Life! Exclamation point! Today’s speaker is made of clock parts and possesses encyclopedic knowledge about the nature of natural life. Life! Exclamation point! Though biographies in the back of conference programs won’t ever tell the whole story, they tempt us with the true face of authority. Today’s speaker – Life! – is made of clock parts, probably a grandfather clock to begin with, young for its age, but then he started slapping on extra clock parts, moved by an urge he couldn’t explain, until the function of tolling the hour was more of a hobby, a weekend pass-time, compare to what all those precision instruments were up to on a regular basis. As a vision on stage, the speaker’s machinations were there for all to see – the whirring of gears and belts, the clanking of chains. Where his heart chakra was thought to manifest, swung a pendulum.
The nature of natural life is not an easy expertise to build a vocation around – Life! Exclamation point! – but what a sentence to say aloud. At this point in the address, one of the speaker’s mainsprings uncoils where his belly button would normally be. He uses the longer of his hands to poke it back into place without breaking stride, continues: What is a natural life? More to the point, what is a natural lifespan? Who better to know than me! He points to himself when he says this, does a quick spin in place, revealing the dozens of differently styled clock faces that cover the surface of his body, continues: I’m after the author’s natural lifespan, like to pretend I’m playing along, but the whole time, I’m thinking about his natural lifespan. Hmm, hmm, I wonder why? Ha! // The author changes the subject – today’s speaker thinks of something else.
When you discover someone living an unnatural lifespan, you seek to find out why. Not that the reason is the point – not by a longshot – but call me curious. Maybe they tripped at the right moment and tumbled past the grave. Maybe they did a few extra calisthenics before the cock crowed. Or – perish the thought – they succumbed to an unholy pact at a vulnerable moment. I have taken it upon myself to sniff them out – and when he says this, the regulators above his eyes both arch significantly. And what then? We usually have a quiet chat before I recite my speech and complete my visit. It isn’t personal, I begin – time sometimes wells up, spills over its banks, and floods the village. If we could avoid such catastrophe, we should – don’t you agree? The time nature intends, through natural lifespans, would never, let’s be honest, flood a valley.
And what, then, would I do? Proprietary information! hoots today’s speaker from the stage, does another quick spin, stage lights flickering off his crystals, his gleaming metals. About the author’s natural lifespan – oh, you thought I’d forgotten! Were you 18 when you first died? Had it happened before then? Were you but a child under-supervised? Under-supervision-ed, we might say. Remember the day? You rode a toy out into the street, and a car’s front bumper rushed forward to kiss you on the left side of your head, the temple, a stone flung by the age of automobiles. Don’t you remember? Of course you do – the passionate screeching of tires, as those around you stopped and turned to look, surprise gradually replaced by horror at what they knew happened but couldn’t bear to see. You thought you survived – didn’t you? – but thereafter, what appeared on your left temple? A knotted cist so prominent, people stopped you and asked what happened. You saw exactly two physicians over the next 10 years, both telling you not to worry about it, and so you didn’t. You didn’t! When you probed the spot with your fingers, it felt like a rounded room, a shelter built by something trying to survive. As for that 18-year-old involved in that off-road motor vehicle accident – nominee number two, let’s call it – true, you were far more aware of mortality by then, but your own? You climbed aboard a 3-wheeled vehicle that could travel at more than 50mph, completely lacking a seatbelt, headrest, or protective frame – without a helmet, boots, or jacket – and the brakes were less than half there that fateful day, a means of slowing down – a vehicle that would be rendered illegal to operate within a matter of years of the accident . . . the accident . . . remember the accident? August, you were traveling off-road to do farm work, the cornfield you were riding beside with several rows chopped out for silage, and on impulse, you decided to turn into the field to see where it went, then really opened her up because of the green blur of all that corn. Did you secretly expect the drainage ditch? Was this more of a suicide mission? Over the side you went, face first into the opposite bank, and if anyone was wondering – the effect was not of pain but of the lights going out all at