2023.06.08 20:35 mistresscore His accusations are turning me into a liar
I feel like I’m going crazy. He’s constantly accusing me of the most bizarre outlandish crap, and in turn I start lying to avoid more accusations. If that makes any sense.
For example, he’s always accusing me of hacking into his phone. I know it sounds crazy, and it is. Anything I do regarding technology (i.e. changing the wifi password to something shorter and less complicated) he thinks has to do with me hacking his phone.
Recently he was sick and sleeping all day, and we had no food in the house so I used his food stamp card to go to the store. Once I got to the store and rang everything up, I realized he changed the pin recently and I didn’t know the new one. I tried calling him but his phone was dead. So I called customer service and changed the pin back to the old one. I didn’t tell him this because I was afraid he’d think I was doing something sketchy.
Yesterday he started flipping out about his pin being changed and asked me if I did it and I said no. He called customer service and found out it was changed the day I went to the store. So that just made me look bad and gave him more reasons to accuse me of hiding something.
Another example. I recently received a notice in the mail regarding a fraudulent unemployment claim in my name. He had the same issue awhile back. He thinks the claims are connected somehow, and thinks his ex stole our identities. I told him I would call the unemployment office while I was at work, but I didn’t because I didn’t want to tell him about it later and have him accuse me of lying about what was said on the call.
He asked me if I called and I said yes. He asked to see the call log and then I admitted I didn’t call. He then accused me of faking the document and typing it up myself. And he thinks that’s tied into his phone and it’s all connected somehow. So I looked bad again.
These accusations are causing me to lie about completely innocent things and I feel like I’m actually losing my mind. I can’t wait until my lease is up and I can get away.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

2023.06.08 20:18 NickPlayzOnGTA Is a QR code needed?
I currently have a Samsung Z Flip 4 and iPhone 14 Pro. My mother has an iPhone 11 Pro Max (all three devices are on the same plan/account) and I was wondering how I would transfer the eSim from the 14 Pro to my Flip 4 to give my mother the 14 Pro. I've heard you can simply do it from the app, or that I would need to contact support for a QR code. If possible via the app, how would one do so? And if needed via a QR code, how long would it take to get one from AT&T? Also, when going to transfer my mother's data from her 11PM to the 14P, her current sim would automatically be converted to an eSim, correct? Thank you for reading & your help!

2023.06.08 20:18 szuro Nokia 2660 vs 2780
Looking at specs of both 2660 and 2780, the latter looks much more impressive. However, does it make any difference in everyday use?
I want to buy a Nokia flip phone, and noticed that the my local market has only the 2660 model available. And I'm wondering whether I should import the 2780 or just stick with what's available?
I'd rather not buy a second-hand phone, due to personal reasons.
Any opinions on this matter?
Go with 2660 or import 2780?

2023.06.08 20:07 yossarian19 How to force headphone mode on / off without ads & BS?
Hey folks, I just went to a Cat S22 flip phone running Android Go or whatever. When I have the phone plugged into my amp via the usb-c to 3.5mm dongle, it works just fine - until I get a call and unplug it. From that point on, it thinks it's unplugged when I plug it in and vis versa. It'll work as intended for about 1 second and then get it wrong. Is there an app where I can force this thing into headphone / speaker output without dicking around with ads and in-app BS? I wouldn't mind paying $10 or $20 or whatever - I just want my phone to work and I don't want to find & tap the tiny "x" five times to change modes.

In the private sector, I needed to have a smartphone to respond to emails 24/7. I have always missed my carefree days when I had a flip-phone (a Motorola Razr to be exact). I'm sure there is an element of nostalgia here because I had less distractions and responsibilities.
In the foreign service, do I also need to have a smartphone to do my job? I think I would switch back to a flip-phone or a dumb-phone if I could.

