About time shortening: You might have noticed by now how time is to this modern society like gold. Everything we should want to preserve is time, it's something we can't get back.
Examples of this are: videos are presented in a shorter format, a minute (tiktok and the like on other apps), ads on apps are meant to last about 7 seconds, elevator pitch presentations are meant to last no more than 5 minutes, fast food to the cost of healthy food, songs longer than 3 minutes are too long for stations, etc..
This generates a shorter attention span in everyone, and it's difficult to meet a goal that keeps the best quality for such a short amout of time. It is expected that everyone should easily adapt to it, but this is not always the case, and it compromises aspects such as effectivity for efficiency.
The solution? To them, the solution is simply get medicine: everyone should simply be able to keep up, and if you don't, you're a word that starts with R and need fixing. This is not true, at some point most people will need help to keep up with what should be "normal", it's not.
Things are getting harder as not only compromises but also distractions or entertainment become so accessible and "less" time consuming. We should know by now this isn't true. Once you start it's harder to stop. Only adapt for what is necessary, but don't depend on an easy way to get dopamine.
We shouldn't need to pay to exit a society that isn't functional or sustainable: If we want to live a life that's independent from society we either have to conform to a much simpler and solitary lifestyle or get enough money to do so, but in the process of getting the money we still have to conform.
We pay either with the price of many amenities or with actual money. The world is evolving too fast for us humans to adapt to it, and each tmday the amount of people who need to take medicine to cope with what is supposed to be normal is increasing by a lot. The reason is because this life is simply not livable anymore. Everything is going too fast, the amount of information people are receiving through their phones has a span of around a minute or less. Attention is getting more and more disperse and entertainment enev harder to resist. All so we can ignore what is happening in front of our noses: life is not sustainable or healthy anymore. Animals are getting hormones injected to grow in a week what they should grow in 5 years. I could go on and on with this, but it would be pointless.

2023.06.11 00:02 Seal_Bron I'm looking for advice from people that go to more than one fitness studio in Edmonton
I like doing different types of exercises which will keep me motivated. I've tried joining the gym near my place but get bored shortly after getting the membership since the workout routine is too repetitive for me. Then I tried to get multiple memberships or passes from a few studios like yoga, dance, and boxing, but the cost added up, and the passes expired before I could use all of them.
For those of you who prefer a more dynamic workout routine, I'm hoping you can share your experiences with me. How do you do it without breaking the bank? Is there a cheaper way to do it?

It’s built not only for best-in-class launch copywriters… But for coaches, consultants, course creators, and ANYONE who stands to benefit from nailing down their launch and funnel copy faster and with more genuine impact. IN THIS TOP-SELLING PROGRAM, YOU’LL GET ACCESS TO: 2 “Core” Modules That will initiate you into the “Coaching The Conversion™ method, and how to leverage a new, more empowering definition of “direct response” that opens up the floodgates to greater intimacy, empathy, and conversions. 5 “Launch” Modules breaking down every single phase of your launch or funnel in full detail (including some you didn’t even know existed). You’ll learn exactly what’s at play during the Segmentation & Confirmation, Pre-Launch, Launch, Sales and Closing phases of your funnel and how to quickly craft the messaging that coaches your prospect into the final conversion in a powerful, non-sleazy way. 25+ Email Templates None of that BS “plug’n’play” or “swipe and deploy” stuff that shoehorns your message into lifeless boxes that robs it of all life and power. Instead, you’ll get FULL breakdowns and walkthroughs of the go-to templates I turn to over-and-over again in 6 and 7-figure launch campaigns. Meaning, you get to craft your OWN high-converting launch emails in about 25 minutes flat and fire them into ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign (or wtv you’re using) while your coffee’s still hot. Program #2 CTC Sales Pages (to master your long form sales page) This is it. It’s where the best paid copywriters, coaches and course marketers on the planet earn their keep. It’s where the conversion either happens or it doesn’t. In cold hard numbers that don’t care how many Clif bars you stress-ate in the process. It’s where the most admired online business owners transform interest, desire, and engagement and into what you actually want: Sales. So what is “it”? It’s your long-form sales page. And the truth is… most copywriters and marketers avoid long-form sales pages like the plague… treating it like a close-talking lepper with coffee breath… instead of the 24/7 salesperson your sales page – that final step in your marketing funnel – should be. So why do marketers (and even pro-level copywriters) avoid sales pages? Because writing a long-form sales page is intimidating AF. It’s the Night King of the Whitewalker army. It’s the Beef Wellington on Hell’s Kitchen. It’s the Lord Voldemort of your marketing funnel – aka the funnel asset that shall not be named. A long-form sales page is where you’ll spend dozens of hours writing THOUSANDS of words that will either confirm your claim as a top player in your space… Or will tell you with Gordon-Ramsay-esque candor that your marketing wasn’t as good as your business coach told you it was. There’s real pressure in that. But there’s even real-er payoff in being able to do it faster – and more profitably – than anyone else in your industry. A payoff that even affords you the right to make up words like real-er Confronting, yep? Conquerable. Absolutely. In CTC Sales Pages, you’ll go through the exact process I’ve used to write over twenty 6 and 7-figure sales pages for the likes of Amy Porterfield, Copyhackers, and many more. Program #3 & #4 Six Figure Emails & Seven Figure Emails (for even more email conversion badassery) Welcome to the “Johnnie Walker Blue” of our email template series. This is the premium blend for more advanced marketing palates. All pulled straight from my highest-performing launches for industry titans like Amy Porterfield, Todd Herman, Traffic & Funnels, and Copyhackers. What you’re getting are 13 advanced email templates that you can use in a pinch when you need to write a standalone sales email, a webinar invitation, a post-webinar replay, downsell, or flash sale. To be clear, these aren’t those sketchy and lifeless “swipe and deploy” templates you may have seen swimming around the shadier parts of the online marketing cesspool. These are loose, flexible templates that guide you through deep-dive masterclasses teaching you the advanced psychology behind each one. Meaning, you actually understand WHY they work, and are fully empowered to engineer them to best serve your audience. Program #5 Minimum Viable Launch 2.0 (to quickly rock profitable and lean email launches) We’ve taken the single most impactful part of 10x Launches; the part that countless students have credited with producing game-changing ROI in record time… And given it a fresh-for-2022 facelift. Not only will you be getting access to a stack of NEW templates that we’ve added to the stack based on repeated tests and real-world results. But we’ll be offering you the one-click automation uploads to bring the whole sequence straight into your ActiveCampaign to save you and your team about 5+ hours of heavy-duty integration time. Program #6 Application Funnel Amplifiers (for creating powerful pre-call enrollment experiences) Fact: The enrollment experience begins the moment your prospect books a call. If you mail it in for those 12-72 hours between when they book the call — and show up to it, you’re missing a golden opportunity to begin coaching the necessary transformations. In this brand new program, you’ll learn how we to consciously engineering your entire application experience to pre-empt objections, create magnetism, and stack the odds in favor of having a successful enrollment conversation You’ll get practical answers to: - When you should be transparent about your pricing BEFORE a sales call
- How to strategically structure your application questions in a way that actually coaches your pre-customer into your program (yes, the questions are copy)
- What to put on your booking confirmation page to create incredible momentum and a “point of no return” into your program
- What tools and systems we use to create a seamless application and booking experience
Program #7 Next-Level Automation & Optimization Stack (upcoming and ongoing automation tutorials) As the CTC Membership evolves, our resident Wizard, Philip Powis will be actively adding a library of importable one-click automations (into ActiveCampaign), leveraged software playbooks, and a running list of the most advanced (and cost effective) tools and systems that he recommends for fast-scaling course and coaching businesses. 2023.06.10 23:40 Bluejigsaw42 My cycle experience so far & how I received help!
Current applicant here! After going through my T20 university's premed advising and volunteer helpers at various training stages, I realized their advice was just way too generic and was not helpful in making me the competitive applicant I wanted to be. I finally went with an admissions consultant to put together my primary application and lemme tell you, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR GAME AND MENTALITY. Given the negative sentiment on this sub toward these services, I wanted to put an alternate perspective out there for those curious and who are lost/seeking help as I did.
The first thing I want to say is people def seek help/these kinds of services it's just that they tend to hide it/not speak about it. THERE IS NO GATEKEEPING HERE. I seriously wish someone just honestly told me earlier in the process how helpful it is to be coached and helped through this application process so I just wanted to share how my experience is/what I've realized as a current applicant!
- Time spent getting to know me, my goals, and reviewing my entire application resulted in a cohesive application package. My consultant spent the first couple sessions just getting to know me and my goals. We went over my entire application, including my school list, stats, LoRs, activities, etc before going through my personal statement. This allowed them to identify my "X" factor, which was something I did not even think to emphasize when I was planning it myself. They expertly created a narrative for me by telling a story through my activity descriptions and personal statement. We then strategized which other points we are going to use secondary essay prompts to get across. On the whole, because they got to know me, heard me talk, and read my writing, they preserved my voice throughout the application writing, but in a way that made it sound even better!! This last point was a major distinction from my volunteer reviewers, who all basically re-wrote my essay with their own writing styles which did not sound like my authentic self at all. When we submitted it I was extremely satisfied with the final product (check back in for results later this cycle!).
2. Their experience as a professional admissions counselor was evident relative to successful applicants on this sub with n=1 experience. I realized that most people volunteering their time, both online and in my university, are either fellow pre-meds or successful applicants with n=1 experience. It was clear from talking to my consultant that every case is different and a lot of common advice comes with exceptions. In addition, my consultant had a network of medical students and residents who kept him informed on their anecdotal results that he used to complement his own experience. To the point commonly made that "everything you need to know is on reddit and sdn," these sites are honestly tedious to navigate for those of us who don't spend excessive time on here. In other words, rather than reading 1000 posts to form a blurry picture of reliable information, I had certainty that I was talking to someone who knew their stuff and were credible.
3. My consultant went through this process recently and had incredible insight into how my writing would be interpreted by different types of readers. Related to point 1), my consultant explained to me how these applications are reviewed, including what types of people generally review them. This helped me to frame my writing in a way that was both understandable and sophisticated for a broad audience. Another point that came up is that a lot of the medical stories and terminology I used in my writing were incorrect, which is something I would not have known on my own. It seriously changes how you frame certain experiences after speaking with someone who is in the field.
5. Value. If you add up the cost of applying to med school & preparing for MCAT just one time, let alone doing either of those multiple times, as well as the associated opportunity cost of delaying training, paying a premium for maximizing your chances makes sense.
7. Would have started earlier if i'd known about it! I wish I had known about the services for underclassmen to help arrange ECs & build relationships and connections for future LoRs etc.
