I love dating people to simply put it, I love looking at a girl's eyes and kissing their lips, but I hate hook-up culture. It is not for me, but I feel like I am obligated to sleep with a girl to take things further, especially when it comes to dating outside of my race, I'm a charming guy by nature, so most of the time, the girls really want to take things back home, but after it, I just feel so emotionless and cold, like I lose a part of myself. And the thing is, if you refuse it, women act more differently and distant. It is like I am considered weird for not having sex with someone on the first date.

I love having sex but for me, it is much more, I can only really enjoy it when I have a connection with a girl or if we have known each other for quite a while. I'd rather just wank-off honestly, my body count is relatively getting higher, which I am not too worried about. Dating culture is what I love though, because it grants me the opportunity to get to know someone more, I always learn new skills and ideas about the world, because a lot of women like to talk about what is on their minds, aside from that the tension of infatuation is also what I love, and I really love kissing and holding hands with a girl that I am enamored with.
I might just be a different guy, but I don't think that hook-up culture is for me, I hope that dating culture distances itself with hook-up culture, sexual compatibility is important, but there are a lot more ways to see it like through verbal foreplay. Hooking-up feels more of like a chore for me, but sex with a girl that I really like just feels like I am on Cloud 9.

The front runner is a twice impeached former one term president who many consider in the running for worst president in modern history. Since being literally forced out of office, he has dealt with near constant scandals ranging from the outfall of his attempts to overturn the 2020 election, to attempts to hoard classified documents at his home, to being found guilty in a sexual assault civil suit, to attempts to impede multiple investigations, all culminating in a recent criminal indictment. He’s brash, divisive, insensitive, and his base is largely comprised of a cult like set of devout followers who see him as America’s savior.
In a distant second place is a free speech absolutist and culture warrior who has recently made the news for passing legislation that banned discussion of anything related to LGBTQ people in schools until the fourth grade and removed books deemed “inappropriate” by parents from school libraries until they could be vetted by a state expert for age appropriate content. Not very free speech if you ask me, but I understand wanting to protect children from things they won’t fully understand until they are a bit older. He also regularly fights with Disney because he views their recent content as “woke”. While much of the outrage around the “Dont Say Gay” bill and the “Book Banning Bill” is hyperbolic in that enforcement of the vaguely written laws has been sparse, and while Disney has put out some shit movies recently, many see his legislation as disrespectful, inflammatory, and pointless. To the LGBTQ community, they see it as a reduction of their existence from normal people to perverse sexual deviants whose mere existence is dangerous to the minds of children. Some school libraries have had all their books, every single one, removed pending a review. Textbooks have also been rewritten to downplay the atrocities of white Americans against native Americans and black Americans so as to comply with the stipulation that no educational material can exist to make people feel bad about things members of their race did in the past.
In third (imo) is Mike Pence, perhaps the most accurate depiction of the midwestern white Christian American man archetype in history and the former VP of Trump. Pence ended his time as VP running for his life on as a crowd of angry Trump supporters chanted “hang Mike pence”. Pence comes across as a stoic man of high character, but will have to campaign to people who literally tried to kill him only 3 years ago. He will also have to differentiate himself from Trump while also convincing trumps base that he did not sell trump out on Jan 6th and that they should vote for him.
Then you have Nikki Haley, arguably one of the most successful and accomplished American female conservative politicians alive. She has executive, legislative, and diplomatic experience. She is far right enough to appeal to Trump and Desantis voters, Christian enough to appeal to pence voters, southern enough to have a real chance at winning Georgia and North Carolina, and as of right now she doesn’t stand a snowballs change in hell.
Bonus shoutout to Tim Scott, who credits much of his life success to the fact he was a virgin until he got married. He doesn’t have a chance either but I thought that was funny.
With this much time left it’s impossible to say who has a real chance and who is going to fizzle out. I still think Trump has the inside lane, and I think Desantis and Haley have good odds of being VP picks once he does win but who knows.

