators perspective. If English teachers weren't so biased and dogmatic about their views, and deliberately fail people they don't like, then it could be a great opportunity to express your capabilities.
This seems like a contradiction but to recognize your true potential, language classes probably provide greater insight into your abilities because you're expected to recognize literary elements like metaphors and symbols in writing, explain where they are and how they're applied, why they're there. You have room to be creative but are also expected to explain your reasoning, you read a book, find the literary elements, find analogies, connect of dots of a novel, then create an essay with your own thesis and arguments which is correct, so long as the reasoning is supported.
I would also argue that how far you can excel in math is the best indicator of your intellectual capabilities, because there is always one answer. In math you can't be partially correct. If your answer is 3 but the real answer is 2, you completely messed up. It allows no accommodation for excuses and errors. Understanding the concepts of math, then applying them in word problems, using trigonometry to find the dimensions of a infrastructure, is all pure logic which cannot be debated unlike IQ matrixes.
This is just a useless thought I had; math class is pure logic and there is only one answer, whereas patterns can be interpreted differently. Therefore math exam>iq test. English exam involves recognizing literary elements and using creativity to yield an answer which must be supported whereas IQ tests don't allow you to be creative and support an alternative answer. Therefore, English exam> IQ test. I 100% believe there is a G factor, but I think how well you perform in math and literacy is a much better way if estimating it.
This is just my opinion, I'd love to hear yours. I'm always willing to be told I'm wrong and put in my place.

Can seraphine mains/otps suggest some potential builds for seraphine? I want to play her in the midlane as I want to learn how to play mid but I'm not sure how to build her midlane compared to support.
