2023.04.02 07:19 SimplifyAndAddCoffee What are the best resources for someone looking to get into learning autobody work from the ground up for their own project cars?

long story short I have a car which lived in a major city and has textbook examples of just about every variety of minor body and paint damage. Basically no panel on the car is spared. It's an aluminum body. A sane person would shrug and just live with a dinged up hooptie, but I'm not a sane person. I want to use it as an opportunity to learn how to fix things properly.
Where would be a good place to start in terms of:
  1. tool kits... like, are there any good, low budget tool sets that include just about everything one would need to get into body work? What should I spend money on vs what should I skimp on or do without in terms of tools?
  2. learning/tutorial resources. What are the best youtube channels, etc., for learning these kinds of things? I want to learn to do it the right way for professional looking results.
  3. Any particular pro tips or warnings I should be aware of going into this? Weird shit that will bite me trying to work on an aluminum body car?
I can post some pictures if you want, but really it's just a beat up looking honda insight from the turn of the century that needs at a minimum some filler putty, sanding, and a full respray, but probably also some dent pulling, beating things back into alignment, trim replacement/plasti dipping, weather sealing, glass polishing, etc etc...
P.S. I want to improve the aero of parts like the mirrors which ruin the otherwise good drag coefficient of the car... are there any good parts out there I could put on? What do I need to do to make modifications like that assuming they don't bolt up?
Thanks!

2023.04.02 07:17 RustyTanks Please get out of my head, I would like to be ok for a change

Whelp, it's midnight again. And I can't get her out of my head so I might as well put my memories to use. I honestly don't know if anyone is going to see this and I don't really care, I just need to vent somewhere.
This is a message to someone who will never receive it, and the story of what happened between us. Just a rant I had to get off my chest so I can get some sleep.
I miss her, so much... But she's never coming back, because the funny, snarky, sharp girl I met in what is quite honestly the worst class of sophomore year (civics) is dead. Replaced with a cold, deranged shell of the beautiful person I used to know. Who knows if there is a god, hell there could be hundreds of them, I don't care. But what I do know is they are a cruel, careless gods. they took my happiness, my hope, my soul. They made me feel worthless, I had failed to save the one person I cared about more than anything and now that sunflower I loved has wilted and died, and all that is left is frost, pestilence, and decay.
I met her sophomore year. Her hair a split between midnight black and khaki tan, messy, almost a wolf cut. Her eyes were a deep coffee brown normally, but when even the slightest bit of light hit them they became a vibrant hazelnut color. Almost as if they were coffee and someone poured in the creamer. She wore glasses, round and thin rimmed. They complimented her features well. Rare were the days where you'd find her without some sort of flannel, they did look good on her after all. Anyway, she was a friend of a friend. and it so happened that we were all in the same civics class, so of course we became friends. Turns out she was also in our schools marching band. she was quite the recluse so I never really noticed her, but now she shined. Like a lighthouse's messaging pattern, a beacon of attention, At least to me she was. Naturally we started to get to know each other faster and faster as we started talking more frequently. She was really into, I think it was indie music. The kind you would in the back of record stores or burned onto a CD, because that's so thrifty and retro. The more we talked the closer we got, it helped that we had the same sense of humor and would always spend time together at marching band. She played the flute, and very well too. Of course she made mistakes here and there but we're all human. she was so passionate about music, to the point where you could really see her emotions as she blasted music through her headphones. As the months passed by I started getting closer to her, and consequently, my feelings for her started to grow. A little at first, but it wasn't long until I was head over heels. This girl, who not a couple months ago I barely knew, had me by the throat with her witty jokes and adorable laugh. There was obvious chemistry between us and she definitely saw it, but she pushed me away. Most likely because she had rejected me earlier on in our friendship because I had told her how I felt. Nevertheless I carried on, being the best I could for her. I'd always be there for her, because even though she wasn't interested I should still be the best I can for her. A little while later in the year the fencing season started up. I was on my school's fencing team and she tagged along at practice, claiming she was just there so she didn't have to go home. But I knew she was there to see me. If I wasn't on strip or helping lead the novices, we would be together somewhere cracking jokes and watching bouts. Towards the end of the year she called me one night crying. Now for some context, she had depression and was suffering with urges to SH. I made it clear that I was always going to be there for her if she needed someone to talk too and I praised her progress with getting over her SH habit. But anyway, she called me one night crying, terrified of her thoughts and what she might do to herself. It took me a while but I calmed her down, and convinced her to go to a "grippy sock prison" as she liked to call it. It was a week before I had heard from her again, I got a text from an unrecognized number telling me to expect a call from another unrecognized number. It was her, she was ok and in a mental hospital not too far away. Of course I didn't get visitation but she would use up all of her daily calls to talk to me. And I would always be there, on time and available every time. She told me about the ward and the people, not very pleasant if you ask me but then again it's not supposed to be. She would sketch often, I saw some of her art when she got out a month later. She ran up to me in school and it felt like time had stopped when she embraced me. I had never felt so relieved to have someone back in my like before. The weekend she got out she confessed to me, and we started dating. It was nice at first, hanging out after school, holding hands and cuddling in the back of the local library. But then came the day it all went to hell. I believe it was July 28th, a Thursday. We were hanging out at the library and she pulled out a little white tablet and said she had to use the bathroom. I knew I should've stopped her, the tablet didn't look prescription and she used to have a drug problem. But I didn't want to be controlling, I trusted her. But that was the wrong decision. She came back trembling, unable to speak, but she just layed down on me and put my hands around her waist. I moved my hand to feel her pulse on her wrist and it was sporadic, she was having a bad trip and there was nothing I could do about it. I tried to keep a level head, to keep the situation calm and be there for her. She was in this state for a little over a half an hour, and the whole time I was there. Holding her tight and reassuring her that she was going to be ok, that I was there for her and that I loved her. The next couple days at school she wasn't the same, she was distant, distracted, as if she wasn't really there. She started talking a lot about her friend that she gets substances from, and that worried me. She decided to spend the pep rally the next day with her dealer friend instead of with me. Not a day later she broke up with me, and not a week after that she got with her dealer friend. I was devastated, I sunk into a deep depression and reached the point where I hiked up a hill, climbed a sheer rock face, and contemplated jumping off the cliff I had just climbed just to get away from it all. Obviously I didn't and I climbed back down, back to reality, where I had lost the one person who made me feel complete. Where I was tossed aside like trash. used, and then discarded. She eventually moved away to live with her mother across the country. And I rarely hear from her, but when I do she doesn't sound like the same person I knew. She wasn't the person I had fallen in love with, that version of her was long gone. Remaining only as fragments, pieces of a broken memory, of a broken heart.

