I have never quite managed to get the dose just right for tea, and always found it increases my tolerance quite quickly. When I toss and wash I generally only need 0.65 of some bali gold with zero tolerance to feel nice, and whenever my tolerance reaches past 1g I take a few days off to let it settle back down, this has been working quite well for me for about a year now..
With me being such a light weight on toss and wash (it does make dosing a bit tricky), how much more powder do you think I should generally use for making tea?

Black and White
Much of what has been written on Ridout and the Black and White houses is incorrect - and understandably so as very few members of the public live in one. This is because the SLA manages 500 or so units, of which many are reserved leases (American military in Sembawang, British Council in Dover), commercial leases or educational leases which leaves only a few hundred residential. Renters tend to stay for a long time so turnover is low. There might only be a few dozen opportunities to rent a year, so public interaction is miniscule compared with the private market.
Nonetheless, there is always a stock of dilapidated Black and Whites waiting to be restored for when demand is strong. Units often stay vacant for years. Why? The pool of renters is niche. The houses are old, come with no a/c, no hot water, no cabinets, no facilities & no appliances : exactly how they would have been in 1920-1940. The land area may be large but you cannot enlarge your house or build anything on it - this is why psf methods of valuing them don't make any sense. The land is not yours to do as you please. The plot ratio is not usable. The large field is only for you to mow and for your dog to run on. You can build a pool but you have to remove it when you leave. For barracks style units there is no security guard, or tennis court and you cannot prevent the public from wandering up to your window. For these reasons they usually rent for below the price of a comparable condo or house.
I looked at maybe 30 units before leasing mine, and I also grew up in the HoopeMakepeace cluster. Minister Shan's unit which was leased in 2018, would in my estimation have leased in the 20k to 35k range - nothing like the 200k or more bandied around by those with an agenda to enrage. The SLA lease process is designed to prevent corruption. If the situation is competitive, you submit a deposit to register your interest and then you drop off your blind bid at SLA by a deadline. The next day all the bids will be published. Someone will call you if you won and if you agree to honor your bid, the top bid will be published as the winner. Otherwise they might confiscate your deposit and talk to the second bidder. Even if you bid double the next person you cannot change your bid - and every bid is in the public record *before* you can decide yes or no. This is all then archived after a few months. If this process is not circumvented there should be no reason why anyone cannot bid on it, even the Minister.
Why even have Black and Whites?
So why do we even preserve these Black and Whites? If the demand is low, why not build HDB flats or condos instead on them?
Today only the SLA manages Black and Whites, but back in 1920 Singapore was full of them. When the British left Singapore they handed over all military and civil service housing to the Singapore Government. This became the SLA portfolio. The private sector Black and Whites were mostly slowly demolished and replaced by modern homes that built over the grounds. Without the SLA's conservation effort the current portfolio would be similarly wiped out by each owner's desire to maximize living space, monetize plot ratio or break into pieces to distribute upon death.
The SLA has been creative about how to keep these B&W estates alive by making them relevant as beautiful residential estates that double as a sort of historical park for the public, F&B and lifestyle spaces like Seletar and Dempsey and universities like UBS at Command House.
They serve as an extension of the National Museum and play a soft role in nation building and our shared identity as Singaporeans. They play a role in tourism and what international visitors takeaway in their minds about Singapore.
The conservation effort has been far sighted in my opinion, but you need people to occupy and maintain them for otherwise they will fall apart. When tenants leave they must restore everything back to the original 1920-40 condition for the next tenant. So you pay to put in a/c, hot water, cabinets, fridge, washing machine, oven, stove .... and then you pay *again* to remove them all. In that sense, when you lease a Black and White, you are effectively a custodian of it for Singapore even as you enjoy the surroundings of a bygone era - a win-win conservation solution.
(I was prompted to write this after reading Calvin Cheng's well written pieces. I think Calvin has got it right and I think the inaccuracies in the accusations are so blatant they cannot be guilty of ignorance but rather creative malice. Nonetheless, the SLA process was built to withstand corruption and it is fitting that it should be tested it to see if the public's faith is justified).