2023.06.08 17:20 ebbytempura Sim card not detected
Hello,
I've got an android phone (Asus Zenfone 5) that recently fails to detect the sim card in the slot even if it's in there.
I've determined that it isn't a faulty sim card. It does this with any sim card. Ive tried cleaning the sim card slot with compressed air but this did not solve it. I've tried resetting the sim card in the slot but this doesn't work either. I've also tried reconfiguring the APN settings to the network's default settings but nothing. So I presume it is an issue with the hardware
When I switch the phone to airplane mode the phone is stable. But when it is connected to the network it doesn't detect the sim card and unpredictably flips between 'no detected' and 'detected'. It doesn't matter if I'm sitting in one place or if I'm moving between cell sites, it will happen.
I've bought a new phone but I'm still interested to repair the problem. Does anyone have an idea what might be the issue? Is it something I can fix? Or should I call this a loss and scrap the phone?
Thank you in advance for any leads!
Edit : phone brand and model

2023.06.08 17:16 ChimpyEvans 36 [M4F] Houston and surrounding - Friends first, but looking longer term
Getting the physical stuff out of the way first: 6', 300lb, white. Cis.
Background
I'm a single guy living and working out in the Southwest suburbs of the Houston area. I've been out here since 2010, right out of college, for my first job. Luckily, I fell in love with it and have been there for going on 13 years, but unluckily, I feel I've focused more on that of late and have felt lacking in social stimulation. All work and no play, it would seem.
I'm from the DFW area originally, and went to school in Grapevine/Colleyville in the mid-cities and UNT for college. Not much to say about that time, feels like forever ago, but I still visit because my parents are still up there.
Work
I'm a software developer working on compilers for embedded systems. If you need to google any of that, let me help!
- Compiler - Software that reads a language and outputs it in another, usually more primitive language
- Embedded system - A computer system, usually low-power, that controls a very specific function. Examples are:
- Phone WiFi chips
- The monitor and controls on your dashboard
- Whatever controls those levers and cogs on all the machines in the "Satisfying Things" videos on youtube
Interests
Not very active politically, but very liberal in belief. Not religious, but don't mind if you are.
I'm a gamer of all types: board, video, very rarely card.
- Currently enjoying the Binding of Isaac board game and looking into Frosthaven
- Play MMOs and ARPGs mainly. Never played Apex/Fortnite, no CoD, no sports
- Friends all play Magic so I can mostly talk the talk, but never walked the walk
- I bought into Jerma985's Grotto Beasts card game as well, and would be interested in learning that
- Very much love D&D, but can't seem to get friends to play due to schedule/disinterest
My friends all know me as the "food guy", since I know so much about the Houston area restaurant scene. So if you are a fan of finding new and interesting places to try, I'm your guy. This also extends into the kitchen, where I can generally come up with something good regardless of what is available to me. I'm an expert Midnight Gourmand.
I usually plan 1 longish, but still domestic trip a year, but I don't travel all that often. Local exploration is often enough for me. I haven't really built up the courage to go international yet.
Conclusion
First and foremost I'm looking for someone I can hang out/talk with pretty easily. I like to banter, and I feel like my conversations and references can be pretty abstract/ridiculous. You'll get major bonus points if you can field or even feed that.
On the flip side, I love hearing people geek out over their particular fixations, even if I have little to no clue about the actual subject.
I'm open minded to trying other hobbies/interests, but have had trouble in the past actually getting into things. Perhaps I just need a +1?
Regardless, let's talk some! It's so much easier to get a feel for someone when you're hearing their voice and not just reading some words they typed out with no tone.

