2023.06.10 23:56 UnfairAcanthisitta23 (21M) It’s pretty much my birthday, should I be on here?
It’s not actually my birthday, that’s in two days. Im bored as hell, currently, so I’m here to pass the time. I think it would be kinda sad if I was on Reddit during my birthday, but a lot of things about me could be seen as kinda sad already lmao.
I tend to get along with weirdos, but not people who are too weird. I’ve talked to many people on here who made me question making an account. I even talked to someone here who wanted to become a FUNCTIONING car. Hopefully none of you manage to top that. (No, this is not an invitation to do so, but I’d be really morbidly curious if you did.)
Im Mexican, I’m Bi, I’m a Gemini (i don’t know shit about zodiac), my MBTI is ENFJ. I’m from Minnesota.
I love music, especially rap, rock, and R&B. I’ve been writing my own music lately, hopefully get something going soon. I’m a creative kinda person even if I draw terribly.
I game like nearly everyone on here, been mainly playing the new Zelda. I love journaling, actually do it publicly on my main Reddit account. Been trying to read more lately. I love film and TV (Watching Veep, last watched The Righteous Gemstones). There’s more things, but I’m tryna wrap this up so you don’t sleep from this drawn out post. Plus if you’d really like to know then could you know send me a message :)
I’m here since I don’t really have anything l better to do, kinda sad lol. Please be around my age. And please provide a mini intro, I appreciate it. Feel free to check out my journal or my more in-depth introduction in my profile.
Have a good night, day, morning, whatever! If you made it to the end, congrats, you get a redeemable voucher to Disneyland, but it expires in half an hour, sorry.

2023.06.10 23:56 Martspec Davenport Campground 9 - San Isabel National Forest - Dear walking next to tent sandbox
https://reddit.com/link/146cbyk/video/r5e40av6i95b1/player Davenport Campground is a unique tent-only facility consisting of 12 tent-only sites. We made a reservation online. The road to the campgrounds is narrow, and driving might be challenging.
The rangers were friendly. visited morning and evening. Some people try to use the campground without reservation pretending to be someone else. I guess probably some of them visit Bishop castle and then want to stay overnight somewhere nearby...
There is a trail to hike, from what we read it should be excellent. However, we did not have time to walk it because we stayed only one night.
You might want to bring firewood with you as it gets pretty cool. at night even in mid-July (that is when we visited it)
Some campgrounds have a water pump. The water is very good there.
Hope you find the video helpful as you choose a campground or place to spend time away from cities and all that noise. Please like the video as it helps to make it available to more campers.

