Me (f29) and we will call her Amanda (29f) have been best friends for 25 years, started in preschool. For the most part we have been tied at the hip. She was my maid of honor and is my childs godmother. We have had a few hiccups in our friendship, mainly in adolescence, but they never lasted long. Amanda is severely depressed and has borderline personality disorder. She has had this since we were in middle school. This past year her mental health hasn’t been great and whenever it is the worst of the worst she completely ghosts me. Wont talk to me for 3-4 weeks. (We normally text or FaceTime daily). I get it, depression can be so damn tough and sometimes you don’t have the energy to talk. I really do get it as I’ve suffered from depression my whole life as well. The first few times this happened I just messaged her daily and let her know I’m here for her and waited for her to reach out. Recently she didn’t talk to me for about 4 weeks even though she knew I was going through some serious stuff with my family. I was a little hurt but again, I get it. However, I recently found out that she is still talking to other friends daily when she is “ghosting” me. I’m happy she has people but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me feel bad, especially her not reaching out to me. During the 5 week hiatus she found out her sister was pregnant and this made her spiral. She called me and asked if she could stay with me for a few days. I agreed with open arms. Then she left, and I didn’t hear from her again. And I haven’t in a couple weeks. I really want to be there for her but this friendship seems so one sided. Her sister informed me that Amanda got a new job this week. I’m hurt that she didn’t reach out to me but my husband says it’s not about me. Any advice? Similar stories?

Yea, one of these. Rambles for your Sunday read.
It's almost been one month since the man who claimed to "love love me" ghosted me out of nowhere.
A man who I've been involved with for 2 years (almost 4 years since I've known him and our long break due to my Dday). We reconnected after his divorce.
I had high hopes when we reconnected. My love for him had remained and if anything the pedestal I had him on was even higher now somehow.
Our time a part let me romanticize him more and built him into something he wasn't.
So this time around, when he seemed bitter possibly from his divorce (they divorced when we were NC and not because of our affair) and he was getting shorter and more impatient than ever with me, I was left confused at his seemingly misdirected anger and bitterness.
The man who could tell me I was "his perfect woman" was now inconsistent and flakey. The man who claimed he wanted a future with me and to build a family together, now couldn't return texts or calls in a timely manner.
I wondered where my once stable, best friend was? The man who knew me inside and out and was there for me during the worst, the man who claimed he never connected with anyone like me-- and the man who made me feel beautiful and sexy for the first time in 10+ years. The man who gave me constant affirmation and all the right words. The man who I could talk to for hours and knew exactly what I needed to turn me on. He said he was putty in my hands, but I felt the same about him. I was grateful for him and he would proclaim how lucky he was to have love from a woman like me.
Sometimes the man described above showed himself, but more often than not he was MIA.
Literally missing.
I should of walked away then...but I held on, hoping my best friend would one day resurface.
But instead, after nearly 10 months working through things and being there for him as he rebuildt his life after divorce, he poofed....he vanished.
And before anyone says anything-- I told him I thought he needed to date, be single, spread his wings, and if we were meant to be-- we would see once he got some rebounds out of his system. I didn't want to be a placeholder.
He claimed he would tell me when that day came. And while there were no signs he was seeing anyone, I know him-- and I'm sure he was talking to many women.
I also think he was scared of the potential future we could of had.
Either way, he never communicated to me-- never allowed me to know. Never cared enough to share the hard truths.
He was the loving man I knew, planning to see me and arrange plans for the following week, confessing his love for me....and then he was gone.
Now, one month later-- as I rebuild myself and try to love myself, I wonder if I'll ever go down this road again, and by that I mean-- trust a man's words of love. Allow myself to love another man like I thought I loved him.
Idk, it's still so early.
But I do know I will keep working on the goals and aspirations I lost sight of while he pushed and pulled me away this past year.
I'm proud to say, I've got exciting things in the works-- lifetime bucket goals of overseas trips on the horizon, new job opportunities ahead, more courses I'm taking to further my career, and pAps that are eager to be with me and spend time with me.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but also I'll admit-- very much broken and hurt, too.
No real reason in posting but feels good to write it out, too.

Finally got a hold if FSO who told me on 5/15 it had been sent to investigators on 5/11 and if anything was needed the FSO would let me know within a couple of days. Eqip submitted to FSO by me on 4/18.
Last week FSO confirmed nothing needed on their end and to get a hold of staffing specialist who has ghosted me since TJO on 3/24.
Would I have heard of denial by now, or not necessarily?

