So I pulled all of my money out of my account, as I always do and keep it in a lock box beside me in my vehicle. I was at the Dead and Company show in Pittsburgh and someone took it upon themselves to break my window and steal my bag. Instead of my face. I've been working in a sales rep position for the last year, and unfortunately because I'm in a startup environment, I've been woofully undersupoorted by my company in multiple areas. After coming back from bereavement leave, I was automatically put on a performance improvement plan (PIP). Well after a week of working towards all the goals they set out for me, today I had a call with my manager where he kept alluding to my poor current June quota. My quota for this month to be clear, is not part of my PIP. I asked him "if I were to exceed all aspects of my PIP, would I still be let go?". He hesitated and then told me it was a posssibility. Obviously that was demotivating. Here's the thing though, I don't know if I want to keep my job. I want to stay around until the end and be potentially let go to qualify for unemployment. But it also doesn't feel right that this manager said this to me. What do I do?

Hi all, I have an lg c9 and am looking to purchase a soundbar system for it. I'll mainly being using it for video games(ps5), movies(streaming websites + plex) and occasionally sports. I have a discount coupon that I can use to purchase a bose soundbar 900 for around 500$, would this be a sound investment? I read that this soundbar would require me to purchase the bass module as well (700$). I was also looking at the sony HT-A9 my home is a open concept living space so there is no walls to bounce the sounds off but I do have low ceilings so the upward firing speakers would be great. I do like the look of the HT-A9 4 speaker system. I see that they are around $1150 on amazon, but I also read that these should be purchased with the bass module as well..I saw reviews saying that Q990 series from samsung is a great all in one system since it includes everything and you can purchase it with a .edu email for around $1000~.
So thats my dilemma, if you have any opinions I would greatly appreciate it. Would it be worth to simply by the soundbar 900 alone for around 500 or spend a bit more on either the ht-a9 or the samsung? THank you!

Hello, I just had the worst string of luck and one of the worst experiences in the world of URW so allow me to rant my frustrations a bit.
My story begins with me taking all my valuables and setting off to Kaumo to seek if I can find a master blacksmith who could forge me one of the most elusive weapons in the game: masterwork Kaumo spear!
For those who might not have noticed it before, this particular weapon has been one of the rarest things you can find along with mastercraft ango. I thought perhaps the new blacksmith update might change this. Well no such luck, not in my world at least. It seems there was no blacksmith skilled enough to craft mastercraft Kaumo items in my world, or I just failed to find the village he was hiding in.
After the disappointment I set course to return home. Running out of smoked meat it was about time to call it for the summer anyway. Nearly back home I get caught outside in a moonless midnight so dark that vision is 0 tiles. I panic, thinking no way this is the moment I get a serious encounter... And as luck would have it: robbers!
I tell you, I dislike robbers even in the most optimal of cases. Something about them just rubs me the wrong way, they always get a full surround encounter and their loot is rarely worth anything, but you always risk losing everything but your life. High risk, low gain. And either their stats are exceptionally high or I just have bad luck. So really not a fan!
Well I'm armed with fine broadsword and mastercraft round shield. I'm only decently skilled with both around 50% skill. I know I will be outnumbered and the visibility is 0 tiles. Things seem dire even before the battle starts. They carry torches so they shine in the forest while I can't see the tile before me. I start backing blindly away until I hit a wall of trees to guard my back. I wait one turn and the bandits initiate the robbery, and I challenge them to fight.
I get the first turn, my broadsword slashes a solid hit to abdomen, the bandit starts to bleed. I think to myself this might just work out. Well, joke's on me as I end up facing the most embarrassing and frustrating defeat I have ever had.
He hits me with a regular spear, I choose to block which fails and he scores a solid hit, which only does a minor puncture to my abdomen, 6% injury. I know penalties stack and any wound makes further wounds that much easier, so first hit landing is still terrible news against a group of enemies. My next swing really needs to hit now before more of them run up to me. Fate had other plans, my slash gets counterstruck with another minor puncture to abdomen. 7% injury this time. Worst of all my character decides this is too much for him and passes out with total 13% injury!
So this is how my decently rolled character lost all his gear and quit living in frustration, as the bandits didn't even do him the courtesy of ending his life. If I have to gather new wealth anyway I might as well start over hopefully with somebody who doesn't pass out on two minor wounds!

