In my life every little thing was perfect or nearly perfect when I was little. My parents used to shout at each other but somehow it never ended badly. They always would find a middle road but just do that while shouting. I was a happy child. My grades were good without I even open books nor doing homeworks. With SAT like exam I've got into the very best high school without even noticing the work load of the exam. Then I kept act like that without noticing how much others put effort into their studies, home life, emotional growth etc. I've got through another SAT like exam to became an university student. This time I've got shaken up yet me still being an idiot, didnt understand that my actions caused my misery. Ive finished my education, even I loved my profession my GPA was/is very average. Not we come to the title. I've discovered that motivation wasnt my problem, but lack of discipline is. I've got into masters I wanted but only after failing two different examination, finished my classes as top of my class this time but that was due to my professors well thinking. I've received internship overseas but couldnt find an office to accept me during covid era. What I really wanted was getting masters from foreign country but my 4 different application rejected and they all costs money I dont really have. I am now working at an office for two months but they are not paying me and acting like they are doing favor as I am now lack of professional experience due to spending my time on masters -btw which I didnt finish as I didnt write thesis only finishing classes so I cant add M.A. or M.S.- anyway tomorrow I will talk with my bosses as my trial time is finished. They will decide if they wanted to employ me for the minimum wage or they decide to 'employ' interns for free. This was the possible bad news. And today I've received a message from the last university that I had applied, they are asking proof of employment which wasnt listed on the application list. I will give contact of my old boss that I worked for time to time during the last 3 years but I doubt that the university will accept it. So. I feel fucked and spent my time on nothing significant. Idk what to do. I hate self pitiying and if this sounded like that Im sorry. I just looking some way out of this chaotic feeling and finally be able to relax. I miss the "everything is okay" feeling I used to had

My husband found a kitten in the middle of a busy road on Monday . Brought him home and we put it in our garage. My guess it’s over 6 weeks old and will eat food. It will not let anyone near him/her it’s a fierce little bugger! He hides in our garage and will eat the food i put out but if I go out there he runs and hides. My wife and I are looking to move home. We took out an unsecured loan each to fully renovate our current place and there is £27k left to pay.

Hello, I just had the worst string of luck and one of the worst experiences in the world of URW so allow me to rant my frustrations a bit.
My story begins with me taking all my valuables and setting off to Kaumo to seek if I can find a master blacksmith who could forge me one of the most elusive weapons in the game: masterwork Kaumo spear!
For those who might not have noticed it before, this particular weapon has been one of the rarest things you can find along with mastercraft ango. I thought perhaps the new blacksmith update might change this. Well no such luck, not in my world at least. It seems there was no blacksmith skilled enough to craft mastercraft Kaumo items in my world, or I just failed to find the village he was hiding in.
After the disappointment I set course to return home. Running out of smoked meat it was about time to call it for the summer anyway. Nearly back home I get caught outside in a moonless midnight so dark that vision is 0 tiles. I panic, thinking no way this is the moment I get a serious encounter... And as luck would have it: robbers!
I tell you, I dislike robbers even in the most optimal of cases. Something about them just rubs me the wrong way, they always get a full surround encounter and their loot is rarely worth anything, but you always risk losing everything but your life. High risk, low gain. And either their stats are exceptionally high or I just have bad luck. So really not a fan!
Well I'm armed with fine broadsword and mastercraft round shield. I'm only decently skilled with both around 50% skill. I know I will be outnumbered and the visibility is 0 tiles. Things seem dire even before the battle starts. They carry torches so they shine in the forest while I can't see the tile before me. I start backing blindly away until I hit a wall of trees to guard my back. I wait one turn and the bandits initiate the robbery, and I challenge them to fight.
I get the first turn, my broadsword slashes a solid hit to abdomen, the bandit starts to bleed. I think to myself this might just work out. Well, joke's on me as I end up facing the most embarrassing and frustrating defeat I have ever had.
He hits me with a regular spear, I choose to block which fails and he scores a solid hit, which only does a minor puncture to my abdomen, 6% injury. I know penalties stack and any wound makes further wounds that much easier, so first hit landing is still terrible news against a group of enemies. My next swing really needs to hit now before more of them run up to me. Fate had other plans, my slash gets counterstruck with another minor puncture to abdomen. 7% injury this time. Worst of all my character decides this is too much for him and passes out with total 13% injury!
So this is how my decently rolled character lost all his gear and quit living in frustration, as the bandits didn't even do him the courtesy of ending his life. If I have to gather new wealth anyway I might as well start over hopefully with somebody who doesn't pass out on two minor wounds!

