Alright dads
now this is a story all about how my wife and I turned taking pills into a fun family tradition. My son is currently 7 months old and every night since before he was conceived my wife has had an alarm set for taking her prenatal which has a groovy little android built tune assigned to it. A few months ago my wife started taking her pill in the morning with me but forgot to change the alarm and THUS began our 6pm evening dance break. You see my son loves food, like FUUUUUCKING LOVES food and so when we feed him all that baby led weaning goodness he starts fussing and whining for more food because he’s a connoisseur for taste. Why does that matter? Well we feed him at like 5 and change PM and just at the height of that fussiness the alarm went off on that one fateful day and my wife and I decided this wasn’t an alarm to snooze, nay turn off… no! This was an alarm to DANCE TO! Thus began a long line of 6pm dance breaks that we have taken since. The best part? My son has started to “get it” and when that music starts playing, when 6pm hits, boy oh boy does he start grooving and shaking (mostly he gets excited and slams his baby fists on the high chair). So I guess the point of this post is, build in a way to break up the fussiness. Make shit special. And most importantly when 6pm hits, I hope you dance.

I am pretty sure you live in an area of Hyderabad that cuts power multiple times a day without warning even if its just for few minutes. Without any regards to the importance of not breaking the continues supply for some of our important devices. This needs to be stopped!
When our voice is raised they say get third party options to solve this like an inverter battery or a solar option. Heights of laziness I say!
Working from home as we all know it is just not possible if you need to run simulations that require heavy wattage, that regular home inverters don’t provide for long time. When spoken to our line man he says there was an issue with a transformer every single time. Why is our system designed in such a way that one transformer can cause a power cut to an whole area? Why can’t the power be rerouted while fixing broken transformers.
Where are better electrical engineers when we need them? Who to raise these questions if not us? I really think we need to come up with an app till we fix these issues, that warns the phone number registered to the USC code about an outage at least couple of hours before doing the maintenance. This is the least our municipal should do. What do you guys think about our outdated infrastructure? 😠

So, I love doing a permadeath attempt for my first time playing RPGs because it increases my immersion and I rp better when there's risk involved. I'll admit I didn't count fall damage that seemed like bs cus, but I'm not doing this for clout. Aside from that though I didn't do any savescumming. I'm also using Union patch, controller plugin, and stamina plugin, which I'd argue that sprinting is kind of "unfair" compared to the original. But again, not in it for the clout.
Anyways, I got to old camp and got hooked into a fued with Bloodwyn as his goons began screwing with me. I was basically dealing with that in between attempts at feeling out the monsters in the area and hauling ass from the ones that I couldn't handle. I was starting to get stumped on how to make cash and was scared of exploring too much because I know OHKOs were guaranteed, and from my time with Risen I knew that running away likely wasn't always going to be safe, even with sprint. After farming a couple levels, beating up the diggers outside of town for presumably helping Bloodwyns lackey mug me and getting a Withered Axe, I got some cash from random looting and some smart plays and used it to get to get the ability to loot lizards and wolves. I was then stumped because now I had just spent my only income on the ability to loot things I couldn't fight, and I thought that claws would include the talons of scavengers for some reason. I was sad when I realized they can only give meat. After realizing the Templars were pot dealers I was instantly intrigued and got one of them to escort me to their camp. I hadn't made any money yet, so letting him bully every monster along the way while I looted and chipped my XP closer to level 3 was a treat. I began luring random monsters to him for him to beat up, abusing the shit out of sprint. We were almost to the cultist village before I saw a pack of lizards off the side of the road. I ran up, aggrod them, and had them chase me back to my guide. Only, they ran right past him and absolutely destroyed me. I was dumbfounded by my own hubris, as it had been 3 or 4 hours of meticulously exploring what little I could and trying to manipulate the game to the best of my ability. As I stared at the screen for a few seconds, my buddy just kept swinging at the lizards. As he killed the last one, I leveled up. I saw my life bar go up a little bit. I wiggled the stick, and my corpse started turning. I opened my hot bar (union controller plugin adds an item wheel), and it worked. By leveling up, my corpse was alive. Normally I wouldn't count something like that, but I just said screw it, the game counted me as somewhat alive and I was too invested to give up. In the most hype moment of my life my corpse got up and gobbled down some cooked meat. I rationalized it for my rp that my templar friend had saved my life, resuscitated me. I was now very excited to join these virtuous stoners.....then I got there and realized they're a bunch of authoritarian pricks who follow Gurus that are sickeningly pretentious. So, I just figured I'd take them for what they've got and leave. I wandered around grabbing herbs and stray pot plants, I did the quest where you beat up the guy who's supposed to take over for another worker at the weed mashing (?) area. Upon completion, a Guru finally spoke to me. I was pleasantly surprised with a task to collect a butt load of plants and deliver them to an alchemist hut. This was my time to shine. I went and collected the harvest in the middle of the night because I couldn't find a bed. I was surprised to be promoted about asking to find a buyer. Intrigued I nervously clicked the dialogue choice and was relieved to find the dude didn't just attack me or rat me out. He wanted 50 ore I didn't have, so it took me a good ten minutes to find the blacksmith and unload. One more trip across town and he tells me to find cypher by the lake in new camp. Ight bet. So, worried that I would get ratted out or something, based off of my escalating encounters with Bloodwyn, I decided it was best to leave in the middle of the night. After almost getting massacred by wolves I just barely made it back to old camp. With a decent amount of extra cash, NO ARMOR, and all the healing items I could ask for, I very very stupidly headed the direction of my best guess towards new camp. I was in such a rush from heisting the Templars that I couldn't help but just gonfornit.I followed the river outside of old camp into the woods, avoiding creatures above my level. I'd love to say that from here my adventure continued in an epic fashion, but just as I was scouting out a molerat to go in for a safe kill, I was bit in the back and OHKOd by what appeared to be a velociraptor. No heroic death, no blaze of glory, not martyr moment to relish in. Just, a bite to the back and a corpse with 50 pot plants left out in the woods....