2023.06.10 23:55 zliperz [25/M] Let me see your halo
Hello, welcome, dear visitor!
Right now, you're reading the words of a 25-year-old Brazilian guy, and to be honest, I'm possibly one of the most eclectic guys you can meet. You know that person who's interested in so many different things that you just feel like you could talk for hours and hours and never get bored? Well, I hope to be that person for you.
I work remotely in an online education business, my hours are flexible, which allows me to enjoy geographical freedom, so I want to take this opportunity to adopt digital nomadism, even if it's just for a year or two, it's an experience I need to live.
Studying history and culture from other countries is something that fascinates me, I mean, I'm even interested in the smallest details of everyday life. That means I research about people's experiences living in those countries, the cultural differences they feel between cities, how laws work, what entertainment options are available, which local bands are successful in that region, what language-related difficulties they face, how social life is in general, what the food is like, etc. For instance, I also love watching movies and series set in other countries, and there are YouTube channels where a guy with a camera walks through various cities around the world, just filming, like a "virtual tour," I think it's awesome. I need to travel and see all these things with my own eyes. I want to feel the world, discover new flavors, appreciate new melodies, acquire new accents... I want to live.
I'm writing this ad for two reasons:
First: As mentioned in the previous paragraph, I'm very interested in life in other countries, in the broadest way you can imagine. So being able to talk to people who were born in other parts of the world, often with a completely different background from mine, would be special, don't you think? I believe we can share experiences and learn a lot from each other. We can learn from our differences, we can be surprised by our similarities, we can laugh together at various memes and dumb jokes. We can share playlists.
Second: I really want to expand my social circle, I'm open to new friendships in my life, that add value and stay long term! That would be perfect. However, I have to be transparent with you about the type of person I'm looking for, here are the requirements:
. You are truly open and receptive to a new friendship.
. You feel comfortable with long messages. You're quite talkative.
. You believe we have things in common (the more, the better) and we can get along well.
. The more optimistic and self-confident you are, the better.
. I'm open to meeting people from any continent, country, city, even Brazilians.
. I'm open to people of all ages (as long as you're an adult).
Music: I listen to pretty much everything: Rock (progressive, punk, new wave, grunge, classic, indie, emo, etc), POP, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Reggae, Tango, Classical Music, Bossa Nova, Country, Metal, Soul, etc. Old and new songs, no problem at all. I've created more than 40 playlists on my Spotify, and each one is in a different language. Discovering new artists is something I do almost daily. Consequently, I also enjoy watching people dance, and my favorite styles are Tango, Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Waltz, and Urban Dance. I really love watching choreography videos. If you want to see my playlists on Spotify, here's the link:
https://www.reddit.com/usezliperz/comments/12uuotg/my_playlists/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button You'll find playlists in Italian 🇮🇹, French 🇫🇷, Spanish 🇪🇸, English 🇬🇧, Portuguese 🇵🇹, Japanese 🇯🇵, Korean 🇰🇷, Arabic 🇦🇪, Hebrew 🇮🇱, Hindi 🇮🇳, Turkish 🇹🇷, Indonesian 🇮🇩, Azerbaijani 🇦🇿, Finnish 🇫🇮, Hungarian 🇭🇺, Slovenian 🇸🇮, Romanian 🇷🇴, Czech 🇨🇿, German 🇩🇪, Greek 🇬🇷, Polish 🇵🇱, Chinese 🇨🇳 (Mandarin, Cantonese), Russian 🇷🇺, Ukrainian 🇺🇦, Dutch 🇳🇱, Filipino 🇵🇭, Swedish 🇸🇪, Catalan 🇦🇩, Kabyle 🇩🇿, Danish 🇩🇰, Bengali 🇧🇩, Georgian 🇬🇪, Latin 🇻🇦, Malayalam 🇮🇳, Luganda 🇺🇬, Persian 🇮🇷, Neapolitan 🇮🇹, Norwegian 🇳🇴, Vietnamese 🇻🇳, Telugu 🇮🇳, Uzbek 🇺🇿, Swahili 🇰🇪.
The "Sodamania" playlist is my favorite band's playlist, Soda Stereo from Argentina 🇦🇷.
Movies: Believe it or not, I watch movies of any genre, from horror (Us, Hostel, SAW) to children's animations (Chicken Little, Over the Hedge, Tangled), as long as the experience is good, that's what matters. My official favorite movies are: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Once, Blue Jay, Bridge to Terabithia, Finding Neverland. There are other movies that could make this list because I love them too: La Vita È Bella, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, It's a Wonderful Life, Shutter Island, Jab We Met, Arrival, Eternals... There are many other movies that I really enjoyed watching, like Logan, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Tree of Life, Song to Song, Catch Me If You Can, Forrest Gump, Grease, Medianeras, etc. And yes, I'm excited to watch Barbie in the cinema. I like classics like Rocky, Rambo, but there are many other classics that I haven't watched yet, you'd be surprised if you knew. The actress I like the most is Audrey Hepburn, for everything she represented, for her elegance on and off the screen, super authentic and admirable. When it comes to TV series, I also like several (Suits is one of my favorites), however, in recent years, I've been giving a lot of preference to Korean dramas. I used to really enjoy a Japanese reality show called Terrace House, but it got canceled. Honorable mention goes to Bnei Aruba, a great Israeli series.
Sports: I root for a Brazilian soccer team called Grêmio. I love watching Olympic games (including Winter Olympics). I like watching F1 races (rooting for Leclerc), Tennis matches. I'm getting closer and closer to the major American leagues, and I'm strongly sympathizing with the Boston Celtics, in the other leagues, I still don't have a defined team. When I was a kid, I played soccer and practiced swimming. In the future, I want to play tennis, and it would also be cool to practice martial arts (kung fu, karate, and taekwondo).
Languages: Portuguese 🇧🇷 is my native language, but I can handle English 🇬🇧 and Spanish 🇪🇸 pretty well too. I've studied a bit (basic) of Italian 🇮🇹, French 🇫🇷, German 🇩🇪, and Norwegian 🇳🇴. Right now, I'm studying the Arabic alphabet 🇦🇪 and taking my first steps in Korean 🇰🇷, Japanese 🇯🇵, Hebrew 🇮🇱, and Croatian 🇭🇷.
Religion: I'm a Noahide. A non-Jew who believes in the Torah. My theological view is similar to Orthodox Judaism, although our lifestyles are different. So if you're Jewish (or Israeli 🇮🇱), it would be great to have your company. If you're Muslim, know that I'd love to meet you too. I want to visit several Muslim countries, including each of the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪, Morocco 🇲🇦, Turkey 🇹🇷 (especially Izmir), Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Egypt 🇪🇬, Jordan 🇯🇴, Qatar 🇶🇦, etc. If you're Hindu 🇮🇳 or any other religion, feel welcome too. My family is Christian, so I have no problem talking to Christians either.
Politics: I'll only talk about the economic issue: I believe in the free market, I love the Austrian School, and I identify with Mises' thinking. That's it.
Look, I'm a guy who loves to laugh. I like to have fun. I like to have deep conversations and also silly conversations. I like to talk about Greek mythology, architecture, technology, and also like to talk about fashion, cooking, animals, etc. I'm ambiverted, I hate lies, my zodiac sign is Gemini (not that it matters), I need to fight procrastination every day. I walk fast on the street, and it bothers me when people are walking slowly in front of me. I’m from Belo Horizonte and I've never been to Rio de Janeiro. I have a diary. I want to leave photographic records for future generations. I hate bothering people. But you know what? I'm a great listener, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and hearing your stories! We can be great friends... I know that most of the time things don't work out here the way we'd like them to, but so what? We're here now, and we have the chance to do things differently, right?! So come on, let's start something beautiful!
If you've read this far and identified with my words, send me your best message, and I'll make it worth it!
P.S: if you're too shy:

