This is used to determine the Call or Put Premium associated with the pricing of options (implied volatility).
- Directional Bias: Ranges from -100 (bearish) to +100 (bullish) and accounts for RSI, price trend, moving averages, and put/call skew over the past 6 weeks.
- Priced Move: given the current option prices, how much in dollar amounts will the underlying have to move to make the call/put break even. This is how much vol the option is pricing in. The expected move.
- Expiration: 2023-07-14.
- Call/Put Premium: How much extra you are paying for the implied move relative to the historic move. Low numbers mean options are "cheaper." High numbers mean options are "expensive."
- Efficiency: This factor represents the bid/ask spreads and the depth of the order book relative to the price of the option. It represents how much traders will pay in slippage with a round trip trade. Lower numbers are less efficient than higher numbers.
- E.R.: Days unitl the next Earnings Release. This feature is still in beta as we work on a more complete list of earnings dates.
- Why isn't my stock on this list? It doesn't have "weeklies", the underlying is "too cheap", or the options markets are too illiquid (open interest) to qualify for this strategy. 480 underlyings are used in this report and only the top results end up passing the criteria for each filter.

2023.06.09 15:31 Sum613 Smash Ultimate 13.0.1 Move Tier List #5: Dash Attack (Results)
Welcome everyone. This is the results of the
smashbros Move Tier List #5:
Dash Attack with 89 responses.
Ranking method:
- Calculate the Mean.
- Rank them.
- Determine tier change. In order to go to the next tier, a character Mode needs to be next tier and their Mean is lower than a value (to A tier if <4.2, B tier <3.4, C tier <2.6). D tier starts when Mode is D regardless of Mean, because it is so hard to get it under 1.8.
I'm retiring Is Zomba a Japanese? part in this thread.

Character Cumulative Count
This is not a simply Move Tier List. Each result contributes to the final destination, we will find out who is the
Best Character in Smash Ultimate. In each Move Tier List, securing S Tier gains that character 5 count, while D Tier character would only get 1. There are 21 universal moves with the maximum 105 count. Is it possible to reach triple digit?

Shuton VS KEN One of the mysteries of Smash. There is an unexplained force to bond them together. Will they reach a close even record here too? [(Olimar+Pyra+Mythra)/3 VS (Sonic+Sephiroth)/2]
Round 5: 3.3 VS 3
Record: Shuton 4-1 KEN
Tea VS EU As far as I observe, this Tea man is a Japanese. However people are calling him the king of EU? The EU has sent Glutonny and Bloom4Eva to be their last line of defense. [Pac-Man+Kazuya VS Wario+Bayonetta]
Round 5: 7 VS 7
Record: Tea 2-2 EU, with 1 tie
Proto VS BanHam I heard there's a professional called Proto who rarely appears, but I know a person named BanHam is a hidden gem too. Let them fight. [Lucina Rank VS Min Min Rank]
Round 5: Min Min > Lucina
Record: Proto 2-3 BanHam
The Kurama MuteAce Movie We all know this is a movie of all time, but it remains debatable of who has better performance.
Round 5: Mario > Peach
Record: Kurama 4-1 MuteAce
BanCloudDaily Should Cloud be banned? The is only one rule: Cloud should be banned if he is better than Roy.
Round 5: Cloud > Roy
Record: Cloud 2-3 Roy. Cloud should not be banned at the moment.
ZSSSUX Does Zero Suit Samus sux? We will compare her in her armor and tight suit to see which one fares better.
Round 5: Samus > ZSS

Round 5: Speed
Record: Smash 0, Shield 1, Jump 2, Speed 1, Buster 1
Emblem Engage It is a common sense that Fire Emblem is the best and most popular series in Smash. Given how massive it is. We will see how many times two FE characters are placed adjacently on all lists.
Round 5: Roy&Chrom, Lucina&Marth
Record: 7
Joker's Harem For some reason, female characters placed behind Joker are automatically fallen into him. How many girls can Joker get each time? [ZSS is the only Samus counted. Female Robin/Corrin/Byleth and Alex are included. No Mii, IC, Villager, Isabelle, Wendy, Kazooie and any Pokemon-related characters.]
Round 5: 15 girls taken! (Pyra, Rosalina, Alex, Sheik, Min Min, Inkling, Zelda, Peach, Daisy, Wii Fit, Bayonetta, Corrin, ZSS, Robin, Lucina)
Which Pass Should You Buy? Well Fighter Pass 2 is better obviously... then let's see how much better than Fighter Pass 1 in this 6V6 Battle! Tier Score of each Pass is accumulated each round. Plant is counted as FP1 here. Aegis Score is averaged first before summing FP2.
Round 5: 19 VS 21.5
Record: 98 VS 116 . FP2 is better than FP1 by 18.4% at the moment.
Sakurai's Approval A wise man once said:
If I had to choose, I'd say I like Pyra better. Round 5: Mythra > Pyra