Disclaimer:
I totally understand that not everyone has the resources to afford this service and I'm not saying that this is the only way to have a successful cycle. But if you are able to afford it, I highly recommend it. The application process at the end of the day is really complex but the details and nuances that you include in your application really makes it stand out and gives you an edge. I could feel the difference in the strength of my application even after just submitting the primaries! If there's anyone else out there who is in the middle of your cycle or preparing to applying next year, and you're feeling lost, generic etc. please please give this a try, because so far it's been worth it for me and I'm tired of hearing people hiding and gatekeeping the professional help they've received.
My DMs are always open if you wanna chat/ask about anything in particular!!

2023.06.10 23:23 LIS1050010 An A-Z of incredible uses for everyday things
Did you know you can kill weeds with vodka? Remove stains on clothes with aspirin? Make jewellery gleam with tomato ketchup? Here are 40 surprising tips to save you time and money
and for ... aluminium cans To create a simple Chinese lantern, mark two lines around a clean empty can, about 2.5cm from the top and bottom. With a sharp craft knife, make vertical cuts about 1.5cm apart between the lines. Make a cut across the bottom of two adjacent strips to make an opening for a candle. Gently press down on the can to make the strips bend in the middle. Insert a tea-light through the opening, then tuck the cut ends of the opening strips inside the can. Finally attach a hanging loop. You can spray-paint the can before cutting it if you like.
and for ... apples If you've been heavy-handed with the salt shaker when cooking a soup or stew, simply drop a few apple (or potato) wedges into the pan. After cooking for another 10 minutes or so, remove the wedges, which will have absorbed the excess salt.
and for ... aspirin Before giving up hope of removing a stubborn perspiration stain from a shirt, try this. Crush two aspirins and mix the powder in 100ml warm water. Soak the stained part of the garment in the solution for two to three hours.
B is for ... bread You can remove most dirty or greasy fingerprints from painted walls by rubbing the area with a slice of white bread. Bread does a good job of cleaning nonwashable wallpaper as well. First cut off the crusts to minimise the chance of scratching the paper.
and for ... baby oil Buff up a dull-looking stainless steel sink by rubbing it down with a few drops of baby oil on a soft clean cloth. Rub dry with a towel and repeat if necessary. This is also a terrific way to remove stains on the chrome trim of kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures.
and for ... bicarbonate of soda Even the smelliest shoe or trainer is no match for the power of bicarbonate of soda. Liberally sprinkle powder in the offending loafer or laceup and let it sit overnight. Discard the powder in the morning. (Be careful with leather shoes as repeated applications can dry them out.)
C is for ... crayons Crayons make an excellent filler for small gouges or holes in resilient flooring. Select a colour that closely matches the floor. Melt the crayon in the microwave on medium power over a piece of greaseproof paper, until you have a pliant glob of colour. With a plastic or putty knife, fill the hole. You can use a softened crayon to cover even quite deep scratches on wooden furniture.
and for ... carpet remnants Place a series of carpet offcuts upside down and cover them with bark mulch or straw for a weed-free garden path. Use smaller scraps as mulch around your vegetable garden.
and for ... coffee grounds They're full of nutrients that acid-loving plants crave. Save them to fertilise rose bushes, azaleas, rhododendrons, evergreens and camellias. It's better to use grounds from a drip coffeemaker than the boiled grounds from a percolator as the drip grounds are richer in nitrogen.
and for ... compact discs Use them as garden/driveway reflectors. Drill small holes into a CD and screw it ito a gatepost or stake. Install several of them to mark out a night-time path to your front door.
and for ... correction fluid Dab small nicks on household appliances with correction fluid. Once it dries, cover your repair with clear nail polish for protection.
D is for ... dental floss Secure a button permanently with dental floss - it's much stronger than thread. Make hardwearing repairs to outdoor items. Because dental floss is resilient but fine, it is an ideal replacement for thread when you are repairing an umbrella, tent or rucksack.
E is for ... emery board If a favourite pair of suede shoes have become stained and tired, an emery board can revive them. Rub the stain lightly with the emery board, and then hold the shoe over the steam from a kettle to remove the stain. This technique will work for suede clothing too.
F is for ... fabric softener End clinging dust on the TV. To eliminate the static that attracts dust, dampen a duster with a little fabric softener straight from the bottle.
and for ... freezers Place candles in the freezer for at least two hours before burning. They will last longer.
G is for ... golfing equipment If a screw won't grip because its hole has become too large, dip the tip of a golf tee in wood glue and tap the tee into the hole. Cut the tee flush with a craft knife. When the glue dries, you can drill a new pilot hole in the same spot.
H is for ... hairspray To keep a child's priceless work of art at its very best before you put it on the pinboard or fridge door, preserve it with hairspray to help it last longer. This works especially well on unstable chalk or pastel pictures as it stops them from getting smudged so easily.
I is for ... ice cube trays Here's what to do with a half-drunk bottle of red or white wine. Freeze the wine into cubes that can be used later in pasta sauces, casseroles or stews.
and for ... ice cubes If you're putting sealant around the bath, run an ice cube over it to get a nice even bead - it will never stick.
J is for ... jars If you've taken a break from gardening, help your gloves dry out by pulling each one over the bottom of an empty jar. Stand the jar upside down on a radiator or hot-air vent. Warm air will fill the jar and dry damp clothing in an instant.
K is for ... ketchup Keeps silver jewellery sparkling. Soak it in a small bowl of ketchup for a few minutes. If it has a tooled or detailed surface, use an old toothbrush to work ketchup into the crevices. To avoid damaging the silver, don't leave the ketchup on longer than necessary. Rinse and dry.
L is for ... lemons Get rid of tough stains on marble. Cut a lemon in half, dip the exposed flesh in some table salt and rub it vigorously on the stain. You will be amazed how well it works.
and for ... ladders A straight ladder or front part of a stepladder makes a shallow planter with ready-made sections that look appealing filled with annuals, herbs or salad greens. After a couple of years of contact with soil, a wooden ladder will decompose.
M is for ... milk cartons Keep drinks cold at a barbecue or party with ice blocks made from empty milk cartons. Rinse them, fill them with water and put them in the freezer. Peel away the container when you're ready to put them in the punch bowl. If you intend to use them as cooler blocks, leave the container in place.
N is for ... nail varnish Preserve the important information on labels with a coat of clear varnish. Keep a shirt in good shape by putting a drop of clear varnish on the thread in the buttons. It prevents fraying and loss of buttons.
and for ... newspaper Slow-ripen tomatoes that are still on the vine in autumn. Wrap each one in a couple of sheets of newspaper and then store them in airtight containers inside a dark cabinet or cupboard at room temperature. Check each one every three or four days; they will eventually ripen to perfection.
O is for ... olive oil Make your own furniture polish. Combine two parts olive oil with one part lemon juice or white vinegar in a clean recycled spray bottle, shake it up and squirt it on. Leave the mixture on for a minute or two, then wipe off with a clean cloth or paper towel. If you're in a hurry, apply olive oil straight from the bottle on to a paper towel. Wipe off any oil that remains with another towel.
and for ... oatmeal Add luxury to a regular bath. All you need is 200g oatmeal and your favourite scented oil. Grind the oatmeal in a blender, put it in a cheesecloth bag, add a few drops of scent and suspend the bag under the running water as you fill your bathtub.
and for ... oven cleaner To remove paint or varnish from wooden or metal furniture, try oven cleaner. It costs less than commercial strippers and is easier to apply (if you spray it). After applying, scrub off the old paint with a wire brush. Neutralise the stripped surface with vinegar, then wash it off with water. Allow to dry. Warning: never use oven cleaner on antique or expensive furnishings - it may darken wood or discolour metal.
P is for ... plastic bottles Create a drip irrigator for plants. Cut a large hole in the bottom of a bottle, then drill two to five tiny (1.5mm) holes in or around the cap. Bury the closed bottles upside down about three-quarters submerged beneath the soil near the plants you need to water, and fill with water through the hole on top. Refill as needed.
R is for ... rubber flip-flops Slip a rubber flip-flop on to your hand and rub carpets and rugs in the direction of the pile. Any pet hair will form into balls that can then be vacuumed up. This works well on upholstery, too, including car seats.
S is for ... sand Fill a large bucket with builder's sand and pour in about a litre of clean motor oil. Plunge spades, hoes, rakes and other tools into the sand a few times to clean and lubricate them. To prevent rust, you can leave the tool blades in the sand for storage.
and for ... salt Watermarks from damp glasses or bottles left on a wooden surface are unattractive. Make them disappear by mixing one teaspoon of salt with a few drops of water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste on to the ring with a soft cloth or sponge until the spot is gone. Restore the lustre with furniture polish.
T is for ... tennis balls Give yourself a relaxing and therapeutic back massage: fill a long tube-shaped sock with a few tennis balls, tie the end and stretch the massager around your back as you would a towel after a shower.
and for ... tights To find lost small objects, cut the leg off an old pair of tights, making sure the toe is intact and pull it over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner hose. Secure with a rubber band. Turn on the vacuum and you will soon find your valuable attached to your homemade filter.
U is for ... umbrellas Make an instant trellis. Remove the fabric from an old umbrella and insert the handle into the ground to support climbing vines such as clematis. The umbrella's shape, covered with flowers, will look terrific in the garden.
V is for ... vodka For a quick and easy weedkiller, mix 30ml vodka, a few drops of washing-up liquid and 400ml water in a spray bottle. Apply at midday on a sunny day to weeds growing in direct sunlight because alcohol breaks down the waxy cuticle covering on leaves, leaving them susceptible to dehydration. It won't work in shady spots.
is for ... WD40 For fast relief from a bee or wasp sting, spray WD-40 directly on the bite. It will soothe the pain at once.
Y is for ... yoghurt Put 200ml plain active-culture yoghurt into a blender, along with a handful of moss and about 200ml water. Blend for about 30 seconds. Use a paintbrush to spread the mixture wherever you want moss to grow - between the cracks of a stone path, on the sides of flowerpots - as long as the spot is cool and shady. Keep misting the moss with water until it is established.
Z is for . . . zips Ever lost your car keys in the sand at the seaside? Stitch a small zipped pocket to one corner of the underside of your beach towel, just big enough for keys, sunglasses and maybe a few coins.
And if you're feeling really bold ... Four bizarre problem-solving suggestions
· If you want to post a fragile item to a friend, wrap the item in disposable nappies before sealing the package. You can be sure your gift will arrive in one piece.
· To get chewing gum out of hair, apply some peanut butter to the matted gum and hair and rub the gum until it comes out. Your child's hair may smell like peanut butter until you wash it, but it is a better solution than having to cut the gum out.