Phish, Thursday 04/02/1998 (25 years ago) Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY, USA
Gap Chart, Tour: 1998 Island Tour
Set 1 : Tube , My Mind's Got a Mind of its Own , The Sloth , NICU , Stash 1 > Horn > Waste > Chalk Dust Torture
Set 2 : Punch You in the Eye > Simple > Birds of a Feather 2 , Wolfman's Brother -> Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley 3 -> Frankie Says 2 > Twist > Sleeping Monkey > Rocky Top
Encore : Guyute
1 Unfinished. 2 Debut. 3 No vocal jam.
Jamchart Notes:
Tube - Island Tour opener. Mike's bass lines keep this funky jam fresh, while Page transitions from the clav to the organ and piano. Also includes a guitar breakdown.
Stash - The jam almost immediately breaks into exploratory ground that is unusual for this period. Following an ending section without vocals, the jam at 13:10 breaks into a gorgeous ambient jam (first of '98) with "Frankie Says" quotes.
Chalk Dust Torture - Crazy set-closing version where Trey just keeps the jam going and going, and then he converses a bit with the audience during the conclusion.
Birds of a Feather - Debut has a crescendo-oriented jam that starts off relaxed and picks up punch.
Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley - -> in from "Wolfman's Brother." A heavy funk groove breaks out following the lyrical section with some great Fishman percussion. Great collective playing as the jam progresses and segues -> into "Frankie Says."
Twist - Exceptional, multi-section version. The jam breaks away from "Twist" at 6:30 into a serene and lush ambient soundscape. At 13:10, an effects-laden darkness overtakes and continues until a > to "Sleeping Monkey."
Show Notes:
This show marked the debut of Birds of a Feather and Frankie Says. After NICU, Trey commented on the brief "Island Tour," remarking that the band was getting bored at home and wanted to play some shows. Stash was unfinished and contained Frankie Says quotes at its end. The final chord of Chalk Dust included a "Charge!" tease from Page. Fikus was teased by Fish before Wolfman's. Sneakin' Sally did not contain a vocal jam. Twist included Star Trek theme teases from Mike. This show is available as an archival release on LivePhish.com.

Encore : Amazing Grace , Rocky Top
1 Fish on washboard. 2 Simpsons signal. 3 Trey on acoustic guitar. 4 Random Note signal.
Jamchart Notes:
Weekapaug Groove - The breakdown begins with dissonant rocking by Trey and Mike, then leaves "Weekapaug" altogether, journeying through several improvisational soundscapes. Arguably the most out-there, experimental "Weekapaug" ever, with a blazing return home and vocal jam taboot.
Show Notes:
In a nod to the previous show's Neil Young prank, Trey teased Sugar Mountain in Divided Sky. I Didn't Know featured Fish on washboard and The Horse featured Trey on acoustic guitar. Runaway Jim contained a Simpsons signal and Weekapaug contained a Random Note signal.

Jamchart Notes:
Possum - Teases and signals in the jam (see Setlist). Definitely an odd, off-kilter sort of jam. (*Recording runs out before ending).

Divided Sky contained a tease of The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday from Trey. Dog Log was played for the first time since March 9, 1990 (146 shows). 2023.04.02 07:12 Objective-Dance984 Evidence-based discussion: Maximum five-minute read. I encourage people to respond.

