Hi, I don't know what to do now. I'm suffering with my IB. I'm in grade 11 now, so IB 1. Now, my IB 1 is going over. I only have final exam from next Wednesday. I was good at studying. In Korea, I was quite top students in grade in my middle school as I could go to high school for specific purpose of study. I was proud of myself that I did it by myself without any other private study help. After moving abroad because of my father's job, the situation totally changed. I couldn't follow up the class. I couldn't understand it during the class time, so I could ask a question to teacher, even I couldn't answer to the teachers' question anymore. Even though, I could cover them by using my extra time after school. So I could get high gpa as 4.00 , perfect score. So I believe that I'm adapting here, overcoming the problem. But after studying IB, I felt like I just fail it. IB course has much more contents to study and requires a lot of work to do like IA, EE or CAS. I couldn't focus on my study well with much time that I used to. I just attend school while still having trouble to understand it. Since I couldn't understand the contents, I have to study from the basic concept, and textbook questions, and then past papers and further materials. So.. there were so many things to do and I couldn't get them perfectly. My score falls. In 10th grade, I got overall average as 94. But after IB 1, I got 82 for first term, 78 for second term, and 80 for this last term. (Our school has 3 terms per year) Since my school has exam every week (not for all subjects, but rotated) I couldn't review the part that I lost or prepare forward. Now, I feel that I'm completely lost. Worst thing is that I already fail my physics, and math once each. For physics, which that I persue for major, I'd never get more than 80. Always got 60-something and sometimes more than 70. Can I go to university? Can I just apply for it? I'm so scared that I fail my life. My parents already gave me up. They are just focusing on my little brother.
Can anyone suggest me how to deal with this situation? Can I get some hope just for my IB Final?

I'm here alone once again. While my roommate and his girlfriend headoff to attend a wedding. I'd be a liar to say that the first thing crossing my mind wasn't you.
I sat here, thinking of when we were younger. Stuck in a beautiful honeymoon phase that felt like it lasted forever while we were in each other's arms. All the times you used to doll up just for me out of your own desire to make me speechless every damn time.
I imagined how you would dress up. What you would wear to such a special occasion. How you would like walking down the red carpet I wish to be rolled out just for you. My eyes glued to you alone as the rest of the world ceases to exist. A beautiful, rosy cheeked little shy yet excited smile on your face as you loving stared right back at me.
I nearly broke out in tears once again as I feel my heart grow heavier and heavier recently by the day. I wish a positive change between us finally happened already. Cause this pain is sincerely worse than anything else in life can throw at me. It genuinely hurts my chest. Like it's caving in on itself as I choke back tears.
I'm happy, I've been taking care of myself. I've been making achievment after achievment. I won't lie, I've neglected some things still. I've made choices I myself wasn't comfortable with, but needed to do so that way I can learn and figure myself out. What I want, my boundaries, and being humble. Training my brain and memory every single day. Im very proud of myself.
But, my heart is miserable. I've numbed it out so that way I can stand by what it is you want. To give the respect of you wanting space. Yet I can't help but think of other people I've helped. They made that choice as well. But, not once did they ever get their s/o back.
The shadows and gripping hands of fear has bren scratching at me. I'm trying to numb my heart out again. Pushing down this deep desire and want for you to be in my arms.
I have to take care of everything first. I have to remind myself of your words when we last spoke. I will be okay.
But fucking god damn it all to hell I fucking miss ya lil sea lass.