Some background: We've been dating now for around 2 years. I graduated college at 22 and moved from State A to State B (11 hour drive, no family there for either of us). I got a job there to pair with her job as a flight attendant at that city's major airline hub. She grew homesick and wanted to move closer to family after about a year, so I spoke with my boss and was able to work out a remote work arrangement for the same office - I've been with that company since May 2022 and working remote since April, upon which time we moved in with her parents back in the same metro we grew up. Note that while her family is right here on the west side, my family and friends are all 1 hr+ away on the east side (60-70 miles) so it's been difficult to see them aside from weekends. I've already missed out on a lot I would have typically done with my friends.
Now, 2 people on my team of 5 either "resigned" or were outright terminated. While I don't think my job is in jeopardy and my managers have corroborated as such, I'm trying to keep my options open. One of those ways I want to keep my options open is to stay relatively close to the major city in our region. Well, with her airline's policy on commuting, long story short it's made more sense for her to drive to the next major city (currently around 2:05 drive away) instead of flying standby out of our airport to get to work (35 min drive + airport + flight time).With lower seniority in this base as compared to the old one in State B, super commuting has made her super cranky and she takes it out on me. She admits as such but instead of apologizing, she simply excuses it as normal. The solution, in her view, is to not only move closer to that airport but to BUY A HOUSE closer to that airport. One town she mentioned is still 1:53 away. Now, I'd possibly be willing to rent there, but I don't want to live my whole life in a place so far away from my friends and family. Where we are living currently is bad enough - an amicable compromise to both of us in that regard would be to live a little farther east so that we're 35-45 mins from both of our families and friends. To boot, I'd be closer to the city in the event should I need to commute to a new job's office, up to 5 days a week - I would not have the same luxury in the town she spoke about. I work in a sales-driven, high turnover industry to begin with.
Last night I finally lashed out on her a bit but I was finding her nitpicking about every little thing and taking things out on me I didn't deserve and frankly I let it go on too long. I know for a fact I communicated my boundaries politely several times, but she kept pushing. After moving to and from State B, one of the selling points that finally got me on board for the return trip was that we could be closer to family. Well, I can't if she wants to move. And I have no interest in being marooned on an island with someone who - even when she's only at home ~50% of the week - has a pattern of treating me this way when work is stressful or she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. My hope is that she gains seniority to aid in scheduling favorable trips, or the airline changes their policy to guarantee commuters a seat on a flight. Until either of those things ease up, I'd entertain the idea of RENTING closer to where she wants but I absolutely do not want to be there long term.I feel like I've sacrificed a ton already in the couple years we've been dating, but it feels like she just keeps taking.
tl;dr: Gf wants to move farther west to be closer to super commute, my family is way east. Moved to and from State B (11 hr drive one way) on her whims in the time we've been dating, and the major reason we came back is to be closer to friends & family. Currently working remote but there's been a lot of turnover there and the majority of job opportunities will be farther east toward the city center, not west. Looking for advice for the fairest compromise or anything else that can be offered. Thanks!