There is a trove of evidence that the Palestinian movement has utilized disinformation and propaganda to manipulate the international community. According to the US State Department's report from 2019, Hamas has been engaging in a systematic campaign of misinformation and propaganda to manipulate public opinion. The report outlines how Hamas has been using various channels, including social media, to spread false information and incitement against Israel. Hamas is accused of disseminating conspiracy theories and false accusations of Israeli aggression, and of glorifying terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians. Hamas has been known to use fake social media accounts and bots to amplify their messaging and make it appear as though there is more support for their cause than there actually is. The report also notes that Hamas has used its own media outlets to spread false information and incitement, including running news stories that are factually inaccurate and using graphic images to provoke an emotional response from viewers. The report also highlights the use of Hamas's military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, to disseminate propaganda and engage in violence against Israel. The Al-Qassam Brigades have been known to produce videos and social media content that glorify violence and depict Israel as an aggressor, often using graphic and disturbing imagery to shock and provoke viewers. The report states that Hamas has been actively manipulating the narrative around the conflict to further their political goals, and to gain support from the international community. It further states that Hamas has been using propaganda to portray themselves as a legitimate resistance movement, while demonizing Israel as an aggressor and human rights violator. In addition to their social media campaigns, Hamas has also been accused of using other channels to spread their propaganda, including mosques, schools, and community centers. The report emphasizes the need for the international community to be aware of Hamas's propaganda tactics, and to take steps to counteract their efforts to manipulate public opinion.
The report also notes that Hamas has been using propaganda to maintain control over the population in Gaza. By disseminating false information and inciting anti-Israeli sentiment, Hamas has been able to maintain a tight grip on power, and to suppress dissent and opposition to their rule. The Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) is an independent research institute that analyzes textbooks used in various countries to identify any extremist or intolerant content. In a report published in 2020, IMPACT-se found that Palestinian textbooks used in schools contain anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli content, including falsehoods and incitement to violence. The report analyzed textbooks used in Palestinian Authority schools, as well as those used in UNRWA-run schools, which serve Palestinian refugees in the region. The analysis found that the textbooks depicted the conflict with Israel as a religious war, rather than a political conflict. The textbooks also contained many passages that glorified violence against Israelis, including references to suicide bombers as "martyrs" and "heroes." The report also found that the textbooks included anti-Semitic content, including references to Jews as "enemies of Islam and the Palestinians''. Furthermore, the report found that the textbooks promoted intolerance and prejudice against other groups, including women, minorities, and the LGBTQ+ community. They contained passages that reinforced gender stereotypes and discriminated against minority groups, such as the Christian minority in the region. The use of such textbooks in schools has raised concerns, and many argue that they promote a culture of hate and intolerance, and hinder efforts towards peace between Israelis and Palestinians
US intelligence agencies have also documented instances of Palestinian groups using propaganda and misinformation to further their goals. A U.S Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report from 2019, titled "Israel: Countering the Threat of Terrorism," describes how the Palestinian Authority (PA) has employed a strategy of "internationalizing" the conflict with Israel. According to the report, this strategy involves using disinformation and propaganda to influence foreign governments and organizations, as well as international public opinion, in favor of the Palestinian cause. The report notes that the PA has made efforts to portray Israel as an aggressor and human rights violator, and has sought to gain international support through this. The PA has also attempted to delegitimize Israel and its policies. To achieve these goals, the PA has used a variety of tactics, including media campaigns, lobbying efforts, and participation in international forums such as the United Nations. It’s widely known that during the 2014 Gaza War, the Palestinian Authority (PA) used disinformation and propaganda to mislead the public about the nature of the conflict. The PA disseminated a false narrative that Israel was intentionally targeting Palestinian civilians and committing war crimes, which was widely spread through their media campaigns, social media posts, and public statements. The PA also claimed that Israel was responsible for the deaths of thousands of Palestinian civilians, when in fact, the vast majority of those killed were militants. This false narrative was spread through various channels, including the United Nations and other international organizations, to garner sympathy and support for the Palestinian cause. Furthermore, the PA staged events to bolster their propaganda, such as the "massacre" at a UN school in Gaza. The PA claimed that Israeli forces had deliberately targeted the school and killed dozens of civilians, including children. However, it was later revealed that the school was being used as a storage site for Hamas rockets and that the majority of those killed were Hamas militants. The use of false narratives, staged events, and propaganda by the PA during the 2014 Gaza War highlights their willingness to manipulate the truth to advance their agenda and gain support from the international community
Media campaigns have been a key tool for the PA in influencing international public opinion. The PA has produced and disseminated videos, social media posts, and other materials that depict Israel in a negative light. These campaigns often focus on specific incidents, such as clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian rioters, or the demolition of terrorists’ family homes. The aim of these campaigns is to generate sympathy for the Palestinian cause and to portray Israel as an oppressive and unjust state. The PA has been known to dramatize events and use false actors in these media campaigns. For example, they have been caught staging scenes of violence and injury during protests to garner sympathy and support from the international community. One example of this occurred during the 2018 Gaza border protests, in which Palestinian rioters clashed with Israeli forces. The PA circulated images and videos of a young Palestinian girl who was allegedly killed by Israeli forces, causing outrage and condemnation from the international community. However, it was later revealed that the girl, named Layla Ghandour, had not been killed by Israeli forces at all, but had instead died of a pre-existing medical condition. Additionally, her family admitted to being paid by the PA to falsely claim that she was killed by Israeli forces. Another example involves a Palestinian girl named Ahed Tamimi who became a symbol of Palestinian resistance after a video of her slapping and kicking an Israeli soldier went viral in 2017. However, it was later revealed that the incident was staged by her family in an effort to gain attention and sympathy from the international community. Tamimi's mother had allegedly instructed her to provoke the soldiers to film the incident and use it for propaganda purposes. The incident received widespread media coverage at the time. Other examples of media manipulation have included the use of actors to simulate injuries during protests, and the use of staged footage to depict Israeli aggression towards Palestinian civilians. One example of the use of actors to simulate injuries during protests occurred in May 2018, during protests along the Gaza-Israel border. The Israeli military released video footage that appeared to show a Palestinian man being shot and wounded during the protests. However, it was later revealed that the man was actually a well-known Palestinian activist who had been paid by the Hamas terror group to stage the incident for media coverage.