I’m sorry for the incoming rant , but I wanted to find a space to express my thoughts because I have no one to talk to and I’d appreciate that if u want to comment to read in full first : I went over to a friends house last night. She had a a nice girls night in and the vibes were great ! She ended up recording me doing a funny impression because we were all goofing around , but when I saw the video I immediately wanted to cry and off myself right then and there. Seeing my double chin on camera and then having to ask her to take the video down because I was too embarrassed for others to see it was really such an awkward moment. I gained a lot of weight since 2020. I’ve dealt with bad depression for over a decade but I was never an emotional eater. I’ve also dealt with eating disorders and binges as well in the past. But my weight picked up once the pandemic started. I did lose a little weight in 2021 but immediately gained it all back.
I used to be perfect and skinny. But now I keep getting bigger and bigger and have no motivation to go to my gym or eat healthy like I used to . I’ve always been a foodie and won’t apologize for it but at least I knew what balance was back then. (Excluding the eating disorder era🤦‍♀️) but now I go overboard with it all. When I see myself in the mirror I resort back to emotional eating and then emotional eat some more because I know deep down I want to change and get fit again . People always tell me I am a beautiful girl. I’ve never been devoid of hearing it (men and women) especially with the interactive job I do , I hear it almost every day but I can’t see it myself and it makes me want to die. I know I could be better if I lost the weight. Not just for vanity but for my actual health . I can’t afford therapy . It’s to the point where I lock myself up in the house because I’m too embarrassed to go anywhere and have people see. I hang out with friends probably once every three months because I’m so embarrassed to even walk in public. I’ve become a hermit.
I know it’s all in my head but that voice inside my head can’t stop ringing about people secretly judging me. Struggling with self love to the point I don’t want to live my life anymore. I don’t have motivation for my hobbies anymore , for school anymore (I’ve been in undergrad for 6 years now because I keep taking breaks), I’m too afraid to date (the men I have been with were all so trash and preyed on my low self esteem) ,to have fun and make friends , to start my career , etc . A friend of mine told me I just don’t see what others see and I truly don’t . When I look in the mirror, I see a failure . (In terms of weight , in terms of school , in terms of work , in terms of life)
How do I get out of this? I can’t afford therapy whatsoever . How can I find motivation to go back to the gym? Eat healthy again ? get my life together so I can be a fucking functioning person of society again? I feel my years passing by and I know I’m pretty young (24) but still . How do I find get out of this torture ?

Hey Hugo rockstars - I hope to one day be like ya'll!!! I've got a [personal website](https://techheart.life) up and am enjoying modifying my hello-4s3ti theme; but I think I'm 'breaking' things within it...
For example, some params in my config.toml aren't working anymore... you can set the prompt at the top of the page, and mine used to mirror what I put in config.toml, but it went back to stock - changes don't help...
Another thing; the 'read other articles' function - the theme displays two buttons underneath posts to read the last or next post... those disappeared.
I *did* change the config.toml settings and changed ID and LOCATION of 'posts' to 'articles'... I saw Hugo catch the change of the DIRECTORY and thought all is well - but I'm thinking I maybe didn't create layouts, or something needed...
At any rate - if someone wants to take a peek at my site thats wonderful; but I'm really asking... other than ONLY the Hugo documentation, is there any good helpers or information that I might brush up on basics and some light intermediate stuff? I want to modify my theme, but don't want to keep losing functionality - I want to ADD it. :P
I added a shortcode in my local /layouts/shortcode folder - that is cool; but I'm going to need to learn how to really program those, and other, settings in my local and themes...

