I saw a TikTok about her and was just baffled at how little has been posted about her disappearance. Her family said they last had contact with her on April 1, 2018 and she last tweeted on April 6, 2018. The latest account of her being seen is April 12 but it is not verified. From what I could piece together from articles is that It is known that she was planning on flying out to meet someone from Instagram, the person or a person that knows of the person who devine was planning to meet up with blocked her when her cousin questioned them about Devine.
I believe she could have been trafficked or murdered and that more people should see her face. It is very possible that she could be a Jane Doe after 4 years missing and an entire pandemic.

I have known her for over a year now, and getting to know her has been amazing. For context, we both work at the same place and see each other every day. During this time we have grown very close, we spend time at work laughing and teasing each other, more than with any of our other coworkers. We have many of the same interests and have a lot in common. Recently we bonded over our shared love of bourbon and I shared some of my more expensive bottles with her. The whole time we were at her place we laughed and had a good time, not even paying attention to the show we both wanted to watch. Her dog who typically does not like people, absolutely loved me. She even made me read one of her favorite books so that I could discuss it with her. Last night we went out for sushi and I realized how lucky I am to have her in my life. When we are not together we are texting or sending each other funny videos. So much so that we are "besties" on Snapchat. I have not felt this way about someone in a long time, but I am horrified that if I ask her out that will make things awkward and ruin our friendship. Any advice would be appreciated.

SAs someone who has:

1. Completed all quests
2. Completed Badum quests
3. Unlocked Everything (Factions all 20)
4. Have 285/285 with gear and guns
5. Have around 8m - 10m Kmarks
6. Am at best average at straight up PvP, most of my success is from playing smart and cautious (making moves at the right time, rotating and repositioning in fights, coordinating with my team, counting shots, etc)

These are the following things that I have observed about the game, but more specifically after patch 3.4:

1. Most of my time playing the game is spent PvPing in duo and trio squads, helping out some of my friends do their quests, or just going around solo gathering cables for letium drills, doing data drives for dungeons, or farming pistons and aluminum for oil, or just doing jobs for scrips
2. Having 10m sometimes but nowhere to spend it on since my stash is perpetually full means that I have to sell perfectly fine guns such as Flechettes and Advocates to buy Kors and Brutes just to keep my money down so I can pick more stuff up to sell and not waste K-Mark rewards from jobs.
3. There has been a significant rise in cheaters after the patch. Before the patch, there were at best 1 cheater every 4 or 5 raids. Now it seems that there are cheaters almost every other raid, and raids without cheaters are either empty or full of white gear guys doing what white gear guys do.
4. Dungeons somehow outclass Lab Keycard rewards. I understand that they are not the same thing, but I have over 800 hours this season, not once have I found a Lab Keycard. Good thing I opened the Lab keyroom just before it got nerfed.
5. Due to all the end-game content being around the north-western part of Crescent Falls, the south-eastern part of the map is empty. The only people I ever find there are either white gear guys questing, or cheaters who ape for my brute that ran from Starport Warehouse.
6. Matchmaking is still not fixed. I still get trios in my Crescent Falls/Tharis raids despite being a solo. (I literally see their drops, no they are not teaming)
7. Before the patch, I had to forge around ~125x before completing the 10 Slags I need for Badum. After the patch, I have managed to get 5 slags in less than 20 forges, and got 2 slags back to back just a few raids ago. The drop rate may be slightly higher than intended, but the sample size of my personal experience may not reflect the actual statistics.
8. Tharis is dead. As someone who actually enjoys Tharis Island, it's frustrating to have my favorite map nerfed to the ground that no one ever comes there anymore except for some white gear warriors looking for a comeup or just mining Tharis Iron, or those who are there to farm slags. It's a shame, because currently, Tharis is the only map that is actually almost free of any cheaters because of the level requirement to unlock the map in the first place(Most cheaters get banned before unlocking it, and the cheaters that actually play on Tharis are most likely retail cheaters meaning they are legit players but decided they needed an edge to play the game)
9. I've been randomly getting disconnected from the raid, with my gear just vanishing, then immediately dropping back into the same raid naked. Sometimes, this happens over and over again, until I can find respite from a stranger who mercy kills me or until I exit to station which I usually do.

