so, with NMS on sale again, and my desire to move to Steam, i posted to the Zendesk (under feedback) if they could copy my expedition rewards to my Steam account, like if it's possible, because i know those are account based (provided proof i logged into both accounts with screenshots of the Xbox and Steam launchers on my PC), and the day after, i started the Singularity expedition, and when i went to the space anomaly to grab my golden vector as i usually do in expeditions, it says i can't claim it. in fact it says i can't claim any rewards. from any expeditions. when i've done them all.
i created another support ticket as a bug stating i can't access those rewards (because i'd like to assume that's all it is, a bug). neither ticket has had any reply, or communication from Hello Games whatsoever. i even bought a copy on Steam before the sale ends just in case they went ahead and transferred the rewards over without communicating (as oppose to copying/crediting like i hoped they could do), and plan to refund it if the expedition rewards don't show up there.
i'm really angry at this because i did all the expeditions and i'm proud of that, but now that i asked Hello Games if they would help me in the process of buying another copy of the game and switching to that platform, it seems i've lost those rewards.
if anyone else has dealt with this and has more information that would be greatly appreciated, but right now i'm really upset. i'm gonna check each copy in case the rewards pop up on either, but once i get closer to the end of the refund window on Steam, i'm just gonna refund it and forget about switching platforms, and start trying to get those rewards back. i've loved NMS and Hello Games but this has really really upset me. i'm hoping that it's because it's just a bug, or because this all took place on Friday and weekends aren't workdays.
TL;DR: i asked Hello Games' Zendesk for a favor, to copy my progress from my Xbox account to my Steam account and help me switch platforms, and i lost them entirely instead, but am hoping it's a bug and not permanent.

Hello, I’ve had a bit of a strange experience with the DVLA recently and I’m hoping someone can shed some light on the best way to resolve this. Apologies in advance for the long post but I want to include the specifics so I’m clear.
I bought a car last year, the former owner transferred the registration to me online, in my presence; I taxed it, took out insurance and drove it home.
All was well until April 23, when I got a call from my wife saying that our car had been clamped on the residents’ parking outside, on our street. I was using a car I’d borrowed from my parents at the time, as mine (clamped) had failed it’s MOT due to a faulty sensor and I was awaiting the new part so had just left mine outside as usual.
Anyway, when I got home, I checked the note that had been stuck on the car by the clampers and saw that it was for unpaid road tax. Hmmm- checked my direct debit - still there but they hadn’t taken payment since January (it was now April). I couldn’t speak to anyone due to call volumes so eventually got through to a text chat advisor online.
I explained the situation to the chat person and they said the reason my direct debit had stopped was that the car was not registered to me and they only take direct debit until renewal and then don’t renew. They don’t notify the person they’ve been billing of any issues - they just clamp it.
I was baffled- I distinctly remembered the car being successfully transferred over to me and a confirmation webpage online. I didn’t receive paperwork or a confirmation email- though I put this down to Covid/working from home disorganisation commonplace at that time. However the DD was set up and seemed to be fine so I wasn’t concerned until this point.
I had a long conversation with the webchat advisor, explained it must be an IT or admin error and asked if there’s any way to escalate this and check it out. No luck at all - my mistake and their system is never wrong (paraphrasing).
To complicate matters, the lack of registration and MOT meant that I couldn’t just get the road tax issue sorted. The clamp meant I couldn’t get the MOT- catch 22. The car was going to be towed imminently and escalating clamping fees etc. I’ll cut this bit short but essentially I managed to get the part, gain a stay of execution from the clampers for towing and get the car unclamped, fixed, MOT’d and taxed.
In the process of working out how to do this, I’d called and finally spoken with the DVLA to explain the situation and get an idea of how to fix it. During the conversation we ran through the details and it turns out that their system shows that I HAD been registered as the keeper but had then been unregistered as the keeper. But she could t explain why. She said she’d start an investigation and get the VC5 document to me with my details.
I called again to check on the VC5 a few days later (I was still trying to stop getting the car towed away at this point) and was told that it was in the post and that I’d receive a letter explaining what had happened. I asked him could he tell me and he said that I had been registered as the keeper online but that the former owner had also posted the slip, saying he’d disposed of the car and so the record was then updated to there being no owner.
I’ve since received a letter with a fine (or court) for the having the car on the road in April with no road tax, in addition to the tax that was due from January -April. It’s not a massive fine but I’ve already paid £100 to the clamping company and spent an awful lot of time, hassle and embarrassment (neighbours etc) trying to get this resolved.
I can’t see how I can be considered unregistered as the keeper, yet liable for the fine or considered the registered keeper (at the time) but the direct debit not taken. I’m also confused as to how the former keeper can de-register the new keeper! I don’t want the hassle or lost work time (self employed) going to court but this all seems really unjust to me. Apart from not chasing up their paperwork, I’ve not put a foot wrong.

i opened my very first and only credit card 18 months ago, and i have been using it sparingly and for emergencies all while making the minimum (if not slightly over minimum) payment every month. i don’t have a very high limit, but i have almost reached it and the interest kicks in this month and i completely didn’t realize it.
my job does not pay me enough for all my other bills plus the interest i’m about to deal with. i have been actively looking for a second job for the last month or so, long before i realized the bit about the interest.
what can i do? i’ve tried raising the limit temporarily until i can pay it off in full but it won’t budge. i’ve been denied a personal loan.
has anyone had experience with balance transfers or getting themselves out of similar situations? i don’t have anyone else to ask as my parents are terrible with money and everyone else is smarter than to let themselves be put in a similar situation as me.
i don’t have enough to pay it off in full or make a payment including the interest in it. i live paycheck to paycheck right now, i didn’t when i opened the card.

