So, my brand new Pixel 7a has an intermittent issue with the bottom few centimeters of the screen locking up after I use Google Assistant. I'm able to lock and unlock the phone a few times and resolve it, but it is suuuuper annoying. I submitted an RMA for it, things were going well until the replacement phone arrived and had a scratch on the top of the screen, right over the front-facing camera lens. I reach out to support chat, and I'm told I can send the replacement back in the RMA box, and once they receive it I can submit another RMA for my original phone. I'm not feeling great about this, worried that they will get confused about the IMEI of the device returned vs the device they expected, but two support representatives told me it would be fine.

I sent the replacement phone back on Monday, on Tuesday it was received at the facility in TX, and my RMA has not been updated to show that the phone has been received. Now I have a temporary hold on my account for the replacement phone, I can't submit an RMA for my original phone, and they don't seem to be in a rush to resolve this, despite the fact that I have tracking that shows they have had it for 3 days. I just want the replacement for my 3 week old phone and to put this behind me. Does anyone have advice for a situation like this?

I’m at a bit of a loss right now. My cat suffered a blood clot (saddle thrombus) two days ago. I rushed him to the ER. He was in so much pain, couldn’t move his back legs, and was gasping for air. There was nothing they could do for him. Therefore, I opted for euthanasia.
Today I called the cremation company asking if they’ve received his body. They said they hadn’t because it’s on “a hold” at the ER.
I call the ER and they let me know prior to euthanizing, he bit a vet tech, and thus his head / brain had to be sent to a lab for rabies testing. I’m devastated because I had no idea. I was never told anything until he had already been decapitated.
Now I’m just waiting for the lower part of his body to make it to the crematory. I won’t receive the top. And the ER gives me no details on when this whole process will complete so I can move forward with healing.
Has anyone gone through something similar? I understand it’s protocol for an animal to quarantine for 10 days after a bite here in Austin, TX. But I had no idea that if it occurs right before the pet passes that the pet’s head is removed and sent off for testing.
To add salt to the wound, when I was able to see him prior to euthanasia, he was bleeding from his mouth and nose. I don’t know how that occurred, as he wasn’t bleeding before we got to the ER. I feel something happened that no one is telling me about.

I’ve rewrote this post twice trying to keep it as short as possible but it’s a lot…and unhinged.
Basically, my dad got remarried to my SM about 2 years ago. Our relationship has been fine until she voluntarily came to get me from Texas. I never asked to do this, she just didn’t like me and my dad’s plan of switching cars earlier in the month as my car was having issues.
Basically, I just got out the Army through medical retirement after 9 years. It was traumatic, and due to toxic leadership and one of my SOs (who lived with me) not helping and the other two not living in the state, I did not have a savings nor other help to move. Luckily, I ended up finding a good job in DC and my dad was planning to let me use his RV until I could afford to get a place. The only problem was me getting to his house (in GA) as originally, I was going to stay in TX until I could find a job but few of my roller derby teammates/friends showed their true colors and fucked up my mental health and he could not get me as he already had other plans.
From the beginning, SM was very pushy about the trip insisting I should be ready to jump in the car and go as soon as she got there as she had “stuff to do” it was weird and me and my dad kept telling her it wasn’t reasonable, but we chalked it up to stress as she’s never behaved like that towards me before. She gets here and it was straight down hill from there.
Firstly, she knew I had recently got cats. They are essentially my ESAs for my trauma from the military. They only are not formally as I don’t have money to pay for the official paperwork now. SM neglected to tell me that not only does she hate/fear cats, but the person she brought to help drive is allergic. As such, she demanded I keep them in the carrier for the whole 20 hour trip(it’s a large multi cat carrier but they are also harness trained I have seatbelts for them), does not want to give me time to appropriately let them pee, had to be convinced by her friend to let me stop for litter as she had -against my direct instructions- put their litter box in an unreachable locations and refused to let me get it as it would “take to much time”, blamed me for her friends asthma attack when her pills wore off, and would not let me put the third seat down so the carrier would be properly balanced as she didn’t want her cooler to be in the bed of the truck. She also convinces me to get rid of some of my stuff (like just throw it away) as it would take too much time to load it and it took up too much room. This leads to a big argument after I had enough and she basically DARVOs me the entire time and says its fine if they just…piss in their carrier cause we can clean it up later (keep in mind this is not her truck, it’s been paid off for years before she was in the picture, and its my dads dream car). I’m yelling at her, and she just says she just wants me to “compromise”. I say I have, and asked what exactly SM has “compromised” and she says that her letting my cats in the truck at all was her compromise. She refuses to answer when me or her friend asked her directly the alternative was and yells it’s not her responsibility to come up with a solution. Her friend manages to calm us down, and finally make it to GA.
As soon as we get back, she is acting weird and ruder than during the trip. She refuses to give me my dads keys so I can make a copy (I have had a key since he bought the house but he got a new door knob), will not actually let me use my dads truck -despite that being agreed upon well in advance- to the point when my car needed a jump she chose to not jump it with his truck even though it was right next to me and instead drives her car closer to mine to jump it, and is generally pushing me to hurry up and get my stuff out of my dad’s truck/my car and put it in the RV. She also told me that my childhood dog, Blue, and hers are not allowed to free roam the house anymore, and that they are only allowed out of their area during certain points of the day. I’m perplexed but don’t say much and ask if they have leashes so I can take them on a walk at least. She says they aren’t the walking type and basically shoots down any idea I come up with spend time with them outside of just taking them in the front. I don’t like this idea because, I don’t know this new dog and I think she probably won’t listen to me. Because of this, and her rushing me to unpack so much, I tell her I’m going to take Blue upstairs so he can meet my cats and finish unpacking. She doesn’t like this Idea and says she thinks they’ll fight. I say I’m sure it will be fine as Blue is used to cats and my cats aren’t generally assholes. Note: she never said not to, and he is my dog so I thought it was fine.
Well, I guess between the stress of the trip and them not knowing this animal, I was wrong and Jean, one of my cats, swipes at Blue. Its just a surface cut but I’m distraught by this and go downstairs to ask for a med kit to clean it. I apologize a lot and am clearly shaken. SM decides this would be a good time to chastise me and tell me “None of this would have happened if you just listened and followed my rules”. I’m floored but say nothing a go to keep unpacking. Fast forward to later that night, this entire time, she refuses to give me my dad’s keys, locks both doors every time I leave, but gets frustrated when I have to knock or text her to open it (my dad typically leaves the door unlocked during the day as he knows all his neighbors so it was already weird) .
I ended up going to get some food and she isn’t home when I left or answering my messages so I figured she’s busy and leave the house. When I come back the door is locked and she isn’t answering the doorbell, so I text her. She answers the door, again annoyed, after her mom confirms the doorbell rang. I also am texting my SO in Texas at this time an accidentally text SM “this woman is mad she has to open the door for me but won’t give me a key”. Once I realize my mistake, I run downstairs to apologize, and she refuses to open the master bedroom door and is screaming at me through it. I try to talk to her, but she then says to go away as I’ve been talking to everyone behind her back and getting ppl against her. I have absolutely no idea what she’s talking about as, at this point, I’ve only told my dad pieces about the fight and that I felt uncomfortable to which we agreed not to tell her we talked til he got back and my SO in TX who she hasn’t met yet (I suspect she was listening to my earlier call as the door upstairs doesn’t fully close). She says other ridiculous stuff, I and decide its best for both of us if I left and went up to North Carolina as I was going to go visit anyway and come back when my dad gets back. I ask her for his flight info as he had asked me to pick him up. She doesn’t answer at all and eventually I get mad and say fine I guess he just won’t get picked up and go to pack.
She goes absolutely nuclear at this and starts screaming a me and tells me I need to go upstairs and go to bed. I tell her no and she point blank calls me a spoiled, manipulative, a liar, and a brat. She alludes very strongly that I’m like (emotionally abusive) mother until I tell her point blank to no speak on her as she’s met her once. She’s calling me all theses things with the justification of my dad doing stuff for me makes me spoiled and that I’m abusive to him and that I have him wrapped around his finger. She says I needs to ask her permission to leave the house for anything as I will always be a child in this house and can’t just come and go as I please and as such was mad that I left for food in the first place. There’re so many unhinged things she said in this fight, to the point that my friend had I called to ask stay with her wires me money just so I don’t have the added stress of doing a 3-hour trip at 11 at night and can be safe. She ends the convo with “Its late, and my voice is and I’m a singer (at their church) and can’t ruin my voice so I’m going to bed. You should do the same but if you choose to leave close the garage and go through the front”. I’m honestly angry and in shock but leave any way. She never texts me the entire 2 days to even see if I made it there despite being upset because she thought me leaving would make my dad mad at her and make her look bad, especially if my car broke down(which luckily didn’t happen but very much could have happened).
The day of his flight comes, and I make my way back to GA. My dad finally got cell signal and had to force her to tell me anything (turns out she refused to tell me because she didn’t know as my dad’s flight got moved). He insists this is just a misunderstanding and wants to have a group talk which goes horribly. She wouldn’t let me tell my side at all, deflects the whole time, and the I discover she told my dad she thought I was drunk during the road trip. After me and my dad talk to his best friend, I discover that his bestie has never liked her, told him not to marry her (including on his wedding day), that this woman has put my dad in debt, and my dad says point blank if not for her sick mom living in the house, he would have left her already. Dad also tells me that none of the rules she listed were legit and he never agreed to them. He then reveals that this behavior, while shocking and unhinged, is probably because he told her that her cousin was not allowed to use his truck without his permission and that I am still the primary recipient on his will for everything, including the house (I had no idea about this).
Needless to say, it’s a lot. He was visibly pissed for a few days and had me fake apologize just to see if her behavior toward me changed and when it did not barely spoke to her. Until… maybe a week in. She started acting friendlier towards me and he seems to be in a better mood. I know he said he had a plan but its hard to see them carrying on like normal with everything. SM goes on a trip on Friday, and I am torn between asking him what he plans to do and leaving him alone. I didn’t come here to ruin his marriage, I just needed help. But at the same time, I feel like her behavior was unforgivable. It especially hurts, because the stress was so much my dad and his friend convinced me to try to get my start date moved because I was visibly stressed and depressed only for my new job instead to rescind their offer. I’m at his house for a bit longer as he asked me to stay so we could spend time after she left, but after that I’m going up to NYC to be with my other partners and try to focus on myself. Keep in mind, all this, is the extremely shortened version.
I read this sub a lot but never thought I'd have anything to say in it, especially for anyone other than my actual mom. I’m at a loss on what to even do or what direction to steer my life in now that she effectively ruined my plan and new beginning.