Now what exactly can be done about the game? I will enumerate suggestions that directly mirror the points that I have made above.

1. The end game loop is absolutely terrible (wow, 103,127th time this has been said on the sub, i know). The game is absolutely in need of some content especially for end game players. PvPing is absolutely the only real thing that can be done, and while that is fun, why not just play other shooters that go straight to the point like Apex? Jobs are mostly tedious and annoying to do, and it does need either an update or a rework. A global leaderboard would also be cool, as we saw several people actually playing the game just to get on the howlerbuster boards.
2. The money cap seems like a band-aid solution to a bigger problem. With the current economy of increased ammo and repair costs, more items added into the item pool, and no more permanent insurance, below average players are having a hard time keeping a steady economy in the station whereas successful players still are successful. I personally never really had a hard time hitting the money cap over and over again, the harder thing to do is actually keep my stash from overflowing. I thought the approach to season 3 was to make it easier for newer players to get into but the current system hard gatekeeps casuals while barely doing anything to sweats. Something they could do is just to add a high-roller lobby where you cannot insure gear, and the lobbies cost Kmarks to drop into or even aurum, and is locked with gear requirement so you know you will be fighting people in gear. This also means that if you die, you do not get anything back, and that what you paid for to get into the raid is also gone. (An immediate effect of this implementation might be that we would get almost empty lobbies in regular and high roller instances due to the players being further split into separate buckets but this change alone would bring back so many of the sweats who stopped playing the game back, and the casuals could actually just finish their quests)
3. Nothing to say about cheaters really, but a few hours into the patch, guys were flying everywhere once again despite " 3.4.0 containing various backend improvements and tweaks to the anti-cheat formula and Yager adding new systems to the game to help detect and prevent the kinds of cheats we have found to be the most common ". I understand that 10 devs vs 1000 cheat makers is a tough battle, but certain measures to make reporting and banning cheaters can be done. Adding a death cam that can only be played after either the whole squad is dead, or the enemy squad is dead is one thing that can be doable, many other games have this feature. And before anyone starts going, "well, you can't do this because you can drop in the same lobby if you drop back down again and now you know where the enemy is", just make it so that players have a 15-minute cooldown per instance of the map which aligns with the time it takes for gear to despawn. That way, even the information you receive from the death cam is irrelevant 15 minutes later, and is only really useful for reviewing deaths and as evidence for cheating. Sure, you can get a lucky 5-headshot beam with a Kor on someone but 12x in a row in the same raid? That's an easy ban if anything.
4. Key rooms are massively underwhelming right now. Community Room? Here's a green creature mod for your smg. What's that purple keycard you got there? - Oh, it's an Overgrown Keycard. That's 3 Circuit Boards, 21 Basic Light Ammo, and a white backpack. I've gotten 5,000 Overseers Office Keycards, but 1 Basecamp Armory Key, please explain how this is possible? Back in Season 1, key rooms were heavily utilized(as they should). Base Camp Luggage Room was always open, so was Armory in Jungle. Garage in Greens? Good luck. Hell, even Community Room was worth the trek because Loose House was there as well. I've since sold all my keycards early into the season as I have found it utterly useless and I have better luck picking up high tier weapons and armor just running around Tharis Island. Something clearly should be done here, the Lab Keycard during the start of Season 3 was perfect - it was hard to get up there, it's an extremely rare card, and it can be only used once. The loot was god tier, but that's assuming you can evac with it. And almost everyone only really got one shot at opening it, but I suppose that was too good because now all you ever really get is 3 PKR Maelstroms and a blue set. Sidenote: Puzzle Rooms are also really bad. They really are only for the reactors, and the weapon crate is a bonus, but the process of completing the puzzle, especially solo, is way too much of an ask for so little of a reward. The only puzzle really worth doing is the one by greens prospect since it can be done solo in 15 seconds, but even then you get shot as soon as you start doing it.
5. South-eastern side of the map of Crescent should get some love. Add something there that would actually make players want to go there, or at least make them decide which side of the map they should go to. As of now, all the high-gear players go Warehouse/Pinnacle due to the large open areas which make it ideal for fights, versus the thick jungles of Favela that has dense foliage and full of cliffs where you die if you slip off of. Sure missions take you there, but everyone eventually completes their missions and its off to Pinnacle most of the time from hereon out. Buffing Community Key will not pull players there since keys are single use, and I understand the dungeon is there but let's face it, not many people enjoy doing the dungeon in the first place, be it easy as it was back then or how it is now.
6. Fix matchmaking. That is all. Please.
7. Whatever this is, keep it the way it is. Don't find out oh, the drop rate was increased to 30% instead of increasing it by 3% and reverting it back.
8. Add gear lock to Tharis. That's it, plain and simple. There should be some risk to Tharis, and on the opposite side of the stick, there should also be reward. What is the point of ammo being more expensive, repairs being more expensive, money being harder to keep, if I can just keep dropping back in to Tharis with just a white backpack, mine for 5 minutes and evac with 30-50k worth of Kmarks in Tharis Iron? Imagine doing that for an hour, that's an easy 300k right there. Just about the same amount you get from completing a letium drill, but with no investment, no risk, just sacrificing your sanity for the sake of money. As it stands, in order to add 5% less fauna damage and 5% less damage from storm strikes to my shield and stamina regen during storm on my backpack, I have to fight 6 free loadouts ratting in and around Tharis without gaining anything yet risking everything.
9. I understand ping limit, server issues, yada yada yada. Just make it so if you go poof, let our teammates pick our shit up. PLEASE GODDAMNIT. This is so dumb. I've lost countless loadouts to this dumb mechanic of being booted out of the raid, and now just to add insult to injury I get dropped back in but naked over and over again. What spaghetti code is this where you fix one thing and 12 other things become broken. Just please drop our shit, let some rando pick it up and have a nice feeling picking up a kor and purple set. I don't care. JUST DROP OUR SHIT PLEASE and thank you.