My grandpa recently purchased a nardo grey 2019 Audi S5. Very nice car and stylish all the bells and whistles, etc. I was an auto body technician and I would prefer any person I know to ask me to check the car out before they purchase it, but that didn’t happen.
I go to check the car out today and drive it and see that the passenger side quarter panel was replaced. If you know anything in the auto body field, it’s that a quarter panel replacement is a very intrusive repair. this isn’t replacing a door or replacing a bumper, where you buy a new one, paint it, and it’s good to go; this is a major accident where the quarter panel had to be cut off and a new one welded on. Seams have to be cleaned up and filled with body repair material (bondo) and there is a total of probably 50-70 welds. Quarter panel glass, and the rear windshield also have to be pulled out. The repair looks awful with bad body work, peeling paint on the bumper and another spot, runs in the paint, etc.
You have no idea about who welded it, whether the repair is further behind the quarter panel and is mangled behind it, if it’s safe or not, etc. With a simple bumper replacement or repair, even the absolute worst job done to it can be repaired quite easily by getting a new bumper and having it painted properly and not have it be intrusive. Cutting an already replaced quarter panel off could potentially jeopardize the structural integrity of the car.
Background: one of my first body shop jobs was at kind of a hack shop, and this one dealership would feed us work but they wanted the cheapest prices and were okay with us cutting corners. It was a cash deal, the accidents these cars in weren’t reported, and the cars were sold at normal price as if an 18 year old body man didn’t just glue a bunch of shit on their car to make it “sellable”.
Also, any normal person who buys a $60k car and needs a quarter panel replaced will most likely go through insurance since it’s an $8k+ repair and they want to do stuff legitimately. But this tells me the dealership got this car with the damage and paid cash to have it fixed so it wouldn’t diminish the value of the car.
This car has a clean carfax with no accidents reported.
It’s only been 6 days since he bought the car, and I was wondering if there’s any legal action that can be taken. Or if anyone in here knows how car dealerships work to where we can resolve this.
My personal thought is he bought the car AS IS from a used car lot, so once the papers are signed he’s fucked. Thanks a lot for your input.

Yes, similar questions have been asked before and I've gone through them. Context: I'm trying to buy 11-months old car from a colleague, and sales taxes seem too complex.
A couple of clarifications that I need:

1. Would seller need to pay the salex tax to WA state? For example, if the car-value is 50K and he sells me at 40K, would he need to pay standard 10.1% tax on top of 40K?
2. If Seller doesn't pay that, would I (buyer) need to pay that in addition to the use tax?
   1. From what I understand, WA site - use-tax documentation says I'd need to pay 10.1% tax on "fair value" (KBB?) + 0.3% tax in total. Could someone confirm?
3. If Seller pays sales tax on bill of sale, would I still need to pay use-tax?

Have read so many websites and of course chat-gpt & bard but not getting a clear answer. Would very much appreciate some inputs.

Max is a detective living in Chicago He checks his pistol and puts on his police badge as he walks out his front door.
He has been searching for a serial killer known as the Caller for years and always been one step behind due to the red tape.....
More importantly the chief's lazy attitude towards getting search warrants and actions approved by the courts for raids. Twice Max had good intel on the suspect's locations and photo evidence showing him at the sites.
The department needs more vigilant, caring officers and leaders but no one steps up to do it, instead they just complain about the slow progress and officers. And hinder investigations.
Now Max has decided that it might be time to stop playing by the rules and catch this scumbag.... .... ....
Starting his car Max sets his GPS to the address that "The Caller" was last seen and pulls out of his driveway as the 50 miles of directions pop up.
The killer's nickname being for his signature of calling in as he is committing the crime.
As he drives he remembers his first case, five years ago now..... ..... .....
A woman, Joane Taylor, was found dead in an alleyway after going out for the night. She showed no signs of struggle leading the police to believe she had drank to much and expired from alcohol poisoning.... ...
The death was written off as a "party gone wrong".... That is until several more were found and the coroner decided on a whim to test for other substances.
Once it came out that the deaths were possible murders...
The calls started coming in, almost like the suspect wanted credit before revealing himself....
Then ways of the deaths began changing as the Serial Killer explored his twisted desires searching for his preferred method.

