Using a different account to main on the off chance this gets some traction. Lets dive in. So I don't really know where to start as so much has happened and I'm only now really feeling all of the affects of it. So at the start of this year my family had some tragic news about a family member unaliving themselves and its crushed us all, I've still not quite grasped it but I know how it all happened and theres so many unanswered questions that we will never know. I also had a partner at the time who split up with me for no reason after being together for over 6 months (this has happened rather recently) and being friends for even longer. Shes just full 180d and now just treats me like I had never meant a thing to her not even romantically just even as a person, like telling me a couple weeks after splitting with me that she is already chatting to some new guy and planned on doing the deed with him that night I had saw her. (We have the same friendship circle) she is just a completely different girl then when we were together and I believe I still have a lot of feelings for her and I just do love her still and I hate that I do when she can so easily disregard any form of respect there was for me in the whole many years she has known me. Then not even a week later I believe, I got drunk out with a male friend of mine( I am female and gay to which he is very aware of). Any who I end up staying at his the night and he had done some drugs to which I had not (never have for personal reasons). I then wake up at like 4:30am to his dick in my hand and him trying to touch me all while he thought I was asleep. Now he is a very good friend of mine or at least was and my world is crumbling apart. I also struggle massively with depression and its all hit me like a bus. I just cannot see the light of day and I cant tell many people all of this cause I'm scared (I have told sisters and a few friends all of this). I really just needed this off my chest.

Context: I have been working at a Fortune 50 company for 10 months. Last spring, I graduated and joined a FA Development Program that lasts for 2 years.
I genuinely love my company and I am overall satisfied with my team. I see strong potential for a long-term career at my current company.
This week, I have my second development status meeting, which provides an opportunity to discuss my short and long-term plans. Personal development is highly valued within the company, but I'm unsure how to approach this status meeting. My current manager will be leaving next month, and afterward, I will report to his manager (let's call this person John Adams) who will also be present in this meeting. Within the next 12 months, my goal is to secure a promotion and become a Senior FA, which is the typical progression at the end of this development program. However, for the past 8 months, my job responsibilities have not aligned with those expected of a developing senior FA.
Recently, I had a discussion with John Adams about collaborating on supporting a new business unit. This opportunity has the potential to be a significant breakthrough, as I would have the chance to directly present to senior-level leadership. I can envision myself eventually leading this business unit and overseeing the budget cycle at the end of the year. I feel confident about sharing this idea with John Adams, as he has shown a willingness to give me more responsibilities. However, my current manager has been less receptive to me taking on additional tasks. In fact, a similar opportunity arose a few months ago, but it was turned down due to my manager's reluctance to add more responsibility to my plate. I have attempted to discuss this matter further with my current manager, but I often end up empty-handed.
If I don't express my desire to take eventual ownership, this status would be a waste of an opportunity and time for all three of us. I want to draw a roadmap to take the lead on this opportunity without souring my relationship with my current manager (leaving next month). It's not that he doesn't support my development, but rather that this is his first time in a leadership position, and he is hesitant to delegate more responsibilities to me.

For me this usually starts off with a life story, about a woman (aka me) on a Friday or Saturday night pondering on life as it is. Wondering why at 32 years old, I’m sitting at home, alone & pretty f*cking lonely. Instead it’s a Monday night, after a busy day at work & leg day at the gym trying to stop myself staring every minute at my gym crush.
I’ve become so content in my own company where my norm is taking myself out on dinner dates, spending a stupid amount of time at the gym & scrolling mindlessly through reddit or even dare I say it, tik tok.
Don’t get me wrong, I have friends who are basically family, a small group, a loyal group, people I probably couldn’t live with out, I also have a loving family, however I’ve always felt there’s one thing missing, that thing being my person, my “one true love” hahaha. As corny & sappy as that sounds I suppose it’s what I desire the most.
What I’ve found difficult though is finding another that is on the same page, that I vibe with, that I can just talk to endlessly about anything without it really feeling like a chore. You know the type of connection where your heart skips a beat, you get excited to hear from them & you can’t wait to share nearly every aspect of your life.
The problem I face on a regular basis though is trying to date in a pool of men who are either way out of my league, living on the other side of world or just wanting to dip their d into a moist v.