Humans are not loved by God. It’s impossible. We are so disgusting. We are the most vile and awful creatures to exist. Completely impure and sickening. We are the disappointing children of our creator. Who’s hate for us is so justifiable we can not complain about natures judgement on us when we are taken from this world. We are not carried by angels or dragged down into hell. We belong nowhere as we will plague and plunder anywhere that we reside.
We have rebelled against nature. Destroyed the homes of our neighbours, human or not. We have flooded the seas with our filth. Manipulated nature to burn down it’s ancient forests. Infested miles upon miles with concrete, stone, metal and plastic. Eradicated species upon species not solely due to greed, but because we think it to be fun to hunt and kill. Truly an anomaly to mother nature, the greatest pest that exists. If the earth and oceans weren’t enough, we took to the skies and created huge abominations that pollute and poison the air that every living thing needs to survive. Burning fuel taken from the ground to be used for our convenience. We slaughter animals by the mass and knowingly consume more than we need, seeing gods’ creatures not out of love or their age, but by the meat on their bones. We destroy habitats for these creatures for sanitary products and luxuries, or to construct more man-made structures that only cause further poisoning and destruction. We are so evil that I struggle to even put it in to words to make you understand.
When we are born, we are born pure. We are psychologically free, no memories or experiences. No pain from the world, no suffering. Just you and the endless wonder of the journey that awaits. Ignorance is bliss. Then you start to grow and become aware. You either grow sheltered to the world or experience the pain first hand. Children are the purest form of life. They have nothing to regret or worry about. Life for them is genuinely blessed. To take that away from them is evil. So unbelievably evil and treacherous. To hurt or abuse a child in anyway or teach them wrong or evil morals is the worst thing you could do. Tormenting and controlling an innocent child’s mind, taking their whole life away from them to where they will never recover and will remember that forever. Feeling that fear whenever that thought crosses their mind. Or how children are forced into crime to survive is the devils doing. Some may call this character development or just “life”. It’s truly evil. So evil in fact that we deserve the worst. Our societies have normalised this for thousands of years. We can never get it right because of our ambitions to rule and have power. Surely, we must be the most blood thirsty and sociopathic animals to ever exist. Only thinking of ourselves. Once you realise that we have no place in the universe, the pain is so immense. It’s not that which bothers me. What bothers me is that we, as intelligent life, use our intelligence in all the wrong ways. What is the point of our intelligence if we don’t think. Instead, we are evil because the thrill feels good. The pain of the world is too much if we don’t have something that’s wrong to fill that hole.
It is impossible for us to repent. I will never change. I accept that I am evil. I am so incredibly evil as a human. We play with instruments of death for fun. We constantly design and develop new weapons and sell them to others that will use them to kill god’s creations. Even I get excited about these things. I itch to hurt others, but it hurts me that I feel that way. We constantly look for reasons to kill and destroy. We are so evil. Where did we go wrong? At what point in history did we become this way. Why did we evolve to use our intelligence in such disgusting ways. We are so far away from nature that we can even produce our own biological weapons and chemical neurotoxins. We can create life as easily as we can take it away. We can modify ourselves unnaturally with lab synthesised hormones or prosthetics. What child should ever have this thought cross their mind? Our societies have pushed us to this. Evil spreads through us through the societal pyramid. Most of us will not understand what I am saying. How could you abuse a child. Tell me how you could do that to new life. What is wrong with us. The word “evil” has completely lost it’s meaning. We will never change. We can’t even be intelligent life anymore because we are so cruel. Intelligent life should be kind and loving to all. With no conflict. As long as one of us is evil, then none of us are intelligent. We will never change.
We need to be saved and we need to learn how to love again. Humans, the most intelligent form of life on Earth, which is doomed to destroy it.

I have a fifteen year old son. I transitioned when he was eight. This week I reclaimed my role as his father…I hope you understand what I mean.
Since I transitioned I’ve been afraid of the word father. Afraid of being seen as a father, being gendered by my fatherhood. Afraid of being my father. Afraid of how I hear his voice when I get angry. Afraid of how his mannerisms creep into my behavior.
I used to mimic my dad. He was my male role model. I mimicked the good and I mimicked the bad. I’d spend two weeks with him and I’d come home walking and talking like him. My mother hated it.
When I’d argue with my wife I’d see my dad come out in me. He’s where I learned to argue with women.
So naturally that’s all behavior and mannerisms I do my best to avoid in my current gender presentation.
But in doing so I’ve handicapped myself as a parent. I’ve cut myself off from the tools a father uses to communicate with a son.
Because as scary as my dad was when I was little, he also went on to become a better man and better father when he moved away to Alaska when I was six. Something up there changed him and he was generally a benevolent if neglectful presence in my life.
At any rate. I have my father’s voice in my body and I realize now that it doesn’t threaten my gender if I use that voice.
I had a conversation with my son yesterday that he needed to hear. He’s a young man who is growing up and he needs his father to guide him. It’s not about the word itself, I’m always going to be Robyn to him, and it’s not the sound of my voice, it’s the tone and intention. I’ve never had a conversation like that with my son and I think we’ll both remember it forever. I hope so.
It’s an attitude adjustment that I can make because I realize now it doesn’t really matter if I‘m perceived as masculine sometimes.