once. Imagine the nature of reality that allows for: the inevitability of the crash, followed by all the lights going out – this is really happening – followed by some utterly absent experience, like a film editor cutting in a blankness where reality normally insists scenes of existence should be. The film projectionist would have been instructed to fast-forward through this part of the film, such that no time seems to pass, and the next thing we know, he is trying to push a 3-wheeler out of a drainage ditch. That thing weighing more than he does, and he’s trying to heave it above his head, up and out of the drainage ditch. What had he become? What time-wise tricks were in play? He finally gave up trying to free torment from its channel, staggered through the field toward the truck, face covered in blood, never went to the hospital. When the story is recounted later by his dad, the story became how dad fixed the 3-wheeler by prying the front wheel out of the frame with his truck and a chain. Can you imagine that chain now? They called it a log chain, and the links were cast iron. It was completely covered in rust.
The author knows all this already, receives a spiritual visitation during the writing of the phrase suicide mission, wondering if he’s okay. Yes, he replies, knowing this particular metaphysical weather report has a lot of ground to cover. Today’s guest speaker picks at one of his stems in a distracted way, lets the matter rest, inquires about whether – uh-hum! – he might be permitted to carry on. The author gets up, refills his coffee, returns to one of the picnic tables arrayed in front of the derelict peace church where he lives. He is surrounded by millions of individual affirmations of life, many of which are visibly in bloom or going to seed. A bumble bee flies by. A yellowish bug with zigzags on either side ambles up, its antennae twice as long as its body, tapping at the world in front of it. Among the local insect population, it’s regarded as a savant.
Uh-hum! How many more brushes with death would the author experience before it finally took? There was the time a few years later, same farm but different brother, taking turns firing a handgun at a target. This would be the last time he would fire a gun for any reason, was it not? They climb into the brother’s wedge-shaped sports car, named after the grasping part of a bird of prey, and into fate’s hands did fly. The car was totaled, the two of them, without seatbelts or airbags, unhurt inside the crumpled remnants of the crash, mere inches from winding up once more inside drainage infrastructure, this one built by municipal authority, and therefore of a substance that would have been altogether worse on an unsuspecting traveler headed straight down. Yes, you might have been saved from becoming the remains of the day – but by what?
The child who caused the crash, the one who pulled out in front of that bird of prey, barely old enough to drive, who had two younger passengers inside with him, taking them out for ice cream maybe – that young driver sat nearby while police sorted out the story. He was crying on the side of the road like he would never stop, like he had identified the crash as the latest in a series of personal failings that would stretch into the future of his adulthood like a hot blacktop road and which, at every stop along the way, tragic suffering would be the font of consolation. Was this the way reality was supposed to work? The author recognized the boy as himself at an earlier age, bent down beside him, put a hand on his shoulder, and said, you will be okay. No one was hurt, and the rest can be replaced – your heart is true, and your soul will find its relief.
Ah, yes, the crash, says the author – ah, yes, the crash. Ah, yes, the crash, says the author – ah, yes, the crash. Ah, yes, the crash, says the author – ah, yes, the crash. The late days of spring may be the most forgotten of the year. If we aren’t anticipating summer – it’s still spring? – then we’re longing for those moments when the world was still opening its mouth, and then its eyes, and then its hands. The trees are all open by now, those late-arriving sycamores even filling out their leaves, such that the twigs and branches are all mildly bowed by the extra weight. After spring assumes its labor, the rest of the season finds its dedication, and I imagine the beads of water rising through capillaries beneath the wood – call it a space program – and a sweetness spreads throughout the tubular organisms we call trees. Late spring – sweetness remembered.