| P.S: I think I'm deeply fucked on a fundamental level [I'm pessimistic?]. I can't empirically and completely justify it, but that is what I feel. All that I have written is based on this feeling. This will be long and overexplained, and yes, this post is a biiiit political. Please don't shoot me, I won't ask you to vote for xyz. I think I had a pretty rough start compared to the average person. I won't play Trauma Olympics, but I think that I had a set of life circumstances that were niche enough that there just weren't as many resources and attention dedicated to people like me. In other words, I think people like me are uniquely marginalized. What's this special can of worms you ask? I'm a second-generation Chinese American. I think it's funny just saying that, but I do think politically and socially we are kind of like homeless. The vast majority of U.S Asian Americans in general feel like they don't really belong here, so I don't think I'm a special snowflake or something. Which honestly is even more depressing. I don't think I'm treated with respect. I think people speak over me. I see it a lot in how I'm stereotyped. People think they are all sorts of smart when they make China jokes to me. I'm not exactly offended, but I feel like it's a means to take power away from me. I feel like I have to fight for my dignity more than the average American. It feels bad because it's a sort of hypervigilance that's been forced on me that's admittedly, in part, self-imposed. This goes towards the positive ends of the spectrum as well. I sometimes get people asking me "Are you Japanese/Korean". That might seem like an innocent question, but I interpret it differently. I think people see Japanese and Koreans as "good East Asians". I.e Japanese people are polite and proper and Koreans are hot. So when somebody says "You look a bit Korean", it feels like they're saying you must be Korean because I find you good-looking for an East Asian. And when somebody asks me "Are you Japanese" after giving them, well, good service it feels off. The times when I replied with "No I'm Chinese" have been met with mixed reactions. Most people are cool, but some people I won't even get into. This, I believe some would call benevolent racism. All this exposition is to overexplain that as a racial minority, you're probably going to have to navigate problems that the average American doesn't have to. This is not the end of the world - it's not like these problems are unmanageable. However, I think that there just aren't enough resources out there to get people like me to understand how to properly manage these challenges. For example, I don't really know how to deal with rude people. Why? Well, part of it I think is because I found that the people who tried to teach me couldn't really relate to me on an emotional level. Let me paint the scene: I probably overreacted/reacted unstrategically to some rude/racist behavior. Enough of these incidents happen and the school tries to help me. Teachers and psychologists try to give me pointers. I could not fathom it. "Ignore it". "Kill them with kindness". "They're just kids". "Don't stoop to their level". I could not fathom it because I thought they were basically asking me to forgive my enemies. It made no sense to me back then, and some parts of it still do not make sense to me today. I felt that people who were rude to me were basically assaulting my humanity because you need to see someone like they are below you to treat them like shit. It was like I was being robbed of my power. I could do nothing to fight back, and I still cannot. I have resorted to ignoring it because I feel that there is just simply nothing I can do in front of that kind of behavior. I think Asian Americans have it the hardest socially with respect to this. There is not even the option of fighting fire with fire, because you're just kind of a meme race. There's sort of a filter with this stuff, If you know what people say about Asian eating habits... then you're in the know. All this is to overexplain that a large part of my life has been figuring out my identity. Unfortunately, my identity was mostly shoved down my throat because of a set of life circumstances. Having to figure out how to navigate social environments when you don't have the necessary tools and resources plus the minority penalty means that I have catching up to do. Catching up that's more difficult as you get older, it looks like. I'm not fully caught up. Everyone is kind of a work in progress but I think I am lagging behind. I think I'm a boring person that questions himself too much. Unconfident. A lot of it has to do with, yes, the entire essay above. It just feels like my life is something that I am being motherfucking subjected to. It feels like I have to carry this sack of responsibilities, roles, stereotypes, and expectations with me. Why the hell was I born into this? What the fuck. It is a slog. And forgive me, but I do envy others because it looks like their sack is less heavy. Can we please trade sacks? I am bitter and tired. I only go through with the motions of life instead of living it. It is hard for me to care about things. What makes me excited right now is Judo. That's just because I like the pain and violence. I like the fact that we are being trained to control another human being. Yes, control and power. I get to drag people this way and that way then I clobber them with uchi mata. It's a place where I get to impose my will on another living human being. It's amazing. I know, I'm sadistic. It's a place where I can let loose without questioning myself. For once, I get to meet someone head-on instead of ignoring them. For once I can go bone against bone and they cannot laugh me off. For once, I fucking matter and even I can't deny nor question myself, because everything in the dojo is a result of effort. Yes, when I get slammed or slam somebody else, it is all earned. The pain is real. The victory is real. Judo makes me alive. I don't think I would have gotten better with it. I have a hard time finding the words to tie this with dating. I don't want to rant or throw shit on the wall until something sticks. I think that when having to try your best to meet expectations and responsibilities is the norm, not trying can be seen as cool and rebellious, liberating. I do not think this is particularly novel. Lots of young people are doing stuff like this. In China, they have "laying flat". In America, we have antiwork, zoomers and their mentality(gen I belong to), and I think lots of feminist movements do something like this too(being aware of emotional labor). I see dating as another kind of social dance. And social skills are something that I lag behind on. Please trade sacks with me. The problem is that I evidently care about having a woman love me. I just do. The idea of a girlfriend excites me if I let it. The problem is I might be a misogynist. I believe general stuff found on PurplePillDebate. I'm of the mind that the best a guy like me can do is to ignore it when cute couples hold hands or the hot guy at the gym sleeps with all the girls there. I'm pretty bitter about it because I wish I was in their position. There is nothing that I can do to change this. I think that part of my fantasy is the need for a woman to validate me for who I am without me having to put in the effort. Why? Because I want to drop that damn sack for a second god damn it. I'm just way too bitter and tired. The joke is that I'm fucking 23 and graduating in a week. It's okay you can laugh. I allow it lol. The worse part is I think I'm jaded enough that people can see it. I try to be chill but truly, I am fucking jaded. My worse fear is that I do actually become habitually violent. It's has happened before when I question myself. "Why are you such a pushover", and suddenly I let loose some restraints. It's quite ugly. I just don't know how to deal with the shit in my life. I won't go too much into it, but there's also an entire discourse about Asian American gender relations. I don't want to go into that entire rabbit hole, but it's there. If you know, you know. I will not get into it, but I think I am pretty misogynistic. Especially towards AA women. As in I assume they don't like me because I remind them of their brother. Oh btw here's me. https://preview.redd.it/0zlvbb2gpz4b1.jpg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d5329b113ecdbf5faee83c6889860c085f1a3c4 If you made it this far, thanks. 2023.06.09 13:48 AleksanderPt Marketing games on the Chinese social media