My wife is selfish and toxic but really smart and educated. We almost divorced beginning of this year because of false police call after argument and a lot of lies I found out about. We decided to "work on it" and I'm staying so far I have no savings because everything I made over the last 7 years I invested in marriage and future together :wedding, brand new cars, house in long Island, renovations for 300K that I did myself because I'm a contractor so more like 450K if I was getting paid for my work and two kids ages 2 and 5. I know she loves the kids and want them to have a father but a lot of times I get a read from her behavior that she's doing it for her convenience and what I mean by that is that we're both slaves of our wealth (lifestyle inflation) we both make a lot but that comes with a lot of hours away from home and kids. I'm a contractor and I'm the boss so I get the privilege to control my schedule as needed with kids and family life. If I divorce her most likely she wouldn't be able to keep this life style without me even with high salary because the bills are really high together with the child care and she's getting back from office at 7:30 pm most of the days. so I take care of the kids before she comes back and she takes care of them in the morning because I leave early. I get this feeling that she's plotting behind my back and is just trying to wait it out until kids get a little bigger and expanses lower to get rid of me. I started to set some money aside for myself but it is nothing when you have 1.4 mil already invested into this toxic relationship. I found out she lied to me a lot over the years from her messages and emails and since I confronted her about some of them she figured out where I got the info. So now she's very private and always keeps her phone with her even after stating that she wants me in her life and will never lie to me again. She walks far away from me to answer calls from her friends and even when I wanted to look at the pictures she took of me with the kids on a trip she sat there every time making sure I only look at the pictures and nothing else. I found out that she settled for me because I was the best choice and not because of love and she was talking to friend about divorcing me once the kids are bigger 3 years ago even that we only had one kid at the moment and that she was still in love with her toxic ex year after we got married and many more lies that I didn't know about until she couldn't hide her real personality anymore and made that Police Call when she exploded in argument. Until then I never spayed on her for years and always trusted her My question is how do I protect myself from being played and used if that's the case? Is there any way maybe like an app or something that I can get on her phone to find out she's not plotting against me and plying a game behind my back?

Okay so my last post was a bit too vague i suppose. Thats on me!
I am looking for any and all advice you are willing to offer to me. What is the cheapest but best packing products youve experienced? What are some good tips on fitting everything into a carry on and personal item, or should i just go with a check bag? Or do all three? Anything random tidbit you would recommend?
Some context: I will be traveling from USA to UK for 3 weeks. Im going to be visiting my gf and her family, staying in a caravan (its a mobile home but they kept calling it a caravan). Ive never flown outside of the US before and the one time i was on a plane i was like 7 and it was for a wedding in Vermont so my experience with travel has never really reached out of the state i live in.
I can imagine we will be walking around a lot, i already have a small messenger bag i take with me everywhere that i use as a purse so that is the only piece of luggage i have atm. The trip is two months from now so i dont have too many detail on what we will be doing but there has been talk of going to the beach, aquarium, museums, and restaurants. There is apparently a washer and dryer so i assume i should pack for like a week and a half and reuse my clothes, yeah?
Im really just looking for tips and advice in general, sorry for the confusion in my last post. Lmk what else im missing and ill try to fill it in in the comments.

I have a 8 month old cat at home. My job wants me to travel out of state for work. I would be gone for a 2-3 days. I don't live with anyone so my cat would be home alone. What is the option out of the following?

1. Cat sitter to stop by 15-30 mins at the 2 day mark. Cons is it is expensive and they won't see them for long.
   
2. Leave alone there and try to make it back ASAP. I would leave him the auto feeder and a clean litter box for 2 days.
   
3. Drop off with my mom to take care of him. I worry that he will get a lot of anxiety being in an unfamiliar place.

As they delve into the family's dark history, they discover a generations-old pact with a vile hag that drives Silveria’s economy.

