2023.05.30 00:54 Eifer_und_Ehre Pathlite 7 or the Grand Canyon for mixed terrain.
Hi all! I almost pulled the trigger on a Canyon Pathlite 7 today but I froze when I saw that it has 45mm (~1.77") tires. Without riding one I think the Pathlite 7 is nearly my ideal one-bike solution for my mixed terrain route but I was hoping for a more supple cushion and traction when the surfaces get loose over my current 1.95" tire. So, hopefully a I can do a tire swap to something like a 29"x2.1" but I cannot find clearance information on it. Below is my story.
My use case would be an even mix of pavement to gravel to moderate trails that have roots, small gullies, and loose rocks ranging from golf ball to to baseball in size. This light-ish weight of 27lbs (12.24kgs) while still having a 75mm suspension fork helpful as I carry the bike up stairs after long uphill return ride. Endurance on the final return mile is key but trail comfort is too. Quick and smooth shifting without losing power approaching long and steep hills are two more reasons I'm interested in the Pathlite 7.
What I want is a "hybrid" mixed terrain bike that can be smooth and stable for efficient speed but with enough cushion on it so I don't have to slow to a crawl on the loose stuff or beating myself up. I also want to tackle this without wearing out the bike on the somewhat rough bits or having the tires deflate if I am not careful at certain trail sections.
What I am riding now has a 65mm suspension fork with a hard tail on 26" x 1.95" tires and if anything I was hoping to up the tire size to something like a 29" x 2.1" to 2.25". It also weighs about 33.3lbs (15.10 kgs).
I really like the feature/component set for the price on the Pathlite 7 ($1300) but I have no idea if I can fit a wider tire in the frame. Some other options I am considering but are not ideal under $1500 are the Grand Canyon 5 ($600) 31.15lbs (14.13kgs) as the comfort choice, the Pathlite 6 ($900) 28.00lbs (12.70kgs) as the value alternative if I think I am going to beat it up. I am also considering the Stoic 3 and 4 but their prices would stretch my budget and I am simply more familiar with the Shimano components on the Pathlite series.
For comparison I have parking lot tested the Trek Marlin 8 and Dual Sport 3 at my LBS which were only okay for the price. Also a cross country bike like Trek's X-Caliber 8 might be the type of thing I am looking for but again I am more familiar with the Shimano components and I really like the solid value that the Canyon Pathlite 7 offers.
Lastly, on Canyon's website there is a large price gap between the $600 Grand Canyon 5 and the $1,500 Stoic 3 and I keep spotting missing models on comparison websites. Is something like a Grand Canyon 7 missing because the it is possible that would be close to what I am looking for
Thank you in advance!

2023.05.30 00:53 Tvix /r/Imagineering Sidebar FAQ/Wiki - suggestions wanted!
Hi all, I'm interested in putting together a little FAQ/Wiki/Sidebar guide kinda thing. I don't know if we can get it on the sidebapinned (
AbsurdAstronaut) but at a minimum I wanted to make a post and keep it updated that people can refer to in the future.
What I want from you! Any suggestions and information you think would be useful - Interviews / old reddit posts / Themed entertainment organizations / Vendors / Information about Disney (Think first HR Interview) / etc. I'll format what I can into this guide/wiki/FAQ, and if nothing else a comment here might help someone out!
What I want to add: A spreadsheet of job descriptions, requirements, salaries, and when it was last posted (down below in Jobs) - because once a listing is taken down that information is gone. I'll try to keep it updated and add the old jobs I have saved (mostly creative/engineering). If you have any thoughts and suggestions please let me know.

