I won a contest to meet the Naked Brothers Band back in 2008 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Naked_Brothers_Band_(TV_series)) if you don't know who they are), via a Nickelodeon contest when I was 13. This started off as a fanfic that was scrapped in 2022 due to loss of interest in myself from writing it, so a former friend and I decided to make a wiki on it. Some of my takeaways: the only mentioned animated films that I've watched in their entirety, perhaps minus blinking and occasional head twists, or an occasional head twist, are The Lion KIng, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. I watched the live action Dumbo. But I do know that their live action Cinderella film had an animated short called "Frozen Fever". Frozen is a stupendously popular animated film from The Walt Disney Company. They used the Frozen Fever short as a marketing ploy for their live action remake film production of Cinderella. I've watched Frozen, Frozen Fever, and Frozen 2.

After Disney declined to take a public stance on Florida's Parental Rights in Education Act, some Pixar employees complained that Disney routinely cut LGBT references out of productions. Frozen's Elsa has given many people gay vibes. Why is Disney adapting classic animated films into live action movies, and not just for the stage, and not even stopping at official cast recordings of stage adaptations? Some believe that Disney is out of ideas. Their animated film Encanto was a big hit though.
I remember around the 2012-2015 period, a boy who I had class with, I believe that I was in fourth, fifth grade, or sixth grade, probably not sixth, at the time, made a comment at my school about how he watches Nickelodeon (maybe he said Nick), and something along the lines of "Disney Channel is out of ideas". Of course, as if Nickelodeon was much better. Maybe when it came to creativity, but, I think it was fourth grade, but whatever, but there was Dan Schneider. People have posted in this subreddit about Dan Schneider. I didn't know who Dan Schneider was at the top of my head at the time, and I was unaware of the sexual accusations against him at the time. I actually didn't watch live action Nickelodeon that often when I was a young kid. Nickelodeon is owned by ViacomCBS, and CBS had Charlie Rose and Les Moonves. There's an alternate history timeline I've been working on for AlternateHistory.com that got some real traction there. It got to a "completed" stage at the end of 2019, but has been continually expanded since, in terms of creating a new version, a Wiki/Fandom, and a collection of articles and press clippings on a FictionPress story. This expansion is going well, but my team and I need new members to join us. Thus, all of this is offered as a proposal that hopefully, some of you here might be interested in joining to contribute to.
Here's the rub:
-Kurt Cobain doesn’t commit suicide in 1994, he also never even becomes addicted to heroin. As a result, Nirvana is still a recording and touring concern as of today, complete with giving Dave Grohl more of the frontman, co-vocalist and co-guitarist role he has in the Foo Fighters in our reality. Kurt also ends up eventually divorcing Courtney Love and remarries to Charlize Theron; besides their own careers, they form an entertainment conglomerate, Springbok Productions, responsible for projects in film, television, streaming, musical theater, video games, music, books and amusement park attractions. This includes constant team-ups with Disney. Springbok is basically an efficiently run, well-managed version of what The Beatles tried and failed to do with Apple.
-Layne Staley of Alice in Chains and Chris Cornell are also both still alive in this timeline, though as a tradeoff, Eddie Vedder dies from an OD in 1998, because without Kurt becoming a martyr, Vedder doesn’t have the mental fortitude to handle his fame. Much of Cornell's solo work becomes Soundgarden material, particularly Euphoria Morning, and Audioslave's albums and songs all become Soundgarden material, here being known as three albums in a trilogy called "The Morello Sessions", a piss-take on Springsteen's "Seeger Sessions" and having Tom Morello still be part of the whole process as a guest collaborator. William DuVall also still ends up becoming a member of AIC, sharing the frontman role with Layne and Jerry Cantrell, making the band a five-piece as well moving into three-part harmonies on the songs. The albums Black Gives Way to Blue, The Devil Put Dinosaurs here and Rainier Fog also still exist in this timeline, but with Layne's involvement.
-Van Halen’s attempted reunion with David Lee Roth in 1996 is fully consummated, though the classic VH era lineup still does not last forever, and Eddie’s son Wolfgang still ends up taking the bassist spot. The band and Eddie releases much more music, though Eddie still dies from cancer in 2020. A surprise reconciliation between Kurt and Axl Rose prevents Slash from leaving Guns N' Roses, leaving the Use Your Illusion lineup of GNR essentially intact, Chinese Democracy out in 1997, and the band pushing on to greater glories up through today.
-Tom Petty dies from his secret heroin addiction in 1999 and Ritchie Blackmore from a car crash in 2000; Britney Spears commits suicide during the height of press frenzy about her breakdown in 2007, while Michael Jackson is still alive. INXS frontman Michael Hutchence never hangs himself. Sublime's Bradley Nowell is still alive with the band being a viable and going concern, while Green Day fizzles out after Warning ,with Billie Joe Armstrong's alcoholism becoming a problem much earlier than in our reality. In their place, Nirvana ends up assuming the role Green Day has, complete with making its own analogs to American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. Bands like Nickelback and Limp Bizkit are still on the scene and still have their spotlight, but in the former's case, fall out of favor earlier, especially with Layne having beaten his demons and Jerry likewise also reaching sobriety sooner, Jerry's initial love of Chad Kroger and company fades when Layne and Kurt point out the generic approach, repetitive nature, and ugly misogyny within the lyrics. Nickelback's ride ends with Dark Horse.
-Linda McCartney has a double mastectomy in 1994, basically making her an early proponent of the strategy used by Angelina Jolie, even though in 1994 there certainly wasn't advanced technology to find the genetic marker and Linda would simply be acting on a hunch and doing a preventative measure. As such, she is still alive and she and Paul are still married, she continues to record and tour with Paul. George Harrison is also not stabbed at the end of 1999, meaning that his cancer doesn't reoccur and he also is still alive and making music. Kurt, being the ardent Beatlemaniac that he is, actually gets to watch things from The Beatles Anthology onwards, such as the release of the "reunion" singles "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love" and so on, and also gets to meet and know the surviving Beatles and their families, as well as Yoko Ono and Sean and Julian Lennon.