If you are interested in
how marketing games on the Chinese social media looks like then check our most recent case study. It describes our work on the X series with Egosoft, one of the oldest independent studios in Germany.
So, if you want to learn:
👉 How many views did the most popular video from an influencer get?
👉 What's our proudest achievement in working together?
👉 And, of course: what results have we achieved during our cooperation?
Then sit down, relax… and read our latest case study!
WHAT was the scope? - Content creation and localisation
- Distribution on Bilibili & Heybox
- Influencer and PR outreach
- Community management
HOW did our actions impact the business? - +10 000 - player’s growth on Heybox from September 2022 to April 2023
- 17 thousand - people watched our first video on Bilibili in just 72 hours after launch (and without any paid promotion)
- 51 thousand - number of views on the 1-hour long influencer video that resulted from our outreach
- BACKGROUND
“We make space games.”
It’s certainly one way to describe
over 25 years of constant work on the X series - popular space simulators, allowing players to freely explore the ever-expanding universe. Whether they want to focus on trade, combat or creating an empire - they can trust the team at Egosoft is constantly dedicated to improving their experience and making it more modern.
What could be a next step for such a well-recognizable studio?
The answer is simple -
reaching even a wider audience. This is when the Chinese market comes into play.
Despite 8% of their global sales coming from China, there was a lack of communication towards Chinese gamers, which presented a significant potential for growth. We saw a lot of opportunities since the X4 series has already attracted a wide community. There were hundreds of videos with high engagement rate and an existing modding scene.
Our cooperation started in November, with a kick-off meeting taking place on 7.11.22. At the beginning of our work, X4 was quite popular in its genre, but not known to the wider audience. As the series has a high entry level, the players were mostly hardcore fans.
Our cooperation was aimed at
increasing brand awareness and promoting the X4 series to the Chinese gaming community. “We come to Heybox to get closer to the X-series fans, and welcome new astronauts to try out the latest "X4"!” 2. OUR SOLUTIONS In order to achieve that, we were responsible for:
- Content creation and localisation
You cannot enter Chinese social media without content in Chinese. Besides creating posts, we also took care of localizing announcements and existing videos - for example, the official trailer for the game.
The results speak for themselves -
in only 72 hours after launch, the trailer reached 17k views without any paid promotio****n. We managed to organically gain 497 followers, 390 likes, 54 shares and 174 comments - with many expressing excitement for future content. It was
the first video published on Egosoft’s Bilibili channel, aimed at an
entirely new audience - with no prior contact before that.
- Distribution on Bilibili & Heybox
Registration of the official accounts on Chinese social media is an important step in a long term strategy for the market. The process itself wasn’t as smooth as we hoped - getting the official certification took longer than expected. Fortunately, we managed to go through it, allowing us to distribute our content. Starting from scratch,
in the last 4 months we gained 2101 followers on Bilibili**.**
We created an influencer database and conducted outreach with a goal of establishing relationships with Chinese content creators. The most prominent result of this cooperation was
1 hour long video published by 机械天团 - channel with 89k fans. It was definitely one of our records on Bilibili - right now, it has
51 thousand views, and it has reached 1979 likes and 307 comments. 机械天团 (Mechanical Sky Team) spent hundreds of hours playing the series and created a tutorial for new players, allowing them to enter and explore the secrets of X4 universe.
The popularity of the video was a good indication of the value they had for other players. As the series can present serious challenges for newcomers, 机械天团 guide helped them to make first steps in its vast world. Looking at the comments, the video achieved this purpose. Many people praised the creators and the game (“this is so much fun!”) and thanked them for their content.
- PR Outreach to Chinese news outlets & bloggers
As a part of our agreement, we also took care of establishing contact with Chinese news outlets. We also distributed game keys during the
Taipei Game Show in February, working on relationships with influencers and media.
- Community management on Chinese social media
As there was no previous engagement with Chinese players, showing them that t
he developer cares about them and is there to stay was key. In order to achieve that, we were sure to address their comments, and feature content that attracted new players (key giveaways) and catered to the existing ones (ask me anything post).
The most prominent piece we were responsible for was
the interview created specifically for the Chinese gamers. It’s definitely something we are the most proud of.
One of our team members, Aleksander, gathered the community's questions and during a 30-minute long video asked them to Egosoft’s founder,
Bernd Lehahn.
Bernd explained in detail his motivations behind creating and developing the X-series universe. The main idea was to grant players the opportunity to be what they want and freedom in leading their journey in the virtual universe, making the games more accessible to a wider audience.
The players from China had a unique opportunity to learn that it was Hong Kong and its neon-lit cityscape was a big inspiration to the studio.
3. OUR RESULTS Between September 2022 to April 2023,
the number of players on Heybox grew from 20k to 30k, and the rating has risen from 7.6 to 7.9.
When we started, the average number of players online was 1468. Ever since then,
the numbers grew to 4716, with 5,281 in April. What’s more, during the premiere of the new DLC the number of simultaneous players in the game grew by
+174.8% on Heybox, reaching a record peak:
10,720, up from 7,568 in the past year.
4. SUMMARY Building a long-lasting connection with the community is definitely key if you are looking to enter the Chinese gaming market. The reaction to the fourth expansion was a great indication of that. Looking at the huge amounts of comments and enthusiasm among the Chinese players during the last month, we can’t wait to plan for the future and wonder: what else can we do to further increase that interest?
We would love to give you a glimpse into Egosoft’s Chinese community. After all,
what’s the best place to see the impact of our actions but words of actual players from China? “A good game deserves more attention and hopefully through my tutorial more friends will recognize this magnificent game.” There is no better praise than reading the personal stories of these gamers, taking their time to send the developer some nice words and wishes for the future.
“Let's hope Egosoft keeps up the good work and continues to make the best space games in the world!” That’s what we hope too.
Huge thank you to the whole Egosoft’s team - it was a real pleasure to be working with you during these past months.
Quoting Bernd’s final message from our interview:
“It’s great that you guys are now finding our game more and that it is getting more successful in China. I love the country, I love the culture, and it would be really nice to see more of you joining us and becoming more active. Maybe we can soon see each other in the online version, that would be really exciting.”
That’s what we all wish for in the future.
If you are interested in seeing the most popular content pieces from our cooperation - or have any further questions you would like to ask a
digital marketing agency for gamedev, specializing in the Chinese market - feel free to ask!