Another example of staged footage occurred in 2012, when the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV aired footage of a young boy being carried by his father, purportedly after being wounded in an Israeli air strike. However, it was later revealed that the boy was actually a victim of a domestic gas explosion, and that the footage had been manipulated to make it appear as if he had been injured in an Israeli attack. In another instance, during the 2014 Gaza conflict, a video was widely circulated on social media that appeared to show a young boy being killed by an Israeli drone strike. However, it was later revealed that the video was actually from Syria, and had been filmed two years earlier. The footage had been manipulated to falsely portray an Israeli attack.
Furthermore, lobbying efforts have also been crucial for the PA in influencing foreign governments and organizations. The PA has established relationships with political and civic leaders in a number of countries, and has worked to advance its agenda through these channels. The PA has also hired lobbying firms and public relations firms in the United States and other countries to help promote its message and influence public opinion. There have been serious concerns raised about the ties between these lobbying groups and well-known terrorist organizations. One example is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an advocacy group on Capitol Hill. According to a report by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, CAIR was founded by members of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which was found to have connections to Hamas. In addition, other CAIR officials have been linked to Hamas or expressed support for the group. For example, in 2008, the FBI released documents showing that CAIR was part of a network of organizations and individuals supporting Hamas in the United States. The documents included a memorandum from 1993 in which a Hamas leader in the United States identified CAIR as a member of the Palestine Committee, a group that was established by the Muslim Brotherhood to support Hamas in the United States. In 2007, CAIR's co-founder and former executive director, Nihad Awad, was recorded expressing support for Hamas in a private meeting. The recording was later leaked and widely circulated. These connections have raised concerns about the extent to which CAIR is able to influence US policy towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as the group's broader agenda and tactics.
Another group with ties to terrorism is the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) in the UK. While the PSC claims to operate peacefully and nonviolently, it has been criticized for its ties to terrorist organizations, specifically the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).The PFLP is a Marxist-Leninist organization that was founded in 1967 with the goal of liberating Palestine. The group has been responsible for numerous acts of terrorism against civilians. The PFLP has been designated as a terrorist organization by many countries, including the United States, Canada, and the European Union. In 2018, a member of the PSC's leadership was found to have been a member of the PFLP. Salah Ajarma, who served as the coordinator of the PSC's annual conference, was found to have been a member of the PFLP's military wing. According to reports, Ajarma played a role in planning and coordinating a terrorist attack on a bus in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1994. The attack, which was carried out by the PFLP, killed 22 people and injured dozens more.
Similarly, the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement has been criticized for its ties to terrorist organizations. The Israeli Ministry of Strategic Affairs has identified multiple BDS groups with links to Hamas and the PFLP. One of the groups that the ministry has identified is the BDS National Committee (BNC), which is the main coordinating body for the global BDS campaign. The ministry has accused the BNC of having close ties to Hamas. The Israeli government has provided ample evidence to support its claim that the BNC has ties to Hamas. For instance, the Ministry of Strategic Affairs announce that BNC board member Abdulrahman Abunahel had been a senior official in the Islamic Relief Worldwide charity, which has ties to Hamas. The Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has connections to the Union of Good and it has provided financial support to organizations affiliated with Hamas through its connections with the organization. The Union of Good is a charity organization that was designated as a terrorist organization by the United States in 2008 for providing financial support to Hamas. It was established in 2000, and is composed of a network of charities and organizations operating in several countries. The U.S. Department of the Treasury stated that the Union of Good was established by Hamas leaders to support the organization's activities and that it had provided millions of dollars in funding to Hamas-affiliated organizations in the Gaza Strip. The evidence cited by the U.S. government to support its designation of the Union of Good as a terrorist organization includes financial transactions and communications between members of the organization and Hamas leaders, as well as public statements and actions by the organization and its leaders. For example, the U.S. Treasury Department cited a 2002 press release from the Union of Good that expressed support for Hamas and its activities. The Treasury Department also pointed to financial transactions between the Union of Good and organizations that were directly affiliated with Hamas, as well as communications between members of the organization and Hamas leaders. Additionally, the U.S. government cited the Union of Good's connection to Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a prominent Hamas supporter who has been banned from entering the U.S. due to his support for terrorism. Al-Qaradawi served as the chairman of the Union of Good's board of trustees. Furthermore, Israeli government has provided several examples of individuals and organizations associated with the BDS movement that it claims have been involved in fundraising for Hamas and other terrorist groups. One such example is the case of Muhammad El-Halabi, a World Vision employee who was accused of diverting millions of dollars of aid money to Hamas. The Israeli government claimed that El-Halabi used his position at World Vision to funnel funds to Hamas's military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, which he identified as the intended beneficiaries of various aid projects. The Israeli government has also pointed to the case of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC), a Palestinian NGO that has been linked to the BDS movement. In 2019, the UAWC was designated as a terrorist organization due to the allegations that it was a front for the PFLP and that it had been involved in the planning of terrorist attacks against Israeli targets. The Israeli government provided several pieces of evidence to support its allegations against the UAWC. One of the key pieces of evidence was the fact that several UAWC