Life! Exclamation point! Chronobiology knows nature has much to say about what is cyclical, when, and for how long – much less to say about the natural length of one’s existence. Is death something one develops a knack for? The next notable death in the author’s life occurred a few years later – the death that would make dying into a full-time vocation. And where again do we find the author? Beside a drain. This one introducing the age of indoor plumbing, as the author lay on the floor of a friend’s bathroom, his life flashing before his eyes, as he vomits into a toilet. This time the world does not go dark all at once but feels like fuses blowing out, like a timed demolition, flashing like a string of firecrackers across the structural frame of a building, and a voice not his own telling the author: you’ll be okay, ride it out, remain present, you’ll be okay.
Would he though? For this fourth death, another blank spot appeared, no two – two instances of nothingness, orbiting each other, during which time, during which time, during which time – perhaps language hasn’t the proper security clearance to convey the negotiations that must have taken place to bring about a return to the living. The author remembers his friend opening the bathroom door, before which she would have been knocking and calling his name. When the door struck him in the back, and he came back to life, had he landed in the place where that drain did lead? While his friend cleaned up the bathroom floor with a towel, he sat on a bed with his hands covering his face. The hideousness he’d just passed through was the abbreviated version of what was to come – he knew the drill by now. The knot on his forehead was gone.
Destiny had finally shown him to his home, gave him a tour of the place, before scraping him off the floor, then setting up a series of baffling crises – from autumn 2002 to May 2003 – that would occupy the author’s attention for decades to come. The will toward dying had finally brought the world to life, and the mind of the universe was both ecstatic and enraged about it. Down there, at the bottom of the drain, they were fighting a global war on terror, war on terror, war on terror, and if wars on terror sum up preferred formulations of self-annihilation – symbol of invocation: fighting a reflection – then perhaps the author’s presence was meant to form a mirror-in-mirror infinity from which sustainable futures would emerge. Welcome to Mirror World! Where reflectivity gives us an evolutionary future! Where a universal narrative unfolds!
The author is making me write this, I must confess, but to everyone’s surprise, I am forcing the author to make me! The author is mine! And the author wrote that, too, I must additionally confess, and the two of us go around and around like this – symbol of invocation: two snails having sex in midair. The flatness and hardness we associate with reflectivity is something we will all outgrow eventually, and the hologram of hyper-reality will appear within our being like a flying saucer, and we will all be both abductees and witnesses, shown around the universe in style. Too much to ask? The last such alien contact – the insinuation of verbal and mathematical language into the genome of big-brained primates – gave us the keys to earthly reality. We are now exiting the stone age, evolving the means to make benevolence a fixture of human life.
The author made me write that, too, and even though I am just as surely making him write this, we must admit the mutability within the fabric of reality was not won without a struggle. The author faced death 11 times that year, faced death the next year, and the year after that. Each point along the way wanted to finish what the others couldn’t, and soon death felt like an echo, and in that moment of not really distinguishing the source and the reflection – when they both look somewhat the same – he could tell life and death were likewise difficult to discern. Life! Exclamation point! Are you merely an extension of entropy? A quicker way of dissipating the heat from a rocky-bodied planetoid like the earth? And if you are, then is life really just another form of death? But death! Didn’t you show us the way? Wasn’t dying the source of the cure?
Today’s speaker made me write that, just as I made him think it. And as thoughts passed from gear to gear around his body – as cuckoos sprang forth through tiny doors at various angles – as a series of chimes and tones issued forth from the stage like the ringing of a bell, if the bell could tell time and was tolled by committee – then the river of the natural lifespan, subject of such grand speculation in a previous incarnation, could now take its course. Perhaps indeed valleys would flood, but such is the natural origin of certain fertile fields. Springtime couldn’t agree with me more, its will toward abundance glad to splay its fingers before another epic growing season. As the author considers ways to wind up this report – knowing such lived truth inspires concern – whether death equals life or life equals death, he reasserts a will toward world peace.