hese are concepts ideas I had for an Metal Gear (1987) remake which I would dub as Metal Gear Solid 6: Outer Haven. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1990) would be called Metal Gear Solid 7: Zanzibarland. Both games would be long and give a lot of depth on Solid Snake's past and his relationship with Big Boss, Campbell and Gray Fox. Another game I would push for is Metal Gear Solid: The Philanthropy Chronicles.It would allow players to play as Solid Snake and his supporting cast after the events of Metal Gear Solid 2. Snake’s mission to continue taking out metal gears and track down the Patriots along with Revolver Ocelot. It would lead up to the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I will be working on Metal Gear Solid 7: Zanzibarland concepts soon.
The concept for a Metal Gear Solid 6: Outer Haven (MGS6: OH):
I know its long as Metal Gear (1987) would have to be a game that is remade from the bottom up. A remake of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake would be easier since it was a rock solid game. One wouldn't have to change much from it just expand on the story, elements and characterization it has already. I would love to get feed back from fans here.
Story:
The storytelling aspect is inspired by how MGS (1998) told its story. The game would start with Otacon, a ghost writer that wrote the novel of Snake’s exploits and those that work with Snake during Operation Intrude N313 telling the events of Metal Gear Solid 6: Outer Heaven to journalist they trust. We learn that Snake is paradon for his crimes and is buried as a war hero next to the grave of Big Boss. Given a Medal of Honor award and other awards from other countries for saving the world several times. The world is now knowing about his story and thus even more interested to learn of Snakes exploits during his youth. David Hayter voice being used as a recorded message from a dying Solid Snake giving accounts on what happened in Metal Gear Solid 6 and 7 along with most of his life. Snake hopes that his message and story will inspire others to be better and fight for what is right.
David Hayter wouldn’t voice a young Solid Snake as I feel a voice actor that is younger but can emulate David Hayter mannerism and his voice should do it. A young Solid Snake having a hint of innocence, nativity, vulnerability and self doubt at times.
David Hayter would voice Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 7: Zanzibarland since Snake is supposed to be older and wiser. David would be able to give us this voice range and kick it out of the park including the duel against the real Big Boss.
Plot:
The year is 1995, the Soviet Union has collapsed and the Cold War is now over. The threat of nuclear war is gone and the world embraces this newfound peace. However, this peace is short-lived as there are those that don’t want it. The world is engulfed with the threat of terrorism and rogue states that want to get their hands on nuclear weapons. The free world is now being threatened once again. The US Government works to combat this threat with its covert U.S. Army unit known as Fox-Hound under the leadership of the legendary war hero known as Big Boss. However, when a government agent goes missing during a mission…The agent last reports a weapon that can shake the foundations of the world known as “Metal Gear”. Big Boss sends in a rookie but talented Fox-Hound agent known as Solid Snake to learn of this new weapon. Will Snake learn the truth about this new weapon or will the world find out what Metal Gear will do if it's unleashed?
Mission:
Like MGS3 there would be a Virtuous Mission in MGS6:OH.

• Solid Snake is sent in by Big Boss to sneak into Mother Boss from MGS5 via Los Angeles Class (Block 3).
• Mother Base is set to be demolished by Outer Heaven forces as they move their forces and operations to mainland Galzburg, South Africa.
• Snake’s mission to find and rescue Gray Fox and any of the kidnapped scientists that work for Dr. Madnar. Find out what Metal Gear is and take them to the extraction point aka an Helicopter Pad not in use by Outer Haven units. Afterward, deploy the fulton recovery device for extraction
• Snake learns Gray Fox is being held in South Africa at the Outer Haven main base along with Dr. Madnar and his top scientist team. His low level assistants were to be executed by Outer Heaven soldiers via demolishing Mother Base. Last, that Metal Gear is also in South Africa and that Outer Haven is planning to use a custom made ICBM nuclear tipped missile potentially on any country that threatens them.
• The mission goes bad when Snake is about to have the scientist air lifted off the ground via fulton recovery devices. The scientists are brutally gunned down by Outer Haven Elite soldiers.
• An enraged Snake takes down the Outer Haven soldiers that approach him using his hybrid but deadly CQC system and tries to air lift himself via fulton recovery device. However, he is ambushed by a masked Venom Snake aka The Masked Phantasm.
• Snake puts up one hell of a fight, hitting Venom several times to where the point where Venom can only praise Snake’s skills. However, he loses when Venom plays mind games with him including stating his full code name and kicks up off the rig.
• Mother Base is destroyed by Venom and his men. Snake is adrift at sea until he is saved by the Los Angeles Class Submarine (Block 3) that helped him infiltrate Mother Base. He is later taken back to the states for a debriefing on what happened while he recovers in a hospital.
• In this mission, Snake only has Big Boss communicating with him and does not get much support. He is given only a trap gun, his CQC knife and basic first aid kits.
• The suit he wears is similar to his sneaking suit from MGS. Only this suit is design to swim on to the Mother Base elevator platform and sneak around on the surface at night