2023.06.10 23:52 Spiritual_Past1294 Second time taking magic truffles, 15g, had full blown anxiety and paranoia for the whole trip
Hey guys,
For background: I'm a naturally quite anxious guy, but can handle it quite good when sober and made huge progress with therapeutic work. I stopped smoking weed because of the anxiety/paranoia it brings me. I already tried magic truffles like two years ago, when they started hitting (come up), i felt anxiety/paranoia, but then started feeling euphoric and tripping hard for like 2 3 hours.
Now this second time i did them, i gotta admit i was in a quite bad "set". Long work day, long week with a lot of confusing emotions, was having huge responsibilities the next morning, etc... As soon as truffles started hitting, i started ruminating about the whole day, what i said to my colleagues, all the jokes i made, how they could be used against me, etc. I started seeing everything negatively, even my relationships with my close family. Felt like everyone was plotting on doing something bad to me.
I tried doing the stuff i do sober to bear with my anxiety, which is essentially to not even try fighting it and just accepting it. But with the trip it was just a whole lot of anxiety right into my face, it was unbearable, felt 50x worse than anxiety i feel sober.
At some point the anxiety was too much, i called the only person i trust, opened up a beer, and it was the best call i ever had in my life, the person first started by reminding me of what day we were at, what hour. Just this information gave me a huge relief and allowed me to come back to something more neutral, i felt way calmer. Then we started talking about determinism and freewill for like 2 hours straight. It made me laugh because that person didn't really need shrooms to be on the same level of discussion as me.
Question 1: I guess next time i'm going to trip i should wait for a perfect "set" ? Or should i expect magic truffles to always bring anxiety to me? Same as weed do? Question 2: I took 15g of magic truffles all at once. Is it too much and can it be anxiety trigerring?Question 3: Also, i see a lot of people advising to do truffles/shrooms alone. I feel like for my case it is anxiety trigerring. Having a person i trust around helps me calm down and is reassuring.

https://reddit.com/link/146c7td/video/vgmkbiiqh95b1/player Davenport Campground is a unique tent-only facility consisting of 12 tent-only sites.