· Wash lettuce in a washing machine. If you are expecting lots of people for lunch, place one pillowcase inside another. Fill the inside case with lettuce leaves. Close with string or a rubber band and throw in the washing machine. Now run the rinse and spin cycle.
· Get the comfort of a salon treatment when giving yourself a home pedicure. Just place marshmallows between your toes to separate them before you apply nail polish.

2023.06.10 22:29 Accomplished_Shock68 Moving RV - No Truck
I just bought an RV for me and my boyfriend to live in. We weren't worried about having a truck to pull it because it was just going to be sitting for a while anyway. We had the people who sold it to us deliver it to the yard but we realized we had them put it too far out to make installing the electrical cost effective. Now we need it to be moved 50 or so feet closer to the house and we're trying to figure out how to move it. If I bought a Good Sam Roadside Assistance membership would they have truck that can move it for me? The RV is a fifth wheel so the proper equipment for that would be necessary.

Absolutely. Best Bros (Mei Suruga 🍎 & Baliyan Akki ♠️)
VS
Miya Yotsuba 🍀 & Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara 💃
“Right There!” The Best Bros (
Mei Suruga & Baliyan Akki) are one of the top teams of Ichigaya (and beyond, for that matter). “Big Apple Girl” Mei Suruga & the Zephyr of Ichigaya, Baliyan Akki, are always focused on the next achievement. Mei Suruga is trick pin specialist, torture expert, and all around menace in the ring. She has fantastic technical ability, and while the known Goblin might be a...bit rotten...she is honestly one of the most gifted talents out there! While Mei is the Ace of Gatoh Move, Akki is the Ace of ChocoPro. Baliyan Akki sets the bar for quality in Ichigaya. With striking features to match his surgical striking in ring, effortless (and intensely impactful) high flying techniques that will take your breath away, and silky smooth submissions (that will take theirs!), Akki will engrave himself in your memory. While they might be the opener this time, it won’t be long until this elite team finds glory once again. Regardless of the challenge, the Ace & the Apple will always deliver!
The Powerhouse Pair reunites! Rookie supernova and Ichigaya’s Lucky Charm,
Miya Yotsuba, has been dazzling viewers lately with her surprising level of skill and determination! The mint-geared Rookie has a full-power style that pumps up the audience. Her slams and modified versions of her goblin teacher’s skills are absolutely fantastic. She is always growing through challenges way beyond her current level, so this grim task will be yet another step in her rapid ascent. She’ll be once again aided by fellow heavy striking enthusiast
Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara! Otoki is ChocoPro’s “Comaneci” shouting straight forward fighter. She’s sometimes showing off her comedic chops along side Anton in several forms of Black Comaneci, but outside of that brutalizing foes is her bread and butter! This kick-boxing, Judo throwing, Fourth Gen berserker can go toe to toe with the rest of the roster: even her seniors! Putting these two together fuels their respective berserk states, so this should be a blast. Let’s go, Lucky Comaneci!
Shin Suzuki 🍙 & Minoru Fujita 🐦
VS
Masa Takanashi 🍶 & Sayaka Obihiro 💙
Shin Suzuki has finally established himself among the best of the best in ChocoPro. This spunky technician found his true balance along side Choun Shiryu, but his overall power level has increased with his confidence. Expect his excellent fundamentals and incredible timing to lead this acrobat toward victory in any situation. While his ability is unquestionable, he will be testing that new attitude when taking on his ideal wrestler (who happens to be one of the champs he got the belt from!). Shin will be joined by
Minoru Fujita, the exalted Vice Principle and fantastic pick up partner. Known for his accolades in singles, deathmatches, and especially tags (
also his angelic singing voice), Fujita was once away from the Chocolate Square due to injury, but he’s finally back into the normal rotation! This bird loving brawler is still a terror with endless endurance...even if he looks a bit different now. His brawler style and high level of technicality make him a fierce (but also rotten) opponent. How will this rare pairing have improved with Shin’s rise to the top?
The Chef and the Drunk, together again!
Sayaka Obihiro and
Masa Takanashi are one of the most Veteran combinations you can get in ChocoPro! While both have been around since this new offshoot of Gatoh Move started, fate prevented them from teaming up often. (Also Obihiro being both a Chef and occasional member of the UMA Monster Invaders…) Obi is a charismatic scoundrel, able to do flashy pinning techniques that seem like magic. Her chops are on the same level as her boss and teacher, “the Oni” Emi Sakura! She brings with her a raw joy that is very engaging, and it helps that her move set is so flashy...not to mention that fiery gear! Masa on the other hand is pretty rotten, a counter-fighter with a knack for annoying his opponents. The Drunken Monkey's style is very technical and crisp, but he isn't afraid to go dirty! Don't be fooled by his laid back nature and swaying movements...Masa is a real threat. Between Masa's trickery and Obi's personality, this combination is a surefire thrill ride. Though Masa’s grudge about losing the belts in such a manner (due to Chrissy B’s injury) might lead to a bit more spice than you’re expecting...
Hagane Shinno ⚔️ (c)
VS
Chie Koishikawa 🏵️
Winter is cold and unforgiving.
Hagane Shinno represents that freezing season with more than just his icy demeanor! This absolutely brutal striker has been nearly invincible in the series so far, having never been bested in singles combat! His solemn ferocity makes him an instant favorite among new fans...(with Hagane surprising most with his exceptional technical skill, emotionless demeanor, and explosive fighting style) while his byronic nature pairs well with his otherworldly beauty (canonically, thanks Emi!). This mysterious eccentric perfectionist has come out of his shell quite a bit since he paired with Chie Koishikawa in EGG TART, the cheery energy machine having even drawn a smile out of him! Hagane has had a long career, one that has been guided by his own stubborn & unflinching decisions. Every action is decisive. Every decision is final. While his unwavering will is one of the things that aligns him the most with Chie, there is an issue. He has decided that if EGG TART is going to progress and become a true team on the same level, he must force Chie to grow out of the “protected” and stop being her Guardian. He has granted her a challenge for his Big Blue Belt to test her growth, to see if she is truly up to the task of true synergy. This forced increase in chemistry will be brutal, but fruitful for them both regardless of outcome.
Chie Koishikawa has endless energy, boundless potential, and a destiny beyond what any of us can fathom. But is she capable of seizing that unique strength? Her charisma is unquestionable, the Frantic Fencer warming the hearts of fans across the world with her emotional outbursts and reckless style. Her desire is rock solid, her passion burning out of her far beyond what her body can take (even giving the former tag champions one of their greatest defenses). But there will always be another Mountain to climb. Baliyan Akki learned this when it came for him, but even Akki possesses something Chie does not: perfect synergy with his tag partner. Chie wants to ascend, she wants to be able to bring down stronger opponents both on her own and as a team with Hagane. But all of their battles have ended with her being the weak link, the downfall of the team. She has been training harder and harder, pushing herself further and further...but is it enough? Chie has finally earned a Super Asia Title shot, but in a unique way: She must prove herself in this match to be her Guardian’s equal. To stand beside him, instead of behind him. Frequently Asked Questions:
“What is this?”
ChocoPro is a free online promotion run by AEW's Emi Sakura, that takes place in the legendary Ichigaya Chocolate Square! It features a steady pace of live Episode releases, fan interaction, season long story arcs, and much more! A place where the turnbuckles are replaced with 14th floor windows, the ropes are often replaced with fans, unforgiving walls provide creative avenues for skills otherwise unthinkable, and you can take solace in knowing that the referees usually do nothing. While it might be a shocking change at first, the intensity and storytelling will leave you wanting more.
“Why are they fighting in ____?”
Short answer is that it is a cost effective, unique venue with a better availability schedule and allows the roster access for training. Emi Sakura has been using this place for a long time, and you might be surprised at some of the names that have used it (even outside of ChocoPro!). There are a few in-ring Episodes and Gatoh Move has in ring shows with crowds on the YouTube channel. Think of it like the Hart Dungeon but as a promotion, if that helps!
”What are the rules?”
While special match stipulations will usually be explained before the respective matches, the general rules of ChocoPro are simple. Pins only count on the Chocolate Mat and are not broken by the edge or Wall. Submissions usually only count on the Chocolate Mat, and ARE broken by reaching the edge or wall (sometimes ceiling...). Double pins and Double submissions are legal (and encouraged) in ChocoPro Tag matches, meaning cohesive teams will always have the advantage! Count Outs only exist if specified, since many matches stray from the comfort of the Chocolate Square into the streets (and the rest of the building itself!) There is a Time Limit for each bout (based on card placement and importance) and the Referee has discretion (even if they tend to do nothing most of the time!). Every Ref is different, some have different levels of bias and speed.
“How can I support them?”
Watch the show! Even if you can't see it live, the views matter! Like & Subscribe! You can join the Channel's membership for different tiers of perks...but also, you can buy single episode Sponsorship, Digital autographed photos, and more
on their shop site as well as purchase shirts from
PWTees (which features some great options!) If you'd like to donate or purchase a main wall sponsorship, you can via
Paypal or
Patreon...and don't forget to cheer for your favorites! (especially if you want to do a superchat!)
”How come there aren’t a lot of comments on the threads?”
ChocoPro is a YouTube show, meaning the discourse happens live...in the chat! Those that comment in the threads on here tend to do so in order to help new viewers that might be intimidated by the fast moving chat. Don’t be afraid to just dive in though, the community is friendly.
“Why are you posting this here? / Are you paid for this?”
This is a wrestling forum, and I'm trying to broaden the horizons of others! There is a lot of good wrestling out there...Plus growing the fan base means more people for me to joke around with! I honestly do believe this is what a lot of fans are looking for, even if it is too different for some! But different tastes are good. Variety is the spice of life. This is a labor of love (it really doesn't take that long) considering how much work they do to put on so many shows...for free!
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me on here or on Twitter, where I’m somehow still sick! ChocoPro is Energetic!

2023.06.10 21:31 Borzadatan Teacher and Life-long Democrat, switching to Republican party because I think Republicans hate teachers less than Democrats.