-Instead of a segregation of music genres, particularly regarding rock, mainly in terms of playing off grunge/alternative/Adult alternative against metal/hair metal and so on, and Internet flame wars of where you support one or the other, both remain viable genres at the same time, which helps rock remain relevant in the mainstream.
-The music industry as a whole is in a much stronger place, because it accepts and adopts the Internet revolution from the start in the ’90s; so here each record label and artist website have stores to buy MP3 files from, rather than one centralized store like iTunes. This obviously also includes The Beatles and their solo works, though the creation of the iPod alone is enough to spur the third and final round of Apple v. Apple litigation and the resulting settlement. Radio station and ticket sellepromoter conglomeration doesn’t take as much hold as in our reality. MTV still expands its programming, but mainly remains focused on music as its primary driving element.
-Artists open their archives more and many famous and oft-bootlegged items are released to the public earlier or for at all in this timeline, and this affects groups like The Beatles and The Beach Boys.
-Lots of political ripples also occur that I can’t get into, other than the hyperpartisan atmosphere is cooled down and because of things, COVID-19 burns itself out essentially by June 2020; and except for Italy and Brazil, no countries have to undergo true lockdowns and closures. Movie theaters only close for three months, though concerts and stage productions still don’t come back until 2021.
Here’s also an idea of how companies like Disney is affected in this timeline:
-Michael Eisner’s tenure as CEO lasts from 1985 to 2008. He also leaves the company on a much happier and celebratory note, and is remembered fondly as a visionary. This is because, when making the Capital Cities/ABC purchase, he decides from the start to make Bob Iger the number two at Disney, rather than micromanage the company by keeping Frank Wells’ duties for himself. Thus, Eisner and Iger form a working partnership much like the one Eisner had with Wells that makes everything run smoothly and makes Disney even bigger, especially because Iger manages to convince Eisner to not go forward with certain ideas and do certain others instead.
-The distribution arm is renamed Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures back in 1985, to make it clear from the start that Disney distributes its work. The rest of the semi-retirement of the Buena Vista name still doesn’t occur until 2007.
-Disney purchases both Pixar and Lucasfilm in 1996. This ensures that relationships with Pixar never deteriorate, puts Steve Jobs, John Lasseter and Ed Catmull on the board from the start (so Jobs is both CEO of Pixar and a Disney board member when he returns to Apple in 1997), puts Lasseter in charge of the animation studios in ’96 as well, and the “brain trust meeting” ends up adopted by Disney as a whole to keep track on all their projects. Disney also negotiates to get Fox to give up its perpetual license to the original Star Wars, so that Disney is the distributor for the 1997 special edition of the original trilogy, as well as the prequels, the Clone Wars show, and the modern sequel era. The history of Star Wars is essentially the same, except that Lawrence Kasdan polishes the dialogue in Lucas’ scripts for the prequels; by a twist of fate, Adam Driver does not enlist in the Marines but ends up discovered (much like James Cameron did for Edward Furlong to be John Connor in T2) at a gym by Kasdan and he ends up playing Anakin in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith (but Hayden Christensen still gets his shining glory in the movie Shattered Glass); Jonathan Jackson, who was an original candidate to play Anakin, reenters the fray by playing Kylo Ren in the sequels.
-To head off antitrust concerns when purchasing ABC, Pixar and Lucasfilm in the same year, Disney spins off 80 percent of its stake in Miramax, keeping only home video rights. However, Harvey Weinstein is exposed during the Oscar campaign for Shakespeare in Love. Besides the fact that Saving Private Ryan wins Best Picture and an earlier, more nuanced and mature version of Me Too/Time’s Up unfolds regarding exposing predators, Miramax limps along until shuttering in 2001, when Disney fully repurchases it dirt cheap and folds it and the library into that of Touchstone Pictures. Many Miramax films released in 2001-2010 are released by Touchstone during this period, though Hollywood Pictures gets some films, and others are farmed out to other studios. The library and filmography of The Weinstein Company, which never exists, is split among the various studios, with less Disney releases compared to Miramax. Disney still spins off the name, but not the full library, in 2010, along with 300 development projects, to Filmyard Holdings, until it is then sold to beIN Media, then split between it and ViacomCBS. Disney does grant the new Miramax the right to securitize the library as well as make sequels and derivative works on the library. This also has an effect in the studio chair. Dick Cook is joined by Meryl Poster as co-chair, and they remain studio heads as of today. Alan Horn remains retired after leaving Warner Bros.
-Touchstone Pictures thus remains a very active label even into today for releasing mature films. The distribution deal with DreamWorks goes happier, with the deal made as nonexclusive to grant freedom for DreamWorks to do other studios; and the original 30-film target is fulfilled. However, there is a hiatus, and Steven Spielberg still forms Amblin Partners and makes the deal with Universal.
-Disney’s purchases of Marvel and Fox still happen; though the Fox purchase happens with the original asking price of $52 billion, because ITTL, Comcast is not allowed to own more than 35 percent of NBCUniversal, and thus cannot bid for 21st Century Fox. Disney also does not try to hold onto Sky, and spins it off to Fox Corporation, which still sells it to Comcast. Fox 2000 Pictures remains active. The Fox name also remains on the assets, because of a number of political considerations I can’t get into here, as well as James Murdoch triumphing over Lachlan.