I eat one very healthy low carb meal a day (2-3 hours after waking), that works perfect for me, And I love very much.. So that means I eat a lot of calories in one meal. It consists of, a serving of 7 mushroom powder, an omega 3 fish oil pill, several different types of veggies (spinach, broccoli, peeled orange/yellow peppers, red onion), 3 ounces of chicken, a serving of bone broth, 1 tbsp. nutritional yeast, 4 ounces of several cheeses, sharp cheddar, mild colby, mozzarella, and muenster, a handful each of pecans, dry roasted hazelnuts, and pistachios, and 2 big mouthfuls of extra virgin olive oil.
I would def. wait 3 hours after eating to drop (a not strong 100ug blotter).
I would just not eat the whole day (which i always do) if it was a stronger gel tab because it takes care of everything and i dont feel any need to eat, but i have decided to take the blotter, and last time i had one it was weak and didnt last long and i ate on the comedown (it was odd because i took 2 month break from bi-weekly gel tab schedule, so maybe not 100ug, idk, but my tolerance was high for a long time.).. So i dont know if skipping the meal will bother me, and im planning on staying on my OMAD schedule so i dnt want to eat after.
I haven't tripped in 10 months so im taking the opportunity to test the blotter potency. Does eating/eating certain foods or amounts affect potency or absorbtion? (Planning on swallowing the tab, i dont do under tongue).

We got in the car and I told him I want to be dropped off at home. As we're driving he starts mocking me and changing his voice and saying "I'm scared", I said you're being very mean and rude and to please stop it. We got to my apartment and I was crying and said please stop here so I can get it. I get out and he rolls down the window while there are people standing out there and I'm walking to the door and he yells "Are you serious???!!!" I just kept walking to the door and then he sped off.
What the heck just happened? I don't tolerate this crap anymore and I can't just let it go. I don't think I should see him anymore. Is this a red flag? I'm right to think I need to cut this off, right? I've done therapy and work on myself every single day and I don't want to be disrespected ever again. He seemed so kind, truly. He has treated me better than I've ever been treated. Then this happened out of nowhere. I'm so confused.

joined the firm in january and finished my first busy season here. i heard the threshold and tolerance level for new hires are very low as mistakes are expected.
however i guess you can say im a bit confused since management pip'ed me.... i did not made any critical mistake on any engagements either. i was always responsive, and submitted my work on time. it seems like they want me on PIP because the quality of work i turned in to the senior to review was "not perfect"... but i am a staff 1? with 4 months of exp?
im just mostly sad because i cant tell if this is a problem with me being a slow learner or if the firm is just trying to lay off people and mask it as a performance issue.

Problem: So, I'm looking to begin ADHD meds but am very scared to begin as I've seen the detrimental effects on my close friends first hand. 2 of them, my closest friends have been on it for over 10 years. They were fine until I believe the built up a tolerance and have said they literally need it (the highest dose 60mg) to simply function in life. They can't even get out of bed, don't have motivation to clean their rooms, eat food or even hold a conversation. That's my friend 1. Now, my friend 2 has slipped into depression, has gone through psychosis and can't tell the difference between reality and fiction.
Long story short:
2 very normal friends I've had over the course of the past 15 years.. have become total strangers to themselves for the last 5 years and I have been giving them the benefit of doubt long enough. But we had the talk recently and that's when they opened up to me, hence me making this post.
So, that's the reason I'm very scared to begin as I know it worked for them for the first 10 years, but have plateaued and they can't seem to continue a NORMAL life even anymore.. I dont know what to do. :/
Can you guys please share your experiences as to how you've adapted to Vyvanse long-term? Have you developed a tolerance? What happens if you don't take a dose for a day, can you still function? How long have you been on it?
This will help me make a life decision so please be helpful and kind if possible. Thank you.