This is my opinion. I'm curious if you can relate, so I'm putting this out there. I'm a relatively new teacher, I live in California, I work for a public school district, and I am switching my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican for the first time in my entire life solely because I am so utterly disgusted with the way Democrats treat teachers, and I have come to the conclusion that Republicans hate teachers less than Democrats do. As mentioned, I'm a relatively new teacher. I've taught for a few years now, have received only positive evaluations, and the entire school community has really embraced me. It's a really nice feeling, and I'm proud of my efforts. I really enjoy helping students, and find the job, overall, very challenging, and also, at times, very intellectually rewarding. I'm not entirely sure if I'll remain a teacher or not, over the long haul, given the low pay, other potentially more rewarding, interesting employment opportunities, the lack of interest in focusing on Academic Learning, particularly among Democrats, the current climate in our schools, an overall lack of professional support and respect from some students, parents, and administrators, and considering how I may wish to spend my time. I've completed new teacher "induction," and have taken the many, many, many, many overtly bureaucratic, costly barriers that Democrats have championed, including: a Teacher Credentialing program, two semesters of unpaid Student Teaching hours, the CSET, both CalTPA1 and CalTPA2, the RICA, and New Teacher Induction. These are all requirements to earn a teaching credential in California. All of this has cost a great deal of time and money, in an economy where inflation has spiked, and the cost of living continues to rapidly rise. Unless and until you've actually had to endure teacher credentialing requirements in California, it's really difficult to convey how restrictive, stupid, costly, bureaucratic, and completely unhelpful the entire process really is. To say the whole process feels like a complete waste of time and money is a huge understatement. Here's a short summary of what each of these barriers entails (failure to pass literally any of these means you can't earn a teaching credential in California): Teacher Credentialing Program: 1-year university level program costing thousands of dollars, and an investment of time involving numerous classes on various theoretical aspects of teaching. Some of it was interesting, most of it felt like being held hostage. Unpaid Student Teaching Hours: Two school semesters of unpaid work requiring me to shadow a classroom teacher, where I also had to prepare and adminster classroom plans and lessons, meet with my mentor teacher, and prepare written analysis of those plans. Much of it felt like an exercise in box checking. Again, this was a one-year unpaid commitment. Did I say it was UNPAID? CSET High-stakes standardized general subject multiple choice and short answer tests, supposedly to gauge minimum proficiency. Costs a hundred dollars for each test attempt, whether you pass or fail. Felt like a high stakes test designed to make money for testing companies. (I'm not sure, but I believe the CSET may now have waiver options, but I don't know the details of how restrictive available waiver options may or may not be.) CalTPA1 and CalTPA2 Mind-numbingly, completely useless bureaucratic high-stakes standardized assessments filled to the brim with education speak and terminology that I have never used and will never use in the classroom. Candidates prepare by reading a test booklet that frequently makes contradictory statements and assertions, and lacks clear, presentable information that can be deduced on a Prima Facie basis. When the candidate seeks to find meaningful definitions that would dilineate what the test administrators are actually looking for, the booklet provides vague information, at best. The test administrators don't provide any resources outside of this simple booklet. None whatsoever. Literally. The worst part of these assessments is that, when a candidate fails, they aren't provided any feedback as to why they failed, and how a candidate could remedy their failure. Instead, the candidate is provided with a "Condition Code" which is supposed to indicate where the deficiency lies -- but, in reality, the provided code doesn't yield any information that a candidate could reasonably use to understand why the test administrators made a failure determination. In my university credentialing program, I spoke with many students who failed, and who did not know why they were determined to have failed - that is, what exact criteria was used to make such a determination. Even after having spoken with our college professors, most still did not understand why the test administrators had made such a determination. I was present where many of these conversations between professors and students took place, and most often, the professors would say that the test administrators had made a subjective determination. The professors even sometimes said they did not understand why some assessment submissions were accepted while others were rejected. In other words, the failure determination was completely arbitrary, and not rooted in any objective, measurable manner. This high stakes test costs $150 for each attempt, whether a candidate passes or not. Huge money making opportunity for the testing company. RICA High-stakes standardized multiple choice and short answer tests that ask test takers to choose the best strategy among several teaching reading strategies that could be used in a variety of classroom settings, in order to supposedly show that the candidate understands how to best serve students learning how to read. Among the questions, oftentimes several of the various strategies could be helpful for student(s) if administered in the real world -- however, given the high stakes nature of the test -- unless the candidate chooses the exact absolute "best" strategy -- and there is only one correct answer according to the test administrators -- the candidate may fail the test. Candidates must pass several different tests, and each test costs $57 for each attempt. Two Years of "New Teacher Induction" Two years of regular meetings after school with my mentor teacher, writing analysis of classroom lesson plans and student performance. There was an additional requirement to attend periodic Professional Development meetings and Teacher Induction Meetings after school, during the school year. While it could possibly be argued that this provided an opportunity to bond with my mentor teacher, and/or fellow new teachers, I achieved and would have achieved all of that without this requirement, and the entire experience felt like a huge time suck and exercise in box checking. None of this was paid training. Who pushes all of the above? Democrats. These are their best ideas on how to help bridge the achievement gap. They've been doing this for years, if not decades. What's astounding is that these standards have been developed by the absolute highest of "education experts". These are their best ideas? Some are politicians. Some are "education reformers." Some work for non-profits. Some earn several hundred thousand dollars per year, to write research reports and lobby politicians on which "best teaching practices" they should adopt. Don't believe me? Look at their salaries and backgrounds. I have. As non-profits, with 501(c)3 tax exempt status, their income information is publicly accessible. Astoundingly, some "leaders" earn well over $400,000 per year. In my opinion, with salaries like these , they should be required to be registered as for profit organizations. Being an "education leader" can be a very lucrative business model, and should be taxed as such. Some have taught for five minutes before leaving the classroom, so they can claim to have been a classroom teacher. They seem to really enjoy writing about and giving speeches celebrating how we have to act with a sense of urgency, you know, because it's all about the children. Many of these individuals and organizations are connected with Democratic policy and lawmakers. Oh, and the best part -- they love children so much that they do everything possible to stay as far away from them as possible. In other words, they like to say they have a different role, that they can make more of an impact -- you know -- OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM. They like to raise money to fund "research studies" backing up the supposed science of all of this -- yet, what's unmistakeable is, they have a clear bias and agenda, and there's no objectively reliable, measurement tool in which to determine teacher effectiveness. There is absolutely an undeniable subjective aspect to determining teacher effectiveness. If I am incorrect in making such an assertion, what standardized assessment tool exists today that is used to measure teacher effectiveness, that has been reliably proven - over time - to be an objectively effective measurement tool used to gauge teacher effectiveness? If such a study exists supporting a particular assessment tool, has the study been subject to and adhered to Double Blind Peer Review guidelines, to reduce the chance of bias? The answer is no and no. In other words, they claim that these standards help prepare teachers, but their determinations are entirely subjective, and they have a clear economic interest in pushing these proposals. In my opinion, they make these claims because such messaging resonates with Democratic politicians and voters, and that helps keep the donor dollars rolling in. The wheel greases itself. Not a bad business model if you want to make alot of money. What seems to happen with education policy is that every few years education "leaders" write and create "newer and better" standards to help better prepare teachers. They talk about replacing various barriers, which they do as they end up creating new barriers that are just as ridiculous, unhelpful, and also huge time sucks and money grifting opportunities for "education leaders". This doesn't mean Republicans get a clear pass, of course. I don't like that Republicans dislike unions. While I do think some unions are useless for members, generally, union membership leads to better wages and working conditions, and, in my opinion, teachers, at least, are still underpaid. But, to me, that's the only plus that Democrats have. Other than that, Republicans generally want to ease these types of restrictive, costly, useless credentialing requirements. And, sure, while Republicans want to do silly, harmful things like banning some books, and I'm not in favor of that, all of the above is still far much more harmful to teachers and schools than book banning. And through all of this, Democrats don't even bother to acknowledge that teachers are human beings who can and should have interests and lives outside of the classroom, and how important it is to balance personal and work life, in order to be happy. Instead, teachers are treated as cogs on a wheel, to be cranked and turned as much as they want, without regard to impact. Meanwhile, in the minds of Democrats, this is all okay because they acknowledge how important we are when they give their same, boring predictable speeches. And while Republicans also want to ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT), I can live with that, as I don't teach CRT anyway (and I don't know anybody who teaches CRT). In other words, where Democrats like to create obstacles to prevent me from spending time, you know, actually teaching students, at least Republicans seem to want to let me do my job as an educator. Just with fewer books. That's a better option, in my view. Worse yet, Democrats are supposedly the ones who celebrate teachers. With friends like these, who needs enemies? Many Democratic leaders have also been strong champions of Charter Schools. Keeping my options open, when I was looking, I interviewed with several charter schools, and charter school chains, and had strong interest among several. From what I saw, when exploring options, the biggest difference between traditional public schools and publicly funded, privately run charter schools is that the charters require teachers to work longer hours for lower pay, and with zero professional protections in the event issues arise. They can fire you at any time, for any reason, without recourse, and can direct you to stay at school until any hour, if they so chose. All of the charters I interviewed with expressed that there were issues with student discipline (just like traditional public schools also expressed, when I was looking), and none of their publicly available test data indicated any higher degree of student achievement (considering that test scores are currently the barometer that most people like to use to measure student achievement). Given options, why would I want to choose to work longer hours for lower pay, without a contract and contractual protections, especially when you consider that student outcomes were essentially the same? Considering all of the above efforts, at what other cost is the promotion of the above standards and efforts to "improve" our schools? What is the opportunity cost? Where is parental accountability? Student accountability? Administrative accountability? Student discipline in schools? Any effort to provide smaller class sizes and higher wages? Any effort to teach critical-thinking skills? Any effort to acknowledge that teachers should have healthy, well-balanced lives outside of the classroom? These proposals have all been discarded by the Democratic Party who instead have chosen to wholly focus on "teacher accountability." In fact, both Democrats and Republicans love to push that narrative. Gee, with efforts like these, how could there possibly be a teacher shortage? How could there possibly be an achievement gap? All of this would be a joke if it didn't actually harm the efforts of people who actually want to help students -- you know -- teachers. Possibly the worst part of all of the above is that, not only are all these barriers counter-productive in terms of serving the needs of students, in all likelihood, they also serve to discourage professionals who may otherwise have the skillset to become successful educators - but decide not to take a second look because of the vast bureaucratic waste of time and income loss they would have to subject themselves to. Do we need standards? Of course. We have existing standards already in place that we could use. For example, college degrees from accredited educational institutions, and criminal background checks. Apparently that's too low a bar for "education reformers." They want a piece of the pie - they want their cut, and they want to feel like they've done something to improve schools. So they enact more standards. Then, after a few years, and conditions haven't improved, they repackage and re-sell their latest well-funded shiny objects, claiming that they've now figured out the secret sauce. Then they give a few speeches congratulating each other, and go out to dinner. A few years later, the whole process repeats itself, and everybody acts like the newest, latest proposals have never been tried before. Talk about short-attention span theatre. Don't expect any of this to change. Which is all why I've decided to vote Republican from now on. Democratic leaders have failed teachers in California. I know we're a blue state so, relatively, my vote doesn't really matter. But I find Democratic policies towards public education to be beyond disgusting, and they're definitely not getting my support. Teachers and non-teachers alike, what do you think? Curious if it's just me who feels this way.