-Disney does not have a streaming service, because ITTL, Hollywood and the music industry embraced the digital revolution in the ’90s rather than dragging their feet. Blockbuster not only remains alive, but owns the one streaming service library for all non-pornographic movies and shows that have survived as well as original streaming content. Of course the Disney+ content is still made, it’s under a different umbrella.
-Without the “Save Disney” war, the “Disney Renaissance” never ends to lead to a post-Renaissance and the “Disney Revival.” The Renaissance does dip and have peaks and valleys, but it remains going from 1989 until today, This is in part because films like Home on the Range, The Good Dinosaur, John Carter, The Lone Ranger, and Chicken Little never happen, and certain unproduced films on the WDAS and Pixar slates occur instead. Treasure Planet is also delayed until June 2003 and the first POTC to August that year, to be part of a gimmick called “The Swashbuckling Summer of Pirates”, making Treasure Planet a massive hit. This also means that Brother Bear is WDAS’ film for 2004, and it is tweaked a bit. Disney’s biggest box office flop in its history ends up being The Alamo.
-Eisner is talked out of expanding Disneyland Paris too early and from making Anaheim’s second gate be called California Adventure; the second gate in Anaheim ends up being a revived and modified WESTCOT that opens in 2003. Disney’s America is revived as a 5th gate at WDW. Hollywood Studios undergoes a facelift to be more of a parodic-themed park to be “the Hollywood that never was and always will be.” Except for TOT, everything is rethemed, especially to be non-IP. Disney buys 3000 additional acres to add to WDW to make another six gates over the decades, including a full-scale Galaxy’s Edge, a full-scale Pandora: The World of Avatar, a park called Pixar Place, a park called Marvel: Hero’s Landing, a Studio Ghibli-based park (in place of the Skyway transportation area) and a Fox IPs park.
-ABC does not struggle in its early Disney years and is stable throughout, even before airing Millionaire. The ABC Daytime slot remains occupied with soaps besides General Hospital, and the GH spinoff series Port Charles is more successful. Playtime Disney/Disney Junior is spun off to be a self-contained 24-hour network that anyone with even basic cable can access, to make way for an anime-based programming block on The Disney Channel. Disney also creates ABC Classic and Disney Channel Classic, rerun-based channels, also for basic cable. SOAPNet still exists. A great number of Disney Channel programming and DCOM content simply doesn’t exist to make way for better shows. ABC Family/Freeform still happens and exists.
-Eisner never does Club Disney. Mistakes he still makes include Celebration and GO.com, as well as backing certain movies that don’t pan out.
-ITTL, the Copyright Term Extension Act is not passed, and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is more liberalized. Thus, Mickey enters public domain on New Year’s Day 2003. Eisner does panic and initially tries to prevent it by filing a letter of revisionist history to claim that Ub Iwerks, not Walt, created Mickey. It doesn’t go over well to say the least, and Eisner is argumentative and tunneled in. He does back down, and Iger takes over for a while as Eisner goes on vacation to put the fires, and he does so admirably. Eisner returns a much humbled man and is also able to turn his own reputation around to be able to stay until 2008.
-Disney never severs ties with McDonald’s, in part because the Golden Arches isn’t forced to support year after year of flops, but they do make it nonexclusive, but still very involved. While the Downtown Disney/Disney Springs full-service location still closes, the freestanding park locations remain open, and there are ones in the new parks as well. Disney also never sells the Saban Entertainment properties (except for letting Haim Saban reclaim half the stake in Power Rangers in 2010 (until selling that to Hasbro), but Disney remains holding the other half) and never cuts ties with Studio Ghibli.
-Springbok co-produces the live action remake slate; and Springbok is able to help sell the public even more convincingly about the films and make them see that there is a purpose and reasoning behind it; this and other things prevents the perception that Disney is a mercenary, IP-driven machine cynically retreading past glories. These are the same, with the exception of some tweaking for The Lion King (namely replacing Beyonce as Nala and fleshing out some more background between Mufasa, Scar and Sarabi as well as jettisoning the version of “Be Prepared”) and Mulan (removing the chi element from the story, making certain elements closer to the original, having Gong Li’s character be a lieutenant to Shan Yu/Bori Khan but not a witch).
-Disney, and Hollywood as a whole, basically creates a new sort of interdependent model, where effectively all the studios and production companies have alliances with each other and essentially share the same pool and resources. This means, for example, seeing distribution deals for a film by both Disney and New Line Cinema (which remains largely independent of Time Warner ITTL), or Sony and Warner Bros., or New Line and the modern Miramax.
How MLP is affected:
-The series and assorted merchandise is the same, except now there are an additional 20 episodes of FIM, featuring notable celebrity guest stars and stories, such as one involving the surviving Beatles, and which playfully riffs on the band's history and is essentially a metaphor for dealing with the ripples of the assassination of John Lennon; an episode featuring Charlize Theron that is essentially a metaphor for dealing with the memories of her turbulent upbringing in South Africa. There is also far more overlap between FIM and EG, complete with having Sunset Shimmer have a part to play in the arc of the main series, though still having them be essentially self-contained, standalone works.
-To help explain and settle why events from G4 take the shape they do to create the semi-dystopian version in G5, the climax of G5 will include a moment of utilizing time travel to neutralize a threat that will destroy the entire world and which cannot be defeated unless smothered in the crib. Taking cues from the likes of Avengers: Endgame, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Spider-Man: No Way Home, the G5 protagonists must travel back in time to not only G4, but all the way back to G1, and change history for the better.
-This also ties in with Hasbro deciding to effectively create a cinematic universe (though not as tightly defined, necessarily, as standard cinematic universes) of its various IPs and lines. Hasbro, however, even before purchasing Entertainment One, decides to basically make movie and TV projects with every studio, every network, every producer, and not be restrained from working with say, Paramount, only.

