Overwhelming work place

2023.06.09 16:20 VolumeNo1766 Overwhelming work place

So I’ve been working at Maccas for like 3 years, different restaurants. I love working there, it’s just the amount of noises that really overwhelms me, I’ve found that if I have a set of things I have to do then it distracts me but otherwise it gets really bad and I spend most of my shift in the bathroom. At the other restaurants I’ve been able to handle this because they’ve had set things but my new restaurant doesn’t, I’m in front counter and basically have to do 6 things at once and gets told to do a new thing in the middle of doing something else. It overwhelms me SO much, I shutdown immediately and just want to cry. It’s not really a situation I can talk to my manager about either because then everyone would need to change their habits. I just don’t know what to do, I love working there but it’s just overwhelming, I really want to find a conclusion on how to fix, but atm I doubt there is one and I’ll just have to get used to it :/
The back workers are useless too, half of them are dating so they just stand around cuddling and ignoring orders and not listening to people telling them what they need so I have to stand around whilst orders pile up waiting for them.
On top of that my restaurants machines are practically all broken and every week are in new spots. Currently our ice cream machine, drinks, and fries machine doesn’t work (we have to use drive thrus drinks, pour the fries into the fry holder things manually and can’t do ice creams). It’s so overwhelming because everything’s always different and once I get used to doing something else I have to immediately change it.
I have 5 shifts a week there, I don’t know how many I can do without ruining my mental health

2023.06.09 15:12 DawnOfLegion1 Roman Reigns - Your Tribal Chief...for over 10 years

