I’ve been working with CS for 2 weeks now and I’m almost ready to give up on Eufy products. They even sent me a replacement unit that is having the same issues.
I have an S330 Dual Camera Wired Doorbell that refuses to connect to either the 2023 model Xfinity XFi Gateway or my Macard WiFi extender. I’ve run through the checklist multiple times:

• Yes it’s on a 2.4 GHz channel split from the 5 GHz channel
• Yes, it’s not a guest wifi channel
• Yes, it’s a WPA2-Personal password
• Yes, I’ve double checked the password
• Yes, I can connect to my phone hotspot and have updated the Firmware
• Yes, I’ve tried moving every distance between next to the routeextender to 10+ ft away
• Yes, I’ve restarted the router several times during setup
• Yes, I’ve reset the doorbells multiple times by holding the button in the hole down for 10+ seconds

I’m hoping someone here has had a similar issue with the new version of the XFi Gateway and been able to resolve it, otherwise I’m going to give up on Eufy products and move to a different brand

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using. 

-Hardcore gaming with this PC and possibly streaming. Gll AAA games now and for the next couple/few years. Competitive online games like MOBAS (LoL), CoD and other FPS, MMO's locked/above 144FPS (144hz monitor)

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes? 

-Between 2000-2500€, biggest performance for the buck in this range.

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy. 

-Asap, this month.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc) 

-CPU, GPU, motherboard, RAM, case (everything besides monitor, keyboard and mouse)

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location? 

-Portugal, but can purchase stuff from spain (amazon.es or any other store with deliveries to portugal).

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated. 

-Im keeping keyboard+mouse and monitor - Both razer, monitor: not sure about the model, an asus w/ 144hz.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU? 

-Not sure, not an expert so id say no.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, 

-DDR5 Ram, 1tb SSD, the best in terms of performance, dont need more space, I dont tend to play more then 3 games at once and a top graphic card like 4080 or 7900 XTX

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics. 

-Ethernet cable (wired). No need for anything here

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components? 

-Not really, as long as it has good airflow, the parts fit inside and has overall decent quality im good. (Looking good is a plus/ nice to have, not a must have).

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference? 

-No
Im not sure if im picking the right parts for the price or if I could be getting better ones or at least good matching alternatives.
Do I really need a CPU cooler, are they worth it?
Is my power supply good enough?
Does everything fit in this case?
Is the case good enough (air flow wise)?
Would you change the Graphics card model to NITRO+, saphire or merc?

I am looking to replace my Eero system with Unify. Primarily because my Eero system is great when it's great, and terrible when it's not.
I will eventually want to setup a few VLANs - Private, Guest, IoT (maybe an additional one for kids). I unfortunately have 2 areas where my cat5 is bundled and I have 1 cat5 running between 2 switches to connect them. I have 3 Eero pros right now, and 2 beacons.
After reading through the sub quite a bit and doing some research online I am thinking my setup will include the following
Fiber - Firewalla gold(already own this) - Unifi Flex Mini Switch (I will need 2 of these due to having 2 areas where cat5 runs to in my basement.
I THINK I want to use the Cloud Key G2 Plus controller and have 1 In-Wall AP's, and 2 U6+ APs. The reason I ant 1 in-wall AP is because I like to hard wire devices near this access point. The other 2, I do not care as much about hard wiring in those areas though I do have a Cat5 there so the AP will be hardwired. I might need 1-2 U6 extenders to extend wifi to areas like my detached garage where I currently use a beacon.
Can you experts tell me if I am on the right path here? Am I wasting time/money moving away from Eero? Am i completely off in regards to my setup? Are there better ways to do this?
Also - Is this interface for Unifi easy to setup and navigate? I imagine I will do most of my setup within firewalla once I am up and running.
I tried to do as much research before posting as I could. But Unifi is very new to me, I am tech savvy but I am not a network pro by any means.