My not so friendly neighbour (sadly a close relative) who:

1. Illegally converted our old home wall which FIL had built to his home wall (we've now demolished that portion and rebuilt allowing enough setback as per city norms. FIL had constructed that area violating city norms which we've now rectified. That wall which was part of our home once is now a boundary wall. Our renovation and his construction was at the same time. It was under the pretext that FIL has encroached his land and built the wall. There was a smaller boundary wall on his side which he conveniently demolished.
   
2. Tresspassed into our property and took off with the cement breaker so that we cannot break that wall (we retrieved the item through police and as per the sub inspector's advice, we recalculated the boundary wall through revenue departments and it has come to notice the wall is indeed in our land, we've a standing complaint with local self govt for illegal construction against him, for construction without proper written notarized consent, that is the only way he can prevent the wall from coming down).
   
3. Verbally abused my wife, her father so that we cannot prevent his workers from entering our terrace for construction of his home.
   

Is now demanding we reduce the height of one boundary wall, which we constructed recently after the tresspassing/burglary from him so that he can facilitate putting a roofing sheet on his side of the property. He has roofing sheet installed there, which now rests just above the wall. Technically, as boundary walls go, half of that wall belongs to us and half to him, while the entire wall was constructed by us, spending our money.
I wanted to know what would happen if we refuse this demand (mind it, it was a demand, not a friendly chat, not a request, plain demand, as if he is our messiah)

So it was the Albany Alive at 5 series, a free concert thing the city does on Thursdays in the Summer. My girlfriend loves Hawthorne Heights and I love music so we went and it was a great time.
Apparently a staple of Midwest emo is to have stories told over interlude music between songs? I didn’t know this but it made for 3 great references.
The first was the band remarking about how they had to fill 90 minutes, that it would be the longest set they ever played, and they said “we’re like the emo Grateful Dead!”
The second one was during a story about the band being around a long time, 20 years now, and thanking the fans and trying to correlate themselves to other long-lasting bands and they said “….the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, or other bands than have been around forever”
The last one was probably during a story about taking care of the kids and turning them onto music and being good humans and it somehow ended with him saying “we’re trying to turn you into emo Deadheads!”

I am a 27yr old married male. I earn 2.14L per month. My monthly expenses plus existing EMI come to 1.2L . I want to buy a plot of residential land in my maternal village.
The street the plot is in is sought by all the youngsters of our community as the entire street is our relatives. The village is 3hr drive from Bangalore so all of my cousins want it. I got the offer because the seller is my mom’s class mate.

