I have a problem with scammers and fake social media profiles that are obviously scammers. I usually just report them and carry on my merry way (knowing the profile will not likely get removed anyway). 😅
I recently came across a REALLY convincing fake. They were posting ads for parting out a car, and that they were located in TX. They refused to answer questions in the comments of their post. I searched the profile for obvious signs of a fake, and it all looked legit! Recent photos had captions, tags, etc. But it was the comments on the photos that signaled it was indeed a fake profile.
I reported the profile to the group and they were removed, but for some reason I wasn’t satisfied with that, so I searched a tag for one of the recent pictures.
I actually found the real person!
Out of courtesy, I messaged the real profile about their photos and info being used on fake accounts. I figured they would be grateful for the info, they’d put their profile to private, and the scammers wouldn’t be able to get any more photos from their profile.
They blocked me! 😂 and I’m not sure how to feel about it or if I did something wrong by informing them.
Would you like to know if there are fake profiles using your name and photographs in order to scam others? What is the best way to go about this topic?

Hey all, I am moving from TX to either North Augusta or Aiken in the fall. I was wondering, I run around 70-80 miles a week and how runable of a city is Aiken? Are there plenty of sidewalks or streets that don’t get too busy so I can run on them? Is street lighting good in most parts? Do you think I could find good 8 through 20 mile loops?

The whole scene doesn’t make senses and is lazy. There are witnesses all over the place within like 20ft of him who apparently don’t notice, Vito’s gun is a a model that doesn’t exist, there’s zero recoil, doesn’t cycle or drop a case (despite sound effect), and then Jackie flops down on a snow drift with pre splattered blood. Then Vito slowly waltz’s over to the car, slowly opens the door, slowly sits down, then fails to close the door like 3 times then they drive off. Also in the wide shot you can see that there is no snow literally anywhere except where Jackie fell down, probably so you can see the blood. The whole scene just seems lazy and poorly put together. I wouldn’t care that much except his death is really meaningful and important to the show by affecting so many characters. I think they could have done better. Am I nitpicking?

I just purchased Wharfedale 225 speakers and a SMSL SA300 amp. It sounds just ok but bluetooth works terribly with this amp. I chose this amp because its affordable ($129), has a sub output, and its compact as I'm only connecting it to speakers/Denon 300F turntable. This is in a large room with really high ceilings positioned about 12 feet from the couch
Given that I'm still in my return window I'm debating dropping this amp and getting a receiver like Onkyo TX-8220 or another that y'all suggestion (I'd really like to keep it close or under $200). I realize this budget is low so if I absolutely have to cushion on an additional $100 for higher quality I'd be open to it. I don't want to buy used
I'd love to get your thoughts if I should ditch this amp and get a receiver that has a sub output and RCA. I'm still working to determine if a receiver or amp would be best. As I understand it main differentiator between the two is receive has more outputs but let me know if I'm mistaken.
Last (broad) question - does the quality of the amp/receiver outweigh the quality of the speakers? In other words, does a quality amp/receiver determine how well your speakers will sound or are speakeamp/receiver and speakers of equal importance?

I understand how one can die of heartbreak now. I can count on one hand how many cups of yogurt I’ve eaten in the past ~4 days. Besides that, one slice of pizza. That’s all I can stomach. My appetite has vanished, and I’m forcing myself to eat what I can because I know I have to. I’ve lost 10lbs since Sunday.
I took the rest of the week off work; I can’t bring myself to call strangers and put on a happy facade right now. That, and when I’m sitting in my apartment, that’s when my thoughts consume me the most. They get dark, and it scares me.
I’m doing my best though. I’ve been spending a fair amount of time at the gym. I have to drag myself there just to get out of the apartment, and because it’s supposed to help me not feel this way anymore. I’ll try anything.
Did I tell you I have a therapy consultation tomorrow? I’m anxious about it, I wish you were here to help me. I figured you’d be proud of me for taking that step.
By the way, I’m typing this from TX right now. Since I took the week off anyway I thought it might do some good to be near family.
To wrap this off, I want to apologize for the tone of my last letter regarding… him. I’m sure he’s a great guy to catch your attention, and I know you’re only trying your best to be happy. I’ve been doing some reflecting in sobriety and I did treat you like garbage. I’d spend the rest of my life making it up to you if I could, but I will do my best to respect your wishes to let you go.

However, the person booking told me she's down on her luck, transmission of her car is out, she's at a motel 30 minutes away and hasn't responded to my request for a photo of her DL. I did a google search and found she was held in jail 6 months ago for an aggravated DWI. I asked Turo help to see if they could answer if her license can be verified and that it isn't revoked. They just gave me a number to call if I do not get a pic of her DL within 30 minutes past the trip start time and that I should not give them the keys.
Do you all ask for pics of guest's DLs before each trip?

Hello, I'm 18F and quite lonely. My bf is busy hanging out with friends and none of my friends are responding. I hardly call them friends, I met them only 3 weeks ago and I've barely gotten to hang out with them and they all seem to go on about life just fine without me involved. I generally just feel un-loved and left out. I don't feel like anyone genuinely cares about me because they want to. The people that say they care about me I think only care because they feel an obligation to. And if you've gotten this far in my post then here's some context on my life. I'm homeschooled and my parents never allowed me to socialize at all until the age of 16. By this point I feel like cliques and friend groups have already been established and nobody wants or needs me. I have several toxic habits that are only toxic to me, I'm the suffer in silence type. The "Everyone else's happiness and needs come before mine" type. I will always offer everything I possibly can just to try to make people appreciate me. I know that no amount of spending or working hard on my end will make people want to be friends with me genuinely. But I don't care. Even when people hurt my feelings I will always say that I'm fine and they need to do what makes them happy. I feel like I always do the most and always give every part of myself away and I have never had someone willing to do the least for me. I'm hurting. Don’t know if this counts as a glitch but I believe I met an oracle like in the matrix. The day of the event my mom had told me that my cousin was in the hospital not feeling well. So I clock in to my job in door dash and run deliveries. One delivery was to a motel. When I handed the customer the food out of the blue she made a comment. “She will be okay. Shall we pray for her?” Then she holds my hand and begins to pray for my cousin I presume. I drove away and felt this immense emotion. Back then I didn’t know about simulations. It’s trippy that I’ve actually met an oracle of sorts. Anyone else?

Although, Im constantly having to drive out for issues on a ac unit every month in one unit and my guy is charging me every time he has to come out even if he can’t tell who is at fault. It’s even more annoying when they ask me to come fix it when rent is late. On a side note for any other future Texas landlord that is curious like myself Am i legally required to fix their AC if rent is late ?