So why two contrasting reports? The explanation here is based on reports collected from various sources that I have quoted here. Because details about exact numbers are not known, I will make some assumptions but that wont change the reports.

Now assuming this is a joint venture between Aamir Khan productions and Viacom 18, lets say they put in 90 crore each to make this movie. Out of this total amount of 180, Aamir himself took out 50 crore, and rest of the money was involved in making this movie.

One key factor here is, the rights of the movie were not purchased by Aamir Khan productions and Viacom 18 for any specified amount. Basically Paramount US, which owns the rights to Forrest Gump just added that whatever the movie makes overseas, will go to them and domestic collection will be shared between Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18. So, a very important point, anything that the movie earns in overseas, in fact goes to Paramount Global and not to the actual producers. That overseas earning is the cost of rights of Forrest Gump, which is a hidden cost which doesnt have an exact price tag. So, in a nutshell, if the movie earns 50 crore overseas, the actual production cost is 180+50-230 crore. And that 50 crore is going to Paramount Global. Here it is to be noted that Paramount Global is treating Viacom 18 as a separate entity because it has 51% stakes by Network 18.

That leaves domestic market. Assuming movie ends up at 80 crore figure, 40 crore goes to Aamir Khan Productions and 40 to Viacom 18. Remember, AK Productions put in 90 crore and earn back 40 crore. This is where the big hit it. This is where all trade analysts are calling it a disaster.

The other 40 goes to Viacom 18 and assuming 51% partnership, lets say they both earn 20 crore each. This is against 45 crore they both put in. So, even they take 25 crore loss each. Paramount may offset some of its loss because of overseas, but mostly these corporate houses treat their local entities differently.
Aamir might very well return some of his fees or put in that fees into AK Productions to offset that loss, its his decision, but that wont take away from how big a failure the movie is.

If they sell digital rights to, lets say Netflix, they might earn some money back, but I guess even that would be difficult now because of dismal performance. If they release on Voot itself, I dont anticipate a lot of people joining Voot just for LSC, so they might get marginal profits there but not huge. A pre release deal with Netflix would have been ideal.

Lastly, there is China market still left, and Thugs failed badly in China, so no guarantee that this will work, and even there, we dont know the deal between Paramount Global and Viacom 18/ AK Productions. So, that is why LSC is being touted as a big failure despite decent overseas collections

The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.

Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.'
Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'

When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences.
Notice that Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Disney, who is intertwined with Allen & Co funds the Young Turks. He is the perfect example of the relationship between media and politics.

Viacom, after splitting off from Les Moonves Les Moonves ' CBS , still holds Paramount Pictures, and that movie studio in December agreed to acquire DreamWorks SKG, the creative shop founded by the Hollywood triumvirate of Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg (a former exec at The Walt Disney Co.). DreamWorks Animation had been spun off into a separate company.
Now it's time for Freston to make back some money--and who better to do a little business with than George Soros? The billionaire financier leads a consortium of Soros Strategic Partners LP and Dune Entertainment II LLC, which together are buying the DreamWorks library--a collection of 59 flicks, including Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, and American Beauty.

The money you spend on media and junk food and in taxes goes to these groups who then decide how best to market at you so that they decide how you vote by creating a fake consensus to trick into thinking that you want something other than what is best for you; but will inevitably result in more money being funneled to the top, creating further separation between the super-rich and the average person. The goal will be to assert creeping authoritarianism by generating outrage against policies and issues they hate. Part of manipulating your basic assumptions is also to use schadenfreude (think canned laughter on TV) against characters who support the cause that might actually do you the most good (which reaffirms and strengthens your confirmation biased along predetermined political lines).

We have a population being taught to hate socialism and love capitalism when the truth is no country is practicing either. These terms are merely disguises for political oligarchies where the collection of wealth is as much about getting themselves rich as it is about keeping everyone else poor.
What can you guess about the world around you if it turned out that every consensus that was forced on you was fake?
How much money would it take to make it look like 51% of the Internet believed in completely idiotic ideas? Combine shill operations with automation and AI’s, and the cost becomes a good investment relative to the return when measured in political power.
Even the people who are well intentioned and very vocal do not have to consciously be aware that they are working for a political action group. A covert political group will always prefer an unwitting tool to help push their agenda, so that they can remain in the shadows.

Few things stirred the ire of the astroturfing apparatus when the details of the people behind the Q movement began to be exposed. For a group that was supposedly not officially sanctioned, those originating the information, those helping promulgate the information, and those who hosted the infrastructure went on full attack to those who began to uncover personal details about them.
While the liberal media used Q to paint the “alt right” as crazy conspiracy theorists, they were terrified of the actual origins being exposed and videos that provided this information have been almost entirely wiped from the Internet.