A second later the door is answered by a middle aged butler holding a tray with wine glasses on it... "Hello Sir, I'm sorry but this house does not wish to partake in any offers at this time..."
Max calmly says. "I'm not selling anything."
The butler looks confused for a moment before his eyes dart over Max's shoulder seeing his unmarked cruiser and he nods.
Looking past the butler Max sees that a woman is cleaning up after their dog.
"Have you seen this man?" Says Max holds up a picture of the one suspected of being the killer.
The butler gives it a once over before replying. "I'm sorry sir, no I have not." His tone sounds like he is lying... ....
"Are you sure?" The detective asks.
"I would not lie about something like that, sir." He states, his eyes not meeting Max's.
The woman calls from inside "Fletcher, who are you talking too?"
"Some man asking about a killer" he calls back.
"The killer is an inside job!" The woman quickly states.
"What?!" Max says.
"The Killer, it's an inside job." She says again, louder this time. In the same Max also hears a child begin to cry in another room.
"We should start from the beginning, it will be easier to explain trust me." The woman says.
'She seems to know what is going on....
"How do I know your story holds water?" He asks out loud.
"Oh I wouldn't lie. I have been following the case myself and it seems like an inside job to me." She states, somehow sounding hurt.
"Is there anyone else in the house besides you two and the baby?" He asks noticing the baby isn't crying anymore.
"Just Fletcher and I live here, the baby is my cousins but he just stays the night sometimes." She replies.
Max draws his gun and enters the house upon reasonable suspicion of an emergency in progress or suspect on the premisses as the man seems to be deceiving.
While the woman still seems unconcerned that the child is now silent.
He pushes past the butler and rushes towards the area he heard the crying. passes the entryway, the dinning room, and a kitchen before finally finding a child in a playpen.
"There there..." He says in a sing song voice picking up the child. "I'm officer Max, do you know where your mommy is?"
The child just cries louder.
Then he sees the man from the photo walk out of the bathroom, upon seeing him he bolts for the door and Max sets the child down gently then gives chase.
He runs through the house, following the man as he can hear the woman screaming at him to stop but he doesn't."
"Stop or I'll shoot." The man doesn't even break stride.
Instead he runs out of the front door and jumps into his car.
Furious that the man might escape he fires at the car as it drives away.
The back window shatters and he hopes he got his tire, but he doesn't wait to find out as he runs to his car and initiates a pursuit....
He flips on his concealed lights in his cruiser as he reverses down the drive and into the street.
The suspects car is fast but he manages to keep up with it weaving in and out of traffic as people move over for the siren.
As they approach a red light there is heavy traffic in the intersection..... ....
The suspect slams on his brakes and Max's cruiser only just stops short of hitting it. Jumping out the Detective points his firearm at the vehicle running up beside seeing heavily tinted windows.
"Get out of the car and on the ground now!!" He shouts as he moves to the driver's side door.
After seeing no response....
Max throws open the door and the driver is gone with the passenger side open.
He quickly runs to the other side catching the man trying to sneak off tackling him to the ground and then takes his arms putting them behind his back.
Max grabs his radio and calls it in as the man cries.
As he is waiting he hears a noise that sounds like static.....
"Wrong guy moron.. Did you ever stop to think I wanted you close for this one. That I planned everything...Even framing the pothead..... I almost lost interest until you pulled in the driveway... The attic is kinda cramped tho... I think I'll go carve some meat. Maybe graduate to other things to. I'm not sure yet. Lets see if you can catch me before......" A familiar voice says over the radio then cuts off... ...
Max looks at the man on the ground. "Why did you run from me?" He asks.
"Cause I have like 19 grams of marijuana in my pocket." He replies...
"Do you know how stupid that is?! I don't care about that I'm looking for a killer."
Before he can answer Max hears the woman from the house screaming for her life and a child's cries on his radio.
Then from below Max. "He's in the house, he's in the house! My mom and the baby!" The man on the ground says crying.
Max uncuffs him and runs to his car heading back to the house as he lays down rubber on the road... ... ...
As he approaches and pulls into the driveway he notices the front door is open.
"Hold on I'm coming!" Max screams jumping out of his cruiser...
He runs into the house finding the woman's body arriving too late. Moving over to her he checks for a pulse but she is gone, a large gash in her neck.
As he stands up he slips in a fluid but gains his balance and tries not to think about what it is....
He rushes to the room the baby was in finding the play pen empty. He leaves the room searching the rest of the house and still doesn't find the child.
"Where are you!!!" He calls out....
"This is the Callers first kidnapping and the media would eat up the fact I failed to stop the man." He thinks as he blames himself.
Sirens begin to blare in the distance as backup is about to arrive... ... ...
"There's a woman dead and a baby missing! The woman is in the dinning room straight ahead of the front door, Hurry!" He yells into his radio...
Looking over at the mother seeing a piece of paper on the floor.
He walks over to it seeing writing.
"So close... Looks like I'm a kidnapper now.... Good luck finding me.... And... I so enjoyed killing that sweet wife of yours. Might do it that way again. Not to the kid tho....later Max. Ps. This game is so fun.." It says.
"He was here..." Is all he can muster as the team enters.
"He was right in this house and I missed it because her son freaked over weed and ran..." He says as another officer speaks to him gently.
"Don't beat yourself up Detective, it's not your fault. He must have hid before you got her and left after you arrived." The words do little to comfort him "First day back on the job and the killer escaped taking a child..." He says as he walks away.
The chief arrives in his new lexus with a screeching of rubber as he lurches to a halt.
He quickly exits and leaves his door hanging open as he rushes into Max's face....
"I told you to stay away from this case MAX!!!!....(takes a breath)...
"If I catch any flak from my superiors, I won't suspend you.... That'd be to easy. Desk duty and an entry level demotion. The new guy will have a higher rank than you if things go my way.... Now get outta my sight...". "(Sighs)...
"This job is gonna be the death of me..." He says walking away from Max and towards the Coroner's van..... ..... .....
On the way home the detective stops by the store close to his house which is unlike him because he usually follows the same routine.
He nears the front door and he hears a kitchen timer ding loudly from behind him as his car explodes throwing him through the storefront windows as they are blown out..... .....
Alarms around the lot and others nearby create a cacophony of noise. His head pounding as his body aches, Max pushes himself up and collapses as the store manager runs over to him telling him not to move as he dials 911.... .... ....
Waking in the hospital Max recalls the feeling of the Shockwave as he flinches in phantom pain.
"Who woulda thought its like holding a ringing metal bat that hurts your hands but all over and way more intense." He thinks.
He suddenly feels tired and falls asleep.... .... .... ....
The next time he wakes, he sees a breaking news story that Jane Saltani is reporting on....
"Young toddler Accidently Shoots Serial killekidnapper ending his life and Alerting residents in the Area." The news anchor says.
Sighing to himself Max thinks about how crazy that is and laughs.
Tho he really wanted to bring the guy in. He closes his eyes to get some much needed sleep as his door opens.
Max looks up to see a man with a silenced pistol pointed at him.
"Hm. Now they think I'm dead. Funny how they just assume they got the right guy. Just like.... You did Detect... ....." Max hears but then hears no more as his end comes at just over the speed of sound....
The Caller leaves the hair of another intelligent convicted murderer that he obtained in a spot that's believable and quickly leaves.....
He disables the surveillance system and sends a virus out to any device that has received video data from the hospital.
Erasing and corrupting the systems. Leaving a master hackers finger prints on a glass from his home....
"Sorry, no witnesses." He says to the security guard as he fires... ..... ..... .... ....

I've not long bourght this house I'm in and it has a garage in a block of garages my neighbours keep blocking my car in and getting abusive when I ask them not to, aswell as writing "n0b"on my car roof now. I've never said they can't park in the area just leave enough room for me to get car out, last 2 days I haven't been able to get out and they refuse to answer the door. They just get abusive saying they parked there 10 years I should f off ect ect and claiming they own land they obviously don't and threatening to "do me in" All I ask them to do is move it over a bit in he can park closer to the opposite garage since I belive that's his own and no one else uses the garages because there really old and most don't have a roof anymore What's options do I have going forward Thanks

Back in November I bought my first car, a 323Ci 2000. The car needed an oil change right away so following my mechanic’s advice we used Pennzoil 20w50 as he said this was a good oil for the car’s age. However, I see that almost everyone runs 10w30 synthetic and I am worrying I might be in the wrong here so I want to change my oil again. What oil do you guys use for your 2.5 engines?

