2023.06.05 04:47 Available_Option3912 [FL] How would I include this on my resume + Am I too late?

Hey there reddit!
I am trying to apply for a Business development representative (BDSDR) job in the USA (I am a citizen).
My questions are:
1) On my current resume, for some of the companies I previously applied to, I did not mention the company I was working for (Ie: I tried to apply to Google in October, but didn't mention that I worked for my current company for around 4 months). The reason why I did this was because, originally, I didn't think I was going to stay (I was hired as a BDR at this company as soon as I turned 18, was trained during the summer, before heading to college in D.C). I had to leave college because of my father's health condition and went back to work effective January of 2022.
A) What would I do here? Should I still apply to these companies? What would happen if I were to apply to one of these companies and they were to note that my current resume is different (not mentioning prior experience) to my previous resume?
B) Would I have a chance to explain to the company (via phone call or email) the reason i didn't mention my prior work experience after they, lets say, reject my application because they think I am lying (would that make a difference, post rejection)? How about if were to (or should) mention it to a recruiter during an interview, assuming they didn't notice the change (how would they react)?
2) I used to work on a large family YouTube channel centered in the Middle East. I had worked there for 2 years. In those 2 years, I had grown it from 1.6 million subs to 3.4 million subs and by 100 million views. I had decided to resign due to ethical issues and, with that, they are unwilling to provide verification of my work. Notably, I wasn't paid a salary and they are centered in Jordan.
A) How would I go about including this information on either my resume or in an interview? Should I? I am worried that I might include this info and then, when verification time comes around, I will be flagged for not being able to verify my experience!
B) I did apply to a few companies with this on my prior resumes. With that in mind, What would happen here? Will I ever be asked questions about why I didn't include this on my current resume, be seen as suspicious, or be required to have this experience verified?
3) I was speaking to a recruiter Thursday morning when she gave me an email that prompted me to include my resume so that she can submit it to a company. I wasn't able to submit it Thursday or throughout the weekend due to a family emergency. I still need to make edits (the information gathered from this post) and then plan to post it on Monday morning.
A) Do you think I still have a chance of being taken seriously or having the recruiter understand why I was late to submit my resume? What should I say or do?
4) Assuming I don't include my picture (or job title near my name), does this look like a good resume template for someone interested in a BDR tech job on the West coast? How about any BDR job (not tech) in the U.S?

2023.06.05 04:47 BeefusTheDingus Trek Domane Sl6 Gen 4 vs. Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 Disc

Hello,
For reference, I'm a fairly novice rider, just completed my first 100k ride after slowly building up for the last year and a half. I'm a serious runner but cycling has always been my preferred cross training sport.
I currently own a Trek Dual Sport 2 that is from 2014 I believe and it has served me well but I want something that can handle some serious miles and higher speeds.
Both of these bikes seem very appealing to me given the similar specs on each bike. My only hesitation is that, while Canyon has a much better price, I am unsure of how well it handles country / rougher roads that has loose gravel at points.
My LBS is also a Trek one so that is a point in Trek's direction as well. Ultimately, (pun intended) I want my first serious road bike that will last me and help me reach my goals of comfortably riding up to 100 miles at a time. It would be fantastic to get that at a cheaper price but I appreciate any thoughts or ideas.

Hi all! I have an almost 3 year old that we’ve been potty training since end of March 2023. We followed the Big Little Feelings course (3 days). Peeing on the potty is going relatively well and she is starting to sell initiate. Pooping has been a nightmare. She basically stopped pooping regularly when we started potty training, and will basically only poop every 2-3 days at random times. She will start pooping or fully poop in her underwear. She’s probably only made it to the potty two or three times for poop since starting potty training. Otherwise, we are cleaning up poop messes or throwing out underwear and sometimes pants.
I’ve had her sit in the washroom with me while pooping, we read potty/poop books, I’ve bribed her (not so proud of this) with M&Ms if she makes it to the potty (she’s only gotten two in a month…). We prompt her regularly but that doesn’t help, as she’s pooped in her pants just mere minutes later.
I’m kind of reaching my breaking point and have been noticing I keep getting short with her when she poops her pants now. Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

The text below is from medicine, in reply to a question by a medical professional asking why so many people are now diagnosing themselves as having autism … worth a read.
Do yourself a favor, if you think you have autism, get tested by someone trained in the diagnosis, even if it take a while. Self-diagnosis, if wrong, is harmful.

