How does bus clustering get this bad?
There is a 30 minute wait time for the next 53 Steeles bus. There are going to be 5 other buses following it within the next 4 minutes. How does the bus clustering get this bad? I take this route regularly and I noticed that between 4:00pm and 4:30pm is when there is always a long wait for this bus and clustering happens.
I understand that it may be rush hour, and there may be traffic or collisions that slow down the first bus which allow the other buses to keep up. I just feel that 6 buses coming all at the same time is too much. I have seen the 53 Steeles bus leave from Finch Station before and sometimes I see them leaving all together.
Does anyone know how or why this happens, and why it seems that particular routes are more prone to this? Are drivers intentionally piggy-backing? What could the TTC do to solve this?

2023.06.10 22:34 I-Eat-Raw-Chicken Train of PTSD

I had a thought, Tanjiro’s and Inosuke’s first time on a train was a fucking train wreck (pun intended). Like just imagine they get on a train in later life, sweat probably drops down to their balls just from being on a station. Inosuke probably believes on every train trip a Rengoku dies. Tanjiro gonna get his slayer mark from resisting his children dragging him onto a train. Tanjiro just not even being able to sleep, even if it is like an 8 hour train ride. Inosuke just starts slapping random people cos they look not even close to Akaza or Enmu, basically just a reason to slap people. Poor kids man.

2023.06.10 22:30 TheToastIsHot Advice on building an airtight enclosure for Resin Printing

Hello,
I currently own 2 Anycubic resin printers and a wash and cure station that I would like to build an airtight enclosure in my garage for. I was planning on using some dryer duct, 200mm fans, and some filters to vent the fumes out the side of my garage so I don't gas myself (like I did the first time I used them lol).
I was wondering if anyone had some advice on materials to build said enclosure out of that won't break the bank. I first considered wood or MDF, but I read that these materials are probably too porous for my needs. I do have access to a laser cutter, so acrylic and other plastics are theoretically possible, just quite expensive.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

2023.06.10 22:23 Kimfun23 My review of avatar: the way of water

Avatar: The Way of Water James Cameron returns to direct Avatar: The Way of Water, with returning performances from: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Michelle Yeoh. Other cast includes: Kate Winslet from Titanic, Cliff Curtis from the Meg franchise, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion from Avengers: Endgame, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, and Jamie Flatters.
Years after Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) decided to stay on Pandora with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), they are once again threatened. Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) wants to kill Sully for betraying him during the last fight for Pandora.
I liked the first Avatar movie, it had action, beautiful visuals, and a touching message. Even though this film had action and beautiful scenes, I didn’t like it as much as the first, due to the story being similar to the previous.
Just like the last film, there is lots of action. Once again the Navi people have to leave their home for somewhere new. In doing so, they have to learn how to survive with the Metkayina clan. They teach the Navi to hold their breath underwater for long periods of time. I liked all the underwater animals. Friendship develops between Lo’ak and Payakan, I found this sweet, since they are both outcasts.
Cinematographer Russell Clapenter and director James Cameron did an excellent job creating beautiful scenes in and out of the water. They used a technique called performance capture, which means all the underwater scenes were filmed underwater, with everyone involved having to hold their breath underwater. Since this has never been done before, I find it amazing and feel this will change how underwater scenes are filmed.
The storyline was very similar to the first Avatar. In the first movie the military wanted to use the Navi land to mine Unobtanium, in this sequel the military wanted revenge on Sully for siding with the Navi in the last movie. I found Avatar’s: The Way of Water’s three hours and 12 minutes unnecessarily long. Even though I didn’t like this movie as much as the first, I still appreciate how beautiful it is and what it could do for Hollywood.