So I met this guy through a game called wizard101. We hit it off really good and added each other on discord shortly after. We didn't start off with the same common interests so we worked around it though and started to learn each other's interests. So I am a really big mario fan, and he played that on the nintendo switch with me. He liked certain PC games like minecraft and terraria so I played those. So we ended up meeting in person because he came down to my state to see me. It was real and we both hugged and it was the greatest moment of my life. We met at a mall that was close by to me and then he came back to my house and him, my brother, and i played mario party. My parents really liked him at first and were very welcoming. We even took him out for his birthday when he came back on that day. My mom paid and everything. However here's where things got slightly bad. I feel like we went to fast and he ended up renting an apartment so we could be together. I stupidly went down there without thinking things through and it didn't end well. His family was not welcoming at all and didn't take the time to get to know me. They also wouldn't give us rides when we needed it for grocery shopping. When they did though they would complain about doing it. I was expressing how I was a bit homesick literally the first week and he didn't really take the time to sit down or understand how upset I was. He was more thinking about his sister because her birthday was the same week. So after I said no multiple times he made me feel really bad and had his sister's party at the apartment a week after I came down. It was so uncomfortable for me because she was very awkward and it didn't make things better. I didn't really talk to her much, like we kinda played a game of mario party. But his sister felt the need to complain and put the game down a lot so I was upset for the rest of the day because I'm a fan of it. He literally had his sister sleepover when we didn't have any air conditioner or source of cold air in the bedroom and I was miserable. She got to sleep out in the living room with the air conditioner and the nice tv. I was so mad when I woke up and went off on her because I learned she also took 6 water bottles from our fridge. After this she ended up telling the whole family. Now his dad is dating an actual criminal. She sent me a threat via text saying she would "beat the shit out of me" this was very concerning to me but my boyfriend didn't even see it as a concern and instead blamed me for yelling at his sister. Then the arguing got worse from here. He consistently kept picking to play video games with his friends than spending time with me. He would put his headphones on and straight up ignore me and I got so mad at this. I slammed doors which created cracks in them and they gave me such a hard time about that. But the arguing got so bad to where he was literally punching me and beating down on me really hard. I mean I hit myself but I never slapped him in the face like how he directly punched me in the face. It damaged my glasses and brought a bruise onto my face. I left there so fast after this. Fast forward to the incident im talking about now. We somehow kept dating after all this. But it really never got better he didn't care to message me only cared about playing video games still. I would call and call and call and he would not answer and he was very aggressive to me. He told me to go die, that I'm a dumb bitch, that I'm retarded. It got to the point where his father even attacked my mom. They spammed her saying that I'm a retard and threatening her saying they would post her address and everything all over facebook. This was 2 days ago and I haven't heard anything since. What should I do from here?