2023.05.30 00:52 stevexc Weekly Song Spotlight #462: "Smoke Two Joints" by Sublime
Let me know if there are survey issues!
Introduction
The song spotlight is a recurring topic on this subreddit, where every week we will feature a different song included in the game or its DLC and discuss things like how to play its different riffs, techniques to focus on and more casual things like some interesting trivia or the artist's other work. Finally we'll conclude with a score attack challenge, a random entrant of which will be offered to choose the next song. Further discussion tends to occur over on the subreddit discord so head over there for that.
The format will change depending on feedback and participation, so don't hesitate to send suggestions myself or the mods in general.
Next Up For Delisting
We're done for RS1! I guess we'll know by October what's happening with RS2014 and its DLC...
This Week: "Smoke Two Joints" by Sublime
Next week's Poll
Poll

Score Attack Challenge
Submit your score attack results by filling out this google form and including your score and a screenshot of the results screen you see after your playthrough. A readable photo of your screen is fine too. The form will need to be completed for each submission.
Scores will be included at the bottom of next week's spotlight divided based on the difficulty level (you can play any difficulty you'd like) and are tracked separately for lead, rhythm and bass.
A random entrant will get to pick next week's song!
Scores can be submitted until Monday, June 5th at 17:00 UTC.

2023.05.30 00:51 Aggressive-Most9402 Golf legal advice needed:
| 12 tee today, tried to hit around the corner and hit it off the toe. Sliced right and hit a car parked in the driveway marked here. Guy was in the driveway, obviously angry. I begrudgingly exchanged information. My question: am I liable for the two small dents on his vehicles? Or should the course have insurance to cover it? Or would home owners insurance cover it? 2023.05.30 00:51 mizzoutiger1118 Looking to go to first CFL game this summer, could use advice
So to preface, I am an American now living in North Dakota, less than three hours from Winnipeg. I am hoping to go there when we play them on July 20th.
My questions are: What is the best place and time to get tickets? Do I have to go through ticketmaster or is there some other way--also would I be better off to buy tickets now or wait until later?
Would I be able to pay for parking in usd or with a credit card? I know each stadium could be different but as a whole what is that like for CFL stadiums?
Thanks!

2023.05.30 00:50 OldAbbreviations7361 2023 Rear glass shakes/shudders when opening.
Hey guys curious if anyone else has had this issue. When I’m opening my rear glass it gets about half way down and then audibly shudders if I’m parked I can feel my seat vibrate. Then it just lowers the rest of the way no problem and doesn’t have the same issue when closing.

2023.05.30 00:49 Ambitious_Gear7263 Can they press any sorts of charges on me?
I (24M) was playing cricket with my dad using a professional season ball (season ball is as hard as a professional baseball). I threw the ball and it ricocheted off the bat into the neighbors lawn. He had a car parked on the street, the ball rolled under the car and into his lawn. He saw this and came out outside. There was absolutely no notice as the ball didn’t even come in contact with the car. He asked, “is that a hard ball? I said, “yes it’s a hard cricket ball” He asked, “did it hit my car?” I said, “nope” He said, “okay I have my brother in law on the phone” I said, “okay, the ball didn’t even touch your car” Other notes: The ball is red in color and is wearing off which is leaving a red color whenever it touches anything at a speed of more then 5mph I reside in Michigan(i don’t know if that has any impact). About 30 minutes after we had gone inside, he drove off somewhere with that same car and 15 minutes later came back. Car looks the same as it was and he parked it in the driveway this time. This same neighbor is having issues with the association of the subdivision because he has built farming arrangements and association wants him to remove it because they don’t match requirements (unfortunately I don’t know much about it, just happened to hear it from some people at a gathering)

2023.05.30 00:47 nickle-and-dime Update: idiot crashed into my GT last year, but I managed to get GR. 😁😁😁
| So back in November last year, the village idiotcrashed into a parks, MX5 and my 2019 GT 86. Anyway, just thought I’d post an update. I after a lot of arguing with the insurance managed to get a good valuation etc and have put in a little more money. I’ve got the GR. H*ly sh!t. The new car has exceeded all of my expectations, and again the platform has taught me something. The GT taught me the fun of rear wheel drive, balancing the car, and that by comparison, just speeding in a straight line was relatively dull witted. It is what the GT should have been. It feels like they added the last secret ingredient. The GR has reminded my love of cars, the symphony of design & engineering, playing & getting to play with physics. submitted by nickle-and-dime to ft86 [link] [comments] |

My husband and I are planning a trip for later in the year and would like to go to another Sandals (we went to Negril 2 years ago). We are wondering, first, experiences at Royal Bahamian, and second, whether anyone hear has made a day trip or two to Atlantis for the water park? If so, is it close? How were the logistics of getting transportation back and forth? Or should we plan to stay at Atlantis for a night to two then transfer to Sandals? All reccs appreciated!