Hello everyone, quick story... Years ago I got led into producing and got given programs from another producer that ended up being cracked versions that had potential malware on them... the big problem is that the laptop and desktop I installed the programs on now were still in use. The laptop in the meantime I tried to check for malware but couldn't find anything plus I switched the ssd for a new one in hopes to fix it (but as far as im aware now, this just gets fucked again by the fact it got connected to the wifi network at home). The desktop is untouched and nothing comes up as malware but I have one problem that is like, whenever I boot up the pc it feels as if something is running in the background and like lessens the performance of the pc and the moment I open task manager (which at that point it will state 100% usage) it then goes down to 20% and acts normal again but if I don't open task manager this issue just continues. I have tried to scan and search but couldn't find malware or so on it.
Now the problem I face today, I was young and unfazed about all this but now realised the dangers of it, in the past 4 years this has been going on and I have potentially infected everyone at home and every guest that ever connected to our WiFi and ofc all the devices that ever got connected to the laptop or desktop.
My questions are, there any way to fix this or get rid of it all to be able to start clean?
Btw, I don't have that much understanding about this stuff... so sorry if I don't understand smth. I for real need the help

Hi,
Does any one know if it's possible to turn a Pi 4B into an access point while staying connected to the same wifi access point it's connected to the internet with using the same wlan0 interface?
In other words, can I stay connected to a 2.4Ghz "Public WiFi" network while broadcasting a 5Ghz network called "5G Network" all on the same wlan0 interface?
I tried to test this on a Pi Zero W but it died and won't connect back online now.
I have a Raspberry Pi 4B, Echo Dot 5th gen, and a hotspot with my Grandma but the hotspot is unresponsive. The Alexa and Pi were both supposed to connect to the hotspot network so I could call my grandma but the hotspot is probably locked up from being plugged in so long.
The Raspberry Pi picked up an open network and now it's back online. She's a plane ride away so it's not easy to go troubleshoot this and her 90th birthday is in two weeks so I've been trying everything I can to get this to work again.
I don't know how to post it on here but I've been working on a script that will try to rescue the pi if there's no internet and reboot it, that might be all done.
What I am stuck on is the hotspot part. If it's possible to make a hotspot network called "5G Network" using a 2.4GHz connection to "Public WiFi", then it's possible I could get the Alexa to work again so I can call my Grandma but I'm worried about killing the pi if this doesn't work out.
Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated, thank you. If this isn't the right place, does anyone know where I can get some help?

If this isn't the right place, does anyone know where to get help please? My grandma's 90th birthday is in 2 weeks and I'm trying everything I can.

I recently purchased the G14 2023 with the 4080. Right out of the box, before even turning it on, I increased the RAM capacity to 32gb (added a 16 GB stick in the empty slot). Since then, I replaced the old 1TB NVME SSD with a 2TB SK Hynix Platinum P41 NVME SSD.

1. Save all your files or back them up (documents, save files, etc.)
2. Download and save the MediaTek Wifi driver. Go To Device Manager to see the specific model that you have. This you should download and save to a USB flash drive.
3. I read in previous posts that you should back up the folder containing the color calibration for your monitor. I didn't do any of this. I don't think I need them. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). Since I'm replacing the old NVME drive, I will still have access to this via an external mount in case I need to access any of the files.
4. Use the Media Creation Tool creator to make a bootable USB drive
5. Once all the pre-work up as been done, go ahead and open up the laptop. Just remember when you're unscrewing the bottom panel, one of the corner screws in the 2023 is not going to come out all the way as it is a captive screw. There are plenty of videos on how to upgrade this so I'm not going to delve into this.
6. Once the SSD has been changed, plug your bootable drive into your laptop and start it up. Hit ESC to boot into it and install Windows 11. Keep in mind that you may need to reconnect the barrel connector for power when booting it for the first time like this.
7. The only thing to keep in mind is that Windows 11 does require you to have an internet connection. I had a USB to ethernet jack lying around in my house, so I just used that to complete the installation process. However, if you don't, there are workarounds you can find on youtube. This is one I used in the past, I think this is still working
8. Go ahead and complete the installation process.

Drivers and updates

1. Once everything was installed, the first thing I did was run Windows update a few times. I let it grab whatever updates it asked for. After each restart, I ran windows update again until I got the sign saying "System Up-to-date"
2. I headed over to AMD's website to install their utility to auto-detect and install the remaining drivers and updates. I saw there were a few AMD updates listed under the Windows update, but I wanted to run this as well to make sure I got everything. I don't know if this is 100% necessary or not, but I wanted to do it anyways.
3. Next, I installed the GPU drivers from nVidia directly from their website
4. Next, I went to Asus's support page to install some of the drivers listed there(namely the card reader and the touchpad driver). This is when I also installed the WiFI driver
5. Lastly, I installed G-Helper.