employees had been arrested and charged with terrorist offenses in recent years. In 2019, for example, the Israeli military arrested and charged UAWC employee Rami Ayad with being a member of the PFLP and with involvement in planning terrorist attacks against Israeli targets. In addition to the arrests of UAWC employees, the Israeli government pointed to the organization's further ties to the PFLP. They claimed that the UAWC was founded by members of the PFLP and that it had maintained close ties to the organization ever since. The Israeli government also alleged that the UAWC had provided financial support to the families of PFLP terrorists and had facilitated the transfer of funds to PFLP operatives in the Gaza Strip. The government claimed that the UAWC used funds provided by international donors, including the European Union and the United Nations, to support terrorist activities. According to Israeli officials, the UAWC had used some of the funds to build military installations for the PFLP, which included training camps and weapons storage facilities. The UAWC was also accused of providing financial assistance to the families of PFLP operatives who had been killed or imprisoned by Israeli authorities. They provided evidence of financial transactions between the UAWC and known PFLP operatives, including payments made to individuals who had been involved in carrying out attacks against Israeli targets. The Israeli government has claimed that the BDS movement as a whole is involved in supporting terrorist organizations. There have been several reports of BDS activists attending meetings with representatives of Hamas and the PFLP. For example, in 2016, it was reported that two BDS activists, Ahmed Moor and Kristian Davis Bailey, had participated in a meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh during a visit to the Gaza Strip. In 2017, a delegation of BDS activists, including Omar Barghouti, reportedly met with PFLP officials in the West Bank. The Israeli government has also pointed to examples of BDS activism that it claims promotes violence against Israel and its citizens. For instance, in 2014, during the Gaza War, BDS activists in South Africa reportedly chanted slogans such as "shoot the Jew" and "kill the Jew" at a protest rally. Similarly, in 2015, a BDS activist in France was recorded on video shouting "Death to Israel" at a pro-Palestinian rally in Paris. The Israeli government has also accused BDS activists of supporting the use of violence against Israeli civilians, citing examples such as a BDS campaign that urged Palestinians to carry out stabbing attacks against Israelis.
There have been additional concerns about how Palestinian lobbying groups use their influence to whitewash or downplay terrorist activities carried out by Palestinian groups. These groups aim to gain support for their cause and present a positive image of themselves to the international community. One example of this is the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), which is based in the UK and has been accused of having ties to Hamas. The PRC has organized events and conferences in Europe that have been criticized for promoting anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist rhetoric. In 2010, the PRC was banned from holding an event in the British Parliament after concerns were raised about the organization's links to Hamas. Another example is the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), which has been accused of having connections to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). One of the co-founders of the USCPR, Hatem Abudayyeh, has been investigated for his alleged ties to the PFLP. In 2010, the FBI raided his home and the offices of a Chicago-based organization he was affiliated with called the Arab American Action Network. The FBI alleged that Abudayyeh and his organization had provided material support to the PFLP, including financial assistance and communication equipment. In addition to Abudayyeh, other members of the USCPR have been linked to the PFLP. For example, the group's former board member, Rasmieh Odeh, was convicted in Israel for her involvement in a 1969 bombing that killed two Israeli students. She was later deported from the United States for lying on her immigration application about her involvement in the attack. The USCPR has been involved in organizing events and protests in the US that have been criticized for glorifying violence and promoting anti-Semitic rhetoric. The allegations against the USCPR not only stem from its alleged connections to a number of PFLP members and sympathizers, but from the organization's public statements and actions. For example, In 2017, the USCPR reportedly held a fundraiser for the Palestinian Prisoners' Committee, a group that has been linked to the PFLP. The event was attended by several individuals who were believed to have ties to the PFLP, including Leila Khaled, a well-known PFLP member who was involved in several hijackings in the 1960s and 1970s. The USCPR has also been criticized for its involvement in organizing the "Great March of Return" protests in Gaza in 2018. These protests, which were organized by Hamas and other militant groups, were characterized by violence and resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians and injuries to thousands more. The USCPR has been accused of supporting these protests and of promoting anti-Semitic rhetoric in connection with them. In addition to these specific examples, the USCPR has been accused of promoting a broader agenda that is supportive of terrorist groups and their activities. Critics have pointed to the organization's support for the BDS movement, which has been linked to terrorist groups such as Hamas and the PFLP, as evidence of this agenda. The USCPR has also been accused of promoting a "one-state solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that would effectively eliminate Israel as a Jewish state, which many Israelis see as a threat to their existence.
Another advocacy group, the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) is a London-based organization that claims to advocate for the rights of Palestinian refugees. However, there have been concerns raised about its connections to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization. According to a report by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, the PRC has a history of promoting and glorifying terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups. In addition, in 2010, Israel banned the PRC for its alleged ties to Hamas. The Israeli government stated that the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) is a front for Hamas, and that its members have attended Hamas training camps in Gaza. The Israeli government has provided evidence of links between the two groups, including financial and logistical support provided by Hamas to the PRC. In 2006, Israeli forces arrested Jamal Abu Samhadana, the leader of the PRC, and accused him of being a senior Hamas operative. Israeli officials claimed that Abu Samhadana had received funding and training from Hamas, and had been involved in planning attacks against Israeli targets. The Israeli government has also cited the PRC's involvement in launching rockets and mortars from Gaza into Israel as evidence of its links to Hamas. In 2014, during Operation Protective Edge, the Israeli military targeted PRC members who were involved in firing rockets into Israel. The group has been responsible for numerous attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, including suicide bombings and shootings. The PRC has been involved in lobbying efforts in the UK, and has been accused of using its platform to promote anti-Semitic views and extremist ideologies. In 2019, the PRC was stripped of its UN accreditation after concerns were raised about its links to Hamas.
If all of this evidence is out there, why are people still being fooled? These people do not want peace… they want war… until Israel is gone.