On Voat, which shut down to prevent Hunter Biden data from spreading, the Q astroturfing movement on Voat was managed by shills like Bill Haney and Suzanne Ayson, who was sharing nude photos of herself to other moderators (like Bill... does his wife know?) to inculcate multiple sub groups in her favor, and in Q’s favor. This resulted in a lot of “alt right” moderators censoring alt right content, including the origins of Q and the leaked Hunter Biden data, which was completely ignored by the Q movement and is still being ignored by the Q movement.
Off of Voat, it seems that a small group, in 2016, had plans to use "IamQ" as a kind of platform/brand to reveal information on corruption, particularly around the child trafficking. Pamphlet Anon and Crew, then, co-opted the whole idea and used other people's research to actually be Q posters. The intelligence realm entered the equation and moved Q posters onto 8chan, now 8kun, mainly because it was one of the most nefarious places on the Internet with child porn being rampant. The idea that people against CP would use a notorious CP board was suspicious, to say the least.
I believe it was a wakeful moment for many users of Voat when Pizzagate information was being censored by influencers within the Q movement. Drama was inserted into “research’ subreddits to derail them and splinter the research groups. "Strategy of Tension." "Organizational Paradoxes."
Gamergate was a similar version of this, where feminine wiles were used to compromise and bias journalists that operated in the gaming realm. While users were painted as “alt right” extremists, the truth is that they took offense when supposedly trustworthy sources of information had turned dishonest over promises of sex.
Many news outlets reported on Watkins and the people involved in 8chan’s involvement with the Q movement, but we have video evidence that Coleman Rogers aka “Pamphlet Anon” was the person originating the posts, themselves; that the Q movement had no inside information and was exploiting the work of crowd sourced research from average Internet users; and that the astroturfers on both sides of political issues, with the help of Big Tech, protected the Q movement puppet masters from exposure.

In the United States, the Whiskey Ring was a scandal, exposed in 1875. The Whiskey Ring began in St. Louis, Missouri but was also organized in Chicago, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Cincinnati, Ohio; New Orleans, Louisiana and Peoria, Illinois. The Whiskey Ring involved diversion of tax revenues in a conspiracy among government agents, politicians, whiskey distillers, and distributors. The scheme involved an extensive network of bribes involving distillers, rectifiers, gaugers, storekeepers, and internal revenue agents. Essentially, distillers bribed government officials, and those officials helped the distillers evade federal taxes on the whiskey they produced and sold. Whiskey was supposed to be taxed at 70 cents per gallon, however distillers would instead pay the officials 35 cents per gallon and the illicit whiskey was stamped as having the tax paid. Before they were caught, a group of politicians were able to siphon off millions of dollars in federal taxes.
U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Benjamin Bristow, working without the knowledge of the President or the Attorney General, broke the tightly connected and politically powerful ring in 1875 using secret agents from outside the Treasury department to conduct a series of raids across the country on May 10, 1875. The trials began at Jefferson City, Missouri in October 1875. Ultimately, 110 convictions were made and over $3 million in taxes were recovered. President Ulysses S. Grant appointed General John Brooks Henderson (a former U.S. Senator from Missouri) to serve as special prosecutor in charge of the indictments and trials, but Grant eventually fired Gen. Henderson for challenging Grant's interference in the prosecutions. Grant replaced Henderson with attorney James Broadhead.
The Whiskey Ring was seen by many as a sign of corruption under the Republican governments that took power across the nation following the American Civil War. General Orville E. Babcock, the private secretary to the President, was indicted as a member of the ring — for this reason, President Ulysses S. Grant, although not directly involved in the ring, came to be seen as emblematic of Republican corruption, and later scandals involving his Secretary of War William W. What is Sonic.exe? Sonic.exe is a viral horror story that concerns an evil version of the video game character, Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic.exe is a game seen in Episode 43 of OmgVk64's AGK series that is a haunted sonic game as well TakerTV1. Sonic.exe is part of a genre of online horror stories known ascreepypasta. Sonic.exe (also known as "X" or "exe" for short) is the titular main antagonist of the Sonic.EXE series. Sonic.EXE is an eldritch entity taking on the form of Sonic the Hedgehog that sends out a haunted game disc featuring the creature killing the main Sonic characters, eventually leading him to rip out the soul of his victim and making them his slave. This is not meant to be a formal definition of Sonic.exe like most terms we define on Dictionary.com, but is rather an informal word summary that hopefully touches upon the key aspects of the meaning and usage of Sonic.exe that will help our users expand their word mastery. Unlike other appearance, Sonic.exe is a burst monster in Leopold's burst. He represents peace. He lets Leopold use his power to defeat enemies when he is weak. Sonic.exe is an Internet creepypasta created by JC-the-Hyena (now by Shannon Love) on November 7th of 2011. According to the creator, the story was originally inspired by an edited screen capture of the title screen for the original Sega Genesis video game. In the image, the sky is colored grey, Sonic's pupils are colored glowing red, his eyeballs are colored black with bloodstains dripping, the water is colored red, and the Sega copyright notice is replaced with "(C) SEGA 666". While people believe Sonic.EXE is ridiculous and will never become popular again, some people tried to make it great again. The sequel/prequel of Sonic.exe centers around a young detective named Derek Green investigating the murders committed by an unknown entity. Sonic.EXE has commonly been thought to be a demon possessing Sonic's body, his first and most well-known fan-made origin, despite the two canonically being separate entities. Sonic.EXE is incredibly strong and is immortal (he can't be damaged and can't be killed). “Welp, what next? Fandroid.exe based off Sonic.exe? The first one seen in "AGK meets Gumball", where he shows his disappointement towards Tails.EXE before finishing him off. Sonic.EXE is the complete opposite of Sonic the Hedgehog, he is a wrathful, tyrannical, malevolent, sadistic, cruel, and twisted monster who takes glee in repeatedly killing anyone's life, even his own slaves, showing him as the definition of pure evil. Exe views humanity to be the perfect plaything and desires to one day have it all to himself for eternity, and believes himself to be a god thanks to his reality-controlling powers. Exe's arrogance and sadism appear to stem from his creative side, so it's possible that he also uses his powers to torture humans just to see what he can do with them, not just because it gives him great pleasure and power over them. “since i have no life and live in my room all day i decided that i wanted to make the unoriginal creepypasta sonic.exe more of a original character” As shown from the original story, Sonic.EXE is able to fly and levitate off the ground, teleport from place to place in a cloud of black smoke, travel through the game and manipulate its code, create dark, ghostly illusions in order to confuse and torment his enemies, and shape-shift in order to look exactly like his idol Sonic. In the second story, he's shown to be highly manipulative and charismatic, able to lead an entire cult to believe he is doing good for the world. Sonic.exe is a friend of Leopold. He asked students of his school of Stephen Quire and he said that kid needs anger management class. In August 2011, user JC-the-Hyena submitted a story on the Creepypasta Wiki about a strange CD-ROM the narrator received from a friend. The CD had SONIC.EXE written on it (.exe is file extension designating an executable file). It centered around the video game franchise and character Sonic the Hedgehog. A prominent feature of the story was the look of its murderous incarnation of Sonic, who had been given black, bleeding eyeballs with glowing red pupils. The creator later explained that the creepypasta had been inspired by an edited screencap of the character. The original Sonic.exe story centers on Tom, a young man who was a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, especially the older games. It’s not clear how much of the creepypasta’s appeal was due to its scariness or an ironic appreciation of its amateurish writing and clichéd style, which later got it removed from the Creepypasta Wiki. Part of the humor may lie in the juxtaposition of a cheery, silly video game with grim horror tropes. Later, in the 22nd episode of Adrenaline21's AGK Original Series and 18th episode of Remastered Show... Sonic.exe appears along with Indosiar's Flying Fish of Doom, Viacom BND of Doom, Togsy and Adolf Hitler as Leopold's nightmare. The legacy of Sonic.exe. Despite Sonic.EXE's best efforts, he is yet again defeated by Boyfriend. Losing what little remains of his sanity, he lets out a roar of hostility, which causes the area to get glitchy. Sonic.EXE is the complete opposite of Sonic the Hedgehog, he is a wrathful, tyrannical, malevolent, sadistic, cruel, and twisted monster who takes glee in repeatedly killing anyone's life, even his own slaves, showing him as the definition of pure evil. Exe views humanity to be the perfect plaything and desires to one day have it all to himself for eternity, and believes himself to be a god thanks to his reality-controlling powers. Exe's arrogance and sadism appear to stem from his creative side, so it's possible that he also uses his powers to torture humans just to see what he can do with them, not just because it gives him great pleasure and power over them. Sonic.EXE (also referred to as Xenophanes) is the main antagonist of the Friday Night Funkin Mod called Vs Sonic.Exe. He is a dark form of Sonic and a well-received creepypasta. He would find Boyfriend and Girlfriend after putting Tail's head on a spike, and Boyfriend would challenge him to a rap battle. Sonic.exe in "Too Slow" is voiced by MarStarBro, the composer of the track. Altering his form, Sonic.exe makes further attempts to best Boyfriend by thrusting different kinds of notes on him. He even turns them all into SEGA Genesis graphics and transports them to Green Hill Zone temporarily. As the song continues, Sonic.EXE's patience begins to reach the end of its rope and he visibly gets more infuriated over his inability to beat and kill the two. Unexplainably, this depiction of Sonic.exe has purple tentacles coming out of his mouth in his up pose and hands producing from his mouth in his down and right pose. The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.

Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.'
Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'

When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences.
Notice that Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Disney, who is intertwined with Allen & Co funds the Young Turks. He is the perfect example of the relationship between media and politics.

The goal will be to assert creeping authoritarianism by generating outrage against policies and issues they hate. Part of manipulating your basic assumptions is also to use schadenfreude (think canned laughter on TV) against characters who support the cause that might actually do you the most good (which reaffirms and strengthens your confirmation biased along predetermined political lines).

We have a population being taught to hate socialism and love capitalism when the truth is no country is practicing either. These terms are merely disguises for political oligarchies where the collection of wealth is less about getting themselves rich and more about keeping everyone else poor.
What can you guess about the world around you if it turned out that every consensus that was forced on you was fake?
How much money would it take to make it look like 51% of the Internet believed in completely idiotic ideas? Combine shill operations with automation and AI’s, and the cost becomes a good investment relative to the return when measured in political power.
Even the people who are well intentioned and very vocal do not have to consciously be aware that they are working for a political action group. A covert political group will always prefer an unwitting tool to help push their agenda, so that they can remain in the shadows.

INTRODUCTION
​Operation CUCKOO was part of the overall operation CLEANSWEEP, aimed at eliminating domestic opposition to activities undertaken by the Central Intelligence Agency's special activities division, in main regard to operation GUILLOTINE.
​Operation CUCKOO was approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Department of Defense and the office of The President of the United States as a covert domestic action to be under taken within the limits of Washington D.C as outlined by Secret Executive Order 37.
​Following the publishing of the Warren Commission, former special agent Mary Pinchot Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation SIREN) also was married to Cord Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation GUILLOTINE) threatened to disclose the details of several Special Activities Divisions' operations, including but not limited to, Operation SIREN and GUILLOTENE.

It was deemed necessary by senior Directorate of Operations members to initiate Operation CUCKOO as an extension of Operation CLEANSWEEP on November 30th. After Mary Pinchot Meyer threatened to report her knowledge of Operation GUILLOTENE and the details of her work in Operation SIREN from her affair with the former President.
​Special Activities Division was given the green light after briefing president Johnson on the situation. The situation report was forwarded to the Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of staff, who both approved of the parameters of the operation, as outlined under article C of secret executive order 37 (see attached copy of article).
​PLANNING STAGES
8 members of the special activities division handpicked by operation lead William King Harvey began planning for the operation on October 3rd, with planned execution before October 16th.
​The (?) of the operation was set as the neighborhood of Georgetown along the Potomac river, where the operators would observe, take note on routines, and eventually carry the operation.
​After nothing Meyer's routines, Edward "Eddy" Reid was picked as the operation point man who would intersect Meyer on her walk on October 12th, with lead William King Harvey providing long range support if necessary from across the Chesapeake and Ohio canal (see illustration A for detailed map).
​Edward Reid was planned to be dressed in the manner of a homeless black man, due to his resemblances to local trash collector (later found out to be Raymond Crump) who inhabits the AO and the path that Reid was planned to intersect Meyer.