On final note: Has any of you found mastercraft kaumo spear or ango recently? And why doesn't Kaumo blacksmith know how to craft Kaumolais knife?

Here's what I mean: let's say an American firm designs a project for a site in France. However, America uses imperial units while France uses measuring units. How will the American firm measure/dimension its project?
There are standard dimensions that many American projects follow. For example, ceiling heights are 8' tall, hallways are 4' wide, countertops are 3' tall, etc.
How would they propose these measurements to French engineers/construction workers? They may not understand feet/inches as intuitively as Americans. Similarly, we Americans may not have as intuitive of an understanding of meters as the French. What if French construction workers misinterpret 4 feet as 4 meters instead of 1.21 meters?
If the American firm simply dimensions its project in feet/inches and then translates these measurements to French workers, the conversions would read as "the hallway is 1.219 meters wide, this window mullion is 15.24 centimeters thick, etc." when the French workers may want their dimensions in whole numbers or have the project adhere to clearly defined building measurements/building codes in *their* home country.
How will a firm communicate their measurements if their project will be built in another country that does not use the same measuring system?

Hello. I am 25F and I have been struggling with emotional eating from when I was a child. I had a mom that will hide the “good” food from me and my brother so we won’t eat to much. As no surprise both me and my brother are overweight now.
I was overweight from the age of 10. It wasn’t drastic when I was younger but the it got worst after 18. In march 2020 I was 97kg. I kinda maintained it till last year when I gave birth and I stopped working.. Last time I checked I was weighing 117kg in winter. But I haven’t weighed myself recently as I am really afraid of what numbers I will see.. I am assuming over 120kg. My height is 5,5 foot/ 1.65.
I have started working from home so I am mainly sitting at the desk. When I am not working I am looking after my 1 year old.
My partner is a skinny b**** and he will say he wants to help me and then randomly at 10pm will ask me if I want a cookie dough.. not much support from him.
Done therapy I know the issue is my mind that finds comfort in food..my favourite thing to do is eating trash food and watch netflix. After I finish a meal I am already looking forward for the next one…
I have tried everything.. intermittent fasting, keto, low calories. They do work but I always give up after 3 weeks.
I need help please. I need some suggestions and advice for everything really. From routine to mind tricks to keep me on track. Recipes, exercise? What did work for you?

This is a rant and wanted to see if anyone else is having a similar experience. Also a could be a post in the fencesitter sub.
Got married summer 2022. Bought our house Oct 2022. Our area is expensive and has high taxes. I didn’t want to move too far away because of work and wanted to stay close to family. Found a house a little over 400k. Good school district. 3 beds and 3 baths so enough room if we decide to have kids. Now my husband’s work has cooled down to the point that he is making about half of what he did last year. We stretched our budget so we could have a forever home without anticipating such a blow, especially when our careers were supposed to be picking up. The way things are going I can’t imagine budgeting for a kid or 2…when we bought this house with kids in mind. So it’s either be child free or sell and move somewhere cheaper. It’s just fucking sucky to think one reason standing in the way of having kids is our house that we bought for the purpose of being kid-friendly. And even if we do downgrade we wouldn’t be able to find something at a lower enough cost to make that big of a difference in mortgage payments in our area…especially with rates going up. UGH!

What Transformers: Rise of the Beasts About:
Optimus Prime and the Autobots take on their biggest challenge yet. When a new threat capable of destroying the entire planet emerges, they must team up with a powerful faction of Transformers known as the Maximals to save Earth. For a while, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts looked like it might be another Bumblebee--a Transformers movie that lacks any of the pizzazz of the Michael Bay flicks but which actually tells a decent story about characters you actually care about. Hey I've been at my sales job for over 2 months now. Training went longer than they said and I've been running leads for a month or so now. They give me the bottom of the barrel. In my youthful teenage years (15-16) my family moved to many new areas. In one of these new areas a new horror awaited me... I made a few friends in this new area, we'd hang out in the local park or the adjoining street.