Main Mission:
This is where Snake goes to South Africa and has to get to Outer Haven which is a vastly HUGE heavily defended base. Potentially the best soldiers and mercenaries in the world work and defend the base. It is an official mission sponsored by Fox-Hound, NATO, CIA, NSA, UN and top members of the US Government. This means Solid Snake gets a load of equipment, gadgets and weapons for the mission.

• The briefing section for the main mission would give Escape from New York vibes. Big Boss, Lt. Colonel Roy Campell and other government officials brief Snake on his mission. It is here Snake sees his weapons, equipment and gadgets he will have for Operation:.
• Snake mission is the following: 1. Rescue Gray Fox, Kyle Schidener and Dr. Madnar. 2. Investigate War Crimes committed by Outer Haven. 3. Aid Resistance Fighters in any way possible. 4. Rescue any other hostages on the base. 5. Destroy Metal Gear and Neutralize the threat Outer Haven poses to the world. 6. Terminate the Masked Phantasm (Venom Snake)
• He is air dropped in South Africa by an C-130 gunship (Reference to Metal Gear NES/MGS3) and is ordered to meet with an Resistance fighter before moving into an areas destroyed by Outer Heaven forces via horse back
• This intro game would be similar to Rambo 3 and gives a hint on what Solid Snake will be going up against as travel though the beginning of the game seeing Outer Heaven air force units from a distance bomb villages
• The main mission would be a large map to roam around. The location being Galzburg, South Africa where the main base of Outer Haven is located at.
• When Gray Fox is rescued, he will provide support and be Snake’s mentor.
• Level boss battles will be intense and hard
• Last, Entering Outer Haven HQ will be intense and the final battle as well.

Gameplay would be a mix between MSG 3 and MSG 4 and MSG 5. It takes influence from other games like Red Dead Redemption, Splinter Cell and Grand Theft Auto video games along with new mechanics. The concept is to give the game a war survival horror like vibe if you’re spotted by the enemy or having trouble surviving in the wilderness.
MSG3 gameplay elements

• Like MGS3, you could change your camouflage and blend into the environment, camouflage meter, survive off the wilderness and eat foods.
• Finding food in the wilderness would boost Snake’s stamina and also assist with him getting his LIFE up when he rests. However, they would not boost his LIFE up like military rations or other foods (Three-Five star food) found in the supply depots or mess halls at Outer Haven bases would.
• The first aid system from MGS3 would play a part in the game. Solid Snake would be able to heal his wounds or stop bleeding like Big Boss did in MGS3 many decades ago. So having first aid items will be vital.
• The game would have different rations from different countries that Snake can eat from if he takes it off an Outer Haven soldier or from their supply depots. Military rations help heal Snake LIFE and give a small or moderate boost depending on the quality of the ration. (ex. American Military rations would give a moderate boost to Snake LIFE but would give a small boost to his stamina as he isn’t in favor of the rations taste. Russian rations would only give Snake a Small boost in LIFE and small boost in stamina due to its taste. Call back to MGS3. French Rations would boost Snake’s LIFE and Stamina completely which would be a call back to MSG4.)
• Different foods found on Outer Haven bases can boost Snake’s stamina up and LIFE better than Rations such as the Calorie Mate, Curry, different sodas, snacks, etc. Also, three or five star meals found in Outer Haven mess halls scatter through-out their many sub bases or garrisons. P.S. I want to have a scene where Solid Snake finds a Calorie Mate and speaks to Big Boss about it and the two have an interesting conversation about it. (Lol)
• Snake can sabotage enemy supply deports and armories to reduce the enemies ability in fighting him if spotted.

MGS4 Gameplay elements-

• Over the shoulder gameplay
• First person view and aiming down the sights
• A fluid polished gun gameplay mechanic
• Customizable weapon system, weapon attachment, swapping out and fixing inventory slot for weapons and/or inventory
• Psyche meter, this goes down when Snake is spotted too much and takes too much damage
• Currency system to upgrade weapons and get ammo when Snake runs into Resistance fighters weapon vendors
• Solid Snake having the option to assist resistance fighters or continue with his mission
• Aiding resistance fighters will help Snake during take segments of the game. They will return favors to Snake by giving him rations, weapons, other foods and ammo
• Saving hostages at Outer Haven facilities will also assist Snake and give him items or information
• Polished CQC system
• Being able to pick up ammo and weapons of dead enemy soldiers. No ID tags for the weapon.

MGS 5-

• Polished CQC and fighting system
• Being able to operate vehicles, tanks, apcs and infantry fighting vehicles. However, enemy forces will start to respond more aggressive call in armored units or gunships to Snake out
• Ride horses
• Weather and day changes at random times, Snake can use this for his advantage
• Enemy checkpoints and small bases that Outer Haven use as buffer against intruders and Outer Haven resistance fighters
• Call in support from local Outer Heaven Resistance fighters (only if you assisted them in them battles, gained their respect and they’re nearby to help)
• Gunship helicopter patrols
• Air assault units
• Armored convoy patrol
• Snake can sabotage mini Outer Haven bases, outpost and can knock enemy communications which makes it harder for enemies to call for back up
• Sabotaging Outer Heaven outposts and their infrastructure will cause Outer Heaven to move their forces out to confront the Resistance fighters thus giving Solid Snake a chance to get past them
• Snake can smoke his Lucky Striker cigarettes to bring up his Psyche or allow time to pass by similar to what Venom Snake did with his E-Cigars in MSG5

Splinter cell element-

• The game would allow players/Solid Snake to use stealth mechanics similar to that game to get by or attack Outer Heaven soldiers
• This also means hiding in the shadows and sometimes staying out of the light

Grand Theft Auto elements-

• Like GTA games, if you do too much damage to the police they get more aggressive.
• It would be no different when you fight Outer Haven soldiers as they will start to send in more elite soldiers with better weapons and armor.
• They will also be able to be armored units or mechanized units and gunships would be sent to kill Snake.
• Worse, Air strikes and heavy artillery strikes as well. Some OH units would deploy bi-pedal armor vehicles and jet packs along with guard dogs.
• This would strongly support the stealth element of the game and give it a war horror movie vibe if you get spotted by the enemy. It doesn’t matter how many good weapons you have on you. You will be overwhelmed by Outer Heaven soldiers and will die if you get spotted multiple times.
• This would be similar to what you see in GTA if too many law enforcement agents continue to swarm on you

