In this episode of In The Great Khan’s Tent Presents: The Later Mughals we continue with the struggle of the three sons of Aurangzeb, this time focusing on the two strongest candidates, Bahadur Shah and Azim Shah and the beginning of the culmination of this conflict with the start of the battle of Jajau on the 20th of June 1707 C.E.
We also examine Azam Shah’s struggles with the loyalty of some of his prominent supporters and their own competing interests began to be more clearer in this episode with the culmination of the actions taken by two prominent supporters, Zulfikar Khan and Raja Jai Singh Kachhwaha, and how it effected the struggle at Jajau.
As in the last episode, Azam Shah’s own personality faults can be attributed to result from Aurangzeb’s own suspicious nature also plays a role in how he reacted to ongoing developments.

2023.06.08 21:47 Spectro510 What resin printer to get

I want to upgrade my equipment
Hi, I've been printing since 2020 and I love it. I currently own an Ender 3 Pro and a Anycubic Photon S. Since january, I started doing commisions and taking it as a side-job. It's going great so far and I want to upgrade my machines, specially the resin one as is the one I use the most.
I was thinking about buying the M3 Max, as I thought that it's the best option for my budget (around 1k$) but yesterday read that it doesn't have the best quality and that there's another two big options, the Phrozen Sonic Mega 8k and the Elegoo Jupiter 6k
Then, about a month ago I posted this and someone told me to check the GKTwo. I bought it and had an horrible experience with their stock, the shipment (I'm from Canary Islands), etc. So after 4 800€ refunds I gave up and started looking for another option
I received an email with a ton of new Elegoo products, and another one about the Photon m5 and m5s, which is a 12k, 10" printer about half the price of the GKTwo?
I'm also seeing a lot of posts of people printing great results with the Mini 8k, but I'd like to have a bigger printing area
What printer do you recommend me? I guess it's not necessary to have a big machine like the M3 Max if I can have a much better option but with less printing area
TL;DR: 3 years old user running a small shop wants to upgrade resin printer with a budget of 500-1000€

2023.06.08 21:45 TheMeltingSnowman72 How to marry your CV/resume with any job description perfectly + overlaps, interconnections, inferred skills and more. Full prompt and How-To.

The main prompt is at the end if you want to go and look at it. If you want to know how to prepare for absolute best results you can follow the rest.
I saw the post yesterday about looking for work and a few had mentioned some of the things I had in my prompt already, so I thought I would share it.
A month or so ago there were a load of prompts or tips about how to use Chatgpt to fast-track you into jobs, perfect resumes, and now you can view even blag interviews live.
I kept thinking what's bloody point? Bragging points, of course, but you're only gonna end up hating the job or being out of your depth. Maybe not in terms of knowledge if you have GPT hard-wired into your brain. I'm working at the moment but I was curious to see what could be done. So I tinkered around and came up with this prompt.
I wanted to create one that would marry both me and the job together, in every way it could, find hidden talents in me, and find out what I could do for them that they didn't even know about yet.
Basically what you have to do before hand is get a full CV ready. Every single job you ever did, even paperboy, I did.

CREATE YOUR PERSONAL SUPER CV/RESUME

Now you've got your file with all of you on it. You need it all sorted and you need chatgpt or another AI tool to help you. Before GPT had the plugins, I would give Bing the link to my file in Google drive, and just say...
"[In code block](optional start for Bing), acting as a high-level recruiter, present my CV again fully, fully formatted, without repetitions, including each and every single one of the jobs I have had. Each job must have position, company, dates, 3 key bullets of duties and/or achievements, 1 bullet dedicated to all the skills that would be used by me in that role, communicated or inferred. Please try to put it in chronological order. If that's not possible (your CV might have overlaps with fiction occasionally) please don't worry about the date order. Some jobs may be written differently with different names, please spot them and do not allow them to get through."
Important to note: this CV is for you, so it doesn't matter what it looks like, of you don't want it to limit it to 3 bullets that's fine, but if you tell it to keep things in order it does a better job.
Have various lengths of it. You're going to pair it with a Job Description later and they need to be fairly equal to be fair, so you can choose one that way
**Ok. So now to put should have a full CV/Resume of you, meResumeFull.docx and you want to find jobs to apply for.
Now it depends on your limitations with GPT how you do this part. I'll explain like I've not got anything at all paid. If you've got GPT plus or use your own key you'll know what to do.
'Please look at my CV [insert link here] and keep note of everything relevant while looking for jobs that fit me perfectly, in [insert your specific job requirements here]. Please present your findings in code block'
(Why do I keep asking for it in code block?)
If you're using mobile, Bing is pot luck with responses and always wanted to share links and chat. If you say at the start, In code block, present... it acts more like GPT and does what you say and presents it however you ask, as a document, report, news article, etc.
Now you've got your jobs, have a look. See what you fancy. When you find the one you want, make a copy of the entire Job Description (JD)