JBL once referred to Randy Orton as the perfect sports entertainer, from head to toe. In the modern context, the prototype would be Roman Reigns. Look at the man - stunning, tall, jacked, college grad, legit athlete, a fireball of charisma, and the same blood as this little guy called The Rock. If anyone was destined for greatness, it was certainly Joe Anoa'i. The prophecy came true, and within 6 years of his professional wrestling debut, Roman was the WWE Champion, the pinnacle of wrestling. However, the fans didn't accept the charming Samoan, and for years he caused rifts within the various types of wrestling fans. In 2020, the tide finally turned, and years of frustration created The Tribal Chief. What if I told you that The Tribal Chief was the end-game all along ?
Upon his debut in FCW, a babyfaced Joe Anoa'i was known as Leakee, a goodie-two-shoes babyface proud of his Samoan heritage. He'd throw his right hand up in the air, in order to "collect the energy from the audience", and showed great potential, despite being extremely green. Leakee had some decent success in FCW, but it was clear a few pieces of the puzzle were missing. An impressive yet faceless babyface, a change was needed. Then, a new attitude shone through. Referring to himself as The Boss, Leakee was clad in a sharp suit, aviators, and a cocky attitude. Upon FCW's rebranding into NXT, Leakee's attitude remained, but two things were different - he was now known as Roman Reigns, The Thoroughbred. Reigns had grand desires, to be the leader of the industry and make a change. The businessman certainly was impressive and talked a big game, but his intentions were overly ambitious, if not delusional. For now.
Then, The Shield was born, a group of mercenaries focused on justice. Reigns was met with question marks from the fans, as his teammates already had reputations that proceeded them, while Reigns was seen as a random Samoan from the developmental brand. As a character, Roman remained largely the same - stoic, calm and cool, and it was almost like he let Dean and Seth get all the spotlight. Initially, Deano was presented as the centerpiece because of his talking abilities. Then, Seth Rollins was the focal point due to his chaotic style and role as the peacemaker. All the while, in and out of kayfabe, Roman was getting better and better, biding his time to be that leader he always wanted to be.
In early 2014, it finally happened - Roman Reigns was the focus of The Shield. In a not coincidental coincidence, the group turned face during this time and changed their entire modus operandi. With Roman as the source of leadership, The Shield finally stopped being Authority's lapdogs, stood up to Wyatt Family, and even defeated Evolution.. twice ! Kayfabe or not, Shield's most dominant and successful period happened during Roman's rule. Reigns did what he sought out to do, what he promised he would do 3 years ago - he proved himself as a leader. Problem was his leadership position didn't allow him to be a top guy, and the other problem was one of his brothers choosing money over brotherhood..
The Shield ended, and Roman's aspirations of being a conquering leader were put on hold. While still friendly with Dean, now he had to carve out his own path. For 5 years, Roman did, and the results were excellent, from a professional standpoint. From a personal standpoint, it couldn't have felt too good. See, Roman Reigns, even as a babyface, was never the most swell guy in the world. He'd be disrespectful, needlessly violent, somewhat childish, and certainly overexposed. From a kayfabe POV, his fellow babyfaces were likable and Roman was not. Out of kayfabe, Roman was perceived as a guy who got his foot in the door through nepotism, while others hustled for years and were still held down. Sure, the women and the children loved Roman, but unlike previous faces of the company, Roman just couldn't capture everyone. In that sense, he failed as a leader, as during his final few Shield months, every demographic liked Roman Reigns. Now, on his own, he was left to swim with the sharks, and while he did score a lot of kills, Roman was left scarred and exposed.
By 2020, Roman Reigns found out a lot about himself - he could dominate and conquer on his own, he could lead others successfully, but he couldn't lead the masses. He couldn't get a combination of love, fear, and respect, he was only able to get 1 out of 3 of those things throughout different points of his careers. He overcame leukemia, fought hard to fight back, and still.. nothing. No love, fear and respect from everyone, just overwhelming love, overwhelming respect, and prevalent.. pity. Pity for this monster, in every sense of the term, who could strike fear into others with merely a menacing stare. After everything he'd done and been through, Roman was now seen as an inspiration to many, but still a liability and nuisance to some. Point is - he still wasn't that leader he wanted to be. With COVID flipping the world on its head, a frustrated and scared Roman finally had enough. 10 years of anger, frustration, failure and setbacks finally came crashing.
The Tribal Chief is the guy a young Leakee talked about in FCW. The Tribal Chief is the guy The Thoroughbred said would take over the business back in NXT. The Tribal Chief is a guy who never would have been in The Shield, because he didn't need it. The Tribal Chief is a guy who'd never work under anyone, they work for him. The Tribal Chief is a guy who wouldn't stand in the ring, soaking in the boos and taking disrespect for defeating Undertaker and John Cena. The Tribal Chief is a guy who doesn't accept being compared to others or being called a second-rate version of. The Tribal Chief is not a guy who'd hesitate going in for the kill in his matches, or saying something that would offend someone. Every mistake that Roman Reigns made these past 10 years The Tribal Chief wouldn't do, he is finally that leader he talked about a decade ago. Problem is.. that leader has made a different mistake altogether - forgetting the first rule of The Shield. Family, brothers come before all.. and that mistake, a mistake that the old, average Roman Reigns would never make, is exactly what's going to end The Tribal Chief. Full circle once again.

