So I started wakix and holy cow it sucks for me. Backstory I have always been very medication sensitive and my new sleep doctor was pushing hard for me to get on this. To quote her "OH this is perfect for someone with your condition (narcolepsy with cataplexy). It's not a stimulant and I believe that we should try this."
Me: ok I looked into it and it says that it would mess with my allergy medication. I am not sure that that would be good because I get migraines from allergies. Also I am very sensitive to medications what are the side effects?
Doctor: possible side effects insomnia, nausea, anxiety, headaches, upper respiratory tract infections, musculoskeletal pain, heart rate increase, and/or decreased appetite. Oh and it may make your allergy medication not as effective.
But let's try this out and see how it works.
Me: ok I will give it a shot.
*receives wakix *
Day 1 : ok not bad it seems fine (took only wakix) * no bad side effects just noticed that I got a headache and my skin was a little uncomfortable ( talking to self : hey maybe this won't be bad and I will feel better)
Day 2: (optimistic) ok let's try it with the adderall [takes wakix and 15 ir adderall and 30 xr adderall] * feels a little bit better, now i have focus/ a little energy, and I noticed that my adderall lasted longer but headache turns into migraines that won't go away, skin seems sensitive to touch and my bones and ligaments hurts, and i noticed a spike in my anxiety. ( thinking to self: hmm maybe I should contact my doctor and I leave a message for my doctor)
Day 3: doctor still hasn't got back to me so I try again and finally someone contacts back to say we will have an answer for you within 24 to 48 hours.... [I take my medication with the adderall ] one hour later migraines return and now it's like someone is talking a baseball bat to my head, my bones, joints, and ligaments start to hurt, my blood feels like its moving fast and there are balls or clots running through my muscles and my skin feels like some took a cheese grater to every inch of my body, and anxiety returns but thats at least managable. Another hour goes by and my toddler is wanting to go out so we hop into the car and I go not even 2 miles away. I start to feel a little disoriented ( I'm still driving) and I slow down and I see that we are almost there. I pull into the parking lot and bam I get disoriented, confused and I can't remember how to drive, park, slow down, and I can barely move. I end up circling the parking lot and thankfully I don't hit anything some how my leg hits the brakes and I can park. At this point I start to panic because I got lucky and I hop out the car and get one foot out before the car start to roll. I jump back in hit the brake and pull the lever to park. I start to breathe hard and think ok crap I'm having a panic attack. My toddler is going mommy, mommy, where are you. I'm standing outside the car next to the driver door which is still is open and I say I'm here hold on mommy needs a second. My panic attack easies and the disoriented feeling starts to fade, I remember now where I am, and my confusion starts to go away. [ I am scared shitless now] I grab my toddler out the back and just hold her for a min because I could have killed us. That's why I wait a few days on a new medication because I don't want anything bad to happen that might be something I can't control.
Later that night I get in contact with wakix and they go ok we will pass this on to the pharmaceutical makers and I will let you get in contact with your specialty pharmacy.
Pharmacist : these are all side effects of wakix
Me : I know about the musculoskeletal pain, the migraine, and the anxiety. But are you saying the confusion and disorientation to the extent that i forgot where i was at, where i am going, how to drive, and function is due the wakix and not my anxiety?
Pharmacist : yes it is a side effect
I am literally blown away by this because I was sooo sure it was my anxiety stressing me out like that. It's not listed anywhere that I can find that wakix can cause disorientation and confusion.
This has been a total WTF moment because I know what my stressor are for my cataplexy and narcolepsy to trigger.< Driving and stress>
Sorry for the extremely long rant and I'm totally cool with yall nodding off in the middle of it. It took me multiple tries to do this.
Has anyone had a similar experience with wakix ?

Fortnite is a popular first person shooter… such like call of duty, call of duty is the worlds most popular first person shooter similar to Fortnite or halo, halo is the 2nd most popular first person shooter created by Bungie and Microsoft enterprises, Microsoft is a very popular company best know for windows or Xbox the close competitor of PlayStation, PlayStation is the worlds most popular game system founded by Sony, Sony is most known for their remarkable tvs close competitor of Roku, Roku is currently going bankrupt and Roku is close competitors to Viacom who is best known for owning nick and nick is best known for SpongeBob SquarePants which is close competitors with the Patrick star show, anyways back to the story… I sat on my bed contemplating my life choices like any 14 year old until I heard somebody knocking at the door, assuming it was my mom I went upstairs to answer it, I was greeted by the pizza delivery man saying he delivered a pizza to me, however I did not order a pizza.. the pizza delivery man handed me the pizza but I had to say “I DID NOT ORDER NO GOSH DARN PIZZA” I screamed and I slammed the door, I was happy I got a free hot and ready little ceasers pizza. Little ceasers enterprises is a popular pizzeria chain and is a close competitor to dominos. Not to be confused with the popular object also called dominos, the popular object dominos is a game that can cause a chain reaction of other dominos falling to the ground… anyways back to the story, I was there sitting in my bed eating my new hot and ready little ceasers pizza. I was there wondering, who ordered the pizza. And then I find the receipt INSIDE ONE OF THE PIZZA SLICES.. apparently someone named John Roblox ordered the pizza according to the receipt. Now, I quickly find his phone number online. Somehow it was really easy to find. I called him and he said he was my dad!! Adrenaline rushed through my veins as i heard this. And before I can say anything he says to check under my moms pillow then hangs up. I checked and it was a note from my moms friends that reads “you’re next” and there was also a Robux gift card, and then that’s when I realized John Roblox was my sister, but I didn’t care I had an 1000 Robux gift card, but then I realized It had already BEEN USED!!! And then the room filled with a mysterious gas. I then died on the spot, I am now 12 years old and lived to tell the tale.