This is gonna be a long post, and I ask that you guys keep an open mind. Please don’t say “get over it” and “leave him” I want advice, I’ve seen the good in this man and I’ve seen the good in me, I think it’s worth a shot.
To begin with, me and this guy are religious, Im saying that because a lot of our decisions has been based on us being good in the eyes of God. We have been together just under a year, so when I mention an engagement later it’s because in our culture people get married within weeks. Also we never had sex because we wanted to make it special and do it on our wedding night, if that helps.
When we first met we were just friends and it was fine but we caught feelings, and we turned toxic. We both had bad experiences before, him never having a good relationship in his life (his parents always argued) and me always being cheated on or used. Because of this I asked him constantly to unfollow girls. We both agreed to this boundary btw we both agreed no people of the opposite sex but I was very very hurt in the past and I argued and assumed the worst out of everything. I was also hard to please, I know that and I’m ashamed of it but I completely changed. He heard some things about me from my past and it got to him, but he eventually got over it, and to this day apologises to me, because I’m not that person anymore. He always felt like he couldn’t see his friends because I’d worry, which wasn’t the case. I always wanted the best for him and I never wanted him to be “trapped”. He recently told me that he did a lot that he didn’t want to do, that I didn’t even ask for or WANT because he wanted to make me happy. He said all of our boundaries were fine (no opposite sex, focus on God, treat eachother well etc). But he was worried I’d react badly to certain things, which has clearly made him resent me.
We are both traumatised individuals if you can’t already tell, but we worked through everything. We became better and we were there for eachother. We became busier with our lives but still made time for eachother, we barely spoke but we still appreciated the time together. We no longer argued, we were finally comfortable. Then something big happened, his parents decided to divorce. This flipped a switch and he left me, of course I was blindsided to this. I cried and he stayed, and he left again 2 weeks later but this was a mutual decision. We decided to stay friends and wait for eachother and heal on our own, because what we had was worth it. I know I only spoke about the bad things, but there was so much good as well. We still kept one boundary, don’t date anyone else or see anyone else while we heal.
The issue now is, of course I’m heartbroken, we went from talking about an engagement to breaking up in just 2 weeks. I was okay and healing and becoming better, but last time we spoke I got so mad. I yelled at him, which I never have before and I pushed at him (not hard please don’t think I hurt him) and said I hate him, I don’t know how he could do this how he could lead me to believe everything’s okay when it’s not. He broke down, he cried and told me he’s sorry. He said he wants to try one more time, but that the feelings aren’t there anymore. He says he cares but he’s scared he’s too damaged he thinks I could find better etc. I know how he feels because I’ve felt the same before, but I never left. I just want to know how to fix this. How can I make it better? We weren’t the best but we still care about eachother, he doesn’t want something right now and it hurts but we’re waiting for eachother. I know he’s going through a lot right now, and he hates himself for what he did with us but I want to know how I can help him through this. We both became different people in the past few months, we healed our old traumas. His parents divorce has brought some things back, especially the fact that he always does things to make others happy at his expense. He thinks he’s cold hearted, but this man despite saying he doesn’t love me or even like me anymore, still checks in on me, still prays for me, still calls me to wake me up to pray etc. I refuse to believe the feelings are fully gone, we just need to heal.
I know there’s something still there, I know time can help us. I just want to help him, is there anything else I can do other than wait?
And please don’t say its hopeless, I know us and I know we can get better. How can I help him heal from the hurt he had? He does too much for others, I wish he never hurt himself thinking it would make me happy. We always communicated well on everything, I just wish he spoke up on things because I never knew he was hurting. He says we reminded him of his parents when we were toxic
How can I help a man that says he’s scared he’s too broken? How can I make him feel safe with me? What can I do to restart? I’ve been giving him space and I don’t want to rush things, I want to completely redo everything and take it slow this time and I pray it works

My mother lives alone, her house been paid off for decades but shes 70, overweight, and is a bad diabetic. I have to go there after work each day and draw her insulin, shop for her, pay her bills and taxes, mow her property, on and on. Shes becoming more and more bed ridden and its getting harder to deal with her needs since I'm not getting any younger myself and have to drive across town every time she needs something. Its really time for a nursing home or figure out how to move her in with me to take care of her more easily. The problem is I don't have the room in my house and the bathroom is upstairs which she isn't capable of climbing at the moment. Also I know she doesn't want to go to a nursing home so that's the last resort. I'm thinking I need to sell her house and use the money as a down payment on a bigger house that we all could live in and be able to take care of her in, it would be another mortgage that I will have to pay off, but at least we could have her under the same roof to give her better care. I could also rent my current house so that would help pay bills at a new place, along with her social security income... Those 2 things could supplement me and the wife's incomes and the new mortgage/bills. The problem is she keeps telling me she cant sell her house because her friend once told her the state is going to take it from her past medical bills when she had breast and skin cancers removed and the bills I guess were never paid but shes 70 on medicare I believe.... I had to enroll her in extra help to cover her insulin but that's all I know, all her past bills that were acquired when my father was still alive I'm not sure of. The whole medical system dealing with her medicare is hard enough for me to try to understand, everyday it seems she has a stack of new medical literature packets in the mail - I don't know how they expect an elderly person to understand any of it. anyway..... I remember reading somewhere that as long as she didn't die within a 5yr window after selling her house they couldn't come after it as an asset of hers to cover past medical bills. Any ideas,thoughts, or suggestions where to go from here?

That last chapter was so sweet, ahhhhh, it’s nice to see the two have such a good relationship. Well let’s move on to a more suspicious chapter shall we? “Yes I do.”
“You also know my children desire…no, crave to no longer be alone in this galaxy. The Humans and Zeyzell are fundamental, no, Vital for my children’s future. Mainly the Humans with their unique abilities to pack bond. Also since my children can pack bond, they will amplify each other's pack bonding ten fold creating unbreakable bonds. The Zeyzell are also changing. Even when exposed to a single human I have observed much change in them. They no longer shy away from xeno like foods, activities, or media and entertainment. They embrace and enjoy it.”
Wow, whoever is talking from that screen has a very odd voice. Loud and powerful. Yet…more? I dunno. Maybe daddy or mommy might know?
“Yeah, I know that effect very well. You couldn’t have picked a better species to bring to your children. They’ll get along VERY well. AHAHAHA!!” Wow he laughs weirdly.
“Yes indeed. The Zeyzell are no longer the Zeyzell they think they are. They are open to new species. They no longer use the term Xeno. This is all from the effect of only one Human, imagine what the Zeyzell will become when they are met with over twenty thousand!”
“Really?! You know we’re more are?! All the way out here?! Wait…do you mean…”
“Yes, I have located two ARK ships, ARK’s eight and twelve. Each has a population of over ten thousand. They have been wandering the stars for a while now. Searching for a home. I intend to give them, and the Zeyzell that have arrived at your station, a home. A place they can not only survive in, but thrive, a place to nurture and protect.”
“That’s a lot of humans! I’m all for it but can your children handle a population that big?
“Yes, I’ve been sending them more raw materials than normal, they will have more than enough. A lot of their planet is still wilderness so colonization shouldn’t be a problem. The surface area is also much larger than earths. Although I’m worried about the fragility of the humans on my children’s planet, the planet has much higher gravity then there earth, among other things. “
“Yeah, humans can be pretty tough, but they're still one of the most fragile and vulnerable species I have ever encountered. Like a child in a giant war suit. They may appear scary and intimidating, however all they wanted was to be loved, to be held and told, welcome to the greater galaxy, yet they got near genocide.”
“Yes it is despicable what happened to them, no species that kind and caring should have that happen to them. Protect the Humans and the Zeyzell, please. They are not the last of their kind, but I fear for them. I can’t bear to see anymore of their kind killed simply because of the way they look and what they eat. It breaks my heart. On this note however, I must also now keep a much closer eye on the Tesh and Wurnta. Since my discovery of them after their societal collapse I saw born survivors. However now they are threatened by a Sivkit herd that crash landed on their planet and I’m uncertain if they can survive a hatred so potent as these federation fanatics.”
“Ah, these two species again! You discovered them on one of your wanderings, yes?”
“Indeed, I remember it like it was yesterday. I passed by a planet of ice and snow, that I sensed once had a great life, imagine my surprise when I bumped into an artificial satellite. It was old, very old. It was ready to burn up in the atmosphere. My presence was obscured by the raging snow storms on their world so they did not see me. So I took a look at them. They are so full of promise these two are, working together to survive a harsh and dangerous environment. Many died and many lived. Now I see that their civilization is back. They are recovering from the collapse of their first civilization. Now however they face a danger that they have never faced before. Pure hatred, by an enemy who is pure evil to them. This Sivkit herd wishes for their extinction, their only crime? Their existence. To the Sivkits that is enough for extermination, and that makes my core BOIL. The two species are linked on a deep level for surviving on a planet together for so long. Something I’m hoping that my children will achieve with the Humans and Zeyzell.