2023.06.10 21:10 SpaceSugarGlider Connecting Wilson/Davis & Elizondo: AAWSAP, AARO, and Zodiac
This post is long, controversial people and ideas appear below, I speculate at points, and there's a lot of acronyms, so a summary up-front:
The Wilson/Davis meeting was real, the program Admiral Wilson told Dr. Davis about was real. It is the same program--Zodiac--that Lue Elizondo and Harry Reid ran afoul of in 2009, pointed in its direction by Dr. Davis. The program is so powerful in the US DoD that it managed to do what all organizations do when they feel threatened by a competitor: it "consumed" the UAPTF (successor to Harry Reid et al's AAWSAP), and re-org'd it ultimately as "AARO", to serve a role once filled by Project Blue Book: a public UFO debunking group to make the subject appear mundane. AARO, unknown perhaps to some or all working for it, is the public relations wing of the control group behind the cover-up, or is itself now an active arm of it. AARO should not be trusted. The control group guards the gateway to a reality wilder than imagination. Intro
In May 2022 the United States held hearings on UFOs (9-min highlights).
In those proceedings, representatives of AOIMSG (later re-designated "AARO"):
...appeared publicly representing the then-recently re-organized program, succeeding the UAP Task Force.
The two gentlemen claimed no knowledge of any UFO program/s within the US Government in the years between AAWSAP (which officially ran from 2008-2012, and continued in some fashion through 2017 before being succeeded by the UAPTF) and the USAF's Project Blue Book (which closed in 1969).
They claimed no knowledge of well-known UFO incidents (which would have been in the files they inherited from UAPTF), claimed no communications attempts had been sent to unknown fliers in US airspace (Implies that unknowns--including Russian or Chinese--can enter and exit US airspace without challenge), showed a short video of a 'dot' in the sky claiming it was all they had to go on, and so on. Christopher Mellon said at the time: https://i.redd.it/8kr2wz2859091.jpg
But Mr. Moultrie's and Mr. Bray's testimony did not match information previously released, not limited to but specifically by Luis Elizondo, who once ran AAWSAP/AATIP: the predecessor to UAPTF, the program AOIMSG/AARO re-org'd from and the papers and materials of which they had in their possession.
We know that AAWSAP/AATIP and UAPTF shared at least some personnel (Dr. Eric Davis was a consultant to both programs, for instance), it is reasonable to think there was a continuity of data between programs as well, meaning that AAWSAP's data became UAPTF's, and in turn: AOIMSG/AARO's. Which leads me to ask why the representatives of AOIMSG/AARO seemed ignorant of data they should have had. I don't expect the people at the top to know everything off the tops of their heads, but one would think they'd have their resident nerds brief them before going before Congress.
So what did AAWSAP/AATIP know?
Though former director Luis Elizondo has often asked us to "read between the lines", limited in what he can publicly say due to the Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) he's bound by, his message becomes clearer when events are laid out in order, dots between them connected.
When comparing information from AAWSAP and Elizondo to the Wilson/Davis notes, parallels emerge and details bolster each other.
This has implications for the legitimacy of AOIMSG/AARO.
Part 1: Admiral Thomas Wilson meets "the gatekeepers"
The notes of the 2002 meeting between Admiral Thomas Wilson and Dr. Eric Davis:
https://web.archive.org/web/20190609152124/https://imgur.com/a/ggIFTfQ
Uploaded in 2019 by UFO researcher Grant Cameron, the Wilson/Davis notes were found in the personal papers of late NASA astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, after he passed in 2016.
The notes had been rumored to exist for over a decade prior. Edgar Mitchell discussed the story behind them on CNN's "Larry King Live" in 2008: https://youtu.be/unEzDmiHKic?t=80 (time-stamped)
The notes are one of the most controversial cases to appear in ufology in decades, with credible supporting and skeptical arguments alike. No less than John Greenewald Jr. (of The Black Vault) has speculated the notes were written for a film or TV show.
https://www.theblackvault.com/casefiles/the-admiral-wilson-leak-an-analysis/
I ask your indulgence as I respectfully disagree with Mr. Greenewald below.
The Wilson/Davis notes contend that Admiral Thomas Wilson (US Navy, now retired) met Dr. Eric Davis (of Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies, NIDS, AAWSAP, and a consultant for UAPTF) in Las Vegas in 2002 for a confidential meeting at Davis's request. Davis tooks notes during the meeting, and those notes are what Grant Cameron eventually published online.
Admiral Wilson allegedly told Dr. Davis in that meeting about the admiral's attempt circa 1997 to gain access to a reverse-engineering program managed by at least one large American private defense contractor, and controlled via an unusual governmental Special Access Program, or SAP.
SAPs can serve as "umbrellas" for USAPs: Unacknowledged Special Access programs, which can themselves be umbrellas for even more secretive programs, programs that ultimately even the SAP Oversight Commitee has little or no window into. Like a "Russian doll" of secrecy.
In the mid-1990s, Dr. Steven Greer (of CSETI) obtained a document dated 28 July 1991, said to be leaked from the Nellis Test & Training Range (NTTR) in Nevada:
https://web.archive.org/web/20230205091457/https://siriusdisclosure.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/NRO-Doc.pdf
This document listed a number of group code-names, warning each to suspend visible operations in light of an impending civilian UFO-researcher event in the nearby town of Rachel, Nevada, just to the north of the NTTR.
Dr. Greer, at that time in the mid-'90s working alongside Dr. Edgar Mitchell (Mitchell later distanced himself from Greer), met with Admiral Wilson around 1996, and showed him that allegedly leaked document from the NTTR.
Dr. Greer asked the admiral to see if he could, using his clearances and access, find anything about any of the code names on that list.
Two of the names on that list are MAJ and MAJI Ops. If legitimate, this would lend credence to the idea of some group with a name similar to "MAJIC" or "Majestic": extremely loaded terms.
Admiral Wilson searched the Pentagon Records Group, and found at least one of the names on that list (we don't know which): it was a Special Access Program within what was at that time the OUSDAT (at that time, the Office of the Under-Secretary of Defense for Acquisitions and Technology).
From the Wilson/Davis notes page 7, Wilson speaking to Davis in 2002:
They told me of a special projects record group not belonging to usual SAP - a special subset of the unacknowledged/carve-outs/waived programs - not belonging to usual SAP divisions as organized in '94 by Perry himself - set apart from rest but buried/covered by conventional SAPs
The admiral was concerned that the program he found should have been something he was aware of, if not in control of. But he had no prior knowledge of it at all.
He reached out to its leaders, and was grudgingly granted a meeting with three people who called themselves the gatekeepers, who reluctantly told him they represented a reverse-engineering program: that they had in their possession at least one intact vehicle "not made by human hands".
They were mostly concerned with how he found them and what he wanted. When he said he needed to be vetted in, they saw to it that the admiral was rebuffed and threatened--with loss of rank and pension--if he pursued the matter further.
Admiral Wilson has been contacted multiple times over the years since and has denied the Wilson/Davis notes each time, as he promised he would within the notes themselves.
In a 2020 interview with the NY Post's Steven Greenstreet, Dr. Eric Davis awkwardly refused to confirm or deny the meeting and notes. Judge for yourself, here is that clip, he reads to me as a man cornered:
https://np.reddit.com/UFOs/comments/pvwhsi/heres_the_deleted_video_of_eric_davis_talking/
Next I'm going to get into AAWSAP, and it's worth noting I feel that Dr. Davis was a consultant to that program. He reported to Dr. Hal Puthoff, who himself reported to Lue Elizondo.
https://web.archive.org/web/20211214190334/https://www.ufojoe.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/DavisHalLue.png (L to R: Puthoff, Elizondo, and Davis)
As all these people worked together and shared security clearances, they were freer to talk about certain topics than Dr. Davis appears in the video with Mr. Greenstreet above. This potentially has implications, for how and from where Elizondo might know where to look for "certain things".
Part 2: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the mysterious "other" UFO group
2008: AAWSAP's beginnings have been gone over many times, I'll summarize only. The New York Times article from December 2017 that revealed the program is here.
A brief summary of the origins of the program can be had here, in a somewhat neutral tone.
The program grew out of discussions between Las Vegas entrepreneur Robert Bigelow and the late Senator Harry Reid, and initially was led by Dr. James Lacatski with a focus on studying unexplained phenomena, including UFOs.
When Dr. Lacatski left the group, former counter-intel officer Luis Elizondo was brought in to lead the program.
I'm going to put aside the fact Mr. Elizondo met the head of a US Government UFO program that ran in the 1980s, which already makes AOIMSG/AARO's assertion there was no program between Blue Book and AAWSAP false. Mr. Moultrie and Mr. Bray had only to ask Elizondo if he knew of any other groups, but they apparently were incurious.
2009: Mr. Elizondo, the fresh director of AAWSAP, bumped up against a different group (not the one from the 1980s) within the US Department of Defense--a Special Access Program of some kind--which he and Sen. Harry Reid had reason to believe held deep secrets about the same kinds of subjects AAWSAP was looking into, specifically non-human-created technologies.
Not being a Special Access Program themselves, AAWSAP had no access to this other group's personnel, data, or materials.
Senator Reid, who was at the time the US Senate Majority Leader and one of the trio of senators (along with Ted Stevens and Daniel Inouye) who'd gotten AAWSAP initially funded, tried to get AAWSAP (as "AATIP") re-designated a Special Access Program itself:
https://web.archive.org/web/20220515090232/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/47/Reid_letter_2009_1532565293943_49621615_ver1.0.pdf
This would have granted specific AAWSAP personnel (as AATIP) the appropriate clearances to be vetted into this strange SAP they'd run into.
Senator Reid was rebuffed, and he, along with AAWSAP/AATIP personnel--including Mr. Elizondo and Dr. Hal Puthoff--was denied access to the other group and its materials. They shut out not only Elizondo (a trusted and decorated military veteran who already held top-secret clearances), but the Majority Leader of the United States Senate.
https://youtu.be/FMBpthoATFk?t=779
George Knapp (investigative journalist: KLAS Las Vegas, MysteryWire, Weaponized):
What was the intention, with making it (AAWSAP) into a Special Access Program?
Sen. Reid:
Well there are certain things that we had learned in our work, that there were places that we needed to go, that people had certain things, equipment, and other stuff, that we needed to see, and you couldn't do it unless you got, clearance from the Pentagon, and they wouldn't give it to us.
