My Pixel 4 took its last breath earlier this week (motherboard died) after serving me well for a little over 3.5 years. Sucks that this happened especially since I recently replaced the battery last year in July.
Anyways, I was using a spare device (e.g., OnePlus 5) while I was searching around for a new phone. I considered getting the Pixel 7a (was out of my budget and didn't really feel like financing the phone), Pixel 6a ($199 promo deal on Google Fi), and the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) ($149/$250 on Google Fi/Amazon - mainly due to increased/expandable storage).
After some careful consideration I decided to get the Pixel 6a. I was surprised how fast the shipping was considering I used the economic/free shipping (literally arrived the next day lol). I'm currently still waiting on some accessories (i.e., screen protector, lens protector, 2 cases - 1 official from the Google Store and 1 from Amazon, as well as a Qi wireless receiver). Finished setting the device up yesterday evening/today early morning and here are some of my thoughts:

Finished setting the device up yesterday evening/today early morning and here are some of my thoughts:
- Definitely larger than what I'm used to, but not a deal breaker. I really like the screen to body ratio.
- 60hz isn't a real bummer even if I was spoiled by the Pixel 4's 90hz screen. Might be due to the Tensor G1 chip, but everything feels really smooth and hasn't had any issues/lag with animations.
- Display seems to have a slight rainbow effect when looking at it from different angles, but still looks great nonetheless.
- Miss the squeeze for assistant feature, but trying out the swipe from navigation corner to bring it up. Might test out the quick tap feature to bring up the assistant at a later time.
- Fingerprint scanner works pretty well. Sometimes doesn't register correctly when placing it on the scanner, but for the most part it unlocks with no issues.
- Speakers sound great. No real issue.
- Nice to have 5G now, but I haven't really tested it yet.
- Can't really comment on battery life yet since it's barely been a day, but it does look promising. Definitely an improvement over the Pixel 4.
- Lack of wireless charging is a bummer, but I'm going to try to use a Qi wireless receiver to mimic this option. If it doesn't work well, then I'll suck it up and stick with wiring up the phone.