Please if you love doing a PhD don’t read (I’m happy for you). I’m in the 4th year of my PhD program and I’m finally (almost) done with my tests and have finished 2 paper drafts out of 5 that I need for my dissertation. I’ve done so many time consuming tests that we didn’t even use, so much time wasted… But looks like the finish line is getting closer(?). Throughout these 4 years my advisor would always gossip about how people who go to industry are stupid and low level people, so, I always told him what I thought he likes to hear “I love academia, I love research” blah blah. The truth is, I don’t even like my major let alone doing a PhD but I’m only doing this because I wanted so desperately to leave my home country. Towards the end of the third year I realized I want nothing to do with academia, the constant stress, heavy physical labor in lab, expectations of not having a life and staying in the lab the whole day and night and not expecting money (!) and so on. I just can NOT do this any longer than I have to. I was so stressed about switching to industry (I don’t know why I thought it’s so hard to do) I was even scammed by a company that “helps PhD graduates to transition to industry” (leading to months of depression). I eventually accepted a job offer in industry but when I slightly mentioned that I may look for jobs at some point and I may need him to be a reference, my advisor flipped and got mad and said “you’re not going anywhere any time soon!” So I had to lie and say I’ll stay and do whatever he wants. Which then he changed his tune saying “oh you’ll definitely graduate soon.” my advisor thinks I’m in love with academia and even offered me an instructor job for after PhD (instructor job plus full time research but they’re not paying me for that!!). Now I’m stressed and panicking every single day because I don’t want him to find out before I defend. I don’t even know how I’m going to say I’m leaving. He’s going to kill me cause he always mentions all the AMAZING research we’re gonna do together.

After four long years of development the game is finally live, and I thought it could be interesting to share my comments and learnings on the way.

Part 1: Design Goals

Development started one day in may 2019 when one of my old friends said he was interested in trying out TTRPGs, and wondered if I had any experience.
He didn’t know that I had been GMing on and of for 20 years. I was excited and said “Yes, of course we should do it!”.
The day after that another of my old friends, who barely knows the first one, said the exact same thing, so within 24 hours two of my best friends had expressed a wish to try TTRPGs. So we scheduled a session the following week.
My first action was to go to the fantasy book store in Old Town in Stockholm, where I had bought my first books as a teenager, 20 years ago. I looked for the latest edition of Dungeons and Dragons but was immediately put off by the massive amount of rules and the sheer number of books. It felt like a huge first wall to climb to get into it, and I knew my friends would never, ever read more than a few pages of rules, if that. So I had to rethink.
I decided to just make my own game, mashing together a prototype for a first introductory session doesn’t take that much work.
My overall goal was to make a prototype that was light enough on rules to make my friends “get it” within five minutes. I also knew that character creation couldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes, otherwise they would lose interest.
The first session was a smashing success and the D20 roll high game that it was back then was easy to learn, easy to play and didn’t require more than a few minutes to set up.
My initial feeling after the first session was: “I have to make a real game out of this! How hard can it be?”. Famous last words you might say…
We scheduled a follow up session three weeks later and I started working on the 0.2 version.
The second version of the game was a D20 roll under attribute score system, because I realized that having attribute values and then having those values derive a bonus that’s actually what’s important was just too unintuitive and complicated. D20 roll under on the other hand just needs the attribute value, no modifiers and such.
The second session was another smashing success and I was fired up and I felt like I was on a roll!
I then started reading the RPGdesign sub and was humbled by how much I had left to understand about game design. The many wise redditors in that sub helped me understand many fundamental things, such as the progression system you choose is what decides what your game is about, and how much better the game becomes if you just remove all the small stuff that just doesn’t align with the goal of the game. I also learned that I didn’t have a set of design goals, I knew what type of game I enjoyed playing, but I didn’t have a set of goals that would help me keep on track towards building such a game.
I read a lot of articles and blog posts about establishing design goals and how to formulate them. A lot of them were good, some where overly zealous and I would say most of them over exaggerated the importance of following a specific formula. My key takeaway is that you definitely need to establish fairly early what type of feelings your game is supposed to create in your players. But you don’t need to follow a specific formula or template when writing that down.
The design goals of Adventurous