The Curse of Ravensilver Manor
The Premise Sarena Silveria, the firstborn daughter and heir of Ravenwood Enterprisesf has gone missing in the Whispering Grove. She is the daughter of Lady Isabella Silveria, the wealthiest gnomish businesswoman in town and the locals have searched but dare not go near the corrupted wood. Sarena is eleven years old. The townsfolk quickly whisper of the curse that haunts Lady Isabella’s family.
Your players are retained to investigate the Whispering Grove and will discover the haunted Ravensilver Manor. They will learn that this curse is tied to a generations-old pact with a vile hag, upon which the gnome’s wealth is based; as long as the family wishes to remain wealthy, they must send their first-born into a lifetime of decrepit servitude before they reach the age of twelve.
Clues and Red Herrings 1. Sarena’s diary. A cryptic snippet describes this detail of the pact: “...every firstborn shall be given over to serve…” and "...the tears of elves can break the spell." It alludes to a hidden room.

1. The family portrait. A faded paining shows a rough looking gnomish family in fine clothes, standing infront Ravensilver Manor under construction. It has a father, a mother, and four children, one of which turns out to be Grey Gregor.
   
2. An old letter from Grey Gregor to Isabella reveals a family feud about money that arose from the pact, leading to conflicting motivations among family members.
   
3. Isabella hides a torn page from a spellbook, which holds an incantation that could potentially break the curse.
   
4. A secret passage reveals a hidden room containing a cauldron connected to the entity, providing a clue to the entity's true nature.
   

Red Herring 1: A ghostly apparition frequently seen in the manor's corridors, creating the impression of a vengeful spirit, turns out to be a bored fey creature that delights in sacring the local children.
Red Herring 2: A suspicious forest hermit called Qualem with a shady past - he deals in shoric (drug) - who may appear guilty but is ultimately unrelated to the curse, but uses the Ravenwood Manor as a place to stash his wares.
Suspects or People of Interest 1. Lady Isabella, the matriarch of the family, who holds valuable information about the pact but hides a dark secret. 2. Broke Bertrand, Lady Isabella's estranged brother, who seeks to break the curse for personal redemption. 3. Miss Margaret, a distant relative with a deep interest in the family's secrets, who wishes to take over the family business from Isabella. 4. Grey Gregor, the outcast uncle of this wealthy family who lives a normal life, not benefitting from the family’s wealth, and has researched ways to break the curse. He dotes on Sarena, and is distraught she is missing. 5. Roderick, the enigmatic family butler with a connection to the original pact, who guards his loyalty and motivations closely. 6. Qualem the forest hermit and shoric dealer. (Red Herring) 7. Awz, the cheeky fairy who delights in pretending to be a ghost to frighten people who explore the Ravenwood.
Description of Ravensilver Manor (Primary Location)
Ravenwood Manor stands as an imposing structure, its once-grand facade now marred by time and neglect. The tall, arched windows reflect the moonlight, casting eerie shadows on the overgrown gardens. The interior holds darkened corridors, creaking floorboards, and faded tapestries depicting the family's storied past. The air is heavy with a sense of melancholy, and ghostly whispers seem to echo through the hallways.
Description of a Secondary Location Nearby Ravensilver
The Whispering Grove, a dense forest surrounding Ravensilver Manor, is a place of ethereal beauty. Ancient trees with gnarled branches intertwine, creating a canopy that filters the sunlight. Soft whispers seem to ride on the wind, carrying the secrets of the manor. Moss-covered stones, hidden clearings, and babbling brooks add to the mystique of the grove. It is rumored that the grove holds ancient artifacts and hidden rituals that might aid in breaking the curse.
The resolution of this mystery The party will discover clues and realise that Isabella’s wealth is tied to the curse. They will also learn that the reason Isabella want Sarena back, is because she is poised to be sent to the hag for service, or else the hag will punish the family and they will lose everything. They will find that Sarena in the Whispering Grove in search of an ancient elven artefact, that she believes could break the curse. There are several potential endings for you to consider once the party has all the clues and has found Sarena, which can be summarized as: they either side with Isabella and condemn Sarena to a life fo service to the hag, or they side with Sarena and help her break the curse, destroying the source of the family’s wealth.

