My dad has a pontoon boat, and his mushroom anchors just aren't doing the trick in muddy Central texas lakes. I don't think their heavy enough, and should probably be the 25lb type since the wind just loves to move it around.

2023.06.08 17:37 imadethisfordirtyr4r 28 [M4F] #Texas - Attractive, sexy-voiced daddy dom seeks long term sub and play partner
TL;DR: Single dom seeks single sub for a relationship with greater depth than just sexual compatibility. (If you're not in Texas, I'm still open to chatting).
Are you tired of scrolling endlessly through horny reddit posts and not finding what you're looking for? Maybe you, like me, have realized that while short-term pleasure is satisfying in the moment, a relationship built on actual human connection is much more fulfilling. If you have, we may be the ones we've been looking for.
About me: Physically, I'm 28, am handsome and have a nice voice, 6' 230lbs, stocky/muscular build, currently rocking the dad stache™.
Other deets: I'm a pretty easygoing guy, open to talking/meeting with chill people for good times of all sorts. I'm confident but make an effort to be kind.
I have a fairly varied spread of interests: reading, writing, cooking, travel, music, movies, sports, tech, outdoors, lifting, etc etc. I read a ton of articles about random shit as well; I like to keep an open mind. Down to share music if you're up for that! I love connecting with someone over music we both really like.
NSFW deets: I'm definitely a daddy dom, and I'm looking for someone for a dd/lg relationship. I'm very good at dirty talk and I like having my instructions followed during voice and video calls with my sub. Some of my kinks include free use, CNC, breeding, spanking, anal play, degradation, edging/denial, bondage, and discreet public play. Limits include: permanent harm, weapons, or any bathroom stuff.
What I'm looking for: I'm looking for someone intelligent, kind, curious, compassionate, and mature. Someone unafraid to be vulnerable enough to connect with another person. I'm not looking for any specific ethnicity or aesthetic, but I am looking for someone who is at least hwp, and ideally fit and/or into fitness of some sort.
Ideally we'll be close enough to meet at least semi-regularly, but even if things are solely online I'd like to chat during the day, sending memes and music and discussing random things until one of us feels like getting frisky.
If you're just interested in a one-time thing, that's fine too so long as you're open with your intentions, but hopefully both of us will be interested in something ongoing as well.
As far as drug use, I rarely drink but get a little high fairly often. I'd prefer you didn't smoke cigarettes, but other than that idgaf what substances you use so long as you're not using any hard stuff.
I'm down to talk, exchange pics, and see how we like each other. I enjoy good conversation and good company. If you're new to BDSM and kink in general, I don't mind taking the lead either.
Reach out if what I'm looking for sounds like what you're looking for too, and tell me a little about yourself and about what attracted you to my post!I'm not looking for any specific ethnicity or aesthetic. I am looking for someone who is at least hwp, but ideally fit and/or into fitness of some sort.

2023.06.08 17:37 Parking_Disk2603 CRITICAL ALERT: Matt Walsh, Daily Wire successfully targeting Folx, Plume
https://twitter.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1666820619227529217?t=9Z4GEGovi5ZYqpDRgkMKXg&s=19 Matt Walsh and The Daily Wire have launched a coordinated attack against Folx and Plume. Yesterday, Walsh claimed that he sent his producer undercover as a transgender woman seeking an orchiectomy to "expose" the organizations for helping trans adults cut through red tape and access care. Moments ago, Walsh stated that his efforts have already gotten the Attorney General of Tennessee to open investigations into both organizations and that he is now hearing back from many other officials, potentially including Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
This is a developing story, but it's clear that telehealth for transgender adults is the next target. Fill your prescriptions while you can.

2023.06.08 17:35 High_Voltage1 60GHz mmWave Radar simulation with openEMS
I have been testing KiCAD's capability to import Altium designs and then exporting them to openEMS to do an EM simulation and also to Blender to render the results. I have used one Texas Instruments mmWave evaluation boards, specifically TIDEP-01001 which features the AWR6843 60GHz single-chip mmWave sensor. The PCB was designed in Altium, I simply opened the project files KiCAD and everything imported correctly. I then exported it from KiCAD as a VMRL file into Blender to extract the geometries and areas of interest, and then exported the geometry as an STL file into openEMS to do the simulation.
There are four channels feeding the patch antenna array, you can see how the e-field component is generated and then propagates in the transmission lines towards the array. Since all the channels are in-phase with each other, the radiated electric field shows one main lobe at 0 degrees, and smaller side lobes.
I am very impressed with the capabilities of KiCAD to import Altium projects, and with openEMS to simulate mmWave PCB designs