2023.06.08 17:12 Seadragon1983 A Seadragon Shitposting Skit: Hosting the Super Regionals
Now, for something new and original...
The scene: NCAA Headquarters in Kansas City. Mr. NCAA is in his office and about ready to light up a cigar when the alarm on his phone goes off. It's for the Super Regional selections he must make today
Mr. NCAA: Clarice, can you bring in the sixteen winners to the office?
Clarice, the receptionist, sees that all sixteen characters are here. These are the mascots that represent the sixteen Regional winners from last weekend. You have a few human like mascots, like the Duke Blue Devil, the Wake Forest Demon Deacon and the Virginia Cavalier; and you have some animal mascots as well, like Big Al for Alabama, Sycamore Sam for Indiana State, SuperFrog for TCU and Bevo for Texas. Everyone then comes into the office. It's a nice office with a view of Kansas City from the top floor. Mr. NCAA see the entire group and is amazed with at least two of them being here - The Duck and Eli.
Mr. NCAA: Congrats to all sixteen of you who made this far in the Baseball Tournament. I see some old faces and some nice new ones here. Welcome to the party, Indiana State.
Sycamore Sam: Thanks, Mr. NCAA sir. The honor is mine.
Mr. NCAA: Don't worry about it. Anyway, it's time to unveil who will host the Super Regional Round this weekend. You know the rules: If it's seeded vs. seeded, the higher seed hosts; If it's seeded vs. unseeded, the seeded team hosts; If it's both unseeded teams, then the regional seeds decides who hosts. Got it? Good. Let's begin with the Friday games - First off is Duke and Virginia. Blue Devil, you're heading to Charlottesville.
Blue Devil: Sweet! I gave that clown of a Cavalier two of his four losses at his home field earlier this year.
Cavalier: Fluke wins, Dookie. You aren't getting that lucky this time.
Mr. NCAA: Ah, conference rivals. Brings joy to this old and withered heart of mine. Speaking of conference rivals... Cocky, you're heading to Gainesville.
Cocky: Uh... sure... He spots Albert, sitting in one of the chairs in the office, eating a Chic-Fil-A chicken sandwich with a sign next to it that reads "this is your fate, chicken!" All Cocky can do is a loud gulp as he now visibly shaken
Mr. NCAA: I wonder if that bird brain knows that he defeated Florida this season already... meh. Next up, SuperFrog, you're off to Terre Haute.
Sycamore Sam: Hold on, boss man. Can I request that SuperFrog host the Supers this weekend instead of me? I have the Special Olympics coming in and after hosting both the Missouri Valley Conference tournament and the Regional last weekend, there isn't enough manpower or hotel rooms left for me to host. What do you say, boss? We got a deal?
SuperFrog: I'll be a good host and all... oh, and can I barrow a pen from you, Mr. NCAA sir?
Mr. NCAA: Sure.
SuperFrog gets the pens and opens up his checkbook, which he carries around with him (He's old school in that way).
SuperFrog: writes the check for $250,000 Who do I make this out to, Sam?
Sycamore Sam: Indiana Special Olympics.
SuperFrog: Here you go, champ. A $250,000 check for the Special Olympics. It's the least I can do to help out a fellow school.
Sycamore Sam: in shock Wow... that's nice of you, man. Thanks.
Mr. NCAA: Okay, Sam, you're heading to Fort Worth this weekend. That leaves our final Friday game - Eli, you're going to Eugene. Oregon was the #2 seed in Nashville while you were the #4 seed in Stillwater, which means Oregon hosts.
Eli: I'm just thankful for the chance to compete in this part of the tournament. Let's have some good games, Duck.
The Duck: You too, Eli.
Mr. NCAA: That takes care of the Friday games. Now, for the Saturday games - Big Al, you're going to Winston-Salem.
Big Al: Top seed?
Mr. NCAA: Top seed.
Big Al: Best pitchers?
Mr. NCAA: Best staff in the nation.
Big Al: Bring it on.
Mr. NCAA: Well then... Bevo, you're off to Stanford.
Bevo: Okay, I do like my chances there.
The Tree, who is standing off to the side in the office, holds a sign that reads "Good luck, bovine. You'll need it..."
Mr. NCAA: Wildcat, you're off to Baton Rouge.
Wildcat: Never did like going there, whether it was for football or basketball or even baseball.
Mike the Tiger: Oh, don't worry... I'll make sure your visit is worth it. Hey, guys! Get the gumbo pot ready... we got a conference visitor this weekend!
Mr. NCAA: Finally, we come to you two - Seymour and Smokey. Since you were both #2 seeds in your regional, we're going to have a coin flip. Seymour, since you have the better record, you get the choice - heads or tails?
Seymour: Heads.
Mr. NCAA flips the coin and it lands on heads
Mr. NCAA: Heads it is. Smokey, you're off to Hattiesburg.
Smokey: Oh, poo. I can't win on the road this season... let's hope that doesn't come back to haunt me.
Seymour: Sweet! I get to host something... should of hosted last weekend, if you ask me.
Mr. NCAA: Okay, that takes care of everything. Enjoy yourselves this weekend and I'll see the eight winners in Omaha next weekend. Clarice, hold all my calls... As the last two leave, Mr. NCAA finally lights up the cigar he's been holding on to.

