Expand free school meals to all students in Wales regardless of parental income.
be enacted by the Senedd Cymru and having received the assent of His Majesty, it is enacted as follows
Section 1 - Definitions
(1) A student shall refer to any child studying full time between key stage 1 to 3 or nursery.
(2) A place of education shall refer to primary schools and secondary/comprehensive schools along with schools with integrated nursery.
(3) A free meal shall be defined as a meal provided by a place of education for students that is provided without charge of the student or parent.
Section 2 - Providing Meals
(1) Every student who is in attendance on a school day must be provided with a free school meal by their place of education.
(3) Places of education must ensure these free school meals are to a satisfactory and nutritional value.
(4) Food that has been prepared but not used will be given to local charities that are dealing with homeless people.
(5) A school must take into account the allergies, medical intolerances, and other dietary requirements of a student and provide alternatives.
(6) A school must be able to provide halal, kosher and other foods that comply with religious beliefs, for its students.
(7) A school must always provide a Vegan option for its students.
Section 3 - Holiday Provision for School Meals
(1) Free school meals will be provided during school holidays to students who’s parents or guardians are eligible for the following benefits:
i. Universal Credit II. Child Tax Credit III. The guaranteed element of Pension Credit IV. Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance V. Income-based Employment and Support Allowance VI. Income Support VII. Support under section VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 VIII. Any successor benefit to the above
(2) The relevant local authority shall decide the method of the meal allocation during school holidays
Section 4 - Government Funding & Usage of Funds
(1) The Welsh Government must allocate appropriate funding for free school meals for schools across Wales
(2) Any money not used will be handed back to the Government.
(3) This money shall not be used for anything else other than funding the free school meals and ensuring provision of such.
(4) If there is no manual increase or change to the budgetary requirements of this bill then the amount needing allocating will increase per each new school year by whichever is highest of 6% or inflation.
Section 4 - Commencement & Short Title
(1) This bill shall come into force on the 1st August 2023.
(2) This bill may be cited as the Free School Meals Expansion Act 2023.

Schools are where some of the most important lessons are learned, many key skills are learnt in early education and the understanding of these subjects will determine if a student can understand more complex subjects later on in life so again these core parts of the Education system are important.
That is why no child in Wales should go hungry even after they've started secondary/comprehensive school, this is where key skills such as numeracy, important grammatical distinctions (for both English and Welsh) are taught. More importantly this is when GCSEs are sat and these exams are sat, determining some peoples futures.
Many studies have shown education is less effective when students haven't eaten and therefore hungry students have a poorer standard of education. That is why I am proud to present this bill as it will put everyone on a level playing field and ensure everyone has a full stomach when they sit their exams next summer.
This bill will also let parents have some rest during a more and more expensive time as it is one less meal they have to pay for, this will help the ones most hit in life and this will give parents that before wouldn't have qualified for free school meals the extra change they need to get by, equalising society even out of the classroom. The cost of this is relatively quite small with the cost being under 180 Million pounds by 2026 with it starting off at just over 160 Million for the 2024 school year.
I urge all members to vote for this bill as we ensure that disadvantages such as poverty that affect children are minimised during their GCSE studies, ensuring that they can get the best grades they can and prepare themselves for a better future, one where no child's stomach is empty.

This is the most loser sports sub I've ever been a part of. People are calling to let Harden go for nothing who right now is currently a top 25 player. People want to trade Embiid and build around Maxey who at his best might make a few all-star teams. People want to blow it up so they can slobber all over role players and young players who may never end up being that good.