2023.06.09 14:43 nukenberry Echoes of Eleven: The Curse Unveiled

Echoes of Eleven: The Curse Unveiled
In the quiet town of Ravenbrook, nestled amidst mist-shrouded forests, a group of eleven individuals unknowingly embarked on a terrifying journey that would forever change their lives. Each member had received an enigmatic invitation, beckoning them to the foreboding mansion on Elm Street. Little did they know that this gathering would be the catalyst for their descent into darkness.
As the clock struck midnight, the eleven strangers cautiously stepped through the mansion's creaking doors. The air grew thick with anticipation as they entered the dimly lit dining hall. A long table, adorned with an intricately carved centerpiece, awaited their arrival. Nervous glances were exchanged, and the group found solace in their shared apprehension.
Conversation flowed, and laughter echoed through the grand hall, temporarily dispelling their unease. But then, as if guided by an unseen force, the room grew colder, and an ominous hush fell upon the unsuspecting guests. The flickering candle flames dimmed, casting elongated shadows across their faces. An unseen presence seemed to permeate the air, its weight palpable.
Suddenly, the room plunged into darkness. Panic enveloped the group as they groped their way through the black void. In the midst of their confusion, a sinister voice emerged from the shadows, chilling their very souls. "Eleven shall be your curse," it whispered, its words carrying a malevolence that left them trembling.
The lights flickered back to life, revealing the trembling figures of the eleven. Fear gripped their hearts as they realized that one among them was a murderer, concealed in their midst. Suspicion hung heavily in the air, fracturing their once-solid bonds. Friendships became mired in doubt, trust turned to paranoia, and an insidious game of survival began.
Each passing day brought a new revelation, a chilling hint that perpetuated the curse of eleven. A cryptic note found beneath a pillow, a blood-stained knife discreetly tucked away, or a chilling message scrawled on the walls in the dead of night. It seemed as though the very walls of the mansion whispered secrets that only the murderer and the curse comprehended.
As the group sought to unmask the killer, alliances formed and shattered, the web of suspicion tightening around them all. The number eleven became a haunting presence, appearing in the most unexpected places. Clocks struck eleven, shadows seemed to lengthen at that hour, and patterns of eleven materialized in the architecture, fueling their growing terror.
Days turned into nights, and nights blurred into a maddening cycle of paranoia. The once-vibrant group of eleven became a fractured assembly of fear-stricken souls, teetering on the precipice of madness. In the final, climactic confrontation, the true face of evil was revealed, its sinister motives laid bare for all to see.
But the curse did not end there. Its grip lingered, forever etched into the memories of the survivors. Though they managed to escape the clutches of the mansion, the horror of their ordeal remained deeply ingrained. The tale of the eleven and their nightmarish encounter spread like wildfire, captivating the world with its bone-chilling details.
"Echoes of Eleven: The Curse Unveiled" became a literary sensation, its pages immortalizing the group's descent into darkness. Their story left an indelible mark on the annals of horror, a chilling reminder that the number eleven holds secrets far more sinister than anyone could fathom. And even now, in the quiet moments of solitude, whispers of that cursed number continue to haunt those who dare to listen, forever echoing through the ages.
Part 2: The Unforgiving Shadows
Years had passed since the harrowing events at the mansion on Elm Street, yet the chilling echoes of the curse refused to fade away. The survivors of that night had moved on with their lives, seeking solace in the hope that the darkness they had endured was forever behind them. Little did they know that fate had different plans, ready to pull them back into the sinister clutches of the number eleven.
One by one, the eleven individuals found themselves inexplicably drawn back to Ravenbrook. Their seemingly unrelated paths converged once more, as if guided by an invisible hand. An old book, its pages worn and weathered, arrived at their doorsteps, urging them to return to the site of their shared nightmare. Reluctant but unable to resist the call, they found themselves standing once again before the mansion's foreboding façade.
This time, the mansion bore a more desolate and eerie atmosphere. Its grandeur had faded, replaced by an unsettling aura of abandonment. As the group stepped inside, they were greeted by the suffocating silence of a place that had witnessed the darkest of secrets. Memories resurfaced, and their hearts pounded with a mix of trepidation and a lingering curiosity to uncover the truth that lay dormant within those haunted walls.
As they delved deeper into the mansion's hidden chambers, they discovered cryptic symbols etched into the decaying wallpaper, reminiscent of the number eleven. The once-familiar rooms now seemed transformed, warped by an otherworldly force. The presence that had plagued them before had returned, its malevolence growing stronger, driving them closer to the brink of their sanity.
Whispers, barely audible, wound their way through the corridors, carried on a phantom breeze. The survivors felt the weight of the curse once again, its tendrils wrapping around their souls. A sense of foreboding hung heavily in the air, as if time itself had been suspended, waiting for the inevitable confrontation.
Each member of the group unraveled fragments of their own forgotten past, revealing a connection that spanned far beyond their shared encounter in the mansion. A dark secret emerged, entwining their lives with the number eleven, forging a bond that surpassed comprehension. They were not just victims but instruments of a greater design, bound to confront the ancient entity that wielded the curse.
As they reached the heart of the mansion, a room hidden from prying eyes, they discovered a shrine of obsidian and candlelight. Within its center stood a grotesque idol, a representation of the malevolent force that had plagued their lives. Trembling, they realized that only by facing the darkness head-on could they hope to sever the chains of the curse forever.
With resolve hardening in their hearts, they joined forces, united against the malefic presence that sought to consume them. Each member harnessed their unique strengths, their shared history giving them an inexplicable power to fight back. The confrontation was fierce, an intense battle between light and shadow, as they struggled to break the cycle of eleven that had haunted their lives.
In a final, desperate surge of courage, the survivors shattered the cursed idol, its fragments showering the room like shards of vindication. The mansion trembled, as if relieved to be liberated from the curse that had held it captive for so long. The weight that had burdened their souls began to lift, and an eerie calm settled over Ravenbrook.
As the survivors emerged from the mansion's haunted embrace, they knew that their ordeal had reached its conclusion. The curse had been vanquished, and their names would forever be etched in the annals of darkness.
As the survivors stood outside the mansion, their bodies trembling with exhaustion and relief, a sudden realization struck them. The number eleven had not been the curse itself; it had been the harbinger of an even greater malevolence lurking in the shadows.
In a shocking act that defied all expectations, one of the survivors, their eyes gleaming with a twisted joy, turned on their companions. Betrayal hung in the air like a noose, as the newfound traitor reveled in the chaos they had sown. With a malevolent smile, they revealed themselves to be the puppet master, orchestrating the events all along.
It was a game to them, a sadistic manipulation of lives and fears. The curse of eleven had been a mere illusion, a smokescreen to distract from the true depths of their evil. The survivors, once bound by their shared torment, were now caught in a web of betrayal spun by their very own comrade.
As screams of shock and horror filled the night, the traitor disappeared into the darkness, leaving their former companions to grapple with the cruel twist of fate. The group of survivors, broken and battered, now faced not only the torment of the curse but also the realization that evil could manifest in the most unexpected of places.
The shocking act left an indelible mark on the town of Ravenbrook, perpetuating the legend of the cursed eleven. The survivors became cautionary tales, their names whispered with a mix of fear and fascination. The story that had once promised fame and terror had twisted into a nightmarish tragedy, forever haunting the minds of those who dared to delve into its depths.
And so, the legacy of Echoes of Eleven remained, a testament to the fragility of trust and the depths of human darkness. The tale, no longer a simple horror story, became a chilling reminder that evil can lurk within even the closest of circles, ready to strike with a shocking act that would forever stain the pages of history.