Hello everyone.This week we received an update; a shakup to the meta...potentially. If anything, this is a great addition to the toolkits builders have. Four new Advanced R&D Consoles were released, two science and two engineering.
In addition, we also see an upgrade to alternative, improved even, batteries.
Advanced Consoles - Unlocked for all characters
These consoles have a unique property which allows slotting only one of a specific profession of consoles. You can still slot multiple of them, and their effects stack, but you can only have one of Science, Engineering, or Tactical. While we only got two new crafted types, the signifying mark for these equip limit consoles "Advanced" has been applied to the Spire Tactical Vulnerability exploiters and locators.This means that to use these new consoles, we have to remove the existing locators and exploiters on our ships to slot the new consoles, a common issue I've seen people have over the last couple of days.
This doesn't mean that our Spire consoles are invalid, just that we have new tools at our disposal for building. Additionally, all the new consoles plus the existing spire consoles have been given re-engineering capability.
New Science Consoles
- Console - Advanced Science - Energy Field Gradient Projector
- This Console adds a Shield Siphon enhancement to Drain effects, Draining Foe Shields and Healing the user's Shields. Each Console equipped improves the power accordingly, so 3 Consoles makes it 3x as strong and so on. The amount Drained scales with Drain Expertise and the amount of Shield Healed scales with both Shield Healing and Drain Expertise.
- Defeating a Foe during Shield Siphon provides a stack of Analysis (max 50) until the player is defeated or leaves the map. Each Console provides increased Hull Penetration per stack of Analysis.
- Note: These consoles might be currently bugged and not applying to nearly all drains; things that specifically call out -All power over a period of time appear to be the only things this console effects. Shield Drains, single time power drains, and discrete subsystem drains are not applying this consoles effect. This could be bugged, this could be the consoles intent. It's hard to know for sure right now.
- Console - Advanced Science - Exotic Particle Amplifier
- This Console provides Base BOFF Ability Damage based on EPG (up to 500) and Bonus non-BOFF Ability Exotic Damage based on your EPG (up to 500).
New Engineering Consoles
- Console - Advanced Engineering - Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifold
- The most straightforward of the bunch, this console improves Weapon Power and Max Weapon Power. It stacks with all other forms of Max Weapon Power.
- Console - Advanced Engineering - Hangar Craft Power Transmission
- This Console improves the Weapon Power and Max Weapon Power of pets, as well as providing Bonus Torpedo damage to them. The buffs are increased by 40% per Rank, so 5 star Hangar pets receive +200% of the bonus, or 3x total. Max 25 pets affected.
New Batteries - Unlocked at rank 10 Crafting schools
These share the same cooldown as the normal batteries of each kind, and have the same magnitudes in buffs, however they gain a secondary effect:- Beams: Advanced Battery - Energy Amplifier
- +30 Shield Penetration Skill (+1.5% Shield Pen)
- Cannons: Advanced Battery - Targeting Lock
- +1.5% Critical Chance (global)
- Engineering: Advanced Battery - Hull Patch
- +50 Damage Control Skill
- Projectiles: Advanced Battery - Kinetic Amplifier
- +5% Critical Severity to projectile weapons
- Science: Advanced Battery - Exotic Particle Flood
- +5 Aux Power (just adds power, doesn't increase the maximum)
- Shields: Advanced Battery - Shield Resilience Boost
- +50 Starship Shield Regeneration Skill
How to craft
Already we have a list of where the new resources for these cartable come from. These consoles require materials that are dropped from the elite R&D task force operation rewards for completing Elite TFOs. Each has a chance to drop one of the 4 new materials, with 5 total being needed to crafted the new consoles. Additionally, these are also where you get the new [Component - Advanced Battery Superconducting Loop], which are needed to craft the new batteries. so everything in my life is going like upside down right now, including family, friends and school. In school, my grades are getting lower and lower for no reason. I study an average of 10 hours per day and I try to do my best. My parents, especially my father, is so gaddamn judging and kept on telling me that I'm trash and shit and like if I don't wnat to live I should go die. He also gives me a test papers 2 grades ahead of me and expects me to do it with the knowledge I have now. Like wtf???? My mental and physcial health have been going down like a landside. I started having like fever every week and I still havnt recovered from a cough I had from last week. Plus, my social anxiety skills with people have gotten worse, because of my father again. He doesn't belive what happened to me and keep bringing up my mistakes I accidnetally made when I was younger. So basically when I was younger, I was molested 2 times, once by my helper and once my a deliquent boy. And he said that I was lying. yeahhh And my emotions are sort of getting weaker by the day, I don't understand what they meant by "sadness" and "anger" aha,it basically feels like I'm a living robot without batteries. And moving on to friends. my closest friend made new friends, and can she not open her eyes? The friends she made where the same friends that stab me in the back and told me secrets and told my crush I liked him. And she starts to follow them everywhere, like wtf. Plus they literally don't study at all. 2 of them will be like oh getting 50/100 is soooooo good. and when they get like 60/100 they be flexing, do they not have some face??? Plus, they are so goddamn immature and making bird and moaning noises in my ear. Last time I was in a fucking group with them and they did fucking nothing. it was all me and my other friend. All they know is how to talk rubbish and trash. I cnat stand them at all. and plus, i got eczema recently which people definetely will judge me for. I don't really trust anyone after all. They all just back stab me. People never see the good, do they, or they only spot our mistakes and hold us on our collar with that? I really want to give up and die, honesly they only thing that is keeping me alive is the confront I get from a game I play. Sorry to make it so long lmfao I just had to yeahhh.