Just get a PS5 Mike01Hawk, it'll be cheaper than building a PC Master Race you said, $4k later! Work in progress.
TL;DR: Went all ham and head first into VR racing.
Going thru a divorce so I'm enjoying some "Retail Therapy". Grew up in the Atari days, played GT extensively on the PS1/2 in College. Turned into a PC snob in the 2000s.
Current PC was long in the tooth, 980ti, so figured I'd see what they hype was around the PS5. Got one a month ago and started hearing all they hype around the PSVR2, so f it, YOLO and dropped the extra $$$.
Oh my, GT7 in VR is nucking futs! I wanted MOAR! So of course I went down the rabbit hole and ended up ordering an ASR4 rig with the Logitech Pro.
As for why I have a racing stand. The Logitech was on back order till July, so I thought I had some time to decide on an 8020 rig. Nope, got a notification last week that the wheel would be here Friday. I knew I'd be chomping at the bit to use it so I just punted and got the racing stand for the interim.
Holy crap this is intense!
I have several hours under my belt with just the controller on GT7. It's a completely different animal with the wheel. The sensation of speed is thru the roof! I could seriously feel my car rotating under me. It was a crazy feeling. Like my brain knows I'm stationary, but the feedback thru my hands paired with the VR seriously tripped up my brain and I felt like I was physically moving.
I know the DualSense controller has pressure buttons but I never liked the digital on/off feeling of the controller with my play style. I always felt darty and chunky, like I only knew on/off movements. With the analog input with the wheel and pedals, completely different game easing onto the brake and gas turning into and out of a corner. I also dabbled with using a manual transmission in the game now that I have flappy paddles that make it easier to control the trans. That's gonna be a whole new learning curve to now use the engine braking for corner entrances.
After each race finished I was physically tense and "on". Felt draining. Kinda like when you get finished with a rollercoaster and you come to your senses at the end when they slow you down before you have to get off.
As for the temp rig, yeah, total wobbly piece. Can't wait to get the rock solid tank of an 8020 rig and have a proper bucket seat and race posture and position.
Oh and yeah, my race car driving skills SUCK! I have sooooo much room for improvement. Can't wait to get more seat time and develope my skills!
I started to really think of the logistics of having a sim rig in my bedroom. Like just how the f is that gonna look and work. I guess just get long ass usb cables to go from the TV stand to the other side of the room for where the rig will be and just us VR. But that's a total ghetto ass solution. Probably just gonna say f it and have the rig in the living room and buy a dedicated 2nd PS5 just for the rig
It's also gonna be tempting to also have triples and a dedicated racing rig PC.
Now to go put my credit card in a block of ice so I won't be tempted to order the D-Box motion actuators. Yes, I know D-Box would require going to a PC solution :\
Damn it all to hell!

2023.06.10 22:18 Firm_Ad_9928 Flickering lights in Mercer County?!

For the last 6ish weeks between the hours of 4pm to around 9pm the lights in my house flicker randomly sometimes just a litter and sometimes I feel like I'm at the club. Our power lines are under ground so I was thinking maybe it was tremors because they never go all the way out like a power outage and things plugged in don't do anything at all (i.e. the stove clock, phone charging or lamps). So my point to this is has anyone else experienced this? If anyone has any ideas plz comment!

2023.06.10 22:10 robonlocation Montreal Airport Shuttle size

So last week, I took the train from Ottawa to Montreal to get to the airport. When I got off at Dorval Station, the shuttle arrived after about 7 minutes, but it was a small van, maybe 8 passengers. The problem is about 30 people got off the train and needed to get to the terminal. The driver told us he would be back in half an hour. Is this a common issue here? I kindof expected a large shuttle, similar to the buses you see take people to car rental lots.
Unfortunately I was cutting it close already (my Ottawa flight was canceled and I had to hop on a train to Montreal so I could catch my flight), so I had to get an uber to get to the terminal. I actually ended up splitting it with 4 other people who were in a rush, so it wasn't too bad. But if the shuttle only comes every half hour, they really need a vehicle that can hold more people.

2023.06.10 22:01 JacksonRiffs Is it Possible to Have a Parking Ticket Dismissed by Mail? (Nassau County, NY)

I just got a trial date in the mail for a parking ticket that I pled not guilty for. The ticket was for exceeding the time limit in a 2 hour parking zone at an LIRR station (not metered). I have Google maps data that shows I was only there for 45 minutes so I intend to fight for a dismissal since I didn't come anywhere near the time limit, much less exceed it. The letter included a plea by mail option, but it seems like it's only if you're looking to get a reduced fine and not a dismissal. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to get a full dismissal via this method. If not, I'll just appear on the set date. I'm sure they figure most people would rather just pay the fine than go to the trouble of fighting it. I'm not most people.

2023.06.10 21:58 ultra_blue Does the 500 Club still exist?

Grüß Gott!
I was stationed in Amberg in the late 1980s. During that time, I often hung out at the 500 Club. Does it still exist?
And whether it does or not, can you tell what its address is (or was)?
Vielen dank!
Servus,