Morning and Evening Friday, June 9th

06/09/2023

Morning

The Lord hath done great things for us, whereof we are glad. — Ps 126:3
Some Christians are sadly prone to look on the dark side of everything, and to dwell more upon what they have gone through, than upon what God has done for them. Ask for their impression of the Christian life, and they will describe their continual conflicts, their deep afflictions, their sad adversities, and the sinfulness of their hearts—yet with scarcely any allusion to the mercy and help which God has vouchsafed them. But a Christian whose soul is in a healthy state, will come forward joyously, and say, “I will speak, not about myself but to the honor of my God. He has brought me up out of an horrible pit, and out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings and He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God. The Lord has done great things for me, whereof I am glad!”
Such an abstract of experience as this, is the very best that any child of God can present. It is true that we endure trials but it is just as true that we are delivered out of them. It is true that we have our corruptions, and mournfully do we know this but it is quite as true that we have an all-sufficient Savior, who overcomes these corruptions, and delivers us from their dominion.
In looking back, it would be wrong to deny that we have been in the Slough of Despond, and have crept along the Valley of Humiliation but it would be equally wicked to forget that we have been through them safely and profitably; we have not remained in them, thanks to our Almighty Helper and Leader, who has brought us “out into a wealthy place.” The deeper our troubles—the louder our thanks to God, who has led us through all, and preserved us until now. Our griefs cannot mar the melody of our praise, we reckon them to be