MAKING THINGS EQUAL

At first I kept running this final prompt and finding jobs I thought I was great match for, only to find I was 50% or lower.
This prompt is g going to take a really good look at both you and the job and read between the lines, so you have to have an equal amount of information for the marriage to be fair like I mentioned before. JD's can be quite long, which will make it an unfair match if you don't have a lot as well, so pick one that you made that was the same length, or run them both in GPT to get them "...equal length while relevant data remains lossless".
You should now have CV and JD.

NOW THE FUN PART.

I highly recommend using this prompt with only Wolfram plugin, however it still works brilliantly with GPT 4 and even 3.5.
Wolfram is the dog's proverbials though.
Acting as a high level recruiter and data scientist, analyze the following CV: [Insert CV Here]. From this, considering level and length of experience and making interconnections, internally create a comprehensive list of skills from experiences that the user possesses, highlighting key aspects that stand out. Next, analyze the following Job Description (JD): [Insert JD Here]. From this, create a list of skills and experiences required for the role. Include both those explicitly stated in the JD as well as any inferred skills that might be beneficial given the nature of the job. Identify potential pain points the employer may be experiencing that this role is expected to address.
After analyzing both the CV and JD, find the overlaps and possible matches between the user's skills and the job requirements. Highlight these intersections and suggest how the user's skills can solve the employer's needs and pain points.
Generate an output that includes the following:
Title of report
a. A list of skills required for the job, both those explicitly stated in the JD and those inferred from the context with a detailed explanation, giving examples you can infer from the CV where possible, of how the user's skills and experiences make them a perfect fit for the particular job requirements.
b. A short report detailing any additional findings or insights that may have been overlooked, demonstrating why the user is a great fit for the role. This should include potential employer pain points identified in the JD and how the user's skills can help to address these.
Remember to provide clear, detailed, and specific insights. You're expected to provide the most optimal match between the user and the job role, based on the CV and JD provided.
Give a percentage match fit for employee/employer

I'm looking to publish to software soon (free at first, then a very small monthly fee to cover volume costs) and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in a service like this. 2023.06.08 21:44 lambc89 Anybody else ready for a Lawyer?

So, I've been dashing maybe 2 years. I've watched DoorDash go downhill SO far. Orders getting auto assigned and support won't remove them without completion rate penalties, tip stealing, shitty offers getting worse. Oh, and let's not forget that if I set a schedule, 30 seconds later it's not there anymore.
Now they are trying to deny that they owe me $29.51 in unpaid tips between May 5 & May 8 2023. I have the texts to prove it.
Escalation team never responds after the initial email saying they need XYZ from me. I send it and never get a response. Only when you're in danger.
Anyone else absolutely sick of DoorDash playing customers and dashers against each other and screwing us over again and again?
They'd rather spend HOURS arguing with us, and customers, treating anybody like we're just pawns (I guess we are in their game, since we don't have the legal protection as gig workers.)
Hell, I just finished a delivery where I picked up (the in app directions were wrong of course, google maps got me there though) and walked the 6 blocks back to my car. Then tried to go to another delivery where again the directions were wrong, I've never been to this place. Wound up unassigning it due to yet again no parking for 6 blocks and construction. 5 minutes later, DD support calls to say I have to go back and get 2 items the restaurant assured me were in the bag. Nope. Send another dasher. They called back 5 mins later again and I told them the same thing and to not call me back, I will not go back. Don't get me wrong, the customer tipped well, but dd pay was base and they've screwed me enough this week. Oh, and they wouldn't add more pay for the excess miles and time. Fuck doordash. I'm done.
I'm one of the dashers that always tries to go above and beyond, it's really just the kind of person I am and why I got back into customer service. But I can't take being extorted and used anymore.
I'm not saying there aren't horrific customers.
I'm not saying there aren't horrific dashers.
I'm not saying I've never had an off or bitchy day at work.
I'm saying I'm personally fed up with their bullshit. This is extortion, plain and simple. I have an interview tomorrow for something else, I'm on my way out the door.
No extra pay for ridiculous waits (45+ mins at taco bell, over an hour at McDonald's... When your completion rate gets so low, you have to wait them out).
Enough is enough. I'm finding what exactly is and isn't legal, and I'm looking into all of it.
Maybe they need hit with another class action. A boycott. Something. But they need put in check or dismantled. I'm not the only person that's said it.
And for the love of all things... They way they treat disabled customers. My blood BOILS when I read those stories. I'm a big activist for rights for those with disabilities. I've been in those shoes. It's NOT kosher. None of this is.
I've love to see a day where no dashers sign in. Let them just go blacked out for a day. See how getting screwed over feels.
Like I said, I have screenshots to back up 90% of my claims.
It can't seriously just be me and my fiance getting fucked over like this.