What is the realistic choice here? The Rockets have been god awful for 3 years and their young players might not be that good. You'd rather be them? The Kings had their first good year in 16 years and they didn't even make it to the second round. The Wolves, Magic, and Pistons to just name a few teams have been rebuilding for eternity and are firmly in the cycle of mediocrity. Would you rather be them? I think a segment of people here would rather just lose and develop for eternity than actually try to win because they can't handle being emotionally invested in sports. If that's the case, they should take a look at sports history because a rebuild is not a guarantee of success. And the funny thing is that the sixers are actually good. They're currently not good enough but why just give up on that and throw away any chance of getting back to this level? I’ve been listening to a handful of dungeons and dragons podcast for years, but I’ve barely ever been a player. I have started a club for some of my middle school students. The school loves this because they don’t have to pay for buses. We do it virtually at home after school. The problem is what sounded so easy on the podcasts is almost insurmountable for me. I also need resources that are PG-13 at best. I’ve even had trouble finding podcasts to share with them that have minimal cursing but aren’t too babyish (personally, I love lots of cursing in my podcasts). Thankfully, my vivid descriptions of our surroundings and violence have been extremely satisfactory, because I know my audience.
To be more specific, the help I need is: -I’m not sure where to subtract damage on their character sheets because somehow I missed that when we created our characters. - every resource a brand new DM should have open as we play, - the bare minimum of character facts to include on a simple sheet for young, brand, new players, and some one shot campaigns, which for us will be longer than one sitting. For our first game, we’re playing a one shot campaign called “Rose red” from the DMing dad website. - I’m not sure if each failing roll counts as experience, or each failed encounter, and where do I (or they) keep track of that? I know it sounds like I should just do some simple reading but the amount of information out there is overwhelming and is directed at experienced players, so I’m not even sure of what I’m reading. In my defense, it is the end of the school year, grades and reports and parental communication is at its peak, and discipline problems during the day increase as the school year draws to a close. I’m paid to do the club over the school year but I’m committing to at least four volunteer meetings over the summer as a volunteer because next year I want to have my shit together. Eventually, the school would like me to expand the club membership. So a less urgent issue is how to include more players without slowing gameplay down to a crawl. I have thought of having a breakout room for one group, and skipping back-and-forth between the two. I feel awkward posting how ignorant I am about everything, but it is for a good cause. the kids have been dying to do it. They would’ve done it themselves, but they said it’s too expensive, and I was like dude it’s practically free if you do it right. I would really like to not regret my decision!

 | WOOOH! I've been WAITING to post one of these! It's been such a long and draining process, but trust me - it is SO worth it. I'm not gonna make one super in depth like others. I'll try and make it short and straight to the point. I scored a 24 AA, a 23 TS, and a 17 PAT LOL. Read someone else's tips. I am the WORST at this. I literally depended on hole punching, cube counting, angle ranking, and a little bit of pattern folding and keyhole. TFE I guessed on all 15. And I am not exaggerating. I literally guessed C on every single one. No tips here. BIO (22): Kinda disappointed with this, I was scoring much better on Booster. However, the key to this section is CRANKING the free Bootcamp High Yield Notes. Literally take your time, and do a chapter a day, but make sure you get it. Make ANKI Cards and review whenever you get the chance. I personally made specialised sections for each Chapter, and then when I was studying bio anki, I did the entire deck, so it would be randomized and I wouldn't expect any questions to come. Also, for taxonomy, I got like 1 question, but you may get more. So I suggest using the Booster cheat sheets and use Anki's image occlusion. Lastly, I would STRONGLY recommend getting Bootcamp for Biology. I Know it sounds crazy, but I literally only used bootcamp for bio because in Booster, I would not cross a 18. Bootcamp I was consistently gettings 21s+ after watching the videos. Then, I went back and RETOOK all booster bio tests, and all were easily above 25. The bootcamp vids are legendary. GEN CHEM (26): So upset here because I had a right answer and then CHANGED IT, so maybe could've gotten a 28 or something here! Anyway, Booster and Bootcamp Gen Chem are so much harder. This