2023.06.08 17:26 thinkingstranger June 7, 2023
https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/june-7-2023 Three more candidates have entered the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination this week. Former vice president Mike Pence, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, and current North Dakota governor Doug Burgum join former South Carolina governor and Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, South Carolina senator Tim Scott, Florida governor Ron DeSantis, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, as well as a few others and former president Donald Trump in their hope of winning the nomination.
Taken together, the different candidates offer a window into the current Republican Party. Haley and DeSantis are embracing the cultural issues to which the Trump base is wedded. At a CNN town hall on Sunday, Haley singled out transgender girls as one of her key issues, linking (without any evidence) their presence on girls’ sports teams to an April study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that showed a rise in the number of teenaged girls contemplating self-harm between 2019 and 2021, years that covered the height of the pandemic. (In fact, LGBTQ teenagers have a higher rate of thoughts of self-harm than their straight, gender-conforming peers.)
DeSantis has reached for the Trump base by focusing on immigration. That focus has backfired as unlawful border crossings have dropped more than 70% since President Biden’s ending of the pandemic-related Title 42, and as a new Florida law designed to “scare people from coming to Florida” has resulted in immigrants, whose labor is vital to the state, leaving it.
Apparently trying to reclaim the narrative, in the last week, DeSantis has sent two charter flights taking migrants who have legally applied for asylum in the U.S. from the Texas border to Sacramento, California. While the DeSantis administration claims the migrants went “voluntarily,” they say they were tricked into thinking they would get work in California. One set of the migrants were dropped off outside the Catholic Archdiocese of Sacramento, which had not been alerted they were coming and was closed.
Pence, Hutchinson, and Christie are directly attacking Trump, Pence by saying the events of January 6, 2021, make Trump unfit to be president, Hutchinson by saying Trump should withdraw because of the criminal charges he’s facing, and Christie by attacking Trump and his family as grifters. At Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire yesterday, Christie reminded the audience: “Jared Kushner and Ivanka Kushner walk out of the White House and months later get $2 billion from the Saudis…. You think it’s because he’s some kind of investing genius? Or do you think it’s because he was sitting next to the President of the United States for four years doing favors for the Saudis?... That’s your money he stole and gave it to his family. You know what that makes us? A banana republic.”
Scott and Burgum seem to be trying to offer exhausted Republican voters a rest. Scott is trying to offer an optimistic vision of the United States amidst the apocalyptic narratives of his rivals, denying that systematic racism is a societal problem, for example, while Burgum’s chief attribute seems to be an embrace of pre-2016 Republicanism and a low-key presentation.
That scrum of Republican hopefuls—none of whom is polling well—is the backdrop to this evening’s story from Andrew Feinberg of the
Independent that prosecutors from the Department of Justice are ready to ask a grand jury in Washington, D.C., to indict former president Trump on charges that he has violated the Espionage Act and obstructed justice.
Aside from anything else, the Espionage Act includes language that anyone who “willfully retains…any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, or note relating to the national defense, or information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation… and fails to deliver it on demand to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it” can be punished by as many as ten years in prison.
The story says the jury could vote as early as tomorrow, but it could also be delayed until next week, or beyond. It is worth remembering that this Department of Justice has not been known to leak, and that the sooner Trump is indicted—which certainly looks likely, at least in the case of the missing documents—the sooner his supporters can jump to another candidate, which might suggest a rival camp pushing the story that an indictment will come soon. That same calculation might have been part of what was behind Trump’s insistence to
New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman that he has “NOT been told he’s getting indicted.” And, he added on Truth Social, “I shouldn’t be because I’ve done NOTHING wrong.”
Troubles in the Republican Party are not limited to the 2024 hopefuls. House Republicans continue to fight against House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), angry over the budget deal under which he pushed through a measure to suspend the debt ceiling. McCarthy tried to head off their protests with a promise to establish a commission to cut Social Security and Medicare, but it was not enough. Yesterday, members of the House Freedom Caucus said they would not permit votes on anything until he put in writing what they believed was the deal he made to get their votes for the speakership; that revolt continued today.
Tonight, Jake Sherman of
Punchbowl News reported that McCarthy appears to have agreed to let appropriators write bills that come in below the agreed-upon spending levels. Sherman’s colleague John Bresnahan noted: “The Fiscal Responsibility Act isn’t even a week old & Republicans in the House and Senate are already trying to redo it.”
In other news, CNN has parted ways with Chris Licht, its chief executive officer and chair, who had sought to move the network to what he considered the center of American politics. He had done so by highlighting “both sides” of today’s political arguments, firing leading journalists he thought too far on the left and centering Trump in a town hall that became the former president’s triumphant reentry to the political stage as he lied and bullied the interviewer. Some pundits have taken Licht’s fall as a sign that there is no longer a powerful center in American politics, but my own guess is the opposite: that most of us want news based in reality rather than media giving platforms to people who are openly lying.
Yale scholar of authoritarianism Timothy Snyder today applied this idea to coverage of the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka Dam in Ukraine, which has rained down humanitarian, ecological, and economic disaster on Ukrainians as they appear to be launching a counteroffensive to the Russian invasion of their country.
Snyder warned journalists not to “bothsides” the story by offering equal time to both sides. “What Russian spokespersons have said has almost always been untrue, whereas what Ukrainian spokespersons have said has largely been reliable. The juxtaposition suggests a false equality,” he wrote. “The story doesn't start at the moment the dam explodes. For the last fifteen months Russia has been killing Ukrainian civilians and destroying Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, whereas Ukraine has been trying to protect its people and the structures that keep them alive.” “Objectivity does not mean treating an event as a coin flip between two public statements,” he said. “It demands thinking about the objects and the settings that readers require for understanding amidst uncertainty.”