• A game that is light on rules but with a robust structure.
• You should be able to create a character and be ready to play in 15 minutes.
• Every single mechanic and system in the game should be intuitive and not based on legacy system just because that’s how it’s always been done. Always question things like: 3-18 ability scores, attribute modifiers and spell slots
• Players new to the TTRPG hobby, but with experience from fantasy gaming in other formats (mainly computer and video games) should feel familiar.

Those were the goals I established late in 2019, and I’ve used them as a north start whenever I’ve had to make a decision. They have served me well and I’m positive that o delivered on them.

We’re meeting up tomorrow to spend time together. He told me he can’t wait to see me. He doesn’t know that I’m emotionally checked out of this relationship and I really can’t continue things with him anymore.
We’ve been dating for almost a year now. For the past 3 months, it’s been long distance. He moved to a different state for work and ever since then, it’s been an absolute nightmare. He still frequently comes home to visit since I am here and his family. But when he is here, he barely spends time with me. Only about 2 hours at a time. He never makes me feel special or plans cute dates for me, despite me telling him that I wish he would do that for me. I have done so many nice things for him, but he never returns the favor. All of our plans are always last minute. Never has he ever said to me “I made reservations for this place, be ready at 8”. Instead he’ll be like “what do you wanna do”
Couple of times what has happened is when he is back home visiting, he just so conveniently happens to fall asleep when we make plans to spend time together. I get a text message at the end of the day or early next morning with him saying “sorry I fell asleep” without trying to make it up to me. When it happened the third time, I expressed how much this hurts my feelings. And, he pretty much gaslighted me and made me feel bad and said he’s “only human” and “these things happen”. Of course I know these things happen, but you didn’t even genuinely apologize or try to make it up to me.
When he goes back to work, I barely hear from him. I have asked him time and time again if we can FaceTime, even for 5 minutes at the end of the day to catch up. But he couldn’t even do that, despite me telling him how important I think it is considering we’re long distance. Instead, he sends me paragraphs saying why he can’t FaceTime me and that he’s so exhausted and busy all the time. Why is he even dating me? That energy you spent writing out that paragraph could’ve been spent you calling me. A couple of days ago, he told me the only reason I want to FaceTime him is so that I can check up on him and see what he’s up to. Wtf? I wanna FaceTime because I fucking miss you. This itself makes me feel like he is hiding something, but I don’t care enough to find out what.
Maybe he’s emotionally checked out too and that’s why he’s acting this way, but tomorrow I’m finally ripping the bandaid off. I have been holding on, for longer that I should’ve but I finally realize that I’m just so drained and a relationship shouldn’t make me feel this way.

I have a demo that has me completely stumped. We have wine racks built into our cabinets… the kind that are wooden, cross-crossed shelves. I believe they are joined at the cross by a couple of small metal studs/nails.
They are a dust-collector in my house, and I tried to take them out to use only the bottom shelving portion to store my cookbooks.
I’ve tried a multi-tool, a jigsaw (doesn’t reach/too bulky), a mallet, and now a reciprocating saw. The reciprocating saw will cut the front of the shelves, but I can’t reach far back enough to cut through the entire board.
Now the whole thing is hacked, with cuts all over it in the front but no cuts in the back! It’s such a hard to reach area, and I’m disappointed that I even started this project in the first place.
Any recommendations on how I can rip these shelves out?

I'm trying to cut some foam board to the shape of my windows and it's just not really working.
How can I somehow trace the window shape in a way that I can then cut out the foam board?
I've seen some of y'all talking about doing this but couldn't find an explanation of how to do it. Thanks!