2023.06.10 23:51 TheExecutionerIsHere Killer concept
Killer - Poison Master
Poison Master can poison his victims with 3 types of poison
Type 1: survivors vision range is considerably decreased. Poisoned survivor cannot see aura of other survivors.
Type 2: survivors will make considerably louder grunts of pain, periodicaly vomit and leave much more visible green scratch marks behind them
Type 3: survivor hears killers terror radius all the time and sees flashes and marks on screen
Survivor can use antidote to get rid of the poisoned state at the injection station. Survivor who uses injection station will suffer from shock and will suffer from intoxication for 20 seconds. Killer will be notified of their location by killer instinct.
Survivor who is poisoned is infectious only if injured. Person who heals poisoned survivor for at least 50% will become poisoned as well
Special abbility: imbue Poison Master can imbue his weapon with one of 3 poisons. This action takes 2.5 seconds. When hitting a survivor will be poisoned and Poison Masters weapon will become unimbued once again.
Special abbility: inject Poison Master can inject downed survivor with one of 3 poisons. This action takes 3 seconds.
Survivor can be poisoned with two poisons at a time.
Perks: Perk 1: hitting an uninjured survivor will cause nearby windows to block for 5 seconds.
Perk 2: kicking a gen makes a gen highlighted. For next 60 seconds any good skill check will make a gen loose progress silently. Great skill check deactivates this perk (not permanently) and reveals survivor aura for 5 seconds. This perk makes skill checks more frequent on a highlighted gen. Cooldown: 30 secs
Perk 3: Hex. finishing a generator will create hex totem out of dull one. For each totem gen repair speed is reduced by 4%. For 5 active totems survivors wont see aura of exit gates and hatch wont spawn.

2023.06.10 23:51 suprisepopsicle Feeling like I’m not good enough and don’t know why people treat me like this.
I’m a bisexual girl and I’m sick of feeling like I’m not good enough. I feel like I’m everybody’s second choice, or 3rd, or 4th. Everyone I’m involved with makes me feel so worthless. 1. My ex bf of 3 1/2 years looked at pictures of my sister naked. So that’s over obviously. 2. This girl and I have been hooking up for the past 5 years. Last night we had such an amazing time together. We went to a water park, held hands, kissed, called eachother babe, baby, my love. When we get back to my house we took a shower together and had sex in the shower and then in my room. In the middle of sex her mom calls her and tells her to come home. She has a very toxic relationship with her mother. And I’m trying to comfort her, and she pushes me off her and tells me to give her a second. And I see that she’s texting her ex bf “coming home” and then she calls him and is like please come pick me up and then telling him her mom said XYZ things which her mom never said as I heard the entire conversation on speaker phone. At this point I felt like trash and was like “are you seriously calling your ex boyfriend as you’re naked in my bed” and turned my back to her. She’s like I’m sorry I’m such a piece of shit I have no where else to go or anyone else to talk to. I told her that I said she could stay here as long as she needs and that I would do anything to help her and that her calling her ex bf til he answers her after we were in the middle of having sex makes me feel worthless. She literally left. And I texted her hope you get home safe and have fun fucking him. Which might have been mean but at this point I am not letting people walk all over me like this. Like what the hell. She’s doing this right in front of my face! It made me feel like this is just a game to her and like she thinks I don’t have feelings. I doubt she would have done that if she was in another guys bed. But since I’m a girl she doesn’t see the issue. 3. I hooked up with a coworker earlier this year. He made me feel like he was actually interested in me and after we had sex he basically ghosted me. Would go months with no attention and then he’d start liking my stories or responding to my posts. I was told by another coworker that he is involved with another girl at our job and I’ve worked with her once. And I’m not sure if she knows about him and i but she told me they had specifically made their schedules to where they can work together. Which is like whatever, this guy doesn’t owe me loyalty but at the same time i compare myself to this girl and I don’t even feel respected by him. For example, he hit me up to hang out a few weeks after this happened. And I said okay come over at XYZ time. I responded to him within 10 minutes. Then he never responded until the next morning and said he fell asleep. I stopped engaging with him. He makes me feel like I’m not even worth a hookup. I would never even tell a friend hey we’re gonna hang out, and then once they answer never respond. That’s insane to me. 4. I’ve been hooking up with this girl for the past year and she has a boyfriend. We hooked up twice before she told me she actually wants a threesome and I declined the offer and said I wasn’t interested. Well after she hits me up all the time, she texts me to come over and it will just be us. So we do that and then the next time I message her to meet up she tells me she wants a threesome. I feel manipulated despite our open communication about their open relationship and our feelings. I should’ve known better but she probably just slept with me by herself to make sure she didn’t lose me completely and like a lure into actually sleeping with both of them. Like it’s totally fine that’s what they want and I don’t judge them as I understand open relationships, but she didn’t tell me this until after we had sex. I feel used.
I’m seriously starting to get insecure and wonder what is wrong with me. I can’t believe people I’m involved with romantically/sexually treat me in a way I wouldn’t allow friends to treat me or ever do this to anybody. I start to say hey these things are okay because we’re not in a relationship but no I’m learning my worth especially after being blindsided by my ex bf. I’m sick of it, and I’m okay alone but I want that sexual compatibility I have with these people but they make me feel like trash. Men I’m interested in don’t even give me attention, and girls I’m interested in treat me like a piece of meat with no feelings.