A lot of people experience unpleasant things we don’t like, and we seek out support for them. Many things like social awkwardness (autism) ... are very common but don’t rise to the level or criteria of what medical professionals call a diagnosis. These problems are compounded by recent social isolation caused by increasing social media use and the pandemic - causing these people to be lonely and dealing with unpleasant things. But then a shiny online influencer comes in and invites them to a community for people experiencing issues they can identify. They give them a name for their problems, validating and giving them ideas to address those concerns - even when the medical community wouldn’t validate them because to use they don’t meet the diagnostic criteria.
I think that’s also why most of the people self diagnosing themselves with these things are people who feel disenfranchised by the medical establishment (like women) and people who feel socially isolated (like teens/young adults). It gives them both the feeling of power and the peer connections they need.
I think this is also why you see certain conditions more commonly in these people: they are issues and feelings of discomfort many people in these demographics have - and they don’t have clear diagnostic criteria. … Many people are socially awkward and having trouble interacting with others more than ever before - autism fits that. ... Similarly none of these issues has a quick and easy fix if there’s a true fix at all - allowing members of this community to continue to connect together through their suffering and problem solving - making it hard for anyone to leave. I’m sure there’s more diagnoses that will become “trendy” in the future for these same reasons.
Ultimately I think it’s an extremely complex issue that will become increasingly common as social isolation and connections through social media grow as a major part of our culture and socialization. I think it would be a great target area of medical social science research.

2023.06.05 04:45 AlexVioletteLuther I have accepted a job at one company before I heard back from another company and receiving an offer letter. Should I work at the first company while waiting on my paperwork to be processed by the second?

So I have been applying everywhere I could for about 5 months after losing my job at the start of the year. I had to pull from my savings to pay my bills and my anxiety started getting so out of hand, I became very depressed. I had to ask my parents for help to get by. A month or so ago I applied to a job at Company A. I had applied there multiple times months ago and did not hear back so when I applied again, I did not expect to anything. After I decided to try my luck again, I was immediately called in for an interview and offered the job a few days later. Its a low paying job, but I figured I could make a little money while I waited for something else to open up.
A day before the job interview at Company A I met someone through a friend who works at a larger company (Company B). After speaking to them about my previous job experience and degree, they said they would try to get me a job at Company B. A week goes by and I honestly did not expect anything to come from B (I didn't have much confidence given the size of the company). Well, I was very wrong. I received two offers in one day. I interviewed for both within two weeks and was offered a high paying position. I am waiting on my offer letter from Company B and was told once my letter is received, it would take between 1-3 months before I would start training. I am meeting soon with Company A to start my HR paperwork. My dad, who has experience with Company B said it may take a long time or no time at all so he told me to just work at Company A for now. The only problem is, I'll have to take days off to go do paperwork/ drug testing for Company B out of town. I hate to take days off so early on. Both are intense jobs with a lot of training.
Should I start working at A while waiting for B to process my paperwork if I have to wait 3 months? Even if I have to take days off?

I've only been working hear a year and some change and 95% of the people who trained me are now gone. Now I'm on the edge of being promoted to shift lead, but with all the cuts, is it even worth it? I talked to my dad about all the restructuring and he laughed and said "the tallest grass is always cut first" and it made me really confused. All my life I've been told to be a good and honest hard worker and everything will fix itself but the most hardworking people I've met are no longer in my store for no reason other than Corrie corners. I'm not even good with tech, I just wanted a cool retail job. I feel like they're just promoting me so they're able to let me go at this point and it makes me sad. What do I do?? Do I keep working until I get laid off or do I jump ship and start over?

Just updated bios from FC to FDd because of the new exploit. Installed and booted up fine so I went to turn XMP back on (2x16GB Hynix 6000MHz cl30). Let it RAM train but after 30 minutes with no POST, hard reset. PC boots back up and bios detects failed boot so I turn off XMP and it boots fine again. Try XMP one more time but same issue. On second hard reset, PC boots normally and XMP works fine. No idea why, just wanted to let anyone know in case they were running into the same issue. I’ll update if things change.

2023.06.05 04:43 Folley454 Why issue a challenge to someone not able to complete it

I started playing around 3-4 months ago and the new challenges were great, except I love builder potions to speed stuff up and I can’t complete the challenge. Kind of annoying, but I get I’m not the mass of players way ahead of me.