I posted awhile back but got downvoted. Thats really unfortunate because it means theres too many skeptics that are preventing you from feeling better. Maybe its because you have lost hope and just accepted your fate. The pain nags at you to do something. Over and over every time it surfaces its screaming at you. It certsinly was the case for me. I tried everything i could find. Adoptogens tyrosine stretching vegetarian diet lions main. I have boxes and boxes of supplements stored away that have been largely ineffective. I went gluten free dairy free for a month. Oh btw i had ibs prostatitis chronic tension headaches that would leave me feeling like all i could do is just wait and suffer. I had lost my apitite. I couldnt even register when i was hungry. I was getting really bad. And i had slowly been deteriorating since i was in my childhood. Earthing changed all that. I immedaitely knew the potential. But i still didnt know if it was going to work. I went outside in my bare feet until my grounding mat i ordered would arrive. Felt nice outside with the smells and wind and sun and my bare feet in the grass. But i wasnt sure it was doing anything. The grounding mat came so i could isolate the variables of what was working inside and just ploped my feet on it. In the past two weeks there has been nothing short of the most dramatic difference. At first i was just feeling more unified. Like my nervous system was more one. It kinda of relaxed me. But not that much. During the course of the two weels i left my feet on it and did some light stretching. In my arms in my legs in my gut. In my eyes. And slowly dislodged a lot of that chronic pain that was stuck on there. Words really dont do justice how much better i feel. My gut feels warm and comfy now where as before it felt sick and horribble. My debilitating tension headache is gone. My arms feel better my legs feel nice. Still some tension in my hips i gotta work on. And my hamstrings. But i feel a world of difference. I hypothosize that the grounding puts your nervous system in a low alpha to theta brain wave state at 7.83 hz the frequency of the earth that is critical for normal functioning and tissue healing and stretching. Inflammation equals pain. Chronic pain is when inflammation gets stuck and does not heal. Thats because your nervous system isnt in a relaxed calm state that is ripe for healing and stretching. Look im not getting anything for making this post. Im not posting links or getting affiliate money or anything. Im just a guy who in the past two weeks have become almost completely cured from the chronic pain ive been in for decades. If you are in chronic pain and you downvote me you are making the worst decision of your life. You need to know this works!! If you turn away how much longer will you go through this nagging pain that nothing seems to help it. I really want you guys to be happy and healthy again. This is not snake oil or placebo or crystals. All it does is put your nervous system in a ripe relaxed condition to stretch and heal and release all that pain. I really pray all of you hear this and try it just going into it as an experiment to see how well it works for you. I really want you guys to get over your chronic pain. Ive had chronic pain most of my life and it was getting really bad for me so i know a very high level of how bad it can get. If this can give you your life back isnt it worth a shot. I’m posting this to Reddit before anywhere else because I believe the Reddit community has been left quiet for far too long.
I will list some points we discussed but before that I want to say thank you to everyone who has supplied feedback the last few days. Many of your points were discussed. Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand;
1 - Where current community sentiment is at.
2 - What areas we need to focus on moving forward.
3 - Which areas need to be prioritised as urgent.
Some points from the meeting;
The team
It was suggested (in a post on Reddit) that the current team doesn’t have any “experience”. We want to be clear that we have very skilled web3 personnel on the team. We also have Brew Labs if we need them. Furthermore, we have contacts, relationships and friendships with external personnel and companies, who are very well established in the sector.
We are happy with our current tech personnel but equally aware that there might be need for more tech personnel in the future. Therefore we are going to start looking at widening our tech pool. This is first and foremost because we do not want our team to feel overworked/overwhelmed/undervalued/burdened. We want our team to feel respected, trusted, valued and heard.
Marketing
We believe that Jacy needs to be seen. To do this we are instantly setting up a social network across multiple platforms. Content will be created in house and tailored to be distributed regularly via said social network. We recognise the important of posting positive content regularly. We need to focus on the platforms algorithms recognising our content. This starts today.
The vision
We are currently looking at how people perceive Jacy. Hence your input here is critical to us. We all agree that whilst Jacy the brand has some real positives there are some areas that definitely need work. We are evaluating, as a matter of urgency, which areas need to be improved upon with brand Jacy. We are on it. This is in ongoing as of today.
Trust
We are implementing new measures to ensure that trust runs throughout the project. Through the team, the brand and the holders. This is a matter of urgency. We recognise we need to work on rebuilding trust in some areas and offering more transparency in others. We are not a rug pull.
We aren’t quite ready to announce our plans, in detail, to reassure holders (current and new) but again, we are on it.
The Rabbles
The Rabbles have had a vast amount of effort put into them and are all but ready to go. However, we still want to be sure we get it right instead of rushing into it. Frustratingly the market is not quite where we would like it to be to just jump in and launch them. The upside is that that buys us time and therefore we are arranging, as a matter of urgency, internal meetings to discuss plans further. We are also considering creative ways of marketing The Rabbles. Again, this is to be discussed with the lead Rabble devs and we will keep you informed on any updated developments.
Charity
The team unanimously believe that charity (and giving) should remain core to Jacy’s values. We want to open Jacy’s charity work up to a far wider audience.
We currently have JacyGives.eth and Jacy (token) taxes which will continue to generate charitable funds. However, we are going to reassess how and where we donate to charity.
Taxes
This has been an ongoing point of discussion. We do not want to be seen as a token that’s constantly changing our tax structures.
Current discussions…
⁃ Do we stop giving to charity for a fixed period of time to build our marketing funds? ⁃ Do we set taxes at 3% (1% charity, 1% marketing, 1% dev)? ⁃ Do we set taxes at 5% (1% charity, 2% marketing, 2% dev)? ⁃ Do we set taxes at a different rate? ⁃ Do we renounce and migrate contract with/without taxes? (Most likely not but weighing up the options)
We are weighing up pros and cons to all the above.
Internal sentiment
Any kind of transition naturally causes elements of disruption. The overall feeling within the team seems to be extremely positive, excited and eager to work on the areas that we have highlighted above so that we can move on to a much bigger picture of giving and love.