New Gaming mechanics -

• Non-linear gameplay- meaning random patrols of Outer Soldiers can occur the closer you get to Outer Haven HQ
• Open world map. Goal is to give fans the immersion that the red dead redemption games gave. Basically the Outer Heaven is like a large country in and of itself
• Game would reward you for not being spotted and embracing the stealth elements of the game. This means you will encounter less Outer Heaven patrols in the game and they won’t be heavily geared up when doing them
• If Snake gets spotted too much in the game, Outer Heaven soldiers will be more hype vigilante, heavily armed and geared up. They will change their patrol tactics to make it difficult for Snake to sneak around. Worse double up on patrols or have support from armored units, gunships or unmanned drones.
• Stealth take down system. Snake can perform lethal or non-lethal takedowns rambo style when his enemies get close. The players can make the decision on which take down to use.
• Snake can switch his fighting system from CQC to the various martial arts he knows. If multiple soldiers are near him he can use CQC or use standard martial arts when fighting enemies that can counter his CQC based attacks.
• He can use a CQC take down on enemies not paying attention to him or other forms of melee takedowns.
• This is to showcase how skilled Snake is when it comes to fighting
• Different locations have points that are controlled by the Outer Haven Resistance fighters and Outer Heaven soldiers
• The game will reward players for assisting Outer Heaven resistances and sabotaging Outer Heaven bases
• Liberate occupied villages under Outer Heaven soldiers occupation or avoid them, go though abandoned villages or resistance fighter controlled villages
• The closer you get to Outer Haven, the more patrols and mini bases run by Outer Heaven soldiers you will encounter. This means the game will get very difficult real quick.
• Outer Heaven patrols will be random at time depending on how many times you have raised the alarms or not during your mission
• Caution mode would contribute to this but there will be more patrols if you cause yourself to enter caution phase too much
• The travel to Outer Haven’s main HQ is to parallel MSG3 when Big Boss had to travel to Gronznyj Grad. It short, Snake travels to Outer Haven would be an epic long high adrenaline rush journey to defeat Venom Snake and destroy TX-55 Metal Gear
• South Africa’s map would be vast and large. It is filled with its soft and rough terrain. Snake can use this to his advantage but so can Outer Heaven Soldiers
• Players will have the option to either go to Outer Heaven outpost or avoid them by using the rough terrain to get around the outpost
• Gray Fox will assist Snake in certain parts of the game and provide support either though radio or combat support to take down a level boss.
• At times, Snake and Gray Fox would work together to take down Outer Haven patrols
• The final part of the game involves Solid Snake and Gray Fox having to fight hordes of Elite Outer Heaven soldiers as they fight to stop Venom Snake from using TX-55 to fire a completed experimental long range ICBM nuclear missile on the Patriots
• Last, Solid Snake vs Venom Snake. Venom proclaims that he is Big Boss to Snake after taking off his mask and the two fight. The rest is history.
• The final battle is to parallel the battle between The Boss and Big Boss. Intense gunfight and CQC fight between the two. Snake needs to use an experimental rocket launcher made by Outer Haven to kill Venom Snake
• After beating the game, you can play as Gray Fox and see the story though his eyes and how he is informed by the Real Big Boss to assist Snake and help him take down Venom Snake.
• Being able to blend into the environment Rambo/Navy SEAL tier One style to either get past enemies or take them down one by one
• Snake would have a booby trap system inspire the Rambo movies to help ambush soldiers or distract them while they go to aid wounded soldiers.
• Snake can create ghillie suits to hide from enemy soldiers, covertly sneak past them or use it to ambush them
• Players would have multiple options on how to enter Outer Heaven outpost and the main HQ

Weapons

• The weapons in the game will be from late 60s to mid 90s. Weapons form both Soviet Union, Warsaw Pact, China and NATO countries. This goes from handgun, submachines, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, and anti tank weapons. Last, grenades and mines.
• Weapons can be customizable for Snake to use if he finds the attachment for the weapons or finds an resistance fighter vendor that is nearby to upgrade his weapons
• Enemies use weapons fitted for the environment that they operate it and it's at random the types they use
• Some weapons will be custom built weapons that don’t exist in the real world to be the spirit of the previous Metal Gear Solid game.
• Some weapons will allow Snake to use his CQC techniques or basic melee attacks with weapons

Characters:

• David/Solid Snake:
• A child soldier of sorts. He spent his life being fostered by different foster parents (Patriot handlers) until he reached the age of 6. After that, Solid Snake was trained though-out most of his life by his many handlers at an US Army run school.
• In the US Army run school (Patriots involvement), he was made to engage in a mix of U.S. infantry, Airborne infantry, U.S. Army Ranger, Green Beret and Delta Force style harsh training. Add in the school making him learn different languages at a young age.
• On days he didn’t do military training, Snake was made to endure intense academic schooling. It was here Snake was pushed to understand the general knowledge of Science, Math, Reading, English, Writing, Workshop Skills at a High School to College level. In addition, understand how to operate most vehicles as well.
• At age 18, he was later placed in the US Army as a 2LT to a Green Beret Unit. The Patriots and his handlers, changed his age date so that he was capable of joining the unit and being a junior officer. He is second in command of the unit and sent to fight in Desert Storm (1990-1991).
• Solid Snake had a short but very successful career in the US Army through the multiple successful missions he completed in that war.
• His missions involved him destroying multiple SCUD launchers, sabotaging Iraqi supply lines, disputing their communication lines, assassination or capturing of top Iraqi officers, and deep reconnaissance within Iraq. His unit would also take part in aiding in liberating Kuwait.
• He is awarded a Silver Star and promotion to Captain before personally being recruited into Fox-Hound by Big Boss himself.
• Big Boss and Roy Campell were coordinating Fox-Hound operations in Desert Storm which is why they knew of Snake’s exploits and saw him as a candidate for the unit.
• Prime Solid Snake is a force to reckon with and is considered to be the best all around Fox-Hound agent along with being the finest practitioner of CQC next to Big Boss and The Boss.
• Big Boss states to Gray Fox at the end of the game that Snake could defeat The Boss with ease had they had fought in a straight hand to hand duel in the 1960s. In short, this is Big Boss way of humbling Gray Fox and telling him to NOT underestimate Snake for when the time comes for Fox to kill him (Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake events).
• Snake’s CQC is unique and deadly in design due to his expert knowledge of various different martial arts from his youth, his mastery of Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and knowledge of CQC handed down to him by Big Boss. Snake incorporates many different forms of Martial Arts to his style of CQC where he adds in striking (punching and kicking), fake or faints, foot work, clinch, ground fighting and grappling.
• Despite being inexperienced, Snake makes up for this by being sure of his skills and not being afraid to pull the trigger. Snake’s real fear is that he is going up against experienced killers and soldiers by himself who can kill him
• Snake’s relationship with Gray Fox is similar to the relationship to what we saw in MGS2 between Solid Snake and Raiden. Only a young Solid Snake is more badass when compared to a young Raiden
• Snake’s relationship to Roy Campell is similar to what we see in MGS. However, the two become friends quickly due to the experiences they share being involved in Desert Storm.
• Roy Campell encourages Snake not to give up and to be sure of himself. He also calms down an enraged Snake when they learn that Big Boss is behind everything.
• Solid Snake's relationship with Big Boss is similar to The Boss and Naked Snake in MGS3 but a lot longer as Big Boss continues to “support” Solid Snake with his mission.
• Fox-Hound, NATO, CIA, FBI and NSA start to put the pieces together that Big Boss is behind everything. He goes off the air and Venom Snake confronts Solid Snake. Rest is history after that.