Okay, this might seem like an incredibly stupid question, but my sister has been saying really odd things recently, and I'm kind of worried because I don't want her to turn into a right-wing conspiracy nut, and I think she might be atleast a little at risk of becoming one.
So we had a conversation recently and she is 100% convinced Lana Del Ray, Taylor Swift, and essentially every modern musical artist has sold their soul to the devil. The proof she showed me was mediocre. Her main, and essentially only source of info was TikTok. I don't even have to explain how dumb that is. She's also been spouting some subtly transphobic things, and this pains me to admit, because I came out to her a few years ago. I'm her big sister, and I feel like I've failed at being one :/ I'm worried because our dad was a right-wing conspiracy nut with a plethora of mental issues, and that she might have picked up some of his beliefs. What should I do?

I'm working on a small village and decided to use a modular building approach so I can make everything within unity. I model each individual parts I'll need such as doors, stairs, walls, roofs, trees etc. in blender and I put it all together in unity.
Problem is, unity's building features are extremely lackluster. What would take me 10 minutes in blender takes almost half an hour in unity because I'm constantly fighting the Unity interface.
The reason I chose this approach was to take advantage of batching to get that extra performance. I duplicate the modular parts as I'm building the houses and whatnot in Unity, and batch them together, giving me a slight performance boost.
I got frustrated and decided to try out exporting an entire scene from Blender complete with houses and trees and rocks to see what kind of difference there is on performance.
Turns out, the scene that was made entirely within Blender gives the same fps if not more than the one using modular parts in Unity.
I did not expect this at all because all the duplicated parts (reused trees and rocks and walls and doors and windows...etc.) show up as their own fbx's in the project folder. If I were to build the whole thing in Unity I'd just have one fbx of each duplicated multiple times in the scene itself.
So I guess the only difference is the final build size? I just get more duplicates of the same thing in the projects folder as trade off for getting something done quick? Am I missing something?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to make my five person party into a 6 person party. We play more or less every week from 8pm EST to at the latest 1am. the party is level 9 and 44 sessions deep, so expect a plethora of lore, history, and inside jokes to hit you like a freight train immediately.
We use Roll20 for a virtual tabletop, Discord for voice, Dndbeyond for character sheets(roll20 is fine too) and beyond20 to tie everything together. Party composition consists of a rangerogue multiclass, Druid, Cleric, Paladin, and wizard.
To give a brief description of where the party is at right now:
The village of Elkden is under siege by a number of Barbarian tribes. The walls have fallen and barbarians have entered the city. The party has teleported in to assist the town from the onslaught of berserkers. Your character will also likely have been either from or in Elkden and are now defending yourself/your home.
So far the party has gone on a number of adventures, and has claimed a small kingdom for themselves, now owe favors to a number of sketchy people across the world, and almost killed a lich(who isn't too happy about that). For example, Librarians have at least one enchanted book trade in each tier on top of their other trades, and Farmers buy and sell every vanilla crop!
•Custom NPCs scattered around spawn, with trades, tips, or funny interactions (some more hidden with more valuable offers, do you like mob spawners?).
•New animations added to mobs, mocking those seen in Minecraft's animated trailers. Horses gallop, spiders climb, and old mobs no longer have rigid animation.

• On Fox News, hosts and guests questioned the documents found in Joe Biden's office and garage.
• Trump wrote on Truth Social that he was indicted in relation to an investigation into mishandling documents.

Fox News, without hesitation, leaned into defending former President Donald Trump, following the news that the former president was indicted on seven counts related to an investigation into mishandling government documents.
This was all despite tension earlier this year between the GOP frontrunner and the conservative network. Trump's relationship with Fox News took a big blow when text messages sent by hosts, now-former hosts, and executives mocking Trump and pro-Trump conspiracy theories were uncovered in Dominion Voting System's defamation suit against the network.

Food for thought historical issues with AoE units and technologies.

Chariots and Cavalry

You can recruit iron-age cavalry before you develop wheel and make chariots
Horse domestication was a big thing and enabled many societies to drastically change their way of living. This can be witnessed during Colombian exchange when Amerindians encountered horse, adopted them into their societies and quickly changed into a similar style of steppe-nomads known across Euroasia.
Originally, horses were smaller, and couldn't be ridden, and thus chariots were employed. Originally pulled by bulls or donkeys, horses were quickly adopted instead as they were much faster and nimbler.
Only during the Iron Age, larger breeds of horses were "developed" and we could see proper cavalry, there is even a transition form where pair of horse archers drove to battle, with one holding the reins of both horses, while the other shoot from a bow. However, very light skirmishing cavalry, consisting of naked dudes throwing javelins, can be possibly dated earlier.

