As part of next week’s explosive new GTA Online update — featuring new missions, vehicles, events, and much more — we’re continuing to improve the online experience with a number of experiential updates and upgrades across all available platforms.
Here’s a brief rundown of some of the things you can expect when GTA Online: San Andreas Mercenaries arrives on June 13:

• The ability to claim all destroyed vehicles at once when filing a Mors Mutual Insurance claim.
• Mors Mutual will no longer charge for recovering Personal Vehicles destroyed during contact missions.
• Custom description tags for garages to help quickly locate your favorite rides when calling the Mechanic.
• The ability to select from individual floors when requesting vehicles from the Eclipse Blvd Garage.
• Pressing D-Pad Right will engage Stealth Mode on the new F-160 Raiju Plane. Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) will move to L3/LS. Holding L3/LS when flying all VTOL aircraft will switch it into and out of VTOL mode.
• The option to re-request an active Mobile Operations Center, Avenger, or Terrorbyte delivered closer to your location via the Interaction Menu.
• Additional filters for Race types when browsing the Jobs Menu.
• The Willard Eudora and Albany Classique Broadway will be eligible for Taxi Work when using Taxi Liveries.
• Lesser-used vehicles will be removed from in-game websites to streamline the browsing experience. These vehicles will be made available via events showrooms, The Lucky Wheel, and other places.

Gameplay Updates

• A new Register as a Boss option in the Interaction Menu, merging SecuroServ and Motorcycle Club.
• A Buy All option when purchasing Body Armor at Ammu-Nation. Rank requirements for Body Armor are also being removed.
• Body Armor will be restocked after Quick Restarting a mission, matching the same Body Armor levels as when first entering the lobby.
• When equipping Body Armor via the Weapon Wheel, the type of Armor used will be relative to how much damage the player has taken.
• When parachuting or in freefall, players will no longer receive phone calls from Tom Connors or English Dave.
• Madrazo Dispatch Services no longer requires multiple players and can be taken on solo.
• Alternative sprint control (hold to sprint) in the Settings Menu.
• Players will be able to select a name for their Acid product (via the Interaction Menu) to receive a 5% sell bonus.
• Rank requirements for Daily Objectives will be removed to allow more players to participate.

Balancing Updates

• Payouts on many Collectibles and Events — such as Buried Stashes and Treasure Chests — will be increased. We are also correcting payouts for Gerald's Last Play and A Superyacht Life upwards by 25%.
• Rebalancing weapons on the P-996 Lazer and Mammoth Hydra (Freemode only).
• The Orbital Cannon can no longer be instantly reset or refunded to prevent players from being repeatedly targeted.

Career Progress

Track your criminal activities with Career Progress — a new feature that displays your progression as you rise through the criminal ranks and establish your empire. This will be accessible on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series XS from the GTA Online Main Menu or the Pause Menu, making it easier for both fresh-faced and veteran players to see all their accomplishments at a glance.

Creator Updates

• Dozens of new props are available in all Creators, including giant License Plate Walls, eCola cans, destructible fences, underwater mines, and more.
• A Snow weather option for Deathmatches, Races, and Survivals. Plus, Halloween themed additions arriving later this year.
• Option to toggle musical score on and off.
• Option to distinguish teams by assigning Outfits.
• Deathmatches will now have options for Dynamic Teams — players can change teams when respawning and Health Drain — where players lose health over time. Plus, new radar blip options, the ability to lock time of day and weather options in the lobby, options to choose respawn time for item and weapon pickups, and much more.
• Increased number of enemy spawn points in Survivals.
• Fixture Removal will be available in the King of the Hill Creator.
• The prop limit on PC will be increased to 300.

The Commonwealth diplomatic procession looked wholly out of place seated in the spartan crew compartment of the Fleet dropship. The interior held none of the grace of the cruise liner, nor the subtle warmth of the diplomatic ship. Status lights shone red, the thickly-padded harnesses pressed tight to each body. Empty hard points beckoned to hold equipment or weapons in their grasp. Medkits and backup breathing masks dotted the bulkheads behind the seats. Conduit, bundles of wiring, and junction boxes lay exposed between the struts overhead, evidence of the realities of military procurement: there is no room for luxury.
No, the procession wasn’t dropping into a combat zone, but they were still entering enemy territory.
Four dropships made for the Ascension, replacing the shuttles of the Good Omen with the improved defenses of the military transports. The Fleet was taking no chance after the suicidal freighter incident, adding eight of the carrier’s drones as additional escorts.
The sphere of warships surrounding the diplomatic vessels had spread into a shallow cone, the open end facing the planet. Their sensors and crisscrossing fields of fire would neutralize any threat to the dropships.
Still, everyone in the dropship appeared on edge.
Celescia held tight to the armrests. Yanna and Ruki sat on either side. Directly across from them, the mask-wearing Mystery Man’s blank slate faced in her direction. The sight of the formally-dressed procession crammed into the padded seats would’ve been laughable had the stakes not been so dire.
With each breath, each klick closer to the Ascension, Celescia waited for some malady to afflict her body. Logic told her no harm would come, yet she couldn’t shake her fear that she was beholden to the will of the Provenance and their Project Fidelity.
A hand touched Celescia’s forearm. She peeked around the thick shoulder padding at Ruki. She smiled back, mouth wide beneath the mask obstructing her upper face. Yanna grasped Celescia’s hand on the other side, returning her version of a smile.
Across the way, Dash’s head tilted. “We’ll be by your side the entire time. We’ll keep you safe. I promise,” he said over the troupe’s comm.
“I know,” Celescia answered.
Still, she was afraid.