Tl;dr - looking for a way to lock ONLY the apps I choose, how can I do it in under 20min and <$50
I've got a 6th Gen running 16.5, It's only used for 3 apps, one game for my daughter(connects to a toy, not on Android) and 2 for work. I'm trying to not hate apple here but there are no options to change anything without a separate paid app for each. Keyboards(default or swiftkey) are not resizable. I cannot lock access to settings, the apple store and work app without locking everything. Forget about the saved password that stopped working and apple isn't letting me change.
On windows and Android none of this is an issue except I'll need to give up an app I use alot.
Suggestions?

(i got tired of answering at some point and i think you can notice that, so sorry if my tone suddenly changes shsk, i didn’t answer in order so the ones written clearly more hastily are the ones i wrote after have got tired lol)
I tried to type myself multiple times but i always reconsider it… so i’ll try to answer the questions and drop some test results i got :) + english isn’t my native language so im sorry for eventual mistakes in my writing!!
• How old are you? What's your gender? Give us a general description of yourself.
I’m 21 and i’m a female (trying to better understand if a feel comfortable identifying myself as genderfluid/bigender), i’m neurodivergent (adhd+autism+giftedness) and that has often made difficult to type myself. I’m really energetic and i like doing stuff, in the meaning that i hate stay sitting still and i always need stimuli both it is mental or physical. Even when i am w others, i need to do things w them, not just talk about things, unless we talk about smth i really like (which are usually relate to things I’ve to explain somehow) , but still i prefer do it while doing smth like drawing or walking. ‘Bout that I can say I really like doing activities w people especially when I am in charge, meaning that I like to decide what to do and so I usually prefer the company of ppl who are more kinda followers (but I won’t, for eg, chose an activity if I know the person I’m with doesn’t like it or doesn’t wanna do it, I’d probably try to convince them somehow - I also could be manipulative sometimes- but I’d still respect their decision at the end, I could be upset by that tho, it depends on how much I wanted to do that activity and the reason behind the “no”, but I’d not show it and try to be the more comprensive I can be, it really depends on the situation and the person tho. Also if it can counts to better understand my type, I didn’t like this question lol, bc its so general “general description of yourself”, in which sense help, what is ‘general’ abt a person to you, I’d end up writing everything just in this answer (that’s why I’m gonna stop myself here btw).
• Is there a medical diagnosis that may impact your mental stability somehow? A part for being neurodivergent i struggled in my teen years with some ‘issues’ and even if i’ve never had a diagnosis (except for an ed’s one) i’m pretty sure i went through some pathological behaviour (therapists have mentioned histrionic behaviour at first and then covert narcissistic one), now i’m feeling so much better but i think that period had a big impact on my personality and behaviour causing me to be more insecure abt other opinions (which wasn’t a real worry before, not that much) and to be afraid of being a bad person or coming back to the person i was at the time.
• Describe your upbringing. Did it have any kind of religious or structured influence? How did you respond to it? I grew up basically by myself, considering that my parents have always been very neglective and distant to me and my needs, they’ve always done the minimum til i became able to do thing on my own (eg. they cooked for me til i went grown enough to do it by myself - i was 12 - and never done that again), so i’ve always been really independent and this helped me being really open-minded but also made me difficult to develope opinions/judgment, cause i haven’t had any type of influence, i started to cope this by reading and attach to fictional characters, that are still now the ones who help me grow a more coherent personality ig, if it makes sense, also by analysing their psychology as i said and understand them i’m able to explain what i think and also better understand myself and others. Basically I could say I’m very opinionated, but especially now that I fear being offensive/bad person, I tend to keep all to myself also bc I’m scared of seem incoherent since if I hear or read different perspectives abt smth which I’ve already an opinion of I can completely change my view, even if I would’ve defend that opinion w my life, which makes me feel so ashamed somehow either bc even if I hide it I hate losing arguments or being wrong in general (if this happens during an argument - I can’t help but would do anything to win it-) and bc as I said I don’t wanna ppl say /think I’m incoherent or whatever.