Evening

Search the Scriptures. — John 5:39
The word here rendered “search” signifies a strict, close, assiduous, diligent search—such as men make when they are seeking gold—or hunters when they are in earnest after game. We must not rest content with having given a superficial reading to a chapter or two but with the candle of the Spirit—we must deliberately seek out the hidden meaning of the Word.
Holy Scripture requires searching—much of it can only be learned by careful study. There is milk for babes but also meat for strong men. The rabbis wisely say, that a mountain of matter hangs upon every word of Scripture. Tertullian exclaims, “I adore the fullness of the Scriptures.” No man who merely skims the book of God—can profit thereby; we must dig and mine until we obtain the hid treasure. The door of the Word only opens to the key of diligence.
The Scriptures claim searching. They are the writings of God, bearing the divine stamp and imprimatur—who shall dare to treat them with levity? He who despises them—despises the God who wrote them! God forbid that any of us should leave our Bibles to become swift witnesses against us in the great day of account!
The Word of God will repay searching. God does not bid us sift a mountain of chaff with here and there a grain of wheat in it but the Bible is winnowed grain—we have but to open the granary door, and find it. Scripture grows upon the student. It is full of surprises. Under the teaching of the Holy Spirit, to the searching eye—it glows with splendor of revelation, like a vast temple paved with wrought gold, and roofed with rubies, emeralds, and all manner of precious gems. No merchandise like the merchandise of Scripture truth.
Lastly, the Scriptures reveal Jesus, “The Scriptures point to Me!” No more powerful motive can be urged upon Bible readers than this—he who finds Jesus finds life, heaven, all things. Happy he who, searching his Bible, discovers his Savior! the bass part of our life’s song, “He has done great things for us, whereof we are glad!”

2023.06.09 13:47 tehchives What is the Stock Ledger? What is a Stockholder List? Addressing the distinction between these two terms in light of the recent new DRS data.

Good morning everyone!

The Big News

Have you seen the recent news that some investors and members of this community traveled to Grapevine and were able to review some of GameStop’s shareholder data? There have been several posts on this subreddit over the past week about this, so I imagine many have. They are currently on the front page, but I can't link directly them due to Reddit policy / Rule 6.
There will be more data to come, and more users who independently verify it’s validity. I also want to make clear that I know that the data to come is accurate, that I trust those users, and that I don’t mean to downplay their efforts by delving into these semantics.

What’s this post about?

I wanted to make this post to make sure we as a community are accurate with the language used. The posts I talk about above, along with some other comments and communication from the users who traveled to Grapevine, have used the word ‘Ledger’ or the phrase ‘Stock Ledger’ to describe what they viewed there. This is not correct. In a complicated world of book vs book entry and DSP vs DSPP it is important to be as clear with language as possible.
It is not the Stock Ledger which was reviewed, but the List of Stockholders / Stockholder List. Let’s dive in.

The Delaware Code

To start, you can review the Delaware Code online at https://delcode.delaware.gov/title8/c001/sc07/. Although GameStop is headquartered in Texas, it is incorporated in Delaware and must follow these guidelines. The most important sections to review for this topic are 219 and 224.
Here’s the breakdown:
What is available to shareholders for review per the Delaware Code is a “complete list of the stockholders entitled to vote at the meeting” (219a). “Such list shall be open to the examination of any stockholder for any purpose germane to the meeting for a period of 10 days ending on the day before the meeting date.” (219a)
Companies must track an ongoing record of ownership, listing the names / addresses / positions of all investors. This is called a stock ledger. (219c) Often, a Transfer Agent is contracted to do this.
Annually, for the shareholder meeting, companies must create a list of stockholders entitled to vote. This is a 'snapshot' of the stock ledger, taken on the record date. Shareholders must own shares on the record date in order to vote. On the record date, a static and timestamped record of the stock ledger is created, and which is used as the primary source for voting. This is called the list of stockholders. (219a, 224)

Why is this important?

