Title. I’ve been trying to comfort her for a few months now, and it works for a few days before she collapses into the mentality of “I’m a worthless piece of shit who can’t do anything”. Either that, or she gets dead set on doing everything and gets upset when she can’t. I’ve been trying to tone down these habits, but they always come back.
But it’s gotten worse than that. I’ve talked with more friends about her sometimes and she accuses us of talking behind her back out of paranoia. She thinks everyone’s constantly mad at her.
I’m feeling like an “armchair therapist” (that is to say, someone who doesn’t know anything about therapy but still tries to do it), and to quote a rhythm game song, “I’m the one that needs some help!” I feel so stressed almost every day now, but I can’t stand to see her like this.
What do I do? And no, not being her friend anymore isn’t an option; we’re both practically best friends and it would be really rude to stop being her friend at this point.

I feel like the world is going against everything I am trying to do. I recently watched a video about trans people, and their struggle. The guy (FTM) said there used to be 19 anti trans bills(2018), compared to the 549(2023). I feel right now, it isn’t as simple as binary genders I am trying to conform to. I feel like the social pressures to “pass” are great and all, very validating, but I feel like our standard for “passing” is based very much in social media culture. Everything I see suggests that being trans is all that, and I only really see the end (or close to) result. Funny thing is, I even used to be a slightly transphobic person, putting myself further into denial. I used to listen and view a lot of republican comedy, commentaries, and talk shows. I used to boil things down to very simple binary terms, but now I know more than ever that it really isn’t that simple. My parents haven’t forced any gender stereotypes/hobbies on my sister and I, and I was raised both playing with dolls, play cooking, as well as being into cars and trains. I never really “decided” what I wanted to be in terms of gender. I always was “ok” with being a boy, but never found real joy. I’d engage in self destructive behaviors, staying up constantly until 3-4 am on school nights, just playing video games or browsing the internet. I’d wake up a zombie, I’d wake up hating that I stayed up so late (I’ve since gotten over that addiction, but I do thing it was driven by an underlying issue of self love) Another thing that I struggled with was gaining a lot of muscle mass, if any. Whenever I’d see some body builder or even decently fit person, I’d always think that it wasn’t that attractive. Sure I was happy for them, but that was never something I would aspire to be. I only came to terms with my feminine hobbies/aspects during my time in college. I embraced the euphoria of dressing up. I got compliments and would feel absolutely on top of the world. It was only till a year later that I would come to terms with what I always thought my gender was supposed to be. I decided to start HRT (MTF) 3 days ago, after speaking with a therapist for around 6-7 months. But when announcing it to my mom, her initial reaction was shock and denial. She blamed that I had signs of low testosterone to begin with. It was only after talking through with her extensively over the past few days that she realized that this was my decision for myself, as an adult, and not as her child. I empathized with her, knowing she was going to be losing a son. Anyway, thank you for listening to my TED talk. (Apologies for the rant)

Hi 👋🏽. I'm a 21 year old (just turned) Hawaiian/African American. I work in sales for Pepsi, I'm a part time mechanic/soldier, and I'm currently pursuing my BS in Aviation. In my free time I like to work on computers, play video games, work out, read books, [learn to] cook, and dive. (I wanna add working on cars to my hobbie list when I get back when I get back). In late 2022 I decided to join the national guard. I spent the last 7 months in combat and mechanic training. In 15 days I'm going back home to Texas and I'm really excited to get the next chapter of my life started. As I previously stated, I'm trying to get my BS in Aviation and I haven't been able to put much time into while in military training. With that out of the way I'm hoping to find someone to talk to. I went to Sephora a couple of months ago to find out that my absolute above all HG foundation had been discontinued. I seriously can't stop being frustrated about this because it was literally the ONLY foundation that made my skin look so radiant without even having to use primer or anything else with it, really (for days where I don't care if my makeup mostly melts off my face, bc it just melted IN and still looked p good). It also NEVER breaks me out even when I forget to wash my face at night! I still have the ONE I bought maybe 2 years ago, and it still works perfectly lovely but I know that that probably won't last for long.
Does anyone have ANY IDEA why they discontinued it? I need some closure cuz I honestly believe that since it worked so well by itself, people weren't buying as much primer or w/e else as much. If I use the Soft Matte I am FORCED to use more products on my face that I could just skip out on when using the Hydrating formula.
Also, if anyone happens to have any reccs for any foundations I could try that might be close enough, please share! I really don't trust Sephora to point me in the right direction when it comes to finding my perfect match (have been burned way too many times, also their store lighting always has me choosing an off shade which is also very annoying lol). It's starting to kind of depress me when I try looking and am always disappointed. It just really sucks looking in the mirror and expecting a ~work of art~ but I just look patchy and crappy, and that is WITH me doing the extra steps to make it sit better.
Sorry this was kind of ranty! I just wish this foundation was still available. Sad I can't repurchase it and that I didn't at least buy a couple more ahead of time/when they went on sale.

I’m sure I’m not the only one tired of this but I just want to function normally again. This is consuming my life and it’s really hard to stay positive. This is the third night in a row, I’m trying to sleep right now without meds and my body was not happy. I dealt with odd “failing” heart sensations all day.

Thanks to this subreddit, I am now obsessed with only using amazing LEDs. I have been on the search for the perfect LED light bulbs that meet the following criteria:

1. Flicker-free: Does not use PWM (ideally) or uses an extremely high PWM frequency. Very low flicker rate and flicker index.
2. CRI: 90+
3. CCT: 3000K
4. Tint: Neutral or rosy

I am looking for both can lights (BR30) and general lamps and light fixtures (A19).
Waveform Lighting has been my go to, but they have let me down in the following ways:

• A19: Their A19 bulbs meet all of my requirements, but they are very expensive and they have a high failure rate. I have had 4 of these bulbs start dying (actually visibly flickering).
• BR30: They were advertised as "flicker-free" at one point, but now their website has removed that phrase and says: "Low flicker - 6% or less flicker & flicker index of 0.02" -- This is an unacceptable flicker rate and flicker index.

With all of that said, I am just wondering what my fellow flashlight enthusiasts use for light bulbs. I have found some really good "flicker-free" light bulbs except they are only 80 CRI.
There are a few other threads on this topic, but I would love to have a reference for specific light bulbs that meet this criteria.
We all care about our quality of light.
p.s. Could some of you smart folks just create a perfect light bulb already using some amazing flashlight tech? (High quality constant current drivers and Nichia LEDs?) :-)

I know there are fees involved to remaining a realtor - local and national, and that you pay fees to the brokerage, and to retain access to the MLS.
So I am curious if there are people who simply pay to keep everything active while they work on other things. It doesn't seem like it'd be a cost to the broker.
Like hypothetically if someone was on deployment, or still in school, or something like that.

I've printed a few of my pictures on metal in the past with varying luck. Id like to get a few more done but Im specifically looking for low cost options since its all for personal use. Where do you guys recommend? I've used CVS and Walgreens in the past with decent luck but I specifically need to find a place that offers matte and gloss finishes and uses a white basecoat (not the grained metal look).