2023.06.08 17:04 Sahalynsk Nothing is impossible
I've currently gotten out of the internet addiction I used to have and now I enjoy my life to the fullest without it, I still look at social media every now and then but it's definitely not the same as it was. I decided that I'd share some tips that have helped me along the way.
------------
A good one would be to start off by starting a dopamine detox for a month / 2 month period, cutting out your main phone and having an old one, now it isn't a requirement to get a flip phone. Personally I got an iPhone 4s from eBay which allows me do everything day to day without access to social media. ( Calls, Music, Basic Browser, Nice Design, E-Mail, and Quality Camera + It's quite cheap )
The longer without internet the more you will start to enjoy certain aspects of life more and more. Go outside without any music or podcasts so your brain can relax and restore it's dopamine levels, read books, meditate, self care, restrict watching TV/Internet for a day a week only and even then train yourself to not overuse it and remember that the internet was made as a tool for it to make your life easier. Fill your life with general activities that don't include internet usage.
Now this might be hard for some, find themselves feeling extremely uncomfortable without Social Media use. But the thing about our brain is that at one point it adjusts to it and starts finding enjoyment in little things. I promise you that this path isn't easy, but you can't risk having the rest of your life completely ruined by the internet. Your brain for the first week will start to kick and scream like a child having a tantrum, but the same way as a child if you teach them discipline they will stop acting the way they did and will start growing and changing their way of thinking. And trust me it's for the best if you stop now, the more you go on the more you will generally lose interest over life in itself.
Most Importantly:
Train your will power and concentration as much as you can, and make sure that you have goals to strive for, make sure you have any mental or physical problems resolved or have a starting point to solve them.
And remember that it all starts from small steps, this is possible and I believe in all of you. Some are in harder situations than others but the best thing you can do is to try your best.