My gf comes from a toxic household, her father head of the house passed away a few months back so things been difficult. Her mother now leader of house isn’t the best mother let’s say that. She had a gambling problem before but it got much worse, also her drinking increased. Her mother is planning on selling the house so my gf has to find somewhere to live. I got over there sometimes and see how it is and honestly it’s sick how her family is. My gf is the only clean one let’s just leave that their.
My gf been through a shit ton in her life and I just want to help! I told her I would move with her but then I sat myself down and ask do I need to? I still live at home with my dad rent free. Save a shit ton of money but so far I saved over 10k for my future business. So I’m proud of myself. I wanted to save over 10k so I reached my goal.
My gf don’t really have any proper guidance or men in her life besides me. Who do she call when she have car trouble ? Me. Who does she call when she need help? Me. Who does she call for advice proper guidance? Me. Who will protect her from anything and has? Me.
I just want to make it easier for her since her father isn’t here anymore especially while she’s in nursing school. I want to stay home to save more rent free but I also want to help her and keep experiencing life together. We been on over 6 vacations two being counties and 4 being cities. Helped her buy first car. Helped her with credit. We been doing everything together. I just don’t want her out on her own and not have no help/ proper guidance.

Hi all, lots of people gave me planning tips so I wanted to return the favor by summarizing my trip, in case it’s helpful. I traveled with my wife. We live in So Cal so we drove to the park the morning of. We did not buy any add ons (like Genie Plus or Lightning Lanes)
Rope drop: my wife and I went straight to Adventureland and boarded Indiana Jones (20 minute wait)
Immediately after, walked onto Jungle Cruise (no wait). Then walked into Pirates (no wait, but broke down for ten minutes). From there, got a churro (no line) and walked onto Winnie the Pooh (no wait).
Walked to galaxy’s edge. Lines were long so went to cantina (walked in without reservation, then left after a few minutes after the stormtroopers came in).
Went to Fantasyland. Rode Pinocchio (no wait), Snow White (ten minutes), the carousel (five minutes), and the storybook river cruise (five minutes). Then walked onto Small World (no wait).
This is when the park started filling up somewhat (around 11am). After, headed to Tomorrowland and rode Star Tours (25 minutes) and Buzz Lightyear (35 minutes). Got a pretzel (no wait) before hopping into Star tours line.
Crossed back to adventure land to get some dole whip with mango chimoy (can’t mobile order, so waited about fifteen minutes and soaked in the vibes). Then snacked on beignets at hungry bear (mobile ordered - no wait).
At this point, rise of the resistance had broken down. We went back to galaxy’s edge and ate lunch at the restaurant (I think it’s called landing port). Food was excellent. Atmosphere was amazing.
Then went to smugglers run (45 min wait). As we neared the end of the line I saw on the app that the wait ballooned to 180 minutes. Meanwhile ROTR was still closed.
After, went to chill in galaxy’s edge. Saw the mandalorian. Walked past ROTR. The cast members at the entrance were letting people in and told us the wait would be 40-50 min. In actuality the ride was still broken. As we waited, many park guests exited the line from the front. Several said they had waited two hours. We waited for an hour and then bailed. I checked the app throughout the day after and the ride stated down for another two hours or so.
After leaving ROTR, we veered to frontier land because we hadn’t seen it yet. We browsed the shops for a while, then went to Main Street to get coffee at Starbucks (15-20 min wait). It was definitely worth the wait because we were really tired and needed the coffee. We sipped our coffee and relaxed, pursuing the main street sites, shops, and exhibits.