2023.06.08 17:22 tumorman Sandman Comedy Club Closing 6/25. Rebranding to Sandman Casino Bar opening 8/2
Just got this email from them:
SANDMAN COMEDY CLUB WILL BE CLOSING JUNE 25TH AND REOPENING ON AUGUST 2ND AS SANDMAN CASINO BAR!
Hello Sandman Comedy Club Family. Carrie and I have decided to pivot the business from Sandman Comedy Club to Sandman Casino Bar. Our last show will be June 25th the final of the Comedian contest. We can’t thank our loyal fans enough for supporting us, unfortunately there just wasn’t enough of you to keep the comedy club going. This is such a hard decision because we love comedy so much, and if you know our story you know we started our life together at a comedy show 35 years ago on our first date.
This is not goodbye as we still have 3 weeks of shows for you to attend and say goodbye to Sandman Comedy Club and we hope you can come and see us and enjoy the last three weeks.
You will also be able to come to Sandman Casino Bar which will have 5 pool tables (with pool leagues and tournaments), 2 Beer Pong tables, 6 – 8 Queen machines, Live keno, 2 dart machines (with dart leagues), and 8 Texas Holdem poker tables (with weekly poker leagues and tournaments). Great seating with new couches and chairs, bar seating, great music, and as always, our great food and drinks. As they say when one door closes another opens and Sandman Casino Bar is that other door. We love you and hope you can make one of the last three weekends to say goodbye to Sandman Comedy Club and then see you starting August 2nd at the new Sandman Casino Bar.
Kinda figured this would happen eventually, as I get emails every week for like 3 dollar tickets because they're not selling.

But it’s a East Texas thing around here. EVERYONE DOES THIS. So am i mean for not having that relationship with her or is this something that people just go through with marriage on a regular? Help!

2023.06.08 17:21 Prestigious_Name_PT Looking for Other Chronic Pain Therapists
Hello everyone,
I work Texas at a pediatric hospital as a chronic pain therapist. I took the Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) certification course through Evidence In Motion 1.5 years ago and it has really been a boon for my treatment with chronic pain patients.
Prior to the course transitioning to Evidence In Motion (2-3 years ago if I’m not mistaken), there was a way to look up the contact information of other therapist who completed the course. Now that database is nowhere to be found.
I’m having trouble helping patients who come from 1+ hour away to see me at Pain Clinic because I have no way to find a therapist qualified to treat them. Unfortunately, therapists at standard pediatric or orthopedic clinics have had about a 5% chance of making progress with the patients and a 50%+ chance of actually making them worse.
Does anyone know of a way to find therapists outside of my local area who treats chronic pain (ideally TPS certified) besides calling and vetting the therapists at clinics around the patient?

2023.06.08 17:20 EventWonderful55 DWI Galveston County 1 year after paraphernalia charge.
A close family member of mine got a DWI in Galveston county and has court soon.
About a year ago, they were arrested and charged with “possession of drug paraphernalia.” (I was told that they were drinking and driving when originally pulled over but they were only charged with just the paraphernalia. I wasn’t there so idk).
Anyway, will that have any effect on the judges ruling? Will/can the judge be more strict?
Additionally, this family member has a record outside of Texas from over 10 years ago. I would not be surprised at all if they had a prior DUI/DWI in another state.
Would his record from another state (dui or not) show up or even be considered by the judge at all?