2023.06.10 23:50 AdrianDaFunky I can't stand my clumsiness anymore
Clumsiest person ever?
I don't even know how to start, I just know I've been like this ever since I was born:
I am that person who will trip in the same place, the same way, every single day. Finding random bruises that I cannot explain why in my body is just normal. I hit the chairs in my house every single day, just like I hit my room's door.
I will bite my cheeks at least once a month.
I will spill my food on the table when eating, and when Im serving my plate, I WILL SPILL IT ON THE STOVE, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I will spill juice or whatever Im drinking on my shirt SPECIALLY IF ITS WHITE, at least 4x a week.
Im good at realistic drawing (really good) BUT I CANT DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE FOR MY LIFE, NOR CAN I USE A RULER OR SCISSORS PROPERLY
At least twice a year I will hit a random pillar with my car out of plain uncoordination/imprudence
I'm at med school and is just plain normal for me to do some random dumb shit like TRYING TO ANESTHETIZE a patient with a SUCTION NEEDLE
If im trying to explain something med related to a med friend, I will say something really wrong out of simply dumbness/clumsiness and gotta re explain cause I explained it wrong
Some days I just can't properly function, its like I went r********, specially if I experienced something awkward or someone made fun of me, my thoughts wont work, they go random, and I cant talk like a normal person
Finally, my diction is shit, Im not a stutter, but I gotta redo my phrases at least 2 out of 10 times cause my diction went 2yo
I stop myself from talking much cause the more I talk, the less sense I make. My thoughts won't make sense, just as my phrases and my diction will go even more bananas
I really wanted to be a surgeon, but I gave up cause I'm a coordination idiot.
Inb4: I workout 5x a day (1.73, 80kg, 12%BF), I sleep from 9Pm to 5am, Ive never flunked school nor got a bad grade in med school (4.45 GPA), but still.
Im good at working out, but sometimes I will drop the weights or BREAK MY PHONE. Just as I was a good soccer player, but I would FALL OVER NOTHING, JUST PLAIN TRIP ALONE AND FALL LIKE AN IDIOT
I'm not even going to mention my aim.......