In fact, we have a recent example of a situation similar to the Yeti. When Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch met on the TARMAC to spike the Hillary email investigation, the FBI was so confident it wasn’t them, that their entire focus was finding the leaker, starting with searching within the local PD. But, this problem extends far beyond politics; the private sector, the scientific community, even advice forums are shilled heavily. People are paid to cause anxiety, recommend people break up and otherwise sow depression and nervousness. This is due to a correlating force that employs “systems psychodynamics”, focusing on “tension centered” strategies to create “organizational paradoxes” by targeting people’s basic assumptions about the world around them to create division and provide distraction.

Tenet joined President-elect Bill Clinton's national security transition team in November 1992. Clinton appointed Tenet Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council, where he served from 1993 to 1995. Tenet was appointed Deputy Director of Central Intelligence in July 1995. Tenet held the position as the DCI from July 1997 to July 2004. Citing "personal reasons," Tenet submitted his resignation to President Bush on June 3, 2004. Tenet said his resignation "was a personal decision and had only one basis—in fact, the well-being of my wonderful family—nothing more and nothing less. When you consider the number of forces that can be contained within a single “political action group” in the form on a “boutique investment firm,” where all sides of political arguments are predetermined by a selected group of actors who have been planted, compromised or leveraged in some way in order to control the way they spin their message.

The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.

Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.'
Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'

When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences.

The goal will be to assert creeping authoritarianism by generating outrage against policies and issues they hate. Part of manipulating your basic assumptions is also to use schadenfreude (think canned laughter on TV) against characters who support the cause that might actually do you the most good (which reaffirms and strengthens your confirmation biased along predetermined political lines).

We have a population being taught to hate socialism and love capitalism when the truth is no country is practicing either. These terms are merely disguises for political oligarchies where the collection of wealth is less about getting themselves rich and more about keeping everyone else poor.
What can you guess about the world around you if it turned out that every consensus that was forced on you was fake?
How much money would it take to make it look like 51% of the Internet believed in completely idiotic ideas? Combine shill operations with automation and AI’s, and the cost becomes a good investment relative to the return when measured in political power.
Even the people who are well intentioned and very vocal do not have to consciously be aware that they are working for a political action group. A covert political group will always prefer an unwitting tool to help push their agenda, so that they can remain in the shadows.

After Mary Pinchot Meyer threatened to report her knowledge of Operation GUILLOTENE and the details of her work in Operation SIREN from her affair with the former President.
​Special Activities Division was given the green light after briefing president Johnson on the situation. 8 members of the special activities division handpicked by operation lead William King Harvey began planning for the operation on October 3rd, with planned execution before October 16th.

Clinton appointed Tenet Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council, where he served from 1993 to 1995. Tenet was appointed Deputy Director of Central Intelligence in July 1995. Tenet held the position as the DCI from July 1997 to July 2004. Citing "personal reasons," Tenet submitted his resignation to President Bush on June 3, 2004. Tenet said his resignation "was a personal decision and had only one basis—in fact, the well-being of my wonderful family—nothing more and nothing less. The evidence of this coordinated effort is overwhelming and the “consensus” that you see on TV, in sports, in Hollywood, in the news and on the Internet is fabricated.

Under the guise of a fake account a posting is made which looks legitimate and is towards the truth is made - but the critical point is that it has a VERY WEAK PREMISE without substantive proof to back the posting. Once this is done then under alternative fake accounts a very strong position in your favour is slowly introduced over the life of the posting. It is IMPERATIVE that both sides are initially presented, so the uninformed reader cannot determine which side is the truth. As postings and replies are made the stronger 'evidence' or disinformation in your favour is slowly 'seeded in.'
Thus the uninformed reader will most likely develop the same position as you, and if their position is against you their opposition to your posting will be most likely dropped. However in some cases where the forum members are highly educated and can counter your disinformation with real facts and linked postings, you can then 'abort' the consensus cracking by initiating a 'forum slide.'

When you find yourself feeling like common sense and common courtesy aren’t as common as they ought to be, it is because there is a massive psychological operation controlled from the top down to ensure that as many people as possible are caught in a “tension based” mental loop that is inflicted on them by people acting with purpose to achieve goals that are not in the interest of the general population, but a method of operating in secret and corrupt manner without consequences.
Notice that Jeffrey Katzenberg, of Disney, who is intertwined with Allen & Co funds the Young Turks. He is the perfect example of the relationship between media and politics.

Katzenberg has also been involved in politics. With his active support of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, he was called "one of Hollywood's premier political kingmakers and one of the Democratic Party's top national fundraisers."

The money you spend on media and junk food and in taxes goes to these groups who then decide how best to market at you so that they decide how you vote by creating a fake consensus to trick into thinking that you want something other than what is best for you; but will inevitably result in more money being funneled to the top, creating further separation between the super rich and the average person. The goal will be to assert creeping authoritarianism by generating outrage against policies and issues they hate. Part of manipulating your basic assumptions is also to use schadenfreude (think canned laughter on TV) against characters who support the cause that might actually do you the most good (which reaffirms and strengthens your confirmation biased along predetermined political lines).

