Texas is known for its strong energy sector, with a large number of oil and gas companies based in cities like Houston and Dallas. Additionally, the technology industry is growing rapidly in Austin, which has been dubbed “Silicon Hills” due to the high concentration of tech companies in the area.

This can include attending industry conferences and events, joining local professional organizations, and reaching out to people in your network who may have connections in Texas.
Another important aspect of navigating the job market in Texas is to tailor your resume and cover letter to the local market. This can include highlighting any relevant experience or skills that are particularly valuable in Texas industries, as well as using language and terminology that is commonly used in the local job market.
Finally, it is important to be flexible and open to opportunities in different parts of the state. While certain industries may be concentrated in specific cities, there are often job opportunities in other areas as well. By keeping an open mind and considering a variety of job options, you can increase your chances of finding a job that is both fulfilling and financially rewarding.

2023.05.28 07:03 KunalDaga What's next for Y2

Coming up on the end of Y1 and I have to say this has been my luckiest run. I got an Ancient Seed really early on in Summer and then my first Prismatic Shard in late Fall and started going to the Skull Caverns on good luck days in winter (and got the lucky ring on the second day in SC!). I haven't played since Ginger Island was added so looking forward to exploring a new area but I still have to wait for a Red Cabbage seed to unlock it. What should I do till then?

Respect Yangchen

" I presume you’ve heard of the waterbending saying, ‘A feather’s weight moves a wagon’s load’? This scheme, as you put it, is where I apply the feather."
History: Suffering powerful visions of her past lives from an early age, the Air Nun Yangchen discovered she was the Avatar before she was even 11. Her unprecedented spiritual attunement to her past lives allowed her to claim their endless wisdom and experience as their own. However, it had a cost.
Yangchen lost her companion Jetsun in the Spirit World during Yangchen's first journey there, and the emotional toll of exploring her past lives left her with the weight of unbelievable regret and anguish. Following her mastery of the elements and her duel with General Old Iron, Yangchen became an adept spymaster pulling strings in secret throughout the world to shape the balance she sought to restore. She left behind a greatly-revered legacy of hard fought peace among the Four Nations, but beneath her legend lurked mistakes and regrets of her own whose impact resounded through the centuries.

2023.05.27 02:56 oversaltedfrenchfry Is attending the University of Malta worth it?

Okay so I'll try to explain my situation, as my life is a bit of a mess right now. I just graduated with my BS in psychology and I think I want to purse the M. Sc. in Cognitive Science at the University of Malta. However, I don't think I'll apply for another year or two, as I want work experience and to save money first.
Here is the situation. I just spent my last two semesters abroad. My first studying in Fiji and my second interning in Dublin, Ireland. Since I have experience with schooling in Fiji, I kind of have a taste for the "island time/inefficiency/untimeliness" that I've read about UoM before. I can handle that part. Also, I heard public transportation is bad, but I don't think that would hinder me that much since it's such a small island, I feel like I could walk pretty far and be okay with it.
This part is a little off topic but I could use advice on this too. I think I want a degree in cognitive science because it is so broad and I really don't know what I want to do with my life yet (leaning toward consumer psych or research maybe idk.) I heard that the experience at UoM largely depends on the course you're taking, so what do yall think about the M. Sc. in Cognitive Science course? The modules look really interesting to me and I think I would really enjoy it. I know it's risky getting a Masters in something when you don't know what you want to do yet, but honestly I just want to up my chances at getting a job since a Bachelor's degree is basically worthless. Additionally, I've always wanted to go to Malta, and doing a Masters program abroad is infinitely cheaper than doing it in the States.
Another factor to take into consideration: I'm trying to apply for Italian citizenship by descent. If I get it, it would be super easy to study in Malta because I could get an EU passport.
Also, I feel like I should say that all I want is a simple life on an island. Fiji, even being underdeveloped, was everything I ever wanted. I know Malta is infinitely different than Fiji, but I still want to experience it so bad and that doesn't mean I won't like it. I enjoy lots of sunshine and being near water. Anyway, all of this is to get me to the life I want.
Anyway, I apologize that this post is all over the place, but my life is in shambles right now and I don't know what to do. I'm feeling overwhelmed and just need advice. Any and all advice is welcome, thank you in advance.

2023.05.26 20:36 X2006_SubZero Al-Qatala is working with Shadow Company.

Al-Qatala is working with Shadow Company.
My points:
Khaled Al-Asad uses the same model as Hadir Karim, Hadir (Khaled Al-Asad) leads Al-Qatala.
Khaled Al-Asad has a skin depicting him in Shadow Company gear.
The AQ (Al-Qatala) soldiers in DMZ all arrive in vehicles with SC (Shadow Company) camouflage.
In Ashika Island, SC soldiers protect the Scavenger. An AQ elite, shown working with both AQ and SC.
Velikan was spotted in Raid EP.02, thus helping AQ.
Wishful thinking:
In the original story, there were the four horsemen..
Those were:
  • The 1st. Vladimir Makarov
  • The 2nd. Khaled Al-Asad
  • The 3rd. Victor Zakhaev
  • The 4th. Imran Zakhaev
This could mean we could see Vladimir Makarov connected to Shadow Company (Atom theory), since Hadir Karim (Khaled Al-Asad) already is.

2023.05.25 19:37 anon09290 Harry Crane: most competent at his job?

Harry got hired on his own merits and realized that SC didn’t have/needed a television department and became the head of it. He did very well in the role, and we see him solve many problems: buying all of the television slots for Nixon; Broadway Joe on Broadway; handling the client who asks about their computer. Even when he’s not well-liked, he’s brought to the new SCDP to run media. When PPL comes to visit, Harry is the only one who got a promotion. Jim pushes to make him partner. He has a place at McCann. You can argue that no one (excluding support staff) is more competent in their job then Harry.
Don is talented, but unreliable. He stops caring, is inconsistent with clients, and ultimately has to be put on leave.
Roger is charismatic. But he had everything handed to him. His father co-founded the company. He inherited his one account (Lucky Strike) and lost it.
Cooper co-founded the firm, and has his moments (like getting Don to sign the contract), but we never see him meaningfully contribute in the day-to-day work.
Pete does well, but his name got him his job. He would have been fired if it wasn’t for the fear of Dorothy Dykman-Campbell standing on Fishers Island talking about how poorly SC treated her son.
Peggy is creative, but she’s petty and terrible at being a people manager.
Lane is a great CFO, but ultimately embezzles from the company.
Is Harry sleazy? Sure. Is he perhaps the most dishonest man Cutler ever met? Probably. But he may be the most professionally competent one on the show.