Knapp:
It suggests that there are other studies or programs, that might shed light on this mystery?
Sen. Reid:
Other programs, that have been done, and information they have, including different um, pieces of evidence.
Knapp:
...Do you know what those pieces are?
Sen. Reid:
No... um, I've just only heard rumors, and I'm not going to get into rumors.
Part 3: UAPTF, to AOIMSG, to AARO -- Stealing back the narrative
In 2012, AAWSAP was refused additional funding and officially closed, though the program continued in some fashion until Elizondo's resignation from the US Government and his joining Tom DeLonge's To The Stars in 2017.
After Elizondo went public, the US Government effort that had been AAWSAP/AATIP was ultimately reborn as the UAP Task Force (UAPTF), which eventually counted among its members UFO whistleblower David Grusch.
Under To The Stars, the current public UFO disclosure advocacy effort began, with Christopher Mellon acquiring and leaking three now-famous videos of UFOs recorded by US Navy personnel, the release of History Channel's Unidentified series, and a steady stream of press: the tone of which began to take the subject more seriously.
This began to apply pressure from the outside to the subject: by re-framing it as an aerospace integrity, safety, and national security issue, credible people like Mellon poked the US Government asking, "Why won't you take this seriously?"
This led to increasing serious interest in the topic not only by the public but by vocal members of the US Congress like Mike Gallagher and Tim Burchett, by respected journalists like Ross Coulthart. Stigma was chipped away at, new reporting avenues were added for US military personnel; progress seemed to be being made.
In response, I think the group Elizondo and Reid, and before them I believe Admiral Wilson, had encountered, did what any organization that feels another could become a threat to it does: they bought out the competition, consuming the UAPTF and making it their own.
In a December 2021 article for The Hill, Elizondo and Mellon each voiced concern over the re-org and move of the now former-UAPTF to AOIMSG (later re-branded AARO) under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSD(I&S)):
https://web.archive.org/web/20230205090354/https://thehill.com/opinion/international/583575-a-pentagon-ufo-cover-up-ex-officials-speak-out/
Elizondo:
"...If we want 70 more years of secrecy on this topic, then OUSD(I&S) is the perfect place to put it. They’ve had four years so far, and we have little in the way of efforts serving the public interest."
Mellon:
"...the inability of OUSD(I&S) to engage effectively on the [UFO] issue is why so little has changed or been accomplished since 2004."
With the newly-branded AARO in their pocket, the control group regained the upper hand. Instead of doing away with a government UFO office entirely, they would control the one that existed and through it shape the public narrative, getting disinformation back on track.
Part 4: Who is this "other" UFO program?
For decades there has been talk of an organization operating behind the scenes within the US Government on the UFO problem, from Project Aquarius, to the "men in black", to the Majestic 12.
In May 2021 UFO researcher Project Unity tweeted this brief exchange between UFO researchehistorian Richard Dolan and Lue Elizondo.
https://web.archive.org/web/20211029230827/https://twitter.com/TheProjectUnity/status/1395692929151291397
Richard Dolan: "Have you ever come across evidence that supports the reality of an organization, whether we call it MJ-12 or Zodiac?"
Lue Elizondo: "Sure, absolutely"
Richard Dolan: "Okay so I want to ask about Zodiac, I've got reasons for asking, is this something you have come across?"
Lue Elizondo: "Yes"
Richard Dolan: "So can I ask you what you can say about that?"
Lue Elizondo: "I cannot".
Like the devil of Earth myths, they've "had so many names".
They may no longer go by "Zodiac", but they almost certainly did as recently as 2009, in order for Elizondo to know that name, unless he heard it from Dr. Eric Davis (possible, even likely).
Zodiac is almost certainly the program Sen. Harry Reid tried (and failed) to get his people vetted into. I believe it's the same group (or a related silo) which denied Admiral Wilson access to their reverse-engineering program in 1997.
This group is either the current version of whatever it was Admiral Wilson found via the Pentagon Records Group, or it sits beneath it in hierarchy. Dr. Davis is likely the person who pointed Lue Elizondo in its direction, when Elizondo took charge of AAWSAP and started snooping around internally.
Zodiac is either the umbrella group itself, or one of several sibling programs (Unacknowledged SAPs) nested within a master SAP.
If it's a sub-program, it might be the reverse-engineering wing, compartmentalized apart from other silos. The other big candidate in this case could be crash retrieval.
The reverse-engineering program places recovered non-human technologies in private corporations (exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests), access to which is limited to strict "bigot lists" and protected by extremely punishing NDAs.
Progress on reverse-engineering is glacial if anything, but we will be shocked to learn what things we use in daily life have come from or were influenced by alien technologies.
People have been ruined or buried in unmarked graves for breaking ranks with the program/s. Favored aerospace and technology corporations have benefited from the relationship while their competitors have been bought out or ruined.
Military application of technologies takes all precedence.
Crash retrieval sounds straight-forward but I bet it has a lot of nuances, a lot of special skills and equipment. A global quick-response infrastructure is implied (meaning groups ready to deploy across the globe at all times. We don't want people flying out of Wright-Pat to get to a crash in say Australia, we'd want a team with the right equipment already in say Guam, ready to activate), with skilled/trained personnel and equipment standing by at all hours. The field personnel may be military or ex-military. National borders would seem to mean little and essentially violating other countries' territories a required part of the job.
Reverse-engineering, and crash retrievals, are likely not the only silos of the group.
Joe Murgia ("UFO Joe") interviewed Commander Will Miller, who is referenced in the Wilson/Davis notes.
https://web.archive.org/web/20221201140901/https://www.ufojoe.net/will-miller-complete/
Joe Murgia: When you say “Control Group” like you did in Leslie Kean’s book, do you mean an MJ-12-like group?
Will Miller: Yes, I’d opine that there are probably multiple “Control Groups”, each one covering certain aspects of the UFO/ETI issue; i.e. one probably covering crash retrievals & analysis, another covering collecting & analyzing reports of “encounters,” another related to overall oversight, etc. That’s just within DoD. Additionally, there are a limited # of DoD “contractors” who even have the technological capability to work this issue to include analysis, security, etc.
The other silos under the master umbrella program, compartmentalized apart from each other, could look like...
(This is me speculating wildly on what these other programs could contain information on, and should be taken with enormous grains of salt):
- Biological remains, and what can be gleaned from them on the environments the beings evolved in; cell-structure, nutritional requirements, reproduction, ancestry/evolutionary history. Weapons applications of non-terrestrial biology.
- Intelligence gathering on off-world organizations. Spying on those watching humanity, maybe even using stolen alien technology to do so. Implications of using ET tech to spy on terrestrial competitors, both corporate and national. Implications if any of our visitors turn out to be biologically human (meaning their ancestors were taken from Earth and a viable breeding population of humans is kept part of the alien society even now, identical to us, perfect spies).
- Organic/machine interfaces - anything from physical control consoles, to mind/machine interfaces, to biologically-integrated technologies, purpose-grown artificial/synthetic life-forms, genetic engineering.
- Xeno-linguistics and communications. Alien languages: spoken, written, computemachine language/s, and maybe things we don't have an analogue for (IE the oft-reported telepathy, either naturally evolved or technologically achieved).
- Exo-politics - the nature of alien command and social structures (or lack thereof) and initiatives; policies on dealing with native life-forms (like us).
- Terrestrial foreign power intelligence gathering - what do other countries know/have and what are they doing with it? Given the reasons for the cover-up (weaponization), this would seem of paramount importance to the overall program.
- Recovered craft: testing and potential use thereof. As astonished as I feel writing this... have we taken recovered or reverse-engineered craft off-world ourselves? Do we use them for terrestrial espionage? A single alien craft, if useable by humans at all, could be a game-changing military asset, so I doubt this... but I can't call it "off the table".
- New (to us) physics - imagine what someone capable of traversing the space between star systems (or "parallel realities" if one prefers) knows about the nature of reality, that we humans do not. As the late Carl Sagan once said, "To bake an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe." Weaponization of ideas learned from alien understanding of physics (IE microwave or beam weaponry, gravity manipulation to achieve force fields, time distortions, or targeted gravitational disruptions).
- Materials science - compounds or isotopes not found in the Sol system or even guessed at. Atomic or sub-atomic level engineering. Imagine trying to understand objects that came from industrial-sized fabricators with integrated particle acceleration capable of "3-D printing" anything from hand-held devices to entire starships in minutes using nothing but hydrogen and helium as building blocks, engineering from the sub-atomic on up with integrated quantum-computing in every atom of the device. The possibilities, as astounding as I find it, of 3-D printing custom-engineered living beings or exact duplicates of existing organisms.
- Exo-computational devices and databases - consider what might be gleaned from understanding the alien version of a "computer". Imagine the data stored within: star charts, maps back to the point of origin or colonies and to every other inhabited biosphere within thousands of light years (or on a multi-galactic scale), medical data, historical data, entertainment like music or visuals, 3-D data storage including imagery and sounds from Earth's own past and/or countless other worlds under their observation. Not to mention insights into the minds of the people who made the technology: how they think and process data, at what speed, etc.
...and god knows what else.
Imagine if there's a silo that holds alien medical technologies: treatments or cures for diseases. The ability to re-grow lost limbs, to repair spinal damage or lost eyesight/hearing. Even if not applicable (yet) to human biology, the ideas that could come from this if shared with the medical community across Earth... all brought here incidentally in a "first-aid kit" aboard someone else's spacecraft. In defense of Zodiac, imagine the terrible weaponization potential.
Could we ever forgive these people for keeping secrets like this? For the crimes they've committed to do so? Even if they did what they felt was needed to protect national interests, at some point the base fact that we're not alone should belong to everyone. Because it really feels like what started as an attempt to hide technologies that could be weaponized if a competitor figured them out first has turned into "hiding everything we've done to hide that technology, and we can't mention aliens because that begs the question how did they get here, which brings us back to the technology", tech they don't know how to make more of.
Conclusion: Following "Lue's Clues", thoughts on and fear of the control group, disinformation, and questions
There is implication in information from Elizondo and Dr. Davis that there's been a clandestine organization controlling the UFO issue operating within the US Department of Defense for decades, a group which has repeatedly shielded itself from prying eyes. What they can't shield they reduce through propaganda to ridicule. If not in name or historical fact, this may as well be the Majestic 12 of UFO lore.
I write that name with a heavy heart, and with fear. People on these forums always snipe, "That's just what you want to believe," or, "Nobody wants to believe more than me, but c'mon".