We have a population being taught to hate socialism and love capitalism when the truth is no country is practicing either. These terms are merely disguises for political oligarchies where the collection of wealth is less about getting themselves rich and more about keeping everyone else poor.
What can you guess about the world around you if it turned out that every consensus that was forced on you was fake?
How much money would it take to make it look like 51% of the Internet believed in completely idiotic ideas? Combine shill operations with automation and AI’s, and the cost becomes a good investment relative to the return when measured in political power.
Even the people who are well intentioned and very vocal do not have to consciously be aware that they are working for a political action group. A covert political group will always prefer an unwitting tool to help push their agenda, so that they can remain in the shadows.

Subject: After action report of
Operation CUCKOO (TS)
INTRODUCTION
​Operation CUCKOO was part of the overall operation CLEANSWEEP, aimed at eliminating domestic opposition to activities undertaken by the Central Intelligence Agency's special activities division, in main regard to operation GUILLOTINE.
​Operation CUCKOO was approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Department of Defense and the office of The President of the United States as a covert domestic action to be under taken within the limits of Washington D.C as outlined by Secret Executive Order 37.
​Following the publishing of the Warren Commission, former special agent Mary Pinchot Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation SIREN) also was married to Cord Meyer (Operation MOCKINGBIRD, Operation GUILLOTINE) threatened to disclose the details of several Special Activities Divisions' operations, including but not limited to, Operation SIREN and GUILLOTENE.

It was deemed necessary by senior Directorate of Operations members to initiate Operation CUCKOO as an extension of Operation CLEANSWEEP on November 30th. After Mary Pinchot Meyer threatened to report her knowledge of Operation GUILLOTENE and the details of her work in Operation SIREN from her affair with the former President.
​Special Activities Division was given the green light after briefing president Johnson on the situation. The situation report was forwarded to the Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of staff, who both approved of the parameters of the operation, as outlined under article C of secret executive order 37 (see attached copy of article).
​PLANNING STAGES
8 members of the special activities division handpicked by operation lead William King Harvey began planning for the operation on October 3rd, with planned execution before October 16th.
​The (?) of the operation was set as the neighborhood of Georgetown along the Potomac river, where the operators would observe, take note on routines, and eventually carry the operation.
​After nothing Meyer's routines, Edward "Eddy" Reid was picked as the operation point man who would intersect Meyer on her walk on October 12th, with lead William King Harvey providing long range support if necessary from across the Chesapeake and Ohio canal (see illustration A for detailed map).
​Edward Reid was planned to be dressed in the manner of a homeless black man, due to his resemblances to local trash collector (later found out to be Raymond Crump) who inhabits the AO and the path that Reid was planned to intersect Meyer.

Is Bill Hwang a dope?

Bill Hwang has been arrested. He managed to leverage up positions in half a dozen big US stocks to around $35bn gross exposure. That's a lot. He ended up owning well over half of ViacomCBS, a big US broadcaster, with something approaching 700mn subscribers in the recent past, according to Wikipedia). Anyway, he got very rich on paper, by buying a lot of stock and watching the price go up, and then got very poor, as the stock price collapsed. As Matt Levine points out, it's not obvious why this was criminal. He is accused of 'using Archegos as an “instrument of market manipulation and fraud” with “far-reaching consequences for other participants in the United States securities markets”,' but given that he ended up poorer, and no investors were harmed in the exercise of his unsuccessful trading, it's not obvious that he had any criminal intent.
He was a bad trader, and lost a lot of money, for himself and for the banks that lent him money, but it's not a crime to borrow money from a bank and fail to pay it back. To lie to the bank about what the money is for might be, but from what I can tell, he didn't do this. He borrowed from a lot of banks to invest in the same stocks. Each bank knew how much stock he was buying using its money. He just failed to mention that he was running the same sort of trading using loans from other banks. The cumulative effect was to give him huge holdings in some stocks, but these were not enough to make the prices go up forever. If they had been, Archegos would have remained as unknown as it was before it went bankrupt and Bill Hwang would be a very wealthy guy.
Matt Levine's point is that Hwang is not a 'dope' and that if he wanted to execute a fraud, he had plenty of opportunity to collect a lot of the money from these loans, move it offshore, and retire to the sunset in somewhere like Grand Cayman or Lebanon. One of what Somerset Maughan called "sunny places for shady people."
Well, it's interesting, but I feel that it's not remotely the scale of fraud that fElon M*sk engages in on an almost weekly basis. I'd better be careful what I say, because I understand that this guy is known to be highly litigious, while I am highly indigent.

Tight or loose?

The Chicago Fed has an indicator of financial conditions. It goes back a long time. It shows that conditions now are extremely loose compared to the early 1980's. J Powell is no Paul Volker.

The Principal Agent problem

Roger Lowenstein points out that senior management in Goldman Sachs are corrupt. I don't think he uses the word. He just points out that they have structured a compensation scheme that enriches senior management for deploying shareholders' capital. It just points out that when a firm ceases to be owned by its principals, it's almost impossible to design an agency agreement which is capable of standing up to the incentives facing the agents who now have the principal's money.
I don't think that GS is particularly reprehensible, it's just more obvious because the firm was until relatively recently a real partnership.
Lowenstein is a great author. I think that Substack is a new venture for him. I wish him well. Disclaimer: I met his uncle, many years ago.

Equity markets plunged at the end of the week. The NDX was down nearly 4.5%. The market is very volatile, though, and actually the close was no lower than the low of the 26th, mid week. Commodities were all over the place: WTI crude was down 1.2%, Brent was up 1.7%. Bonds were still behaving as though we are in a risk-off regime: the 10Y Treasury yield was up 10bp to 2.92%.
Will this result in a generalized and sustained market crash? Inflation will drive down labour costs, which might increase demand for capital. It seems that volatility is growing all the time, although the VIX, measuring implied volatility, seems still quite moderate.