2023.06.09 13:34 autotldr China: 'Hacker empire' US is 'spreading rumours' with talk of Cuba spy station
This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 39%. (I'm a bot)
BEIJING, June 9 - China's foreign ministry on Friday said "Spreading rumours and slander" is a common tactic of "Hacker empire" the United States, after a media report that China has reached a deal with Cuba to set up an electronic eavesdropping facility on the island.
Citing U.S. officials familiar with classified intelligence, the Wall Street Journal said such a spy installation would allow Beijing to gather electronic communications from the southeastern United States, home to many U.S. military bases, as well as monitor ship traffic.
Cuba and China have reached an agreement in principle, the U.S. officials said, with China to pay Cuba "Several billion dollars" for the eavesdropping station, according to the Journal.
"As we all know, spreading rumours and slander is a common tactic of the United States," said Wang Wenbin, spokesperson at the Chinese foreign ministry.
"The United States is also the most powerful hacker empire in the world, and also veritably a major monitoring nation."
The reported deal could raise questions about a near-term visit to China that U.S. officials say Secretary of State Antony Blinken is planning.

2023.06.09 13:34 autotldr Biden Administration And Cuba Deny Chinese ‘Eavesdropping’ Site In Cuba
This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 54%. (I'm a bot)
Updated Jun 8, 2023, 06:07pm EDT. Cuban and U.S. officials on Thursday denied a Wall Street Journal report suggesting Cuban officials are in cahoots with China to construct a multi-billion-dollar "Eavesdropping" facility just 100 miles south of Florida, a move that could escalate U.S.-China tensions, calling the existence of a facility "Incorrect."
U.S. officials familiar with classified intelligence told the Journal China agreed to pay Cuba "Several billion dollars" to construct the station, allowing Chinese surveillance services to pick up electronic communications in the U.S., including at military bases and through ship traffic.
Through the site, Chinese agents would reportedly be able to monitor satellite transmissions, emails and phone calls at much closer range, sparking backlash from U.S. politicians, including 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley and Sen. Marco Rubio, who tweeted: "The threat to America from Cuba isn't just real, it is far worse than this."
U.S. Air Force fighter jets shot it down over the Atlantic in February after it crossed over the U.S. In response, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs Qin Gang argued perceptions of China in the U.S. are "Seriously distorted," and that the U.S. government is working to "Contain and suppress" China.
Allegations of Chinese spying add to decades of tension and mutual suspicion between the U.S. and Cuba dating back to the Cuban Revolution in the late 1950s, years before the missile crisis of the Kennedy Administration.
While the U.S maintains a tight economic embargo around the country, U.S. officials-including diplomats-stationed in Cuba have reported strange sounds and sensations, as well as hearing and vision loss, nausea and vertigo in an unexplained phenomenon referred to as Havana Syndrome.