2023.06.10 23:50 jonasBH200 When can i find a reliable wether forecast for japan?
Yes, I know, it sounds stupid, but i AM serious.
So far I have checked about 7 forecasts of the weather in Tokyo for a week ahead.
I found all these forecasts on the first sites that appeared on Google when I searched for "Tokyo weather".
The only two things I could figure out are:
- Each of the forecasts gives a completely different forecast from the other forecasts on each and every day.
- All forecasts lose their credibility and relevance completely as soon as I check them for the time frame of more than a day ahead.
It just doesn't matter if the BBC says there will be heavy rain in three days and
weather.com claims it will be partly cloudy, because in the end it turns out that the weather was just cloudy in the morning with complete clearing in the afternoon...
I tried to check on NHK's website, but in no way could I find an orderly forecast there for each day and mostly I saw all kinds of statistics and precipitation maps that didn't tell me much.
If there is anyone here who can give me a good source of weather news in Japan, I am begging you for help.
Thanks in advance

2023.06.10 23:49 zliperz 25/M/Brazil 🇧🇷 — Hey, let me see your halo...

2023.06.10 23:48 FATA987654321 29 [M4F] Miami/Anywhere - Looking for that special connection!
Hey there. I’m 29 and I am looking for that genuine and special connection. Ideally we start as friends and then it evolves into something more if we click. I would consider myself a pretty laid-back person, but I am also very ambitious, career driven, and goal-oriented. There is a lot I want to accomplish in life. I’ll list some thing about myself below:
-Musician who works in STEM. I am passionate about both fields and would ideally like to do something in both someday.
-I love good conversation. I can talk your ear off about music, but I also enjoy listening and when you can talk to me about what you’re interested in. I love learning, so talk away!
-I love pizza!
-In my spare time I enjoy playing video games. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it would be fun to play something together. I play mostly on PC but I also have an Xbox.
- Child free and don’t have and will never want children of any kind ever. Pets are dope though!
-I am pretty active and workout at the gym most days of the week!
-I’m very romantic and looking for that bit of love we’re all searching for. My love languages are physical touch and quality time. I love being that couple who sends each other cute good morning and goodnight texts.
Although I do strongly prefer for you to be local, I’m ok with starting online if there are plans to meet up and be irl if we hit it off and have a super strong connection.
If any of this seems interesting to you, feel free to reach out! Looking forward to hearing from you.

2023.06.10 23:47 Rare-Pickled-Gem AITAH if I call out my mom for not helping enough with her grandson?
My mom adore kids and works in schools - she always promised me she would help with childcare when she became a grandma.
The first year of Covid was really hard on her, schools were just a total shit show. She told me she was only going to work one more school year and then retire. I got pregnant shortly after and she said she couldn’t wait to retire and take care of the baby while I worked. My work shifts were a mix of days, evenings and weekends so just the times when both my husband and I were at work (about 18 hours/week).
Unfortunately she waited until right after my son was born to tell me she actually didn’t want to retire anymore - things were better at work and she said financially she couldn’t afford it. Obviously I felt a little blindsided without a childcare plan. Daycares around us had super long waiting lists not to mention extremely expensive. But I understood and would have hated for her to sacrifice her financial well-being to be my free childcare provider. I offered to pay her so she could retire but with her pension at work it didn’t make sense. I never once got upset with her.
We seriously considered moving somewhere cheaper to afford childcare but my mom would be heartbroken. We finally were able to cobble together a childcare plan that involved me switching to only evening and weekend shifts, my husband covering nap time while he works from home and my mom helping after school for 3-4 hours on 3 days a week. She’s an amazing grandma and takes such good care of my son - I really love seeing their special bond.
Now this is where I could become an asshole… my mom is super social and has a million friends. She has hard time keeping the childcare commitment we worked out. She constantly cancels last minute for dinners, parties etc and is always late because she gets “stuck” chatting with friends at work. In the last 9 months she has only actually helped the full 3 days a week on 4 occasions. Unfortunately it falls on my husband, having to scramble to make work calls while chasing a toddler around the house. He is at his wit’s end.
Is there a way for me to call her out without sounding like a total brat? Or should I just keep my mouth shut and be grateful for the help and that I can avoid paying for daycare? I know she loves spending time with my son and would be very hurt if I hired a nanny instead. I don’t expect her to give up her whole life to raise my kid, I just wish she would follow through on what she says so that we can plan our life accordingly. TIA for any advice!!!