The belly screen changed color but I still couldn’t see anything on it. The metal man’s hands went up to his face.
“AHHHH! THERE ADORABLE! I JUST WANNA HUG AND SQUEEZE THEM AND-!” The metal man dropped their hands to their hips. “Hmph! Guess I do have some competition. Anyway, I will do everything in my power to protect the Humans and Zeyzell, my lord. For I am your disciple.”
“Oh for- don’t say that! Or call me that! We’re friends Hazard!”
“HAHAHAHAHH! I know! I just like to get under your metal!
“Ohhhh, sometimes I swear…alright I’ll leave you to it, please don’t die too quickly. I can only bring you back so fast!”

The screen went dark and it went back into his belly, he turned around and…
“Why hello there little one? Where did you come from?”

He’s a friend of daddy? I perked my ears up.

He very gently picked me up. Then put me in his lap. I look over at the wall and I hear a faint sound. It sounds like…why is that person being ground up in that device?!?

“What? Are you-OH, I’m sorry you're too young to see something like that! He’s um, dead so I’m turning him into, uhhhhhh, fertilizer!

The metal man clasped his hands and made a beep noise with his speaker mouth thing.
“Not too long ago on a planet called Venlil prime, a unique Venlil was born. He had odd thinking, horns, and sharper then normal teeth!”
Sharp teeth? Doesn’t everyone have those? Even daddy has some.
“Now this Venlil was strange from the beginning, he would use his sharp teeth to eat hard and tough plant foods. He would use have to hid his horns, but when he didn't he would put stuff on them, like flashlights, lights, small flags and other Knick knacks. You know what Knick knacks are right?”
I didn’t but I nodded my head yes so he would continue with the story. I love stories!
OK then! Now these oddities on him got him many odd looks. His parents however used their influence to keep the bad people away. With their tubes of fire, their suits of foil, and their tanks of flames. He would spend much of his younger years alone, but alive. Then he started school. He was shunned and bullied by all his peers, casting him out of anything they did together.”
Hey that’s mean! “SQEUAK!” I stamp my legs in protest.
“Hehe, indeed! It was very mean! They would call him names, horrible names!” His metal skin moved around. Up and down…cooool.
“He never liked his own kind much, always preferring to be around the Yotul. As they were very nice, and never judged you at first glance. They were oh so kind and very sweet. They became fast friends. This is when he developed his curiosity with technology! Always testing and building something new to show his friends! They would play and sing, and use the things the Venlil built. They would look to him for help and he would look to them for friendship. One day the little Venlil was walking on the dark side of the planet. He would walk there often. Then one day he came across a dead bird. That had been EATEN!”
Huh? We eat meat all the time. What’s so strange about that?I gave him a very confused look.
“Oh right uh you eat meat. Anyway, this was very unusual. What was more unusual was this young Venlil was not scared, he was curious! He followed the trial the creature had left behind and found an injured night hound, at least that’s what he called them. These would roam the night, hunting for anyone out in the dark side of Venlil prime. The night hound had been caught in an exterminator trap. The night hound was starving because it had had no food for a long time. So, the Venlil walked back to the dead bird and brought it back to the night hound. And feed it. The night hound was very grateful! It yelled in delight and happiness. The Venlil felt happy that he had saved a life, freeing the night hound from the trap it bounded away! The next day, the Venlil went through his daily routine, wake up, hugged his loving parents, go to school, get harrassed and bullied, meet up with his Yotul friends, and walk home by the woods. Then the same night hound appeared! The two became fast friends! Spending much time together! The two were inseparable! He would show the night hound his amazing inventions! It was a very happy time…”
Why did he look so sad?
“Then the bad people came. They had heard about the strange Venlil boy, they wanted to meet him, and so they did. They followed him home one day, and tried to kidnap him! The Venlil boy screamed in fear! Then the night hound tried to rescue him, but he was no match for the tanks of fire. Then…the night hound was no more…the boy cried and wailed, the bad people laughed and laughed at the boy. They take him and he never sees his parents again…he’s taken to a strange place. A place he did not like. They did things to the boy, cried about how the boy was the worse case of predator disease…They kept him there for many years, transforming the boy, taking his teeth, his horns, his…life. After they added things, they added…metal.”
His hand formed a fist, wait? How does he and the boy both have metal skin? Maybe they can be friends!
“Then, the Arxur came. They took everyone, even the boy. They brought them to an even more horrible place. A place of misery and pain. A place where the boy was hunted for sport. The boy was very injured on one of those hunts. He was going away to the other side. Then someone saved him. A powerful being, a chaotic being. It made a deal with him. Take revenge on the Arxur and the Federation, and he shall never truly die. The boy agreed, eager to take revenge against them. So when the Arxur were preparing to eat him, he LEAPED UP! Then the hunters became the hunted. When the boy took many Arxur lives, they trapped him and put him in a dark cold place. There was no light and little food. The boy however hung in with the fire of revenge. Then the humans came, his angels, he saw them for the amazing things they were. True people! Ones who would care about you. He traveled with them, then the powerful being came back in a dream and gave the boy new orders. Protect the humans, and so the boy did, and does, to this very day.”
Wow! That was an amazing story! “Squeak squeak!” I clap my paws together.
“Thank you thank you! Now let’s call your parents…wait…I forgot to call them!” He then put his hand up to his ear. “He Alvaro? Yeah I know she’s lost. How? Because she’s on my lap! Yeah I’ll come up. I’ll be there as fast as possible! Bye! Alright, time to see your dad again my little listener! I probably need to work on my sorry telling, not that age appropriate.”