I read those replies and every time think, "Do you know what you're saying? Have you read the Majestic documents? They're terrifying. Of course I don't want it to be real! I want it to be fake, like Robert Hastings said!" The reality they suggest is horrifying to me.
I've recoiled from, fled from, the possibility of the Majestic 12 for more than 30 years, since I first read the initial papers in Timothy Good's Above Top Secret in late 1989.
I with great trepidation read Stanton Friedman's TOP SECRET/MAJIC, hoping for some fatal flaw. I've read with interest (and often unease) these past few years everything Harry_is_white_hot--probably the lead researcher currently working on the topic--has put out about MJ-12. I keep hoping for that fatal flaw in the basic concept of a shadowy "men in black"-type group like this. No conspiracy can be that big and remain hidden, surely.
But objective reality is not influenced by what we want or would find more comfortable to be true; it simply is what it is.
That's not to say everything in the Majestic documents is real (I still hope to god it's not; they literally contain a directive on when to execute stranded alien beings to preserve secrecy), but the fact of a real organization filling that role--whatever its real history is--is for me no longer escapable after David Grusch.
I've had suspicions about AARO since its inception as AOIMSG, since the warning from Elizondo and Mellon about OUSD(I&S) in The Hill.
The re-org of UAPTF into AARO seems to me an attempt to regain control of the narrative after people like Elizondo and Mellon began to apply public pressure on the US Government to disclose what it knows about UFOs. What they can't keep secret, they ridicule: a powerful social tool.
For two decades, the US Air Force used Project Blue Book to gaslight not only the American populace, but the news media and the world, into thinking there was no "there" there in UFOs. That those of us interested in the topic were insane, to be socially ostracized, shamed, and shunned.
Blue Book was, it was later revealed by its former scientific advisor Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a public relations and propaganda program.
AARO is in its purpose no different, and will be the first place the news media turns to explain to them what is going on with the unfolding David Grusch story. Well, AARO or Neil DeGrasse-Tyson. Maybe Bill Nye.
The Grusch story is already being attached to the sensational Las Vegas "aliens in the backyard" tale - see ABC News Chicago, complete with X-files music! - scroll down the article to see them mention Mr. Grusch. Zodiac's tendrils in the press are twitching, and not even that much: just poke the bias toward mundanity they've nurtured in us for decades.
As the infamous quote goes:
"There's nothing to hide?"
"There's nothing to hide at all."
I don't know everything above and I'm absolutely very obviously speculating in places, on things I would once never have considered possible and which looked absolutely wild to my eyes even as I wrote them. I may stumble in some places but I think I've headed in the direction Lue Elizondo, Chris Mellon, Dr. Eric Davis, and others have pointed us in.
Mr. Elizondo's information, passed in pieces due to his NDAs, has been widely mocked as "Lue's Clues": deliberately mysterious and obfuscated. He's been derided as a grifter and con-artist, he's been doxxed, he's provided what he can at enormous personal cost to himself and his family. Stringing the information and hints that he's put out together, the picture not only becomes more detailed, it implies a conspiracy which in and of itself will be an ontological shock, beyond which lies even more shock, after shock, after shock.
If a nobody like me can read what Elizondo's getting at, why can't Mr. Moultrie, or Mr. Bray, or Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick for that matter? Do they not at least have questions? Are they so incurious? This is literally their job, at least on paper.
David Grusch has briefed AARO personnel on his extraordinary findings, and AARO still says, "We have no credible/verifiable indication of non-human intelligence." Saying little, they speak volumes.
The implications make me feel, appropriately I think: "somber".
I'll end with some brief thoughts from Lue Elizondo:

2023.06.10 20:58 Flashfall Sharing some thoughts before the sub goes dark
Since this sub and some
4000+ others are going dark in 2 days in protest of probably
this site's stupidest decision ever, I figure this is probably the last time I'll get to share my pointless thoughts on this game here, so may as well. It doesn't really matter anymore if it's full of awful takes and people just downvote and insult me in the comments, it's been a grand time and I'll miss seeing posts and having discussions over this dEaD gAmE.
Construction
- Starting off strong, construction was a mistake. While it did have potential and had some cool moments, it was ultimately a distraction from the parts of the game that most of the playerbase actually interacted with. Even now with the latest updates to it, I feel like it's still a waste of time and effort on the devs' part and I'd have preferred if that time went into something like improving existing base designs instead.
Base/Map Design
- Speaking of base design, where the hell are those shielded garages outside of Oshur and containment sites? Such a small thing would have gone a long way towards improving fight longevity and yet it just never happened.
- Containment sites themselves are a mixed bag of design as well. Ultimately you're trying to funnel players into three long hallways with 2 areas for them to spawn/approach from, the defender lower spawns and the attacker lower spawns or the buses parked just above. Because everyone's funneled like this, the pop ends up highly concentrated in one hallway or the other in a sort of "wave" pattern and people usually won't spread out aside from a handful of folks sitting on point to prevent ghost flips. I'd have liked to see more ways for attackers and defenders alike to get in and out of the lower levels, make use of the base's design to add more verticality to the action and break up the very predictable movement.
- Oshur is just a tremendous waste of potential in terms of design as well. The water and boats are just utterly squandered for some reason, despite the whole continent being designed for them. Why are the islands almost entirely cliffs that make it impossible for boats to actually engage? Where are the docks, the coves, rivers, straits, channels cutting through bases? Boats should be the centerpoint of logistics in Oshur, instead of just the most convenient means of capturing points that are just floating in the middle of the ocean with some ruins underneath.
- Underwater combat could have been interesting as an addition to regular combat, but when you try to limit it to being its own thing by making the only bases with underwater points, ENTIRELY UNDERWATER, you just end up with slower gimped combat. Why the hell don't island bases have sections that go down to the water, and have flooded areas? It's not like you didn't get to see what that might have been like, you flooded Indar in test and that was pretty neat.
Vehicles
- Vehicle play has been neglected. I'm not talking about nerfs or CAI, I'm talking about just making them a more integral part of the game. There are not enough vehicles for vehicle play and vehicle vs vehicle combat to stand out because vehicles largely lack purpose. When I get to a base to contest and I don't have a sundy, I ditch the vehicle because I can contribute more on my feet than I can in my vehicle. Unless the friendly sundies die, I don't really have much of an impetus to bring another vehicle. I also don't want to bring a vehicle from the neighboring base just to kill enemy vehicles that might be farming infantry because a) those enemy vehicles aren't really contributing to the cap, and b) my vehicle won't either. GIVE PEOPLE A REASON TO WANT TO PULL VEHICLES MORE OFTEN AND YOU WILL SEE MORE VEHICLES FIGHTING EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF JUST FARMING INFANTRY.
- As for what might motivate people to do that, here's an idea - take the existing CTF concept, and apply it to vehicles, but instead of all the finicky flag counts and resetting, just shift the base timer every time a flag is delivered. Place the flag and delivery points on the edges of the base where infantry can have some influence but are at a notable disadvantage to vehicles. This makes it so that vehicles can significantly supplement a base cap but aren't mandatory, and they have to move around instead of just sitting still. This can apply to air units as well at bases that have landing pads, and maybe we'd see more amateur pilots and have a healthier airgame.
- I also believe we can improve the vehicle logistics game by adding a new option to the defense slot of transports (valk, sundy, gal, ant?) which enables players within a certain radius of the vehicle to spawn directly into it, but with a longer timer (like 10 seconds longer than a parked bus). This does not make logistics specialist implant obsolete, as that can still work for non-transports, and also does not require sacrificing the defense slot. It also offers no benefit for squadplay, as squadmates can already spawn directly into squad transports. However, it should be a boon for solo players offering logistics or trying to catch a ride. Air transports hovering above bases to act as air spawns can also make for juicy targets for pilots, so there's another thing to encourage more vehicle and air play.
- Suppose I should go over vehicle balance briefly too, though that's less important than the above points IMO. We're going to focus one two key ideas here: no long-range imprecise AI, and more focus on armor vs armor.
- For that first idea, the outright removal of HESH. It's been used as makeshift artillery for its entire existence, even when it was HE. Rocket pods, Dusters, and AI noseguns should have a significant increase in spread to drastically decrease their effectiveness at distance. Shorter range explosive weapons like Bulldog get a pass because their range makes them easier to retaliate against (assuming you have the means to do so), and non-explosive AI like Kobalts are fine.
- For the second idea, an increase in mobility and weapon velocities across the board, as well as new main cannons to replace HESH because there's so few of those and they're still severely lacking in variety. With faster vehicles and more accurate weapons, we want to encourage people to be attacking on the move rather than hunkering down in place and slowly feeling out the right altitude for their shots. As for the MBT cannon replacements, here is a suggestion for each (not NSO you're fine) focused on ease of use over DPS:
- NC gets a guided shell with the same damage profile as HEAT but the reload speed and velocity of AP. Shell is laser guided so it'll adjust towards the cursor, rather than camera-guided like the Phoenix rocket, which is kind of awkward to use and probably impossible to control at this velocity.
- TR gets a 60mm autocannon with a 8 round mag and low spread/bloom per shot. Imagine a weaker, long-range version of the Viper intended for an accurate, sustained barrage of fire.
- VS gets a proper laser repeater. 400 RPM or something stupid like that, piss for damage to offset the ROF, low COF because it's bloody lasers. This thing should be doing strafing runs on other tanks, or firing at aircraft and making a hell of a lightshow. Laser brrrrrrrrrt.
Infantry
- Infiltrator cloak should be a separate device you need to equip and activate to use. In that same slot is a new gadget, the nanite disruptor. Think the dildar, but instead of spotting enemies moving through, it slowly drains the shields and energy of enemies in its area, and also clears spots. For all the folks that don't abuse cloak, the cloak change won't be too bad. For the folks that decide they'd rather not cloak at all anymore, have a new and useful gadget.
- Heavies are mostly fine right now. The other classes have enough tools at their disposal now to offset the overshield's strength IMO. It really does just come down to getting good at clicking heads at this point.
- AMRs seem to be a point of contention, and I get people not being particularly happy about engineers getting BASRs, even if they aren't great at anti-infantry stats wise. To offset this, why not try a different approach - make them hipfire only ala MCG/Thumper, lower the HS mult to 1.5x, and raise the base damage so most of them (3 for DAGR since it's a quick boi) can kill infantry with 2 bodyshots but not 1 headshot. A rifle of that caliber would be hard as hell to shoulder and fire accurately anyway. Now it's a worse slug pump shotgun instead of a worse bolt-action.