New area was dangerous, friends going down the drug/prison path , my mental health was going to hell and i would've ended up dead or prison if i carried on hanging out with these friends or even leaving the house
Just before i embraced the hikikomori life, i thought I'd go see my old friends from my previous area, it'd been a year or so since i seen them. Going back was huge mistake. That's pretty much the end of my story. In recent days i made a new FB account but quickly deleted it, i made the account just so i could chat with my sisters, i even used a fake funny name and put a korean man as my profile picture, i only added one of my sisters then i noticed in my find friends recommendations was the bastard girl who accused me of rape, why is she appearing in my find friends list i wonder, does she want to apologise or cause me more grief, I've never had her as a friend on FB, has she been searching my name on fb all these years, does the fb algorithms know its me because im using the same email as last time i was there...
I'm met with a flood of emotions, anger, hate, sadness, confusion and the desire to confront the bastard woman who put me through all this, i start panicking and delete my account .. Is confronting her a smart move? Or best to leave the past in the past

Long read ahead, sorry in advance:
For context we were a (F33 and M28) couple who were living together in our Florida home and were in a relationship for 5 years. Everything related to our home is under her name because her credit was higher and she was applying for a loan through some special program for first responders and it looked better if I stayed off of it.
We officially broke up on October 31,2021 and I left her home November 4th to stay with family and figure out where I would be going to settle next. In that time she agreed that I could move all of my valuables and personal belongings into my old office, lock the door, and store it until I found a new home. Inside my office had been stored an Anime figure collection that I had collected over the years, my computer, cameras and lenses, my firearms/suppressors, basically everything I had amassed of value since we met and before.
On week 2 of November her mother came to stay with her and I knew immediately what was happening. She comes from a very abusive Hispanic household. When we met she was still living with her family and under her stepfather and mother's tumb. They have abused her mentally and physically since she was a child (which is a whole other issue). When we met we very quickly got her away from them (300 miles away) and ever since then they blamed me for losing their daughter. The second they found out we broke up her mother went to stay with her. They were on okay terms by this point and my ex didn't want to be home alone so she agreed. During her stay she was caught trying to get into my office and my ex told her if she tried to get in again she would need to leave and to stay out of her personal life. She seemed to respect her wishes and continued her stay a few more weeks until the morning of November 29th.
On the morning of November 29th at around 7am while still asleep and without my ex's knowledge her mother let her husband into the home. He proceeded to break into my locked office and start throwing (and I mean this literally) everything I had displayed in my glass cabinets into boxes damaging, breaking, and full on stepping on and breaking everything in their path. Her brother who had come to assist her stepfather had slapped her on the face to wake her up and said they were here to remove everything of mine from the home (against her will). When she got up and pleaded with her family to stop what they were doing and leave her stepfather replied by calling her pathetic, to find the nearest tall bridge and kill herself.
She then left her home in a panic and overwhelmed with 3 people against her and refusing to leave and immediately called me. I was 300 miles away staying with my parents when I got the call.
She was in a panic and hysterically crying unable to control herself. I told her to please calm down and to hang up with me and call the cops. She became more hysterical at the thought of calling the cops on her family, she was afraid of her stepfathers reaction, feared for her life and mine and refused. She hung up on me in hysterics and I called our local police and they refused to go unless I told them believed someone's life was being threatened (which I believed was), I was told by dispatch that otherwise it is a civil matter and nothing could be done. I told them I did and they agreed to send a squad car out and check. Telling me I would get a call back with a follow up (I never did) and to hold tight.
I immediately got in my car and started the 3 hour drive to her home.
Upon arriving her stepfather had fled taking my firearms, computer, pressure washer, my knives, and a few thousand dollars of ammo. In the time she was gone her brother and stepfather got into a fight and smashed one of my display cabinets destroying everything in the cabinet and causing the other 5 to topple into one another breaking and damaging the remainder of the things not thrown into boxes as well as destroying a massive 54x38 piece of art I had on the wall and putting a huge hole in the drywall. I asked why the cops had not removed them from the premises she told me that she was scared of how her stepfather would react and it forced her to say nothing was wrong. I called got a hold of the responding officers and was told there was nothing they could do even after being shown the state of my office because the home owner did not request they be removed after my ex lied to them. I reiterated all of this to the officer and they said once again that they are very sorry but it's a civil matter and there is nothing they can do.
After realizing he was commiting a felony by stealing my firearms and suppressor he left them on my parents doorstep upon returning to my home town (they also live in my old home town) they took my guns and a fired them on their way home as evidenced by the ones that were clean and stored having unspent powder and dirty hand prints all over them. Later that same night her brother stopped by and dropped off my computer. They kept my pressure washer for 3 weeks after stealing it, used it, and only returned it after they found out that I called their local police and was going to show up with proof of ownership and retrieve it. They have still not returned my knives or one of the 1000 round case of .223 they stole.
By the time I arrived her mother had already cleaned up and boxed everything and thrown it in me ex's garage. While through my things her mother was still there and refusing to leave. My ex was recording every conversation they had after her husband left and has audio evidence of her saying she was happy her husband did what he did, her as she was screaming and threatening to hurt me and my family, and her telling my ex that she was happy her husband stole my property.
I wanted to sue when it all happened but for fear of her stepfather and that her mother losing her home health business my ex refused to help me sue them. I felt the amount of undeniable evidence I had was not enough to win a case against them. My ex has all the pictures/all the text between her and her motheall the recordings.
In the weeks following the insident her family was caught driving by my parents home to check and see if I was there. It stopped once we threatened to file a restraining order (I still wish I had).
My ex has since cut contact with her family. The damages amounted to about 20k worth of actual loss (I know collection values can be weird in cases the actual amount with the collections current value is closer to 25k to replace everything that was broken or damaged). What recourse do we have if any? Can the recordings be used under Florida Law? What would y'all suggest?
That's about everything important. There were a ton more disheartening thing in relation to the way my ex's family treated her and me that day and following that day. It's extremely complicated and she is now working through 34 years of trauma and abuse. And in the end I cared more about her than the money which is why I didn't put her through forcing her to take them to court with me at the time. It's just a lose lose situation all around.