Female, 24 . About a month ago a lump came up on my thigh that my dr said felt like a lymph node. It was super sore and made my leg ache for about a week, she said to apply wet damp compress, I did and nothing has changed. It is slightly less sore but still sore and there. Now I've found 2 more painless lumps about an inch away from the original. She wants me to wait until my appointment on the 21 to talk about them again. She said something about a possible ultrasound. I haven't had any recent colds, infections, cuts or scrapes. Of course I've scared myself on google and seen lymphoma as a possible reason. Only symptom l've had so far is itching. I had blood work done about 2 months ago with my WBC being 10.59 and leukocytes high at 3.73, I have the rest of my blood work if that would help I can comment it. Does anyone know why else this could be happening?or what the lumps could be ? Thanks in advance

The only part i remember from it is that you go up a mountain or somewhere out in nature and at a certain point you and the people you are with make a campfire and everyone falls asleep. When you wake up al your friends/the people are dead and there are bones everywhere.
It was a 3D game and i think it was some sort of fantasy game.

20M, Overweight, Been having this stinging pain in my thigh that’s been driving me nuts it’s not horribly painful. It’s just constant. It goes up and down my thigh sometimes, it feels a bit deep. It definitely feels like a nerve, but I don’t know I’m on the lookout because my cousin died last year from deep vein thrombosis in his leg, that traveled up to his lung and killed him, it’s not red or swollen.

My pain is generally radiating from my sacrum. PT’s in the past have said I need to work on my core strength to lessen this. But…working out when I’m a 7-9/10 on a pain scale feels practically impossible. I use NSAIDS as sparingly as possible, but often I can’t go without them. I do take breaks as to not damage my stomach. I self medicate with CBD. I use a TENS unit, but it can’t help my lower back pain much.
My pain is interfering with my social life, work life and overall happiness. It’s adding more stress to me when I’m already overwhelmed.
Dr’s have said there’s nothing “actually” wrong with my bones, PT says it’s likely a muscular issue. Experts online say the centralized sacrum pain is common in folks who feel out of place socially. Dr’s have offered to refer me to get lidocaine injections or dry needling, but I’ve heard dry needling hurts like HELL. Does anyone have experience with anything like this? What’s helpful?

I was t-boned on my motorcycle in October and my leg and foot got squished. Luckily I didn't lose my leg or foot but even gently driving my car with a stick can be painful. Trying to use my foot gently while racing doesn't work so it looks like my days are over. I'm so glad I had a chance to run some of the tracks I've dreamed of in some amazing cars. It helped me understand different tracks and the challenges drivers face and made me a better driver in RL. Ingredients
4 large chicken breasts
4 tablespoons olive oil divided
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
For the Filling:
2 cups chopped broccoli smaller pieces
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 ounces cream cheese softened
1 clove garlic minced
Dash of salt and pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika in a small dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts. Rub the seasoning mixture on the chicken and coat entirely.
Combine the filling ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
Cut out a wide pocket in each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Stuff each chicken breast with the filling.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once heated, sear the stuffed chicken breasts on each side, but don’t cook through. You may need to do this in two batches depending on the size of your chicken breasts. Place all 4 breasts in the skillet and transfer the skillet to the oven.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until the chicken breasts are cooked through.

Combine the salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika in a small dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts. Rub the seasoning mixture on the chicken and coat entirely.
Combine the filling ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
Cut out a wide pocket in each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Stuff each chicken breast with the filling.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once heated, sear the stuffed chicken breasts on each side, but don’t cook through. You may need to do this in two batches depending on the size of your chicken breasts. Place all 4 breasts in the skillet and transfer the skillet to the oven.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until the chicken breasts are cooked through.

New here and apologies in advance for the essay… I think I may have a love addiction. It looks a little different from most of the posts/stories I’ve been reading on here.
In short:
- As a kid, I got addicted to the feeling that playing with myself gave me, and used to spend a lot of time doing it - I was super shy and awkward around girls, but I realised I could think/fantasise about girls and feel good - Then as a teenager, I got into MSN Messenger and talking to girls on there; I’d pretend to be someone else (different name/picture), trying to connect with girls and have sexual conversations with them whilst they were on webcam - This led to many years (on and off) of sexting and trying to have romantic/sexual conversations with girls; from the safety of behind the screen - I’ve dated but not had girlfriends/sexual experiences in person; I’ll be super confident over texting but shy in person, and never move things forward. It’s like I’ll switch between being super keen (over message) but then super shy/distant in real life. - Now and then I’ll do random things like reach out to women (often oldeemotionally unavailable) I’ve not spoken to in ages, and ask if they’d like to catch up. Then regret doing so / hope they’ll say no, or otherwise meet up with them, be friendly and that’s it. At other times I’ve been on dating apps and tried to purposely match with older women; it’s like I’m seeking the thrill of the chase, but then chicken out of meeting up IRL
My mum is quite anxious/overwhelming, and my dad is very distant and unpredictable (he went more than 15 years without hugging me).
Do you think this amounts to love addiction?
