I saw him walking home from school with his friends whilst i was driving, so i parked down the street where i thought he would walk and he walked RIGHT PAST MY CAR.
I haven’t seen him in almost 2 years after i left my toxic and abusive home. He was still young and didn’t have a phone but he’s in his early 10’s now. Mother dearest tried her hardest to not allow me contact with him after going NC with her, she did the same when one of my older sisters also left. My brothers are so far up my mom’s ass and wouldn’t let us have his phone number when he got a phone so I haven’t seen or spoken to him since. I miss him so much and HE WAS RIGHT THERE!
He was so much taller but still had his cute little baby face. I was going to roll my window down and say hi but so many things were going through my mind. My fear of rejection kicked in but also my fear of him being told off for speaking to me. My brain felt like it was going 100mph in the small amount of time it took for him to walk past me. My hand was right on my horn to honk at him. My mom and brothers used to say awful things about my sister when she left in front of him and he picked up on it and completely ignored her when he saw her. I know for a fact she’s done the same to me and I don’t want to put him in that uncomfortable situation but I do desperately want to just talk to him and see how he is!
We had such a good relationship, I made sure to spend time with him as he’s significantly younger than the rest of us, I taught him how to ride a bike and rode with him each summer. I didn’t leave home earlier because I didn’t want to leave him but my moms abuse only stretched to us girls. I miss him so much I wish I said something

First time poster, long time lurker.
I have been thinking about posting for a long time, but I never knew what to share. Trust me, there is enough shit had happened in my 27 years that could be a potential post here (or in other subreddits).
My dad is a narcissistic alcoholist (I guess many of you know this type of animal), so my childhood was about lies, manipulation and other delicious stuff that could and would cause trauma. Later on he decided to make our lifes more spicier, so he started to drink. More and more, until lost track of time, lost jobs, and more importantly, his sanity.
I’m from an East-European country, alcoholism was part of my family since I can remember, both on my parents sides. So, I’m totally aware there is no perfect family. My mom was the enabling parent for many years. She tried her best to show the world she could change my dad with love and support. Maybe, for a time, she was able to, but as we all may know, the lovebombing periode ends sooner or later.
My dad tried to show the world that he could do anything what he decided to do. His goals were always get bigger and bigger things, nothing was ever enough (this has caused a lot of trauma for me too, even tho I’m the first one in our family having an university degree at all, and even in a science field, I do not feel that it was ever enough). Then 2008 came, and his spending habits were not a match for our family’s income. As many dads in that time, he decided to go to West Europe to get a job, and provide for his family left behind. However, this gave a big opportunity to my mom to heal and get her life together. Ofc, this was one of the biggest nightmare of a narcissist, therefore he convinced my mom (whom just lost her job thanks to downsizing) to move to the country with us where he was currently working.
He had no idea how to do it, but somehow he managed it. Unknown to my mother (or she was not willing to see and admit it) he has been already struggling with his addiction. The following 9,5 years were a really expensive and sometime life threatening rollercoaster ride. Thanks to my dads impulsive actions, addictions and unwilling to see how the world works.
One of his favourite hobby was to not pay bills. Not because he couldn’t afford it (there were times too, when he didn’t applied for social security because why should he when he lost his job), but because he didn’t want to pay those bills. Debts on debts, DUIs. My favourite day was Sunday for a very long time because no post, and noone who would call/be at the door to share new debts with me. Of course I was always the one had to get those news, and also try to solve them. Alone, from the age of 16. There has been 2 almost evictions in our lives in less than 2 years. Thanks to my ability to work my ass off I could always save some money, and pay things, otherwise… I don’t want to know what would happen to us.
I was working my ass off, so I could pay my tuituion fee’s for university, healt care, actually, everything. I even paid bills at home, and did bigger groceries when my parents had less money. I was always the one who was ‘asked’ (more like demanded) to solve all the problems my dad has been causing. He loved to cause troubles and hide them, until the consequences were so big, it was impossible to hide them anymore.
I honestly thought I would end up living with them until they die, because I was always afraid my mom would en up on the street with my lil sister. In despair, loneliness and in so, so much anger.
While my dad was expecting my help, I was always the scapegoat in his eyes. Not being able to pay something? Well, it’s because he is providing for ME. Paying MY university and all my needs. He did not pay my studies since I’m 14. Not even a book. But in his imaginary world, oh, he was the perfect husband and dad, and I was the little brat who dared to tell him his late night trips to the pub and all his alcohol consumption costs us more than €100 per week. And my mom? She told me to shut my mouth, because then there will be less conflict in the house, and she didn’t need a reminder how my father was and what he was doing (and causing problems again).
You might thing why the hell I share these things. I wanted to give you an idea (even tho you probably have an idea already, otherwise you would be not on this subreddit) what were the dynamics in our family before the big change.
There was a time when I thought I lost my mom too. However, she got her courage, realized if this is going to continue, she would en up on the street with my dad, and without her daughters. We were ready to leave everything behind, to start a new life somewhere with the three of us. However, on the 24th of December in 2021, my dad was so aggressive and drunk, we had to call the police. Again. (He hit me many times, caused concussions, broke few of my toes, etc). However, this time, they took him away, and he couldn’t come back. My mother’s first thing to do was after Christmas to contact a divorce lawyer, and start the process. The following year was hard, I’m not gonna lie. My dad was harassing and stalking my mom, sometimes even my little sister. I just got a few hateful e-mails how ‘my evil plan’ had worked. However, we all maintaneid NC with him.
Financially, emotionally and mentally we are doing so, so, so much better since then. My mom had realized she could provide for herself, and she will be even able to save some money without my dad here. My future plan, to survive in this toxic environment, had been changed. I got my bachelor, got a job, and I have the most supporting and loveliest boyfriend ever, which is a big thing, because a never wanted to end up like mom. In a toxic relationship without respect and love. Also, my father’s systematic downstalk didn’t help either where he would gladly tell me how horrible person I am, and noone ever could love me.
I was able to change my attitude from ‘these are just dreams’ to ‘these are my goals’. I have less and less nightmares. Therapy, books and podcats about the things I have been through are also helping a lot. I’m looking forward to the next year, which is such a strange thing to feel without fear. I would never imagine that life can be so peaceful.