2023.04.02 07:11 wakeupci4ra hey guys can someone help me with my English creative writing (sorry its long) i don't know how to end it.

Walk with pride
‘ding ding ding’ goes the bell, signifying the end of first period. I walk through the crowded halls, head held high smiling at everyone who glances at me. School isn’t for everyone, but im different. I love school. I love going to class, working hard, and socializing with the strange mixes of people surrounding me. But most importantly I love seeing this one girl, Isla. I don’t think she even knows I exist. Every day I admire her beautiful blonde hair that lit up every room that was lucky enough to have her in it. Her eyes as blue as the ocean on a hot summer’s day. But when you really look into her eyes, they told of a lifetime of struggle that had never been put into words. This intrigued me. I had to find out more about her, but how?
As the day continues I keep an eye out for Isla. She is nowhere to be seen. “sir can I please use the bathroom?” I say to my biology teacher. He nods in reply. I walk to the toilet, as I get closer I can hear a distant cry. I wonder what’s going on? As I get closer I realise its coming from the bathroom. I stand at the door for a minute and prepare myself. I wonder who it is? I wonder what to say? I wonder what to do? I build up the confidence and walk in. The crying stops. “hello, anyone in here” I say. No reply. How strange I think to myself. “I hope your ok” I (add word that means say nicely).
“im ok” someone replys, I can hear them sniffle. The cubicle door creaks as someone opens it. To my surprise its isla. Butterflies instantly fill my stomach. Ive never felt like this before. I don’t know what to say or what to do. Weve never been this close together. “you just gonna sit there and stare” Isla snaps at me. Im paralised with nerves.
“no” I say shakily “what happened?”
“its nothing” isla replies as she pulls out a baggie from her pocked. She places one on her tounge
“you got any water”
“nah I don’t sorry”
Isla walks to the tap and takes a sip. “ I forgot to as, do you want one?’
“nah, that’s not really my thing” I reply.
“that’s cute, you’re a chicken” Isla replies laughing at me
My facial expression drops. She notices and says “theyre really not that bad. Are you sure you don’t want one?”
Everyone says don’t give into peer pressure. Ive never felt the need to do drugs before. But something inside of me is screaming at me to say yes. “I think ill be ok, what are they?” I say curiously,
“there some xans, they calm you down” she replies.
“I gotta go to class, bye” I say as I walk towards the door.
“bye tayla”
Im gobsmacked the biggest grin appears on my face, she knows my name
I place my headphones on and press play on my music. Change by Deftones starts playing. I basically skipped through the hallways back to my classroom. I cant believe she knows my name. I immediately open my laptop and start searching what are the effects of xans? What do xans do to you? What are the side effects of xans? All of this information is filling my brain like bees flying to a hive. Part of me couldn’t believe that I was actually considering doing drugs and the other half wants change. Of course it would only be once, and its for the experience. Ding ding ding.
The bell goes and I start packing up my stuff. “you look like your in a good mood today” says a voice behind me. I turn around its ethan one of my classmates.
“yeah, im always in a good mood” I chuckle, I continue to pack up my stuff and leave for lunch. I strut through the crowded hallway, head held high and a smile gleaming from my face. I was on a mission. A mission to find Isla. I walk around the school headphones on blast. Where would she be? I think to myself. I march towards the bathroom. The door creaks open.
“whats up tayla!”
“hey isla”
“did you come back for a xan?” she says scarcastically.
“yeah I did actually” I reply
“actual”
“yeah ill try it once, just for the experience”.
Isla passes me a pill. I place it in my mouth. It is sour. I walk to the tap, grab some water and swallowed the pill. “did you want to skip the rest of the day with me” says isla
“ive never skipped school before” I reply, I feel so small and innocent when im with her.