2023.06.09 13:03 Glacial_Shield_W The Worst of Me
I see it in Your eyes, There are days when what You needed to hear were lies.
But I just can't do that, My mind squirms and shakes like a bucket trapping a rat.
And when it does finally burst, I chew my way through to daylight, like a Fallen Angel fleeing the Cursed.
The panic ebs and flows before it subsides, The Thing crawls out from the place in which it hides.
The Good in me shows itself to the door, The Child in me sobs and collapses to the floor.
And Something claws its way to the forefront, Something whispers to me that I always need to be blunt.
It may be harsh, it may be cruel, But I swear to whatever God exists, I will be nobody's fool.
And that is the agony of it all, Sometimes you need to be blind to avoid the fall.
It's ironic, Like convincing the Sane that they are psychotic.
You know how I can twist a word, But make sure there is still truth in everything you have heard.
Call me Lucifer, Tell me that my thoughts are a deadly lure, through all of the things that they infer.
You aren't right and you aren't wrong, But that Demon has things for which he will always long.
It twitches and It spasms, It's trembling fills my mind with bottomless chasms.
And when I am not careful, I stumble in, The voices come to me again.
They rage and they regret, They remind me of every thing over which I fret.
They screech to me of my guilt, They drive the remorse into me, to the hilt. They tell me I'm not in a pit, I'm just surrounded by the walls that I built.
And by the time I climb to the top of that molded stone, You are gone, and I am alone.
It is so easy to let go and just plummet, If there is nothing at the top, why bother trying to reach the summit?
If Heaven is just an empty Husk, Why not give up and fade into the Dusk?
If its Golden Halls always fail to fill my soul, Why fight back against the realities that have taken their toll?
I don't want to be the pessimist, But I never was able to resist.
There is strength in the bile, Even as it corrodes those who stay and listen for awhile.
And their reactions to the caustic, Makes me want to turn on my Demon and accost it.
But there is nothing to attack except my own shadow, And all it did was whisper everything to me that I had to know.
The anger and the pain entwine, And every time it happens, I cross the line.
Because it is better to be Hell Bent, Than it is to believe that these curses were from Heaven Sent.
Because if this is truly what He wants, Then it is the Devil which he taunts.
Because that Thing threatens to have its say, It doesn't care if I pray.
It cackles and it bites, It never turns away from the fights.
It doesn't care who takes a stand, It doesn't care if its actions scorch the land.
There is already blood on the soil, It works its magic as I am trapped in the toil.
And it is unrelenting in its wrath, It is unrepenting when it tears down anything in its path.
It can be my Love, It can be the innocence of a Dove.
Don't reach out to the Man Who Cries, I will lash out at anyone who pries.
It avoids the need for deflection, I can't talk when I'm trapped in self reflection.
I hate every fist that I threw, I can't forgive myself for what I put others through.
I wish I didn't learn the things that I knew. I wish that I never met You.
I would go back and not infect Your life, I would shield you from all of my strife.
Without You, I may not have survived, Without me, You may have thrived.
It's a bitter dichotomy, Our Love was a lesson on what not to be.
But for me, it was needed, And that was why I never conceded.
I never threw in the towel, And now, for my sins, I have to see you as I howl.
As I rip myself to pieces again, As I demand to myself that I act like a man.
As I buffet my emotions with pills, As I reject the things that used to give me thrills.
I do not drink, Because I always need to clearly think.
I do not trust, I can't let myself cave into my lust.
I can't look into my own eyes, Every time I do, something inside of me dies.
But if I let myself fade into the void, It may let out that Thing that only ever destroyed.
And I can't let It win, I can't let It in.
But my fear of It does not abate, It leaves me in a consistently anxious state.
It makes both sides the worst of me, Neither of us can let anything be.
And the best of me hides itself into a crevice, It doesn't want to witness any of this.
It doesn't want to see the Rage and the Remorse wage war, It doesn't want to see me question what my life was for.
And It can't put Itself between two unflinching Beasts, Two unwavering Priests.
They fight for my salvation, Even as They walk me to my devastation.
And I can't bring myself to look upon the wake, I don't know how much more of this I can take.
But I will slave on, I refuse to accept that I am simply Their pawn, Even as Their battle wages on and on.
The lightning strikes down the horizon, This is the dusk that innocence dies in.

2023.06.09 12:59 Faunas-bestie To whom do you disclose your cancer?
So I’m recently and ambiguously diagnosed (63f). I say ambiguously because I’ve had 3 MRI’s and I’m getting the message they are pretty sure it’s a soft-tissue sarcoma and “malignant”. How they can tell that through an MRI before doing a biopsy, I don’t know, but maybe it’s because my mom died of bone cancer. Anyway, I told my husband of course, and my best friend. My appointment with a soft tissue sarcoma is July 6. I’m not telling my adult kids, my sister, or my father until I know for sure and most likely not at all until after it’s removed and I’m in the clear.
I have chosen to tell a couple of random friends that I know will listen, but would not be sleeplessly worrying with no possibility of them telling my family. They listen, give advice and tell stories of hope.
I feel like my kids, sister, and father would wig out, be overwhelmed with worry, and they couldn’t do anything about it anyway. This is how my mother handled it. She had four cancers including sarcoma, and she didn’t tell us until she started losing her hair. (She lived in FL, we are in the mid-Atlantic region). I was never mad about that, I understood it. In the coming weeks I’ll be spending a lot of time with my daughter and grandkids and it’s unlikely they will notice anything odd.
How do you decide who to tell/talk to? Is there anyone you have decided not to discuss this with?