• He is the commander of Fox-Hound and re-organizes the covert special forces unit to combat terrorism and rogue states trying to get their hands on nuclear weapons.
  
• This was a fear in the 90s and Big Boss being a legendary war hero made him the perfect pick to be the leaders of the organization again
  
• Under his leadership, Fox-Hound is successful in taking out world terrorists, international arms dealers, their backs and having them arrest by allied countries
  
• Big Boss and Roy Campell are awarded medals for their efforts
  
• Big Boss holds the simulated rank of a One Star General in within Fox-Hound due to his vast war experience, successful missions and saving the world several times over
  
• We learn of Big Boss past and how he was an top NCO before MGS3 before being given an rank of officer
  
• Big Boss personally trains Solid Snake and passes his legacy down to him after Snake accepts an open challenge to spare him and hits Big Boss multiple times before losing.
  
• This is a tradition Big Boss would offer recruits during his command. The challenge was that he would train any recruit as his solo student if they could hit him in sparring. Only Snake was the only recruit to do so in Fox-Hound.
  
• Big Boss does care for Solid Snake in a bizarre way and doesn’t want to see him killed unless it's by his hands which he is secretly plotting to do.
  
• In the virtuous and main mission, Big Boss provides support to Solid Snake by giving him advice from his war time experience, how to survive in sneaking around Outer Haven and how to survive off the land.
  
• During Boss battles, Big Boss goes off the air, leaving Campell to assist.
  
• Everyone becomes suspicious of Big Boss when they discover his spy plane has disappeared off radar and it is not far from Outer Haven.
  
• Worse, when intelligence agencies learn that Big Boss was sending message to Outer Heaven HQ (Gray Fox) but they are unaware of who
  
• They create an warrant for his arrest and the rest is history after Venom Snake dies
  Roy Campbell :
  
• He isn’t a full bird colonel yet and is an Lt. Colonel. He is second in command of Fox-Hound.
  
• Big Boss trusted Campell because of the events they shared in MSG:PO and the vast amount of experience he has in counter-terrorism missions to black ops in taking out terrorists leaders.
  
• Campbell quickly befriends Solid Snake due to their shared war experiences in Desert Storm.
  
• Campbell is a skilled tactician and strategist, and is heavily supportive of Solid Snake. He gives Snake (Player) hints and clues to move around in the game. In addition, information on weapons and vehicles.
  
• Last, he gives ideas on how to destroy level bosses
  Gray Fox:
  
• He was on a mission to assassinate Venom Snake after Big Boss discovered that Venom wants to use Nuclear Weapons against Patriot run countries that would trigger a nuclear war. Of course, official members of Fox-Hound are unaware of this and believe he is investigating Outer Haven to learn if they’re involved with terrorists.
  
• He fails his mission that Big Boss assigned to him and is captured by Venom Snake after losing a fight against him.
  
• Venom spares his life and threatens that if he escape, he will personally take him out next time.
  
• After being feed by Solid Snake, Gray Fox is ordered by Big Boss in secret to assist Snake in taking out Venom and later assassinate Snake to cover up everything at Outer Heaven.
  
• However, Gray Fox is unable to help Snake take out Venom after being cut off by a swarm of Outer Haven soldiers. He instead sacrifices himself so that Snake can stop Venom from launching nukes from Metal Gear TX-55. Later, fakes his death so he could return to the real Big Boss and help with Zainabarland
  
• After beating the game, you can play as Gray Fox and see the story through his eyes. Learn more about him, his fighting style and how he assists Solid Snake
  
• His fighting is mixed between his fighting style as Null (MGS:PO), CQC concepts Big Boss passed to him, Knife fighting style and pro gun fighting skills.
  

Venom Snake/Big Boss:

• Venom Snake would have a huge makeover since the events of Metal Gear Solid 5. He has been given nanomachines so that he can survive future medical surgery and look more like Big Boss and stand in for him.
• The horn in his head is removed which almost kills him but the nanomachines prevent this and heal him. They also grant him superhuman abilities that turn him into a super-soldier of sorts. His bionic hand is replaced with a more human-like bionic hand.
• The nanomachines are a precursor to what Vamp would have many years later. Only Venom’s nanos won’t bring him back from the dead, just heal him faster. However, the side effects is that the nanos in him are making him mentally unhinged
• He is given a new sneaking suit to help harness his new abilities and provide extra protection for him. Snake would need to use an Anti-Tank rifle or Anti-Tank rocket launcher to take him out.
• He is not the same man he was in MSG5. He is more militant towards the Patriots, ruthless and cold blooded. A pure demon at this point and isn’t afraid to commit war crimes or allow his men to do so.
• Venom’s prime mission is to destroy the Patriots and nations they run via nuclear strike using TX-55 Metal Gear. However, he knows that Outer Haven will be hit by NATO countries.
• This causes a rift between Venom and Big Boss. Venom sees Big Boss as being weak and is not willing to do enough to destroy the Patriots and is not willing to do whatever it takes to do so.
• However, the rift is created by Master Miller who kept his promise to help make the sons of Big Boss and Venom Snake stronger then Big Boss
• The rift gets so bad that Big Boss suspects Venom is not being loyal to him anymore and sends in Gray Fox to find out what Venom is doing leading to Metal Gear (1987) events and to assassinate him. Fox fails and loses to Venom in a fight. Venom shows mercy and has Fox locked at a maximum security brig at the Outer Haven prison site.
• A Venom Snake respects Solid Snake as he sees how skilled he is but he also plays mind games with him by hinting his relationship to Big Boss.
• He now wears a mask when he goes out in battlefields to fight aside his men so as to keep Big Boss identity hidden. He is dubbed the Masked Phantasm by world intelligence agencies. As far as the world is concerned, nobody knows who the Masked Phantasm is. Some people think he is a student of Big Boss due to CQC abilities. Near the end, he takes the mask off to reveal to Solid Snake who he is Big Boss (fake one).
• Last, we will know of the tragic story of Venom Snake and how really wanted to be a doctor after his contract with Militaires Sans Frontières end.
• Sadly, no one will ever know about Venom Snake and the man he was before his tragic events.
• He will apologize via radio to Big Boss asking his forgiveness and informs him that Solid Snake is not a man but a demon of their own making. Last, he correctly predicts that Snake will defeat the Patriots and do what they failed to do right before the Outer Haven based self destructs.

Supporting Characters
Kyle Schneider

• Developer of Outer Haven and help with building the base. Later, becomes the leader of the Outer Haven resistance force in South Africa after learning of Outer Haven’s war crimes in the region.
• He is captured and the resistance fighters try to scramble to rescue him. They agree to help Fox-Hound and Solid Snake in exchange for the safe return of their leader
• Knows where most of the weapons, foods and other important items are on the base will inform Snake on where to find them.
• Also inform Snake of where vital security checkpoints are and more are located at.
• Is caught in the explosion when NATO destroys what is left of Outer Haven. He is saved by the Real Big Boss.
• He will tragically become the Black Ninja and this leads to the event of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake where he will seek revenge against the world for what has happened to him.