I went up from 40mg to 80 mg middle of last week. The initial side effects from 40, which were mild, vanished pretty fast. I was on 40 for at least 2 months. After three days on 80mg I got worse nausea at the beginning, but that's already gone. Also insomnia the first night, now it's gone. What I feel is a LOT of fatigue. I do remember feeling that at the beginning with 40, and it left fast.
But this time, I'm feeling apathy and just like I weigh 5,000 pounds. Hasn't progressed to proper depression, but sort of on the path there. I'm surprised - I have bipolar 2 disorder, and Strattera is sometimes known to cause hypomania, and I felt on 40mg I got a little bit of that at like week 2, but it tapered off. My anxiety that is always low level has totally vanished, though. It's like my amped up nervous system just shut down, which is good, but maybe too much?
Has anyone here experienced this kind of sluggish apathy bordering low-level depression when first starting Strattera or upping the dose? I don't want to quit just yet. I also don't want to sink into a hole and then it takes 2 weeks or a month to get back to baseline.
The other thing is this is a PMS phase, and it's really annoying that psychiatry is practiced in a sexless vacuum. For me, these medications change efficacy due to the times of the month, so that may throw a wrench in.
Anyway, thanks for any help/insight. I'm asking for people with positive Strattera experiences because there are many who have those, and since I tolerated it well at 40 mg (and also tolerated it well in my 20s when I was on it), I think this might be a side effect that will abate.

Hello all…I recently posted inquiring about MA tips and experiences and after a lot of thought I’ve made the decision to have a SA instead. I feel relief about this decision as anticipating the MA process and doing it alone was giving me severe anxiety.
I will be 5 wks 3 days when I have the procedure. I have a very low pain tolerance, and the clinic I am going to offers a mild oral sedative prior to the procedure (I’m assuming like a Valium). My question is - can anyone share their experience of having a SA with an oral sedative? I had a colposcopy and biopsy on my cervix years ago with no numbing and felt nothing, and I know every person is different, but I am hoping the SA is manageable for me with just an oral sedative. Any advice is welcome thank you in advance!!!

Dear friend,
I'm sorry that I always end up feeling down at some point because I know I'm no fun to talk to. I barely know what to say when we chat, I want my conversational skills to be better but I don't know where to begin. I've been doing the same stuff, day in, day out for several years now so it's hard to think of new stuff from my life to talk about so I know our conversation repeats itself pretty much daily and I'm sorry for that. This is why I've been trying to listen to the albums you've talked about before as well, so we have something else to talk about that night.
I'm also feeling like everyone just tolerates me and doesn't actually like me. I know we ask each other how we are everyday but I feel like if I'm 100% honest all the time, I'm just gonna put a dampner on your mood and I don't want to do that so I'm sorry that the majority of the time I lie when I'm asked.
You're an amazing friend, who I know I can rely on. You've shown me what real friendship was like when I've never experienced it so I'm always going to be greatful for that. The message you sent me that was chocked full of compliments, always makes me smile and a little bit teary eyed. So yeah, I'm sorry, I know I should be honest, be better at conversation and much more. I am trying to work on it.

I narrowly escaped an abusive relationship a month ago. Today as I was walking out of the gym, a guy in his car called me over to politely ask me out. The guy was not unfortunate looking by any means, so it caught me by pleasant surprise. I was so shocked anyone remotely pleasant and decent looking would even notice me enough to ask me out on a whim. Given the fact my abusive ex destroyed my self image, drilled me to think I was so repulsive inside and out, that it’d be a god send for anyone to tolerate me).
I politely declined, because I need at least a year to heal from the trauma of it all,but it got me thinking… just how fucked up am I? To be so impressed from a guy, who effortlessly called upon me from the convenience of his own car?
… that’s weird, right? Or am I over analyzing?

What I am Looking For: Hey there Torontonians. I am a, well, I don't even know what to call me, but as the title goes, I am a quasi bi-curious gay dude who recently had his world turned upside down at Anime North. So pansexual I guess? I digress!