- MAXes have already seen their share of nerfs, but I'd still like to see them be shifted more towards a support role over an offensive one. Remove all the AI options from the right arm and add a special grenade launcher in its stead that can fire the class-specific grenades of the Punisher SMG. Cure nades, repair nades, havoc nades, etc. It's a big hit to its infantry offensive capability but adds a LOT of utility already, and you can probably keep yourself alive a lot longer if you just spam repair nades at your feet lol.
- Revive grenades are too strong and spammy. I'd just limit the max amount you can carry to 2, even with grenade bandolier.
Monetization
- Let's face it, RPG/DBG is not good at monetizing this game. Yeah there's the bundles which whales and diehards will buy, but even those are becoming less attractive year after year. This is only a baseless assumption, but I'd guess that membership is what generates most of the revenue from this game. 10-15 bucks a month is a hefty subscription cost, and that's mostly just to skip queues. If the membership was for Planetside alone and not everything in DBG's roster, it'd be really damn hard to justify charging those prices.
- The Depot just doesn't get enough updates. It's stale. Now and then a fantastic modeller like d0ku or steve will pull through and give us some gorgeous cosmetics like the new armor sets or the sunderer armadillo skin (my beloved), but that's too few and far between.
- It feels like this game attempted to make its own version of a season/battle pass with the campaigns, which were interesting, but the implementation of the missions for them had major flaws and it was also too quick and easy to complete when other players weren't purposely making the missions impossible to do. If campaign progression was tied more to faction/community-wide milestones that could be reached through regular gameplay, like x bases captured or x resources gathered, it would be less of a pain in the ass and still be a special event that motivated people to play more. I think something like this could work well for this game, and to monetize it in a non-predatory way you could lock some cosmetic items in the campaign currency shop to season pass owners or members only.

2023.06.10 20:52 AutoModerator [Genkicourses.site] [Get] RY Schwartz – Coaching The Conversion CTC Circle (10/2022) - Full Course Download
| ➡️ https://www.genkicourses.site/product/ry-schwartz-coaching-the-conversion-ctc-circle-10-2022/⬅️ Get the course here: [Genkicourses.site] [Get] RY Schwartz – Coaching The Conversion CTC Circle (10/2022) - Full Course Download What You Get: Program #1 CTC Launches (to master your launch and funnel sequences) 10X Launches is the first copywriting program fully engineered to speed up the execution and amplify your results of your emails no matter what kind of funnel or launch strategy you’re rolling out.
2023.06.10 20:38 SplinterLips Portland renters, this is what a quarter of a million dollar campaign looks like. Vote this Tuesday June 13th!
| Out here in District 5, landlords are inundating our neighborhood with their garbage. I have received four mailers, a door hanger, three text messages, numerous Instagram ads, and countless YouTube ads. Today, I received this printed letter (disguised as handwritten) from a so-called "small landlord" with the words paid for by The Committee to "Improve" Rent Control. This campaign is condescending and insulting to people’s intelligence. It's funny how similar this campaign is to CMP's for November’s state ballot initiative. All these purchases corporate campaigns look the same. They are attempting to win by targeting the homeowners of D5. Renters, please make sure to get out and vote this Tuesday, June 13th. submitted by SplinterLips to portlandme [link] [comments] |
2023.06.10 20:35 Exifile How much can I sell my car for?
It's a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2WD 2.7L
It has a new transmission, all fluids have been kept up, ice cold AC, new front brake rotors and pads, as well as a recently replaced right CV axle.
The major things that are wrong with it: the exhaust manifold is cracked (it's an exhaust leak so sounds very puffy), the drivers side window is stuck up (rotor is broke), the gas meter is not functioning and thus, the check engine light is on (check engine light is also on due to the exhaust leak I believe. The gas meter not working is apparently a common problem with this specific year and model). The CV axles are going to be a bit worn on the car but overall it is my reliable daily driver.
Mileage is 167,000. I'd be asking at max, $3,300 and at least $2,500.
I haven't looked into the cost of getting the exhaust manifold fixed. No other major problems though. I live in Arizona so transmissions are required here to pass. This vehicle requires a transmission test next year, so the exhaust leak will need to be fixed before then.

2023.06.10 19:58 P0MP3I1 DCore: The Observatory - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: A Feeling For Home
After a few hours and weighing a few more of my options I found a suitable place for my core, on top of a shelf!
To be a bit more specific a shelf resting in the furthest room of my dungeon, the room itself had no windows and only one door making it the most defensible option. Moving it seems simple enough now that I had Tama. She seems to listen to orders more directly than the cats that the spawner continuously makes.
The graceful scion drops from the old stool she had been napping on and carefully took the core delicately between her teeth and set off to the designated room.
I did not that as Tama padded through the hallway a number of other cats took formation behind her, despite not having been ordered to. It quickly became clear Tama herself was directing them, as with a few muffled meows and a firm stomp of her paw the cats quickly set to work dragging a few bits of old cloth and ruined cotton into onto the shelf. Once the improvised bed was finished Tama leapt onto my new perch and gently laid my core in the center of the bedding.
"Excellent work Tama!" I praised towards her. Even if I wasn't sure she heard me word for word, I could tell she felt the praise as she took a second to pose.
The next order of business was categorizing what information I had, and prioritizing my next few steps for expanding my 'facilities.'
My cats and slugs have tags that list them as denizens, the frogs and beetles are labeled as invaders. Their interactions are my source of major income, with mana being drawn in whenever my units defeat theirs. An important note however is that nothing seems to be lost when my units are killed, but it was pretty clear to see in a more fast paced situation when all hands are needed, the cost of rapidly fielding replacement units would add up quickly.
I also have access to a few traps that can be scattered around my controlled zones.
-
Bile Sack
Detectability - High
Activation Chance - Moderate
When an intruder approaches, the sack will expand and burst after a short moment. Intruders will be covered in sticky bile and slowed.
-
The idea of covering some poor sap who blunders into this place with sticky bile didn't exactly sit right with me, but my sense of self preservation and long ingrained RTS tactics told me adding a few of these would be necessary. For just a small trickle of mana each I put a few of the grotesque pods around the door to my core, as well as a few in the hallway for good measure.
My next trap I would do without, security be damned.
-
Vile Ichor
Detectability - Low
Passive Presence
An opaque purple ichor will ooze from nearby walls and crevices and coat the ground. This ichor is highly flammable and slippery.
-
I want this place to eventually become a library or study of some kind, not a death trap! So for now I snub the rather malicious trap and return my focus back to my dungeon.
Having watched the cats deal with frog infestation in my upper floors, I felt a bit guilty when I looked back down to the slugs. The gooey little mollusk soldiers, keeping the seemingly growing swarms of beetles at bay.
The cost for a Slug Scion was still rather high, but the actual cost to upgrade the spawner was just a little less so. But seeing the little things try so hard, I bite the bullet and make the purchase. The reaction was a bit more volatile than just spawning Tama however. The coral like hive of the slugs snapped and crackled as it grew slightly, the slugs it began to produce were also quite a bit bigger than before, now about the size of a soda can.
The new slugs were also a little bit faster and they surged into the line of beetles with a vigor. Were before there was a rickety stalemate, now the slugs were driving back the chitinous swarms with ease! The large slugs water jets just splatter even the large beetles in one shot now, their smaller kin following in close groups around them and pick off the stragglers.
The small counter attack made for an excellent show as the slugs manage to push the swarms back out of the borders of my dungeon. I can still sense them actively swarming just outside my bounds, but they seem notably more hesitant to enter now.
While I don't have a scion to praise just yet, I instead make sure to give the little guys a bit of extra attention for a while.
With my borders now guarded and my core secured, I could finally take a breath. Up until this point I've been too distracted with all of my new functions and responsibilities, I hadn't taken enough time to fully get a good idea as to where I am or what I am.
I understand I am now a dungeon and that it's my duty to maintain and protect my controlled territory. But apart from some old ruined furniture and my denizens, I have no idea what else is in store for me in the place. The angel had said that I couldn't go back to Earth, so I doubt I'm anywhere familiar, but at the same time this building looks like it was made by people for people. The chairs and tables look to be about right for humans proportions, I can even see old faded tapestries and paintings but their details are too far gone to make out what may have been on them.
I want to turn this place into a library or similar institution, but I have no idea if the natives of this world can even read any languages I know! I've been browsing through my options and I can see that I have the ability to designate a room to a specific function, but none of them are for a library or study.
Workshop and Abbey
I don't see any point in having a workshop, as I doubt my cats and slugs would be very efficient on the assembly line.
But the idea of having an abbey doesn't seem so bad. I wasn't the most devout person back on earth, but I always did enjoy reading various books on religion, philosophy, and any sort of theistic concept really.
Tossing the idea around in my mind I thought about where I would even assign said abbey. Most of the rooms I had access to were about the size of a medium or smaller bedroom. My cores 'Sanctum' as it had been labeled was only about 4 feet on all sides.
As I drifted room to room, trying to pick one out for the abbey, I noticed that at each of the majors ends of my borders I had unique options.
I could expand myself?
Sure enough, as I felt along the walls of my dungeon I was given 3 options. The first was the option to expand outward and into the open expanse of this new world, the cost was rather high but it would be within my range after a few more days of bug stomping.
Next I had the option to take a new wing of the complex I was already apart of. I could afford this option right now, but it would leave me a bit light in the pockets. I also didn't know if this was the entire remaining space of the complex or just another wing. But it was more tempting than expanding outside, as I needed actual rooms for my library to eventually come to life after all.
The last option did not appeal to me at all however, down and also outside. I had to check to make sure it was a separate choice from the first but sure enough it was. I could feel that choosing this path would grant me a very large space, at a very high cost, and that it would not automatically conjoin with the first exterior expansion.
Filing the three options away for later, I also held off on purchasing the Abbey room as well. This seemed like a bit much for me. Even if I had the frogs and beetles managed, I had no idea what was waiting past my current borders. Would I get new denizens or invaders, and given my current financial situation, would I be able to afford them.
No, I needed to be careful and keep pace with myself, this wasn't a race. I still have a scion I need to get, as well as upgrade both spawners a few levels each.
ALERT - INTRUDERS APPROACHING
I was grateful I no longer had to worry about my asthma, or I would have been in a lot of trouble.
From next to, what was the closest approximation to my front door, Tama stood with her fur on end. Nearly every cat, save for Tama, darted into a hiding space. My brace scion stood ready to face whatever was approaching the old wooden door from the other side.
I ordered what few slugs weren't needed to hold the line, to move to protect the core. By now I could hear the muted sound of voices from the other side of the door. I couldn't make out anything being said, but I could tell there were multiple people just outside.
I eyed my mana again, I was so close but so far from being able to spawn my other scion!