While the stock list is derived from the stock ledger, they are not identical. It's important to use correct terminology when we're talking about complicated and similar ideas so that we can spend less time in confusion and clarification and more time talking about the data and how to help more people direct register.
Household investors can not assume that what our investing peers were able to view is ALL the data that GameStop is allowed to view. It’s modified data that excludes specific histories of the shareholder accounts, and is limited to holdings as of the record date. The "stockholder list” only required certain fields as specified on the Delaware code above (219a) - name, address, and number of shares registered under that name.
Now, I know, it is not realistic to expect everyone to start calling this document “the stockholder list” just like no one is going to stop referring to “the DSPP revelations” as the “heat lamp theory” even though those are two different ideas. That’s another story.
So - it’s not “THE Ledger” that our peers recently examined. It’s “the stockholder list”, a timestamped copy of the stock ledger from April 21st 2023.

Okay - so what's missing, compared to seeing the actual stock ledger? What questions are still there?

This isn't a complete list of things I and other investors would like to know more about.
1) The stockholder list does not reflect complete share ownership. Only the voting rights are listed on this document - so it isn’t clear who “owns” or “holds” the beneficial shares whether it’s a nominee or DTC.
2) It doesn’t clearly reflect “operational efficiency” (see above) – it is just one moment in time, and the amount of shares kept with DTC is not necessarily a constant.
3) It does not distinguish DSPP shares from pure DRS. It only separates book from plan. Notably, it records them as Class A (book) and DirectStock (plan). There is no clear difference listed here if an account had DRIP enabled, although all DRIP enabled accounts would be enrolled in DirectStock.
4) 1717 holders own less than a single share and might have seemed to have no voting rights yet are listed on the stockholder list. It has been unclear to me whether or not owners of a fractional share are able to vote that fractional. Since the stock list totals are exact, that is approximately 850 shares/votes not accounted for.
5) There’s no insight into daily movement of shares, such as buying and selling or operational efficiency. This means that there’s no way to tell if shares are classified as DirectStock (Plan) due to purchase through DSPP, through being tied up by a limit sell, or through manual transfer.

TLDR:

GME's stockholder list was created by taking a snapshot of the ledger on the record date, 4/21/23, and acts as the resource for voting at the annual meeting. That stockholder list is what was reviewed by members of this community.
What is required to be available for inspection by shareholders is commonly referred to as the "Stockholder List". It shows the names, addresses and share-holdings of each shareholder as of the record date for the Meeting. It is the legal right of any investor to view the stockholder list. A " Stock Ledger" shows all the above information, is maintained in real time by the Transfer Agent, and also shows the history of debits/credits to each shareholder account. This Ledger is not generally available to the public.

2023.06.09 13:27 Esmay89 Buildings Insurance Help

Hi everyone, back again with more first time buyer silly questions that maybe you can help with.
I've been looking into Buildings & Contents insurance as I know I need to get this in place for exchange which is hopefully in the next couple of weeks. There's some questions i'm struggling with and I plan to call the insurer beforehand to double check stuff, but it'd be good to get your input so I can at least compare and narrow down options.

  1. Flat roof - The property is one of those where the second floor exterior is entirely pitched roof with large flat topped dormer windows on each of the 3 bedrooms (this kind of style), plus a good size flat roof extension on the back. How on earth do I work out the flat roof percentage? If I go from the 2d floor plan over 50% of the "floor area" is covered by a flat roof, but because it's a highly pitched roof, there's a lot of non-flat roof per square metre. I know I don't need to be millimetre accurate, but I've no idea if it's 30/40/50%
  2. The dormer roofs are mineral felt, the extension roof is fibreglass. It asks what the flat roof is made from but I can only pick one option. Do I enter fibreglass since the extension is the largest flat roof?
  3. Alongside the property address, it asks if the policy holders address is the same. I selected "NO" (because i don't live their yet) but then asks for a reason, none of which apply to me. Do I just pretend that's my address in this scenario? Will the current vendors get all my insurance paperwork in the post?
  4. I work from home, 100% remote and online, mostly employed work, but I do a bit on the side. Do I declare it as "business use" and select "no visitors"?
  5. Cats/Dogs - We don't have any, but my partner does want a pet. Do I say "no" and then have to update it, or assume we'll get one and declare it now?
  6. Last one; Is it sensible to get contents insurance at the same time. Or would you just get the buildings insurance for now, and call them up to add contents once we're in?

