I just got disconnected from customer support who was helping me with an arrangement plan for my suspended service so I can get it turned back on and make payments on the balance of $1430. I had so much hope and then I was transferred to the wrong phone number. All I had to do was say yes and confirm the arrangement that was made for me. I am so upset 😭 I applied for jobs and they can’t call me back if I don’t have my phone turned on. What am I going to do. I’ve been a customer for years and the amount of back and forth with fixing my bill, getting billed the correct amount and so forth has been SO stressful. I can’t with the customer service like anymore. It is so discouraging. What if I am not given the same arrangement plan…now I’m stressed out all over again. I had so much hope with getting my service back on and setting up payment plans and it was just taken from me. ok i think this is a unique situation because i know in general nothing would happen, but this is diff
my friend tweaked out on too many shrooms from the plug, and long story short my other friends parents drove him home and he ended up in the hospital after having a psychotic break. what’s crazy is we’re both only like 15 and no one in our friend group has ever had a bad experience because i feel like we’re generally careful, but i think he was going through his own stuff or something. but anyways, they found the plugs phone number on his phone and are going to turn it into the police because we’re underage and everything.
i would assume nothing would happen, but the plug says creepy shit to me all the time for the past week or two, (he’s 22m and i’m 15f) and i’m afraid that the police would take his phone to see how many people he sold to, and they’ll see the texts to me amd they’ll tell my parents. i’ve been trying my best to avoid him when he talks like that, and i’ve been ignoring him more but he keeps saying stuff like how pretty i am and how he misses me and even more wierd stuff i won’t get into but i know if my parents saw me putting up with that they would be so mad.
anyway the point is will i be in trouble

North (owned by AMP) seems to not be able to pay out to my 92yo parents. 6 weeks after lodging the appropriate form to release the pension funds and despite numerous phone calls and identification checks they still seem unable to release the funds. Have been told to wait 7 to 10 business days on a number of occasions and still waiting. Very unhelpful support staff who are unable to make the withdrawal happen, or find someone who can escalate. Are there liquidity issues or is this just a case of incompetence?

My phone screen glitched out so hard that I couldn't see anything other than a blinding green screen and I was forced to take it in to get it fixed and I can't get it back until tomorrow. I'm trying to do my homework but unfortunately for me I cannot access duo push since for some reason I can't get any new texts on my computer even though I'm connected through iCloud. I tried to reset the phone number for Duo BUT I NEED MY OLD FUCKING NUMBER TO VERIFY ITS ME. HOW TF DOES THAT EVEN WORK?! IF I JUST SAID I HAD A NEW NUMBER WHY WOULD YOU FUCKING ASK ME TO VERIFY USING MY OLD NUMBER YOU STUPID FUCKING PROGRAM. And I can't use my touchID on chrome since it says there's no passkeys whatever that means. I fucking hate Duo push now I can't do my homework thanks a bunch!!! Even if I had the foresight to login with duo before I turned it in to get fixed nothing would have changed since my phone screen was totally busted. And the IT line is closed so there's literally nothing I can do but wait until 9 am tomorrow I'm fucking done with this school.

I was at uni scheduled for thermal imageing, back in Nov. i was escorted their naturally and i believe i went upstairs to check in........I dont know it was like ppl were waiting for me to run for some reason.......but i checked in and it was like a 20 min wait......dudes just kinda walked off for restroom or snacks left me by my lonesome.......I literally had been trying to make a phone call for like 3 weeks. i mean i quarentined for covid for 2 no phone calls.........it was my 3 time at that hospital , and i had saw a black phone down the north hallway on the right i believe........anyway it was like 9 to get out then make the call.......finally got to the phone and i couldnt remember anyones number to call.....like didnt have one.......hung up went back to imaging and had the appt. when we left to exit the building on the main floor that phone was on the other side of the hall and outside waiting for the bus...........clean cut dude with a trench coat asked if we were heading south. i said jump on tracks is right there hes like without a ticket im like yeah jump on that shit and fly i mean obviously its a emergency. he asked directions to Orem and peaced out.

I want to start getting a physical copy of a newspaper delivered to my front door either every Sunday or daily, I’m still trying to decide. However, I live in an apartment building in a downtown city that doesn’t allow any public access on the weekends. You have to have a key fob to get into the building. The front lobby door does have a number code lock on it, but it is honestly always broken. I don’t want the delivery person to just drop my paper off outside in front of the building because there is a 99.9% chance it will be stolen. I also live on the 6th floor of my building which is the very top floor and I have had a lot of experiences with delivery drivers who don’t want to use an elevator and just leave my packages or food items inside or outside the lobby instead of bringing it directly up to my front door. Any ideas on what I should do? I’m not a huge phone or social media person, so getting a newspaper app does not really appeal to me. Any other suggestions would be great, thanks so much!