section made me think like "Why did I spend so much time studying this?" I knew almost everything from 10th grade Chem. However, know periodic trends, know M1V1 = M2V2, how to do Ksp questions, difference between galvanic and electrolytic cells, and just the possible exceptions. It really is simple, and could be a score booster for sure. I just used booster cheat sheets to study for this, and watched Dr Mikes vids from bootcamp ONLY on acid bases and equilibrium. OCHEM (22): Wish I did better here, I really drilled in the reactions with ANKI. Everyone says understand the reactions, and that is so true. Understand stuff like when you see a grignard and a carbonyl carbon, it will most likely attack and form an alcohol etc. Just understanding trends goes a long way. People say don'y memorize every reaction. I disagree. Memorize everything, I had 2 really weird reactions on mine and I only remembered because I put every reaction into ANKI. I only used Booster's notes for these, they were goated. READING COMP (26): No real tips here. My passages were so chalked. Nothing interesting, and all above 12 paragraphs. It was BAD. However, if you know a question might take a while, just skip. I ended up skipping like 8 questions, but had so much time left over because I didn't waste it on anything, and was able to easily go back and find the answers. I would say just use search and destroy, which worked for Booster, but Bootcamp is a little more representative here because you had to read to somewhat understand. So I'd read the questions, and then read the passage. If I found the answer, I'd answer it and move on to next question and continue reading. This way, you're answering questions, while actually understanding the passage and it also helps you gauge where things could be when you get to later questions. Like on the later questions of the passage, I usually would have like a moment where I was like "Oh I read that somewhere" and scanned it quickly. This worked for me but everyone's different. QUANTITATIVE (24): BOOTCAMP MATH IS CHALKED! I literally didn't pull above a 20 on ANY of them. STICK TO BOOSTER for this. I was so demoralized doing Bootcamp math. Just know your combination formulas, permutation, probability combinations, and how to solve rate questions. My BIGGEST advice. Same as RC. If you dont know something, skip it. If you think something will take long, skip it. Skip, skip SKIP. Do what you KNOW. I ended up with like 6 blank with 13 minutes left JUST by using this strategy. Overall: Honestly, I just used Bootcamp for the BIO vids and the tests. I was able to do 20 tests - 10 from Booster and 10 from Bootcamp. This definitely gave me a huge advantage, so if YOU CAN, I would recommend doing that as well. If not, Booster is a great resource by itself. It's just that i couldn't read the Ferallis notes for the LIFE OF ME. The bootcamp High Yield was more than enough. You guys will be FINE. Trust the process. Y'all got it. If you have any questions, I didnt get a 26 or 27 like some other kids, but I will help in the best way I can! |

Okay, so I might be a masochist.
A few months ago I set out on a mission: beat Genealogy of the Holy War using only female units. It was a daunting task between soloing the prologue with Ethlyn, saving Patty in the desert, and making do with only two holy weapons in gen 2 (one of which was Naga), but I succeeded and chronicled my journey on here. It was some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing Fire Emblem and I thought I was done with it.
Except…
I just couldn’t get it out of my mind.
Little things I wanted to change. New objectives I wanted to try and reach. Strategies I wanted to clean up now that I had more experience.
Really the root of it all was Creidne. She is probably my favorite Genealogy character, and it broke my heart to not use her last time. Larcei was just the safer option to go with between her insane skill loadout and being able to inherit some busted swords. Creidne just gets pursuit. If she could just inherit a decent sword with 50+ kills, she could handle the first part of chapter 6 almost as easily as Larcei did with Lana’s support.
What if she can?
One thing I allowed men to do was buy items. It’s 100% necessary because of Patty’s situation, so why not take advantage of it for someone else? Have Ayra power up the silver sword, let Sigurd buy it at the last minute so Seliph inherits it, then Creidne buys it first thing in gen 2. She’d have pursuit, a powered up silver sword, and support from Lana which would be plenty to handle the part she has to solo (and set her up well to contribute moving forward).

- Can I get the speed ring in the prologue? It’s the only speed ring in gen 1 and it would half the number of attacks Patty would need to dodge in her join chapter. Spoiler alert: Yes. Yes I can.
- Can I get the knight ring? It’s a tough ask between the RNG and Ethlyn being the only one able to get there quickly but surely it’s possible. Some of my other feats in this challenge feel harder you know?