The dropship docked on the executive level, settling into the berth like a pollinating insect landing on a blooming flower. The airlock opened and a pair of marines in dress uniform departed first. Councilor Traveska went next, other diplomats trailing. Regent Anncellis and the top leadership of Acculturation followed.
Then came the time for Sisters Celescia.
She cleared the hatch and formed a single line with Yanna and Ruki on one side, and the Mystery Man on the other. The airlock was wide, sleek but utilitarian, and most noticeably, pristine. Not a single scuff lined the deck, the integrated lockers, or the thresholds of the hatches.
Three station personnel in sharp dress uniforms greeted the procession as they stepped into the corridor. Their expressions were neutral, even bordering on pleasant, but there was an unmistakable contempt in their eyes.
Celescia recognized the one in the center as the station administrator, a member of a rival house of the Royalty lineage. The appointment had been used to garner favor for the Imperatrix’s agenda, a common tactic of the noble class.
Celescia didn’t necessarily hate the administrator for taking the position but loathed the side he had chosen. She imagined all the Provenance leadership passing through the same corridor, escorted by their staff and servants. The secrets that had been discussed, and schemes concocted to secure their power at the expense of the people. She shuddered at the thought and pressed on despite the repulsion she felt for boarding the station as if her very presence there ran a risk of catching a disease of elitism.
Dash must’ve picked up on her aversion, for he pulled his elbow close to his side, talking her hand with it. “It’s not the place, it’s the people.”
He was right, of course.
Ministry of Security officials lead the procession deeper into the station. She was filled with contempt at the sight of them, her spirit forever burdened with the painful memory of her murdered team.
The corridor connected to a gathering hall. Sculpted glass lighting hung from the ceiling, while wall displays cycled through scenic vids of Preemona. Exhibits ringed the space, holding cages with live creatures, interactive exhibits, and collections of ancient artifacts. A small but enthusiastic flock of reporters waited at the outlet. Security officers and bots formed a line in front of the group, preventing them from approaching the diplomats. That didn’t stop the reporters from lobbing questions at the delegation as they passed, receiving only polite waves or platitudes in response.
Celescia was at first shocked the Provenance let reporters aboard the station. But she reasoned it was a calculated move, the Provenance trying to paint themselves as gracious hosts of the oppressive regime who’d come to assert their dominance.
Halfway across the hall waited their hosts. Ambassador Pertrovich and her staff stood at the forefront. Dressed in elegant gowns and suits and standing with grace, Celescia could sense their dismay in their thin smiles. For cycles, they’d worked on the frontlines to convince the Provenance of the benefit of the charter, and now they had to face their failure in front of the leadership of the Commonwealth.
Behind them stood the Preservationist-aligned members of the Provenance, their attention now focused on the newcomers. Most wore neutral expressions, though a few glared death at the Acculturation party.
Celescia scanned their ranks. She recognized most of them; ministers, regents, business leaders, protopriests, and other members of the noble class. She met some of their stares, registering the disapproval and even outright disgust oozing out of them at the sight of the Mystery Man by her side. She spotted Minister Tryssnym, the longtime power player of the Provenance, holding a peculiar glint in his eyes. He seemed eager to observe an imminent spectacle.
“They don’t look happy to see you,” Dash said.
“Of course not. We called them spineless devotees of a corrupt despot,” Yanna said.
“Yeah, that will do it.”
Celescia stood tall, flooded with a cascade of revolving emotions. Pity at their ignorance, repugnance at their bigotry, anger at their ungratefulness to the Commonwealth and the advantages it gifted her people.
The escorts for the visitors stopped short of the Preservationist coalition. Golden spikes appeared above the heads of the crowd, shifting back and forth. The center of the body parted, revealing the ornate splendor of the Provenance Royal guards. Clad in gold-covered armor, and holding spears of the same, eight of their ilk marched with robotic precision. They stopped, forming two rows. A horned instrument blew a melody of the Royalty lineage.
The guards rotated to face each other and took a measured step back, forming a channel between them.
In it appeared none other than the Imperatrix himself.
The embodiment of regality and beauty, he held himself as if he’d been Imperatrix for millennia. The traditional Imperatrix circlet rested on his head, its ancient jewels twinkling with each minute turn of his head. His expression remained effortlessly dignified as he scanned the opposing delegation with a bemused grin.
Rragustus halted opposite Traveska. The pair faced off, drawing the attention of the entire hall. Neither leader flinched or offset any hint of uncertainty. With natural smoothness, the councilor bowed per the traditional greeting for the Imperatrix.
“Imperatrix Rrghustus, I know you know who I am, but formalities dictate a proper introduction. I am Councilor Traveska, elected leader of the Commonwealth. It is an honor to finally meet you in person. I thank you for receiving our Commonwealth delegation.”
Rrgaghtus returned the greeting and offered a warm smile. “Councilor Traveska, it is I, Imperatrix Rrgaghtus of the Pree Provenance, who am honored to be in your presence. On behalf of the Pree people, we extend our appreciation for your journey to our corner of the galaxy when you have so many other important matters requiring your attention.”
“I assure you, Imperatrix, that the Pree charter summit is of great importance to the Commonwealth,” Traveska replied. It was an understatement that Traveska managed to deliver without any hint of undertone.
The two leaders went on to make other important introductions. None of the other Pree leadership held the same amount of subdued charm that Rrgaghtus had, but there were no outright hostilities exchanged.