When I click on a rider in the world, nothing happens. Their name doesn't show up at the top of my screen so I can inspect/add to group, etc. Is this just broken right now or is there a new way to do it?

I currently have Debian on a 500GB SSD and have two 1 TB hard drives I plan to run in raid 1. Just have a few questions.
I just have a few questions as I'm quite new to this. Would love some guidance.
First of all should I go with btrfs or zhs for the raid 1. Secondly any steps on setting it up in raid 1.
Now to my main question which is the following.
I'd like to backup my /home partition from 1 laptop and 1 PC automatically at least once a day to the server. How would I go about doing this? Any recommendations for software, partition type etc.
Next I'd like to also setup a virtual mount point with my common files to be accessed from Windows and Linux. Such as books and other files I will be accessing. How would I set this up. How do I prevent the autobackup from backing this mount point up.
Lastly I'd like to setup an auto torrenting and streaming setup. As seamless as possible. If there's anything for this?

Prompt ideas:

• Halo/Gears of War crossover: My Spartan-IV OC and her AI companion interact with Delta squad, having been thrown haphazardly into the Gears universe. Delta could either be out on a scavenging run or if they detected the energy spike from my OC’s arrival, they could be sent out to investigate that anomaly. Since there’s an 18 month gap between the second and third games, I’d like for the thread to start possibly 6-9 months into the gap. *Mass Effect 2 or 3: I created an original elemental race/character to use in the Mass Effect universe. This could take place during the second game and start off as a recruitment mission or start off with with third game after Shepard leaves the Mars archives. *Halo/Horizon: Forbidden West: I've recently started my second playthrough of HFW and would love to try out a crossover thread where my Spartan IV and her AI companion get tossed into Horizon's universe to bump into Aloy on her quest to save the world. My initial idea would be to have my OC run into the Tenakth Sky Clan after disturbing a group of nearby machines with her sudden appearance.
Obviously the Sky Clan don't know what to make of this new arrival. Thinking she may be a Zenith, Kotallo would contact Aloy who would definitely like to speak with this humanoid creature before the Sky Clan tear into her.

Prompt ideas:

• Halo/Gears of War crossover: My Spartan-IV OC and her AI companion interact with Delta squad, having been thrown haphazardly into the Gears universe. Delta could either be out on a scavenging run or if they detected the energy spike from my OC’s arrival, they could be sent out to investigate that anomaly. Since there’s an 18 month gap between the second and third games, I’d like for the thread to start possibly 6-9 months into the gap. I would like for you to write as Baird, as I plan for this to be an OCxCanon ship. We can assign who’ll play other canon characters as well!

*Mass Effect 2 or 3: I created an original elemental race/character to use in the Mass Effect universe. This could take place during the second game and start off as a recruitment mission or start off with with third game after Shepard leaves the Mars archives. For either prompt here, I would like to try and follow Shepard's crew during both games. I'm currently not looking to do anything for Mass Effect: Andromeda at the moment.
*Halo/Horizon: Forbidden West: I've recently started my second playthrough of HFW and would love to try out a crossover thread where my Spartan IV and her AI companion get tossed into Horizon's universe to bump into Aloy on her quest to save the world. My initial idea would be to have my OC run into the Tenakth Sky Clan after disturbing a group of nearby machines with her sudden appearance.
Obviously the Sky Clan don't know what to make of this new arrival. Thinking she may be a Zenith, Kotallo would contact Aloy who would definitely like to speak with this humanoid creature before the Sky Clan tear into her.