Jennifer Schneider

• She is the sister of Kyle Scheider. She took it upon herself to go and rescue her brother despite not being a soldier or warrior.
• She disguises herself as a nurse and sneaks into the base. She assist Snakes with information and where weapons are at.
• The original game doesn't say what happened to her. So I have her help Solid Snake escape and they watch Outer Haven from a distance get destroyed with NATO delivering air strikes on reminding Outer Haven bases
• She is present when Solid Snake is giving a medal for completing the mission by President Bill Clinton
• The two have a brief relationship before he moves to Canada to be an undercover CIA agent
• Snake helps her find a job in America for her helping him and getting her a green card to stay in America

Diane

• A Goth Punk rocker that has a band called Thin Wall. She performed for Outer Haven several times and knows about the base
• She assists Snake with giving information on Outer Haven bases and the main HQ. Also, info on the mercenaries that operate the bases and informs him of the weakness of the Bosses in the game.
• She has a crush on Solid Snake and is in her early 20s.
• She is present for Solid Snake getting a medal for completing the mission

Drago Pettrovich Madnar

• The developer of the first Metal Gear. His project, himself, his scientist and his daughter are taken hostage by Outer Heaven soldiers
• He is being used to complete TX-55 Metal Gear and develop an custom built nuclear tipped ICBM that can be fired from Metal Gear
• Informs Solid Snake on how to take out Metal Gear He is taken off base by Jennifer after Snakes saves him
• He informs the US Government to send Snake his regards fos saving him

Ellen Madnar

• The daughter of Dr. Madnar. She is being used as a tool to force Dr. Madnar on continuing his work on TX-55 Metal Gear
• She is saved by Snake and escorted off the base by Jennifer
• She is present for Snake getting a medal for completing the mission and stands in for her father

• Expert in science, engineering and responsible for making all of the gadgets Fox-Hound has
• He is also aware of the weapon systems, gadgets and tools that Outer Heaven Soldiers use

So I've beenmarried for 14yrs and in the past year upended our lives in Louisiana and moved to TX. Also in that time I've taken a new job climbing cell towers (gotta feed the adrenaline rush).
That being said we decided both of us could look for friends and playmates seeing as we are both secure in our relationship with each other.
I work in the Denver and surrounding areas for 6 weeks at a time and then go home for a week. So what I'm looking for is a woman who understands that my wife and family come first above all at the same time that also wants some attention.

We’re a newer clan (already lv7) that’s friendly, chill, but competitive for CWL/war. We do everything, including clan games, clan capital and donations. Our main focus is climbing CWL and wars. We’re very active, with 6-10 players on during peak times, & most donations are filled within 45 minutes.

After managing a drop-in for young adults experiencing homelessness in TX for 6 years (without any issues), I took an opportunity at the end of Oct 2022 to move to PA to help rebuild a drop-in that served LGBTQ+ youth of color (and then have someone from that community take over). This drop-in's main focus was offering free non-clinical HIV/STI testing and had lots of turnover and issues before I got there, even losing funding at one point from one local funder but getting it back right before I started.
In Jan 2023 I found that all of the HIV tests were expired since June 2021, which could cause inaccurate results. I checked with the Team Lead, who was the main tester and had worked there for years, and they said they never realized this. I immediately texted my supervisor about it and that I was going to reach out to our DoH contact, but received no response. This was not shocking to me since I was provided with little support from my supervisor. I had asked multiple times for staff job descriptions, a purchase card, to go over new program policies and procedures I created, gift cards that were promised to clients, and received nothing. He also never did an introductory email for me like he did with others, never got me a keycard, never got me in contact with anyone he said he would, would miss or rush our few supervisions, and even missed an interview I scheduled around him (despite me always dropping anything to help him when asked).
So the next day I reached out to our contact at the DoH, which is where we order the tests from, report the results to, and get reimbursed from (when testing is done properly). Once the DoH responded, they CCed my agency's leadership and said to dispose of the tests, reach out to all those tested since June 2021, and that since there had been so much turnover the tests would still be reimbursed.Later that day my supervisor told me in-person I shouldn't have given the DoH all that information. I found this worrisome since we have an agreement with the DoH. Then the next week my supervisor and the Team Lead had some kind of meeting off-site, which my gut told me was suspicious, especially when the Team Lead came back from it with a big smile on their face looking around at the drop-in.
A few days later I was terminated by my supervisor with HR present. I was confused and asked why and was given a couple benign reasons like forgetting a signature (which I fixed), but was also told because I told the DoH about the tests and I never told my supervisor about them and it should have been handled internally. I have screenshots of my text to my supervisor, texts to my partner and friends about it, and even took a screenshot of the email to the DoH right after.
It took me a while, but I found a pre-litigation lawyer (no fee unless settlement), and they sent the agency a demand letter stating I was retaliated against for making a good faith report to the DoH. The agency responded saying they will not settle because there were multiple concerns and complaints about me and I was given opportunity to make improvements in areas where I was falling below expectations and did not improve. However, I never had any meetings, emails, or documents about any issues like that. Nonetheless, my agreement with the lawyer was only pre-litigation, so that was as far as they could take me.
Then weeks later I get a random text from a Team Member of the program saying that I was setup by the Team Lead because they wanted me fired and to take my position. Then it clicked. A month or so after starting, the agency changed the requirements for managers allowing experience to be substituted for a degree, which is what prevented the Team Lead from becoming a manager. If I am to be conspiratorial, I believe my supervisor was upset with me for making him looking bad and putting the program's funding at risk and met with the Team Lead who could help come up with reasons to terminate me so they could take my position.
Now the tests were just one major issue I found. During my time I also found no one knew where the STI test results were going, some STI tests weren't being sent out due to a label maker issue, many of the client files were incomplete or incorrect, and that off-site testing sites were likely not approved by the DoH. But after finding this, I reestablished the communication line with the lab (contact info was still set to a manager who left at the end of 2021), got the label maker fixed, started looking into the files, and asked the DoH for approved locations. Mind you all of these issues were occurring while the Team Lead was there and they never tried to fix them or knew about them, so promoting them to manager doesn't make sense to me since I believe they should have been terminated for putting clients at risk for so long. And I could go on about other issues there were and accomplishments I had (in less than 3 months), but these are most relevant to the post.
Overall, I'm not sure of my next move, if any. I was unable to find employment in PA, so moved back to TX where I am starting a job soon after 5 months without income. Therefore, I won't be in PA or able to afford a lawyer, but also am not sure how strong the case would be in court. To me it's simple, I reported the tests, was terminated a week later, and was told one of the reasons why was because of reporting the tests. However, it doesn't appear to be that simple since they felt they didn't need to settle and would risk going to court.
I have also thought about leaving reviews, telling media, or informing the funders of these issues that I found, but I also don't know how "legally" safe I am to do that. I also worry about harming the program in a way that would affect the clients, but also know there are so many other (and better) resources in the community now since the program originated.
Any advice for a smart path forward?

Hey, fellow drone enthusiasts! I'm planning to build a racing drone under 200 grams and wanted to get some feedback on the components I have selected so far. I want to make sure I'm on the right track with my choices. Here's what I have in mind:

I've done my research and tried to select components that are lightweight and suitable for a sub-200g racing drone build. However, I'm open to suggestions or any advice from the experienced builders out there. Are there any compatibility issues that I might have missed? Are there better alternatives for any of the components I've listed?
I'm particularly concerned about keeping the weight low while maintaining performance and durability. Also, I want to ensure the components work well together for a smooth flying experience.

We're now in that sweet spot after A-Day and before Summer OVs/Camp Season where it makes sense to take note and reflect. Remember that camp season likely changes this board dramatically and we'll see a good # of decision (both to Alabama and elsewhere) throughout June and early July.