tL;dr I had an argument with boyfriend because he was texting another girl. I think he is cheating
My boyfriend (27M) and I (23F) had an big argument because he was texting another girl
I think I just broke up with my boyfriend. We have been not been together too long, about 5 months.
We were about to go out and I had his phone for a second to set up the wifi again. His phone buzzed the notification pops up. It was a girl and she had texted “when love I am in bed” so immediately I confront him about it and gave him his phone. And he’s like oh just my friend in another country.
I said “oh okay can i see the message, why is she calling you love?”
Then he’s like my word isn’t enough, “do you not trust me?” And we had a whole conversation about how uncomfortable that message made me and his unwillingness to not show me the context of the text if it was nothing.
I don’t care he has friends that are girls, I do have a problem that this girl is calling him love.
Mind you when we were talking he kept making excuses to use the bathroom or go to his car while in the middle of the conversation. I assuming he was attempting to delete messages from his phone or trying too.
After an hour of talking and telling him how uncomfortable that message made me feel and put some doubt into the relationship for me.
BTW I have never went through his phone or was suspicious of him. I thought it was reasonable to request to see the message and context of the conversation.
The conversation begin to be about how I didn’t trust him and shows my lack of faith and is disrespectful towards him to interrogate him like this.
Eventually he showed me the thread it seemed like they hadn’t talked since Monday. It was just a brief conversation they had today. But she is using heart emoji’s and calling him love. There is really nothing suspicious on his end. But i told him I did not appreciate him allowing her to call him love and kinda flirt with him.
Mind you he is holding the phone the whole time.
So I start scrolling up a bit. And see a message from him saying “you’ve got me all fired up 😍”
Before I could even ask he pulled the phone away and accused me of invading his privacy and taking things to far because I began to scroll.
I asked him about the other message and he claims to not remember what it was about.
We obviously had an argument because he was asking me to just trust him but honestly I couldn’t do that at that point because everything was so suspicious.
I asked him to leave my house because we were arguing and it just felt like the situation was more than it needed to be.
I felt like this was reasonable request to see the messages given the situation.

Hey, is anyone else having an issue using controllers to play it takes two on PC? (I bought it on the epic games store on sale and have been trying for the past 3 hours to use my two PS4 controllers connected to my PC for local co-op, but have had no success. (yes I did try running the game through steam as every youtube guide suggests))

