I bought a copy of the 2010 Friday Music Bat Out Of Hell pressing, which I have been wanting for awhile. After paying a hefty price, it arrived today. The seller had it listed as NM/M-. The vinyl itself was extremely dirty with fingerprint smudges. After cleaning it, the record played fine and sounded amazing. But I noticed the jacket is in poor shape. Numerous small creases, corner dings, and someone took what looks like a knife to the barcode and scratched it out. I contacted the seller but I don’t really want a refund because then I’m out a record and shipping to send it back.
It just seems like common sense if the jacket has been knifed, let’s put that in the listing.
Anyone had similar experiences?