2023.06.09 12:53 Competitive_Text1914 Hells Kitchen 6th Place Season: Episode 13
Chef Gordon Ramsay welcomed his final 7 Chefs back to Hells Kitchen and said he was very proud of them for reaching this stage and that today they would be fighting for black jackets! However, he said he only had 5 to give out and with 7 Chefs remaining that meant there would be 2 eliminations. Kanae said this something she’d been waiting for for years after feeling like she was robbed at missing out on Season 18 and Van said he didn’t think he’d struggle as he’d been the best at challenges all season so he was confident at being in the top 5. Ramsay said that the first challenge would involve a Chef getting a box which had a different cuisine inside and that every Chef would have to cook a dish from that country. First up was Giovanni who had to cook with Chinese cuisine and his seabass was overcooked so Ramsay said there would definitely be at least 2 bitter dishes and Giovanni realise he’d have to do another round. Next up was Elizabeth with her Mexican pork dish which Ramsay enjoyed except the flavours were too mixed and Tara was next with her Thai flank steak which Ramsay liked except the vegetables needed more seasoning. Van’s French inspired halibut was next which Ramsay loved except he wanted more on the plate and Nikki was next with Japanese inspired tuna which Ramsay also loved and said the dishes were hotting up. Kanae was next with her Spanish inspired shrimp and chicken dish which also got great reviews and with Ed’s Indian cod also getting great reviews, it was between those 4 who would receive the first black jackets. After a pause, Ramsay announced that VAN had received the first black jacket and Van was ecstatic, saying nothing was stopping him winning Hells Kitchen on his 3rd try. Ramsay said the 2nd black jacket was between Kanae and Nikki but said that KANAE had the stronger dish and Kanae said she had killed it today and couldn’t wait to wear a black jacket.
While Van and Kanae chilled in the lounge, Ramsay said the next challenge would see each Chef grab ingredients from under a dome with a protein each and Nikki said she could not fail this time round after coming so close in Season 19 and Tara also had the same feeling, saying she was going to throw people out the way to get the right ingredients. First up was Elizabeth with her chicken dish and Ramsay enjoyed it other under-seasoned eggplant and Ed’s lobster was up next which was also enjoyed other than slightly too much garlic. Giovanni’s NY strip was alot better received than his first dish other than too much polenta and Tara’s salmon was criticised for having undercooked potatoes so Tara realised she was going to have to fight in the last round. Nikki’s veal was last up and Ramsay said he couldn’t find a single issue with the dish and put NIKKI through to the lounge next and Nikki said this was the best feeling after just missing out in Season 19. Ramsay said there was one more place in the lounge before the final challenge and he gave it to GIOVANNI for his superb dish and Giovanni said he could not believe he’d done it and dived into the lounge to celebrate. Van was happy to see Giovanni in black jackets and Kanae said Nikki had deserved it for her performance the whole season.
There was one last place left in the lounge and Kanae said she hoped it would be Ed while Giovanni was hoping Ed wouldn’t come back as he saw him as competition. Ed said it was extremely stressful to be left with only a 1 out of 3 chance of winning and Elizabeth felt like her chances were slipping away. Ramsay announced that the last challenge would be rolling dice for ingredients but Ramsay rolled first and landed on S, declaring Sturgeon as the protein they would be cooking and Tara was dreading this having not much experience with sturgeon. Tara was up first with her sturgeon dish and Ramsay said it was a great dish with no issues and Ed was up next, and his dish was also praised as Ramsay said it this was going to be a tough decision. Elizabeth was up last and despite Ramsay praising the sauce, he said the sturgeon was sadly overcooked so eliminated ELIZABETH in 7th place, saying she had done so well to reach this far but sadly fell at the last hurdle. Ramsay then said he wasn’t done and got the 4 chefs in the lounge to decide who had the best dish between Tara and Ed, and that he wouldn’t say who’s dish it was. Van tasted first and voted for Ed but Kanae tied it up by voting for Tara’s dish. Nikki and Giovanni voted for ED though which saw him receive the last black jacket and he said that was far too close for comfort but felt amazing and TARA was eliminated from Hells Kitchen, and Ramsay told her to not stop her dream but that the other Chefs had spoken.

2023.06.09 12:16 jcheezey123 Curious about what is the best chinese language program in Tawain for a Heritage Speaker?
Hello everyone,
I am a Taiwanese heritage speaker from the US looking to study Chinese for a year and I am not sure what program is good for me based on my background.
Currently, I am stuck between NTNU's MTC vs Tainan Cheng Kung University and I am unsure which school would be better suited for my differences in my reading/writing and comprehension skills. I took the TOKFL recently and scored CEFR B2 for listening and A1 for reading. I am hoping to bridge the gap between my comprehension and reading skills.
Currently, I was leaning toward MTC because I have heard they do have a heritage speaker track but I am worried since I hear that they are so writing-focused that I wouldn't do as well. My writing skills are not as good! But, many heritage speakers have told me that this separate track was very helpful for them.
Overall, for Cheng Kung University, I generally hear really positive reviews on the program but not much from heritage speakers so I would be curious if anyone has any comments on that.
I also have the Huayi scholarship for 12 months.
Can folks share their experiences on what program would be best suited for my situation? Thank you so much!