With the formal introduction complete, the station admin addressed the crowd. The opening procedures would begin soon. Until then, the delegation was free to view the exhibits in the hall and enjoy any refreshments. He stepped aside and a door along one of the side walls opened. Servant bots and staff exited bearing trays and dispenser carts.
The Councilor and his top delegation members stepped to the far side of the hall with the Imperatrix and his ministers. Celescia caught a fleeting view of Traveska’s face. His hard-set expression revealed the intense discussion that was about to be had.
Spotting the Preservationists descending upon the newcomers, she saw that the rest of the delegation was in for a rough time of their own.
One of the neutral regents made for the troupe. Celescia’s pulsed ticked up a notch. She’d met him many times before she’d joined Yanna and Ruki. He was reasonable from what she remembered. “Regent, it is good to see you again,” she said as he came before her.
He went to speak but confusion masked his face. “We’ve met before?”
Celescia scolded herself for the slip. Of course, the regent wouldn’t remember. “I thought we had, but I might be mistaken.”
“I would remember meeting a traitor like you,” he said, glaring at her with disdain. The open hostility took her aback. She hadn’t expected it from someone like him. “Your talents are undeniable, but you squander your gifts. It’s a shame given your popularity.” He gestured to the Mystery Man but refused to make eye contact. “Your stance on the charter is disappointing, your propaganda disingenuous, but your perverted showcases with this Human are outright disgusting.”
“And you’re a rude narcissist,” Yanna snapped.
“Shut your mouth, lowborn! I’m not done speaking.”
Yanna said nothing else, but Celescia could feel the anger in the tension of her partner’s arm. On the other side of Celescia, Dash shifted closer to her.
The regent wasn’t discouraged. He went on, emboldened by his vicious attack. “There are many who believe that you deserve punishment for speaking so negatively about the nobility. I happen to share their opinion.” He gestured at Celescia with two manicured fingers, stabbing the air with gusto. His head grew uncomfortably close to where she caught the scent of alterants upon his hot breaths. She fought the urge to lean back, to lash out in response, struggled to retain her composure—
A hand went to the regent’s chest, pushing him back. The Mystery Man now bladed himself between Celescia and the regent. He waved a finger at the belligerent bully.
Even if the regent didn’t understand the gesture, his PD would’ve translated it for him. “How dare you touch me, filth!” he said to Dash, finally making eye contact. He shot a fiery gaze at Celescia. “I demand your deviant man to apologize!”
Celescia had enough. “Your behavior is unbecoming of your stature, regent. I will not be spoken to in this manner.”
“I will not be lectured about manners and decorum by some treasonist harlot—”
The slap came out of nowhere. In one instant, the regent spewed his vile insults at her. The next, his head was spun 90 degrees to the side, mouth open, eyes wide in utter shock. The Mystery Man’s white-clad arm hovered in front of his chest, bent at the elbow in preparation for another strike.
The crowd around them took immediate notice, hushed whispers and gasps of disbelief. The regent found himself, focusing a hate-filled glare at the Mystery Man. His flat palm shifted higher as if to dare the regent to fling insults once again.
“Don’t do it,” Celescia said to Dash as security officers slipped through the surrounding crowd, appearing out of thin air. They formed a circle around the troupe, staring at the Mystery Man in bloodlust. One of them held a stunner, pointed down, but deployed and ready to use.
“Why did you strike the regent?” the supervisor demanded.
Celescia said, “The regent was verbally abusing us. The Mystery Man—”
“Quiet. I wasn’t talking to you.” The supervisor glared at the Mystery Man. “Answer my question.”
“That’s no way to talk to a lady,” came a deep voice. Hearty footsteps sounded against the floor as a big marine shouldered through the crowd. Gunnery Sergeant Alvarez approached the troupe only to be cut off by the stunner-wielding Pree.
“This is an internal security matter,” the supervisor said from inside the circle of his subordinates.
“Not when it involves any member of the Commonwealth delegation,” Alvarez replied. The officer blocking him didn’t move. “You’d better put that fucking thing away before I shove it up your ass,” he whispered before peering down at the Pree.
His threat needed no translation. The security officer holstered the stunner. Alvarez stepped around him and stood beside the Mystery Man.
“Everything okay over her, ma’am?” Alvarez asked Celescia.
“Yes. The regent here was being rude, and the Mystery Man corrected him on his behavior.”
Alvarez gave the regent an unimpressed once-over. “Hopefully he’s learned his lesson.”
The regent barred his teeth before slinking away beneath Alvarez’s intense stare. The security officers loitered a moment, then blended back into the crowd.
Alvarez peered around as the onlookers went back to their conversations. He directed the troupe to follow him toward the edge of the hall. When they emerged from the crowd, he leaned in close. “Please refrain from starting a diplomatic incident.”
“We will,” Celescia promised and thanked the man.
“Anytime,” he said. He sized up the Mystery Man and gave an approving nod before he left.
A few in the crowd began to shift toward the troupe, building courage after the incident. Celescia took the reprieve to whisper at Dash. “You must control yourself!”
“What you did was very inappropriate,” Yanna said.
“I am under control. That guy was being an asshole,” he answered.
“We don’t condone what he did,” Ruki said.
“But there are cultural differences you must consider,” Celescia added.
“Listen, I’m not standing here and listening to that vile crap. Especially when it’s directed at a lady.”
Within moments, a trio of regents had mustered the courage to approach. “Remind me to praise you for your chivalry should we get out of this alive,” Celescia said, and resumed her public facade, greeting them and entering an opposed but civilized conversation.
The tension from the confrontation had slipped from her mind when the message came through. She read it again and needed several minutes to excuse the troupe from the conversation.
“What is it?” Ruki asked as they stepped aside, keeping ahead of a trail of admirers.
Celescia breathed deeply, preparing herself. “There’s someone we need to meet with. I need you to come with me right now.”