2023.06.08 17:17 Consistent_Ask_9465 It Is Ridiculous When My Stalkers Pretend to Be Superheroes.
Because I can't think of any way to describe these people except for Nazi.
When the overt stalking first began, I began to have videos on YouTube suggested to me of a bunch of creeps dressed in Avengers uniforms tying up Thanos dressed in the exact jacket I usually wore.
A couple of years ago, I read on here how people would follow them around wearing Punisher skulls on their shirts. This is a symbol used by both white supremacists and the policeman. If you watch the Uvalde, Texas school shooting video (where 19 kids and 2 teachers were killed while over a hundred cops stood around), you will see one of the cops checking his phone, which has a huge Punisher skull on it.
And many of the male stalkers that follow me, my wife, or our kids around will wear Superman hats, while the females wear Wonder Woman gear. I don't have to explain the lameness or ridiculousness of this.
Last I checked, the Punisher worked alone and actually helped people. The Avengers weren't a bunch of fascist pussies, and Superman wasn't a man in a wheelchair who hocked a loogie at my young daughter, almost hitting her.
Did I miss something? Did I read the wrong comics?

2023.06.08 17:16 ChimpyEvans 36 [M4F] Houston and surrounding - Friends first, but looking longer term
Getting the physical stuff out of the way first: 6', 300lb, white. Cis.
Background
I'm a single guy living and working out in the Southwest suburbs of the Houston area. I've been out here since 2010, right out of college, for my first job. Luckily, I fell in love with it and have been there for going on 13 years, but unluckily, I feel I've focused more on that of late and have felt lacking in social stimulation. All work and no play, it would seem.
I'm from the DFW area originally, and went to school in Grapevine/Colleyville in the mid-cities and UNT for college. Not much to say about that time, feels like forever ago, but I still visit because my parents are still up there.
Work
I'm a software developer working on compilers for embedded systems. If you need to google any of that, let me help!
- Compiler - Software that reads a language and outputs it in another, usually more primitive language
- Embedded system - A computer system, usually low-power, that controls a very specific function. Examples are:
- Phone WiFi chips
- The monitor and controls on your dashboard
- Whatever controls those levers and cogs on all the machines in the "Satisfying Things" videos on youtube
Interests
Not very active politically, but very liberal in belief. Not religious, but don't mind if you are.
I'm a gamer of all types: board, video, very rarely card.
- Currently enjoying the Binding of Isaac board game and looking into Frosthaven
- Play MMOs and ARPGs mainly. Never played Apex/Fortnite, no CoD, no sports
- Friends all play Magic so I can mostly talk the talk, but never walked the walk
- I bought into Jerma985's Grotto Beasts card game as well, and would be interested in learning that
- Very much love D&D, but can't seem to get friends to play due to schedule/disinterest
My friends all know me as the "food guy", since I know so much about the Houston area restaurant scene. So if you are a fan of finding new and interesting places to try, I'm your guy. This also extends into the kitchen, where I can generally come up with something good regardless of what is available to me. I'm an expert Midnight Gourmand.
I usually plan 1 longish, but still domestic trip a year, but I don't travel all that often. Local exploration is often enough for me. I haven't really built up the courage to go international yet.
Conclusion
First and foremost I'm looking for someone I can hang out/talk with pretty easily. I like to banter, and I feel like my conversations and references can be pretty abstract/ridiculous. You'll get major bonus points if you can field or even feed that.
On the flip side, I love hearing people geek out over their particular fixations, even if I have little to no clue about the actual subject.
I'm open minded to trying other hobbies/interests, but have had trouble in the past actually getting into things. Perhaps I just need a +1?
Regardless, let's talk some! It's so much easier to get a feel for someone when you're hearing their voice and not just reading some words they typed out with no tone.

2023.06.08 17:15 Helli0ncat Inquires Not Found On FAQ
Hello.
I've recently received my Mint mobile plan and sim card in the mail. Before I activate it, I'd like to ask some questions that I couldn't find in the FAQ.
Due to the primary account holder of the Tmobile plan I'm currently on not being compliant to give me a transfer PIN, I will have to change my phone number.
I live in Houston, Texas, but my current number is a 719 area code from Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I'm from and continue to frequently visit and do business. Is it at all possible to get a new number with the same 719 area code that hails from Colorado Springs, Colorado despite the fact I reside in Houston, Texas?
Also, this phone plan was purchased by a family member and gifted to me. Everything implies it's under their name even though it was intended for me and sent to my address. Will the plan, once activated, be in their name or will I be able to change it to my own?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