• What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? I work in a supermarket atm and my occupation is to supply the markets shelves with products, i really like it cause it keeps me active and also i have to organise things, which i love (much more if it’s a practical type of organisation, I like organise and categorise objects, things I can see and touch, not ideas, If I have to deal w them I need to write them down or visualise them somehow to have the same satisfaction). Tho, in september i’ll start a performative arts academy (singing, acting and dancing), performative arts are one of the things i love more in the world, i never get bored while practicing them (i HATE boredom). Here I think it’s worth to say that my favourite type of dance is ballet bc I have to keep my body in control, it’s impossible to explain how good I feel when I do that, pay attention to every part of my body and feel the sensation of control. + I think it’s also important to say that i usually learn by seeing, in general i prefer seeing videos ora images, or even better doing what i’m learning, but i noticed that if i just watch someone dance (for eg) w/out thinking to much about it or focus to much, it’s like my brain registers it and then it’s able to do it three thousand time better then if i would’ve tried to get every particular and overthink abt everything i have to do. While abt acting i feel really comfortable in fakes emotions or situations, i feel A LOT but i don’t like to talk abt my feelings in general ig ?? I tend to bottle everything up, especially negatives emotions and never show them, but when im acting it’s a total different things (maybe bc i know they’re not my own feelings yk, and even if i relate ppl don’t know i relate lol), in this way im also really good at manipulate my own brain in believe what i have to feel and how to act, i’m so good at being manipulative -either w myself and others- even if i try to not do so w ppl (some times i just cant help it tho -I understand when it’s to much and I’ll never doit if i know it can harm in any way), when i was little i used to do it more.
• If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed? I don’t mind being alone, but i surely prefer company, even if we’ve to stay in silence i prefer someone w me, i only like being alone when i need to do smth that need my completely focus (like working ,study etc -when I’m really focused none should dare interrupt me fr). But in general i really feel refreshed and full of life after have spent time w ppl I care of or have done activities in general. Spend to much time alone w/out doing nothing has me kinda depressed and i always need to start doing smth after a while.
• What kinds of activities do you prefer? Do you like, and are you good at sports? Do you enjoy any other outdoor or indoor activities? As i said i love dancing and acting, i like sports (skii and tennis especially), when i was little i used to avoid them tho cause i was afraid to not be able to play well and being made fun of, also I’m very competitive and even if i hide the frustration of losing, it’s really smth that give me nuts. I also love crosswords and sudoku, resolve maths and logical problems or puzzle (i’m really good with problem solving btw, I love solving things and I get so mad when I can’t), board games (my favourite is twister!!), reading (more when i was little, now it depends on if i get attached to the characters) and watching tv series. I also like some videogames like Super Mario’s games or The sims (i’ve always struggled in reading instructions/doing tutorials, i tend to learn while playing since forever and that’s why i avoid games that have a lot of options and instructions) but it’s not my favourite thing, and i find pleasure in drawing and writing too.
• Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be? I think leadership really is my thing, but I’ve a past, already from childhood, made of criticism and ‘have been made fun of’ (my parents first of all) so I tend to avoid it unless I’m sure I’ll be successful and nobody will tell me anything abt my leadership. My style would probably be based on efficiency and have results that are admirable in any sense they could be, idk if its make sense, my brain is melting after writing sm lol, I’d be nice and comprensive as much as I could but depending on what happens, tempistics, etc… I could be really harsh and easily lose temper (only in certain situations tho, I’m trying to say that is an effort I’ve learn to put, to be patient, so it hasn’t always come so natural to me).
• Are you coordinated? Why do you feel as if you are or are not? Do you enjoy working with your hands in some form? Describe your activity? As I said I love doing practical things, I love use my hands and I’m really good in handmade stuff. My mom always calls to do those kinda things at home for eg. I’m really coordinated, sometimes I literally get surprised of my reflexes and how much coordinate I can be.
• Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer. I love art, may favourite types of art is the one who involve moving your whole body tho, so dance and acting like I said, bc, like, I love writing and drawing too, but they’re more of a sitting still type of art, so I surely love them but I love dancing and acting more. I like less to watch art, there are lotta paintings I like but its not this big deal, while theatres’ plays for eg are more exciting to me. (Adding that art can be literally everything not only those things but nevermind).
• What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them? I don’t think a lot abt the past honestly, I’m actually a person who move on really fast (I can hold grudges in this sense but this is more abt how I feel abt certain ppl not situations). I like look at the future even if it scares me a bit, but I also love being in the present, I’m usually a person who set goal after goal but especially lately I’m enjoying more being in the present, I mean if I’ve to do a ranking it’d be: present, future, past asjsja.
• How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so? I’m really prone to help others even if sometimes it stress me out and I’ll prefer doing something else, but I do it anyway and I usually that person who try to find solutions that will work and have a result or at least touch a point. But I’m also really goos at empathise, I usually read ppl really well, so I come out as really understanding and in touch w others feelings, adding that I literally neve judge, unless i’m stressed and feel the need to take on someone (I feel guilty when it happens yes but I really can’t help it), ppl often say they feel safe came to me for help or even just vent (I recently learn that some ppl don’t wanna solutions but just need to be listened, so sometimes I just say “is there anything I can do to help you” “I’m sorry you feel this way” and stuff cause apparently otherwise it’s called toxic positivity (?? I daydream but not that much at the end, I’m surely aware of my surroundings while doing so, I think I use daydream as a way to get motivated but I’m not so lost in my head when it happens.
• How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it? It depends, there was a period during my teen years where I used to make a lot of impulsive decisions, now I try to think more before acting, but I still think I’m more prone to follow my gut. It’s an hard question to answer to cause its a thing that has changed often during my life. I usually can regret a decision but at the end I rarely change my mind while pondering the situation.
• Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why? Yes, almost always, the scenarios are two, or I need the conversation to end so I agree w everything just to close it asap, or it’s just me and my fear of hurt the person I’m talking to, as I mentioned when I was I child I didn’t have this problem and I used to speak my mind during conversation, but now its a hole new story, I only say what I think if we’re really close, the more close the more I speak my truth, indeed I’m the most direct person ever whit my parents and brother.
• Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why? I don’t break rules rules, but when we talk about social norms or way to do things at work etc… I usually find my own way to do them, even when my boss or more high level colleagues tell me tips, or explain how they’ve always done a particular tasks, I find more efficient ways so I can low-key also demonstrate I was right and able to do thing on my own. I don’t directly challenge authorities buy I often find myself thinking they could do better.