I was thinking about old Dick Gatling, and how he developed his famous gun with the intention of ending war by showing people the horror of what was to come. Then I started thinking about other innovations - philosophy, science, technology, economics and how they were all developed with the best of intentions but how they all later on got twisted somehow - as if any attempt to make people more free only later leads to their more subtle and complete enslavement.
Can anyone think of a counter example?

Before tonight, I've been on a break from Red Dead since December. Between work, personal relationships, and my interest in other games, I didn't pick it up for a while. I also held off because I'm currently trying to 100% the game, and I'm procrastinating. (Even though it's really fun!!)
I've had the urge to play recently, so tonight I finally got on. What ensued really makes me not want to pick up the game for a while. It’s like the game was telling me to f* off.
A few memorable points of the tonight’s events:

• My favorite horse, a black-and-white American Paint, was blown up in a dramatic display by the Murfee Brood. I was just exploring the area and suddenly I'm being bombed from three different angles and they're attacking me AND my horse.
• I found the stranger that falls off his horse near Saint Denis and you have to quickly take him there. Only, for some reason there's a ginormous dust storm and I can't see. I end up running into a guy on his horse and we all fly off, and then he guns me down.
• One of my side missions is to make poisonous arrows, so I've been trying to find Oleander Sage. I've heard of the night folk, but I didn't think they covered the entire swamp? I was around the Kamassa river and then I was attacked and died.
• I’m around the Lemoyne area when I hear shooting, and see a wagon being raided. I’m really trying to be a good Arthur, so I try to help them. I accidentally gunned down one of the drivers.
• Following another random interaction, I busted the sting operation in Valentine running behind the Doctor’s office. One thing lead to another and now I have a $147 bounty that I can't pay off, so I’m playing it off that I’m laying low in Rhodes in a while.
• Going back to the hunt for Oleander Sage, I'm on a secondary horse (a pretty blue Nokota) and I'm using tracking vision. I see what I think is a boar, but it shows as an enemy on the map and I hear roaring. It makes my horse run and throw me off into the swamp, where we're surrounded by alligators. I miraculously survived that.

Not to mention, I still haven't found any Oleander Sage. And at this point, I don't even want it or the poison arrows anymore.
What are some of your bad luck chain events that you've had? I'd love to hear them!

If anyone has this laptop, I would really love y’all’s advice. My old laptop died, and it’s time for a new one.

There’s a bug when playing split screen, the thermal gun doesn’t show the enemy. The thermal is on everyone is blue with no thermal effect.

So I went into my local big name beauty retailer because I fell in love with the Dermalogica Ultra Calming cleanser, and wanted to buy the large size. When I went in, it was the last one on the shelf and I noticed it had an older pump. I asked the associate working if they had any more in the back and she said no but she could order it. I would have, but I was out and really didn’t want to buy anything for the meantime. I got home and checked the batch code and it said the production date was 7-3-2022, and the bottle shows it’s good for 12 months.
I went back a few days later to pick up something else and saw they had a fresh stock of large cleansers with the new pump, and I told the associate (a different one) about my situation. She said of course I could exchange the old product for a new one because I’d never be able to finish that much product before the year mark in a few weeks.
Well, fast forward to today, I go in to make the exchange, and this associate says it’s shelf life is not 12 months from the production date, but rather 12 months from when it’s opened. She kinda made me feel crazy about the whole ring and I ended up leaving with my old bottle and not a new one. I don’t care THAT much, especially if the 12 month timer just started.
Was she telling the truth or should I go back and get a fresh bottle?