Hello everyone. I am not sure if this is allowed but if it is, please no judgements.
If possible, would anyone be open to opening their home for my husband and I to stay for just 1 night? We moved here from NC for jobs and so much stuff has happened money wise..all in all we are out of money and we slept in the airport last night to avoid the streets. What is a stormwater drainage system?

Rainfall results in the formation of stormwater. Stormwater that is not absorbed by the ground due to impermeable pavement or hard surface, spills over to the road or hard surface, is collected by the underground drainage system, called stormwater drainage system.

What is the purpose of the stormwater drainage system?

The purpose of civil drainage is to collect rainfall runoff from all across the city and discharge it slowly to the downstream river or natural water catchments. Stormwater drainage systems frequently collaborate with the environment, channelling, attenuating, and discharging stormwater through natural features such as lakes, ditches, ponds, swales, streams, etc.

Where does storm drain water go?

Difference between stormwater and wastewater

Stormwater is water that drains into a street drainage system from rain and other sources and discharges to the downstream river or pond or creeks. Flooding and bank erosion are prevented by stormwater drainage systems.
Water from households and businesses is the main source of wastewater. Before wastewater is discharged to the nearby streams or creeks, it is very important to treat them.

Stormwater Management

Stormwater management is the attempt to limit rainwater or melted snow runoff into streets, open ground, and other locations while also improving water quality. Stormwater is filtered when it is trickled down to the existing ground soil and eventually fills the aquifers or runs into nearby streams and rivers.
When heavy rains fall, however, the saturated earth produces surplus moisture that seeps across the ground and then to the storm drains and finally to the downstream ditches. It caters to debris, eroded soil mass, bacteria, chemical substances, and other forms of pollutants and is therefore treated (by the downstream defender) before discharging to the stream or river just before the outfall point.

How does storm-water management help?

In urban settings, impervious surfaces like road pavement, footways, rooftops obstruct the rainwater from naturally soaking into the existing ground. Instead, the stormwater rushes into the storm drain system, through gully & pipe network, drainage ditches, etc, and its causes flooding, contamination, turbidity (or muddiness), sometimes overflowing storm and sanitary sewer systems, and finally damages the infrastructure and properties.
Stormwater management and green infrastructure, on the other hand, aim to collect and reuse stormwater in order to preserve or reinstate natural hydrologists. Stormwater management is primarily concerned with retaining stormwater and eliminating pollutants.
Stormwater management includes porous surfaces that allow rain to trickle down into the ground soil. It also manages grey infrastructures such as culverts, orifices, storm sewers, and traditional piped drainage networks, and aims to restore or mimic the natural water cycle.

Integrated Water Management

Integrated water management (IWM) of stormwater helps to minimize or eliminate various potential issues such as the health of rivers or waterways and challenges of the water supply system due to the rapid urban agglomeration. IWM is commonly associated with green infrastructure management and prefers to be involved during the early stages of the design process.
It helps to identify and mitigate major roadblocks at the early stage of design and a well-integrated infrastructure can be developed. Infrastructure development and urban growth result in increased demands for robust surface water drainage systems.
Although climate change and reduction in the green field are two very important factors to consider while designing the proposed drainage system. It is recommended to consider a 20% uplift in surface water quantity due to the climate change factor and maintain the greenfield runoff rate at the outfall location.
That means provision of an attenuation system, stormwater harvesting (to decrease the amount of water that can cause a potential for flooding), infiltration (to reestablish natural groundwater recharge), bio-retention or biofiltration (e.g., rain gardens) to accumulate and treat runoff and discharge it at a controlled rate (by flow control devices) to lessen the impact on the down streams, and wetland treatment solutions are some non-exhaustive solutions to be explored by the designers.
The most common solution is to provide land-based treatment such as attenuation ponds, infiltration trenches, bioswales, permeable paving, etc to reduce stormwater runoff. Engineered, manufactured items can also be used to accomplish comparable, or possibly better, effects than land-based systems.
The ideal LID solution balances the anticipated outcomes (runoff and contamination management) with the associated costs. IWM, is still in its early days, bringing together components of drainage, hydrology, ecology, and the recognition that old-style drainage solutions only push issues downstream, putting the environment and natural water supplies at risk.