As the title suggests I just realized I made such a big mistake and the guilt is eating me. I just balled my eyes out in the backyard while the dogs played. Let me give you the full story.
New client who’s never had a sitter before😭 4 days worth of drop ins, I just finished my last visit. 2 energetic dogs- one bigger and one medium sized.
They are fed two times a day. I did the meet and greet 3 weeks prior and she showed me the food cabinet. I remember her saying big food big dog, smaller food for smaller dog. Easy enough right! She left me a page of instructions that remind me of the cabinet they are in and say they are labeled by name which I completely looked over. 1000000% MY fault.
There are two big bins of the same size at the bottom of the cabinet. One has the big dogs food. I assumed the one next to it was the smaller dogs food. Well no. It is the CATS food(I am not caring for the cat she said he is set up to be self sufficient). I look up and 2 shelves up is a plastic cereal container of the smaller dogs food.
I have never made such a careless mistake. The smaller dog puked one time. I let the owner know and we both cracked it up to be anxiety.

I initially planned to wait until August to build my new pc, but I saw an RX 6800 for ~$550 CAD ($~400USD) and I panic bought it.
I plan to pair it with a Ryzen 7600 to game on 1440p medium. I also want to stream on Twitch or Youtube but I'm not aiming for anything too fancy in terms of quality.
However, I haven't heard many flattering things about hardware encoding with RDNA1 or software encoding with an entry-level Ryzeb CPU. It's either "inferior but acceptable" or "forget about it and go Nvidia or Intel".
I have also not purchased the rest of my planned parts because I have my hands full for the next couple of days.
Should I return it and wait for August?
My preferred alternative is the RTX 4070 as it has better gaming and streaming performance while consuming slightly less power though I'm not too thrilled about the 4GB less VRAM and $150 USD more. Waiting will also lower the prices a bit. Even now, there are some that are discounted by ~$30 USD.
Also, if you stream or know of any streamers that use my planned setup then please let me know so I can check it for myself.

Prompt ideas:

• Halo/Gears of War crossover: My Spartan-IV OC and her AI companion interact with Delta squad, having been thrown haphazardly into the Gears universe. Delta could either be out on a scavenging run or if they detected the energy spike from my OC’s arrival, they could be sent out to investigate that anomaly. Since there’s an 18 month gap between the second and third games, I’d like for the thread to start possibly 6-9 months into the gap. I would like for you to write as Baird, as I plan for this to be an OCxCanon ship. We can assign who’ll play other canon characters as well!

*Mass Effect 2 or 3: I created an original elemental race/character to use in the Mass Effect universe. This could take place during the second game and start off as a recruitment mission or start off with with third game after Shepard leaves the Mars archives. For either prompt here, I would like to try and follow Shepard's crew during both games. I'm currently not looking to do anything for Mass Effect: Andromeda at the moment.
*Halo/Horizon: Forbidden West: I've recently started my second playthrough of HFW and would love to try out a crossover thread where my Spartan IV and her AI companion get tossed into Horizon's universe to bump into Aloy on her quest to save the world. My initial idea would be to have my OC run into the Tenakth Sky Clan after disturbing a group of nearby machines with her sudden appearance.
Obviously the Sky Clan don't know what to make of this new arrival. Thinking she may be a Zenith, Kotallo would contact Aloy who would definitely like to speak with this humanoid creature before the Sky Clan tear into her.

ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won reelection in a runoff Sunday, following a nail-biter first round two weeks earlier. Having secured another five years, Erdogan now faces a host of domestic challenges in a deeply divided country, from a battered economy to pressure for the repatriation of Syrian refugees to the need to rebuild after a devastating earthquake.
Here’s a look at the challenges ahead.
ECONOMY: HOW MUCH LONGER CAN ERDOGAN’S UNORTHODOX POLICIES BE SUSTAINED?
Inflation in Turkey hit a staggering 85% in October before easing to 44% last month — although independent experts think the latest figure still masks how severe the cost-of-living crisis is in a country where people are having trouble paying skyrocketing rents and buying basic goods.
Critics blame the crisis on Erdogan’s policy of keeping interest rates low to promote growth. Economists generally recommend raising rates to combat inflation.
Despite a faltering economy, Erdogan won the election, in part by softening the effects of inflation with public spending that experts say is unsustainable, including minimum wage and pension increases.
“The Turkish economy has been partying for a long time and well beyond its means. And I think in the period after the election, this is when we are going to pay for the feast that we consumed,” said Selva Demiralp, professor of economics at Istanbul’s Koc University.
Moving forward, the government will need to decide whether to stick to low rates, as Erdogan has promised, make gradual hikes, or combine small increases with other measures. All will be bring an “unavoidable slowdown” in the Turkish economy and higher unemployment rates, according to Demiralp, but the question is whether it’s a controlled slowdown or a sudden stop.
The Turkish lira plunged against the dollar Monday, though stocks rallied.
EARTHQUAKE: ERDOGAN HAS VOWED TO REBUILD — BUT AT WHAT COST?
Erdogan’s overwhelming victory in the provinces hit hardest by the Feb. 6 earthquake that killed some 50,000 people came despite criticism that the government’s response was slow and ineffective.
Voters in nine of the 11 provinces affected by the quake backed the president, including in especially hard-hit Hatay. In his victory speech, Erdogan said rebuilding efforts would be a top priority for his government.
The World Bank estimates that the earthquake caused $34.2 billion in “direct damages” — an amount equivalent to 4% of Turkey’s 2021 gross domestic product. The recovery and reconstruction costs could add up to twice that much, it said.
Erdogan’s two-decades in power have been marked by a huge boom in construction. Despite criticism that the lax enforcement of building codes contributed to the deadliness of the quake, many of his supporters believe he has shown that he can rebuild. But geologists and engineers have warned that a speedy construction campaign could also pose risks.
SYRIANS: ERDOGAN UNDER PRESSURE TO SEND REFUGEES HOME
Erdogan is deeply aware that sentiment has soured on the 3.4 million Syrians who fled violence at home for Turkey, especially as the country grapples with an economic downturn.
In his victory speech, Erdogan said some 600,000 refugees had already voluntarily returned to Syria, where his government is creating so-called “safe zones” in northern areas that it controls. An additional million would follow thanks to a joint resettlement program with Qatar, Erdogan said, without providing details.
But Emma Sinclair-Webb from Human Rights Watch said Syria is still not safe for many refugees — while the polarizing discourse in Turkey is also creating a dangerous situation for them.
RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS: ERDOGAN SIGNALS CRACKDOWN TO CONTINUE
Erdogan’s presidency has been marked by a crackdown on freedom of expression and increasing hostility toward minority groups: Mainstream media is pro-government, internet censorship is widespread, new social media laws could limit expression online, and he has frequently targeted members of the LGBTQ community and ethnic Kurds.
In the aftermath of the 2016 failed coup attempt that Turkey blames on a U.S.-based Muslim cleric, the government used broad terror laws to imprison those with links to the cleric, pro-Kurdish politicians and members of civil society.
Sinclair-Webb, the human rights campaigner, said Erdogan’s victory speech was a “taste of what’s to come” when he targeted the imprisoned pro-Kurdish politician Selahattin Demirtas, as crowds chanted slogans for capital punishment.
He similarly used another victory speech to stir up anti-LGBTQ sentiment.
Erdogan once called the mistreatment of gay people “inhumane” but now refers to members of LGBTQ community as “deviants.” Since 2015, his government has banned pride parades, as officials have increased the use of discriminatory language while trying to strengthen their conservative base.
Erdogan’s government has also withdrawn Turkey from a landmark European treaty protecting women from domestic violence, bowing to conservative groups that claimed the treaty promoted homosexuality.
Anti-gay rhetoric only escalated during Erdogan’s campaign.
“Mentioning it again at the first opportunity in the balcony speech on victory is a chilling reminder of how he’s really putting LGBT people at great risk,” said Sinclair-Webb, the human rights campaigner.
Turkey’s oldest LGBTQ association, Kaos GL, said that Erdogan’s win would not silence them.
“Even though they promise to shut us down, we came out once and we are not going back in,” the organization and others said in a statement.