Idealistically I would like a world government where voting is not a right rather you should have to pass a test to show you know some level of understanding of things such as politics and history or perform public service. I also like the idea of technocracy, but I still think anyone should be allowed to hold public office.
I think a untied world government that is liberal but also pragmatic would be a good thing for the world. I do think some cultures are incompatible with liberal values and I don't think all cultures should be shown respect. I support liberal values such as liberties and freedom, but I think a society needs to be responsible and orderly with freedom. I also highly value order and stability and think in some cases it should take precedence over liberty. I think Singapore is a good example of this and they're a nation I like. Basically, I want a free society that values education, progress and tradition, safety, stability and order and rejects extremism in favor of pragmatism and moderation. I also reject any kind of racism, and think we need to move past race as a whole to unite humanity and work together to progress society. So I'm against nationalism and any type of policy that favors any race, ethnicity or religion.
I support capitalism, but I think the state should be able to step in when it needs to to fix the negative aspects of capitalism. I definitely reject libertarian type capitalism. I also support a strong welfare system that helps people get back on their feet rather than keep them on welfare forever. Socially I am a moderate.
I'm ok with legalization of marijuana but not hard drugs. I generally support LGBT rights and abortion, but there should be limits. I generally support gun ownership, but I do support strong gun control such as red flag laws, strict mental health and background checks, and licensing to own certain type of guns.
When it comes to immigration and foreign policy I am mostly pro immigration and I am a strong supporter of free trade and Internationalsim. I am a big supporter of NATO and think China and Russia are our biggest threats.
Some personal things about me that may help is that I'm agnostic, but I do think some religion can be beneficial to society, I really dislike both parties, but I have been voting for democrats most past elections, my favorite presidents are both of the Roosevelt's, Lincoln, Eisenhower, Bush Sr, and Washington, and I just call myself a centrist usually. I’m gonna try to keep this short, but I have so many thoughts.
I grew up in a dysfunctional family. My mom was the “more” abusive one, but my dad was abusive too. Dad ended up getting full custody after their divorce as he was the breadwinner and my mom had more severe and obvious mental health issues. Long story short I was encouraged to hate my mom my entire life by my dad and kind of did? But as an adult looking back, starting to hate my dad actually. Haven’t spoken to him in 6+ months and not sure I ever want to speak to him again- Looking to this sub for thoughts/advice.
Mom abuse highlights- Would tell me I was a bad kid and bad sister to my brother (ages 6-11ish), spanked my brother and I with a wooden board that had holes drilled in it for “aerodynamics” and a face drawn on it names “the boss” (my dad witnessed and I guess condoned this), hit me and kicked me, on one occasion appx 11 years old I remember laying on the ground in a ball trying to protect myself while she kicked me, spit in my face, etc etc you get the idea. She would also frequently tote us kids around while high and sometimes even to her “friends” houses to get more drugs. She was also severely schizophrenic at times and delusional, which lead to a lot of issues. Ultimately she lost her limited custody with us when I was 12. I haven’t seen her since I was 14. She’s probably dead tbh.
Dad abuse highlights- Beat the living shit out of me with a belt when I was around 6 years old. Whipped me so hard that the backs of my legs were covered in welts and I cried so hard for hours that I hyperventilated. Told me my mom wanted him to be more of a disciplinarian as an explanation/“apology” (this was during their divorce). When I was 8/9 decided my room was too messy and it was unacceptable - Shoved my 4” bookcase over in a fit of rage- Dumping its contents on the floor and shattering some ceramic/glass items- Left me to clean it up. Ages 8-10, would leave my younger brother and I unsupervised with a creepy neighbor who 100% would let his dick hang out of his pants for us to see. We are VERY lucky nothing worse happened. In highschool, started dating questionable girlfriends and treated me poorly. I barely remember details because I was probably preoccupied with highschool, but I remember him being generally shitty to me. In college, continued to be shitty. Cut me off financially, but continued to claim me as dependent. Would do family trips near my college town with the whole fam except me (I would find out later they had been in my area and didn’t let me know). Fast forward- Found myself an abusive husband (🙄). My dad met him 2-3 times? One of those times I was opening up a christmas present with a pocket knife and abusive husband forcibly ripped it out of my hands against my will so I wouldn’t “hurt myself.” Dad witnessed it, didn’t ever mention it or ask if I was okay. My dad decided abusive husband was in charge of me and would then text him things about me instead of speaking to me directly. When I confronted him about it “why are you texting him when you don’t even know him? he’s not in charge of me. text me… your daughter…” he absolutely LOST IT. Literally screamed at me, called me a bitch, terrible daughter, he’s so lucky to have my brother because I’m so worthless, etc etc. Immediately after that phone call, I texted him and told him I would absolutely not be spoken to like that or treated that way and that was the end of our relationship. We were out of contact for a few months and then he texted me out of the blue one day like nothing had ever happened.
After that… It’s been about 6-7 years of a “normal-ish” relationship where I force myself to go home for holidays and cosplay normal family. I have literally been forcing myself to do it because “it’s the only family I have.” We also would occasionally text or talk on the phone.
I divorced abusive husband after 2 years (go me, finally a win), took a few years off from serious dating while I went to therapy (another win), and have now been in a new, happy, healthy relationship with a supportive and lovely partner for years (the ultimate win, god I hope it’s forever).
Which brings me to… Christmas 2022 I did the old “have to do this” and went to my hometown for a day with my boyfriend to do Christmas at my dads. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to crawl out of my skin. I literally felt repulsed being at my old house. It felt so unnatural and wrong. He has photos of my brother and I plastered everywhere and in so many of them we look dead eyed and miserable because we were surviving abuse… We both have CPTSD symptoms that can show up as ADHD, etc.
So… I find myself thinking “but there are good memories too” “he took you on trips” whatever. But I honestly don’t think I want relationship with him. I’ve been so happy for the last 6 months not talking to him. I’m also doing EMDR soon and hope it helps with this.
Any thoughts/advice appreciated ❤️.