So about November last year we had a staff party at a night club in Newcastle-upon-Tyne (I'm from the UK and work in Newcastle) where we had all the stores in our franchise having a good time. Except one girl, who I will refer to as C, was so hated by everyone in our store because she would spout so much racist language, swear at staff, customers and delivery drivers, and would find it hilarious when others were hurt or miserable.
Long story short, C had a weird obsession with Gay managers, one of them, I'll call him George, was 19 at the time and is such a lovely lad. I'm 26, I was 25 at the time of the party, and I treat George like a little brother who I want to protect. So at the party, she is that intoxicated to the point she claimed to "black out" in the ballpit and attempted to put her hands down George's pants. She got kicked from the party about the time I was leaving to head home as I was on the open the day and C rocks up hungover and getting yelled at all morning by me for ignoring everything I was telling her.
I went home and the next day the store found out C had been suspended for SA on George which after a week ended in termination. Yet she still tried to apply to other McDonald's and got another job which lasted 2 weeks before she got fired because she wouldn't shut up about her dismissal from our store.

ok, ok, i can hear the laughter already, but hear me out before u start throwing them tomatoes on me.
On PSVR, the only VR driving game i tried was DRIVE CLUB and it was nice, no doubt, doesn't hold a candle to GT7 on PSVR 2.
But i need to say, even on PSVR u could do a couple of things in DRIVE CLUB u can't do in GT7 on psvr2 :

1- in drive club, i could stick my head out of the window and look on the ground, the tires, it was interesting, like real like, u could stick ur head out of the window, in GT7 if u try to get out of the car, u see a wireframe.
2- GT7 only has view from inside the car, isn't that weird ? i know it is the best view point, but even in DRIVE CLUB, u had multiple views of the car, and i admit, they were pretty cool seeing the car in 3rd person,
I am sure these are not technical limitations, but more because of immersion, but i still wonder why they are ommited and not included, at least multiple points of view for driving.