2023.04.02 07:05 Objective-Dance984 Evidence-based: Maximum five-minute read.

2023.04.02 07:03 Kyah1015 Oil filler cap

Hi guys i did an honest mistake So did my change oil myself and apparently i did not put the cap back on , then drive around for 4 miles then i open the hood then bam oils every where in the engine bay, tried to clean it with some clean rag to lessen the mess. I drove only in the street so i didn’t go above 30mph with 1-2k rpm. My concern is how bad is it for the engine My car is a civic 1.5 turbo got 12k miles on it. I drained her again to be safe just in case contaminants got inside the engine. I appreciate in advance to any one who helps. Thank you

2023.04.02 06:40 Revoluctor 2014 Accord won’t start until 2nd try

This recently started happening, I’ll push the button to start the car and it’ll make a weird noise, sounds kind of like a grinding/electrical shock/static noise, then the engine doesn’t start but everything else turns on. Car only starts after 2nd time I push the button. Problem only seems to happen at a cold start, as I tried to start the car a few times again for my brother to record the sound and it started right up with no problem.
Anyone know what the issue could be? Car is a 2014 Honda Accord V6 EX-L Coupe with around 120k miles. No check engine light.

2023.04.02 06:35 gastropod2023 Short commute, car seats…

I currently drive a Honda Civic. Just upgraded from infant car seat to a toddler car seat, realizing how small my car is. We are wanting to have another kid. Commute is currently about 5 miles and my workplace has electric charging stations… should I go fully EV or PHEV? Wanting an SUV and have been comparing Hyundai, Audi, Kia models.

2023.04.02 06:28 Inflation_benuts Is this a good deal on a 2022 civic SI?

Dealer near me is willing to sell me a 2022 civic si with 10,000kms for 40k CAD before taxes.
Vehicle comes with a CPO 7 year power train warranty and they have stated they'll throw in winter tires (cause Canada). I've talked them down from $44,000 CAD.
Would you guys take this deal? Or would you walk and find a better deal elsewhere? No idea if this is a great deal, terrible deal or meh.
Thanks!

2023.04.02 06:25 No_Click9053 AITA For putting my two weeks in and sending an entire two page essay to my boss when he asked why?

I (17 M) just put my two weeks in at my job. My job is Detailer at Young Honda. I’ve been working there for about 6 months now, and today, I decided that I had enough of not getting the proper treatment and respect from my higher ups.
To be more specific, I was tired of being kept passed my scheduled hours by the sales department and being blown off by them like I’m just their errand boy who’s sole purpose is to get something out the door for them. I was tired of not receiving new equipment as requested in previous shop meetings. Our materials and chemicals that we use have been there since our lead detailer was hired, which was a few years ago.
We’ve been told on numerous occasions that our department isn’t making enough money and thats why we cant get new equipment. I also decided that I was done with the disrespect shown to me daily by my manager. He purposefully waits until I take a few seconds to get some water to tell me to find something to do instead of “standing around”. I go into more detail in my essay I sent to my boss. I will paste it below.