I wish to be more specific and add context to an earlier post I deleted. Many in the comments made HUGE assumptions and frankly, it was infuriating.
A person who is merely a former co-worker was traveling through my state on her way to another destination. She texted me, saying she'd be in my area on a certain date, and would like to "catch up, hang out, maybe stay the night." It has been five years since we last worked together, but since I know what it's like to travel with limited funds, I acquiesced.
The date she was supposed to arrive, I texted, asking if she needed my address, thinking she'd be on the road. "I hurt my back and got a late start, so it will be tomorrow before I can be there," her text came back. "Also, I hope it's okay, I'm traveling with my cat."
I don't keep pets, but, I saw no way to say, "No. Your cat is not welcome."
Does anyone see where this is leading?
So, she arrives a day later, cat in tow. No problem. Except she keeps me awake the entire night getting up and making noise and generally disturbing the peace. The next morning, over coffee, she starts in with crocodile tears and complaining about getting old and out of shape (she's 39, I'm 52. Call me in 13 years about your age, and see if I'm still here). She proceeded to tell me her weight gain was the result of a long drinking binge because she was depressed by the death of one of our co-workers, and was THUS the cause of her hurting her back. Bullshit. She was the same exact size last time I saw her. She hurt her back trying to move heavy base plates by herself. That had NOTHING to do with binge drinking or Jake's death. I had enough, by then. It was a case of pure narcissistic manipulation. Unwillingness to take responsibility for one's own actions is textbook narcissism. So, when I pointed out Jake dying had nothing to do with her pulling base plates by herself, she started yelling at me about how I wasn't listening.
I am gravely ill with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. I have PCM (protein calorie malnutrition) and am literally starving to death. I accommodated both her and her pet, when my instinct told me not to. Then, here she was, bemoaning weight gain to a starving person. That's like showing an ingrown toenail to an amputee, in my book. Tone deaf as fuck.
The lessons here are:
1) Listen to your intuition. Yes, I know, we often think we are somehow gaslighting ourselves, but REALLY, we have to trust our instincts.
2) Set boundaries early and adjust as needed. DO NOT let people walk all over you.
3) "No" is a complete sentence. You are under no obligation to explain why you are not interested or willing to do a thing. One of the things this visitor had the nerve to tell me is, "I never put myself in a position where I have to take 'no' for an answer." True dat, honey.
I know everyone is the hero in their own story, but really?
She left without apologizing for yelling at me in my own home. I bet she thinks I'm just awful, but the door is no longer open for her.
I will work harder to set boundaries in the future, but my short-term fix is going to be a "no visitors" policy. The stress of chronic illness and the uncertainty of cirrhosis is enough to keep my peace out of balance. No need inviting more stress.

I used to be a cop from 2017-2020, that’s also the same amount of time my marriage lasted. My ex-husband and I were high school sweet hearts, and we got married after he graduated from basic training for the USARMY. We relocated to another state and started our life on base. Shortly after we relocated, my Ex was sent on a 9 month deployment. Feeling lonely and wanting to do something with my life, I became an Officer. I went through the academy and graduated top of my class. I finished FTO and was sent off on my own. In the last few months of his deployment, I started to notice a shift in my personality and behavior towards others. Not knowing how bad it was considering I went home to an empty bed every night, I guess I didn’t care enough. Months this went on, until my ex came home. First night back, as couples usually do after a long time apart, we tried to well you know. But I didn’t want him touching me, I guess I felt weird about it. We would do it on occasion but with other complications it turned into something that rarely happened. About a year went by and my ex abruptly cornered me in the bathroom and a pretty harsh argument about my behavior started. I shrugged him off and said I was fine and that I just wanted to be alone. The entire time we fought, I never saw how destroyed the job made me. It turned me into someone I didn’t recognize and only years later am I fully aware of how horrible the job was, how I never took my mental health serious and how PTSD plagued my life. My ex and I divorced in 2020 (start of the pandemic) after he admitted to cheating and I quit my job and moved across the country. It’s been 3 years since I left that profession and I have had a great amount of therapy in the mean time, and I remarried and had my first baby. A large chunk of me still thinks I don’t deserve the life I have, because of the nightmares I have and how much I struggle to blend in with crowds. Depression is a real monster and it will swallow you if you don’t take care of it…thanks for reading.