- I want to tweak what I did with Nanna…I did Beowolf as her father last time and I wasn’t 100% happy. She was the best candidate for the light brand but that magic growth was atrocious and I wasn’t a fan of accost (especially at the start). I want to go Llewyn this time for the better magic, better speed, and adept. No pursuit is unfortunate but hey that just means I’ll grab the pursuit ring for her (not like anyone else will need it).
- In general I just want to play more quickly/aggressively. Gen 1 especially had a lot of really slow chapters (310 turns for the prologue!) and while some are unavoidable (a lot of the prologue since Ethlyn needs to promote) I’d love to cut down on those turn counts

My wife (32F) got mad at me (32M) for accepting an offer from her to have a night off from watching our newborn after a deeply overwhelming day and is now wanting a divorce
I've always been a very passive and conflict avoidant person, partly due to being raised by a narcissistic and overbearing mother and partly due to being autistic (late diagnosed just a few years ago). I've just learned that the best way to deal with conflict or frustration is to take all of the blame myself, do more work to avoid conflict starting and then just shut up about it. My wife knows this tendency of mine and uses it against me oftentimes in arguments.
The first way she does it is when we have an argument about something she isn't doing enough of to support me, for example I have watched our child a lot during work (she's a SAHM and I work remotely usually) and wasn't able to get work done because of it or when I ask her if we can hug / touch more often...she usually either blames me not doing enough to make her want to touch me for or not saying something earlier or she goes nuclear and starts saying she's the worst partner / mother and doesn't know why we're together and we need to split up. This happens in so many arguments and it's really triggering for me because 1) I don't want to divorce, I love her and my family 2) I grew up in a house where my parents divorced and always fought. SO, in order to pull her back from the edge, I just stop trying to advocate my needs and try to reassure her that shes amazing and make peace.
The next way she does it is rarer, but hurts a lot more.
It's been a pretty hellish couple of months. Our 2nd child is about 8 weeks old, colicky and hardly sleeps. Since his birth I've taken on all of the night feedings and let my wife sleep 8-12 hours a night while I only get 2-3 between feedings. Yesterday I had to drive into work (a 3 hour commute total), when I got home I immediately took the newborn off of her because she was overwhelmed. Tried to get him settled down, which after an hour or so of scream crying and light sleeping, wasn't happening.
During that I got a message from my sister. She had a CT scan and they found a very dangerous infection in her nasal cavity that could kill her, they were surprised she was still functional. They're scheduling emergency surgery, but it's still a little ways out. On top of that I found out earlier that day that my dad is getting emergency knee surgery and won't be able to see me on Father's Day, which is was really looking forward to as I haven't seen him in over a year and a half.
I got overwhelmed, it was too much. Gently put baby down. She asked me what was up and I told her. I'm so burned out and started crying and fell on the floor. She came and...patted me on the head. She told me not to worry about cooking dinner (I do it 99% of the time) or taking care of night feeding. I cry for awhile as she just stands there and baby wakes up again, she goes and gets him while I make dinner. Once dinner is ready she gets upset because she has to hold him and wants to eat. So I take baby and get him settled down. She told me to get some sleep instead, I told her I don't think I'd be able to sleep because of all that was going on.
After getting baby asleep I came back out and talked with her a little bit about it. She kept on trying to find solutions when I just wanted to hug and be comforted. Eventually sleep came back up again and I told her I'd take care of him or I could just sleep a few hours and then take care of him. She insisted that she had him and then told me she didn't want to keep arguing about it. I said finally said okay.
She then immediately got mad and short with me, saying she needed to go take care of him and she can't comfort me. She then left me without saying good night or anything. Hurt, but tired, I went to bed thinking I'd sleep a little bit. Set my alarm for 2am and kept my clothes on incase I needed to take over, she came back in angerly to grab a pillow and didn't speak to me. Sleeping pill kicked in and next thing I know she's waking me up 2 hours later telling me angerly I need to take care of him. So I get up and do so.
Now it's the morning after and I told her how that hurt me and how she was using my needs against me. She just had excuses and then after those ran out she told me "this isn't working", knowing what "this" is (our marriage) because of how many times she does this I just walked away.