2023.06.08 17:01 AgentPeggyCarter Throwback Thursday - Julian McMahon Interview May 28, 1999
May 28, 1999
Julian McMahon, 'Profiler's' Distant Detective
Television: The Australian-Born Actor Has Succeeded By Appealing Equally to Men and Women.
Today's Calendar Stories
By MICHELE BOTWIN, Special to The Times
Julian McMahon can be a perfect gentleman. And he can be a total goof.
During a break in his trailer on location with "Profiler," the NBC dramatic series in which he plays FBI Det. John Grant, the strikingly handsome Australian-born actor dissolves into a mock, aristocratic mode.
"I love life. I love the whole breathing thing," he declares, drawing in his cheeks, rolling his eyes. "I love breathing in, I love breathing out."
Earlier, on the set, located this day in downtown Los Angeles in an old meat-packing house configured to look like an artist's loft, he greets visitors with kisses on both cheeks.
"Did they roll out the red carpet for you?" he asks, smiling brilliantly, gesturing broadly as if to say, "All this is mine, welcome to my palace."
His "palace" is the less-than-glamorous warehouse floor, packed with cast and crew—and McMahon is not the star of the show or the center of attention. But McMahon—his over-the-top personality and 6-foot-2 frame aside—has the kind of acting chops that colleagues say could help him emerge from "Profiler's" largely ensemble cast.
"When you meet him, there is an innate charm and likability, a 'regular guy' kind of thing," says Stephen Kronish, who joined "Profiler" as executive producer this fall. "He has the ability and the physical package that casting people look for. If you can get men to want to go out and have a beer with you and get women to want to jump into bed with you, that's a pretty good mix. He's got that quality."
While many Americans may not be familiar with McMahon, the 30-year-old Sydney native is a household name in his home country and the United Kingdom. His father, Sir William McMahon, spent a lifetime in politics, the high point as prime minister of Australia from 1971 to 1972. And in the early '90s, the actor starred in "Home and Away," a successful Australian soap opera with a huge international audience.
Then too there was the media swarm that followed McMahon during his courtship of and marriage (in 1994) to his "Home and Away" co-star, Australian singer-actress Dannii Minogue, sister of pop star, Kylie. They divorced three years later, as her career took her to London and his to New York, where he landed a role as Ian Rain on NBC's daytime drama "Another World."
Although McMahon, who has been with "Profiler" since its debut in 1996, has a key role, the way his character is constructed in the high drama formula doesn't allow much opportunity for him to flex his acting muscles. For three seasons, the show has followed the lives of forensic psychologist Dr. Samantha "Sam" Waters (Ally Walker) and the FBI's Atlanta-based Violent Crimes Task Force, which investigates serial killing crimes across the country. Sam's mentor, Bailey Malone (Robert Davi), heads the task force, which includes McMahon's character.
The thriller's hook is that Sam possesses the ability to "think in pictures" in order to "profile"—and thereby identify—this very specific breed of killers.
McMahon's character can be hot-headed or sober at the flip of a switch. There is his scowling intensity when he's face to face with--or gunning down--a psycho killer. But there's not much emotional range for the detective, who's a professionally driven loner. John Grant has a bit of sarcastic humor, and he more often than not goes for the jugular rather than the niceties of interrogation techniques, but that's about it.
Generally, the character is immutable, unreadable. However, there have been moments when McMahon's been able to convey sensitivity.
In one episode this season, a serial killer has a gun pointed at Grant's head. She's a cop who's been killing--and castrating--men who don't comply with police investigations. Forced to his knees, Grant gives an impassioned, but calculated, speech: "You were everything a father could want in a daughter, but that wasn't good enough . . . " his eyes searching, his voice cracking. He closes his eyes for a moment, and then she turns the gun on herself.
McMahon actually has little in common with the enigma he has been given to portray on "Profiler."
"He's very sensitive, full of enthusiasm and positive energy," notes Davi, who adds that he's formed an older brother type of relationship with his co-star. He recounts how McMahon spent time with his family and young daughters when Davi's wife was ill. "He's like the Australian Roberto Benigni, with warmth and generosity."
"Baywatch" star Brooke Burns, who has been dating McMahon for five months, echoes the sentiment.
"He's very masculine and, at the same time, very tender-hearted," says the 21-year-old actress. "He really cares about people, he's genuine."
On the set, in counterpoint to the scene being taped--in which a female agent discovers she is being stalked--McMahon is hamming it up off camera, pretending to swallow pills on the kitchen counter, slashing the air with a kitchen knife Zorro-style, kicking up his heels.
When the scene is over, he slips into a Mafioso character: "It was good for me. Was it good for you?"
"Part of this job as an actor is to look as intense as you can," McMahon says later. "I have to laugh. I get the giggles, like back in school."
At least once this season he's been allowed to laugh—during a guest spot on the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace," playing a steaming hunk who rekindles Grace's emotional fire.
"Creatively, it was fascinating," he says. "They're really spontaneous on the set."
On the Saturday following the taping, McMahon is at his Hollywood home, an eclectic place located directly underneath the Hollywood sign.
"As a kid I didn't even know about Hollywood. I was into school, sports, friends and my family," he says, his speech still slightly flavored by Australia. "But then I remember going and seeing 'Star Wars' and thinking that was amazing, that for two hours, it put me totally somewhere else."
The second of three children, he traveled at an early age to places like Buckingham Palace and the White House and was at home when his parents entertained. Though the family was close, McMahon did not spend much time with his much older and politically involved father. That changed when his father was diagnosed with cancer. The two formed a tight bond until his death in 1988.
"It was difficult because I had just found this best friend, an 80-year-old man, and he was just taken from me," he recalls. "My dad was the kind of person who would treat everybody the same, a really wonderful trait that he passed on to me without my knowing it."
He also inherited his father's sense of humor, according to McMahon's mother Lady Sonia, a leading society figure in Australia.
"Julian was always joking around and the life of the party," she says by phone. "Not that I ever thought it would lead to something like this."
There were hints. McMahon started modeling when he was 17, after a university stint. Heading off for Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Rome and Paris, he wanted to make a name for himself. He went from modeling to the daytime soaps, then prime time. He hopes serious movie roles will be next. During the 1997 series hiatus, McMahon appeared in "In Quiet Night," an independent film that never made it to theatrical release, and this summer, he will continue reading for feature film parts.
"I hate labels, but people put you in a box or category, that's how they are. But you can't allow yourself to get in that box," he says.
Nevertheless, for a while most people will connect McMahon with the distant Det. Grant. This week, NBC announced that "Profiler" would be back for another season in the fall.
Part of the network's "thrillogy" Saturday evening lineup, the show has been a hit among adults 18-49 and women 25-54, and the 1997-98 season gave NBC its first time period win in five years among adults 18-49 on the night. But McMahon knows that the television life cycle can be short—and he's prepared for his run on "Profiler" to end.
Says McMahon: "You have to have the ability to pick yourself up and go on when things don't go right."
- "Profiler" airs at 10 p.m. Saturdays on NBC.