I have screen shots of her personal IG showing that they were not in-fact in dire straights and hurting for money between Sept and Dec. She took her family to Disney World, stayed in a pretty sweet hotel, dined at some not so cheap restaurants. As far her and her husband's sciatica and migraines, posting pics of 140 mile motorcycle cruises, going to motorcycle gatherings (think Street Vibrations), partying it up.

She has registered as an LLC as of 12/16/2022. This means Rebel Yarn Co legally exists as a separate entity from Lindsey and Ryan(husband). Therefore, they cannot typically be held personally responsible for RYC debts and liabilities. However, in cases where an individual owner doesn't personally guarantee the LLC's debts, they can still be sued personally, and the court may find them liable. In general, courts err on the side of upholding LLC protections and only "pierce the corporate veil" where there's wrongful or fraudulent conduct. Which I think they will see them changing to an LLC trying to avoid the fraudulent sales and refunds. I am doing some research, but I believe Lindsey and Ryan are held responsible for all of the debts of Rebel Yarn Co from before 12/16/22 because at that time they were not an LLC.
Report her to the IRS and they will open an investigation into her tax payments.

I left a message for Instagram customer service at (650) 543-4800 with a brief synopsis of what is happening and that people do not expect IG to help get their money back but only to shut down her accounts because of what she has done. I urge you to also call and leave a message as the "help" on the app/website doesn't do much in the way of helping. It is a long listen on the phone but, please leave a message.

Summer of 2018. No covid. No restrictions etc. We decided to host a bbq for our friends and decided to do it on a Saturday. My DH invited his friends, I invited my bestie, her family ( kids included ) and a couple of other friends. My husband knew my bestie had a young child ( girl aged 2 with severe epilepsy, and numerous other issues ) so we set up the travel cot, brought down our baby monitors and had a kid friendly area in the shade for them. Hired a bouncy castle, set up a sweet station etc.
So basically we were all having a good time, having a drink, and entertaining our friends when mil rocked up and my husband went to the gate and told her she couldn't come in as we had company.
She had previously embarrassed him in front of his friends by appearing up one night I was doing a night shift, screaming at him how he's a fat waste of space, his friends don't like him they only pity him, he's simple, he's stupid, he is ugly etc etc
Anyway she came to our gate and demanded food. My husband told her no. She got on like an imbecile. She turned on the tears, shouting he doesn't love her, screaming at the top of her voice that my husbands friends only came because I was there and they are all having sex with me behind his back. So his best friend went to the gate, said something super quiet and she shut up. Next thing she tried to come in, and our gate is coded so we changed the code and she couldn't get in. She screamed again how we are a waste of space and then she said she was ringing her daughter to come down and "sort me out"
I told her don't bother ringing her and she's coming down anyway to bring my nephew down to play on the bouncy castle. She started screaming again about how her entire family have turned on her( my fault ) how noone talks to her ( my fault ) and how her eldest son came out as gay and she blames that on us. I simply explained he told us years ago he was gay, we met his fiancé, went to lunch, had them at our house etc and if it bothers you he is finally happy then check yourself.
She told my husband that I'm cheating on him with his best friend as she saw us in the car at mcdonalds one night. My husband calmly explained to her that he had picked me up from work as my husband was working late, he took me to mcdonalds to get some food, dropped me home and told me to text him when my hubby get home and that he would call up to give him some game as he left it in his house. She then said I was clearly just with my husband until someone better came along. I walked over and told her my husband is my dream guy. He has never lifted a hand, doesn't shout, supports me through my tough times, gets on amazingly with my family etc.
SHE THEN TOLD ME MY HUSBAND IS HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH MY MOTHER. I simply said well my mum is a good looking woman for 54 so fair fucks to him. This angered her even more as she said then turned it around and said I am nothing but a slut who shows my body to anyone who asks( this wad because I was standing in a bikini top, and shorts and my slippers( my house, I'm gonna be comfy ) and that is why my husband chose me as he knew I was easy. Considering I didn't sleep with my husband until 4 months into the relationship due to abuse from a previous relationship
This went on for about 2 hours in which time she was upsetting my friends kids. She left when my SIL came down and chased her away. Next day we had the rspca at our door due to abuse, starving him, restricting his water intake, and a million other things. The rspca came out, checked our dog, checked our garden etc. Said they didn't believe he was abused etc.
We do not see her at all now and she hates it. She lives in the street across from us. She rung my husbands work stating he was a drug user ( which my husbands boss asked him to do a drug test came back obviously clear ) contacted my employer saying I care for my FIL and I leave him in the house every single day, I hit him, I abuse him, I don't look after him etc. However I go over every day, tidy his house, make him a big batch of dinners and he simply defrost what he needs, lay out his tablets.
And MILs friends still ask why we are Nc