With the recent news that a potential consortium of players may boycott their NIL being included due to the $ amount being too low, I propose this as viable options and am curious what the community thinks.
HOW REAL ARE THE PLAYERS, REALLY?
As great as it could/would be to have a roster full of real players on day 1 so we can play as our favorite players and give them virtual glory - real players in a college game is not cental to the overall experience. When we talk about building a dynasty, we do not talk about making sure Jake Plaster, 3-star QB out of Dunedin, FL, who is going to be a true frosh at Florida Atlantic this year, wins a Heisman. We talk about turning FAU into a ACC or SEC powerhouse.
Don't get me wrong, the story we could create with Jake Plaster would be a fun one. But if you're not already a FAU fan, or from Dunedin, FL, would you know if I just made this guy up? Because I did. The actual player is Luke Rucker, 3-star QB out of Sanford, FL.
If we had real rosters with the game, in any given dynasty a maximum of 5 "real" players are going to win the Heisman. Most of us will play for 10, 12, 15, 30 years of a dynasty. Being able to watch the real Luke Rucker do well in college football might be cool if we did something great with him. Or he could be a total flop, transfer to a FCS team after his frosh year, convert to Safety, and end up a sales executive for John B. Stetson hat company in 10 years.

THE FOCUS IS THE SCHOOL, NOT THE PLAYERS
What I think we want out of our college football game is that FAU feels like FAU, and Alabama feels like Alabama.
I'm a pretty big college football fan, have been for the better part of 30 years. I'm a Mizzou guy, was at school there in the 90s when Larry Smith was the coach and Corby Jones was our QB and we played in some great games. I was a season ticket holder with my dad for the entire Gary Pinkel era, I earned a reputation among Mizzou online communities for making highlight videos of Mizzou's games from 2006-2010ish, and even contributed a bit to the beginning of www.rockmnation.com with Bill Connelly before Rock M became a part of SB Nation's huge surge and Bill Connelly became the force of nature he is.
I say all of that to say that I don't have a clue who is on Alabama's roster without looking it up. I can name a few players, sure, but I have no idea really. And I'm willing to bet we're all in this boat - we know who some of the big players are, but if you're going to start a new dynasty with Troy you MIGHT know one of their players unless you're already a Troy fan.
What I do know about Alabama is that they should have as much talent on the field as any team in college football. I know Bryant-Denny Stadium is huge, and should be sold out for every game, and have a sea of crimson and cream other than the visiting fan sections in the seats. I know their chants, I know their fight songs, I know they have good looking cheerleaders because it's the south, and I know they expect to win every game they play.
And that's what CFB24 should be aiming at. NIL of the real players isn't icing on the cake. It's not even sprinkles on the icing. It's getting rainbow sprinkles instead of all one color.

ROSTER PARAMETERS ARE THE ANSWER
CFB24 and beyond, just like its predecessors, will be great in part if the game is good at generating a balance of realistic fictional players for years to come. If we can't get that, then the rest of this is all meaningless.
In the past, and especially those of us old enough to remember the days even before DT Linder, etc., either named the rosters ourselves or just played with WR #81 for a couple of years. And just like one of my above paragraphs pointed out, it didn't matter that we didn't know his real name because we didn't know his real name anyway. He may have been just like the real WR #81 on that team, but honestly we have no idea. And it was fine because the game was fun.
So, making the assumption that the game is capable of creating balanced, realistic, fictional players - lean into it.
The game, at startup, should create fictional rosters for every single team. Every one of us will get a different roster to start. Each player will have a name, height, weight, skin tone, number, hometown, abilities, style, uniform combo, etc. But it's procedurally generated from the start, so any similarities will be purely coincidental and will never repeat.
Each team can be hardcoded for year 1 to have certain parameters their roster should meet, and it will make schools feel authentic from the start.
Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, etc., should be full of players that were recruited as 4-star and 5-star players out of HS, with 3-star players filling the depth chart. You can easily find data from the past 10+ years showing what a typical class breakdown looks like for schools to break it down to what % of the roster is RS SR, SR, RS JR, JR, RS SO, SO, RS FR, FR. What % of the roster is a certain position to meet their current play style. What % of the roster is from home state, vs neighboring states, vs the rest of the country (which will help make Pipeline States feel accurate for recruiting).
So when you start your game, and you get a QB1 at USC named Michael Moss, wearing #5, that is a RS SO, standing 6'3" weighing 225 lbs, is from Las Vegas, NV, is a 86 OVR and looks like a new version of Cam Newton, how many of you are going to take to the streets because "BUT THAT'S NOT CALEB WILLIAMS!"
Of course it's not Caleb Williams. But he's a stud QB at USC, the band is playing 'Fight On' as he runs out of the tunnel and the Trojan is stabbing his sword into midfield, thousands of USC fans have 2 fingers in the air, and you're about to put a beating on UCLA. You're already trying to recruit his replacement because Michael Moss is leading the Heisman Hopefuls for you this season, and as a RS SO he's sure to go Pro after the year you're having with him. And that 5-star Athlete is going to make a great QB.
And by year 2 the rosters are 25% fiction anyway.
I'd say just lean into it and start them fictional from day 1.
The most important thing we can get is the schools are represented accurately and believably. It's not about the players, and honestly never has been.