I'm curious if any of you have tried a new type of offroading and just hated it. Maybe you do lots of rock crawling and then tried mudding and hated it because it wasn't technical enough and way too much vehicle washing after? Maybe you're a high speed dune jumper and tried overlanding and you hated the slow pace of it all.
I ask because this happened to me recently. I guess I'd call myself more of an overlander. I go out on these long, multiday trail drives and I get joy from the planning, peacefulness, the changing scenery, the natural points of interest, the self-sustainment. It's kinda like nature + driving + meditation to me. But I got a chance to try rock crawling - something I watch on YouTube all the time, and it turns out I really don't like it. 😅
They must only show the best highlights on YouTube, because we were on this 1 mile trail for almost 4 hours. Lots of spotting, slow crawling, people trying to get unstuck, winching. I think the worst of it for me was hearing all the metal on rock - like nails on a chalkboard. And I know they've got armor, but I guess the crunching and scraping noises has been ingrained in my head as bad & hurting the vehicle or something.
It feels weird to me, I guess, that after years of watching rock crawling and buggies on YouTube, of dreaming up big tire builds and trips to CA to do the Rubicon Trail and such, when I finally got to do it I really didn't like it much at all. 🤷

Earlier this year, my sister started talking about how our dad was going to take us on holiday abroad with our two half-brothers and our step-mum. He'd spoken to me about this a few months prior and had asked if I would want to come with, to which I said yes. I hadn't heard anything about it since, though, so I had assumed it wasn't happening. Apparently, though, he had still been telling her all about what he was planning. No big deal, it just hadn't come up in conversation when I was with him.
Then, a few weeks after my sister had mentioned it, she made a post on her Snapchat story with a screenshot of a flight booking (or something similar, I can't remember exactly), captioned something like "can't wait until august". Then, the next day, she was over at our house (I live with my nan, she lives with our ma. Neither of us live with our dad.) and started talking about the resort and room our dad had booked. I asked her when he had booked it, and she got really confused because "he told me he'd spoken to you about it."
I mentioned it to my nan, and she decided to message our dad about it to double-check what was happening. She got a reply to something of the effect of "Oh, if he [meaning me] wants to come I'll have to change our booking." He was trying to say he didn't think I wanted to go.
Which... I would understand, if it weren't for the fact that he had asked me, and I said I did. Or the fact that he had asked my ma and my nan multiple times, and both had confirmed I wanted to go. Or that my sister had been talking to him about it for ages, and directly mentioning that I wanted to go with and talking about things she wanted to do there with me. She had been talking about things to do there, explicitly mentioning me every time because she was under the assumption that I was definitely going with them. In fact, everyone except my dad seemed to also be under the same assumption.
So he said he would call the hotel to "see if he could add an extra person" (whilst constantly making comments about how he didn't think he could), and when they agreed, started amending the flights. Then, he sends a message saying I can't fly back with them because there aren't enough seats anymore. So he books me on a flight leaving 6 hours after theirs. Whatever, I suppose. The last time I flew anywhere was when I was 5 years old, and I am notoriously bad with travelling alone, but I can deal with it.
Then, he asks for the money for the flight. Which, of course, would be expected if it weren't for the fact that he didn't ask for a penny for my sister. He paid for her flights, her accommodation, he's given her money to get new clothes and swimwear and has told her he has money to give her for spending whilst there. With me, it's the complete opposite. He's not paying for anything. Not only that, but he also ended up mentioning that the price of the flight went up by £100 halfway through booking, so we had to send him extra. When we get to our hotel, I have to pay 50 euros per night (or something like that) because he added me to their booking after the fact.
I know none of this sounds outrageous, or out of the ordinary for many. Maybe people are going to think I'm being stuck up and spoilt for even posting about this. I just feel as though he's treating me as an afterthought not worth his money, despite me making more of an effort with him, my brothers, and his wife than my sister ever has. Last month, my sister told me he tells her that he doesn't like talking to me because he "doesn't know what to say" and feels awkward trying. My ma said it was ridiculous for me to be paying to go on vacation with my father, especially since my sister wasn't expected to do the same. Maybe it's an age thing, (She's 15 and I just turned 17) but my sister has more money saved up than I do and thinking back, it's been like this for a lot of our lives - him often paying for her, but refusing to do the same for me.
I don't know. Typing it out, I feel stupid. It's probably nothing personal, I'm just being a stupid, over-emotional stereotype of a teenager. But I can't shake the feeling that he couldn't care less whether or not I'm there.