Assuming they would have same specs, which one will work better? It's for secondary backup burner phone that won't be used much.
For example I can get some Alcatel 1(B,V,S,etc) phones that are usually A53/A55 quad-core (in range 1.3-2.0GHz) with 1/2GB RAM and run on Android Go... or Nokia 5.1 A53 octa-core(2GHz) with 2/3GB RAM running on normal Android.

2023.06.08 16:41 Bean_888 My (25f) bf (29m) keep arguing
So for context, last night my (25f) boyfriend (29m) and I were both laying on the couch hanging out, I was talking to him about something and in the middle of it he said “shh!” And I paused, said “okay” trying to listen to what he heard. It turns out it was my phone making the noise but he thought someone was in the house. He proceeded to call me rude and said that I rolled my eyes at him. I responded that I didn’t, I just said okay???? He then gets up to take the dog out, and when he comes back in he just goes straight to bed & doesn’t say anything to me. Usually, he’ll say something like “let’s go to bed” or “can we go lay down?” But he didn’t say anything. (Side note, if I do this & go into another room without telling him he gets very upset with me and says I’m not communicating with him.) I didn’t get upset, but I went into our second bedroom and played some video games, then fell asleep. I was waiting because I knew he would tell me if he wanted me to be around him.
Morning comes, and I think everything is normal because I’m barely awake. He tells me how he’s sad that I didn’t come to bed with him. I say “I’m sad too, you didn’t talk to me at all” He continues to say “but you said you were tired so I thought we were going to bed” Again, I’d like to clarify that he has NEVER gone to bed without saying something to me. So I said “I’m sorry I made you feel that way, I did want to lay with you but you didn’t speak to me at all. It seems we both just misunderstood each other.” I thought we were on the same page now, because it’s true that both of us could have made the effort and said something, but we didn’t. He continues to say “BUT why did you go in that room? BUT you didn’t come to bed. BUT you already said you were tired earlier. BUT it hurts my feelings that you didn’t come to bed.” At this point I’m frustrated and confused because…. What??? I already apologized, hugged him, and told him my intentions along with my perspective.
To top it off, we had an argument earlier that week where our positions were flipped. I was trying to communicate to him how there was a gap between his intent and actions, and he just kept getting angry that he already apologized and that I “can’t tell him how he feels, he can’t help how I perceive things” etc.
This time, him constantly saying “but! But ! But!” When I apologized, acknowledged his feelings and how I unintentionally hurt them. It felt like he was reacting since I said he hurt me too. But it’s the truth; his behavior was abnormal and it threw me off. I’m not trying to make him into a villain, it was a simple misunderstanding where we both made mistakes.
He just kept getting more upset and said I’m not listening to how he feels, and proceeds to say how I was “annoyed” with him all morning. Once again, this threw me off. I woke up groggy and hugged and kissed him and said good morning . I’m not sure how that is interpreted as annoyed, so I told him that it’s unfair for him to tell me how I was feeling when I was in fact in a good mood, and didn’t do anything that would indicate otherwise. He was again just upset, and said that he’s trying to tell me how I made him feel. I am absolutely baffled at the double standard and angry now.
TLDR; miscommunication caused an argument, does my boyfriend have double standards or am I doing something wrong.