Hi, I applied the asylum at March 2022 and got interview at May and then June 9 2022 they sent me notice of intent to deny because I am an F1 visa that time and they request more evidence on it. I made a reply at June 9 2022.
And Now, I didn’t receive anything back from USCIS such as respond received or case denied or something update status. I checked on the USCIS case status and it showed me nothing( stuck with the interview decision was mailed)
What happens with my case now ? I am not the F1 anymore. Do you guy face on that problem. It is beyond the 1 year right now.

Orion talks about entering the werkroom and how the tension between Robbie and Rock can be felt after their disagreement in the previous Untucked.

The queens then all gather around and Akashia's mirror message as Elliott reads it to the group before cleaning the mirror. Jan mentions to Elliott that she thinks she did a really great job in the lip sync to which Elliott mentions that she really thought that it should've been Rock up for elimination and not her. Elliott goes on to say that she felt that Rock was a weaker team leader and that should've accounted for something. Robbie jumps in again to mention that she said all that she needed to say to Rock in Untucked but the fact remains that the judges loved her idea and that if Rock stepped it up more that their ad would've been successful. Rock rolls her eyes before walking away saying that she is more than ready to send them all home.

In her confessional, Monica laughs and says that she hopes the other girls continue being distracted by one another and take each other out.

The queens start to separate and go through their de-dragging processes. Jade shares with Kerri and Monica how she really wants to land in the top for a challenge this coming week but it seems the judges haven't been featuring her so far. Monica tells her that her only goal is to continue to show the growth from her earlier season so that she can show that she is ready for the crown. Kerri agrees and tells Jade that she should focus on doing her best and showing the judges a range of talents and that will take her to the end.

PREPARATIONS FOR MAIN CHALLENGE
When Ru leaves the werkroom, the queens all gather their materials for their constructed look and begin creating their garments.

We see Kandy and Kerri working at a station near each other as they begin making their looks. Kerri talks to Kandy about how she knows she is going to look great but that she really wants to wow the judges with the look that she creates. She explains to Kandy the look that she has planned and Kandy asks her how she is going to bring space into it. Kerri gets a little stumbled up with this question and it makes Kandy crack up. In her confessional, Kerri talks about how she knows that there is some truth to what Kandy is saying but that she still feels like she should play to her strengths and do what would look good on her.

On the other side of the werkroom, we see Monica chatting with Jan as they work on their constructions. Jan shares with Monica her concerns with her safe placements each week. She tells Monica that she knows that it is still early on in the competition but that she really wants to impress with what she is creating this week. Monica tells her that this is what is the hardest part of the competition, because all the girls are gunning for the attention of the judges and they will only hone in on one of them.

Rock is shown feverishly working on her look on her own. We see many of the queens looking on when she continues to add more and more accessories to the look.