I dream of one day having a good close friend that I play video games with everyday. I've slowly lost all my gaming friends through the years and I seriously miss it. I don't really know how to go about finding a friend to play with. I've tried playing with random people in Last Epoch, for example, but it's just not working out. I don't want to play some random game that is boring alone, like, say, New World, just to look for a friend. It sounds a bit much.
So I'm looking for people here, though it doesn't seem to be working that well either. People keep ghosting me with no explanation why. But who knows, maybe one day the perfect person will come along and read this. And it only takes one person, right?
Gaming alone is not nearly as fun. I don't really care what game we play, as long as we're having fun. That said, here's some games I like:
I just got Age of Wonders 4 and have been playing it a lot in my free time. I have never played an AoW game before.
Just before that, I had gotten back into Last Epoch, with the 0.9 patch that just released, and now multiplayer is a thing! I mostly played my offline necromancer by myself, but let's make new toons together and play together!
I also like Old World some, but have never played it with another person. Maybe we could, if you want?
Aside from that, I used to play Hearthstone a lot. It used to be my favorite game ever but it sucks recently. All it ever does it get worse. But would not be opposed to playing arena with someone, we watch and help each other like a 2 player co-op game. I'm pretty good at arena. We could also play Battlegrounds.
Would also like to find someone to play Slay the Spire with too where we watch each other. I'm not sure about the co-op mod as I hear it sucks, but maybe. I've played it a lot and have beat Ascension 20 and then some with the Silent, been getting into the Defect some but don't play the other 2 classes at all. Would love to have someone to play this game with or show them the ropes.
And I play some other obscure titles like Thea 2. Would be nice to find somebody to play that with.
I would really love to find someone to introduce a new game to me in a genre I like. TCG, MMO, ARPG mainly. Really, I'm just looking for a friend to play with that is fun and we get along. That's all that really matters. Sucks playing alone every night.
MMORPG's I have played and enjoyed include Elder Scrolls Online, ArcheAge, Bless Unleashed, New World, and Wakfu. I have also tried out FFXIV, WoW, GW2, Lost Ark, and BDO, but never really got into any of these. If you know of any other good MMO's, let me know and maybe we can play it together. Though I could definitely have fun playing one of those MMO's I've played before if I was playing with the right person.
ARPG's I have played and liked in the past include Path of Exile, Last Epoch, Diablo 3, Undecember, and Grim Dawn. I think I might be permanently done with playing PoE alone, but would like to try playing it with someone else, especially someone knew who I could teach everything to. Diablo 4 looks lame.

• I said I’d rather send info directly than plug my info into a database. He told me it’s a mandatory requirement from the landlord
• I registered. They asked for my name, phone number, email, credit card, drivers license front, drivers license back, home address, a selfie, and a description of myself.
• 4 days later he suggested I change my reservation to something crappier. It’s listed at half the price but with a swap, it’s a 200% markup. (no financial compensation for me). I declined.
• host then said he needs the guests to register. That my stay isn’t confirmed until he receives registration
• I asked, if it’s not confirmed, can he please cancel they stay? This process has been a mess. I’ve now been ghosted for several days

This listing is non-refundable but google tells me that if a host cancels then I'm eligable for a refund. I've asked him to cancel, getting ghosted, but this feels like the goal post keeps changing. And I don't trust this guy.
AirBnB seems to favor hosts over guests- can I back out of this or do I need to take the L?

I've never built a PC. I went to try when everything was hard to find and ended up going with a Micro Center pre-built. I had been considering upgrading for a while from my RX 5500 and I saw the Asus Dual 6750 XT on sale. It was listed as $700. And then they had a new open box so I kinda made an impulse buy.
I don't see a lot of mention of these GPUs. I ended up getting it for $315 plus tax. I then went on to build around it with a r5 5600x and ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 I got for another $215.
I wanted a Series X so bad. I've always been an Xbox gamer. I haven't turned it on in a long time. Is my PC now good enough to just move into PC gaming? I'm not even into the AAA titles. I do however like hooking my Quest 2 to the PC and playing games like Into The Radius and Ghosts of Tabor. It's been handling those well.
I use remote play on my TV to play with my controller. No issues. But I am really looking forward to Starfield. This being my first foray into PC building.. I can see it's kind of addicting. My budget allows me to upgrade every now and then but I'm wondering how long I'll get good performance out of a PC like this (if I'm even at that point)

I had 4 interviews for a role at an apparel company. I was ghosted after that for 4 weeks. I have years of experience and all the education and experience that one would need for the role.
I was randomly contacted and told that they hired someone else and that they really liked me and wanted to see if I would be interested in a more junior role. I need a job, so I reluctantly confirmed an openness to explore the opportunity.
I show up to this interview and all it is is the male that they hired asking me for ideas about a female apparel product. No job and no job offer. I feel so extremely used. I am female in a tech role and I do feel discriminated against.