How long will it take for me to be 6’1 and 180lbs 10% bf, because that seems ideal for me as a natty. I really just want to have big shoulders, very well developed chest, and visible abs.

Mobo died in my Alma 8 box, so I installed Alma 9 on a different PC and I guess I just overwrote whatever was on the SSD drive during the install.
I'm sure it was a Windows 10 OS previously on the drive, and the hostname was, say, Host12345.
Now I notice that the filesystem mounted on / is /dev/mappealmalinux_Host12345-root, and /dev/mappealmalinux_Host12345-home is mounted on /home.
Why/how did it do this, and can I change it?
[Disclaimer: I started on UNIX v6 in the early 1980's, but you whippersnappers keep adding more stuff to all these different linux OSes all the time. (And get off my lawn!)]

2023.06.11 00:08 brewerooinbayern Aufenthaltstitel waiting since October

As per the title, my visa expired late December my daughter's visa was tied to mine so hers is expired too. We received a call confirming our application details end of October but nothing since, it's been 8 months!
I sent 3 requests for status update via their online form, never a response. Now we moved apartments, I'm worried my application won't go through due to change of address. Cherry on top my wife's visa will expire in 2 weeks and she applied in January. We have a new born and God knows when she will have her visa ready.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve our situation I'll be glad to hear it. Sorry for the rant.

Intro

I'm GM Blue, an NA Challenger / GM player in Set 8 and 8.5. I aim to reach Rank 1 in Set 9, so I am writing this guide as much for me as it is for others.

Comp Overview (TL;DR)

There are two versions for Gunners: Piltover and Non-Piltover. Generally speaking, you should play the Piltover variation if you hit Piltover early and are able to have a 30+ power T-Hex by some point in Stage 4 / ideally 40+ by end of the game. That said, different people will have different opinions on exactly how strong the T-Hex should be before you consider dropping out of Piltover. If your T-Hex is strong, you'll keep Piltover the entire game.
The Piltover variation has a limited champion pool to select from, but there are many different combinations on how to fit them on your board (particularly if you are trying to fit Heimerdinger). The non-Piltover version is easier to play as you have more flexible spots to fit whatever you hit.

Early Game Units

In the early game, you should focus on picking up mainly Piltovers, Bruisers, and Gunners. Bruisers are important as they pair with Vi and you'll often end up playing 4 Bruiser in the early game as your frontline of choice.

Notes about Heimerdinger and +1 spat's

Heimerdinger is generally difficult to add on 8 for a few reasons. One is that he is an expensive unit (23g at 1-star if you want to fully upgrade his turret) and thus can eat away at your gold for upgrading Zeri and frontline units. Secondly, you have to make major sacrifices to slot him on your board. If you drop Jayce, you lose 4 Gunner. If you drop Ekko, you lose 4 Zaun. If you drop Vi, your frontline and backline become unbalanced. There ARE variations that play him, but there are many games where choosing not to play him is correct.
If you get a +1 Gunner or +1 Zaun spat, it becomes a lot easier to play Heimer on 8 as you no longer have to make those big tradeoffs of losing 4 Gunner or 4 Zaun.

Examples to Help Understand Piltover Comp

Non-Piltover version

Same idea as the Piltover version except now you have more flexible slots as you no longer need to play 3 Piltover. That means you can drop Vi for a better unit or drop out of 4 Zaun to play higher quality units. Often you'll play Freljord in the non-Piltover version, but not always. I generally think 4 Gunner with Senna is better than 4 Zaun if you have to choose one, but you can also play both in the non-Piltover version.

Itemization

As usual, I don't like to provide too many thoughts on items as it will get solved once stats are out. That said, I have found QSS and RFC as both strong / underutilized options on Zeri. QSS is excellent if you are Zeke's stacking Jayce as Jarvan / Sion often target the Jayce corner clump. RFC is excellent as it is a front loaded Rageblade that provides higher uptime. Since you are Zeke's stacking most of the time, you get a lot of AS from Jayce and don't necessarily need the full scaling of Rageblade so I generally think RFC is competitive.