Big online (place to stay) booking site. One where people rent out their apartments and rooms and houses. Yeah that big one. Long story short. Google searched said site and looked up accommodations. Booked them through my phone number (they never asked me for any other Info just a multi factor identify that was sent to my phone number. Only problem is my phone number is linked to a different name and account ( person who e had this number but 8 Yeats ago) well after confirming the reservation I wanted to look at pictures mod the place again only to realize under the trip info it was someone other than me in the thumbnail and lo an behold this was not my account but someones account who also has many connections with the debt collectors that still call this number looking for Matt 8 years later. Anyways my credit card info is now tied to this account which I am not able to remove because the credit card is associated with a recent rental. Oh and I am not able to cancel via phone call either because despite what the customer service agent says I am not the user of the account only the credit card holder. Obviously I cancelled my card but this can't be right. Right?

Whatsapp is asking me to verify my account by providing my phone number, but when I enter my number, it says that it can’t send a verification code to my number. I reached out to Whatsapp support via email regarding this issue and they got back to me with what looks like an automated message. I wanted to know if any of you had any experience with the Whatsapp team, do you think I will get any actual help from them?

I’ve searched through posts but haven’t found anything about this so I figured I’d ask.
My Facebook account was hacked a week and a half ago. Like so many others here, the hacker removed my email and phone number from the account. Facebook sent me an email to notify me and I clicked on “this wasn’t me” but I got an invalid link message. I’ve tried everything through Facebooks help center including uploading my ID multiple times with no success. The hackers are spamming my account and friends with crypto nonsense. They’ve blocked my husband and some of my close friends. Lots of my friends have reported the account as hacked or posts as spam with no success. I even created a secondary account with a new email and tried to recover it that way with again, no success. They also tried to hack my email twice, hack my Instagram, and they hacked my Zelle account through my bank and stole $200. Total nightmare. I wish I didn’t care so much about this but I’ve had my account for 16 years and just had my first baby 3 weeks ago. I hate that I’m missing out on connecting with friends and family during such an important time.
All that being said, I do have access to my Instagram account with 2 factor auth. I saw that Meta Verified is now an option for $14.99 a month and I read that it includes some customer support. Does anyone know more about this? Would becoming meta verified through instagram give me resources through facebook to recover my account with an actual person. I’d love to hear if anyone has tried this. I’d be willing to try it myself and report back.

New to this subreddit … not even sure if that’s what it’s called. I’m an elder millennial and it takes me a minute 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m asking because my girlfriend of four years broke up with me ~days~ before the four year mark. Due to a number of factors, we were in a LDR. Nothing I considered ‘close’ but a bit over 2 hours so wasn’t a big deal to me to go see her. And I’m having a petty betty moment— I can count on one hand the amount of times she reciprocated and came to see me. Ok, back on track— she did this all over text. I’m a person that responds well to logic and the outline of reasons for the breakup were very logical. Obviously I was quite torn up about it.
She began to blow up my phone to the point where I actually blocked her on all socials and so I thought it was done. Nope… unbeknownst to me, she had begun texting my son’s father (ex-husband) with the intent of communicating with me somehow. It has escalated quite terribly over the few months, but I’m a big believer in therapy (just my process, you do you!) and so I’ve had an outlet for things and there would’ve been a very, very different reaction 10 years ago, even 5 years ago. However, my ex-husband showed me a text thread where they’d been communicating and his sign was fairly benign (except for a few nearly unforgivable text exchanges but that’s neither here nor there— but I can elaborate if y’all wanna know). She was texting him multiple times a day (and yes, I’m tired of parentheses too, but I blame my ADHD and inability to prevent a mild tangent— I was angry with him as well because like… why are y’all even talking? Y’all couldn’t stand each other) and I came across a text about the breakup. In it, it was absolutely nothing related to the reasons she gave me.
Now to the reason for the title I chose. She was mad about gas. More specifically, gas money. She makes easily 3x what I make and when gas prices were super high, I asked if could chip in some gas money because I couldn’t pay for the gas every weekend with the way things were. She did, but dang, she let you know it! I just stood there, in complete disbelief. I had driven there so often and at times, my account was in the negative from the trips.
But gas money when your bills aren’t excessive and you make 3x as much as me and I’m the one driving and the wear and tear on my car? That had to be the pettiest or most ridiculous reason someone gave as part of their reason for the end of one of my relationships!
So, will some of y’all share a breakup that occurred for a ridiculous or wild reason so I don’t feel like a moron for wasting four years?