I was at Costco buying dog food a couple weeks ago and saw they had the brand new K-Sig “v3.0” golfballs in stock, so curiosity (and Costco’s prices) got the best of me, and I had to pick up a box. I played the v2.0 balls for a while, but the commonly-reported issues of spin and durability eventually started outweighing their value for me, so I switched to Vice Pro which I have been playing since. Vice will basically be my comparison point through this review, and unfortunately I don’t have access to a TrakMan or anything, so these are only my observations based on feel and on course performance.
1. Putting: No real complaints on the green. They roll true, although they feel pretty firm and clicky off the putter face.
2. Short Game: I got insane spin with the Kirkland v2.0 around the green; every pitch and chip without even trying would one hop and stop, even on poor contact, and they’re probably the only ball I’ve ever played where I could consistently get them to actually spin back several feet on shots 100 yards and in. The v3.0 seems to spin significantly less for me on most chips. Unless I really try to spin the ball, they tend to roll out quite a bit more than I’m used to. Short approach shots and pitches still hold the green no problem, but they do release forward from their ball mark instead of just dropping in place.
3. Short/Mid Irons: For me, this is where the intentional changes Costco likely tried to make based on customer feedback really start becoming apparent. I found with the v2.0 that I was losing at least a half club in distance with everything 9 iron and above due to their spin. So far I haven’t noticed much difference in distance or trajectory with short/mid irons from the Kirkland v3.0 versus my normal Vice Pro shots. I am noticing two drawbacks, however: side spin seems to be exaggerated for me with the v3.0, and they feel extremely firm off the face. Maybe it’s just my small sample size, but I’m noticing on swings that feel identical to me, the new Kirklands will draw or fade more than Vice Pro. As with chips and pitches, they tend to release forward on the green instead of just dropping in place, so backspin definitely seems lower than with the v2.0 or even Vice Pro. Contact does feel very hard, and they are pretty loud when hit with a mid iron.
4. Long Irons/Hybrids: Shots with long irons and hybrids feel a tad softer off the face for me than with short and mid irons, but they are still definitely firm and clicky relative to Vice Pro. They launch very high, and side spin is still higher than I’m used to. I struggle to keep long-iron shots low with the v3.0, and they are finishing about 5-10 yards further off target than what I would consider my average. I haven’t hit enough long iron/hybrid shots with the v3.0 yet to know for sure, but I would say they are coming up just a few yards short for me.
5. Woods: Same feedback as with long irons and hybrids. Pretty firm off the face, loud at impact, high launch, maybe a very slight loss in distance if any, and more unintentional shot shape than I’m used to.
6. Driver: With driver, the Kirkland v3.0 feels hard as a rock and is extremely loud off the face. Definitely not a pleasant sound off the tee. Performance-wise, it’s actually pretty solid. I may even be gaining a few yards with it, and it tends to have a nice medium trajectory and hang in the air forever. Exactly what you want from a lower-spin ball. For some reason I’m not getting the side spin with driver I’ve been experiencing with other long clubs, so it does tend to be on target for me.
7. Durability: Costco definitely addressed the durability issues v2.0 had. The plus side of the new covers being rock hard is that they seem extremely durable so far. I’ve barely even noticed a blemish on a v3.0 ball after regular play.
Conclusion: Kirkland has definitely addressed the issues with their v3.0 ball, but for my preferences they may have actually gone too far the other direction. They are certainly more durable and spin less, but I don’t know if I can get used to how firm/hard they are, they don’t have as much touch around the green, and don’t hold greens nearly as well on approach shots. Maybe it’s just in my head, but the added side spin I’m experiencing is also a problem. I might still pick up a box from time to time in a pinch for the value, but I think for the most part I will personally be sticking with Vice. For those of you currently playing firmer low-spin balls who aren't picky about the hard covers or holding greens quite as well, I think these are still an amazing value, won’t sacrifice any distance for you, and the covers won’t wear out anymore.