I could really use some advice because i'm honestly feeling gaslit. So I (m35) met this friend(f27) on a dating app around ten months ago. After our first date she displayed some behavior that made it very apparent that we were completely incompatible romantically. I still thought she was a cool person aside from that and wanted to be friends. While she was initially disappointed, we quickly became very close, even best friends. We talked a lot but honestly hung out only a few times total, because literally all of her free time was taken up by dating a bunch of different guys. I of course have no problem with her dating people. That would be weird to say the least. The problem ended up becoming apparent, in my opinion, as her inability to balance dating and friendship. This point of view only became clear to me after I went on a trip a few months ago.
A couple of weeks before the trip she invited me to a st patricks day event. I was going to return from my trip before st patricks day and she was aware of this. During the trip we kept in touch with her saying how she can't wait for me to get back. When I got back I was feeling mentally pretty crappy. It felt like the trip had pointed out things in my life I needed to change. Some sort of existential ennui. I messaged her on a messaging app letting her know I was back, we exchanged multiple messages back and forth in under two minutes in which she stated she was happy I was back “Although idk when ima see u but still.” st patricks day was in a few days. I was like “wait what?! I thought you invited me to your st patricks day thing?” she then set her status to invisible and did not reply for three hours, until I eventually texted her that I needed to talk to her. When we got in touch, she answered asking what was up, appearing completely oblivious to the situation. I was polite and asked how she was, as she acted as though she had no idea what I wanted to talk about. She sounded strange, very flat, in my opinion. Honestly she sounded like she had been caught or something. But maybe that was just in my head. After the awkward mechanical platitudes were exchanged, I inquired about the st patricks day thing. she then non-nonchalantly stated that is was actually last week and that she didn't go. She did mention that she had a date that weekend of course. If there was an apology it was so brief and emotionless I don't remember it. I was quite hurt by the entire situation, and it was clear in my voice. I ended the call. She then messaged me asking if I was ok. We ended up having another conversation soon after about how I was feeling but I only spoke about the problem of my ennui, but not my biggest problem at that moment, her behavior. Later that night after the call I decided to travel some more. The next day I spoke with her about her handling of the situation. I repeated myself multiple times in an effort to let her know that I was hurt by her actions and didn't think what she did was ok. After initial defensiveness she finally seemed to accept fault and and became apologetic. She then said “we are going to hang out when you come back, when are you coming back?” I gave her the date and after my reply she said “it's gonna be our weekend we're gonna do xyz fun things.” The convo went on longer after that. just regular friend stuff. This was two weeks from my return date.
After returning from my trip in the middle of the week I messaged her. At one point I brought up our plans for the weekend. she then said that she couldn't hang out. She had a date that weekend on the day I was expecting us to hang out. I was shocked. I asked her if it was a bad joke. She loled and replied no, the guy was cool and they had been talking for a while. This time I was pissed, but felt like there must be something I'm missing. She can't really be doing this. I called her the next day rather than that day, in an effort to talk in a better, calmer frame of mind.
Now according to what her online “friend” later told me, she had been telling him that she wanted to be with him romantically for quite some time. She had previously told me not to mention anything about her dating to him. I found that an odd dynamic between “friends” but not my business. Also, they met online I believe when she was 14 and he was 21. I don't know. maybe that's neither here nor there.
Anyways apparently, he had found out about her dating very recently. They had apparently had a fight over it the night before and he had said some cruel things. She believed their “friendship” was over. Shortly thereafter is when I got in touch with her, Unbeknownst to me.
When she picked up my call she sounded strangely flat again, and again acting completely unaware of any problem. Exactly like before in my opinion. I was deliberately non-accusatory, asking her about her understanding about the previous situation in an attempt to see what her thought process was that would lead her to do a very similar thing two times in a row to her “best friend.” She then said she didn't recall me saying much about her actions being a big problem. All she really remembered was my travel ennui. I tried to explain yet again how it wasn't cool then, and it was even less cool now - in the calmest least accusatory way possible, but her demeanor was unchanged, emotionless, and totally unapologetic. What was worse is she started getting defensive about the previous incident all over again. After a while I became angrier and began to mirror her disposition. She explained that apparently when we talked, she didn't mean that we were going to hang out the weekend when I returned. She meant at some unknown point in the future after I got back. A week from then, a year from then, who knows. After she told me it was ok if I was disappointed, I corrected in a calm tone that i was "pissed." She graciously said that that was ok. She gave me a very brief, very half-assed very emotionless, “sorry for the miscommunication.” I could practically hear a shrug in her voice. I was in disbelief of her coldness and lack of caring as we sat there in silence for a while before I ended the call. That is where the messages start (i did link them in an AITA post). The tldr of the conversation can be summarized by the first 5 exchanges
her:i know I was non-chalant but I just had a friend breakup I care about our friendship, me:then you should have told me that because I just wrote off our friendship, her:yeah i'm sorry he was really mean to me, me:i'd rather feel physical pain than emotional, I can't have you hurting me like this i'm trying not to cut you off emotionally right now, her: “I know and i share that shutting down. And thats why i feel like youre already trying to shut me out but OP thats not fair. Im going to make mistakes. Im human. What matters is owning it, you sharing with me openly the problem ive caused, and you have to forgive me because i would hope by now youd know i am NOT other people. I am not those people. I essentially mentally kill myself when i fuck up and i dont need you to add to it[...] I always feel very deeply when ive caused any issue for anyone or made a mistake big or small so you being really hard on me is unhealthy for me and very hurtful. I need you to express your issue which you have now done and let me take it and apologize and you forgive me because you know me better than that OP.” I can't accept someone saying sorry I care so much while simultaneously being defensive, telling me i'm in the wrong for saying anything, and telling me that I need to instantly get over it - as an apology. The conversation ended with me telling her to just get some sleep and we can talk about it later.
A day passed without communication. The day after that she messaged me if we were going to hang out the next weekend or not. Her intent was to ask me if I was over it, or if she needed to replace my presence with the guy she had not yet gone on a date with, and didn't even know if she liked (it was confirmed by her during our next call weeks later that this was the meaning behind her inquiry, with her admitting to it being “bitchy”). On the day of the first call I didn't want to exacerbate her stress. I wanted to give her time to recover from her emotional distress and have a proper conversation later, and hopefully a proper apology. The problem is she never changed her tune from that first day. The subsequent messages over the span of two months was the result of my efforts to properly address the situation. In my opinion it was nothing but her refusing to talk about it, minimizing all her actions as a “miscommunication,” telling me i'm really the one responsible for the ongoing conflict for needing to talk about it and that my feelings aren't valid, and her asking if I want to hang out like normal. When we finally did talk, it was like pulling teeth to get her to see how anything she did was wrong when it came to her handling of the situation. To get her to see everything as more than a simple miscommunication. Asking her how she would feel if I had done x,y, and z as she did. After I finally managed to get her to see some wrong, she explained that she too was “pissed.” Pissed at me from day one, and remained pissed at me the whole time. She was pissed at me - because I was angry with her about her actions and response when confronted about them. So in response to having to be dragged kicking and screaming into seeing/admitting some tiny modicum of fault, and giving me the most forced, single sentence, half-assed apology, she then asked if I could understand her point of view of her being pissed at me. I absolutely can not. is the way she handled this situation worthy of ending a friendship. or should I just “get over it” as she has been directly saying and implying ever since the beginning of the issue? how can i make her see my point of view?
TLDR, I feel like my friend was careless about my feelings and was willing to throw our friendship in the trash for every random guy in the city. After raising the issue, I feel the way she reacted with defensiveness, indifference, and passive aggression was pretty much as bad as it gets. Is this worthy of ending the friendship or should I just “get over it” like she says.

To anyone who might need this.
Seek for brief moments between thoughts. Moments will become minutes. Minutes will become hours. Hours will become days. Days of being aware.
You don't need to meditate like a monk. Do it while you're ironing your clothes. Do it when you are driving. Do it whenever you can. Simply, be aware of the present moment.
Be aware of what you feel. Feel of what you are aware. At first this might seem very tiring. Exhausting even. But you will get used to it. It won't be tiring anymore once you understand how to bring the background attention of the present moment. This state will be your best "power supply". That is the first step to know yourself. "The key is silence" they said. I'd recommend you to reduce the amount of noise. Turn of the radio in your car or at your work. Stop feeding yourself with stimula. Start feeding yourself with silence.
If you consider that anything you encounter, is an obstacle to experience the now, then I ask you what is the obstacle if not the experience. The obstacle you think you need to overcome is the experience you brought to yourself unconsciously. So you could use it as a ladder. You literally brought something you really needed. You don't know this yet.
Look in the mirror. See yourself in the mirror. See what you bring to yourself unconsciously. Acknowledge it. The mirror is the outside world. Any unconscious action is the mirror. The mirror is you. But separation won't let you experience it fully.
Look in the Mirror, and see the Creator.

After digging into literature, I found that the story of the legendary knight Cid Campeador, sounds to me like the story of a mercenary Mechwarrior, instead of the usual legend that shows him as a religious warrior. It does not take too much to export this story to Battletech universe, and indeed I plan to add a version of him to my Mechwarrior Destiny game at some point.
The following is a summary of "Historia Roderici" an old Spanish text that may likely be inaccessible to English speaking readers, not only because of language barrier, but also because of the ancient Spanish words that are difficult to understand even for modern Spanish speakers. You will discover that Cid Campeador was not a religious hero, but a merc.
I believe it could be used as source material to inspire a novel.