After, we did the tea cups (10 or 15 minute wait). Then the parade marched past us, so we got to see the parade. We didn’t have the best view (we were near small world), but we got a pretty decent view of everything and enjoyed the parade.
After, we stopped by toon town just to take in the sites. Rodger rabbit had an hour wait, but we didn’t want to go on it. The new Micky and Minnie ride was not taking standby wait anymore (just lightning lane). But toon town was really cute (spent about ten minutes just walking around).
Next, we headed to the Mark Twain for a sunset cruise. It was a highlight of the day. Really nice ride. Very impressive ship.
Then we hopped off and walked around New Orleans Square at night. Really beautiful when sun sets. Then, we did the same for Galaxy’s edge. We bought some dinner (sausages - pretty delicious and no wait) and then took in the sites. We also checked out the gift shop. (By this time ROTR was reopen but the lightning lane was over an hour wait because the ride had essentially been broken all day)
We ended the day by walking around fantasy land, through tomorrow land, to the front of the castle. We arrived around 9pm and waited for the fireworks show. We got a great spot and enjoyed the show.
After the show, we did some last minute shopping in Main Street and downtown Disney. After waiting out the crowds for a bit we took the tram back to the parking lot and were out of the parking lot around 10:30/11pm.
—————— Biggest tips: Be at the parking lot no later than 7:30am and make sure you rope drop. We got on pretty much every ride.
Don’t expect to get on ROTR or the new Micky and Minnie ride. It’s slammed. If you really want to go, you have to prioritize it and recognize you’ll have to pay for extras (stay an extra day, buy lightning lanes, and/or buy genie plus) or you’ll have to be willing to go on fewer attractions so that you can make it in one of these two rides. You also need a little luck - the reason I didn’t rope drop ROTR is because everyone rope drops it and because it’s often broken down at the beginning of the day. So I didn’t want to roll the dice and risk losing that two hour window where few people are in the park.
The rides are fun but definitely pick and choose what you go on. If a ride doesn’t interest you very much, then don’t spend an hour waiting for it. For instance, we skipped a few rides like Autopia because we didn’t care for that ride. Same with some roller coasters (they’re cool but my wife doesn’t like roller coasters and Disney coasters aren’t worth waiting more than an hour, to me. But I’ve been going for years so I’ve been on all the coasters a million times.)
Instead, one of the best parts of the park is soaking in the good vibes, hanging with a snack, and just appreciating all the immersive decor.
Similarly, I recommend revisiting parts of the park during different times of day. The ambiance totally changes at sunset and then during the evening. The best examples are Main Street, Galaxy’s Edge, and New Orleans Square.
I think one of the best things we did was rope dropping adventure land. Most people rushed to ROTR or Space Mountain, which had pretty big wait times. If you were one of the lucky few who made it to the front of the line, it may have been worth it, but most people probably had to wait a while. By contrast, rope dropping adventure land enabled me to go on a bunch of rides in the first two hours. It took stress off the second half of the day. I also saw that many of these rides had huge lines after eleven.
Bring a backpack. Pack an extra pair of shoes, water, and sunblock.
Lastly, I recommend doing a river cruise through the Mark Twain at sunset. I also recommend getting to the fireworks show at least 30 minutes early, but no more than 45 minutes early.
A final tip - research before you go. Familiarize yourself with the park layout, get the app, watch YouTube videos, and get a game plan. You should have a sense of what you want to do and how you’re going to accomplish it.