Marcia mentions that she can't help but cringe while she watches because it's almost like she wants her look to get worse with each thing she adds to it.

Orion tries to talk to Rock to give her feedback about how her look is turning out. Rock doubles down and says that she thinks it really speaks to the theme of the category and that she wants the look to be out of this world. Orion looks worried but allows Rock to continue down her path.
​
Just then, Ru re-enters the werkroom for her walkthroughs with the queens. She is shown talking with Elliott, Robbie, Jaymes, and Jade in direct conversations. In her conversation with Elliott, Ru brings up how her previous construction went over well. She adds that Elliott was just in the bottom two and asks if Elliott feels that will impact her performance with this challenge. Elliott shares that she feels good going into this challenge because she knows that she can create a cohesive look and has some good ideas for where to go with her Martian look.

In her confessional, Elliott shares that she thinks if the other queens are counting her out just because she was in the bottom two last week that they will be making a mistake.

Ru then moves on to chat with Robbie about the upcoming challenge. Robbie shows her where she is so far with her design and Ru is unimpressed. Ru goes on to tell her that the other girls are going to be gunning for the top spot in each of the challenges and that she thinks that what Robbie is doing isn't something that will stand out and that she really wants her to put her best foot forward with the challenge. Ru leaves her by stating that her last construction challenge landed her in the bottom three and that she really wants to see growth from that challenge in regard to what she does with this ball. Robbie tells her that she is going to take that into account and really not hold anything back.

Ru moves on to chat with Jaymes. In their conversation, Ru revisits her great performance in the previous challenge and asks Jaymes if she feels any pressure to keep up the momentum. Jaymes jokes about how she is in a constant state of fight or flight and goes on to joke around and makes Ru cackle. Jaymes then mentions that she has always created looks for herself so she feels like she can do something really strong with this challenge and shares some of her ideas with Ru. Ru tells her that she is really looking forward to seeing what more Jaymes will do, especially in this challenge.

Ru is finally shown chatting with Jade about this challenge. Ru tells Jade that she hasn't been in the top so far and asks her what she plans to do with this challenge to change that. Jade tells her that it is something that she has been thinking about and that she knows it is still early in the competition but that she is planning to really wow the judges this week. Ru asks her specifically how she plans to do this, to which Jade doesn't really have an answer. Ru tells her that she wants her to not get too in her head and that when she realized how talented she is then everything else will fall into place.

In her confessional, Jade mentions that she can't help but really focus on slaying the challenge and that she won't apologize for that.

As the queens are getting ready for the main stage presentations, Robbie and Rock have another disagreement after Kandy asks the group how they all feel about the looks that they have created. Robbie mentions that there is a clear look where a queen doesn't understand the need to edit and makes eyes over towards Rock. When Rock responds, Robbie just mentions that she is being real and telling her what everyone else is thinking.

ON THE MAIN STAGE
RuPaul takes to the runway and welcomes everyone to the main stage and introduces the guest judges Logan Browning and Tisha Campbell-Martin. She explains that for this week's challenge the queens were tasked with turning out three looks for the Last Ball on Earth!

The queens all begin their runway presentation with their Alaskan Winter looks. We see a lot of body looks with the queens as they show off their swimsuits. We see particularly strong looks in this category from Kandy, Monica, Kerri, Jaymes, and Orion.

The queens then turn the corners in their Miami Summer looks. The queens all bundle up with their furry winter-themed looks. We see particularly strong looks from Monica, Jan, Kerri, Jaymes, and Orion.

The queens all walk the runway in their galactic-inspired constructed looks.

RuPaul announces that Kandy Muse, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Jan, Kerri Colby and Elliott with 2 Ts are all safe and that they may return backstage to untuck.

Michelle starts with Monica and tells her that she really stepped up this week. She tells her that unlike the other queens she felt that she had some of the biggest makeup changes with her looks and that each of her looks were well fitted and proved her strong taste level. Logan Browning agrees and tells her that she thinks she is so pretty to look at and that she loved watching what she did on the runway.