Overview: Barring something crazy, a team's QB will be the most important player on the field 9 times out of 10. Bama's looked around for a potential 2nd option but is pretty content with their 5* QB of the Future already commited

1. 5* Julian Sayin	Carlsbad in Carlsbad, CA (SoCal)	247: #11 , On3: #14, Comp2: #12	One of the most "ready" prospects in the 2024 class, Julian is very skilled at every facet of QB play - might not be the highest ceiling from an NFL perspective but very likely the highest floor. Julian commited to Alabama somewhat out of the blue but has been locked in since and the Tide's primary leader on offense in this class. This is your QB of the Future.

Overview: Alabama has good RB depth heading into 2023 but could very likely lose both Jase and Roydell at the end of the year so 2 RBs again this cycle feels right. It's doubtful it'll have the star power of the Haynes/Young duo from '23 but I would not sleep on the 2024 targets.

1. 4* Kevin Riley	Tuscaloosa County in Northport, AL (Tuscaloosa area)	247: #97, On3: #102, Comp2: #99	A homegrown talent, Riley does it all, running with great balance, breaks contact and gets going in a hurry. Top 3 of Bama, Auburn, UGA - this should end up being an Iron Bowl battle that Alabama wins, though it does appear Riley might take his time. If Alabama pushes hard, he could be a summer commit.
2. 4* Daniel Hill	Meridian in Meridian, MS (E MS)	247: #196, On3: #194, Comp2: #195	One of the more unique RB prospects, Daniel Hill is a big bodied guy but plays a ton of receiver as well - not a comparison but could have a Najee Harris-esque roll. Alabama is battling South Carolina here, with the Cocks having some buzz after an early Bama lean. Bama is not done here but might need to press harder.
3. 4* Nate Frazier	Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA (SoCal)	247: #76, On3: #74, Comp2: #75	One of the nation's top RB prospects with some of the best long speed, Nate Frazier will push for #1 back status in 2024. Frazier is pretty wide open currently, being highly desired by both the local west coast school and the SEC powerhouses. I'd have trouble projecting him anywhere yet but it would be really cool if it was Alabama.

Overview: Alabama has taken 10 non-transfer WRs over the past 2 cycles so while I think they'll take a normal # in 2024, I'd lean more towards 3 than 4 total, unless a 'best available' type wants in

A bit of a suprise to some, Bama had seen him previously in camp and then watched his fall progress and saw what they needed to pull the trigger. I think we'll finish in the top 150-170

1. 4* Amari Jefferson	Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN	247: #270, On3: #288, Comp2: #279	My favorite realistic WR addition - his vertical and lateral speed POP off the screen, looks like a top 75 guy. Currently a Tennessee baseball commit, football is his likely future, as Alabama and Georgia battle it out. This will be a tough battle but one I very much hope the Tide wins.
2. 4* Aeryn Hampton	Carthage in Carthage, TX (E TX)	247: #116, On3: #126, Comp2: #121	More fast than quick, Aeryn runs like a RB, weaving through traffic and hitting the jets. Aeryn has been up-front about his love for Alabama and has narrowed his list to Bama and Texas, his former commitment. Aeryn has the green light to commit but seems like a guy who could go back and forth so unclear where this ends up.
3. 4* Cam Coleman	Central in Phenix City, AL (E AL)	247: #54, On3: #25, Comp2: #38	This guy's the real deal - big bodied but with slot speed and one of the best high-pointers in the class. Alabama's been trying to get him on campus and he's been uninterested, so the communication has been laid back. Cam and Perry Thompson kinda fill the same role so it's not a huge concern but Auburn is leading here and would give Hugh Freeze a real weapon.

Overview: I think *how* Tommy Rees constructed/called his ND offenses is a bit overblown in how his Bama offenses will look (you play with the talent you have) but Bama has been trying to find their Kyle Pitts/Brock Bowers/Michael Mayer for years now - really since OJ Howard/Irv Smith with a brief detour into Jahleel Billingsley. Alabama would like multiple bodies here if available but would really like a least one really good on in 2024

Top 3 of Bama, UGA, and Texas but suprise suprise, this looks like another Bama/UGA battle. Feel better about Bama in this one but it's close and OVs will be big.
2. 4* IOL Casey Poe	Lindale in Lindale, TX (E TX)	247: #142, On3: #134, Comp2: #138	One of the most coveted interior prospects, Poe boasts both a mean streak as well as the ability to move the center, making him about as A1 as you can get for an interior OL prospect. Top 3 currently would be Alabama, Oklahoma, and UGA. Will be a tough battle but Alabama is the perceived leader heading into visits. Bama REALLY wants him.
3. 4* OL Jordan Seaton	IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL (Originally from Washington DC)	247: #41, On3: #42, Comp2: #41	Big, athletic frame who could end up playing inside or out - Seaton prefers OT but somecurrently leaning towards IOL. Ohio State was and is very involved but Bama/UGA feel like the primary players since making the move to IMG. I believe he visited for the A-Day game and it certainly seems like Bama will be an option until the end here.
4. 4* OT Marques Easley	Kankakee in Kankakee, IL (NE IL)	247: #263, On3: #240, Comp2: #251	A longer and leaner tackle prospect, Bama and UGA are again involved with Tennessee being the 3rd team in the mix, as well as the possible leader. Despite the Vols' early lead, this one can really go any direction after visits.
5. 4* OT Weston Davis	Beaumont United in Beaumont, TX (SE TX)	247: #180, On3: #124, Comp2: #152	A basketball-first prospect with high-upside as an OT, Davis has some interest in Bama but local programs like Texas A&M are getting some good recent buzz. Think it'll be paramount for Weston to camp.

If that sounds like Quinnen Williams, it's because that's the comp he's been getting. Many thought he'd be a sooner or later kinda commit and he went ahead and stopped messing around.

Another prospect that I think comes down to Bama and UGA, I feel better about Bama's chances here than with Eddrick's Buford teammate, KJ Bolden.
2. 4* DT Terrance Hibler	Holmes County Central in Lexington, MS (Cent MS)	247: #281, On3: #368, Comp2: #324	A bit undersized, Terrance makes up for it with violence, punch, and pure 'want-to'. Alabama has made a great early impression, alongside local Miss State, and the Tide are in a great spot if they choose to push here.
3. 3* DE Utah Commit Isaia Faga	Central in Phenix City, AL (E AL)	247: #733, On3: #676, Comp2: #704	Alabama has seen some recent success with Pacific Island players but it's rare to have one so local. Isaia excels at getting through traffic and getting into the backfield. Isaia's uncle is the Utah DL coach, leading to the early commitment, but Alabama is interested in seeing him camp and who knows where it could go from there.

Since last year, Cayden had been up-front about wanting the green light to commit and jumped on it when he got the chance.

Visits to Alabama, Ohio State, Miami, South Carolina and UGA have put all 5 in contention, similar to Keeley. I'd give the Gamecocks and Hurricanes the edge going into the summer but Alabama is RIGHT there and another visit to campus could flip the script.
2. 4* Jordan Ross	Vestavia Hills in Birmingham, AL	247: #38, On3: #33, Comp2: #35	A high-end Edge, Jordan flashes natural talent that can only grow with development. A little undersized, Alabama has told him to gain weight and camp prior to a serious pursuit, giving UGA and Tennessee an early lead. This could change quickly this summer, as Jordan finds his way onto campus.
3. 5* Colin Simmons	Duncanville in Duncanville, TX (DFW Metro)	247: #4, On3: #3, Comp2: #3	One of the Nation's top athletes, Simmons effortlessly flies around off the edge. LSU and Texas are battling it out thus far but Alabama will continue to work here.