Because I'm done with the awful pay. I'm done with the blatant and overt mistreatment from sales. I'm done with the outdated shop and detail equipment. I'm done with not bringing in enough money for you to buy us new equipment.
Now I can understand my situation with the pay, I understand with how little experience I have, it's hard for you to want to give me more per hour. However, I could be making +$6/hr. more at any other starting position detailer.
The mistreatment from sales came to a head yesterday. With the silver Silverado and the reason for Barrette to take it, or lack thereof, was bullshit, to say the least. I find the way you handled it with Dillon and Omar to be unappreciative and unprofessional. I understand they are Ben's cars but the response issued not only made Dillon and Omar feel unappreciated, but me and Mitchell too. I'm tired of being blown off by sales when its my time to leave. I'm scheduled to be off at seven and any time I try to leave they treat me like their errand boy and expect me to stay later so I can get something out the door for them while I make less than $40 per day, less with taxes, while they walk out with a fat commission.
Of course I'm obviously willing to do a sold at any given time of the day, but my schedule says seven. Dillon and Omar never have to check with sales if they can leave so I find it unfair that I'm kept passed my scheduled hours.
The outdated shop equipment is appalling. We've been told on numerous occasions that we can't get new detail equipment because we aren't bringing in enough money. Well how can that be? Are we not charging enough for details? Is someone not paying for their details? Maybe it's because sales pays for details once and then expects that we're gonna do it however many times they want it done without paying again. We barely got new squeegees and adhesive remover by the skin of our teeth, it feels like.

2023.04.02 06:14 who_is_milo Does chassis matter when choosing a Moto2 contract?

I'm torn between the pretty colors of MB Conveyors Speed Up and my love for Honda with Indemitsu Team Asia. How much of a difference is it between the Kalex and Boscoscuro chassis?

2023.04.02 06:07 Banter_Bait Soft Suspension Options?

I know there’s a plethora of forums and posts about suspension, but all I really see is a lot options for stiffer suspension and if I do find something for softer like a strut or spring it has negative reviews. Ideally I would like something soft like OEM without the bottoming out issue and that it doesn’t rattle or have major noise issues, I will upgrade later to something better but just need a set up that will last 2-3 years. My price range is at most 1000 but would prefer to keep it close to 500. I just want some help with options for a strut and spring combo that work well together that you feel like can be a good fit for what I want and I’ll do more research on them, thank you!

2023.04.02 05:39 throwaway2u40923834 AITA - Ghosted abusive mom (19F)

I feel rly bad when my mom sent me this but she has neglected me, verbally abused me, and made me raise myself/my sister. Is she gas lighting me or am I ungrateful? The message is as follows:
Translates to: "Mama loves you, I hope you can take care of your body and eat well. If you are free, take a photo for me, so I know you are safe. Last time, you promised to call us once a week, where did that go? I know you don't want to answer me because you want to punish me for some things.
Thinking back about when you were doing IB, I worried you did not get enough sleep, or slept too late for school so I temporarily switched off the wifi at home. I knew that was wrong and I did not respect you. I hope you can forgive my tough love for you.
Also, we need to communicate, what did I do to disrespect you? I hope you can tell me, I will say sorry to you. DO not use cold violence to treat family. And everything bad you hear about me is not true. That is not me, what makes you think its the true me? The me who almost gave up my life to give birth to you?
In October 2003, I took 18 hours to give birth to you. I bled continuously and needed to call a doctor for anaesthesia. I had to input 4 bags of blood, and I almost died, do I not love you enough? I am a greedy person? Just because I buy luxury brands, I'm considered greedy? So is a lifestyle also a sin?
I miscarried 4 times to give birth to you and your sister in 2001, 2002, 2009 and 2010. Just because you become independent, you don't love your mother anymore? I am really very hurt. I know previously when educating you guys, I was too strict, but isn't that what makes you, you today? My hard work became your hard work. Do not leave me alone, I am a person with blood, bones and a soul."

2023.04.02 05:37 hazaops Looking for a car to downgrade to, help me decide

Hey redditors, here I have a challenging one so help me with suggestions please, I overthink a lot lol.
Before anything RELIABILITY of the model and year are top priority. I think my car is worth about $4,000, I need something around that range. Toyota or Honda recommendations if possible.
I currently own a 2006 Lexus RX330 AWD 3.3L V6, super reliable daily and 200k+ miles, great SUV for my needs, but far too uneconomical with current gas prices now that my commute is 50+ miles total on a regular day, it takes 91 octane and even though I drive mostly highway, I get around 20mpgs. It is still a hard decision to make because it is fully equipped, leather seats, navigation, moon roof, heating seats, you name it, it has it for that generation. When it comes to the benefits of SUV I use the hatch but is not 100% necessary, it is still a plus, and clearance is ideal for when I go camping.
I previously had a Corolla 2007 CE IL 4 1.8L, did what it needed to do back when I lived closer to my job, but I needed something a tad more comfortable for my back since I drove a lot to school, currently debating if I should go back to that model and year or to a Matrix/Vibe because I got used to the hatch and height.
Other contestants have to be either Toyota/Honda around the same price range, so what would you choose if it had to be between a Corolla, Camry, Prius (just really hard to find and uneasy about finding a good first beater hybrid), Matrix, I know they will be reliable, but want to find a good sweet spot to not land too low of a downgrade.
Honda has my trust, but I am not very familiar with them, also I have heard that some civics from the similar years (2000-2010) had some engine cracking issues, maybe you can enlighten me about that.
Other than that I believe they will be very reliable and DIY friendly, I have read that some have achieved a crazy high mileage. Thanks for reading and sorry for having to make it this long, but I really need some insight before I pull the trigger and regret it.