Rodrigo "Ruy" Díaz de Vivar is also known as Cid Campeador, and some people believe he was a religious hero but others see him as a mercenary. The oldest biography is "Historia Roderici" in 1190 when the Castillan warrior had passed away 80 years ago. This biography was made popular via minstrels, and it incorporated many fictional episodes that composed "Cantar del Mio Cid" around the year 1200. For example, there is no evidence that Rodrigo had 2 swords called Tisona and Colada, and a horse called Babieca. He had 2 daughters but they were not named doña Sol and doña Elvira.
Spain was invaded in the year 711 from the south and only a small strip was left at the north where Christian kings would seek a safe haven. The invaders ruling lasted for 800 years but these years also were full of internal disputes, just like in the Inner Sphere.
The war in Spain was always portrayed as a holy war, like a Jihad. This was the time where the term "pariah" was born. The non Christian rulers paid tribute called pariah to Christian kings in exchange for protection. And that was the historical context of eternal war.
Rodrigo was born in the small town of Vivar, near Burgos. His father was a low rank noble, but his mother was from the elite of nobles, daughter of count of Oviedo. The last name Diaz indicated he was son of Diego. When he was 10, his father died, and he was sent to the court of Fernando I de León, to complete his education with the sons of the king. One of the sons, Sancho turned Rodrigo into his page and became close friends. He receives high education and learned to fight. He knew how to read and write, something very uncommon.
When Rodrigo was 15 he went with don Sancho to Zaragoza, a territory which was under the protection of Fernando I de León in exchange for pariah. Ramiro I de Aragón uncle of Fernando I de León wanted the land under protection, and this is how Sancho and his "mesnadas" (forces under command of a lord) went to help. Ramiro I not only was defeated, but also died.
When Fernando I (ruler of Galicia, León and Castilla) died, he distributed his kingdom among his 5 sons instead of having a linear succession, because Alfonso, his second son, was his favorite. Sancho ruled Castilla and had the right to collect the pariah of Zaragoza. Sancho did not like the distribution of land, as he felt he should have been the heir of the whole kingdom. He entered a conflict with his siblings. Rodrigo ended up being in charge of the army of Sancho. In his first one on one match defeated the Alferez of Navarra kingdom, Jimeno Arcés. This is where he earned the title of "campeador", which means he is a master of the battlefield.
After his mother died, Sancho started war against Alfonso. Rodrigo skill surfaced among all other warriors. Sancho won the battle, but Alfonoso escaped and did not surrender as agreed. Instead, Alfonso agreed to allow Sancho to conquer Galicia ruled by his younger brother García. García was defeated and was and outcast who escaped to the taifa of Sevilla. But that did not end the war with Alfonso. In the new battle, Rodrigo skill shined again. And Alfonso was defeated once again. Alfonso was an outcast too, and he went to the taifa of Toledo. The reunification war ended. But it would last a few months.
Zamora was ruled by his sister Urraca. Many nobles gathered there and they did not embrace Sanho as the king. Urraca supported them, and supported Alfonso. Sancho sieged Zamora for months, but it did cost Sancho's life at the hands of a Zamoran warrior, and not even Rodrigo could stop that. The killer pretended to defecte from Urraca city and earned Sancho's trust. The defector Bellido Dolfos was going to show him a weak spot in the walls of Zamora, and when Sanch went to the loo, the defector took Sancho's spear and killed him. Alfonso became king. García attempted to recover his kingdom but ended in prison where he died. Alfonso married Rodrigo with doña Jimena, relative of Alfonso and apparently Rodrigo was deeply in love with her.
Rodrigo was sent to collect Paria To Sevilla, and García Ordoñez, close friend of alfonso was sent to Granada. Granada ruler asked Ordoñez to attack Sevilla and that Rodrigo had to fight García Ordoñez and made him prisoner and set him free later. García Ordoñez accused Rodrigo of stealing a portion of the pariah of Sevilla, which are believed to be the gift of Sevilla ruler to Rodrigo for defending his land.
Alfonso went to Taifa of Toledo, and Rodrigo was sick at home. There was an attack on a castle and Rodrigo reacted without asking for permission, chased the attackers who entered Toledo territory and Rodrigo took a huge loot, Alfonso was so upset because that destroyed Alfonso's plans to own Toledo without a fight. García Ordoñez presented this to Alfonso as an attempt to make people from Toledo to kill Alfonso. So Rodrigo became an outcast, and he was exiled and had to make a living. Along the road, many men joined him. He went to Zaragoza to offer his services. Now Zaragoza should not have to pay pariah to different kingdoms for protection.
This contradicts the jihadist nature of Rodrigo as a religious warrior. After the ruler of Zaragoza died, his 2 sons also fought. Rodrigo stood in the side of Zaragoza, and the opponent sought help among the kings in the north. The enemy forces outnumbered Rodrigo's but he defeated them in the battle of Almenar.
An uncle of the ruler of Zaragoza, who was prisoner of Alfonso, earned the trust of the alcalde who controlled the prison, so the alcalde passed the message to Alfonso. The uncle offered him the castle of Zaragoza in exchange for paying the pariah to Alfonso. So Alfonso marched towards Zaragoza. But Alfonso this time was not ahead of the forces. He sent scouts who were killed. It seems that the uncle died while the expedition was on its way to Zaragoza, so the alcalde had the idea of becoming an ally of Zaragoza and tried to kill king Alfonso.
Later Alfonso met Rodrigo and Rodrigo told that he had no part in that betrayal, and Alfonso and Rodrigo went back to normal relations without hard feelings.
Alfonso managed to conquer Toledo and that meant a raise in the pariah for other taifas. But religious fundamentalist fanatics from northern Africa were asked to help and their fanatism made them fearsome. Alfonso had Zaragoza under siege, and Rodrigo did not want to fight Alfonso. But news came from the new invaders and the siege stopped. Then the battle of Sagrajas came, where Alfonso suffered a defeat. Alfonso had to escape to save his life. Rodrigo went to Toledo to offer his services to Alfonso.
Alfonso commissioned Rodrigo to take care of the invaders and conquer lands, and to collect the pariah from Zaragoza, which had Rodrigo working as a merc for 6 years.
But good relations did not last. During a campaign Rodrigo was supposed to reinforce Alfonso's forces, but Rodrigo did not arrive. Rodrigo was exiled for second time after García Ordoñez made the king feel betrayed. Alfonso took his property and made his family prisoner. Rodrigo begged and his family was set free. And he became a warlord in Valencia and fought against both sides.
Rodrigo suffered an attack and he took revenge against García Ordoñez and led an expedition to do exactly that and looted along his way. Alfonso gave away these lands and no one wanted to fight Rodrigo. Now the only enemies of Rodrigo were the invaders in the south who attacked Valencia and killed its ruler. Rodrigo sieged the city and help did not arrive so they surrendered, and Rodrigo self proclaimed himself prince.
The invader Almoraviles forces were obsessed with taking Valencia. And epic battles took place.