Whether it's a casual lunch, a delightful breakfast, or a cherished tea time, having the right kitchen crockery sets can elevate your dining experience. Here are some stylish and functional options to consider: Kitchen crockery sets come in a wide range of colors, from vibrant hues to understated whites. You can choose from various patterns such as florals, stripes, and polka dots, based on your preferences. The crockery is available in different materials, including: - Porcelain: Ideal for formal settings, porcelain crockery is durable and non-porous. It has a delicate, glass-like appearance and is available in a variety of colors. Porcelain can be safely cleaned in a dishwasher and is microwave and oven-friendly, but be cautious with metallic accents that might not be microwave-safe.
- Bone China: Translucent and milky white, bone china crockery is lightweight and elegant. Although it requires careful handling, it is durable and chip-resistant. Bone china is microwave-friendly, dishwasher-safe, and suitable for oven use, making it a popular choice for formal occasions.
- Stoneware: Perfect for casual settings, stoneware crockery is sturdy and non-porous. Glazed stoneware sets with finishes like shiny, matte, or satin offer a smooth look and are easy to maintain. They are resistant to chipping and can be used in the microwave, freezer, and oven. Avoid subjecting stoneware to sudden temperature changes.
- Earthenware: With a rustic appeal, earthenware crockery suits simple settings. While it is fragile to handle, it has a sturdy build. It is porous and often glazed, but it cannot withstand high-temperature changes, so it is not oven or microwave-safe. Earthenware is well-suited for farmhouse-style homes.
- Ceramic Crockery: Ceramic crockery is biodegradable, recyclable, and environmentally friendly. It is both versatile and brittle, making it suitable for cooking dry and wet items, baking, and roasting. Ceramic crockery is easy to clean, non-stick, and prevents food from burning. It is a healthy, safe, and non-toxic option.
- Glass Crockery: Delicate and breakable, glass crockery comes in various colors and can be transparent. Due to its fragility, careful handling is required to avoid breakage.
- Metal Crockery: Steel or metal dinnerware is durable and break-resistant, making it an excellent choice for families with children. It is suitable for both formal and casual occasions. Metal crockery can be directly heated on a gas flame and is easy to clean.
- Melamine: Made from durable plastic resin, melamine crockery is non-breakable and easy to handle. It is a popular choice for households with children. Melamine crockery is dishwasher-safe but should not be used in microwaves or ovens. It is an affordable option for the middle class.
In terms of crockery set pieces, Indian thali lunch sets typically include a plate, a glass, a spoon, and three bowls. Tea sets usually consist of a teapot, sugar pot, milk pot, cups, saucers, and spoons. Western crockery sets vary for starters, main courses, and desserts, featuring soup bowls, different-sized plates, bowls for cereals or desserts, and hot chocolate mugs. 2023.06.09 11:08 kahlen369 27 [F4R] Online/anywhere - looking to talk and see where it goes!
I’m bi and open to any gender. I don’t mind an age difference as long as it’s not too big.
Used to be an architect, but I’m currently a freelance artist and writer. You can check out my stuff just be clicking through my profile. I can also link/show more pics if u wanna see them! Always happy to show off my stuff haha.
You can feel free to stalk my profile in general. I don’t mind and I’ll probably be doing the same.
I'm Chinese-Filipino, currently living in the Philippines. I speak Mandarin and Fookien relatively fluently, along with English and Filipino. But English is definitely my best language and I’m probably gonna be using that 99% of the time we talk lol. Though if u wanna hit me up in Mandarin I have been wanting to practice it! Just be aware I’m like intermediate level at best.
I can seem quiet at first glance, but I get really really loud once I get close to someone. Friends have told me before that I have no volume control--or filter, and I tend to be really blunt. I'm not good at lying because I tend to show everything on my face (so you'll know if I like you or not.. Unless you're as bad at reading nonverbal cues as I am). Despite this, I like to use sarcasm a lot... Even online, which is really hard.. So I'm going to try not to do that here.
To sum it up, I might be a little weird but at least I won't be boring. :)
I’ve got a ton of different interests, which just checking the subs i frequent should tell you about. But to sum it up, I enjoy anime/cartoons/animation in general, some live action series too, video games (mostly handheld stuff, with some PC and my Switch—I’m down for some multiplayer games), fanfiction (a lot of times more than the original canon lol) and several niche interests. Also been getting more into fitness lately. Been playing badminton (and taking lessons) and trying vainly to learn how to dance via Youtube.
I don’t mind exchanging photos but I don’t like voice or video calls. Sisks. Hope that doesn’t make me seem like a scammer but I’m just more comfortable writing and chatting (i’m pretty wordy, as u can probably already tell, and I enjoy long messages like we’re writing letters to each other haha) vs talking. Also tends to be lots of annoying background noise where I live.
(Speaking of though, I can be reaally bad at noticing messages/replying back/etc. So sorry in advance for long wait times in between messages, but I’m trying to be better about that this year so let’s see, lol)

2023.06.09 10:52 kingjobus Lowering springs for racing advice
I have a bit of a financial dilemma with getting the cheapest suspension setup for a budget 6 hour endurance race. Basically, my team and I are building the cheapest race car (sort of) for as little money as possible. I'm confident it will be some sort of VAG 1.9tdi but my problem is I need a stiff suspension setup. I did a similar 4 hour race in March and used some Maxpeedingrods Chinese coilovers and they were utter shite. I know a set of used coilovers from a decent company would be the best shout but I kind of doubt I can find some. What I am thinking is a set of stiff lowering springs and shocks that are compatible with the spring rate. The budget is realistically £200, so think 24 hours of Lemons but without the "safety" components loophole.
Does anyone have any experience doing track days/racing with seriously cheap setups like this?

2023.06.09 10:32 MNLYYZYEG Heart Signal 4 - Episode 4 - 230609
Heart Signal 4 (하트시그널4) is finally here after 3 years.
Episode 4 Discussion for Heart Signal 4 over in /koreanvariety subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/koreanvariety/comments/144zibw/heart_signal_4_episode_4_230609/
Synopsis:
Cupid returns for a fresh assault on the hearts of a new group of romance-ready singletons. The group has never met before, but must live together in Signal House. The house rules encourage flirty behavior, but forbid housemates from directly telling anyone that they like them. Instead, they must express their feelings via text message. But there’s a twist: All texts to housemates are anonymous – meaning recipients have to guess who is trying to make a love connection with them.
Watching events unfurl in the house is a celebrity panel of love experts. These include returning romance fans Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Ea Na, and Lee Sang Min, all veterans of previous “Heart Signal” seasons. And joining this trio this time around is a fresh crop of star pundits, including OH MY GIRL member Mimi, Kang Seung Yoon of WINNER, and leading psychiatrist Kim Chong Gi.
This variety TV show series is the follow-up to 2017’s “Heart Signal.” A second series was released in 2018. And this was followed up with Season 3 in 2020.