Final Thoughts

This is by far the hardest comp guide I have written thus far as there are a LOT of ways to play the Piltover version. It took a lot of VoD review to see as many of these different variants in action. As of right now, 6 Zaun is very strong and it's usually worth playing even if you only have 1 spat, but that might change in the future where it only becomes lucrative with 2 spats.
I generally find the Piltover version stronger than the non-Piltover version, but you want a 40+ charge T-Hex by the end game or it isn't worth having to play Vi if you have better units to play. I'd love to hear other people's experiences for this comp as it is one of comps that has made me dizziest thus far. Also, I did not provide much insight on Zaun mods but I generally think the explosion one and Robotic arm are quite good - especially if you can Overcharge the explosion one on a Bruiser like Sion.

2023.06.11 00:08 Wunder_boi I’m trying to walk on to a D2 college team, questions within.

Thanks in advance.
I expect eyes to roll but I’m 6’4, 180lb, pretty shredded between rock climbing, backcountry skiing, trail running, basketball, etc. I spend 25-30hr a week at a traditional gym and a climbing gym working on all aspects of fitness including flexibility. I play full court basketball ~4 days a week. I got paid (min wage) to help a Bahamas national team player train for a year or so in 2020. I consider myself an all-around player but my main strengths are shooting/slashing/driving. I didn’t have a league to play in where I grew up and I didn’t try out until my senior year where I easily made the team. I ran circles around everyone else on the team but the coach had his ~6 man rotation picked out 2 years in advance and was very old-fashioned so I was shoehorned into playing Center due to my height which isn’t really my position so I saw the court in-game once the entire season.
I’ve got a decent “soft” basketball IQ in the sense of quick decision making from full court pickup. I play with a few D3 players but I get the vibe that they rode the bench all the time. I’m often the only guy on the court setting screens.
My main concern is my “hard” basketball IQ is lacking severely. Stuff like reading plays, lacking on some of the high level terminology, stuff like that.
Can someone please suggest a good source for developing my basketball IQ? I’m looking for something heavy. Something along the lines of a textbook would be great but I’m not sure that exists and the game is always changing so I’m not sure how relevant a textbook would even be. I need to figure out a way where I can study the game on a deep level. I don’t know where to start besides googling and I have no way to vet that information for accuracy or relevancy to today’s game.
Also, have you guys ever heard of someone in my situation walking onto a D2 team with no high school stats to speak of? I’m sure it’s extremely rare but I don’t know anybody else who isn’t a spoken-for (on a team) athlete that exercises as much as I do or has an all-around routine like I do. I need to focus a lot more on my game and I haven’t even reached out to the coach yet but I’d imagine the coach would want a 6’4 athlete to help his go-to guys get some work in.

2023.06.11 00:08 Jacket_Tricky Cat is vomiting and has diarrhoea

Hello!
For about 3 days now my 1yo cat has been vomiting once a day and has had diarrhoea as well. The vomit is only small, and always has undigested dry food, like 3-4 pellets. He is otherwise acting fine; grooming himself, playful, still interested in food, etc. I'm pretty confident it isn't the dry food isn't causing him to vomit- both of my cats have been eating it for ages with no problems.
I did change their wet food the night before the vomiting occurred and have since stopped feeding it to see if that helps but I'm unsure of how long it could take before his stomach settles (if that is the problem).
My cats are both strictly indoor cats, and the other one is absolutely fine. There is a long weekend right now, so if I were to take him in, in the next day or two it would have to be emergency. How urgent is this? Does he need to be taken to the vet or just monitored?

2023.06.11 00:07 Outrageous_Emotion30 A specific friend and I cannot see each other's stories

This only happens between us and we can still see other people's stories. Our stories just do not appear in each other's feed nor can we see it in each other's pages. I can see her story if it was added to other friends' stories but not directly from her page. There are no notifications even when we tagged each other. We have checked that we do not have each other blocked, muted, hidden, or restricted. She was still able to see my stories a week ago and I never changed any settings between now and then. Does anyone know how to fix this?