2023.06.09 12:57 Sea-Phase-7999 Life Insurance Plan In India 2023

Life Insurance

Life insurance is nothing but, "Insured your life". L"IF"E is full of IF's... and one needs to plan to secure their loved ones and themselves against the Ifs of Life. When you opt for a life insurance plan, you transfer your family's financial risks in case of any unfortunate event to the life insurer. This allows you and your loved ones to live life fearlessly. Life Insurance protects your family's financial wellbeing from the consequences of living without an income.
TYPES OF LIFE INSURANCE
  1. TERM LIFE INSURANCE : Term Life Insurance plans are designed for specified periods of years, say 10,15 or 20 years etc. These are the “cheapest plans” compared to other plans.Main disadvantage is,there is “no any survival benefit”.The policy holder gets the claim amount only when death is happens.
  2. UNIT LINKED INSURANCE PLAN ( ULIP’S ) : Unit Linked Insurance plans(ULIPs) offers policyholder “life security plus investment opportunity”. Premium paid into this policy is bifurcated into two parts, “one for the purpose of Life insurance and another for the purpose of investment”. These policies are ‘linked’ to market products like mutual funds, bonds, stocks, etc.
  3. ENDOWMENT PLAN : Endowment Plan offers”life security plus survival benefit”.The main advantage of this plan is “policy holder gets assured & lumpsum amount at maturity”.
  4. WHOLE LIFE POLICY : Whole life policy offers protection for the “entire lifetime” of an individual. Certain insurers can have an upper age limit for maturity of policy. wherein a ”death benefit is provided to the nominee on demise of the policyholder”. If there is a maturity benefit associated with the plan, a maturity amount will be paid when the policyholder attains the upper age limit associated with the scheme.
  5. ANNUITY / PENSION POLICY : annuity/pension plans can be used by individuals looking to “financially secure their retired life”.The amount collected in the form of premium and distributed.
  6. MONEY BACK POLICY : to the policy holder.Insurer pays certain percentage of sum insured amount to the policy holder at regular intervals. For example, let’s say 20 years policy, the insurer pays 20% of sum assured amount after every 5 years and remaining 40% at maturity period.
  7. CHILD INSURANCE POLICY : A child insurance policy is a combination of saving & investment plan,to fulfill their future financial dreams/goals. A child insurance policy allows you do invests since child’s born age to adult age. Some policies allows you to withdraw your savings at certain intervals.

2023.06.09 12:29 Sanraishop Do breathing exercises help anxiety?