I previously had a Homebase 2 with Eufycam 2 Pros, door and motion sensors, etc and had no major issues with them. They worked reliably all the time.
Last fall I picked up the new homebase 3 bundle and moved all my existing devices over to it and added one of the S330’s. Everything was working perfectly until a few months ago. Since one of the homebase updates a while back the S330’s have been essentially broken.
The S330 constantly stops detecting motion entirely and/or stops sending notifications. Sometimes it’s no detections, no recordings at all, even if you dance right in front of the camera for an hour. Other periods of time it will capture a recording but not send any notifications at all whether it via the app or Alexa. Sometimes I can get it working temporarily again by swapping the power modes back and forth but it’s always very short lived before it goes back to its normal state of not detecting anything. The live view works fine with the camera as does the motion test mode. Along with this there has also been a huge battery drain issue. If I have the power mode on anything other than “optimal battery”, I get massive battery drain…5% to 8% per day with the camera staring at an empty yard the whole time. Meanwhile my EufyCam2 uses a custom setting and takes a month or 2 to lose 8%.
I have spent hours trying to resolve this with no luck. No settings have changed to cause this but I went back and tried everything and double checked the settings multiple times. My other devices including the EufyCam 2 pro, continue to work flawlessly. I’ve reset the camera, reinstalled the apps on all devices, removed and re-added the camera and have tried 2 other S330’s as well…just when it seems like it’s working again, it goes back to same broken behaviour. Eufy Support has been useless…had my issue escalated to a tech who eventually just emailed me back to say everything looks like it’s working on their end and to try reinstalling the app. :. The only thing I haven’t done at this point is exchanging the homebase but I’m not sure that would solve anything as it appears to be a firmware update that started it all it plus all my other devices are ok. It would be a huge pain as well as I’d have to redo all my devices and Alexa routines so I’d want to be sure that’s the last resort.
Anyone else having similar issues or any luck trying to resolve them?

Bro this expensive ass phone (iPhone 14 pro) has so many bugs and glitches that’s it makes it almost not worth the money, since I got the phone it’s had this f’ing volume bug that makes the ringtone volume the same as the multimedia volume so whenever I’m blasting music through my speakers the notification ringtone is as high as the music, which is really annoying, the big has stayed unfixed during all iOS updates, im currently in iOS 16.5 and it’s still here, apart from the battery usage which goes down INCREDIBLY FAST even when the phone ain’t in used PLUS all the camera bugs and the fact that it this phone camera that claims to be “revolutionary” can’t even focus correctly is pissing me off so bad

I’m looking to buy a gladiator, this would be a weekend warrior car, plus groceries, no commuting.
My adventures look like camping occasionally, overlanding occasionally, some trails, mountain biking, lots of trips to ski resorts (hopefully with lots of snow) and road trips around and out of Washington. Mostly longer trips to get from Seattle to the cascades or the Olympic peninsula.
I’m really attracted to the idea of a novel fuel source, I’ve never had an electric or diesel vehicle. But when I do the napkin math, it just doesn’t add up. The 4xe doesn’t exist yet but it will probably have like a 7-10k usd markup and I don’t qualify for the tax credit. And the mpg is only marginally better, with the downside of lugging around a heavy battery. To make it worthwhile you would need to do daily trips within plug-in range right?
Diesel would be fun but still the mpg gains are marginal, and the cost of maintenance and fuel makes it not so worth the extra 4k for the drive train.
In either case, the economic break-even point could take years to reach and by then there may be better options on the market.
Finally, if I go gas I could get a manual transmission. I’m intimidated by the prospect of off-roading in a manual because I never done that before, but I do enjoy manual on the pavement.
But I still want a electric Jeep or a diesel, because of the coolness factor. What do I do?