There is also Natalia, a college student who's friend was somehow able to score 3 tickets fo the theme parks grand opening week. Another option is Stephanie, a 30 year old single mother who was given a ticket by her best friend as a birthday present. She didn't really want to come, as she felt the idea of the park was disgusting. But accepted to go anyway as it was a gift from her friend. TLDR: Asian CS Male who dabbles with music worried about college acceptances a year early

I hope you can lend me your guidance and advice as I navigate a crucial point in my career. As a Master Plumber with 18 years of experience, I recently made the difficult decision to leave my position at a residential service and repair company. The primary reasons for my departure were a relentless work schedule, safety concerns, and an overall feeling of burnout.
During my time there, I found myself working an exhausting 70+ hours per week. Despite repeatedly mentioning the faulty breaks on my company van to the owner, no action was taken until it nearly caused a serious incident. In addition, I worked as an instructor for the company's apprenticeship program during evening classes and taught blueprint reading at a local community college. Unfortunately, the workload and toxic company culture took a toll, leading to burnout.
  
• Maintenance Plumber for a Local School System: While this job seemed ideal for someone approaching retirement, I encountered frustration as administration often instructed me to "hide in a mechanical room" during slow periods, leaving me feeling unproductive and inefficient.

Following the burnout I experienced in my last job, I am eager to find ways to recover faster and make the best decisions for my future. Currently, I am contemplating roles such as manufacturing maintenance tech, maintenance supervisor, or exploring remote plumbing designer positions on LinkedIn. In the past, I have applied to and interviewed for the position of building inspector, at two different counties near me… made it through all of the interviews, but ultimately another candidate was chosen.
My mind still feels somewhat foggy, and I want to ensure that I make well-informed choices. Any advice, suggestions, or personal experiences you can share would be immensely valuable in helping me chart a new course. I appreciate your support, and thank you in advance for your insights!

Hello folks, yellow belt here, about 9 months in. I have a couple competitions under my belt and have been reasonably successful making throws in randori. It is something like a competition off season right now where I live, and I am trying to focus on making a more complete game before fall and could use some advice. First, I would like to clear up some of the prerequisite points: yes I am asking my coaches the same questions, yes I know that I may get little use out of asking strangers on the internet for advice - but at this point, I am just trying to broadly gather knowledge before more focused training. Also, none of my coaches have my build, so even just a few suggestions from a broader audience would be great.
First some details on my physical build: I am about 185lbs/84kg, 5'7"/170cm. I have short legs/limbs in general for my height with 30"/76cm legs. I am also a lefty and lean very heavily into that fact when I play Judo.
In my current game, I have noticed that I more or less have two separate strategies depending on if 1) my opponent is taller than me, and 2) if my opponent is heavier than me. My first set of strategies is used usually when I fight people lighter than me, and always when they are shorter. This game revolved around combinations of sasae, ouchi, and osoto gari - which I can usually throw any of these techniques in combination with each other in any order, and especially love combining the three together in one string in the order I listed above. I think I am pretty quick and fairly strong for my weight, which allows me to get these throws against people that are generally much more skilled than I am.
My problem lies in my strategy against taller and/or especially heavy folks. When fighting bigger players, I am very ogoshi,ouchi, and koshi garuma centric, with sasae thrown in there for set ups. In cooperative drills, ogoshi is by far my favorite technique and feels the cleanest/sharpest/fastest of any of my techniques, and I find that I can throw a high quality Ogoshi against pretty much any body type in non-randori settings. My problem here is that going for ogoshi often is challenging to set up, and it gives up dominant grips which I can usually achieve against even very skilled right handed players. Koshi Garuma is also challenging being such s timing based and somewhat circumstantial throw that is also newer to me - very much still working on it, but I have gotten it a couple of times. I often find that, in Randori, I struggle to get my taller fighter game and then resort back to the strategies I use against shorter players, but that rarely works considering how much shorter I am versus many people in my club.

All of this long winded explanation is to ask the question: does anyone have any advice or suggestions about how I can develop a strategy to connect my two styles of randori together? Should I add a new throw, particularly a forward throw, to my taller game that does not give up dominant position and try to make it work in my shorter fighting game? Should I keep working Ogoshi until I can get it against bigger people, or should I relegate it to special circumstances (i.e. when a taller person goes for an over shoulder grip exposing their back)? Should I pick a few new throws, or a few from these that I frequently attempt and build a more uniform game around that? Is there a system for shorter players in slightly heavier weight classes that are worth looking in to, especially for lefties?