Overview: There's somewhat of a logjam of older player at the LB position so I would expect attrition after 2023, which will need to be replaced by incoming players.

1. 5* UGA Commit Demarcus Riddick	Chilton County in Clanton, AL (Cent AL)	247: #25, On3: #38, Comp2: #31	Demarcus is an excellent example of a modern LB and exactly what Alabama wants from the position: excellent weaving through traffic, sideline-to-sideline movement and can shade down to rush the passer. An early UGA commit, the strength of that commitment has wavered significantly and while there's still some work to do, the feeling is he could very likely flip to Alabama over the summer.
2. 5* Justin Williams	Oak Ridge in Conroe, TX (Houston area)	247: #13, On3: #12, Comp2: #12	Similarly archetypal LB prospect: a bit slight at the moment, he makes up for it with WR-level speed and burst, making him a real weapon against a high-powered offense. Oregon, Alabama, and UGA are the likely top 3 - Bama made a good impression this spring but needs to get him back on campus ASAP - feels like UGA could swoop in here if Riddick flips.
3. 4* Bradley Shaw	Hoover in Hoover, AL (Birmingham area)	247: #176, On3: #139, Comp2: #157	More of a traditional ILB, football IQ and sure tackling give him a Shaun Dion Hamilton feel. Alabama, Auburn, and UGA are the top 3 schools and this feels like Iron Bowl battle, where Alabama will win or lose based on how they push to reel him in.

Overview: You gotta take a solid # of DBs every cycle but CB is one of the most important/most needed positions in 2024 after losses to the transfer portal.

Jaylen is the defensive leader of the class and will be pretty instrumental in how the defensive class comes together.

1. 5* CB Charles Lester III	Riverview in Sarasota, FL (Cent FL)	247: #16, On3: #19, Comp2: #17	An all-around athlete with the ability to play multiple DB positions, CL3 could be commited or off the board at any moment. There's a clear interest in Alabama on his end but the Tide have yet to really push, leaving the door wide open for FSU. He OVs on June 3rd so it's likely that we'll have a better idea of where Bama goes after that.
2. 4* CB Jameer Grimsley	Tampa Catholic in Tampa, FL	247: #230, On3: #195, Comp2: #212	Somewhat of the prototypical Saban corner, with a long and lean build and a wingspan for days. Jameer has seen his recruitment skyrocket this spring and schools like Bama, FSU, and Penn State are pushing. Bama's got a great shot for this prospect who should continue to rise.
3. 4* S UGA Commit Peyton Woodward	St. John Bosco in Bellflower, CA (SoCal)	247: #69, On3: #70, Comp2: #69	Peyton shows good play speed and flows to the target in run defense; a good balanced safety. Peyton has not been shy about letting other programs try to flip him from the Dawgs and his family is full of Alabama fans, making the Tide a very possible flip option.
4. 4* CB Zabien Brown	Mater Dei in Santa Ana, CA (SoCal)	247: #57, On3: #56 , Comp2: #56	Zabien is a physical pass defender who excels at getting in passing lanes and making plays on the ball - not a specimen but a true competitor. As a Mater Dei kid, the axiom has been USC most often has first right of refusal so we'll see how the summer visits go and if Bama can/will make a push here.
5. 5* S KJ Bolden	Buford in Buford, GA (Atlanta Metro)	247: #8, On3: #5, Comp2: #6	Likely the top DB in the 2024 class, KJ is how they come; a true 5* safety. UGA has a healthy lead thus far but Bama (alongside others) will have a chance to fight back during summer OVs
6. 5* CB UGA Commit Ellis Robinson IV	IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL (Originally from CT)	247: #5, On3: #7, Comp2: #6	One of the stickiest DBs in the class, Ellis was the other 5* CB alongside Alabama freshman Desmond Ricks at IMG in 2023. Alabama led early but UGA got the momentum and the commitment. It's likely Ellis will take visits, including a potential OV to Alabama, but I would not predict a flip to Alabama at this time or in the future.

Hey all! I think I just want to discuss my frustration to people who may understand ( and my husband gets angry at me lol)
So I am in PA as an advisory sr mgr with 12+yrs exp with IA focus and recently shifted more towards data analytics/ automation/ technology type work. This might not even be organized thoughts but I just needed an outlet.
I enjoy the nature of my work- I like to learn the new tools and solve problems and really think how so can make people lives easier. I don’t like to sell an idea that sounds good but not yet feasible within my abilities but rather things I know we can achieve with what we have.

1. I have been having some issues with a new boss and the way his management style work. He is definitely a tech person ( not a practitioner) and just very much a sales person. The half ass things we sell and then have to rush to do just gets on my nerves. And the billions of meetings for everything and prep meeting for the meeting… I just don’t work well like that.
   
2. Most firms speak to career development but I am tired of going around circles. At one point I have the aspiration to make it to partner ( like many of you) but I am frustrated because no matter who I go to ( practice lead or local partner) to get an assessment of really how I am doing or what I need to do to even get to the next steps or understand the criteria for each upward level, I get no answers. So just be there cause someone like you even if you aren’t technically sound? Ok that’s fine too and I just want an answer so I can assess and plan for myself.
   

3.I deliberately have been working less OT but occasionally, I just want to sit down when it’s quite to think through problems or try things and my husband just gets upset. He is constantly telling me how I need to say no and just tell clients (and my boss) to go eff it which obviously isn’t a realistic thing. This is clearly a personal problem and I am wondering if any of you have a spouse like that who just can’t seem to understand you need a f**king pay check for now and doing what he said is opposite of that.

1. The firm I am at is large and I see it trying to change to become more like big 4 ish with the metrics and how upward communication is but the pay obviously isn’t keeping up and I always wonder what I am doing with my life. We see many of you being able to get an “out” and make it to another place with a huge bump and I have been searching — however, recruiters I have spoken with and posting I see just isn’t what I’d expect in my next pay or so just don’t hear back. I also wanted to pivot out and maybe get in a data centric space but because I don’t have technical program Background, it’s been difficult to be considered. I just want more pay lol like I don’t feel like any of my credentials meant anything when I feel like I am living pay check to pay check in TX. I mean, I can save a little bit definitely not where we can freely invest or just get a second car or anything like that.
   
2. I honestly don’t know if I should even do this anymore. Some days I do long for just even more flexibility— I want to be able to go to be gym and actually make lunch without rushing and I don’t want to be on other time zone schedules and have 7am calls. I want a healthier life and I don’t think this is giving me that. The mental bearing of all these thoughts and just life in general are giving my anxiety and I am just anxious about a lot of things. I was always one of those who will just wing whatever and deal with what comes along but I find that I cannot do that anymore.
   

Idk what I am looking for really, any advice or words of wisdom is appreciated.

To make a long story short, I've waited for 2.5 years on this other clinic. they slow as fuck and aren't helping. may 1st, I managed to rush for the sign up at this other clinic that actually does a damn and doesn't make you have 1 appointment per month for a MINIMUM of 6. (and they won't try to ostracise me for being nonbinary thankfully)
Now it all feels like it's gonna actually do something for me goddamnit.
Im not like happy or something im just like "about time bitch damn" Like when your chronically late to everything friend shows up on time for dinner.