Later I remembered that she was having friends fly in for a weekend-long party next weekend. When I confirmed that, she also told me that she was going to be her mom’s plus-one at a wedding the last weekend in June. So, she booked herself for the entire month.
I told her that five weeks without meaningful time together was too long for me and I didn’t feel like I was a priority on her calendar. She had booked the whole month and chose not to come visit. The wedding also seemed optional—she lives 100 yards from her mom and they often have dinner and hangout regularly; go to events and activities together.
She got very mad about this. She accused me of assuming she was trying to hurt me on purpose; she said hates having to explain herself to me every time she makes plans. I did not ask her for an explanation and this situation has come up once before. I also explained that I’m asking that we don’t go five weeks apart. To my recollection, she has never adjust her schedule to accommodate the relationship, just me.
Then the story developed and she had to stay home to get a break from people and recharge her batteries. And the wedding was also for her friend and her and her mom actually both got invited with +1s. She said she doesn’t see it as five weeks apart,there ms only three left so it’s just three weeks apart.
She ended by saying she feels she makes me a priority and she’s giving all she has. If that’s not enough, then that’s okay. I told her I had to step back and think about this.

Hi everyone!
I am currently still using a OnePlus 3T as my daily driver. I bought this phone back in 2016 and it has been great for me so far. I replaced the battery a year or 2 ago and it is still holding up. But it is struggling more and more with apps like Discord and browsing. Especially Discord can be very slow to use on it. But in all fairness it is not bad enough that I need to upgrade immediately only because of performance reasons. I am not a heavy phone user anymore these days, as I do most of my heavy stuff on my computer and I consume most of the media (Anime, YouTube, Manga etc) on my tablet.
I just think it is finally time to move on from this legendary phone that was by my side through multiple schools and university. And honestly, as much as it weird at it sounds, it feels a bit sad to replace it lol. Even tho its only a phone. But I had this phone almost for like 1/4 th of my life. I plan to use the replacement phone at least for a year or 2 as some sort of interim phone, until I go onto a vacation to a place where I want to have a good camera on a phone. But that won't be for at least a year or 2 (or even at all as I got no concrete plans for it yet). Hence, why I am not considering something like the Xperia 1 V due to it's price.
Anyhow, that aside. I am currently looking for a phone that will work fine with WhatsApp, Discord, occasional YouTube, some light web browsing (during lunch brake at work for example) and Reddit. The camera is not as important of a factor. But I would like if it is better than the camera currently on my OnePlus 3T. I saw that the Sony Xperia 10 V could hit a lot of these check boxes, and the battery life is a nice bonus as well. Also the SD card slot, no notch and headphone jack are a nice bonus.
With all this said. Would the Sony Xperia 10 V be a suitable replacement phone for me? If there are things I might be overlooking, please let me know. I am not really home/ informed into the smartphone world.

Because R5-7535HS is a new CPU ,plus I didn't use any AMD Ryzen CPU before, so I don't know how to choose.

Therefore HW3 but with matrix headlights and LFP batteries. Surprisingly it had USS front and back, so I am happy that I didn’t get HW4 minus USS. It came without mud guards nor side PPF (which I have on order thru the Chinese version of eBay called Taobao). Arrived early at Tesla to perform Pre-Delivery inspection this morning. Tesla HK only allow one hour for my slot, but the delivery centre folks were super nice and allowed me inspect my car upon arrival ahead of my time slot. Ended up spending two hours going thru a very comprehensive checklist I downloaded, plus a few more checks I found on a YouTube video by a detailing specialist (additional checks on the headlight mounts, wheel arch fastenings, trunk struts etc). Guess what I found? Completely nothing! Not even a tiny scratch, nor a swirl on the paint work, and most definitely no panel gaps issues!!! I have to commend Tesla Shanghai and the Tesla Hong Kong delivery team for such an excellent presentation and pre-delivery preparation. Well done and a big Thank You. Spent the afternoon installing a screen protector, door pocket silicon liners and most importantly a fridge designed to fit flush into the MY trunk. Next in my list is the glass roof liners as it was super hot driving the car home. Oh, forgot to mention that the car had 29km on it which I felt was a tad on the high side for a brand new car! 😂 |