This isn't meant to be a detailed analysis and review, so I'm not going to touch on the themes or more specific aspects of the story. I just wanted to throw some thoughts on here after finishing the book a couple of days ago.
I enjoyed this book after a few false starts when I got it last year. I got the book a long while back, and I'd begin it, and put it down, again and again. The first few chapters weren't bad, but they didn't hook me, and I'd end up reading something else as a result.
But, then I picked up Hendrix's newer novel "How To Sell A Haunted House" and really enjoyed it. I noticed a couple of pacing issues in that book, but enjoyed it so much, I decided to buckle down and finish Book Club.
Haunted House gave me a better feel for Hendrix's writing, who first came on my radar because of his book Paperbacks From Hell. Once I got a sense of his tone and style, it was a lot easier to get sucked into Book Club.
But now that I've read two of his novels, I think the trend between them is definitely a problem with third acts, and I was curious if anyone else felt the same way, or if this was unique to these two books in his catalog.
The central parts of the books and the rising action both get really intense and exciting, and he dumps a ton of new concepts at you and hints at larger plot points and more story to tell, then it's like he got a phone call in the middle of a discussion and he quickly "wraps things up" with "and then they have a big fight, win, and it's all resolved, the end!" And he runs off to talk to his aunt or whatever.
In Haunted House he suddenly throws all these other puppets and dolls into the battle, and he never explains how they gained sentience, and he doesn't touch on the other paranormal elements he introduced.
And in Book Club, he quickly adds in that Slick is going to possibly turn into a vampire, a possible vampire association, and only briefly touches on his central characters lives in an epilogue fashion.
I can see what he may be going for here- leaving the reader wanting more, introducing an element of mystery to his stories, chilling implications....
But I think he doesn't do a great job of having that effect. He certainly does make me wish there was more, but not in a "Oh no, what a terrifying thread left hanging!" And more in a "This feels like it was setting up for a sequel that won't ever come" way.
I think this is magnified by the fact that his endings feel truncated, so we're so suddenly thrown into the final confrontation, that I end up lingering on those under developed aspects even more. I end up feeling like, if the third act had had more time to breathe, then maybe there'd have been more satisfaction for those elements.
As for the frustration I mentioned in the title- Book Club has some pretty realistic depictions of middle class suburbia, at least from my country bumpkin perspective. I found myself disliking everyone in the novel except Ms. Greene. I sympathized with the main character, and I found myself infuriated with how she was treated.... And then the time skip happens and she's in lock step with everyone! Ahhh! Haha, it was a great example of how easily people can be pressured into conformity and a lack of empathy for people outside their circles, but man, that entire section of the book raised my blood pressure!
I know Hendrix is in the HorrorLit subreddit, not sure if he browses here, so I'll just crosspost it there, so if you end up reading this- keep up the good work! I know I had some criticisms, but I still enjoy your books a lot.
Anyone else have similar feelings, disagree?

I'm (21m) a rising college senior and my sister (18f) is a rising college freshman. We're both going to the same college, and we're both business majors. I guess we have a lot of common interests. My family talked with her about what she will do in college. She said that she plans to concentrate in marketing (which I also do), and minor in public policy (which I'm also minoring in). The school also has a masters in analytics program which I'll be doing after I finish my undergrad, and my sister is already thinking about doing her masters in analytics. She was also talking about clubs she planned to join once she starts college, and many of those are also clubs I'm in. She's even trying to get into the same freshman dorm I did, and she's looking at joining the same church group I'm in (there's like 10 different church groups on campus).
I casually said that my sister copies everything I do, without making it sound mad or accusatory or anything. But she interpreted things differently and said that I was accusing her of copying me, and that I should be proud of her for getting into the college and having well thought plans. I said that am happy for her, and I was just making a casual comment in a neutral way, but she misunderstood my intentions. She was furious because I made a joke about her and called her a jealous copycat (which is not what I implied or meant at all). I tried to clear things up with her, but my parents said that I shouldn't have made a joke about her.
I said that I didn't make a joke about her, and that I didn't mean anything negative when I said what I said. I then pointed out that they (i.e. my parents and my sister) always make jokes about me that I don't like. For example as a kid I was quite overweight and up to this day they would still joke about it and shame me for it. Or whenever I struggle to use something like a can opener or edge trimmer they would make fun of me and joke that I should be back in kindergarten, which I find quite hurtful. And there's many more examples of that.
I pointed this out to them, and they said that those jokes are "justified", while my "joke" about my sister was totally malicious, and that I should apologize to her. I maintained that it was not a joke, and that their jokes about me are wrong.