Lack of Javelins and Spears

Javelins and Spears are one of the oldest known weapons, and are almost completely missing
Discounting scout, who seems to have a short spear, chariot, and hoplites.
Spears are just pointed stick. If you want to touch something dangerous, poke a snake or so, you take long stick. Congrats, you just re-discovered a spear (notice that re-discovering a wheel is considerably more difficult).
Incidentally, spear is one of the best weapons. You can make it shorter or longer (short spear or pike). It keeps enemy away from your body. It is easy to handle and super cheap. And if you take a bunch of dudes and train with them a bit, you suddenly have a primitive phalanx that could defeat almost anything.
Due to these reasons, spear was the basic weapon since the neolithic and basic spear and shield-wielding troops formed the core of all neolithic, bronze-age, and iron-age armies (and medieval). In fact, Hoplites are just iron-age (and not bronze-age) heavy spearmen in formation.
You can even throw a spear! And it doesn't have to be a specialized throwing spear (although that helps). In fact, famous Roman pilum was used in hth combat and thrown, and hoplites are portrayed throwing their spears as well (technically, you can throw any weapon and it will be quite effective, especially when you are charging the enemy at the same time).
Specialized units of skirmishers throwing javelins, whether foot or mounted, were incredibly common up to the middle ages. Yet, are almost completely missing from the game, if not for hunting villages. Even the populations that went through a bottleneck and forgot how to make advanced weapons like a bow didn't forget (or re-developed) sharpened throwing sticks (Maori and Australian Aborigines).

The first option: not at all. The group has done some pretty bad things in all campaigns with no retribution. But I think Mercer has his limits.
The second option: it’s cursing time! All of team B gets a curse effect that is almost, if not completely impossible to remove. Funny, but maybe too harsh for a long campaign.
The Third option: a more down-to-earth thing. With the gods tied up fighting the big bad, All representatives of the Dawnfather if not the entire pantheon become enemies of team B. They could join up with Luidinus, but then become enemies of several past characters from C1 and C2 (if not all of them. Remember, even non-god allied characters would prob get peeved about the torturing/kidnapping of their friends).
The fourth option: Repentance. The team does/promises something to cool the Dawnfather’s anger, like say stopping the bad guy or their souls become devoured.
The fifth option: Civil War! Two characters from team A have already sworn alliance to their gods, one of which is the dawnfather. At the very least it’ll be a way to slim down the guest character ranks.
What do you think will happen (anything generic like “the players will decide” or “it’s their game” will not be accepted)?
Bonus consequence: the entire village of simple country folk get wiped out by a militant religious order who’s temple was just destroyed. That’s why you don’t tickle the dragon’s tail, folks, no matter how justified you are.

I have 5100s on all 4 wheels with a 1" lift in the front. I've had them since Oct. 2021. They're pretty good shocks. I'd say it was worth it. Overall I'd give it a B+ grade. One small complaint I do have is a slight death wobble. Its not like those old jeeps, no those were flat out unsafe. Mine is minor. If I hit a good bump my steering will sway a slight amount. It usually feels fine most of the time. Its just every now and then its noticeable. The front control and I believe everything is nissan oem. And I replaced the front upper and lower control arms and tie rod ends by a good mechanic just a year ago. And just got new cooper all terrains less than a year ago. The truck is a 2015 with 112K and its not badly rusted. Nothing is leaking, all the components look good, seals, etc. Shocks still seem to be in good shape. I haven't seen much posted about this. Obviously I'm sure the reason is 1. height increase 2. cheap quality nissan control arms. But overall no complaints. God I also get this rattle when I accelerate and I can't find where its at. All the rear exhaust/cat components are clamped and solid and everything in the front is so concealed and difficult to get to. Like the up the sides of the engine. How the hell do you diagnose a heat shield rattle? I hope its not the transmission, I dont think its the transmission. Transmission coolant looks good when wiped with a rag. I know some transmission cars can get like a basket rattle. But It reponds decently I believe. Suspension does well overall. Everything is kept up. Overall its a good truck, just these couple Id say issues I mention with the lift and the mild high frequency rattle. Thoughts?