I was having issues with my internet allll day today which means no work because I work from home and it also means nothing to keep me entertained. Now I just went out to sit In a cafe since mobile network also sucks at home. Anyway I’m kinda bored and just sitting here browsing the internet alone and it sucksss. So I thought I’d look for someone to chat with while I’m here. Maybe a new friend. I’ll give you a cookie if we become friends:)

I'm looking for a monogamous, lifelong relationship with a good woman. A relationship that we work to make it the best it can be til we wave goodbye to this world. With this in mind, here are things I'm looking for and believe in:

• Attraction is important. You keep in shape, as I do, and we work to maintain that over the years and decades to the best of our ability and never let ourselves go. The body types I find attractive are petite/slender, athletic and toned, or average build but with a flat stomach.
  
• You're obedient/submissive. I believe the man should lead and the woman follow. I don't want a doormat. I want a first mate to my Captain. You should proactively share your thoughts, ideas and opinions and we'll discuss them, and if we're not on the same page, you support and follow the decisions I make.
  
• You're respectful. This has many expressions, but one of which is any disagreements/arguments are "behind closed doors" and private, never public. We never belittle each other in front of others, and should never be done privately for that matter, but instead, build each other up.
  
• You're very committed. This is a lifelong journey, not a blast out the starting gate, only to fade in time. You're a "ride or die" kinda girl, in this to the end, with a fiery devotion and loyalty to me and our relationship, as I am to you. We have each other's backs, all the time.
  
• Sex, when it happens (in an exclusive, lifelong, committed relationship) and with rare exceptions, should be frequent, enthusiastic and we always make ourselves available to the other. Think once a day or more rather than once a week.
  
• You put in the effort to have a great relationship, and you get the same in return from me.
  
• You're open and communicative, and have no problem saying what you want or need, or freely discussing a variety of topics. If you're more shy and reserved, you work on improving your communication skills.
  
• Speaking of, you believe in continual improvement, and work toward bettering yourself and not resting on your laurels. You apply this to yourself, our relationship and life in general. You can expect the same from my side.
  
• You’re mentally and emotionally healthy, as am I. You don’t bring tons of baggage into a new relationship. To put it in airplane terms, you can fit yours into the carry on bin, and it doesn’t need to be stored in the cargo hold.
  
• You're imperfect, as am I. You don't hold unreasonable or unattainable standards (in yourself, me or others), nor do you make excuses for things we can change for the better.
  
• We forgive when we mess up, and work to make things right.
  
• You're feminine, comforting, nurturing and encouraging. You're my biggest cheerleader. I'm your rock to lean on.
  
• You handle almost all domestic duties. I'll take care of the outdoor stuff. We pitch in and help each other as needed, but maintain distinct roles for the most part.
  
• Ideally, you'll be a full time stay at home wife (or maybe work part time) and you make me, our home and family your mission. If you want to work full time and pursue a career, I'd support you in that, but my preference is you staying home and running the household.
  
• And, of course, you're a Christian and take your faith seriously.