I (f18) was in a relationship for a year and a half with my ex (m19). He was very very insecure. He was a virgin when we met and I was far from it. He took it out on me constantly. He blamed me for getting physically assaulted by a man before we met because I slept with him. He ruined my 18th birthday by accusing me of cheating with my friend because her middle name is my first name. Bare in mind she was my ONLY friend. And he was critical of her for no reason. Making jokes about her weight and such. And a friend I made later who was transgender he was extremely rude about her and wouldn’t let me see her because he viewed her as a man, and I wasn’t allowed to be near men.
He made me cry constantly and wouldn’t listen or care. I have ASD and I’ve always been very naive when people hit on me. The problem was he constsntly shamed me and controlled what I could do. So I didn’t take it as a oh he cares I took it as a wow what a bad person. So I defintiely talked to people who liked me a lot and didn’t really realise and I feel bad but I wish we’d had good communication. I tried to have it so many times and talked very openly about what upset me and why but he wouldn’t do that.
Later on in our realtionship he snapped at me for no reason and screamed at me in public, cussing me out and made me cry and starting punching walls and threatening to leave me alone there (he was my lift and we weren’t near home). What caused this? Me asking to pee hahah. I left him for one day and inevitably ended up being the one to beg for him back. During the day we were apart I was trying to sext other people to get my mind off it and move on but I couldn’t, ofc I undersrnad how this puts people off getting back together. I’ve used my body for attention for years and it’s not healthy. But we got back when we shoudlnt have. I wasn’t happy.
He always bought me things and took me places. Comforted me and bought me things when I was on my period or sad. Took me on dates and paid for everything. The occasional insults and anger outbursts and controlling behaviours were not all the time. I’m not close with my parents and have 2 friends who I’m not rlly close with. So this is a lot to me and it was hard to leave because I’ve never met someone who could put up with me.
I got a new manager at work (m29) who immedaitely took interest in me. I was very disgusted at first, I have a history of sexual harassment at my workplace being the only girl and dealing with old men as customers all day as well. We eventually became sorta friends and talked a lot over text. Looking back it was weird but I don’t really have many friends and it seemed genuine. I hate how naive I am but I still view him as nice and more genuine than anyone else sometimes.
One night we had a staff do. Both drunk, me and my manager flirted over text after. Not in person once. I felt disgusting about it. I kept saying I can’t because of my boyfriend and I don’t like my manager at all. But it happened. I told my bf within an hour and broke up with him. I was glad we were over and I had an excuse (I knew what I did would mean we’d break up and honestly I think that’s partly why I did it) He came over to my house and started throwing my stuff, snatched my phone, filmed a video of me crying to send to his friend saying “look at the wh0r3” over and over saying how I don’t deserve to be loved and even called his friend so they could degrade me together and threatening screaming at me so loud my parents were going to call the police. It was scary. He went straight to my workplace right after to scream at and threaten them. Within a day he came back to my house to ask for forgiveness. I turned him away as I was still shaken.
After we broke up, I went on a date with my manager. He was talking to me every day and letting me cry about missing my ex over the phone. I thought he really cared for me more than anyone ever has to let me do that when he likes me. I’ve never had that support in my life. But looking back that might be naivety. It’s probably stupid that I’m still not sure. I still think he cares more than anyone else but he’s almsot 30 and I’m 18 and he wanted to sleep with me. But still I’m not sure. I went to his house after and I wasn’t rlly sure on sex. I’m not at all attracted to him and the age gap is weird. I Saïd no at first but he really wanted to and I was physcially aroused so I said he can just touch me but I am not comfy doing anything back.
Long story short he ended up giving me head because he really wanted to and I didn’t see the harm in refusing because well it’s just free pleasure right? I don’t know why I’ve always had that mindset because the sex I had with my ex was so passionate and intimate and I truly can’t enjoy casual sex with people I don’t care about after that. Looking back the age gap and my lack of self respect to firmly say no makes me feel sick. But I was still single and it wasn’t really overly willingly
My ex has come back to me so many times. Every time it starts off the same. He makes a new account or even showed up at my house before. He’s bought me many gifts since we broke up to get me back. Every time I let him back in, tell him how sorry I am and let him insult me to blow off steam and comfort him. And he cuddles and tells me he Loves me and gets me food. Then he has sex with me. And then within a day tells me how disgusting for getting with my manager. Bear in mind he’s been with another girl since we broke up as well. He’s fully harassed me for almost 5 months now and can never leave me alone more than a week. Well tell me he wanted to murder me then 3 days later message all of my friends to beg to see me and bring flowers. And I feel so much guilt for what happened that I keep letting him back but he’s extremely verbally abusive. I just always feel I deserve it because of what happened and let him blow of the steam.
I judt don’t know what to think. I know I’m in the wrong. And I know the guilt and disgust I feel is the result of my own actions. But being so lonely now with no friends and awkward at my job as well as being harassed reguarly is so hard. He always makes new accounts and it’s so hard to shut him down when he pretends to wsnt me to lead me on because I feel so much guilt. I know how awful he is deep down but I don’t know how to move on when I’m far from the victim in this situation. It’s hard to stop responding when I messed up. But the harassment and making me feel I deserve to die and whatnot with zero support in my life outside of my manager who I’d rather not use as support is difficult. Man relationships are complex. I’m not asking for sympathy btw I know what I did was very crappy.
TL;DR I cheated on my toxic ex to leave him and I let my older manager use my body and I’ve been harassed by my ex for months on end