Subtitles
Viki should have the English subtitles available around say 9PM Eastern Daylight Time/New York Time.
For VIU and KOCOWA, it seems they're a bit delayed, several hours later after Viki.
For VIU access, you'll probably have to use VPNs set to Singapore/Southeast Asia to view their catalog.
Oh and Heart Signal 4 (and earlier seasons) is also apparently available on Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, et cetera, but as usual there's some region restrictions.
Accessing Kdramas, Korean variety shows, and so on (basically Viki, VIU, Disney+, Netflix, etc.): https://www.reddit.com/koreanvariety/comments/10fpzhx/overall_thoughts_on_love_catcher_in_bali/j5cmhaw/ and https://www.reddit.com/koreanvariety/comments/13bmtin/anyone_know_where_can_i_watch_the_below_korean/jjbtnuz/

For Heart Signal, the original Korean version and some seasons of the Chinese version should be on Viki.
Season 2 of both the Korean and Chinese versions are considered the best, and now some people also really like the 5th season of the Chinese version.
The upcoming 6th season of the Chinese version just wrapped up filming, it should be available soon, maybe a few more months or so.

With the Chinese version of Heart Signal, it's available on the WeTV/Tencent Video website (has English subs), and also their WeTV/Tencent Video channels on Youtube for free but without proper English subs.
Through the Tencent Video Youtube channel you'll have to use auto-translate from Chinese/Mandarin or maybe say Thai, Vietnamese, etc. So for English subs you have to check their own WeTV/Tencent Video/etc. website.
Viki has the 1st, 2nd, and 5th seasons of the Chinese version of Heart Signal, so you'll have to look for the 3rd (心动的信号S3) and 4th season (心动的信号S4) elsewhere. Like use auto-translate/etc. with the Youtube episodes, or check their actual WeTV/Tencent Video website.
Heart Signal 3 (Chinese Version), Episode 1 and playlist (has Thai and Vietnamese subtitles, use auto-translate to English/any desired language): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywBixGNlkYs&list=PLMX26aiIvX5reBhNMq0rNZHoDa_aGblAs
Heart Signal 4 (Chinese Version), Episode 1 and playlist (these episodes on Youtube for the 4th season don't even have automatic captions/subtitles (no Thai/Vietnamese/Chinese/etc. subs either), so go on WeTV/Tencent Video's website or some places (like Bilibili, etc.) for other subtitles): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWNF5cxAap0&list=PLb8w8KsDSK1wtxaCeyEAMXCHxsCYJLK4A
If you don't want to wait for Viki/VIU/KOCOWA/etc. subtitles (and to get ahead of spoilers), you guys can watch the raw Episode 4 on this Channel A (채널에이방송영상) channel (appears like an hour or so later): https://www.youtube.com/@user-sh4gc2fu9i/videos
They regionally restricted it right after Episode 2, lol, so a VPN set to Korea will probably unlock it. This was the link to Episode 2 of Heart Signal 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0IHJ44sQdg
That video for Episode 2 (from the Channel A (채널에이방송영상) channel) has no English/etc. subtitles, but with auto-generated Korean, you can use auto-translate to English/any desired language (it worked two weeks ago): https://www.reddit.com/koreanvariety/comments/13q991t/heart_signal_4_episode_2_230524/jlgihm0/
This is the link to Episode 3 of Heart Signal 4 from the Channel A (채널에이방송영상) channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSS5o-ExEA8
Oh and if you want to watch it live (there's advertisements and other shows around the Heart Signal 4 episode stream), then you can also visit the Channel A website: https://www.ichannela.com/com/cmm/onair.do
Note the release schedule in Korea: like UTC+9, Korean Standard Time, 10:50PM every Friday. That just translates to around 9:50AM New York Time/Eastern Daylight Time. So make sure to tune in around that specific time as otherwise you'll miss the episode release and get like a different thing, lol.
New Japanese dating show called "Is She the Wolf" on Netflix later this September 2023, it's kinda like Love Catcher: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc8Q4T0HFkQ and https://www.reddit.com/terracehouse/comments/13y0vbp/new_netflix_series_is_she_the_wolf_looks_like_it/jmkhyea/
For fans of EXchange/Transit Love (환승연애), there's now Love Transit, the Japanese version of EXchange/Transit Love, it should be available on Amazon Prime Video Japan this June 15, so like 1 more week. And it'll have fewer episodes, so wonder how the runtime or episode length will be as that's key for the emotional investment with the show.

2023.06.09 10:17 j0ckxr09 Amplifier recommendations for B&C 18NW100 4 ohm
I'm looking to get a mid level amp for some B&C 18NW100 1200W at 4 ohm. It doesn't need to be quiet as I will be using it for outdoor parties. It would be the best if I can find either one with 4 channels (1 per channel) or one with 2 channel 2 ohm stable that can handle 2 in parallel.
I am open to look for a resale as well.. Right now I found the Crown Xti 6002 with an option having plenty of headroom when running 1 speaker per channel, but only 20% extra headroom at 2 ohm (2400 vs 3000). Other option are lab gruppen clones from simbosen, CVR amps etc. What's your opinion on clones/ chinese amps?
What are some other options I should look into?