Hey all,
So, I'm putting together a PnP Binder and wanted to share what I've got so far.
Part 1: The details
Pics:
https://imgur.com/a/akUyTGS So I'm putting together a PnP Binder and wanted to share what I've got so far.
The criteria for games are that they are 1 player or 1+ Players and either NO components besides dice, OR very few components. I do have plans for adding a metal sheet or magnetic vinyl sheet, to the notebook. Then I can use magnetic "tokens" on games to increase game pool. Most of the games now are roll and writes. I'd like for that to change at some point.
For dice I either use physical ones or use the app "Sophie's Dice" (it's available on phone, iPad, windows, macOs). The app is awesome because I can make custom dice with any required special "faces" like in 30 rails I have all of the images on a die. Makes it much more pleasant to play.
I keep all rules digital and have them synced via iCloud Drive to my phone, iPad and MacBook so I have pretty easy access to them no matter what, plus it doesn't clutter the binder up.
I'm using a FiveStar NoteBinder because you can flip it back over itself like a notebook. Perfect for playing games!
For me, since I'm left handed I put everything in from right to left. Makes it so much easier to write without out hitting the rings.
I tried the page protector route but found it to be kind of messy looking and not as pleasant to write on so I went with 3 mil lamination for every page.
They work PERFECTLY with Staedtler LumoColor Wet Erase Markers. I got the fine ones (.6mm)but I think I'd like to get the Medium tips (1 mm) at some point ((
https://www.amazon.com/Staedtler-ST-316-WP8-Non-Permanent/dp/B0007OEDT8)
I went with the wet erase because I've found that dry erase tends to smudge and leave a color residue for me. Maybe I'm not doing it right. PLUS, wet erase means you can leave and come back without having to worry about losing your place.
Part 2: The questioning
So for this next part, I'm reaching out for any games that I might have missed or MUST play. (the full binder list will be at the end of the post)
I'm trying to branch out a bit and add some games that require light components, so NOT just dice. I figure I can add any cards or tokens in a page protector for the games, but still want to keep it as streamlined as possible.
I love the roll and writes but want something with a bit more substance and some more interesting mechanics instead of just "push your luck". Some games that incorporate machine building like wingspan etc would be neat.
Anyways, the long and the short of it is that I'd love some suggestions for new games to add or feedback about the games or binder as it stands now.
Thanks!

2023.06.08 16:12 ExitForward8517 Should I listen to my Dad and cut my girlfriend loose. We’ve been together 2.5 years?
We’ve dated in secret because my Dad, who is my best friend, doesn’t want me in relationships until I’m 18. For context, he recently retired from the NBA. I’m also a D1 prospect and have been working hard to make the league. I’m currently a junior and my girlfriend, Missy, has been supportive. She’s at all my games, even comes to most practices if she’s able. Missy got me a flip phone to call and text her, I do it when I’m able. I’ve gone days without texting during grind of AAU, she’s super understanding. The issue is that my Godbrother was forwarded a text from his friend where Missy was joking about marrying me and being set for life, due to my family’s financial state. Mark sent this to my Dad without my knowledge. I was awoken at 6 am and my Dad, 3 other basketball coaches, including my Pastor, were there. They spoke about how a dishonest woman can cost you everything and how I need to refocus and cut her off. I had to give my flip phone and my Dad smashed it with a hammer. I then trained for 2 hours and my Dad said I’m not to see or talk to her ever again. I am hurt, never even got to ask Missy about it. My Dad said I don’t need to ask because that text says everything I need to know and it isn’t a joke.
I do everything my Dad asks, but he’s not bending on this. Should I just forget the relationship?