I didn't install Armory Crate because I'm able to get full functionality with g helper, which is minimal and easy to use than the over-complicated Armory C te. I have full access to the backlight as well as the AniMe Matrix.
Performance
Since doing the clean install, I was surprised to see there were performance improvements that you can see on the chart below:

Battery I feel like I'll still need to use it for longer and go through all the optimization guides from this sub. But so far, looking at my use today, I think 1 charge will last about 6 hours on Silent/Optimized mode.
Notes
-Although the G14 can accommodate PCIe gen 4 NVME drives, I would have opted for a Gen 3 drive if I didn't hav a spare Sk hynix platinum. Unless you have a specific use case scenario that would benefit from gen 4 NVME such as vid o editing or you professional crystal disk mark runner, you are unlikely to notice any difference in load times for games, programs, or Windows startup with it. Gen 3 NVME drives can be cheaper by $30-$40 compared to their gen 4 counterparts of the same brand. So just something to keep in mind when looking for a new drive. You're better off either saving that money or spending that savings towards a drive with higher capacity/reliability.
-Most guides will say to unplug the battery from the motherboard before making any internal changes. That is the smart thing to do but for some reason I couldn't get it to disconnect even some using a flat head screw driver to push it off. So I did my whole drive upgrade with the battery plugged in (with the laptop off and chargers disconnected, of course). So far, everything has been okay.

So I wired up my shelly plus 1 with direct 230v ( in UK ) to the Live and Neutral.
The I and 0 go to a 3-way wago connector. On the "I" line, I have the first of the two wires used for the switch button that toggles the door open and close, the 0 line goes to another 3-way wago with the second of the toggle button wires. In the third slot on the 3-way, I have essentially a "pig tail" that goes back to the garage unit, and plugs into the two slots that the original button toggle was wired to, in exactly the same order.
Able to see the device, get it on the wifi, access it from the ip gui webpage no issues.
Here's my issue. When I hit the button to trigger the garage door, I hear the relay click, but nothing happens. When I hit the door toggle button, or the remotes in the cars, the door opens as it should.

What am I doing wrong?

I've been using my ASUS AC87U behind the AT&T gateway via passthrough without any issues for over a year. I host a Plex server as well as a Jellyfin server, and also have a third party monitor app for Plex that runs as a server. Port forwarding and internal LAN performance has been great and worked as expected.
Mid May, ASUS pushed out their emergency security update to everyone, and since then, my 87U has needed to be reset daily, sometimes multiple times a day to restore full functionality. I've factory reset, downgraded the firmware, upgraded the firmware, and no change in performance. The router itself is about 7 years old, so I figured I'd just upgrade to an AX58U.
Here's where the problems begin... I set up the router (change to the LAN IP range I prefer), change the passthrough to the MAC of the new router, reboot both devices, and the router reports the expected WAN address and I have full internet access for all of my devices. Great! BUT... port forwarding does NOT work. Not only that, but while I can use RDP to connect to other devices on the LAN, no devices can ping each other.
After factory resetting both the BGW320-500 and the AX58u multiple times, I thought maybe something changed with AT&T... I reconnected the AX87U and... Port forwarding and LAN discovery worked exactly as expected. I reconnected the AX58U... no port forwarding or LAN discovery. Yes, I reset the Passthrough MAC each time.
Thinking there was just an issue withthe 58U, I returned it and purchased the more advanced AX82U. Unfortunately, I had the exact same experience. The correct WAN address is reported by the router, but port forwarding doesn't work and I can't ping between LAN devices even though I can RDP directly to them and they have outbound internet access.
Things I've tried: - Factory resetting the BGW320-500 gateway. - Factory resetting the AX58U and AX82U - Verifying all the new router settings match the AC87U where possible - Verifying the correct MAC address is set in the pass through mode. - Made sure all Firewall features of the AT&T gateway are disabled. - Pinging from both a wired and WiFi connection - Turning the router firewall off
Because everything works fine with the AC87U, I don't think the AT&T gateway is the problem. I feel that there is an issue with the ASUS firmware... Either that, or I'm missing some check box or toggle in these WIFI 6 routers.
Any suggestions on what to try? I'm about to run out and try a Linksys or Netgear just to see what happens, but I'd prefer to stay with the ASUS if possible!