I’m 27F, currently taking levothyroxine and phentermine for hypothyroidism and help aid is losing weight. Since Sunday or Monday I’ve also been taking Sudafed, Tylenol for flu, and Allegra since I’ve been experiencing what I thought was bad allergies since coming home from being overseas for the 6 months. My husband and I share a home with my SIL (husband's sister) and SILs husband. We have all lived together for around 3 years and generally speaking, it's actually not bad at all. My SIL is an overnight dispatcher and my husband works construction. I'm currently placed on early leave due to pregnancy complications (31 weeks) and my BIL has been out of work for months. Money has never been an issue. The home is owned outright and grandfathered in to a cheap land tax bracket so honestly, off one income alone, all bills are covered and then some. Just to paint the perspective of how money is currently not an issue and never has been.
The issue is that my BIL has started offering to watch our neices emotional support pet (not registered- just bought the vest online) while she is at school/work. The dog gets dropped off here at 5am and is picked up around 8pm. It's a small dog with severe separation anxiety and can be quite annoying. She whines if you walk out of her sight. Insists on being held the entire time she's here. She is hardly house broken. Insists on sticking her tongue down your throat or in your ears nonstop, as she never stops licking. And for the past week, my BIL has been bringing the dog in to whatever room I'm in and saying "Who's that? Go get her." And then walking out of the room, leaving me with this dog that I never agreed to watch and quite frankly, I'm getting touched out by. I'm starting to become pissed even having the dog in the same room as me due to the behaviors and I've voiced several times I don't want the dog near me. The dog always ends up back with me and people here are starting to wonder why my attitude has spiraled to a point of me snapping at everyone.
Well, we had a BBQ here yesterday and the whole family shows up. At some point our niece was talking to her dog saying "Uncle David's treating you good, right? Does the baby get spoiled." When I returned, he told me to keep the car, as I’d need it for business. I asked him, later, what he was going to do with the car ultimately. He said he’d keep it for a few years and then probably give it to me. (The car is over 20 years old, has 150,000 k. It runs pretty well, but it does need work).
At one point he suggested that I should “draw a salary” from the business. He suggested $3,000 / month. I live quite lean, and, as of last years’ personal taxes, I took a total of $17,000 from the business account when necessary. I hold a part time job to offset needing to do so.
Two times during this two year period, my partner was away - once in Cabo and once in Bahamas. He invited me to come with him but both times I had to cancel due to Covid -imposed restrictions.
Late 2021, I experience an issue with my machine, and because of backlogs of materials, I did not receive a replacement part for 7 weeks, during which time my sister died of cancer.
In summer of 2022, he abruptly took his car back for his daughter to give his son driving lessons (?). That was 3 weeks, and I had to cancel social arrangements out of the city (visiting a cottage, summer camp reunion).
In late 2023, more machine issues, and because it is a highly specialized machine, there was a lot of work in finding someone who could properly assess and repair.
In January of 2023, I booked a booth at a trade show as a launch. It was a good start; made some professional connections. No sales. He said he was going to attend, but never did and only told me so when I texted to ask where he was.
In April of 2023, he took the car back again for his newly-licensed 17 year old child to use. Said it would be 3 weeks. It’s been 7 weeks, during which time I have had to pick up supplies, deliver an order, and get other business-related things accomplished. I did these things via transit and Lyft.
In late May, I held an open house at my office for industry people. It was my partner’s suggestion. I orchestrated the whole thing, and invited nearly 200 people. He said he was coming, but by then the second day, with two hours left, I again messaged him to see where he was, whereupon he informed me that he wasn’t coming because he was out of town dealing with a personal emergency. No details on that.
I was supposed to get the car back the next day to make a delivery. When asked about it, he said he’d give it back to me when he returned. No details about that.
I asked “when will that be?” He replied “Sunday”.
Sunday came and went and on Monday I messaged him. He didn’t reply until Tuesday with: Hi l am thinking , the car needs a ton of work, and depending on the amount, may not be worth it. WRT to the business, l am pretty unclear it will work, l can meet with you this weekend to discuss. I am in a very dark and sad place , nothing to do with you, but you should know.”
I wrote “That’s a pretty abrupt declaration. I know the car needs work. I have been making all kinds of arrangements regarding [the business] including hiring a social media pro and we have mapped out a schedule for promotional videos and information to be imparted. If you are without hope for it, well, then you let me know. Whatever you’re going to do to with the car, that’s fine. I’d love to be able to use it until then.”
Not wanting to wait until the weekend, I called instead in the evening, but he was unable to talk. I’m calling again tonight (Thursday).
He has many investments on the go (says he) that are in the millions, that have been in the works for years.