Ross moves on to Rock and tells her that he had higher hopes for what she was going to bring to the runway. He tells her that she is such an imaginative queen but that each of her looks were too predictable and none of them were actually well fitted. He goes on to add that her final look seemed to be all over the place and needed to be edited. Logan Browning tells her that she was confused with her final look because she didn't see it as Martian and that there were just too many pieces to it.
​
Michelle then talks to Jaymes and tells her she was her favorite of the night. She tells her that she can tell that Jaymes gets deep into character when she hits the runway and she connected with the characters that she displayed on top of the fact that the looks were all homeruns. Tisha Campbell-Martin agrees and adds that she thinks that she knows who she is as a queen and definitely knows how to portray it through a look and that she loved everything she did on the runway.

Ross then talks with Robbie and tells her that she wasn't at the top of her game with this challenge. He adds that her constructed look was a safe thought that wasn't even well made. Logan Browning tells her that she had an issue with the wigs that she chose to wear. She gives her feedback to think about her look from the heel of her shoe all the way to the wig she puts on her head.

Ross tells Orion that he loves the way she styles her looks and that the other girls should take note of this. He tells her that each of her runway looks are a story and that all he wants to do is read it. Tisha Campbell-Martin gushes over how beautiful she thinks Orion is. She goes on to tell her that she couldn't take her eyes off of her and that she thinks that the look she made was so well tailored that it almost looks bought.
​
Michelle ends the critiques with Jade and tells her she really wanted to enjoy her runways but that there was a something missing from each of them. She goes on to say that she doesn't want her to fade into the background but that she just didn't stack up to her competitors this week for her. Tisha Campbell-Martin tells her that she agrees with Michelle in that she didn't find Jade to be particularly memorable and that if she wants to be a superstar she is going to have to wear her talent on her sleeve and that she didn't see her doing that tonight.

Ru then sends the queens to the back while the judges deliberate.

The lip-sync is entertaining. Both queens put their frustrations with one another into their performance and really turn up the heat. Rock goes between being comedic in her performance to being sexy and fierce. Robbie builds with the energy of the song and gets a lot of laughs from her interpretation of the song. Rock's garment is shedding pieces all over the stage and Robbie uses it as a gag in her performance.

ALL STARS 4 VOTING TO BEGIN LATER THIS SEASON

I have a CZ 457 Lux that I fucked up.
I tightened one of the set screws that secures the barrel to the action excessively such that I was unable to remove it. In the process of attempting to remove it I broke the tip of the hex bit I was using off in it roughly flush with the top. I was unable to remove the broken bit and so I drilled/bored into the broken bit and screw in an attempt to create a cavity with sufficient room to use a screw extractor. All attempts to remove the screw using various extractors were unsuccessful. My attempts at drilling/boring into the bit/screw ultimately resulted in removing enough material from the screw that the broken bit came out. However, the remains of the screw were still firmly lodged in the action.
It was at this point that I realized the situation was truly beyond my ability to remedy and I began contacting gunsmiths in my area (Whatcom County).
Eventually, I brought the gun to Armadillo Arms and Machine after speaking with the owner. This was in late December 2022. I spoke to the owner last week and he indicated that he spent about an hour attempting to remove the screw with no luck and had contacted CZ for an RMA in order to send it back to them for repair. Since it's been almost 6 months since I dropped the rifle off and the shop owner has only just gotten around to doing anything to try to fix it, while at no point contacting me - all contact since I delivered the rifle to the shop was initiated by me and every time I've called for a status update (maybe 3-4 times, total) I've gotten the sense that I was being bothersome/unreasonable/annoying, I'm not especially confident that this shop is going to end up being the saving grace that I'd hoped for.
Thus, I thought I would ask for recommendations here.
If anyone happens to be possessed of the requisite patience to read this post and would also be so good as to recommend any gunsmiths that might be worth contacting to hopefully fix this problem if that's even possible I would be truly grateful.