2023.05.30 00:44 Ok-Guard7317 DJS Experience- 10 Days Post Op- Tips/Tricks
| Progress -1 week Progress 10 days Hey everyone— 10 days post-op DJS— wanted to share my progress pics and tips/tricks that worked for me and answer any questions you all have. Thankful for this community and for all the stories shared here— really helped me in preparation and in recovery <3 <3 <3. Procedures: Lefort Type 1 Reconstruction of Midface, Reconstruction of Ramus of Mandible by Sagittal Split Osteotomy with Internal Rigid Fixation. I did it New York at Mt. Sinai with Dr. Andrew Kim. Saw about 8 surgeons over 8 year period before selecting him and deciding to go forth with the procedure. I am 10 days post op and so glad I did it. I am already feeling great, the swelling is way down, pain is very manageable — and I have high energy levels and am walking and socializing with ease. Tips and tricks that have worked for me: - Supplements: Bromelain, Tumeric, arnica, daily probiotic, white willow bark (pain management) (all immediately post op), as well as matcha pills, green tea (for antioxidants), magnesium, vitamin b, pique elderberry packets and super lysine (for immune support)
- Ice and heat: ice for pain management, heat for swelling - ice using ice masks, full head wrap, and ice roller throughout the day and heat compress 2x a day (30 minutes). I found that the majority of my swelling quelled around day 6.
- Daily epsom salt baths to boost circulation as well as 4 miles of walking a day. 2 days post op I started taking short walks throughout the day. I also got a lymphatic drainage massage pre-op and plan to do 2 more about a month post-op to help with immune support/healing.
- Skincare products: arnica skincare products (I used alpyn beauty juneberry and collagen hydrating creme cleanser and alpyn beauty plant genius melt moisturizer) to helped with bruising.
- Diet: fresh pressed green juice (celery, ginger, etc.), coconut yogurt on empty stomach daily (for gut support), bone broth (for collagen), green tea, boiled sweet potato/carrot/broccoli mash, soups, smoothies, chia seed pudding, yogurt, mashed banana/berries, popsicles, ice cream. I find that after a week or so I could eat majority of foods if I cut it up small enough - have been eating pasta, curries, sweet breads, etc.
- Bowel support: for the first 4-5 days post-op, I used colase, mag-8, miralax, and psyllium husk (fiber supplement) but phased that out as soon as I was able to incorporate more fiber into my diet (carrots, broccoli). I now only use matcha and psyllium husk for bowel support
- Jaw buddy: I also found someone online who had a similar date to mine and we have been supporting each other throughout pre/post-op. It has been a total game changer to have someone to talk to who his also going through it- very comforting. I also talked to people before my surgery who had done the surgery prior which was also very helpful in getting good tips/tricks and making me feel more confident in my decision. Highly recommend leaning on your community and getting good family/friend support when you can!
Overall- days 5/6 were the toughest for me pain wise and then I turned a corner and started to readily improve in terms of pain, swelling, and overall quality of life. I found that early on I was able to talk comfortably and I started lightly socializing on day 7 (farmers market, parks, friends). In general- this is a tough procedure but after the first week it starts to become a lot more manageable and I am feeling great and excited to keep improving. Attached progress and let me know if any questions. submitted by Ok-Guard7317 to jawsurgery [link] [comments] |

2023.05.30 00:43 sanelygreat Parking the car outside low-emission zone
Hi all, so I'm gonna be staying in Stuttgart for a few weeks this summer, and I'm coming by car, and I have a problem: due to the car being Euro 5 diesel, I can't get into the city with it. So I'm planning to leave it parked outside the low-emission zone and get a taxi or S-Bahn from there to the city center. My question is: where would be a good place to leave it? (I'm coming from the south). Any ideas for a cheap long term parking place, that's also easy to access? (It's kind of a longer car)