Yes, breathing exercises can be effective in reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation. When we experience anxiety, our breathing tends to become shallow and rapid, which can further contribute to feelings of distress. Engaging in specific breathing techniques can help regulate and calm the nervous system, leading to a reduction in anxiety symptoms. Here's how breathing exercises can help:
  1. Deep, slow breathing: Taking slow, deep breaths can activate the body's relaxation response, which helps counteract the stress response associated with anxiety. By focusing on slow inhalations and exhalations, you can slow down your heart rate and bring a sense of calmness to your body and mind.
  2. Diaphragmatic breathing: Deep breathing exercises that involve using the diaphragm help activate the body's relaxation response. By engaging the diaphragm and breathing deeply into the abdomen, you can increase the flow of oxygen, slow down breathing rate, and induce a sense of relaxation.
  3. Pursed-lip breathing: This technique involves breathing in slowly through the nose and exhaling through pursed lips, as if you're blowing out a candle. Pursed-lip breathing helps regulate breathing patterns, promotes relaxation, and reduces feelings of anxiety or panic.
  4. 4-7-8 breathing: This technique, popularized by Dr. Andrew Weil, involves inhaling for a count of four, holding the breath for a count of seven, and exhaling slowly for a count of eight. It can help regulate breathing, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of calmness.
  5. Mindful breathing: Mindfulness techniques involve bringing your full attention to the present moment, including your breath. By focusing on the sensations of each breath—such as the coolness of the inhalation and warmth of the exhalation—you can anchor yourself in the present and alleviate anxious thoughts.
Practicing breathing exercises regularly, even when you're not experiencing anxiety, can also train your body to respond more effectively to stressors, potentially reducing overall anxiety levels. It's important to note that while breathing exercises can be helpful for managing anxiety, they are not a standalone treatment. If you have persistent or severe anxiety symptoms, it's recommended that you seek support from a mental health professional who can provide comprehensive guidance and support.

2023.06.09 12:28 CrimsonUmbra I'm looking for something that smells like old books and something else that smells like lavender.

Sorry if I'm not great at saying what I want but I don't think I've ever used cologne. I'm looking for a couple of every day colognes that smell like books and lavenders. I don't care much about what the other things it smells like are and I'm not all that worried about it smelling super masculine. The main thing I don't want is for it to smell fake like how a 5$ lavender candle won't smell like lavender because those kind of thing give me a headache. Sorry about not being able to give a price range or anything I'm looking for the cheaper side but I'm not even sure how long a stander bottle should last. Sorry if I'm bad at replying but thanks for any recommendations.

2023.06.09 11:42 pneuma_n28 GME, Cohen, DFV, Bank Failures, Next Housing Crisis, & Inflation

I'll try to keep this post short for my winkle brain & crayon coloring attention span. With the recent news this past week and the exciting climb over the past month; when in doubt zoom out! Been a lot of emotions on our subs the past couple days. 84 year old GME war vet/high xxx holder here to get us all back in our left brain, and out of our right brain.
We are all invested in a company and honestly a movement that's made a huge turn around and sitting on a pile of cash, also vested in not only more inventory (pushing us out of GREEN q1'23) but also paving ground in things i don't even really know all that much about like web 3, NFT marketplaces & all sorts of computer technology greatness.
Cohen is "one of the finest investors/businessman of our generation." (Like that one Mayo man?)
DFV said it best, "up a little bit, down a little bit... sideways." Exactly what we've been seeing & is plain as day on a 1 day, 5 day, 1 month, & 6 month graphs.
& lastly WHERE ELSE AM I GOING TO PUT MY MONEY in these crazy times; my hard earned little pennys I'm scrounging for day by day? In the bank(s), that are highly unstable & going belly up? Not to mention if in said completely unstable bank(s), inflation is just going to eat it to nothing! Real Estate? I honestly don't even have enough saved to invest into the physical asset of real estate, and even if I did, you think I'm buying property that are also about to lose half their value when this next housing crisis passed on from 2008 actually bursts?
So that leads us all to one question. WHERE ARE WE GOING TO PUT OUR MONEY?
Only one answer! In physical shares of one of the greatest companies of the 21st century, backed by one of the greatest now executive chairman & businessman to ever create value and customer satisfaction amid e-commerce & amazon, all in our physical name buy DRSing, direct buying, booking, holding, and scrounging for more pennys to repeat every chance we get so our future children, grand children, and their children can potentially have a different chance at life.
It simply doesn't make sense to put money anywhere else right now!
There will be a family trust starting with myself that will have a purple GME circle registered in my family's name being passed on to leverage a new kind of lifestyle for generations to come! We're not missing out on the next coke, apple, etc...
It was once said, "a good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children"
See you all on the moon! 💎🙌
Edit: Clearly not a Financial Advisor