2023.06.08 21:43 colibrisen Should I follow up on a possible job offer, or keep waiting for HR?

Sorry if I used the incorrect flair. 🙇🏽‍♂️ I don't know where this fits best.
To keep things short: I applied for a position in April and went through their test that then later led to an interview. During the interview I was informed that the specific position I applied for was being filled, but another spot would possibly be opening soon (multiple people with the same title kind of thing). The understanding was that the Supervisor who I'd interviewed with would send me a proper job application when/if that position opened up. A few days later I got the application, filled it out, and was then notified by the Supervisor that they'd spoken with all my references, and had submitted the paperwork to HR. Their email ended with "You should be contacted by HR within a couple of weeks."
That was the 2nd week of May. It's now been almost a month and I haven't heard anything back. Even more confusing, the company's "career" page has been updated multiple times since then, and the position I applied for is still listed.
So my question is...essentially the title. Should I just keep waiting? I know from experiences with my current job that HR can be painfully slow sometimes, but I can't help but keep worrying about this lack of timely response. Since I don't have the contact information for anyone in HR, I would have to email this Supervisor again (which I wouldn't know how to phrase anyway).
I really want this job for a number of reasons, so I guess I'm being paranoid. Especially since I haven't gotten a formal offer yet, but everything surrounding this makes it feel as though my chances are good.
TLDR: I have gotten far in the application/hiring process on a job I want, but HR is being slow and I don't know whether to wait for them a little longer, or to contact someone and inquire about my application status.

2023.06.08 21:43 gekkogeckogirl Invitation to interview within an hour of application

Hi all, I am simultaneously applying to jobs as I finish up my PhD and prepare for the birth of my second. I've been out of the job market for a while so I'm unfamiliar with situations such as this. I applied to a job listed on indeed (it took me to the company website, not just the quick apply function through indeed). The job was posted on indeed today. Within minutes (~10 minutes) I received an automated email requesting I schedule an interview, with options for tomorrow, Monday, or Tuesday. Is this a scam? I think the company itself is legitimate (it's a medical device company), the website from Google lists the job along with the same application I filled out, and their LinkedIn shows the job ad posted 21 hours ago. I just feel like my application could not have actually been looked at and I don't want to waste my time on an illegitimate interview if I could be instead working on my dissertation stuff.
I'm sorry this isn't working mom related, I'm hoping this still fits here as this mama is exhausted and trying to use her time wisely.

2023.06.08 21:42 adlamoureux Migrating to Shopify POS

Would like to get some insight from anybody who has migrated from Lightspeed to Shopify POS.
Currently I use Lightspeed for all my in-store brick and mortar POS transactions. I do like it, but I am not a fan of their web division and because of that we moved all of our online business over to shopify. We currently have a system that updates Shopify and Lightspeed in real-time and keeps everything running very smoothly. However there are some draw backs; Our gift cards do not work across both system, we cannot have a loyalty system work across both, the overall cost to run two systems is more especially when we have plans to open up future locations and popups, and the merchant cost seems to be lower with Shopify (hard to tell, since merchant data is always tricky to breakdown).
I have talked with Shopify and their POS division, even had a few zoom meetings as they seem to want my business. After researching for a few weeks I see a few drawbacks, but wanted to get a few opinions from anybody that has been in my position.
  1. I want to move over all my past sales data (10 years) from Lightspeed POS to Shopify POS. This doesn't seem really possible. I have talked to two different migration companies and they only talk about migrating over web sales, and customer data. Every time I bring up POS to POS data they balk. When I asked Shopify directly they told me in so many words to hire a 3rd party to do this... Is it possible to get all my data moved over? I feel like this is a major sticking point for me right now.
  2. One of the reasons I like Lightspeed so much is their inventory management and reports together with how POs and VRs work. I have noticed with Shopify they use an app called Stocky for this. An app they seem to love so much that they bought it, yet it still doesn't run native inside the system. From what I have heard this app is 'okay' at best. any thoughts?
  3. I have a few friends that run small retail stores and they have always used Shopify. Their number one complaint is running inventory checks. They say its a hassle. With Lightspeed its very straight forward. Any thoughts on this?
If anybody has other points I am not thinking of, or has been though this type of move, or has some opinions on Lightspeed vs Shopify (POS only) would love to hear.

Thanks