I'm just so fucking tired and anxious. It feels like the only choices I ever get when we fight is to shut up and listen to her needs and work my ass off to address them or get threatened with divorce because I communicate my needs.
How do I communicate with her better and in a way that she doesn't feel defensive and doesn't try to nuke our relationship constantly?
Tldr: I've been overwhelmed by taking care of our newborn all night for months. Upon learning about my sister having a potentially fatal infection I got even more overwhelmed. My wife offered to watch our newborn that night and then got upset and angry at me when I finally accepted her offer. Now she's saying she wants to separate after a fight. I need help finding better ways to communicate with her.

I just build a deck with ghalta and mavre as my comand and want to know how his ablity interacts with zopandrel, hunger dominus. If I attack with ghalta and zopandrel doubles it's attack would the dinosaur token I make have and stay 24/24 ? And if it dose stay the next time I make a token it should be 48/48 trampler ? Right. I want to buy next Operation to earn a little money selling all stuff I am gonna get from Operations but I don't know if I can make profit. I mean if I spent 15$ and doing all 100 stars, can I get 30$ or more? Or just a couple bucks of profit after covering the cost of Operation ticket? Also can you give me more info about Operations?

So having played a lot of Diablo 2 in the past, quite a lot of D3 and POE since 2015, i of course bought and played Diablo 4 as it looked promising and the game looked like it could maybe have a little competition with PoE
I'm not here to diss the game at all, i played till level 60 with my barb using a Rend build, but sadly i really can't enjoy the endgame. For me Diablo always was a license i'd buy and play again for it's story and lore, and then the "endgame" would come after, as for PoE i'd say the opposite, i just don't care for the story but excited as soon as i get to the endgame with maps. Just this time, i didn't like Diablo 4's story, thought it was rushed, too short, no expansion of the lore at all and full of flaws and things uncoherent.
So i thought that maybe they went all in with the endgame, but i was just disappointed again, i feel like there's 10 differents mobs on the map (and they're from D2/D3, not even original) and in the dungeons, theres like 6-7 diffrents bosses in dungeons ( i thought initially each dungeon had it's unique boss lol) and they're so easy to kill for most of them. Basically once you get to the end there's nothing really insane to do, it feels like as soon as you start World Tier 4 and play a little you're already wearing the best gear you can have, although i still have 40 levels to go, in POE i usually get that kind of stuff after level 90 minimum and after a bit of farming, here at 60 it really feels like you're maxed out, and basically at that point you either have two choices (since the rest of events aren't really challenging/fun) :
- run the same dungeon to level up faster (but for no reason cuz monsters just scale with you)
- runmythic dungeons from wo the nightmare dungeons but again, it's the same 10 dungeons everytime so there's very few diversity and you just feel like running in a circle, to get minimal optimization at the end
And here's where PoE is incredible, the endgame never feels redundant to me, the rotation in maps, the fact that each of these maps feel kinda unique with it's boss even if it's just a zombie with a different name. The fact that i probably played more than 10 seasons of PoE and still enjoy it this day is actually insane for a game. I can't think the same of Diablo 4 because the farming of dungeons for aspects, the altars of lilith ( :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) ) all of this, it's already boring me after only doing it once. Maybe i can't enjoy too much Diablo because of PoE, i don't know, i just feel like Diablo is way too "simple", the game doesnt have mechanics proper to itself, unlike PoE that introduces pretty new mechanics (even though it's seen in other games like rogue like for the Sanctum, mixing a rogue like system and a HnS game like that has never really been done afaik).
PoE was released in 2013, and the fact it's still so massively played today really shows how insane that game is, even though nowadays people have expectation on graphics and stuff related to it (animation, sounds), things PoE isn't really the best (until POE2 which looks gorgeous), the game knows how to re-invent itself, and bring more fun (something i lack a bit while playing D4) to the playerbase, and it probably is one of the only games being that "old" and still delivering that much towards it's fans.
